Pani, Bijli aur Petrol ka Bohraan

Khali Jihaad hai zindabaad

Point to be noted.
Pak fauj must be very happy at this problem that the mango civilian is facing.
Hmmm, maybe another round of Go Nawaz Go is about to be launched, a revolution is brewing in Al Bakistan.

How many people suspect that the fauj is somehow involved in this Petrol ka Bohraan hain ji?

Doubts over ban on JuD in Pakistan - Suhasini Haider, The Hindu
Pakistan says it has followed the U.N.’s ban of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and that the accounts of all such banned groups have been frozen, but has not confirmed if the government has issued a new ban on the JuD and its chief, Hafiz Saeed.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said, “JuD and some other organisations are listed by the United Nations… we are required to freeze their assets and enforce travel curbs. We take that action.”

Mr. Aslam refused to comment on what recent actions had been taken against terror groups, but denied that any action was being taken under U.S. pressure after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Pakistan.

Indian officials said neither the government nor the Indian High Commission in Islamabad had received any word on any action being taken against Saeed and the JuD so far. “A ban on paper doesn’t mean much in any case,” one official told The Hindu . “It will be more important to see if they will be able to continue their public activities or not.”

Ms. Aslam’s comments come when all eyes are on protests against the French magazine Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons of Prophet Mohammad planned by the JuD across Pakistan on Friday and a “million march” rally called by Saeed in Karachi for Sunday, to see if the Pakistan government is planning a crackdown on the group.

Both the JuD and Saeed were banned by the U.N. under Resolution 1267 as an Al-Qaeda-affiliated group in 2008. In 2008 and 2010, Pakistan banned the JuD, but no restrictions seem evident on the activities of the group or its chief.

However, just last week, Saeed gave an interview attacking India on the television channel Aaj News. The websites and the twitter accounts of the JuD and its offshoot, Falah insaniyat Foundation, are still functional.

In the interview given on January 15, Saeed accused India of spreading “propaganda against him” and backed Kashmiri militant “mujahids” operating inside Jammu and Kashmir. He also accused “Indian consulates in Afghanistan” of backing the TTP that carried out the Peshawar school massacre.

The inflammatory comments are significant given that they come days before U.S. President Barack Obama’s visit to India at a time both Indian and U.S. officials are tracking a heightened terror alert.

Good observation sir. I noticed the shotgun belt as well.

Now look at the barrel of the so-called AK (perhaps we should call this the "Abdul Khalaas-i-kuf"). Notice that it is somewhat thicker than usual. There is also what appears to be a ramrod under the barrel. Also notice that this firearm appears to have a double trigger. I think we have here is a made-in-Darra shotgun in the shape of an AK :D.

On second thought, I think the gun and belt might be photoshopped on to the image. I don't see a sling, so how is the gun hanging from his shoulder. The cloth folds on his suit jacket shouldn't be that way, if there is a gun in between the folds. Also, the shotgun belt looks like it could slide off at any moment. He should be wearing it crosswise to keep it on.

The gun is real domestic produce, the weight on the shoulder seems to indicate it is being carried. Photoshoppery in xeroxland is unlikely to bother with such minor djinn physics. Yes, it fires big shells; small bullets are wimmen and childrens.

A physics teacher needs to carry at least a SMG, or an acceptable substitute. This is acceptable. If banks can be protected with shotguns, blackboards too are secure.

I am surprised people are expressing so little support for nanha mujahids. If every teacher was armed, Obama would have been cheef guest in rawalpindi instead of delhi. The IMF and world bank need to provide some development grants to speed up matters.

Also, arguments over who gets to xerox what get a lot more ibteresting if the shoulder is weighed down a bit.

Safe havens within Pak not acceptable, 26/11 attackers must face justice: Obama - ToI

By safe havens, the US refers to the shelter of Haqqanis and other Afghan Taliban. The US is not saying 'terrorism' is not acceptable. This distinction must be understood.

This time, it's pretty specific: "....safe havens within Pakistan are not acceptable and that those behind the Mumbai terrorist attack must face justice.

The gun is very likely local.

The inspiration :!: is likely to be a crude version of the Saiga-12 automatic shotgun

Two Pakistani think-tanks ranked in global top 20 - Dawn

Great News !

