Polish Catholics to form border prayer chain 'for world peace'

WARSAW: Hundreds of thousands of Polish Catholics are expected to descend Saturday on the country's borders to recite the rosary "to save Poland and the world" from the dangers facing them, organisers say, but others claim the event is aimed at protecting Europe from what they term a Muslim onslaught.

The episcopate insists that the "Rosary to the Borders" is a purely religious initiative, but some Catholics view it as a weapon against "Islamisation."

The date was not chosen at random. October 7 is when Catholics celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, marking the 1571 victory of Christianity over the Ottoman Turks at the Battle of Lepanto.

A victory attributed to the recital of the rosary "that saved Europe from Islamisation", the Solo Dios Basta foundation said on the website of the event it is organising.

Many Poles see Islam as a threat. The conservative government, which enjoys the backing of a sizeable portion of the population, refuses to welcome migrants to Poland, which has very few Muslims of its own.

Twenty-two border dioceses will take part in the event, whose faithful will congregate in some 200 churches for a lecture and mass before travelling to the border to say the rosary.

The goal is to have as many prayer points as possible along the 3,511 kilometres (about 2,200 miles) that make up Poland's borders with Belarus, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine and the Baltic Sea.

Fishing boats will join in at sea, while kayaks and sailboats will form a chain along rivers and lakes. Prayers will also be said at the chapels of a few international airports.

- 'Spiritual barrier' -

Organisers hope one million people will show for the event. The railways are offering tickets for a symbolic 1 zloty (27 cents, 23 euro cents) to around 40 destinations on the border.

Those who are unable to attend can instead catch the event live on ultra-Catholic broadcaster Radio Maryja.

The goal is to pray for world peace, according to Father Pawel Rytel-Andrianik, spokesman for the Polish Bishops' Conference.

"The initiative obviously received the approval of Poland's bishops," he told AFP, emphasising that it would be wrong to view the event as a prayer against the arrival of Muslim refugees.

"It is not a matter of closing ourselves off to others. On the contrary, the point of bringing the rosary to the borders is to break down walls and open ourselves up to Russians, Belarussians, Slovaks, Ukrainians and Germans," he said.

But for the nationalist Catholic activist Marcin Dybowski, it is clear "that a religious war between Christianity and Islam is once again underway in Europe, just like in the past."

"Europe has been invaded by Islam, which doesn't respect our mores, our civilisation. The (terrorist) attacks leave behind hundreds of victims. Europe only makes a show of protecting borders," he said.

Dybowski, an editor of religious books, is behind the Rosary Crusade for the Motherland, a religious and political initiative bringing together ultra-Catholic nationalists.

"The reality is that there are no borders. (German Chancellor Angela) Merkel opened them up to a large extent," he told AFP.

"Poland is in danger. We need to shield our families, our homes, our country from all kinds of threats, including the de-Christianisation of our society, which the EU's liberals want to impose on us," he said.

"Austria and Hungary built barbed-wire walls against refugees. We're using prayer to create a spiritual barrier against the dangers of terrorism."

Probably OT for this thread, but an interesting article nevertheless.

Don't see many Pakistanis coming down on governments that need to do more against terrorism. Interesting to see this Paki journalist (key point - lives in Germany) hitting hard against Western governments that do not take action against hate-preachers and others who are trouble makers. Calling for the arrest of such recruiters and facilitators and the closing down of seminaries where they preach from.

The Roots of Islamic Terrorism

"Last month, an Islamic preacher was caught red-handed in Britain preaching for ISIS and jihad, and inciting youths to commit violence against non-Muslims. To everyone's purported astonishment, he was not delivering his lectures on websites. He was delivering sermons live in a public-charity mosque -- funded by taxpayers -- in Stoke-on-Trent.

France and Britain remain in the constant grip of Islamist terror, yet their governments, despite having laws prohibiting "hate speech", have so far failed to address the influence that preachers of violence and hatred have with local Muslims.

Blaming terror recruitment only on the internet is just an invented story, like the one that every suicide bomber or those who committed acts of terror in the name of Islam were lone wolves who merely took "inspiration" from terror outfits such as al-Qaeda or ISIS.

Governments in Britain and other countries in the grip of terror posed by Islamists have probably also been using the "online" excuse to shake off any charges of reckless endangerment or criminal neglect that they have might have committed by allowing these extremists to flourish in West.

The terrorists involved in the Parsons Green Underground attack and other incidents, as in Barcelona, were found to have ties with local mosques or seminaries, yet the administrations of these places have refused to take any responsibility, and stated that they are not accountable for the acts of their members."

