There is old story in Punjab. One De-hotti Awarat called Pakibai was obsessed with getting attention and reaction from her jolly neighbor that one day her lover gave her new ring to wear on Index finger but neighbor just ignored it. She went shaking hand with neighbor so he can notice the ring, she tried Namaste , Adab, Picked her Nose, Slapped herself ,did Whorizental, Vertical Khujli on front Boondlee to show the shining ring, nothing , nada reaction from other side. After doing all sort of Kottha tricks he set the upper story of her house on fire, whole house got gutted, neighborhood gathered including the one she wanted to show. Coming close She pointed out the burnt place with her finger and the neighbor exclaimed Oh, when did you get the new ring on your finger?

De-hotti Bai cried O you Zalim Kafir with Chotta Heart , had you noticed the ring before , my house would have still been standing and not destroyed. Now give me asylum in your house.

No Time for a Nuclear Deal with PakistanA nuclear deal with Pakistan is simply not worth the effort for the United States.
By Daniel Markey

A recent proposal advanced by scholars at two D.C.-based think tanks to “normalize” Pakistan captures the underlying rationale of the deal under discussion. They argue that Pakistan’s leaders should recognize that their nuclear arsenal is already big enough to deter India, and that since deterrence has always been Pakistan’s goal, now is the time to voluntarily slow the costly program and reconsider Pakistan’s participation in several international arms control agreements—including the Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty and the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.By taking these steps, the report’s authors go on to suggest that the United States and the rest of the world are more likely to sympathize with Pakistan’s deep desire to be mainstreamed into the international nuclear order, just as India has been. Because nearly all U.S. analysts fear that Pakistan and India are on their way to a spiraling nuclear competition that will soon take to the seas in the form of nuclear-armed submarines, heading off a nuclear arms race in South Asia would be a major accomplishment.
Yet a nuclear deal of this sort faces several big problems. First, no matter what Pakistan does to limit its program voluntarily, there is a good chance that India will continue its own military buildup. New Delhi competes not only with Islamabad, but also with Beijing. Any Indian military sized to deal with Pakistan alone would be insufficient to fight China, while any program sized to deal with China would pose a menacing threat to Pakistan. Because Pakistan uses its nuclear program to make up for India’s superior conventional military power, the chances of Islamabad accepting nuclear caps while India’s military grows are slim.
Worst of all, the nuclear discussion shifts attention from the underlying causes of American anxiety with Pakistan and the greatest stumbling blocks to effective partnership between Washington and Islamabad. A comparison with the U.S.-Iran nuclear deal is instructive. Critics of that deal correctly pointed out that it does nothing to address Tehran’s other bad behavior, from imprisoning journalists to sponsoring terrorists. But the pressing need to keep Iran out of the nuclear weapons club—and the hope that a negotiated settlement would accomplish that purpose better than other options—at least offered a plausible rationale for inking the deal. The same cannot be said of a nuclear deal with Pakistan. Pakistan is already a nuclear weapons state. A successful deal would ultimately ratify that condition, not roll it back. Addressing Pakistan’s bad behavior on other fronts is the more pressing requirement.
To be sure, Pakistan is hardly a declared American enemy like Iran. But the U.S. State Department cannot certify that Pakistan’s military has targeted the Haqqani Network of militants that has so viciously attacked U.S., Afghan, Indian, and coalition partners in Afghanistan. Nor do senior U.S. officials believe that Pakistan has seriously tried to go after Lashkar-e-Taiba, the terrorist group best known for its November 2008 commando raid on Mumbai, India that killed 166 innocents.
Pakistan’s current condition raises other fundamental questions about its long-term relationship with the United States as well. Pakistan’s fragile economy remains dependent on outside support, underperforms relative to the needs of a fast growing population of nearly 200 million, and has pinned its future on a massive bailout from Beijing. Pakistan’s political leadership is a civilian democracy in appearance but dominated by the military in all matters of substance. Pakistan’s society is increasingly rent by violent sectarian cleavages and so deeply infected by anti-U.S. and anti-Indian prejudices that it is hard to imagine the emergence of trust-based partnership anytime soon. These are the topics that really ought to occupy the precious time and attention of U.S. policymakers dealing with Pakistan. There is simply no time for a nuclear deal.

Pakistan refuses to attend SAARC Training Conference in India
ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday refused to participate in SAARC Training Conference in India citing the atrocious acts of Indian extremist party Shiv Sena.

In a statement the ECP spokesman said that ECP has decided not to attend SAARC Training Conference in the wake of acts of violence being perpetrated by Hindu extremist party Shiv Sena since the last several days.

The ECP spokesman added that anti-Pakistan activities of Shiv Sena in India are intolerable, hence ECP has decided not to attend training conference due to upsurge in incidents of violence.

SAARC Forum is going to hold training conference from November 17 to 26 in India to impart training to members of Election commission.

