China restricts fasting in Ramazan for Xinjiang govt staff, minors

BEIJING: China has marked the start of Ramazan by restricting civil servants, students and children in a mainly Muslim region from fasting, government websites said as the holy month began on Monday.

China's ruling Communist party is officially atheist and for years has banned government employees and minors from fasting in Xinjiang, home to the more than 10 million strong mostly Muslim Uighur minority. It has also ordered restaurants to stay open.

The region sees regular clashes between Uighurs and state security forces, and Beijing has blamed deadly attacks there and elsewhere in China on militants seeking independence for the resource-rich region.

Rights groups blame tensions on religious and cultural restrictions placed on Uighurs and other Muslim minorities in the vast area, which abuts Central Asia.

Several local government departments in Xinjiang posted notices on their websites in the last week ordering restrictions on fasting during Ramazan.

During the holy month, the faithful fast from dawn to dusk and strive to be more pious.

"Party members, cadres, civil servants, students and minors must not fast for Ramazan and must not take part in religious activities," a notice posted on Thursday on the government website of central Xinjiang's Korla city said.

"During the Ramazan month, food and drink businesses must not close," it added.

A Uighur official in the city's Tiekeqi township named Ahmatjan Tohti told a group of men wearing traditional doppa hats at a meeting last Monday that officials should "resolutely stop party members, civil servants, students and minors from entering mosques for religious activities" during the festival, a separate report posted on the website last Tuesday ,said.

A website run by the education bureau of the regional capital Urumqi's Shuimogou district posted a notice last Monday calling for "prevention of students and teachers from all schools from entering mosques for religious activities", during Ramadan.

In the northern city of Altay, officials agreed to "increase contact with parents", to "prevent fasting during Ramazan", according to a post Friday on the state-run China Ethnicities Religion website.

Meanwhile the website of the Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County government in northwest Xinjiang said Monday that restaurants in the area would be instructed to stay open during Ramadan to "ensure that the broader masses have normal access to cuisine".

Dilxat Raxit of the World Uighur Congress, an exile group, condemned the restrictions in an email Monday, adding: "China thinks that the Islamic faith of Uighurs threatens the rule of the Beijing leadership".

China keeps tight control over religious groups, though Beijing often says it grants citizens broad freedom of belief.

China's State Council on Thursday released a white paper which declared that religious freedom in Xinjiang "cannot be matched by any other period in history".

"During the month of Ramazan, Muslim restaurants can decide whether they want to do business. There will be no interference," it said.

"Local governments ensure that all religious activities during Ramazan go on in an orderly manner," it added.

X Posted from the "Bangladesh News and Discussion" thread.

Denial of the existence of religion motivated violence inherent in Mohammaddenism crops up yet again, this time in Bangladesh with that countries Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan claiming Israel and thus presumable Jews are behind the spate of killings of Non-Mohammadden’s and secular bloggers.

Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in his own words:
"Bangladesh has become the target of an international conspiracy. And a foreign intelligence agency has joined the conspiracy," Mr Khan said.

When asked to elaborate, he said: "You must have noticed that an Israeli intelligence agent had a meeting with a politician, it does not need to be verified further, all Bangladeshi know about it."………………………

Opposition MP Aslam Chowdhury was recently arrested and charged with sedition after he was pictured meeting Israeli government adviser Mendi Safadi in India.

Global threat from Islamic States remains high: UN chief

UNITED NATIONS: The global threat emanating from Islamic State (IS) remains high, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said in a report.

The continued military pressure exerted in Iraq and Syria by international coalition forces has led to serious military setbacks for IS, Xinhua quoted Ban as saying in the report issued on Monday.

"However, even though the territorial expansion of IS in both states (Syria and Iraq) has been halted and, in part reversed over recent months, many (UN) member states have noted that IS is not yet strategically and irreversibly weakened."

"A worrying factor is that no member state has reported that IS is short on, or lacks, arms or ammunition," he said.

Over the past six months alone, "Islamic State has carried out, inspired, or claimed responsibility for, terrorist attacks in Bangladesh, Belgium, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Lebanon, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Turkey and the US," he said.

"The attacks have killed more than 500 individuals and injured hundreds more."

National law enforcement agencies continue to investigate those attacks, but it is already clear that they were coordinated by foreign terrorist fighters who had returned to Europe from IS-held territory in Syria, Ban noted.