Attack On "Malsi Material" By China

China Shutters Islamic Bookstore in Beijing, Detains Owner on 'Terrorism' Charges
Authorities in Beijing have shut down a well-known Islamic bookstore and publishing house and detained its founder on "terrorism" charges amid a nationwide security operation ahead of the ruling Chinese Communist Party's five-yearly congress this month. An employee who answered the phone at the Qingzhen Bookstore in Beijing's Haidian district on Tuesday confirmed the move."We, the bookstore, have closed," the former employee said. "We are no longer in operation and I am no longer an employee here.""I don't know the details of the situation, though." Has this news "arrived" in Pakiland at the Binora Masjid in Karachi, The Lal Masjid In Isloo, And The University Of Jihad In Akora Khattak in KP province, or the ISPR HQ in Islamabad
Store owner Ma Yinglong, a member of the Dongxiang ethnic group from the northwestern region of Xinjiang, is currently being detained on suspicion of "terrorist activities," U.S.-based rights activist Suleiman Gu told RFA. And a Hui Muslim who asked to remain anonymous said Ma had already been detained for more than a year, before being released under a suspended sentence handed down by the Haidian District People's Court for "illegal business activities." The owner was already under house arrest when he was taken away on Oct. 6, Gu said. Massaland being "openly used" as a propaganda tool against China. China should protest !!!
The closure of the bookstore comes amid a huge nationwide "stability maintenance" operation that has seen the mass confiscation of Qurans and other religious items from ethnic minority Muslims in Xinjiang, and a ban on ethnic minority Uyghurs from hotels nationwide ahead of the 19th Party Congress in Beijing on Oct. 18.The government has also stepped up control over religious activities, meting out harsher punishments for unsanctioned religious activities and stepping up supervision of religious groups in a bid to "block extremism" and tackle "terrorism."New rules ban the use of religion as "a tool to sabotage national security, social order or China’s education system, or to damage ethnic unity or carry out terrorist activities." The Mullahs of Pakistan are the very first to raise the cry of "Malsi in Danger", whether in Kashmir, Rakhine State in Mynmar , or Kosovo, but definitely not in China. Criticism of "taller than mountain fliend" is prohibited in Islamic Pakistan

Islamism & Islamophobia Abroad - News & Analysis (9-8-2014)

Once promised paradise, IS fighters end up in mass graves

Dhuluiyah, Iraq: The Islamic State group once drew recruits from near and far with promises of paradise but now bodies of militants lie in mass graves or at the mercy of wild dogs as its "caliphate" collapses.

Flies buzz around human remains poking through the dusty earth in the Iraqi town of Dhuluiyah, 90 kilometres (55 miles) north of Baghdad, at a hastily dug pit containing the bodies of dozens of IS fighters killed in 2015.

"They should have ended up in the stomachs of stray dogs," local police officer Mohammed al-Juburi told AFP.

"We buried them here not out of love but because we wanted to avoid diseases."

At one stage, IS ruthlessly wielded power over a vast swathe of territory straddling Iraq and Syria, but a military onslaught on multiple fronts has seen its fiefdom shrink to a last few pockets.

Since the launch in 2014 of air strikes in Iraq and Syria against the group, a US-led coalition says around 80,000 militants have been killed.

The overall number of dead is higher if you include those targeted by Russian and Syrian strikes.

Buried with bulldozers

In agricultural Dhuluiyah on the banks of the Tigris river, residents faced a common dilemma over what to do with the corpses of IS fighters after local militiamen beat back the militants in fierce clashes.

"We could have thrown them into the water, but we love the river too much to pollute it," said the local policeman, who lost his own brother in the violence.

"The people here as well as their animals drink from the Tigris."

Local finally decided to dig a mass grave for the fighters -- but they said they refused to honour them with Islamic rites.

"We buried them with bulldozers. Even in the ground they are still mired in their own filth," said farmer Shalan al-Juburi.

"They said that they would go to paradise to enjoy the gardens of delights, but this is how they ended up."

The desolate site is in stark contrast to a nearby graveyard surrounded by a red-brick wall a few hundred metres (yards) away.

There the "martyrs" who died helping to stop the jihadist advance lie in well-tended tombs adorned with their portraits and shaded by trees.

Elsewhere, in western Iraq´s Anbar province, the luckiest among the IS dead appear to be those killed during its offensives against the army in 2015.

In the centre of Fallujah, the first major city captured by the group in 2014, hundreds of memorials in a makeshift cemetery bear the noms de guerre of foreign fighters buried by their comrades.

But as Iraqi forces in Anbar now look to oust the militants from their final footholds, operation commander Mahmoud al-Fellahi insisted any jihadists killed will end up in mass graves.

A similar fate befell IS members in the city of Mosul, the group´s largest urban stronghold in Iraq that it lost in July.

There, a senior Iraqi commander told AFP, authorities used earthmoving equipment "to bury the militants after we collected information on their identities and nationalities".

´Desert dogs are waiting´

Across the border in Syria -- where competing Russian and US-backed offensives are squeezing IS -- the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimates some 50,000 IS members have been killed.

As clashes rage with the jihadists, one Syrian commander said that what happens to dead fighters is not a priority.

"At the moment, we are more interested in what happens above the ground than under it," he told AFP.

Another military source said the identities of the fighters can provide useful intelligence.

