Pakistan 'arranges' Afghanistan government's direct talks with Taliban - ToI
The Taliban are under the control of the ISI and every word they speak is tutored as well as monitored.
Afghan officials are holding talks with Taliban representatives in the Pakistani capital in their first official face-to-face discussions, which the Afghan president said Tuesday were aimed at starting full-fledged negotiations.

The talks in an unannounced location in Islamabad come after repeated informal meetings between Taliban and government representatives, most recently hosted by Qatar and Norway. But the new talks were the first formally acknowledged by the Afghan government — that and the semi-public nature of the talks suggested possible progress after years of frustration in trying to bring the two sides together.

Pakistan's prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, called the holding of the talks ''a major breakthrough'' in comments recorded for Pakistani TV from the Norwegian capital Oslo, where he is on a three-day visit.

He said the overtness of the meeting was a positive development. ''I hope there will be a positive outcome which will certainly be very helpful for peace and stability in Afghanistan,'' he said.

Ghani has enlisted the support of regional countries believed to protect, fund and arm the Taliban, including Pakistan which is pressuring the insurgents to open a channel for peace negotiations, officials and diplomats said. Informal talks in Qatar in May ended on a hopeful note, with the Taliban expressing some flexibility over some issues.

Ghani's office announced Tuesday that a delegation from the government's High Peace Council was travelling to Islamabad to hold the talks. On official from the council said the government representatives include Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai.

The council official said the first session of talks was held Tuesday. However an official with the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that two days of talks would begin on Wednesday. The discrepancy in the timing could not immediately be reconciled. :rotfl: Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.

Ghani said the talks aim to ''change this meeting into a process of continuing talks,'' as well as to build trust and to develop the agenda for any negotiations, according to a statement by his office.

The president has sought Pakistan's help in bringing the Taliban to negotiations, since it is a traditional ally of the group. Still, Islamabad's hosting of the talks raises suspicion among some Afghan politicians, who believe Pakistan is aiming to wield dominance over their country.

Nasrullah Sadieqizada, an Afghan parliament member, called the talks ''Pakistani propaganda.'' {This man seems to know Pakistan very well !}
Meanwhile, US praises Pakistan for its role in talks between Afghan government and Taliban - PTI, Economic Times
"The United States welcomes talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban. This is an important step in advancing prospects for a credible peace," White House Press Secretary, Josh Earnest, told reporters.

"The United States commends the government of Afghanistan's prioritisation of peace and reconciliation efforts with the Taliban. We both acknowledge and appreciate Pakistan's important efforts to host these conversations," he said.

Earnest was responding to questions about reports of direct talks between Kabul and the Taliban in Pakistan.

The US, he said, has been encouraging the Afghans to participate in an Afghan-led process that would bring about a political reconciliation in Afghanistan and a de-escalation, if not an end, to the violence that has racked that country for more than a decade now.

"That's a process that we're going to continue to be supportive of, but ultimately it's a process that must be led by the Afghan people and the Afghan government, of course," Earnest said.

Imran Khan Joins Paki Begging Bowl Brigade In Name of 'Climate Injustice'
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan claimed that the country was facing ‘climate injustice’ at the hands of rich and heavy polluting countries [*], urgingdemanding :D them to compensate Pakistan for the economic losses it has sustained due to climate change.
[*] Does this list include 'Chini Blother'
While praising the formation of climate change ministry by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif-led government, Imran termed the Pakistan’s commitment to tackle climate change a ‘joke’ given that the ministry lacked funding and support from the administration.
“Our focus is on forestry,, I.T. [*] national parks, green energy development – all of which create natural climate mitigation and adaptation measures. In comparison, the Punjab government slashed their environment ministry budget by 75% from last year,” he said.

Good time to remember president bush's speech
https://archive.is/L8UE9#selection-952.2-1075.497

THE PRESIDENT: Good afternoon. On my orders, the United States military has begun strikes against al Qaeda terrorist training camps and military installations of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. These carefully targeted actions are designed to disrupt the use of Afghanistan as a terrorist base of operations, and to attack the military capability of the Taliban regime.