"This demonstrates the ability of IS returnees to quickly link up and draw on the support of established radical networks and supporters of Al-Qaeda and thereby enhance their newly acquired terrorism skills with local knowledge and support," he said.

The secretary-general also said: "Significant numbers of foreign terrorist fighters continue to travel from states around the world to join IS in Iraq and Syria."

He said this while citing a report from a member state saying that around 38,000 individuals may have attempted to travel to the region in the past few years.

"Countermeasures taken by states to detect and deter foreign terrorist fighters, and increased controls at the borders of Iraq and the Syrian Arab Republic, may be affecting the numbers of such fighters able to join IS."

The UN Security Council has maintained that IS, also known as Daesh, poses a threat to international peace and security, calling upon all UN member states to fight the terrorist group, including making the joint efforts to cut off funds for it.

Ban called for strengthened international cooperation to fight IS and other terrorist groups in the world.

A massive fire at Düsseldorf’s major international trade fair grounds yesterday has been followed by reports that the blaze was set deliberately by migrants who were angry because of Ramadan.
There were initially two arrests of migrants that were found at the scene boasting about setting the fire, but this number later rose to six. The men arrested are reported to have been citizens of Morocco, Algeria, Syria and Iraq.

Waitress assaulted on French Riviera for 'serving alcohol' on first day of holy month of Ramadan
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06 ... l-on-firs/

excerpts
A waitress in a cafe in central Nice has filed a police complaint after she was allegedly assaulted by two men because she refused to “stop serving alcohol” on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The alleged beating in the French Riviera town historically famed for its sun, palm-fringed beach front and quality of life, has prompted a heated political debate over whether the country is increasingly becoming prey to “religious fundamentalism and ghettoised communities”.
and
“I didn’t think that in France, country of liberty, I would have been assaulted like that”Waitress
The men launched into a tirade, calling her a “dirty whore” and left the cafe in a hurry. A few seconds later, however, the venue's CCTV footage reportedly shows the two men turn round abruptly and one of them rush towards her and violently slap the waitress in the face, knocking her to the floor.

Twin suicide bombings by Mohammadden Terrorist group Islamic State aka IS aka ISIL in Iraq kill 27.

If memory serves these two attacks represent the first Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden religion motivated acts of blood-letting since the start of the Mohammadden holy month of Ramzan / Ramazan/ Ramadan in 2016. If Intra-Mohammadden religion motivated violence during previous Ramzan’s is anything to go by this will not be the last act of self inflicted mayhem we will see during Ramzan 2016.

Clearly message floated by prominent Mohammadden Leaders that theirs is “The Religion Of Peace” has not reached the Islamic State notwithstanding the group identifying itself with Mohammaddenism via the name it has adopted:

Seems to be outcome of Intra-Mohammadden Shia-Sunni sectarian differences. Above linked Breibart article reports that Iranians (Presumably Shia Mohammaddens) did not wake up Arabs (Presumably Sunni Mohammaddens) resulting in the Arabs peing peeved as they were not able to tuck in before the Ramadan / Ramzan month fasting period started:

According to the testimony of “several burly Moroccan refugees” which the paper had spoken to even as the hall burnt down, the Iranians employed by the German state to look after other migrants from around the world had “deliberately” not woken the Arabs up in time for their Ramadan breakfast following a long run dispute. ......................

Under Islamic tradition, during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar the faithful enter a fast between sunrise and sunset in commemoration of Muhammed. In practice this means sleeping-in leaves the Muslim without food until sunset around half-past-nine at night.

Saudis Threaten Use Of "Money Diplomacy "

