Op Raahat : The Great Indian Rescue (Pictures and News)

Post by SwamyG »

India is spearheading a rescue operation evacuating humans out of Yemen. This dhaaga will attempt to capture The Great Indian Rescue.

http://indiatoday.intoday.in/education/ ... 29081.html
Now what is Operation 'Raahat'?

Operation 'Raahat' is the operation of the Indian army to evacuate the Indian citizens from Yemen. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, deputed General V.K. Singh, the Minister of State and External Affairs and the former Chief of the Army Staff to Sana (Yemen) and Djibouti as the evacuees were taken from Yemen to Djibouti.
Operation 'Raahat' and how it was administered?
So far, over 1,00,000 people have been displaced from Yemen with help of countries like India, Pakistan and China. Operation 'Raahat' is the evacuation mission led by the Indian Army with the involvement of General V.K. Singh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, personally spoke to Salman biz Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia to make a safe passage for the Indians during the evacuation. Prime Minister's Office has been monitoring the operation and the seamless co-operation between MEA, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Air India, shipping, railway and government officials, who have helped in the rescue work. General V.K. Singh flew to the ground zero for speed evacuation and has been camping in Djibuiti since March 31, 2015.

A picture taken on April 6, 2015 shows an aircraft of Air India taking off behind an aircraft of the Russian Federation Air Force stationned on the tarmac of Sanaa International Airport as hundreds of foreigners are evacuated from conflict-hit Yemen. On the 12th day of the Saudi-led air war, more countries, including Russia, Jordan and India or China, were scrambling to pull out their citizens from the Arabian Peninsula country. At the end in this video, the reporter clearly mentions that the Indian Ship trying to approach the Yemeni coast took fire.

Well done with this 'Raahat' effort both to the GOI and Military. You've made us proud. :)

It is indeed great effort by GOI. Unfortunately MSM has ignored it altogether.

Kerala CM Oommen Chandy urges PM Modi to help Keralites in Yemen

Chandy also said that Pakistani and Chinese nationals had already been evacuated  {Yeah. The Pakis and Chinese picked up the phone and told him as soon as they landed from Yemen}.

The DNA report have used the word "urges", where as Malayalam media reported that Chandy used the word "Nirdhesham" (meaning "instructions", which are generally given from a senior rank to a junior :P). The Malayalam media too is not highlighting the evacuation in its entirety, and my gut feeling is that the media in Kerala just does not want to show-case BJP Govt. or Modi in any positive light.

Today again Kerala CM, has "urged" Modi to route all flights via Kochi International Airport. Again, the pattern seems to be asking more and more. If this is not conveyed already in a diplomatic fashion GoI should clearly tell the GoKL that its duty ends when Indian citizens touch Indian soil. The respective state governments also have to do some honest day's job, and work on taking their people to their homes. Even when the evacuation of Malayali nurses happened from Egypt, the average Keralaite attitude was that they were doing some big favour by coming back. This bluff needs to be called, once and for all.

To be accepted as PM of this country NaMo has to prostrate before C-system. he is not heir to the throne or the anointed one or tasked to hold the fort till yuvaraj attains puberty. he is the one seen as usurper , a rank outsider,a barbarian to the elite power structure. What these pretentious elites fail to realise that masses are behind him. They are seeing his work. To dismantle c-system is a 30 year evolutionary project of 10 year revolutionary project. NaMo has to choose the path and I am sure he has chosen the right one.

The Airspace is controlled by "Saudis". They gave a 4- hour window for "In and Out" for our rescue efforts.
To coordinate with Saudi defense officials in a highly volatile and hostile environment and identify friend and foe is very tricky enough.
Add to it,Put Airforce, Navy, Civilians in a contained space for more than 2 hours and manage without a brawl. This is itself an achievement nobody is talking about.
The Logistics involved are super massive., and do it in the window provided needs great systems and processes in place. I don't think more than 3 or 4 countries on the entire planet have this kind of capability.
