OIC 2005 resolution
http://www.oic-oci.org/ex-summit/englis ... s-plan.htm
VII. Combating Islamophobia

1. Emphasize the responsibility of the international community, including all governments, to ensure respect for all religions and combat their defamation.

2. Affirm the need to counter Islamophobia, through the establishment of an observatory at the OIC General Secretariat to monitor all forms of Islamophobia, issue an annual report thereon, and ensure cooperation with the relevant Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in order to counter Islamophobia.

3. Endeavor to have the United Nations adopt an international resolution to counter Islamophobia, and call upon all States to enact laws to counter it, including deterrent punishments.

4. Initiate a structured and sustained dialogue in order to project the true values of Islam and empower Muslim countries to help in the war against extremism and terrorism.

Trump's an ahole, but the "Muslim registry " thing is a bait. His generic answer to many question is "absolutely. We have to look into that" - that gives him both the outrage and the wiggle room. He never actually used his own words to say " I want to register all Muslims ".

Tavleen Singh debunks two of the false theories floating around that are designed to provide a burqua for Mohammaddenism Terror to hide behind:

Since the Paris attacks, two lies have been repeated ad nauseam in prime time chat shows and in the editorials of our newspapers. The first is that this jihad has nothing to do with Islam. And the second is that all religions are the same and can all be misinterpreted by bad people. ……………………..

The truth is that jihadi terrorism has everything to do with Islam for those who think of the time of the Prophet as a blessed time that Muslims must return to. In that time there were wars in which the Prophet fought, so he put into the Koran verses that instruct his followers to deal in many nasty ways with those who refuse to believe in his message. It is in strict adherence to these instructions that the Islamic State (IS) commits its hideous crimes against countries it believes are filled with sinners and us idol-worshippers. ………………………

The second lie that has been repeated often in the past week is that every religion has the same message. Not true. No Indic religion orders believers to treat non-believers as heathens or ‘kafirs’. There is not a single Indic religion that believes that it alone has all the answers and that those who do not accept this should be treated as scum. Islam not only believes that those who do not accept Islam are ‘kafirs’, it also believes that it is Allah’s wish that non-Islamic lands be treated as battlefields on which holy wars must be fought. ……………………………

Reason why ISIS has been in good health - "Oil"
http://ibloga.blogspot.in/2015/11/why-n ... ields.html
Excerpts :
..."Mark Toner, State Department spokesman, said on Monday at a press briefing that US officials have also urged their Russian counterparts to talk with Assad's government about no longer purchasing oil from the Islamic State."

...So if Assad and Russia really wanted to destroy ISIS, you would do what Trump is saying: You would bomb their oil fields. Their oil fields are their number one source of funding...

...So if Assad and Russia really wanted to destroy ISIS, and if we really wanted to join them in destroying ISIS, we would first tell Assad, "You stop buying oil from them," and then we would join forces and take those oil fields out, and they'd be out of money. But that's not happening. Syria is buying oil from ISIS. Bashar Assad is thus funding ISIS. Now, this also explains why the US hasn't blown up those refineries and oil fields that ISIS now controls, because we don't want to tick off Russia and Iran.

A novice question about bombing oil fields; doesn't it destroy the field completely? All oil burnt off?
Is that why Russians and US have avoided bombing the fields? Or is there a more sinister reason?

Regards,
Virendra

Saudi funding fans ultra-conservative Islam in India; the political, ideological response to it remains meek
For years, the growing following and influence of ultra-conservative Islamist ideology in parts of Europe including Belgium, France and even Scandinavian countries has been talked and written about. Sometimes attacks on small scale were ignored as petty crimes or for reasons of political correctness, these were pushed under the carpet as Europe tried hard to project its image as a multi-cultural and multi-religious project where people of all faiths were free to follow and propagate their religious beliefs.

Until the 7 July, 2005 London attacks, Britain loved to show its openness to ideas and people even if they as UK residents preached hatred and opposition to Westminster style of democracy. A radical Egyptian cleric Abu Hamza was treated virtually as a state guest as he preached radical doctrine to Muslims in London and UK. Many in India will remember the freedom given to Khalistani Sikh organisations and Tamil Tigers by British authorities. Radical groups were allowed to spread hatred in the name of freedom and free speech.

Chickens are coming home to roost now
Flirtation with Saudi Arabia saw the rise of fancy mosques across the continent where many clerics preached a return to “pure Islamic ideals” as espoused in the Quran. Puritanical Wahabi ideology was and continues to be propagated from many of these mosques across the world, where clerics are not only sowing seeds of hatred against liberal democracies but also against Shia Muslims.

The last few years witnessed Salafis grow and spread with great speed across the globe as well. ...