Saudi Arabian allies pressured UN chief to issue blacklist reversal, sources say
Muslim allies of Saudi Arabia piled pressure on UN chief Ban Ki-moon over the blacklisting of a Saudi-led coalition for killing children in Yemen, with Riyadh threatening to cut Palestinian aid and funds to other UN programs, according to diplomatic sources.
The United Nations announced on Monday it had removed the coalition from a child rights blacklist – released last week – pending a joint review by the world body and the coalition of cases of child deaths and injuries during the war in Yemen.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the sources said Ban’s office was bombarded with calls from Gulf Arab foreign ministers, as well as ministers from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), after the blacklisting was announced last week. One UN official spoke of a “full-court press” over the blacklisting.
“Bullying, threats, pressure,” another diplomatic source told Reuters on condition of anonymity about the reaction to the blacklisting, adding tha
The source said there was also a threat of “clerics in Riyadh meeting to issue a fatwa against the UN, declaring it anti-Muslim, which would mean no contacts of OIC members, no relations, contributions, support, to any UN projects, programs”.
Am sure that Saudi Ghulam Pakistan, as self proclaimed Head Of Ummah must have done its part as well !
Responding to the allegations, the Saudi ambassador to the UN, Abdallah al-Mouallimi, said, “we don’t use threats or intimidation”, and Riyadh was “very committed to the United Nations”.
Mouallimi denied any threat of a possible fatwa.
“That’s ridiculous, that’s outrageous,” he said, adding that the meeting of Saudi clerics was to approve and issue a statement condemning the blacklisting of the coalition.
Taqqiya in action !!!

Mouallimi denied any threat of a possible fatwa.
“That’s ridiculous, that’s outrageous,” he said, adding that the meeting of Saudi clerics was to approve and issue a statement condemning the blacklisting of the coalition.
One diplomatic source familiar with the situation said the Saudi fury was to be expected, adding that “the SG’s [secretary-general’s] reaction to the pushback was disappointing”.
Another diplomatic source said the recent spat between the UN and Morocco over Ban’s use of the term “occupation” to describe Morocco’s presence in the disputed territory of western Sahara had set a bad precedent.
He noted that when Morocco demanded the expulsion of dozens of civilian staff in the UN peacekeeping mission there earlier this year, the UN security council failed to rally behind Ban with a strong show of support. That, he added, set a dangerous precedent for the world body’s 193 member states.
“The message was clear,” the diplomatic source said. “If you get tough with the secretary-general, the security council isn’t going to come to his aid.”

The deathly drumbeat of Mohammadden violence during the Mohammadden holy month of Ramadan aka Ramzan over the years causes a Non-Mohammadden to question her Mohammadden friends.

Renee Garfinkle asks her Mohammadden friends why the Mohammadden holy month of Ramadan / Ramzan “today is a time of chaos and mayhem, murder and destruction” resulting in the “tarnished the reputation of Islam itself”:
My Muslim friends tell me that Ramadan is a holy month. They say it is a month dedicated to introspection, facilitated by daily fasting. Fasting lets you know in the most intimate way that you are but a fragile creature, dependent on God for your very existence. Fasting is also meant to facilitate empathy with the poor and needy. Ramadan is a month for appreciating one’s relationship with family, friends, and most of all, with God. The combination of worship, introspection and social activity is designed create an opportunity to grow spiritually, and to become more generous and kind.

So it is sad to see that very word “Ramadan” has come to mean the opposite of its original intention. Ramadan today is a time of chaos and mayhem, murder and destruction. Islamist terror attacks that take place in the month of Ramadan, and in the name of Ramadan, have sullied not only Islamism, but, by association, the Ramadan attacks have tarnished the reputation of Islam itself. To the pain of religious people everywhere, Ramadan violence has dishonored religion in general. Murder in the name of God is a disgrace to God.

Last year murderous Ramadan attacks took place in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Jihad’s innocent victims were killed in France, Syria, Tunisia, Somalia and Kuwait.

Monday was the first day of this year’s Ramadan. In the past five days, 9 people have been murdered, and many more severely injured in terrorist attacks. In Amman, an attack against the office of Jordan’s national intelligence agency killed five employees, including 3 intelligence officers. Yesterday in a Tel Aviv restaurant, the victims included a mother of four, a professor, a Coca-Cola employee, and a woman waiting to meet her fiancé. Hamas claimed the Tel Aviv terrorists as their own. ………………………………

SYDNEY (Reuters) - A British Islamic scholar who toured Orlando this year and had preached in 2013 that "death is the sentence" for homosexual acts left Australia on Tuesday after the government launched an "urgent" review of his visa because of his comments.

Farrokh Sekaleshfar, a senior Shi'ite Muslim scholar, was giving a series of lectures at an Islamic center in Sydney on the topic of spirituality.

Sekaleshfar said in a lecture in Michigan in 2013 that in an Islamic society, the death penalty should be carried out for homosexuals who engaged in sodomy.

