New LeT Chief?
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) at Pampore in the Kashmir Valley was a deliberate target because of its advantageous structure and safe spaces “known to the militants.”
Sources said it could be the first ‘spectacular’ attack launched by the new Kashmir chief of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, named after the killing of Abu Qasim in October last year. Preliminary reports suggest the building was “identified as vulnerable” in the backdrop of Qasim’s plans to take over hotels and building to carry out ‘spectacular’ attacks. In fact, Qasim was behind a Mumbai-type abortive bid to take over a hotel, Silver Star, frequented by non-locals on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway on October 10, 2012.

ohhh.....in my previous post ,i was indeed "harsh" to these pathetic scums, bigots and morons , stone pelting the very guys who are trying to save their arse. The GOC is saying , those piglets were in vintage position , could watch their every move , then why rush your men in harms way ( without proper room intervention equipment ) ?????
In the last ten years from 2006 till date , the ratio of terrorists killed for every security force jawan lost had dipped to the lowest level , 2.7 : 1 .

check out the troop carriers and they are into the thick of an operation !!!!!!!!!!! with such attitude , casualties are bound to happen .

As soldiers fought terrorists, mosques nearby hailed mujahid

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 098979.cms
Mosques in localities like Frestabal, Drangbal, Kadlabal and Sempora played recordings throughout Monday eulogising the terrorists. Slogans like ' Jaago, jaago subah hui' besides pro-Pakistan ( Jivey, jivey Pakistan!) and pro-Azadi (' Hum kya chahatey: azadi') blared from the mosques' loudspeakers.
Hundreds of youth assembled across the rivulet at the site of the encounter in the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) building, with clashes reported with security forces in their bid to cross the stream to try and physically prevent the security forces from launching combat operation against the terrorists. Sempora is a mere 15 km from Srinagar.
Police and paramilitary forces prevented the crowd from crossing the rivulet by firing tear gas shells from boats. In return, angry youths pelted cops with stones in a locality near Sempora, sources said.
Intelligence agencies, sources said, were taken aback by loud speakers blaring encomium on the terrorists. However, the police could not enter the mosques to stop these recordings, possibly supplied by Pakistan in recent months, said an IB source.
The entire Pulwama district, including the separatist hotbed of Tral, observed a complete shutdown on Monday in "solidarity" with the holed-up terrorists, stated posters put up by the separatists.

Here is half-baked BS on rediff by some guy called Rajeev Sharma

http://www.rediff.com/news/column/talks ... 160222.htm

He claims that the pigLeTs wanted to take people in that building hostage and create a huge crisis. I mean, this was an out and out operation by Pakis and their KM accomplices. Furthermore, the pigLeTs did not want to harm the locals, in fact many reports (which I believe) said they actually let the people from the building go. I am sure they had good insider support. The Pakis just wanted to create some harakiri, take out a few of our guys, boost morale of the scum who will follow in a few days attacking somewhere else, and show the locals that they are their brothers and keep the fight alive. Nothing more to it IMO. And the locals get some cheap thrills watching their Paki brothers take a few of our guys and triumphantly laugh along with Pakis as they see the tragic funeral scenes of our fallen men unfold on Indian TV screens.

There is no major military objective in these attacks, these are designed as I said to keep the fight alive, and wear down India to the point where it is forced to discuss the status of Kashmir, or so TSP thinks. One must also view this in the context of JNU events which surely have a TSP role. Interestingly, some slimy libtards claim they support the troops who are supposedly being used as cannon fodder by Indian govt. So here again Pakis hope that libtard types will put pressure on Indian govt to negotiate Kashmir and put an end to the killing of troops whom they supposedly support.

^^^^
This not some thing new. The attitude is and has been that , these bigots are lured into militancy by the porkis. The strategy that every successive Govt took is , wining the hearts of these bigots through development and taking out the fringe elements. Well these strategy is good on paper but going by the reports have failed miserably. This approach by GOI have installed the feeling of entitlement in them. In contrast to them , see the ordinary Afghans , they flaunt a 100 meter Tricolor for showing solidarity and gratitude to Indians who are helping them reconstruct their country.