More than two weeks ago, I gave Taliban leaders a series of clear and specific demands: Close terrorist training camps; hand over leaders of the al Qaeda network; and return all foreign nationals, including American citizens, unjustly detained in your country. None of these demands were met. And now the Taliban will pay a price. By destroying camps and disrupting communications, we will make it more difficult for the terror network to train new recruits and coordinate their evil plans.

Initially, the terrorists may burrow deeper into caves and other entrenched hiding places. Our military action is also designed to clear the way for sustained, comprehensive and relentless operations to drive them out and bring them to justice.

Rawalpindi- Islamabad Metro Bus Project Not 'Corruption Proof ' :D
ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Some newly constructed metro bus stations, worth millions of rupees, could not withstand the heavy monsoon showers on Tuesday and were flooded with rainwater.
Pilot Project for the so called 'CPEC corridor' :P
MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, while talking to Dawn, attributed the construction flaws to corruption and the hasty execution of the project.
Nothing new here!
Iqbal Hussain, a passenger waiting at Centaurus,[*] said that while the metro bus service was a positive initiative by the government, the contractors completed the project in haste. :P “Look at how much water is dripping from the ceiling,” he said.
[*] This place was in the news recently; maybe a subliminal message is being sent to the unwashed aam abduls who now flock to this place like vermins :D
Commissioner Saeed, who is the project director for the metro bus, told Dawn that he travelled along the bus route, accompanied by former MNA Hanif Abbasi and did not find any serious problems.
As one reader commented : " Water is flooding the metro station at the same pace as the corruption has flooded metro project
:D

Just wondering who are the  'lucky winners of this corruption lottery'.

Pakistan Paper Publishes Rogues' Gallery List Of Corruption's Who' s Who :D
150 influentials on NAB list
* Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Asif Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Shujaat Hussain, Nawab Aslam Raisani, Aftab Sherpao and Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan are prominent on list of people involved in mega corruption cases submitted by NAB in SC
And they are staying put in their various chairs/ postings/ positions etc etc and the Paki nation can do nothing about it :rotfl:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, former president Asif Ali Zardari, former prime ministers Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, PML-Q chief Shujaat Hussain, former Balochistan chief minister Nawab Aslam Raisani, Qaumi Watan Party chief Aftab Sherpao, former ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani [*][/b]are some of the prominent people on the list.
[*][/b] His name was probably added as an afterthought- after he ran afoul of the military establishment :D
An inquiry is being conducted against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for constructing a road from Raiwind to their farmhouse at a cost of Rs 126 million. Another inquiry against Nawaz Sharif is being carried out over illegitimately appointing his favourites to the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA), the report says.
And these two duo brothers are still shamefully hanging on to their positions; where is their so-called ' Echendee' now.

Kaptaan nowhere on the list

Going by past history of this 'artificial entity', this is nothing but a 'paper exercise' :rotfl:

Mahommaddens from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, not to mention from elsewhere, are quite vociferous in claiming that Mohammaddenism is “The Religion of Peace”. Bearing the claim of the peacefulness of Mohammaddenism in mind and noting that there has not been to my knowledge any religious motivated terrorist attack targeting Mohammaddens by Non-Mohammaddens over the past quarter of a century in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, why is it that security curbs are invariably imposed in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan during Mohammadden religious festivals?

Is it because egg laying green octopoid aliens from the Andromeda galaxy are out to malign the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Mohammaddenism by seeking to kill members of minority Shia sect of Mohammaddenism who are celeberating Youm e Ali, a Mohammadden religious festival which majority Sunni sect shun?:

'Clever Brother' Defends His Family Against Inclusion of 'Sharif' Name In Mega- Scam List
Sharif family paid Rs5.2 billion debt, never asked banks to write-off loans: Shahbaz :?: :-?

LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday claimed that the inclusion of PM Nawaz and himself in a 35-page report on 150 mega scams by the National Accountability Bureau was :rotfl: “erroneous and unjust”.
President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat later on Wednesday responded to the allegations made by NAB against him.

Shujaat said that he should be the first person to be tried for the allegations. “I am not afraid of the truth,” he said.