"Out of compassion, let’s get rid of him now, because he’s contaminating society," Sekaleshfar said in a talk at that time, according to a recording available online

Omar Mateen Had A Second Wife ! She May Face Charges In Connection With Attack .
Omar Mateen's wife Noor Salman went with him to Pulse nightclub and to buy ammo, might face criminal charges
The wife of Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen was right by his side as he bought ammunition, and even drove him once to the Pulse nightclub — but tried talking him out of an attack there, according to a new report.
Officials told NBC News Noor Zahi Salman, Mateen’s second wife, might face criminal charges for failing to tell authorities what she knew before the Sunday attack.
Salman was spotted Tuesday for the first time since the massacre — shielding her face from news cameras as she left the Florida home she once shared with the madman.
Salman has remained out of the public eye since her husband committed the worst mass shooting in American history. But Mateen’s first wife, Sitora Yusufiy — who divorced him in 2011 — has widely discussed her ex-husband’s physical abuse and ambiguous sexuality.
Reports have surfaced that he may have had "gay tendencies"
Few details are known about Salman and her marriage to the budding terrorist. Public records say Salman, 30, lived in a Chicago suburb before moving into Mateen’s Fort Pierce home in 2012, and then buying a house with him in Port Saint Lucie the next year.
Salman grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and attended Heald College-Concord, a local school that is now defunct.
Salman’s family seemed to keep to themselves.
“We never really know who lives next door to us,” neighbor Glauber Franchi said.
Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, claimed Salman and the couple’s son were with Mateen only a few months ago — when he became enraged by seeing gay men in Miami kissing in front of his family. The father said the incident may have made Mateen snap, eventually leading to him murdering 49 people at Orlando’s Pulse gay nightclub.
But some Pulse regulars have said Mateen was spotted in the club several times in recent years, and chatted with gay men through dating apps like Grindr.
Grindr declined comment about the reports, citing ongoing investigations.

Only 45 Islamic terror attacks in India?

According to SATP, since the year 2000, there have been 77 terror attacks in India outside of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Northeast, nearly all of which are of the Peaceful variety.

http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries ... ttacks.htm

J&K alone has witnessed 47234 terror-related incidents since 1988.

NBC reports that “Law enforcement sources told NBC News he swore allegiance to the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in a phone call to 911 moments before the rampage at Pulse”:

Meanwhile US Presidential candidate Donald Trump tweets that the Mohammadden attacker of Orlando nightclub frequented by homosexuals had raised Mohammadden religious slogan of “Allah Hu Akbar” during the attack:

One more story suggesting Mohammaddenism has played a role in motivating the Orlando nightclub attacker’s deadly rampage. Fox News reports that Omar Mateen the Mohammadden attacker of the gay nightclub had associated with Mohammadden Cleric Abu Taubah aka Marcus Dwayne Robertson who had done a stint in prison:

Orlando gunman tied to radical imam released from prison last year, say law enforcement sources
Even as there appears to be a concerted attempt to persuade ”Kaafir” “Dhimmi’s” to accept that the attack on the Gay Nightclub in Orlando in the US has nothing whatsoever to do with Mohammaddenism but rather was a case of Homophobia of the self loathing kind , a Mental Health issue or a Gun control issue, Fox News digs up Facebook posts by perpetrator Omar Mateen that shows that Mateen’s deadly rampage was motivated by the Mohammadden religion

Face books Posts made by Omar Mateen per Fox News include:
“I pledge my alliance to (ISIS leader) abu bakr al Baghdadi..may Allah accept me,”
“The real muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west”
“You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes..now taste the Islamic state vengeance.”

X Posted from the STFUP thread.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Foreign Office is making a big deal that a bouncer at the gay club in Orlando in the US which was shot up in a Mohammadden Terrorist act and who helped save many was a Mohammadden on the basis of his name being Imran Yousuf. Problem is however the bouncer despite his name is a Hindu.

Claim of bouncer Imran Yousuf being Hindu being put forward by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria:
This guy saved 70 people in Orlando shootings. His name is Imran Yousuf ………..

Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria also drew attention towards the Muslim ex-marine who saved the lives of tens of people inside the club.

“We need to reflect on these kind of acts also which Muslims are performing over there and the contributions Muslims have made over there,” Zakaria emphasised.

ET
CBS News which broke the story on the bouncer was quite explicit in saying the bouncer Imran Yousuf is Hindu:
Yousuf, a 24-year-old Hindu, served as a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan

More details here from India West based on information from the bouncer Imran Yousuf’s Aunt:
The Yousufs emigrated from India to Guyana four generations ago. Imran Yousuf’s paternal grandfather is Muslim, and his grandmother is Hindu, so his father Rasheed is a mix of both ethnicities.