India has also over the years seen more and more Muslims, particularly the younger population, get attracted to preachings of ultra-conservative clerics. This is not to say that they are supporters of radical groups like the Islamic State and Taliban. But, the change in the complexion of discourse within sections of Muslim population, their responses and growing assertion of some people that there is need to abandon centuries old brand of South Asian Islam are a natural consequence of years of government indifference, some complicity and failure to recognise what/how Saudi money was actually contributing to a change in the way many Muslims think.
A few months ago Oman flagged concern about growing radicalisation of thousands of Muslim workers from India in the Gulf country.

Not to mention the recent outrage created by their Diplomatic Staff in New Delhi!
In the last few years Salafis have managed to take root in large parts of the country including Benguluru which boasts of 42-odd Salafi mosques that preach ideas that are repugnant to centuries-old Islamic traditions in India. That it was not easy to set up Salafi mosques due to opposition from existing Islamic groups in Bengaluru is well acknowledged by the Salafi trust on its official website. “There were physical fights, social boycott, warnings and torture for the above members for bringing the Salafi methodology in their locality” before they managed to build Salafi mosques, states its official website.
Initial opposition later dissolved and they managed to expand their influence in the city and among its young population,

Saudi Money Diplomacy at work here!
I recall meeting a young Muslim in Benguluru some years ago who was forthright in his criticism of his mother and sister’s “un-Islamic” acts of visiting Sufi shrines and praying at mazars of saints. He also minced no words to state his opposition to Shias terming them as non-Muslims. This young educated man was a regular at a Salafi mosque in Koramangala area, home to wealthy people such as Infosys and Wipro chiefs.

The Saudis have been successful in radicalizing the young Muslims in Pakistan; the results are there for all to see :x
In eastern Uttar Pradesh, Saudi Riyals were donated to establish a madrasa building and a vocational centre for girls in Mirzapur and Siddharth Nagar. Schools and colleges with Arabic names prominently stick out across western UP today. Attempts to also link Muslim identity with Saudi Arabia, reminiscent of what happened in Pakistan, need to be addressed politically and ideologically.

Q. Why does american official media keep defending Islamism and Islam from any & every barb thrown at it by american citizens. Why do they feel so compelled to do so ?

Ans: Islam is the tool they have selected to destabilize and radicalize the non-western world. They want to keep up appearances 'in-house' so that their alliance with Islam is not questioned or ridiculed by Islamist footsoldiers in future

^^its not just the US... Everyone, including Muslim states, uses Islam as a tool for tactical and strategic destabilization. There aren't many better, useful or reliable tools around.

Actually, instrument may be a better word than tool in this context.

Mistake.It should have been..
In eastern Uttar Pradesh, Saudi Dollars were donated to establish a madrasa....

Saudi money should always be referred to as Saudi Dollars to symbolize the cozy relationship in bed between Massa & SaudiA.

"Radical Islamism (especially the salafist variant) is spread by American dollars routed through SaudiA or simply put :Through Saudi Dollars"

The major benefit of social media savy groups like ISIS for the Americans is that they are gathering huge amounts of data online.Any person who even upvotes a proISIS comment will be remembered for the rest of their life. That will be the first level of screening during visa process for entry into United States and its Western allies. Moreover Google search,Youtube,Twitter,Facebook,Skype etc are US companies with their database servers located in US.All in all better chance of identifying & monitoring all the potential lonewolves like Boston bombers,Shoe bombers,Times square bombers,Fort hood shooters etc.
Obviously this data won't be shared with competitors to Western Hegemony like Russia,China or India.
India should take a leaf out of this American system of global monitoring & apply it at least regionally to Saarc region for starters.

Family of Muslim teen seeks $15m in clock incident
IRVING: Attorneys for a 14-year-old Muslim boy arrested after the homemade clock he took to his Dallas-area school was mistaken for a possible bomb said Monday he was publicly mistreated and deserves $15 million.
A law firm representing Ahmed Mohamed sent letters Monday demanding $10 million from the city of Irving and $5 million from the Irving Independent School District.
The letters also threaten lawsuits and seek written apologies.
From the safe haven of (Salafist) Emirate of Qatar.
As indicated in the letters, the long term effects on Ahmed are incalculable. “ Meribeth Sloan, a spokeswoman for Irving said the city is reviewing its letter and has no comment.
The district didn't immediately return a message Monday.
The family accepted a foundation's offer to pay for Ahmed's education in Qatar and moved to the Persian Gulf country.
Education in Qatar probably includes doses and doses of Mailsi theology in Arabic !
Hollingsworth said Ahmed and his younger siblings have found schools in Qatar, but his older sisters, who are 17 and 18, have not.
Ahmed is very gratified by all of the support that he has received, but just like his siblings and his parents, he misses Texas. It is his home,” Hollingsworth said.
So there is an adjustment and /or alienation "problem", in "luxurious Qatar" ( no hot dogs!) but the door is still being kept open for possible re-migration; the US administration should make it difficult for them to "return to the Land Of The Free"

This is a long but a detailed video from the Syrian conflict made by the Russia 24 crew. Subtitles and voice overs in English, so easy to understand.