"The terrorists try to collect their dead. If we find them, we try to identify the foreigners for a possible information swap with their home countries," the source said.

In the desert plains that the militants once dominated, the bodies of dead fighters are left abandoned, a pro-regime militia head told AFP.

"The desert dogs are waiting for them," he said. "When the fighting ends, the dogs come out from hiding to look for bodies."

A spokesman for the US-backed force close to ousting IS from the city of Raqa said the bodies of the group´s members were "generally buried" whenever possible.

"But sometimes due to snipers or because they are under rubble, some of the bodies end up rotting," said Syrian Defence Forces representative Mustefa Bali.

While the rank-and-file are often left forgotten, IS appears to have taken care to hide the final resting places of prominent Western militants.

"Figures who were well-known and wanted by the international community are buried at secret locations," said Syrian Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman.

Those include notorious British executioner Mohamed Emwazi, known as "Jihadi John", propaganda chief Abu Muhammad al-Adnani and military leader Omar al-Shishani.

There has been no record of bodies of foreign jihadists being repatriated, said Abdel Rahman.

" Little Singapore " Defies The "Mightly Saudis"

Singapore sentences Saudi diplomat to caning 'for molesting hotel intern'
A Saudi diplomat has been sentenced to a caning by a judge in Singapore for allegedly molesting a hotel intern. Bander Yahya A Alzahrani, who works for the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Beijing, faces four strokes of the stick after being found guilty of groping the 20-year-old woman in an en-suite bathroom.Caning is legal for sexual abuse, vandalism and rioting offenders, as well as for foreigners who have overstayed visas by more than 90 days.Hope that the Singapore Govt carries out the appropriate punishment if the evidence is found for the crime. Hope, check book diplomacy does not succeed
The same corporal punishment can be dished out for convicts in Mr Alzahrani’s native Saudi Arabia.According to the Straits Times, the court heard the father of three was on holiday with his family when he started kissing the intern on her neck and face in a Sentosa hotel on 14 August last year. These double standard lechers go whoring around the world and depend on their money to "show the middle finger " to the Law !
The 39-year-old was convicted of molesting her on two occasions, and during the second time, forcing her to touch him.
District Judge Lee Poh Choo reportedly found the victim, who denied her allegations were part of a false conspiracy to extort money, “unusually convincing”.He was also sentenced today to 26 months and one week in jail, but because he is appealing the conviction, has been released on a $S20,000 (£11,400) bail.
The Independent has contacted the Saudi embassy, in Singapore, for comment.
Probably with come out with a statement defending the Saudi !!!

Suicide bombing at mosque in Kabul kills at least 30

KABUL: A suicide bomber killed at least 30 people inside a Shi'ite mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul on Friday night, a security official said, the latest in a string of violent attacks on the country's Shi'ite minority.

The attack occurred at Imam Zaman mosque in the western Dasht-e-Barchi part of Kabul, as Shi'ite worshippers gathered for prayers.

A senior security official said the exact number of casualties was unknown but that security forces at the scene had removed at least 30 bodies.

Major General Alimast Momand says the attacker was on foot and walked into to the Imam Zaman Mosque today in the city's Dashti Barch area where he detonated his explosives.

The head of the area's Isteqlal Hospital, Mohammad Sabir Nassib, says it has received the bodies of two people slain in the attack as well as two wounded.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Afghanistan's Shi'ite population has been heavily hit this year, with at least 84 people killed and 194 wounded in attacks on their mosques and religious ceremonies, according to a United Nations report released last week.

Among those were at least two attacks on mosques in Kabul in August and September.

Previous post is not the only bombing of a place of significance on a day of significance to followers of Mohammadden belief by adherents of Mohammaddenism. This Mohammadden Sabbath of Friday, besides the bombing attack on the Zaman Mosque used by Shia Mohammaddens in Kabul also saw what looks like a tit for tat Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden bombing attack on a Sunni Mohammadden Mosque at Ghor province.

The combined death toll in twin Green on Green Intra-Mohammadden belief based sectarian slaughter is reported as 72:

The "Harvey Weinstein" Of Malsi Surfaces

Could this be the Harvey Weinstein of Islam?
Asra Nomani
Since 2012, a Muslim mother in France, Henda Ayari, kept secret the identity of a controversial Muslim academic she alleged seduced and then sexually assaulted her in a Holiday Inn hotel room in Paris, during an Islamic conference. She wrote about him in a memoir, J’ai choisi d’être libre (“I chose to be free”), chronicling the assault, in her escape from the extremist brand of Islam known as Salafism, and assigned her attacker the moniker, “Zoubeyr,” or “strong” in Arabic. Ayari also spoke exclusively to Women in the World in August but declined to identify the name of her attacker.
This week, however, with the #MeToo hashtag ricocheting around the globe, as women worldwide shared their experiences of sexual harassment and assault, Ayari found new courage. She penned a Facebook post on Friday to friends with the hashtag, #balancetonporc, or “squeal on your pig.” She is not the only one coming out of the "Islamic Closet" . The "heartthrob" of Pakistan, Imran Khan, also joins the list !
“#balancetonporc,” she wrote, “It is a very difficult decision but I too have decided it is time to denounce my attacker. It is Tariq Ramadan.” Ramadan is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, a movement of political Islam that, as illustrated by its name, separates, secludes, shrouds, and makes invisible women in a perverted notion that to do so “honors” and “protects” women. And Ramadan with strong financial support from the ultra-fundamentalist Qatari regime, is professor of Islamic Studies at Oxford University, despite scandals surrounding him, including his acceptance of female genital mutilation and the stoning of women. Professorships for sale to the highest bidder . Shame on Oxford!
The global Muslim community now has its Rose McGowan, the fierce American actress who has alleged rape against fallen Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. And now, if the allegations are true, the conservative Muslim world has its Harvey Weinstein — because Ayari’s alleged attacker is one of the most charismatic and powerful preachers of orthodox Islam.
In her book about “Zoubeyr,” Ayari wrote that one day she posted a photo on Facebook of herself in a black leather jacket, wearing makeup and enjoying her hair, uncovered, blowing in the wind. “Zoubeyr” wrote to her, she said, noting, “Posting such a photo is not good.” She was annoyed by the comment and replied, she said, and started to Skype with “Zoubeyr.” At one point, in a scene eerily similar to the modus operandi of disgraced Hollywood producer Weinstein, (being a fundamentalist, and therefore anti semitic, is he allowed to "practice" the same method as Weinstein ) she says, he suggested she meet him at his hotel.
“He gave me his hotel room number and told me to come in a taxi and be as discreet as possible. I was surprised but I had total confidence in him.”“I was standing, a little stiff, very intimidated,” she wrote. “Suddenly, he turned to me, hugged me, and kissed me passionately. I had initially stiffened in surprise, but I let myself very quickly…I was upset, this man had made me come, he was kissing me, it meant that, for him, also this moment was important. His warm voice whispered in my ear. I had the feeling of living a dream. ”Then, she wrote, “Alas, the dream turned into a nightmare.” Is "Oxford" aware of his "after office hours sexual antics".
“This man, Zoubeyr, transformed before my very eyes into a vile, vulgar, aggressive being – physically and verbally,” she wrote. “For modesty, I will not give the precise details here of the acts he made me submit to. But it is enough that he took great advantage of my weakness and the admiration I felt for him. ”“He allowed himself gestures, attitudes and words that I could never have imagined.” Is the "worthy scholar" married
In a similar pattern to the fog of confusion and numbness that Weinstein cast over the targets of his abuse, Ayari writes, “I loved and hated this man.”She notes, “I felt like a drug addict.”“I should have gone to complain,” she recognizes. “The kind and caring man that I idealized had abused my naivety and hurt me, physically and morally.”
Ayari also writes that, in another parallel to Weinstein, her attacker had “an impressive number of mistresses.” She notes, “Some of them also have reproached him for behaving in a bestial and degrading way,” adding, “It isn’t so great for an ethicist of Islam.” She returned home, she writes, “sick with shame.”

Imam-e- Kaaba: "Haram Food" Leaves Negative Effects On Human Body

ISLAMABAD – Imam-e-Kaaba Professor Dr Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Hemeid has called upon Muslim societies to devise a comprehensive strategy for the availability of Halal food while urging that unnecessary decrees in this regard shouldn’t be released as it’s a matter that pertains to authentic forums. Too many cooks spoil the broth
He was addressing at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in an international conference on “Halal Food: Principles, Shariah standards and contemporary issues.” Paki Mullahs have to defer to Imam-e-Kaaba on this "important matter", no ifs and buts hence the invite to the top honcho !
“Not only eating but issues of medicines and beverages are required to be addressed when it comes to Halal Food as Haram food leaves negative effects on human body,” Imam-e-Kaaba said. He needs to eloborate !. His Kingdom needs to practice what it preaches !
He maintained that business of Halal food is a great deed. Imam-e-Kaaba told that Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Fiqh Academy had arranged many conferences and sessions on Halal food and it had recommended guidelines  ( is not "fatwa" the requisite instrument for this. And what about the "guidelines and fatwas" from Qom. Should they be ignored ? Is there a Shia Halal Authority and a Sunni Halal Authority . Paki Shias needs to know !) in this regard.
Talking about Pak-Saudi relations, Imam-e-Kaaba said people of KSA love Pakistanis as there is no alternative to the intimacy that they have for two Holy Mosques and KSA . Nothing about the Pakis being deported in droves from Saudia
Rector IIUI Dr Masoom Yasinzai said that the success of the Halal food business in Pakistan was impossible without concerted efforts, strategies and measures to support the development of the Halal industry. He added that Pakistan had great potential for Halal food trade as 30 million people are associated with livestock. IIUI Rector added that by utilizing the grazing fields of Balochistan, ( trial balloon for leasing out Balochi Land to Saudis  ) the country could meet the requirements of Halal food of Muslim world which will also strengthen the Pakistani economy.