Yousuf’s mother Norma is Hindu, and Imran Yousuf identifies as a Hindu, said Christina Yousuf.

Good Article, but there is a serious flaw with Obama's model about Islam. It is based on quarterly earnings, short-term equations.

Too many wrong assumptions:

1) Reformation of Islam is inevitable because reformation of Christianity, another religion, also happened.

2) There is a constituency among empowered Muslims willing and capable to undertake this reformation of Islam and make it compatible with modernity.

3) Any gains in entrenching Muslims into a tolerant pluralistic society are permanent and multi-generational.

4) Islam can be convincingly divided into a tolerant religion and an ideology of war against the Kufr.

5) Western Liberal view of a progressive Islam is more attractive to Muslims than the preaching of extremist Islamists.

6) Basically both Liberals and Islamists end up telling the Muslims the same thing - that their religion is good and they should remain within it, forgetting that Muslims would be guided how to become good members of a good religion by the preaching of the Mullah, and not by them.

And during this tussle among 'moderate' Muslims, as if such a group exists, and 'radical' Muslims, the rest of the world is supposed to give the 'moderate' Muslim an axe and put his own head on the guillotine, just to prove again and again that the other is convinced that the general Muslim is not bad, giving a non-existing constituency of 'moderate' Muslims, the impossible power to tackle 'radical' Islam.

Too many wrong assumptions:
Not at all clear to me where these wrong assumptions are.

1) Reformation of Islam is inevitable because reformation of Christianity, another religion, also happened.

2) There is a constituency among empowered Muslims willing and capable to undertake this reformation of Islam and make it compatible with modernity.
Quote: If anything, his pessimism on matters related to the dysfunctions of Muslim states, and to the inability of the umma—the worldwide community of Muslims—to contain and ultimately neutralize the extremist elements in its midst, has, at times, an almost paralyzing effect on him.

3) Any gains in entrenching Muslims into a tolerant pluralistic society are permanent and multi-generational.

4) Islam can be convincingly divided into a tolerant religion and an ideology of war against the Kufr.
....that the underlying problems afflicting Islam are too deep, and too resistant to American intervention, to warrant implementation of the sort of policies that his critics, including his critics in foreign-policy think tanks, demand.

Quote:

...He sees the problems affecting parts of the Muslim world as largely outside American control.

At one point, he suggested, to my surprise (I’m not immune to the power of these caricatures) that far too many Arab Muslims, in particular, have given themselves over to hatred and violence.

...
Obama went on to say that if America is not engaging these young Asians “because if the only thing we’re doing is figuring out how to destroy or cordon off or control the malicious, nihilistic, violent parts of humanity, then we’re missing the boat.”

...
However, given the realities of the battlefield—that most of the fighting against ISIS is done by Muslim-majority states, and Muslim organizations, and that the leaders of these entities would rather not see the U.S. overgeneralize its description of the fight—then it seems to me, at least, that Obama’s semantic prudence is justifiable.
...

In one conversation, parts of which I’ve previously recounted, Obama talked about the decades-long confrontation between the U.S. and communism, and compared it to the current crisis. “You have some on the Republican side who will insist that what we need is the same moral clarity with respect to radical Islam” that Ronald Reagan had with communism, he said. “Except, of course, communism was not embedded in a whole bunch of cultures, communism wasn’t a millennium-old religion that was embraced by a whole host of good, decent, hard-working people who are our allies. Communism for the most part was a foreign, abstract ideology that had been adopted by some nationalist figures, or those who were concerned about poverty and inequality in their countries but wasn’t organic to these cultures.”

He went on to say, “Establishing some moral clarity about what communism was and wasn’t, and being able to say to the people of Latin America or the people of Eastern Europe, ‘There’s a better way for you to achieve your goals,’ that was something that could be useful to do.” But, he said, “to analogize it to one of the world’s foremost religions that is the center of people’s lives all around the world, and to potentially paint that as a broad brush, isn’t providing moral clarity. What it’s doing is alienating a whole host of people who we need to work with us in order to succeed.”

....
“There is ... the need for Islam as a whole to challenge that interpretation of Islam, to isolate it, and to undergo a vigorous discussion within their community about how Islam works as part of a peaceful, modern society,” Obama told me.