ISLAMABAD: Among 211 South Asian think-tanks included in the ‘2014 Global Go-to Think-Tank Index’, only two — the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Pakistan Institute of International Affairs, have made it to the top 20.{Only two made it to the top 20? Then who are the other 18?}

The index was released at the University of Pennsylvania under The Think-Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) on Thursday and included 6681 think-tanks from around the world.

192 think-tanks from India and 19 from Pakistan were included in the index however, among these 211 only two Pakistani think-tanks had the distinction of being in the top 20. Pakistan Institute of International Affairs was at 16 while SDPI was at number 19.

SDPI was ranked at 38 for being trans-disciplinary and 55 in the list of think-tanks to be watched in the future for policy reviews.

The index was launched globally and SDPI was part of the launch along with over 60 other think-tanks, inter-governmental organizations and media outlets in more than 55 cities around the world.

SDPI organised a roundtable conference to mark the occasion, attended by academicians from public and private universities, development practitioners and senior executives from the corporate sector.

Speaking at the roundtable conference, former ambassador and SDPI Board of Governors Chairman Shafqat Kakakhel attributed the SDPI’s high ranking to its independent and credible research.

He said that think-tanks play a primary role in the socio-economic development of a country by producing knowledge for decision-makers.

Mr Kakakhel said that in terms of quality of publication and policy influence among all the South Asian think-tanks only SDPIs study “Food Security in Pakistan: Policy Options” authored by Shakeel Ramay was ranked high at 30 globally.

Mr Ramay
, also speaking at the roundtable, highlighted the importance of the methodology adopted in his study which made it a piece of quality research.

Participants at the roundtable were also informed that SDPI was the only think-tank among the 19 considered from Pakistan which was judged to be contributing towards developing the skills of young researchers.

It was highlighted that even universities in Pakistan are failing to realise the role of young researchers and there is need to improve linkages between think-tanks and universities for the larger interest of policy making.

Marvi Sirmed from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP){When did she join the UNDP? After the attempted assassination? Is that why she stopped writing?} said greater collaboration between parliamentarians and academic institutes can contribute towards the development of a mechanism for policy research.

But, why aren't Pakistanis rejoicing at their other feat? That is 8 of their terror tanzeems are in the top 10 ?

Was going to say Baki gun barrels are like their orifices, they can take in the biggest "cartridges" (with a little bit of vajeline), but this works too.

Pliss confirm my eye site learned maulaners: Does the board say "What is Atomic Mars"?

If yes, then I know the answer: Atomic Mars is that Mars which has the wahid atomee bum from the khitta planted on it by djinn technology by sending rocket of vater based teknowlojee. It ij green in colour and as per UN resolution belongs to al Bakistan while the evil baniyaas from the east send conventional rawkits in the movie Gravity. I love Atomic Mars very much.

Musharraf seeks permission to offer condolences – in Saudi Arabia :rotfl:

Former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf requested the government on Friday to allow him to visit Saudi Arabia to offer condolences to the Saudi royal family over King Shah Abdullah’s death.

In his plea, the former military ruler said he had maintained good relations with Abdullah, and the king’s demise had "saddened" him.

JuD will continue to operate in Pakistan: Spokesperson

As the Foreign Office said Thursday that the bank accounts of Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) have been frozen and foreign travel restrictions imposed on the organisation's leader Hafiz Saeed, JuD in its official response said it would continue its "charity work" across Pakistan regardless.

The official reaction emailed out by JuD accused Pakistan of having banned the organisation under pressure from the US to "please India".

The JuD spokesperson defended the group, saying the Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court had issued verdicts in favour of allowing JuD to operate in the past. Based on these verdicts, JuD vowed to continue on its mission.

Earlier, JuD members told Dawn.com that the party leadership would approach the Supreme Court to challenge the ban. A JuD member, who requested anonymity, maintained that the group has only been engaged in charitable work for the past several years across the country.

This is child abuse and neglect. The right thing to do is to arm each kid with an AK-47 and 4 magazines of ammo and teach them how to shoot at a moving target. THis will also help them to be good citizens of future Bakistan.

He is carrying ammo for a shot gun and a AK-47, some how everyone in bakistan looks like they just fell from a monthy python film.

So next time a freedom fighter enters a school with AK47 to kill people, students might think he is their new Physics teacher instead of running for cover.