We are keeping our presence in kashmir on the shoulders of our huge manpower and their sacrifices . There can't be one solution to these cancers , we need a cocktail of medicines . First the state should be broken in to 3 parts. Kashmiri state assembly should be dissolved , these parasites in the name of democracy is sucking Indian resources and spewing venom against India. Rapid development work with public investment for creating jobs under the control of military. There will be resistance but will get out of steam in due course when they begun to see the benefits. This strategy is in sync with what have been planned by GOI but the delivery mechanism needs to be changed and strictly not by any local govt .

Without fixing the nest and breeders across the borders, we're only going to be in a holding pattern swatting any and all roaches that cross the border. Take out the $hitstains on the other side and we'll see how long stone pelting lasts on empty stomachs.

We have to look at how the British tamed the Boers in S.Africa. They divided the country, set up fences, etc and dealt with each zoine independently.J&K should be made safe for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits displaced by terror.A number of new settlements as Israel is doing in its territory ,safe and secure, military camps part of them should be built at strategic locations in the state.
Thes ecamps should have UG shelters ,helipads, even short airstrips if poss. and in truth be "forts" with high external walls like those in mediaeval towns across Europe. In fact if you look at Indian history, such fortified settlements are in abundance.Jaisalmer,Chittogarh,Jodhpur,Shivaji's forts in the Deccan are there to follow. Ahmedabad's "pols" another example. These fortified settlements should be linked to each other by road, rail too where possible and by air (helos and light aircraft).

In dealing with terror attacks,to minimize casualties of our forces, the use of max firepower right from the start of the op.,when the pigs have been located/surrounded.

Pampore strike signals changing strategy by militants - The Hindu
The Pampore fidayeen (suicide) attack, which left nine persons dead, including five security personnel, was the first such deadly strike in six years in and around Srinagar since the 2010 Lal Chowk attack when militants took over a hotel in the commercial hub.

The attack, on the outskirts of the nearby Pulwama district’s Sempora area, just 16 km from Srinagar and 12 km from the Army’s 15 Corps headquarters, witnessed heavily armed militants determined to engage the security agencies in a long-drawn operation.

Around 4 p.m. on Saturday last, three militants, one wearing a long Kashmiri cloak pheran , emerged on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, which is patrolled by security forces’ convoys all day, and opened fire on a CRPF bus, which was at the tail end of a convoy. Two CRPF jawans were killed and nine others injured in the attack.

The militants could have easily taken advantage of the narrow alleys or the nearby open fields to flee from the spot, but chose to walk down to the Entrepreneurial Development Institute (EDI) building to draw the forces into a prolonged battle.

The first to challenge the militants at the EDI were CRPF personnel who held fire to evacuate 129 stranded civilians from the premises in a one-and-a-half-hour rescue operation. By the time, the militants, who had also asked the civilians to vacate the building, positioned themselves to take on the CRPF.

The advance of the security force was halted by a volley of grenades lobbed by the militants. The CRPF alerted the Army’s elite 9 and 10 para forces to take on the heavily armed militants, with the police and the CRPF backing the operation.

Captain Pawan Kumar (23) volunteered to storm the building in the wee hours of Sunday as the night-long stand-off failed to subdue the militants. In the following operation, however, Capt. Kumar was killed after being hit by a volley of bullets followed by explosions.

“The lobby on the ground floor was open and grenades tossed from the top would easily reach the ground floor, making it difficult to enter the building and take over the floor ”, said a police officer.

Constructed in 1997, the EDI building is a structure with rooms within rooms and a canteen at the top, which could have helped the militants to survive and battle the forces for more than 48 hours.

With the militants quickly changing positions, a second assault was launched by Captain Tushar Mahajan, in which he and Lance Naik Om Prakash were killed, but only after managing to force the militants to the third floor.