Ten -Percenti's Spokesman Denies Rumours Of His Second Marriage
Former Pakistan president and widower of Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari has been in the news following several reports of his alleged marriage to Tanveer Zamani, a US-based doctor.
"For several days Tanvir Zamani has been appearing regularly on television channels masquerading as a PPP leader and at times even as a spokesperson of the PPP. She is not a PPP leader and such an impression is totally wrong and misplaced," Senator Farhatullah Babar, PPP spokesperson, was quoted as saying by Dawn.

"Rumours of Zardari marrying the lady in question have unfortunately been deliberately aided by the said lady. She has avoided answers to pointed questions and has spoken with a double tongue," :-? he added.
Pakistani reports have constantly referred to Zamani as a US-based doctor.

However, some Pakistani media have reported that Zamani was in fact an 'Indian citizen' [*]before getting Pakistani citizenship.
[*] There is always an 'Indian Angle' to any Paki news reports :D
Some media reports even went on to say that Zardari and Zamani had a child together, named Sajawal Bhutto, which had allegedly caused a rift between the PPP leader and his son Bilawal Bhutto. [*]
[*] So real reason for father - son enmity now fully explained :D

Is it possible that this could have been a 'temporary marriage arrangement' under the provisions of the 'Minority Sect' sharia law (as in Iran ), where this sort of arrangement is considered kosher. Rumour has it that Zardari belongs to that sect. :D

Inbreeding In British - Paki Marriages Responsible For High Disabilities_ UK Minister
LONDON (Web Desk) – First cousin marriages in Pakistani communities are leading to “so much disability among children”, said Baroness Flather, a former British barrister.

Baroness said, “There are a lot of first-cousin marriages in certain communities, particularly among Pakistanis who come from the Pakistani Kashmir area. We know so much about DNA now, but there is so much disability among the children, which is absolutely appalling.”
Belief in DNA science is all BAKWASS :D

First-cousin marriages, which are are legal in the UK, are practised within Britain’s Pakistani community, as well as among some Arab and African families.
Here is a plausible explanation of the high interest in the I.T. field ( the other kind :D ) among this sector of the British population :D

The gang, according to the FIRs, had recorded videos while sodomising young boys and raping girls and extorted millions of rupees as well as gold jewellery from villagers since 2009. Half of Karachi plunges into darkness
http://tribune.com.pk/story/916715/half ... -darkness/

KARACHI: Soon after Iftar on Tuesday when the residents of Karachi were preparing for Taraweeh prayers, almost half of the metropolis plunged into darkness.

K-Electric spokesperson Usama Qureshi told The Express Tribune that extra high tension lines of 500KV of national grid station had tripped near Dadu and Jamshoro due to which the Bin Qasim power plant’s station number one and two shut down.

“Karachi is facing a shortfall of around 700 megawatts,” he said and assured that technical teams were working on repairing the fault.

The areas affected included FB Area, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Buffer Zone, Baldia Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Korangi, Landhi, Defence, Qayyumabad, Lines Area, Malir, Akhtar Colony, Old City Area, PECHS, Saddar, Site and Tariq Road.

The few areas of the port city where the power supply wasn’t affected experienced low voltage.

Meanwhile, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) spokesperson Nazir Mateen told The Express Tribune that due to power outage the supply of water from Dhabeji and Pipri pumping stations had been suspended.

“The supply of water to the entire city has been stopped,” he said and expressed apprehensions the power shortage could create immense water scarcity in the metropolis.

Looks like the notorious Mohammadden Terrorism fomenting intelligence arm of the Punjabi dominated Uniformed Jihadi’s of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Inter Services Intelligence Directorate aka ISID aka ISI has planted this story in online newspaper Independent News Pakistan (INP):
Indian RAW establishes new set up to sabotage CPEC project: Sources

