China opens its largest overseas embassy in Islamabad - PTI, The Hindu

China has opened a new embassy in Pakistan, its “largest overseas” diplomatic mission, which Foreign Minister Wang Yi described as a symbol of friendship between the “all weather” allies.

“As China’s largest overseas embassy, it is a symbol of friendship between China and Pakistan,” state-run China Daily quoted Mr. Wang as saying.
It however did not provide the details of the new embassy. An opening ceremony was held on February 13, during Mr. Wang’s visit to Islamabad.

SSridhar Ji :

There are a few realities :

1. The United States will never stop giving Oodles of Billions of US Dollars and Pakistan will always undermine the US. Why the US is going through this charade I know not.

2. The Indian Business Houses have already been cheated, short changed plus have had to pay for mythical Damages to the Indian Goods Exported to Pakistan. But still the IBH keep on begging to be able to trade with Pakistan.

3. Neither will Pakistan give India any thing "LIKE" MFN status by whatever name is being touted around.

My only solution is to stop all trade with Pakistan, Close Borders, No. Visas to Pakistanis except to Ajmer for Pilgrimage. No Medical Treatment, No Educational Scholarships to the Pakis, Send back alls the Singers, Actors etc.

This should remain in Force until Five Years of Pakistan meeting Indian needs.

Remember if Pakistan can Cheat the USA as well as the Chinese then there is no hope of Pakistan not repeating their Act – similar to what they have done with the USA and China - with India.

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan - 1 Feb 2015

Post by Peregrine »

Census delay
THIS week a year has passed since the Council of Common Interests debated the census as part of its agenda item, yet the demographic exercise is no closer to being held today than it was last year.
Consider the important issues that are built around the availability of census data: the NFC award, delimitation of electoral constituencies, seat shares in parliament, local bodies polls, targeted subsidies, and all other policy matters that rest on population data.
The Sindhi, Mohajir and Pakhtun populations can shift the internal balance of the province, while the influx of people into Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur over the years can alter the share of the province in the total population of the country.

Parties that seek their electoral fortunes in Punjab are reluctant to confront the real picture of what the new population shares of the respective provinces are, since this could affect NFC allocations as well as deal a psychological blow if Punjab’s share of the total population were to dip below 50pc.

Sindh is already reeling from a complex ethnic-based power struggle and any new numbers on the ethnic make-up would upset an uneasy status quo.

Pakistan starts lobbying to join Nuclear Group
Kauwa Chall Haans Ki Chaal: Bhookha, Nanga , Pyasa Bikhari Owrr Chittars Maar Se Laal.
The sources said that it has been decided at the highest level to establish contacts with all the 49 members of the Nuclear Group, to seek their support to join the club. According to the sources, consultations will also be made with friend countries, before taking any decision to sign the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty. The sources said that during his recent telephonic conversation with US President Barrak Obama, Prime Minister Nawaz Shari also expressed his desire to join the nuclear club. After joining the club, Pakistan will have to take stringent measures to stop nuclear proliferation.Pakistan and India, if succeed in getting membership of the nuclear club, they will be accepted as nuclear powers and they will be in a position to import uranium for peaceful and civilian nuclear purposes. The uranium could also be utilized to produce energy and medical purposes.

Curiously the NYT has an article on this very subject of maltweets.:

"As she made the long journey from New York to South Africa, to visit family during the holidays in 2013, Justine Sacco, 30 years old and the senior director of corporate communications at IAC, began tweeting acerbic little jokes about the indignities of travel. There was one about a fellow passenger on the flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport:

“ ‘Weird German Dude: You’re in First Class. It’s 2014. Get some deodorant.’ — Inner monologue as I inhale BO. Thank God for pharmaceuticals.”

Then, during her layover at Heathrow:

“Chilly — cucumber sandwiches — bad teeth. Back in London!”

And on Dec. 20, before the final leg of her trip to Cape Town:

“Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just kidding. I’m white!”

This is really quite tiresome. Let us assume Pakistanis are indeed the most beautiful race on the planet, what exactly does that imply?

I have seen exceptionally ugly Pakistanis, who could only have got that way through centuries of inbreeding and absolutely flawlessly facially proportioned dark sinned "Dravidians" (those whom Pakis love to excoriate. There is too much racial inhomogeneity in Indians as well as Pakis to make any absolutist statement. Of course beauty in the Indian subcontinent is inextricably linked to skin tone, thus the tribal beauty is neither seen nor thinks of herself as beautiful.

Anyhow, beauty is the twin of wealth, more so money and technology confer a status of legendary beauty on even the most homely personage. Indians are conditioned to regard the pale European as beautiful and the oriental as ugly. The case may well be the obverse.

Of course 95% of any race is plainly plain (ugly), here we concern ourselves with the remainder.