Capt. Mahajan’s operation allowed other personnel to enter and take position on the ground floor on day two. However, owing to explosions, the second and third floors caught fire.

“This slowed down the operation”, said the police officer.

On Monday morning, the Army was able to locate the position of the militants hiding in the third and fourth floors and plan a joint action. “We cleared the building room by room. Several grenades were used to sanitise a floor as there were rooms within a room”, said the police officer.

It was around 3 p.m. that the Army engaged the militants in a face-to-face gun battle. The operation came to an end by 4 p.m. The Pampore attack may signal the start of a new strategy by LeT of launching attacks in the urban pockets in Srinagar unlike in the past when it operated mostly in rural areas.

Utter rot by the paper. The reason is more like if they kill fellow muslims in the crossfire, they won't be viewed kindly by the populace and that's why porkis stick to rural areas. And they did let the civvies go, if the paper's version is true(I don't trust the Thecommie)

I believe the IA has no hesitation in bring down a residential house if it has to and given a typical babu response to get back some money for rebuilding, no sane muslim is going to let his urban house be part of a firefight.

And if Kashmiriyat clowns want an urban blight with every 2nd house pockmarked and windows blown out, the IA would do that happily if they harbour porkis.

Of the few live/near live action reports seen on TV, neighbours too have to evacuate when firefights happen and the area looks like a major gang fight happened after the porkis are shredded.

To sum it, the writer is pulling it out of his mushie

X Posted from the “Great Indian Political Drama 5 - February 2016” thread.

Daily Pioneer reports that Enforcement Directorate and Investigation Wing of Income Tax raids showed that “Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti has built a huge empire for himself in different parts of the world by making investment in real estates and engaging in other business activities in London, Dubai, South Africa, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, British Virgin Island, France, USA, Switzerland, Greece and Spain.”

Raids dig up empire of PC’s son

That leads me to speculate if Former Finance Minister P.C. Chidambaram’s recent comments regards Afzal Guru’s execution has more to it than meets the eye and is a ploy to lay the groundwork that his son’s prosecution is a political vendetta by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP Government for his airing of views that are contrary to those held by the BJP:

Afzal Guru's case was perhaps not correctly decided: P Chidambaram

Intel agencies look for ‘enemy within’

Ajay Banerjee

Tribune News Service

New Delhi, March 3
Indian security agencies are searching for an “enemy within”, who allegedly helped a person based in Pakistan to spread military-related information in real-time using Twitter.

A probe is on in New Delhi as to how a man in Karachi was uploading pictures on the web in real time of the gunfight between terrorists and security forces at Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir between February 20 and February 22. Seven tweets of the person are under scrutiny.

The Army and the CRPF had been locked in an encounter with terrorists, who had stormed a building of the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) at Pampore.

Security agencies were baffled over the real-time pictures being uploaded on Twitter from an account, which suggested the person was based in Karachi. Also, the pictures are from such locations where it’s impossible for any photographer to reach. The person has 13,000 Twitter followers.

(The name of his Twitter handle is being withheld as a probe is on). The Karachi-based person, in one of his tweets, credited a Mumbai-based person (name withheld) for the pictures. The Twitter account of the Mumbai-based person is accessible to only 72 persons.

The most vital link is the person, who clicked the pictures and possibly circulated the same using either WhatsApp or Hike to the Mumbai-based person, who further tweeted them to his closed group, and from thereon, the Karachi-based person picked them up.

Here are the tweets that are under probe.

At 10.28 am on Feb 22: A tweet from Karachi showed the bullet-riddled body of Capt Pawan Kumar Khatkarat a hospital. It’s a close-up shot taken from less than 5 feet away and inside a hospital. The media was reportedly not allowed inside the hospital.

At 10.32 am on the same day, the Karachi-based man posted two pictures of an Army mini-UAV - one ready to take off and another one flying at a low altitude to locate terrorists at Pampore. The tweet appeared almost real-time and the UAVs were used in the operation, said sources.