ISLAMABAD, July 08 (INP): The Indian top intelligence agency, RAW has established a new set up to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Reliable sources said that Mr. Anil Dhasmana (Special Secretary to Secretary RAW) has been appointed head of new set up who will directly report to Secretary RAW. The report said that Mr Anil has been given three officers as members of this team: A Major General, Rajeshwer Singh and Two Joint Secretaries, Mr JS Ramesh and Mr Vivek K Johri. Major General Rajeshwer will be responsible for military aspects. He has been tasked to focus on military dimension of CPEC, Pak-China defence relations, Gwadar Expressway, Karakoram Highway and Economic Corridor projects. Joint Secretary Ramesh has been tasked to identify and exploit at political fault lines of Balochistan to disrupt CPEC, Sindh’s political and public stance on CPEC and KP and Punjab’s stance on CPEC. Joint Secretary Vivek Johri will be responsible for economic aspects of CPEC. His mandate would be to plan sabotage the Power, Coal Plant and economic zones affiliated with CPEC. He will also be responsible for funding of project. It will also plan to disrupt digital network in GB and AJ&K INP/SB/AJ
Mainstream newspapers in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are repeating the same story, presumably under directions of the Punjabi dominated Uniformed Jihadi’s of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, taking care to cover-up any likely embarrassment caused by an ISID planted story by showing the source as INP.

The deal hinges on bakistani army providing fool-proof security to the chinese workers.

bakistani army cant provide proper security to its GHQ and army schools, so no wonder the chinese are developing cold feet and thinking twice before investing in bakistan

It serves them fine to spread these rumors beforehand.
1. They know it is 400% certain that lizzard biladhel will give them $46 billion onlee.
They are prolly not going to like what biladhel is going to demand in return for this

2. Bak fauj can pretend to be muhafiz of bakistan a bit more. See evil yindooz are planning another bangla-e-desh onlee, fauj will brotect Al Bakistan onlee. If India didn't give them a thappad, then the martial fauj is to be credited with this

BTW, with the cheeni stock market wiping off $500 billon-3trillion from lizzards economy, one wonders if they'll want to invest in crazy high risk projects in La La Land.

Jernail Raheel Sharif is upto something tactically brilliant domestically. Looks like he doesn't want to retire after 1 1/2 years...

Pak. says it will not accept any ‘red lines’ on dialogue - Suhasini Haidar, The Hindu
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting his Pakistani counterpart, Nawaz Sharif, in Ufa, Russia, on Friday, Pakistan has made it clear that it will not accept any “red lines” on dialogue, stating officially that all talks will include the issue of Kashmir and that contacts with the Hurriyat leadership will be maintained.

On Wednesday, a Pakistani Minister said in Parliament that there was “no scope” for banning the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, one of India’s consistent demands on acting against the 26/11 accused.

Official sources said the meeting reflected the Indian understanding that the “fundamentals of the India-Pakistan relationship will not change”. Despite Indian apprehensions that the military holds the upper hand on all India-Pakistan contacts, a dialogue of some sort is believed to be necessary “as long as there is no terror attack or incident at the LoC” that could turn public opinion in India against the dialogue again.

The question of who initiated the request for the meeting in Russia is significant as India had cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks last August as Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit met Hurriyat leaders. After that, despite being in the same places on two occasions, in New York in September and Kathmandu in November, the two leaders had failed to schedule a bilateral meeting.

In an interview at the time, Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz told The Hindu that “India broke off the talks; so talks can only be held if India initiates them.” Since then, Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar visited Islamabad in March to meet his counterpart during a “SAARC Yatra” initiated by Mr. Modi, but the government fell short of calling it a resumption of dialogue.

Recently, tensions rose over India’s counter-terrorism operations against militants in Myanmar, with the government’s suggestion that a similar operation could be pursued with Pakistan.

Pakistan's former finance minister Dr Hafeez Pasha demands trade concessions to India - PTI, Economic Times
Pakistan's former finance minister and renowned economist Dr Hafeez Pasha has asked authorities in his country to remove barriers in Indo-Pak trade and give trade incentives to India to create competition with China.

Pasha said Pakistan should "think strategically, not emotionally, on trade issues" and create competition on items being imported from other countries, especially from China.

"Giving duty concessions to India on items that we import from China under the Free Trade Agreement will create competition between the two countries for the Pakistani market. This will economically benefit Pakistan," the Express Tribune quoted Pasha as saying.

Noting that the global economy is in recession and bilateral trade is diminishing, he said that in Pakistan's case the scenario is worse as its imports are increasing more than exports and recently, the country has started importing items that had never been imported before.

"India's exports to Pakistan have reduced 19 per cent, whereas Pakistani exports to India have also witnessed a cut of 9 per cent this year," said Pasha.

He said that the country has to move on by giving access to India on those items that do not hurt its industry.