New surge in terror cases as Jihadis flood back to UK from Syria

Image
The Crown Prosecution Service’s head of counter-terrorism has warned of a surge in cases involving Islamist and far-Right extremists - Reuters

Prosecutors today announced a major drive to recruit terrorism lawyers, warning of a surge in cases involving Islamist and far-Right extremists.

Sue Hemming, the Crown Prosecution Service’s head of counter-terrorism, said her team had doubled in size to cope with “cases emerging from Syria” and the rise of Islamic State, as well as the recent attacks here. But she said even more lawyers were required.

In further remarks, Ms Hemming also delivered a veiled rebuff to the government’s terror watchdog, Max Hill QC.

He has said that it would be desirable if no specialist counter-terrorism laws were needed, with suspects prosecuted using the ordinary criminal law instead.

But Ms Hemming said: “We must recognise that specific counter terrorism powers are necessary, and acting early to safeguard public safety means that traditional investigative powers are not always sufficient.

Image
UK's terror czar says: DON'T jail hate preachers

"Prosecutors need offences available to prosecute those who rightly need to be brought to justice, where traditional criminal offences do not fit conduct that rightly calls for punishment.

“We use offences such as murder, conspiracy to murder, explosive substances or incitement to hatred, but in many cases conduct needs to be prosecuted using the wide range of terrorism offences available to us.

“These include acts preparatory to terrorism, attending terrorist training, support for a proscribed organisation and distribution of terrorist material.”

She added that even when “we charge using ordinary criminal offences, we do so as a ‘terrorist connection’” because that allowed judges to impose stronger sentences.

Ms Hemming’s most striking comments, however, were about the demands placed on prosecutors by the “substantial increase” in terrorism cases.

Terrorism-related arrests hit a record of 304 in the year to the end of March, up 18 per cent on the previous 12 months.

There had also been a 55 per cent increase in terrorism trials in the past year, with an 86 per cent conviction rate.

Speaking at the National Security Summit, Ms Hemming said: “Much of the increase has been from [Islamic State] or similarly inspired activity, but we have also seen an increase in extreme Right-wing activity.

“We have doubled the size of our team and we are still growing; we have a recruitment campaign for more prosecutors being launched shortly to help us deal with further increases.”

Ms Hemming also gave an insight into the scale of social media evidence being gathered to bring terrorists to justice. She said that “most, if not all, cases involve substantial amounts of digital material and this has been growing significantly over the last few years”.

She added: “The average terrorist case has around four terabytes of material — the more significant ones have over 10 terabytes and the biggest ones, well in excess of 20.

“To give you some concept of quantity, you would need about 125 empty iPads with no apps or content to store four terabytes of material.”

Her comments follow the disclosure by Met Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, the country’s top counter-terrorism officer, that police have used social media and other digital evidence to prepare prosecutions against many of the British terrorist fighters abroad.

Last week, Mr Hill suggested some returning Islamic State fighters should be reintegrated into society, rather than prosecuted, as they were “naive”.

Mr Rowley said it had so far not been possible to gather enough material to charge all returning fighters. Today, he told the summit greater co-operation was needed from tech firms, which should follow the example of banks.

He said: “The relationship with the social media sector is positive... but they are not always as enthusiastic about tipping us off when they spot somebody of concern. If we don’t tackle that then the ungoverned overseas — those parts of countries that are in a parlous state as we have seen in Syria and northern Iraq — those ungoverned locations can be connected to our communities through the online world.”

"UK Terror Czar says don't jail islamic hate preachers"

Amazing how stupid cretins rise to such positions -- this is the US democrat/hillary line that "right wing extremism is as much a threat as islamist terrorism". But it is happening to Briturds, so this is all quite OK. This will be accounted under the "karma payback" column.

Thanks, peregrineji, pakis in the UK are being dealt with very leniently, which of course only emboldens the pakis to new levels of pakiness. And this is how the sun set on the grand brishit empire. There are a lot of open protests in the UK about bringing in the Shariat along with the usual no-go areas where the islamists enforce shariat -- political correctness protects these areas from the enforcement of law and order and the rules laid down by their constitution. UK is not alone though -- same seems to be happening in Sweden and Danmark.

Brit who went to fight for ISIS wants to return home and face justice

A British jihadi who fled a family holiday in Turkey to join ISIS is now keen to return home and face justice.

Shabazz Suleman, a former grammar school pupil from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, disappeared three years ago.

The Turkish secret service traded him – willingly – to ISIS as part of a prisoner swap, but his jihadi career soon turned bad. He was imprisoned in Syria for going Awol and went into hiding following the fall of the caliphate’s capital, Raqqa. He is a DEVOUT MUSLIM but his statement is load of PORK PIES!

He has since escaped northern Syria and has told The Times in a series of encrypted messages that he is desperate to return to Britain.

Suleman, who had won a place at Keele University shortly before his doomed trip to Turkey, has admitted to undergoing basic weapons training and carrying out guard duties but denies killing anyone.