The Karachi-based Twitter handle also uploaded pictures of a CRPF convoy, the JKEDI building set on fire and bodies of terrorists surrounded by Army men.

The focus should be on agenda of the alliance, that is what we have asked for," he said.Mehbooba, had during her meeting with the Governor, discussed various challenges faced by the state on developmental and economic fronts."Met the Governor to discuss general issues on stalled projects which were started during Mufti Sahab," Mehbooba told reporters earlier today. The stalemate over government formation in the state continues after the demise of PDP patron and former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in January. You open Rediff anyday and it starts with some anti-India post by someone. If you observe closely in a month about 90 articles will be anti-India and less than 10 that's pro or something positive about India. So that explains a lot about Rediff. So they belong to the Left/Jihadi publication of India.

J&K encounters: Don’t interfere in ops, Army warns residents

ARMY Thursday issued a strong warning to those trying to take law in their hands during security operations across the Valley. In a new trend seen lately, locals assemble at encounter sites, trying to break the security cordon in a reported bid to provide an escape route to trapped militants.“In case the crowd takes law in its hands and threatens life and property, security forces will be constrained to initiate appropriate action to counter it,’’ said an Army spokesperson in a statement. He was responding to allegations over the Ashimuqam incident where residents have accused Army of opening fire on civilians without any provocation. Two civilians were injured in the incident, and one of them is critical.“A joint operation was launched by the Army and J&K Police Tuesday in Ashimuqam based on specific information regarding presence of some militants in Magrey Mohalla. As the operations were in progress, a large crowd of approximately 1000 people gathered at the site to disrupt the operations in clear violation of existing orders which had also been recently reiterated by the police,” said the spokesperson. He also accused “unscrupulous, rogue elements” in the crowd of throwing stones at the security forces.
“Despite the provocation, the security forces exercised full restraint in trying to dissuade the crowd from interfering with their operations. However, not paying any heed, the crowd responded by pelting stones, shouting inflammatory slogans and started closing in with the security forces, resulting in injury to more than a dozen personnel including a JCO of the Army and an ASI of J&K Police,” said the spokesperson. He added that an investigation into the incident had established that the security forces were forced to open cautionary fire to prevent any further injury to personnel and loss or damage of equipment.

Hearing news of Geela-nahi meeting his 72 abduls is good news and will lead to some softening of Hurrirats. Given that Hillary facing headwinds in the US., now is the time to soften up the hurrirats even more. Maybe some of the mid-level and junior-level hurrirats can be softened up and some sent to mandatory one-way hajj pilgrimage. Point is that Amerikhans when they land in cashmere have to count only on Indian support to even break wind.

Uncle SAM is the biggest problem, everything else will fall in place. and no GOI can solve that problem including this one, no matter how much chest thumping they do. new US presidency (may be trumph) can support india to some extent. but then again there is nothing in concrete. these attacks will keep going on and on and nothing will be done by GOI to stop them. all GOI is trying to do is minimizing losses, by not crossing the border. but for how long they will keep taking the bullets is for them to answer.

Unfortunately, it is time for a jingoist post. Sorry, but blaming everything on the GoI and external forces is a very good excuse for Indian citizens (at lease those who care) to disown their own responsibilities (beyond being law abiding citizens and voting in election). Imagine Bhagat Singh and many other who gave their lives blaming obstacle to India's freedom on British monarchy and doing nothing. Imagine, Putin saying, oh only if uncle wasn't a problem I would have retained influence on Syria without any military intervention, relaxing drinking vodka and slurping caviar. My reference to Indian citizens includes you and me. Remember, Indians were unwilling, but went along any way to please uncle sam when sanctions were in imposed on other countries that uncle sam wanted to influence. But India is willing to open its billion people consumer economy for the rest of the world, without asking for any concessions, including asking someone in their face to "Pick Us or Bakistan". Pick us and your MNCs have access to sell your products and services to a population of a billion, else go and sleep with Bakistan, and loose access Indian market for ever. Wish voting for a good prime minister ended our responsibilities..