The best example of such commodities is agricultural items as around 40 per cent to 50 per cent of Pakistan's imports from India are agriculture based, he added.

This is due to the huge amount of subsidy which Indian government gives to its sector and this is the main reason why Pakistan, which before partition, was exporting agriculture items, is now importing those products.

"Removing barriers in Pak-India trade will not boost growth rate immediately. It will have a modest impact on the economy. In some years, our GDP level would be higher," he added.

Neelum Jhelum project : Govt rejects higher interest payments on Chinese loan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has turned down China’s demand for higher interest payments on a $576-million loan for the Neelum Jhelum hydroelectric power project in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, fearing it may have adverse impact on national finances and foreign currency reserves of the country, officials say.

Though the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) had expressed its willingness to pay the high interest rate, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his cabinet members dismissed the talk of expensive borrowing and proposed China should be asked to charge the same interest rate as collected on a previous loan for the project.

Lenders from the Middle East have already stopped a planned $433 million loan to fund the strategically important 969-megawatt Neelum Jhelum project following the surge in cost estimates to $4.21 billion.

During the previous administration of Pakistan Peoples Party, the project cost had jumped to $2.74 billion from $1.8 billion and now the estimated cost has gone up further to $4.21 billion.

Earlier, the project had to be completed by October this year, but the deadline has been revised to November 30, 2016. Financial close of the project has also not yet been achieved.

Pakistan had kicked off work on the Neelum Jhelum River in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to secure water supplies but India also started developing the Kishanganga hydroelectric power project on the river, which sparked a legal battle between the two countries in the International Court of Arbitration.

According to officials familiar with the developments, Pakistan has placed a request with the Export-Import (Exim) Bank of China, a state bank solely owned by the Chinese government, for a loan of $576 million to meet foreign currency needs of the project. Negotiations on the terms and conditions for the loan were under way through the Economic Affairs Division (EAD).

“However, there are differences over the rate of interest. Exim Bank demands a higher rate of 7% compared to the 4.4% it charged on the previous loan for the same project,” chief financial officer of the Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Company told the Cabinet Committee on Energy in a meeting held in mid-June.

Wapda Chairman Zafar Mahmood expressed the willingness to accept the higher interest payment on the Chinese loan, arguing that the organisation had to bear a far higher interest cost on cash development loans (CDL).

However, some cabinet members pointed out that expensive borrowing from foreign sources would have adverse implications for local finances as well as foreign currency reserves of the country. Every effort should be made to get the new loan on the interest already being charged, they said.

It was also emphasised that loan negotiations should reach a conclusion soon preferably before the end of September.

Responding to the emphasis, the cabinet committee decided to press ahead with the negotiations at a fast pace to secure the fresh loan at the interest rate already being charged.

Associate any entity with RAW and it provides Pakistani establishment the legitimacy and the approval to crackdown brutally on dissenting elements.
Be it Baccha Khan(Pashtuns), Mujib(Bengalis), G M Syed (Sindhis), Bughti (Baloch), TTP(Pashtuns); or now Altaf(Muhajirs). Pakjabis have preemptively raised RAW bogey to impose silence or prepare military ground for imposing silence, dissent or brutal force.
The above article with respect to CPEC has only one political objective. It is to prepare a ground for declaring any Pakistani dissent against CPEC as treason in alliance with RAW.
Let’s be clear. The project of this scale will require land, water and labor appropriation on large scale. It will have massive subcontracts to supply material, labor, housing, food and even entertainment.
More often than not, it will be poor farmers, marginalized, ethnic and linguistic minorities who would be cheated out of their property, land, labour and daughters to make CPEC.
On the other hand, it would be Pakjabis/Army who would make moolah out of the contracts and the subsequent accruals. This loot and wealth transfer will definitely cause dissent, protest and violence.
The Pakjab Fauj is only deterring that voice of dissent by establishing the following narrative:
• China Pakjab Economic Corridor is Pro-Pakistan (although the financials are unfeasible and would make Pakistan for ever debt ridden)
• That anybody protesting against Pro-Pakistan is anti-Pakistan
• RAW is anti-Pakistan
• Those against CPEC are RAW
Only a very strong Islamism would be able to derive a higher legitimacy.