Now believed to be in the hands of Turkish militia, he describes himself as a “disillusioned jihadi”.

He said: “I never thought I was being brainwashed until I saw the way they treat other Sunnis.”

His father, Afzal Suleman, 46, told the paper that his son should be exempt from prosecution as “I know for a fact that he has become a civilian and he hasn’t been in the battlefield for at least two years and never killed anyone or anything.” Shahbazz Suleman wants to be the Ideal ISIS - Islamic Spy in the U.K.!

He added that “if he has committed a crime he should go to court. We just want him home.”

What happens next remains uncertain, though The Times reports that it is likely that Suleman will be handed to Turkish authorities, where he will be able to seek help from the British consulate.

Max Hill QC, Britain’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, believes it is right that Britain should reintegrate those who travelled “out of a sense of naivety, possibly with some brainwashing along the way”. No wonder the ISIS and other Islamic Terrorists consider the UK as a Terrorist Haven as well as a Terrorist Heaven

Rory Stewart MP, a foreign office minister, disagrees, saying “the only way of dealing with them will be, in almost every case, to kill them”.

Islamism & Islamophobia Abroad - News & Analysis (9-8-2014)

Kerala scholars hail Saudi move to scrutinize Hadiths

KOZHIKODE: Muslim scholars in Kerala have welcomed Saudi Arabia's initiative to set up a body of scholars to scrutinize Hadiths or Hadis (the accounts of Prophet Muhammad's sayings and actions reported by his followers) "to prevent them from being used to justify violence or terrorism".

Quoting the Saudi culture and information ministry, Reuters reported that King Salman has ordered the establishment of an authority (King Salman Complex) to scrutinize uses of Hadiths.

According to media reports, the body's aim would be to "eliminate fake and extremist texts and any texts that contradict the teachings of Islam and justify the committing of crimes, murders and terrorist acts". The King Salman Complex will become a "trusted source of the correct and authentic hadith", said the reports.

In Islam, Hadiths are revered as a major source of religious law and moral guidance, second only to Quran. Hadiths are classified as authentic (sahih) and weak (daif) considering various factors and the most authentic compilation is that of Imam Bukhari, who was born in 810.

"It is a welcome move to examine the Hadiths as there are allegations that some of them were manufactured with mischievous intention," said social activist and writer M N Karassery.

"Chekannur Moulavi vehemently questioned the authenticity of Hadiths saying that they are all fabricated. Quranists like Chekannur said that Quran should be the only accepted text in Islam. C N Ahammed Moulavi also had questioned the validity of Hadith though in moderate way. Rejection of Hadith was one of the reasons that led to Chekannur's murder," Karassery said adding that Hadiths are one among the sources of inspiration for fundamentalism, theocracy and extremism.

Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) state president T P Abdulla Koya Madani was cautious in his reaction to the development. "I have not come across the news about the Saudi government decision. But there is nothing wrong in examining them, especially in the context of terror outfits like the Islamic State misusing the religious concepts. The extremists are using the religious texts to justify their evil deeds," he said.

Madani said that the Salafis in Kerala have a well-structured and system in accepting or rejecting a Hadith. "We strictly follow the Usul al-Hadith (the science of Hadith) while accepting a Hadith," he said.

Abdul Salam Sullami, the scholar who is criticised for his tough attitude towards Hadith, said Hadiths should be revisited not just to ward off terrorism. "It is not enough to say that a particular Hadith is authentic only because it is there in Bukhari. You can find contradictory Hadiths in Bukhari. After all he is a human being who is prone to mistakes," said Sullami.

"The best way to accept a Hadith is to test it by empirical reasoning. Any text which says that fire is not hot can be summarily rejected," he said.

I cannot believe this happened in NYC . And look exactly where it happened. Right outside Stuyvesant High (the premier NYC school, for which you need to qualify through a JEE style example to get in) , right at the junction of Chambers street and West Street. That place is surrounded with schools & colleges and right close to the WTC and Wall St. As I look at the news and see the street names and stuff of this , this hits home, very close to like it happening in Cantonment area around St Josephs/ Cottons kind of places.

radical islam has understood that purchases of stuff like guns, fertilizer, chemicals are now deeply monitored in the west if not by intel than by the vendors and shops themselves and they will report any suspicious activity.

so they got this brilliant and evil idea of using what is readily available to all, not liable to any form of reporting and mobile - the automobile !!

either with personal cars or easily rented delivery trucks they have been creating mayhem in crowded areas incl the attack in nice france along the beach road that killed some 100 people. a chota mota hatchback car is 1 ton, a sedan is 1.3-1.5 tons and a 20 feet Uhaul type truck would be 3 tons surely. lot of momentum and tourist and commuter packed streets are everywhere.

the AOA shouting and jumping out with toy guns and fake suicide vests is a attempt to force police into a lethal shot and get the escalator to the 72, not via a lifelong jail term which the likes of Tsarnayev junior are serving. who wants to wait ?

since there is no minority report like thoughtcrime detector and thinking evil thoughts is not a crime, police cannot really act on these miscreants unless some good evidence of wrongdoing is obtained and there will be none, just walking out one morning to the car with lethal intent.

and some or most of these next gen munnas will be citizens of the west, born there and equipped with eagle and EU passports.

by rebadging and supporting these AQ and ISIS lite formations in places like libya, syria etc, the west has the provided the means and springpads for terror to be exported back home whether via r2west people or via the internet.

other than being relatively secular tyrants, what exactly did qadhafi, saddam and bashar al assad to for the west to unleash mayhem and fragment their country and society into 10 pieces ? when states are made to fail, we get what we see.

Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritania are boiling. So is part of Kenya. Yemen has been set of fire by the Saudi-UAE combine and bombed back to stone age.
ISIS is expanding in afpak at expenses of taliban.

From the CNN link posted in the above quoted post:
Witnesses reported the suspect was yelling "Allahu Akbar," according to four law enforcement sources.
The suspect was identified by two law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov. He's from Uzbekistan in Central Asia but had been living in the US since 2010, sources said.
Having sown the seed of Mohammadden Terrorism by injudiciously allowing immigration of Mohammaddens, the US inevitably though regrettably brings upon herself the whirlwind of Allahu Akbaring acts of Mohammadden Terrorism!

A more descriptive headline for this act of Mohammadden Terrorism reflecting the Allah Akbar nature of the same:

Using the Mohammadden belief based slogan of Allah Hu Akbar while carrying out violent attacks seems to be becoming quite commonplace and geographically widespread notwithstanding many politically prominent leaders of Mohammadden majority countries piously insisting that Mohammaddenism is the belief of Peace. Keeping divisive teachings out - Straits Times
Monday's ban on two foreign Islamic preachers, who wanted to enter Singapore to preach on a cruise ship, is the latest in the country's ongoing efforts to keep out religious teachings that run counter to its multicultural and multi-religious values.

Zimbabwean Ismail Menk has asserted that it is blasphemous for Muslims to wish non-Muslims "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Deepavali", while Malaysian Haslin Baharim is said to have advocated that in multicultural and multi-religious societies, non-Muslims should be made subservient to Muslims. Their ban comes less than two months after two foreign Christian preachers were similarly barred from entering the country to preach. Both had made denigrating and inflammatory comments about Muslims and Buddhists.

The Government has warned that such exclusivist and divisive teachings can create fault lines along racial and religious lines. Why is this so?

Singapore's model of multiracialism is based on every community being equal, as founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew put it in the first hours of Singapore's independence: "Everybody will have his place, equal: Language, culture, religion."

To ensure this model keeps working, all communities must be able to maintain their unique identity even as they interact with one another in common spaces. Deterring interactions via divisive teachings can only shrink such spaces. This can lead to communities drifting apart. For this reason, it is crucial for religious teachings to be aligned with Singapore's national values.

The fight against divisive religious teachings is not unique to Singapore. Johor has also stopped the two Islamic preachers from giving religious talks there.{But, Zakir Naik is given permanent residency}

Singapore is studying ways to better keep out foreign preachers whose leanings may disrupt religious harmony. But the best protection lies in educating people about the importance of practising their faiths in the context of Singapore's multiracial, multi-religious society.

Akshardham terror attack accused arrested in Ahmedabad

NEW DELHI: The Ahmedabad crime branch on Saturday arrested Ajmeri Abdul Rashid, a key accused in the sensational Akshardham temple terror attack case.

Ajmeri was in Riyadh and had allegedly been involved in the Akshardham terror attack conspiracy. He came to Ahmedabad in the early hours of Saturday and was immediately arrested by the Ahmedabad crime branch.

His brother Ajmeri Adam was acquitted after his conviction in a lower court was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2014.

On September 24, 2002, gunmen entered the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, using automatic weapons and hand grenades to kill 32 devotees in a fidayeen attack. Three commandos, including one from NSG, and a constable of the State Reserve Police (SRP) were also killed during the operation.

In May 2014, the Supreme Court acquitted all six convicts in the case, three of whom were awarded death sentence and one life imprisonment by a POTA court, which was later confirmed by the Gujarat high court in 2010.

The apex court had torn into the investigation agency for botching up the probe, stating that the evidence was not enough to uphold conviction of the accused.

Prosecution had claimed that accused had links with banned terrorist organization like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Some were also alleged to be linked to Pakistan intelligence agency ISI.

28 accused, allegedly from Pakistan and Gulf countries, are still absconding.

Mother-of-five who encouraged terrorism on Facebook is spared jail so she can 'get back to her children'
A mother-of-five who encouraged terror attacks on Facebook has been spared jail after a judge told her, "the sooner you get back to your children the better".

Farhana Ahmed, 40, from north-west London, had been in custody since being charged over the 2015 social media posts while her home-schooled children, aged between six and 16, were cared for by relatives.