Kashmir has been brought down by the collaborators within

I see a lot of empathy, sympathy, charity, help, and outrage pouring in at the pictures emerging from the Middle-East about the ethnic cleansing of Yazidis going on. I can't help but wonder, is it because there are pictures and documentation of the horrendous plight and day by day accounts, and none or very less from 1990 of the Kashmiri Pandits. That there exist strains of thought that Kashmiri Pandits were well off in pre 90 Kashmir, or that they have been assimilated into India and do not face much discrimination compared to the Dalits and Muslims; or that they have made very comfortable lives for themselves post 90s is very disturbing to say the least. There is a term doing the rounds on social network sites - 'trendy liberals'. I am not sure who coined it or what the definition is but if you don't think all lives matter and that everyone has human rights irrespective of their social status, then you definitely qualify for a trendy liberal who is just scoring brownie points with their 'drawing room' friends. I have seen those trendy liberals – doing cocktail rounds in parties hosted for the discussion of the Kashmir imbroglio or the North-east question or the scourge of what the Army is doing in Manipur or Kashmir while smoking their cigars and munching on barbecue beef.

A wrong is a wrong, losing a home and a way of life, not to mention the effects of a monochromatic culture domination as equal to the thousands disappeared, and killed by the Indian Army and buried in mass graves. There is something called a living death and it is not visible to most people. By making the majority complacent in this grave travesty of justice due to a Kalashnikov imposed silence, the perpetrators made sure we would forever have to carry this blot on the history of Kashmiriyat and our conscience. There is a fact which needs to be cleared once and for all. Along with the Kashmiri Pandits, there were liberal, communist, secular Muslims who were also hounded out of their homes terrorised by putting names on hit-lists; posters and pamphlets stuck on doors, or a 'friendly' neighbour dropping in asking them to leave because the majority would not be able to assure their safety. Selected targets for assassinations included Muslims too such as Mushirul Haq and others. So along with the fallacy of the 'Jagmohan conspiracy' it is an untruth that only Pandits were ethnically cleansed – it was a cleansing of secularism, liberalism , progressive people too – not unlike the ones professing to claim 'Azadi' for Kashmir in India's prestigious universities.
All lives matter, and rights are for everyone. The Kashmiri Pandits still living in squalid conditions, and who till recently were residents of Muthi camp (it was dismantled a few years ago) stand as testament to the Islamo-fascism that swept the 90s in Kashmir. It appalls me to think that hearsay is being circulated that Kashmir Pandits were well off comparatively and they do not face as much discrimination as the Dalits and Musims in India do. The hijabis catering to the 'frat boys' and Islamists put forth the same argument that women of Kashmir are comparatively much freer than the rest of India. This bodes to me laziness, intellectual dishonesty, oversimplification of a complex demography. When the Jews in Nazi occupied Germany were hounded out under a reign of terror, intimidation, plain bigotry and state terrorism upheld by propaganda, the resistance fighters who were from the German population themselves did not stop to think that the Jews are majorly into the money-lending profession and will be able to buy their freedom from cattle-trucks taking them to Auschwitz. The truth is Kashmir has been occupied by Islamist forces since the 90s and it is a psych-ops strategy to term it and present it as a reverse-occupation just to bring down an infidel nation so that Kashmir can join the Ummah.
Kashmir has always been brought down by collaborators and in this particular period the collaborators have been our very own.

Lots of Pakis in the valley.

The match is expected to be watched by hundreds of millions of television viewers, including in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir where many residents will be rooting for Pakistan.

"On Friday, I will go to Jamia Masjid (the grand mosque) and pray for my team's victory over India," said Bashir Ahmed, a shopkeeper in the city of Srinigar.

"On Saturday, I will see my prayers answered, inshallah."