Sure, strategically brilliant ?
They have more experience with tactical brilliance.
What indicators are there about the uniformed Sharif's career graph ?

was thinking for a change...

Pakis openly protecting Hafeez, Lakhvi is a godsend blessing for us. It gives us the thickest, hottest and meanest stick to beat pakis all over the world. As our economy and influence increases the stick becomes bigger and harder. They even make China to publicly support them and hence gives us another stick for China! I mean give me another thing better than this to have both our enemies in a crosshair. This is the best revenge for 26/11 and it is going to last until those yahoos die or pakistan take action against them. See, what worst those b@stards can harm us? Kill another 100-200 people? They are strategically useless for pakis. They will never be able to hand over Kashmir to their masters. In fact they give us a platform to confidently say "we will use terrorism to kill paki terrorist". Would this be possible had not those two been protected by the state of pakistan?

Step back for a while and imagine pakistan hands over them to us! Suddenly pakistan will be like reborn as an angel! They can tom tom their "goodness" just like how we are beating them everywhere. Suddenly all seculars, peacenicks in India will start campaigning. Kashmir separatist will get momentum. Not to forget Siachin peace park builders. Congress will start hindi-paki bhai bhai slogans. Burkha, Thappad, Sardesais, entire CNN-IBN and NDTV will have daily orgasms. The pressure on us to talk to them, concede, compromise will be immense. We will lose our tactical advantage to project pakistan as an evil all over the world.

So, if they handover we can celebrate for a short while, if they don't we hold upper hand and we can hound them, beat them as long we want.

just thinking...

Very true
But they won't do that for several reasons
1. Loss of H&D
2. That is the one card they have, India holds all the cards otherwise
3. Fear of massive dissent both within and oitsude the fauj

Ultimately, these jihadi groups are not meant to deliver kashmir to them. There is nothing they can do that'll give them kashmir. The jihadis only keep them in the game by some perverse sense, legitemise the fauji budget because of a fear of an Indian thappad.

The jihadis are green, and the faujis are brown. The brown are pretending to be muhafiz of the green for the consumption of the mango abduls

This in a country that was supposed to be totally green in the most unfettered way

Quite true. This is because too many people think sentimentally and emotionally about Pakistan, not objectively. Apart from the cessation of terrorism in India, Afghanistan and Central Asian states, Indian interests remain the same whether or not Pakistan stops terrorism.

They don't even have to do that much to get the elite list of Indians you listed from having orgasms and aggressively and loudly demanding ModiJi to hold piss talks with TSP (like they are hounding ModiJi now on every perceived impropriety). My gut feel is that at the most opportune moment, TSP won't hand over any pigLeT, nor will it ever get rid of the India-centric pigLeTs, but it will make some noises about Lakhvi and that will be enough for a ton of bricks to be unleashed on ModiJi's head.

Thanks, good to know!

IMO, in this $46B purported Chinese investment in Pakistan, we need to separate out the Gwadar port & Gwadar-Karakoram transport corridor from all the rest, because that has possible strategic value to China and China may be willing to pay for those assets.

AFAIK, the power plant investments are at a cost per MW 50% higher than Tata, Adani, Reliance are charging in Bangladesh and Vietnam. The Chinese asking for 7% interest for funding the Neelum Jhelum project is another indicator that the bulk of the $46B is not a Marshall Plan for Pakistan; it is a business arrangement, and at above market rates because Pakistan represents a greater risk, and because China is about the only investor available, and so does not need to compete with anyone for projects.

Its more of a marshall plan for china.
Gawd knows, this stock market crash will have shaken the faith of a lot of chinese economists.

China will do to pakistan, what it did to Ecuador. Apart from the emotional debt (Which KSA found out, doesn't really matter much with these congenital beggers), the cheenis are looking to get the pakis into some serious monetary debt. Then it'll be a free for all over pakistan's resources, business trade concessions, political concessions on the side, and so on...

The pakistanis are being suckered into a whrilpool.

Now the Pakistanis are not that stupid, and they see this and all, but..
1. They have no other choices.
2. Their hatred of India, makes them do strange things
3. "Hate India" is an industry, on which a lot of livelihoods depend on - the faujis most of all.