The role of support agencies, use of Islam by foreign states to foment trouble and the damage it can do to a society are all on show. The video has moments of Blood and Gore so use discretion. If you do watch it, it is good to watch till the end.

Use of words like "Free Syrian Army" to identify a bunch of terrorists is very straight forward way to confuse trusting people. There is nothing Free about Islam inspired violence when used in terms of Freedom or Rights of a human.

The arming up is to save their own. In Nagaland or Jammu the 'militants' didn't target majority but only minority.

The legislation, passed by the cantonal parliament of the Italian-speaking Swiss region on Monday, states that those found wearing the garments will be forced to pay a penalty ranging from 100 francs (US$98) to 10,000 francs ($9,787).

Saudi Arabia, an ISIS That Has Made It

By KAMEL DAOUDNOV. 20, 2015

Black Daesh, white Daesh. The former slits throats, kills, stones, cuts off hands, destroys humanity’s common heritage and despises archaeology, women and non-Muslims. The latter is better dressed and neater but does the same things. The Islamic State; Saudi Arabia. In its struggle against terrorism, the West wages war on one, but shakes hands with the other. This is a mechanism of denial, and denial has a price: preserving the famous strategic alliance with Saudi Arabia at the risk of forgetting that the kingdom also relies on an alliance with a religious clergy that produces, legitimizes, spreads, preaches and defends Wahhabism, the ultra-puritanical form of Islam that Daesh feeds on.

Facebook Censors Pak-Origin Activist Tarek Fateh
Three weeks ago, just as I flew to India to speak at the “India Ideas Conclave” in Goa about international jihadi terrorism, I received a warning message from Facebook.
The social media conglomerate said I could no longer post any messages on my timeline addressed to my 80,000 friends and followers worldwide.
They said, I had violated Facebook’s “community standards”.
My offence? I had shared a video that implicated Islamic State (ISIS) in committing war crimes against enemy prisoners of war.
As much as I was shocked to learn of Facebook’s decision, the irony was I found the video on Facebook.

discovered that Facebook’s security was apparently being handled out of an office in Hyderabad, India, home to some of that country's leading and most vocal Islamists.
In the meantime, some of my followers, none of whom I know personally, set up a group on Facebook demanding “Bring Back Tarek Fatah”, with no response.

There is something wrong with Facebook’s “community standards” if terrorists can communicate freely, but a Muslim fighting Islamism and jihadi terrorism cannot.
(Editor’s note: A Facebook spokesperson told Postmedia Tuesday that after reviewing Fatah’s complaint, it agrees it made a mistake in its original decision to remove his ability to post on Facebook and he will now be able to set up a new account.) :D

france seems to be in a witch hunt against muslims in a very targeted way:
https://www.rt.com/news/323811-paris-ai ... alization/

Since the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris in January, nearly 60 people suspected of radicalism have reportedly lost their authorization to work at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport. At least five people have been fired following the deadly mid-November attacks.
“Since the beginning of the year, there are 57 people who lost their authorization because of radicalization. There have been five since the attacks [November 13],” the prefect of Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) and Le Bourget airports, Philippe Riffaut, told a press conference.

At the same time, as authorities seek to revise personal authorizations in workplaces which require extra security, Riffault warned that more suspensions “will come.”

To work in areas that require heightened security clearances, the employee must go through security screening scrutiny and receive a green light from the state, including intelligence agencies.

“The 86,000 work permits in the security area will be reviewed,” said Riffault, starting with “5,000 airport security personnel.”

The probe into employees will focus on what people have been up to “since they got their authorization” by cross-checking their records with domestic intelligence agencies. The new parameter for cross-referencing will include “the appreciation of radicalization” as “a factor which poses a problem in terms of security and safety.”

Prominent Sunni Mohammadden Cleric of Kerala, Kanthapuram Aboobacker Musliyar says “Gender equality is against Islam, society and human kindness”.

Excerpt:

Prominent Sunni Muslim leader Kanthapuram Aboobacker Musliyar on Saturday said gender equality was against Islam and culture.

Addressing a Sunni students’ camp in Kozhikode, the orthodox Sunni leader said that gender equality is impractical.

“Where man-woman equality has taken place. It is not going to happen. Gender equality is against Islam, society and human kindness,” he said.