Judge Christopher Moss QC sentenced her to a suspended term of two years after she pleaded guilty to encouraging terrorism and three counts of disseminating documents.

Ranaghat rape case: Prime convict sentenced to imprisonment till death

NEW DELHI: A Kolkata court on Wednesday condemned the Bangladeshi national convicted in the Ranaghat nun rape case to imprisonment till death and awarded 10 years in jail to five other accused.

The city sessions court had on Tuesday pronounced Nazrul Islam alias Noju guilty of raping a 71-year-old nun at a convent in Nadia's Ranaghat in March 2015.

"It was a shameful act," Judge Kumkum Sinha had said before pronouncing the verdict.

The court also convicted Islam for robbery and criminal conspiracy with four others and a sixth person was held guilty of harbouring them.

In the early hours of March 14, 2015, the six accused had forced their way into the missionary school in Ranaghat, more than 80 km from Kolkata. They then climbed to the building's first floor and took whatever valuables they could find. Islam locked the 71-year-old nun in a room and then raped her when she tried to resist the looting.

The nun had needed surgery after the brutal attack, which had sparked an outpouring of anger at persistent high levels of sexual assault in the country.

Despite lack of mosques, France to stop Muslims from praying in the streets

After fighting between Muslim worshipers and French authorities in a Paris suburb, the interior ministry said the government would stop them from praying on the streets in the city.

The residents of the multi-ethnic town of Clichy-la-Garenne have been protesting street prayers, contributing to rising tensions in the area.

According to reports, the local mosque in the area has been turned into a library, and Muslims have been praying on the streets since March in protest against the closure of their place of worship.

The dispute has highlighted the shortage of mosques in France and Muslims have complained to the authorities that they do not offer suitable land for the building of Islamic centres.

“They will not have prayers on the street, we will prevent street praying,” Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told Questions Politics.

Yet, he acknowledged the need for more mosques, saying: “Muslims must have a place to pray”. He promised to resolve the conflict in the coming weeks.

Earlier this month, right-wing French leader Remi Muzeau led a protest of around 100 individuals against street prayers in the country.

The two warring groups faced off on the roads, with the Muslims chanting ‘God is great’ and the protesters singing the French national anthem.

Muslims were able to continue their prayers after law enforcement personnel equipped with shields separated the two groups.

France strictly regulates religious expression, and building new places of worship for the 5 million Muslims is a controversial issue for the secular country.

Decrying the lack of mosques, Muslims in a number of French towns have started praying on the streets, sparking a fierce anti-Islam backlash from France’s Front National (FN).

FN leader Marine Le Pen has previously compared the image of Muslims praying in the streets to the Nazi occupation of the country during the Second World War.

Attack on mosque in Egypt's Sinai kills at least 184: State media

CAIRO: Gunmen attacked a packed mosque in Egypt's restive North Sinai province on Friday and set off a bomb, killing at least 184 people in one of the country's deadliest attacks in recent memory, state media reported.

A bomb explosion ripped through the Rawda mosque roughly 40 kilometres west of the North Sinai capital of El-Arish before gunmen opened fire on the worshippers gathered for weekly Friday prayers, officials said.

The official Al-Ahram newspaper reported on its website that at least 184 people were killed and 125 wounded in the attack, which is unprecedented in a four-year insurgency by Islamist extremist groups.

The Islamic State group's Egypt branch has killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers, and also civilians accused of working with the authorities, in attacks in the north of the Sinai peninsula.

They have also targeted followers of the mystical Sufi branch of Sunni Islam as well as Christians.

The victims included civilians and conscripts praying at the mosque.

A tribal leader and head of a Bedouin militia that fights IS told AFP that the mosque is known as a place of gathering for Sufis.

The Islamic State group shares the puritan Salafi view of Sufis as heretics for seeking the intercession of saints.

The jihadists had previously kidnapped and beheaded an elderly Sufi leader, accusing him of practising magic which Islam forbids, and abducted Sufi practitioners later released after "repenting."

The group has killed more than 100 Christians in church bombings and shootings in Sinai and other parts of Egypt, forcing many to flee the peninsula.

The military has struggled to quell the jihadists who pledged allegiance to IS in November 2014.

IS regularly conducts attacks against soldiers and policemen in the peninsula bordering Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip, although the frequency and scale of such attacks has diminished over the past year.

They have since increasingly turned to civilian targets, attacking not only Christians and Sufis but also Bedouin Sinai inhabitants accused of working with the army.

Aside from IS, Egypt also faces a threat from al-Qaida-aligned jihadists who operate out of neighbouring Libya.
A group calling itself Ansar al-Islam -- Supporters of Islam in Arabic -- claimed an October ambush in Egypt's Western Desert that killed at least 16 policemen.

Many of those killed belonged to the interior ministry's secretive National Security Service.

The military later conducted air strikes on the attackers, killing their leader Emad al-Din Abdel Hamid, a most wanted jihadist who was a military officer before joining an al-Qaida-affiliated group in Libya's militant stronghold of Derna.