----
From which I deduce Obama's view is that:

1. American intervention cannot change Islam.

2. Islam is not like communism. Communism was a recent overlay on some other culture. Islam is deeply embedded in the culture of its peoples. So anti-communism approach cannot work with Islam.

3. The current fight against ISIS, etc., is largely being conducted by Muslims - they are mostly the people in the battlefield. America cannot afford to alienate them.

4. America cannot do it; templating the struggle as a clash of civilizations cannot do it; only Muslims can change Islam (if at all such a thing is possible, note his pessimism).

5. The young people of Asia who are contributing to civilization are as large or a larger priority for America than cordoning off or destroying "the malicious, nihilistic, violent parts of humanity" (guess who those unnamed parts of humanity are?)

Another Country Declares Malsi Persona Non Grata !

Prime Minister of Slovakia says Islam has “no place” in his country
SLOVAKIA (Web Desk) – The blunt Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico has made a hardline statement concerning Muslims in his country, just as he is on the verge of occupying the seat of European Union President, an albeit ceremonial position rotated between the different EU states.
“Islam has no place in Slovakia,” Fico told reporters in May. Warning that “migrants change the character of our country,” Fico declared he wouldn’t allow such change to affect his nation.
Since Slovakia is a Christian country, we cannot tolerate an influx of 300,000 to 400,000 Muslim immigrants who would like to start building mosques all over our land and trying to change the nature, culture and values of the state,” he said in January last year.
Should send c.c. to Billary Clinton !
Slovakian premier also clarified that he will not support the formation of a unified Muslim community voluntarily in his state.
“Multiculturalism is a fiction. Once you let migrants [Muslims] in, you can face such problems,” he said referring to the spate of attacks on women in public spaces in the German city of Cologne by Muslim migrants
Agree cent percent with him !

https://www.clarionproject.org/news/cai ... ve-fraud-0#
The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) will stand trial on charges of fraud and cover up for alleged crimes perpetrated against hundreds of victims, according to a new ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

The case against CAIR National was originally dismissed by a federal judge but unanimously overturned by the appellate court. Two cases are involved in the suit, which the appellate court consolidated into one, since both cases involve racketeering, a federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) crime.

The lawsuits claim that CAIR National was aware that Morris Days, the “Resident Attorney” and “Manager for Civil Rights” at the now defunct CAIR-Maryland/Virginia chapter in Herndon, Virginia, was in fact not an attorney and that he failed to provide legal services for clients who came to CAIR for legal representation.

Moreover, the suits claim, CAIR knew of this fraud and purposefully conspired with Days to keep the CAIR clients from discovering that their legal matters were being mishandled or not handled at all. In addition, the complaints allege that, according to CAIR’s own internal documents, there were hundreds of victims of the fraud scheme.

While the original federal judge in the case ruled that Days and CAIR’s Virginia chapter were liable for fraud, he concluded that CAIR National was not responsible for Days’ conduct. The appeals court, however, found that, upon a review of the evidence, there was a direct relationship between CAIR National and Days.

David Yerushalmi, senior counsel for the plaintiffs in the case and co-founder of the American Freedom Law Center, remarked, “CAIR engaged in a massive criminal fraud in which literally hundreds of CAIR clients have been victimized.

“In his ruling, Judge Friedman [the original judge] inexplicably ignored material facts that establish CAIR National’s liability and then engaged in a transparently disingenuous ‘weighing’ of the factual evidence he did address … We are thankful that the appeals court has rectified the trial court’s errors. Now, at long last, our clients will go before a jury and get their day in court.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has a history of Islamist extremism including links to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The U.S. Justice Department labeled CAIR an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a Hamas-financing trial and listed CAIR as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity.

CAIR was also listed by the Justice Department as a part of the Brotherhood’s covert “Palestine Committee” to support Hamas in the United States.

In addition, CAIR was officially designated a terrorist organization on by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 15, 2014.

West bowing to radical Islam
By Tarek Fateh.