Paki Have High Opinion of Thier Universal Lahori Fragrance" Yonibhrashts Threaten Doing UniBhrasht

Threat to the UN’s universality
My former Foreign Service colleague, Khaled Ahmed, who now writes a weekly column in an Indian newspaper, wrote mockingly about two weeks ago that some Pakistani “clerics” had recommended that Pakistan should leave the UN if India joins the Security Council as a permanent member. Whichever Pakistani ‘cleric’ made this suggestion was certainly more diplomatically savvy than our government, which seems to think that Pakistan can block India’s path to the Security Council by complaining about India’s refusal to implement Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. The Nawaz government still does not know that justice and equity count for very little in diplomacy. Nations are guided not by the rights and wrongs of a dispute but by what serves their interests. The next time Nawaz speaks to Obama, he should also tell the US president that if India – or for that matter any other country – was ever to become a permanent member of the Security Council, some member states of the UN would seriously consider leaving the world body. A loss of universality of membership would diminish the utility of the UN as a tool of US policy and would be given much more importance than Pakistani complaints on India’s defiance of Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.

I know this is a thread on TSP, and not J&K, but mark my words, the following is not a demand by PDP, its a direct demand by TSP through its PDP proxies to create another "UN resolution type hara kiri. Hope ModiJi does not fall for it. At the end of the day, its better BJP sit in the opposition than bend down in front of the PDP traitors.

http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/jammu-an ... ces-739963

The roadblock, the sources said, is a written assurance that the PDP wants stating that the present constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir will be maintained.

Pak-India talks
Pakistan Hold The Key To Milky Way Galaxy Peace & Prosperity
Asia’s importance has been growing through centuries and the region has been home to the greatest civilizations and empires of all time. As the United States and western powers look towards the east, it is important for the Asian continent to realise its strength and identify the political trajectory through a show of independent stances in global politics. The key to this approach lies in a peaceful South Asia. To realize this objective, Pakistan wants meaningful and result-oriented dialogue with India for resolution of all outstanding issues. And such dialogue with India must include the Kashmir issue, otherwise it would be futile. There are reports that US President Barack Obama, during his recent visit to India, tried to persuade India to resume dialogue with Pakistan. Reportedly, India initially resisted such persuasions, but later agreed to do so. However, negative propaganda about the Line of Control is indicative of Indian intransigence; by doing so, it wants to keep a handle on the negotiations, and retain essential leverage for calling off the talks, which it is resuming under American pressure.Due to America’s misplaced desire to employ India as cheap deterrence against China, its leverage over India is on downslide, especially since 2005. Moreover, American support for India’s claim for a permanent seat in the UNSC and entry into strategic trade cartels has added to Indian hubris. Unless America rationalizes its China policy, this trend is likely to continue. Prime Minister Nawaz has done well by telling Obama that India is a violator of UN resolutions—especially on Kashmir— and as such it does not qualify for a permanent UNSC seat. Moreover, Pakistan does not subscribe to adding new centres of power in the UN. Moreover he has also informed the US President that Pakistan also wishes to join Nuclear Suppliers Group.Pakistan should continue to hold its ground on vital issues. Pakistan has sent a correct signal to India that it is contemplating to approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for arbitration regarding violation of provisions of the Indus Water Treaty (ITW) with regards to the construction of the Kishanganga Dam on River Jhelum and four other dams on the Chenab. In addition to Kishanganga, Pakistan had raised technical objections over the designs of 850MW Ratle, 1,000MW Pakal Dul, 120MW Miyar and 48MW Lower Kalnai hydropower projects at River Chenab in IoK. India is actively supporting anti-dam movements in Pakistan, so that it could project it to the international community that Pakistan is unable to utilize its water resources efficiently; this mantra is expected to create a favourable international lobby to support Indian bid for construction of dams on Eastern rivers—Indus, Chenab and Jhelum. Financial trails of some of the anti-dam movements originate from India.Malice underlying Pakistan-India relations has a much broader canvass and much larger depth than what is generally perceived. India had taken a policy decision a long time ago; that it will continue to make an all-out effort to squeeze Pakistan on all counts at bilateral, regional and global levels. Pakistan should be cautious in dealing with India and should not dole out concessions without securing proportionate quid pro quo.

In a report published in 2013, the Asian Development Bank described Pakistan as one of the most "water-stressed" countries in the world, with a water availability of 1,000 cubic meters per person per year — a fivefold drop since independence in 1947.
Statistics from Pakistani government web-sites:
Pakistani population 1951: 33.7 million
Pakistani population 2013: 184 million

Population growth factor = 5.45.

Fresh water sources added by Pakistan 1951-2013 = zero.
Water mismanaged, losses due to deforestation, etc. > zero.

Therefore five-fold is an underestimate.
Does the 1951 figure include East Pakistan as well?