Almost 10 years ago, Maclean’s magazine published an essay by Mark Steyn titled, “The future belongs to Islam”.
In it, he suggested, “the West is growing old and enfeebled, and lacks the will to rebuff those who would supplant it.”
It was an extract from Steyn’s then best-selling book America Alone, where he concluded, “It’s the end of the world as we’ve known it.”
Steyn wrote: “We are witnessing the end of the late 20th-century progressive welfare democracy. The children and grandchildren of those fascists and republicans who waged a bitter civil war for the future of Spain now shrug when a bunch of foreigners blow up their capital. Too sedated even to sue for terms, they capitulate instantly."
There was an outcry among Canada’s Islamists, who took Steyn and Maclean’s to the Ontario and British Columbia Human Rights Commissions.
My fellow Sun columnist, Farzana Hassan, and I wrote a rejoinder in Maclean’s titled, “Mark Steyn has a right to be wrong.”
Today, I recognize, Steyn was right and I was wrong.
In spite of so many "horror stories", the blame, pointing to the door of "Radical" Islam, Governments around the world are still giving the benefit of doubt to Malsi !
If there were any doubts the West is abdicating its responsibility to stand up for Western values, the amateur attempts by the FBI to cover up the Islamist nature of the Orlando attack, removed them.
At first, the FBI refused to even mention the fact the Orlando jihadi was inspired by ISIS, but after criticism, released the text of his 911 calls, but not the audio.
It replaced the word “Allah” with “‘God”, despite knowing precise words matter in truth-telling.
It was clearly an attempt to make the attack appear homophobic, not Islamist.
President Barack Obama and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton deflected attention from the obvious Islamic nature of the terrorism to a debate about gun control.
Billary Clinton cannot seen to offend her Saudi (financial) patrons !
An FBI spokesman did the same when he downplayed the role of Islamism in the attack, editorializing that the killer, “does not represent the religion of Islam, but a perverted view, which based on what we know today, was inspired by extremist killers.”
Chia Barsen, a 32-year old Canadian Marxist, was 10 when his family fled Islamic Iran, political refugees escaping the murderous rule of its barbaric ayatollahs.
Commenting on the liberal left’s reaction to the Oralando massacre, Barsen wrote on his blog:
“Blaming guns for the Islamist murder of 49 people in the Orlando gay club, is like saying that Zyklon B gas was the cause of the Holocausts and not the Nazis. Gun control is a clear and present issue in the U.S. and there are countless episodes of shootings in the U.S. to justify the removal of all guns (not just automatic weapons), from the streets.
“However, piggybacking on the gun control debate and not making any mention of the threat of Political Islam and Islamism, is the furthering of a political agenda and not simple ignorance or apathy.” Exactly.
Calling "spade" a "spade" is politically incorrect !

Ramzan Crackdown In Makkah Yields "Rich Harvest" Of "Un-Islamic Habits And Traditions"

50 Saudis detained over 'un-Islamic' necklaces, haircuts
RIYADH: Fifty young men have been arrested in Saudi Arabia for haircuts, necklaces and other adornments considered un-Islamic.
The suspects were detained during a Ramazan crackdown in Makkah, according to Saudi news website Sabq.
"They were handed over to the department of criminal investigations," said Sabq, which accompanied investigators during their visits to shopping areas in the city.
So, according to this report, only "male violators" were targeted, while "Under the Burkha/Nikab" Un-Islamic behaviour ( eg. unorthodox items like , max factor makeup, Harry Winston jewellery) was being "tolerated" ; is this "Halal" in Malsi ,where Man and Woman are supposed to be treated equally Under The Book?
Officers noticed "a number of offences like strange haircuts, chains that are hung upon the chest or arms, head wraps and short clothes and immodest ones ─ for both men and women", reported Sabq, which is close to the authorities.
Saudi Arabia, an absolute Islamic monarchy, is a highly conservative country.
Women dress from head to toe in black and are not allowed to drive or mingle with unrelated men.
But behind the" four walls" of the Palace/ mansion/ bungalow anything goes (liquor, sex, gambling, drugs, prostitution, spousal/ servant abuse etc etc )
But more than half of Saudi citizens are under the age of 25, an Internet-savvy generation that spends much of its life online away from official strictures.
One of the kingdom's most powerful figures, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 30, is leading the Vision 2030 reform drive to diversify the economy and also bring social change.
The plan calls for more entertainment, cultural and sports opportunities.
In April, cabinet stripped the frequently criticised religious police of their powers to arrest.
Members of the Haia force, among whose duties was to monitor people's dress, can now only offer advice.
They must report violators to regular police officers for followup.
Window dressing gimmicks won't work !