Senior officers of election commissions of member countries of SAARC including Pakistan have been invited to this conference.
So Pakis saved Shiv Sena the "time and effort" to organize a boycott
It would be a good idea if this precedent of "one sided boycott/ refusal " is emulated by their sporting bodies

Quack burnt alive in Lahore
LAHORE (Online) – A quack was burnt alive by unknown persons in the Kahna area of Lahore on Wednesday.
He was burnt alive at a graveyard located in Kahna, according to the police who were informed by few locals.
The body has been shifted to a hospital.
The 40-year-old quack was residing near a darbar adjacent to a graveyard. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
So, mob justice, which one usually associates with third class medieval times, is still alive and functioning in the first class cultural capital of Pakisatan
Pakistan has a long way to go; all it can do, is just "dream" of becoming a mini-superpower (whatever it means !) by 2025

With new show, Shafqat Amanat and Ahsan Khan hope to bridge Pak-India divide
Asia's Singing Superstar — a Zee TV production being shot in Delhi — will see two Pakistanis in the limelight: Shafqat Amanat Ali and Ahsan Khan will be one of the show's judges and hosts respectively.
Shiv Sena will probably take note of this tamasha being produced.
Ahsan Khan hopes that the show will play a part in fostering friendly relations between Pakistan and India.
"Given the current situation when radical elements are trying their best to ruin political ties between the two countries, this particular show can play a role to [relax] the tense moods on both sides of the border," Ahsan said to Images.
Will definitely help him in increasing his bank balance, if, the project is completed.
n the show, contestants from Pakistan, India and the UAE will be divided into two teams. While one team will be mentored by Shafqat, the other will receive the guidance of renowned singer/composer Shankar Mahadevan, the show's second judge.
Ahsan will be hosting the show with Indian playback singer Shweta Pandit.
Going by reader's comments, it appears that Paki readers/audiences are getting the "message" that they are not welcome.
Sample comment : Taimoor Khan
Can state of Pakistan stop this non sense once and for all. These artificial so called cultural exchanges have outlived their shelf life. Everyone needs to take the stock of ground realities.

Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s equivalent of our own Press Information Bureau (PIB) , reports “Pakistan has shared with the United States three dossiers containing evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism activities in the country’s volatile regions – including Balochistan, Karachi and tribal regions’:

Three dossiers: Evidence of India’s terror sponsorship shared with US

Chidanand Rajghatta of Times Of India reports that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s claims got short shrift from the US.
US snubs Pakistan’s bogus complaint about Indian interference in Balochistan ……………………

The Obama administration on Wednesday asked Pakistan to put in "additional efforts to target all terrorists in its territory," while declining to even acknowledge Islamabad's complaint about alleged Indian interference in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan.

Washington's public snub was delivered soon after a meeting between Secretary of State John Kerry and Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during which the Pakistani side reportedly presented three dossiers on "India's role in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan." But neither Kerry nor his aides acknowledged the dossier or the charges, and attempts to raise it at the daily state department briefing ended in embarrassment for Pakistan.
US State Department transcript dealing with the Kerry-Sharif meeting. Appears a dossier was indeed given but US is presently not inclined to say anything besides that such a document was given and trot out the usual “Do More” mantra this time to call on the Islamic Republic “for additional efforts to target all terrorists in its territory”:
John Kirby
Spokesperson
Daily Press Briefing
Washington, DC

October 21, 2015 ……………………………

MR KIRBY: …………………………… I also want to – hang on a second. I also want to provide a readout of his – the Secretary’s meeting with Prime Minister Sharif from Pakistan. They met this morning. The Secretary welcomed the prime minister back to Washington for his second visit since his election in 2013. The Secretary and the prime minister highlighted the multidimensional nature of the United States-Pakistan partnership and its importance for regional stability and security. Secretary Kerry thanked Prime Minister Sharif for Pakistan’s regional efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, especially in bringing to justice al-Qaida leadership and disrupting terrorist plots. Secretary Kerry recognized Pakistan’s efforts and sacrifices in targeting extremists in Zarb-e-Azb and other operations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and the two leaders discussed the need for additional efforts to target all terrorists in its territory.

They discussed the recent announcement to keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan beyond 2016, noting that an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process is the surest way to end violence and ensure lasting stability in Afghanistan and in the region. The Secretary thanked Prime Minister Sharif for Pakistan’s continued facilitation of reconciliation discussions between the democratically elected Afghan Government and members of the Taliban. Both leaders agreed to build on the ongoing U.S.-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue to advance progress in these and other areas.
QUESTION: Another subject. As far as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Washington is concerned, it’s at a critical time of his administration’s or regime’s domestic problems are on the rise, and ISIL and also al-Qaida and Talibans are also active in his country and recognize that. But now, new allies coming that the military’s involvement is more than in the past but during his coup at that time. My question is now: How safe are – as far as nuclear, so Pakistans are concerned, and also his administration?

MR KIRBY: Well, look, we recognize the challenges in that part of the world, and the Secretary was grateful for the opportunity to meet with the prime minister today. There’s a lot to talk about and it remains an important relationship. And there is much that Pakistan has done and can continue to do to help us get at the counterterrorism challenge there in the region. And we’re going to continue to hold regular discussions with Pakistan on a range of issues to include nuclear security. And Pakistan, I would note, is engaged with the international community on nuclear safety and security issues. I’d also note that they have a professional and dedicated security force that understands the importance of nuclear security.

So just like in so many bilateral relationships, there’s a range of levels here that we’re going to – that we engage on and we’ll continue to do so.

Yes.

QUESTION: The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif meeting with Kerry today – the Pakistani official handout said that Nawaz Sharif had informed Kerry about Indian involvement in destabilization of the tribal areas of Pakistan and in Balochistan. Is it correct that this – could you confirm that if this discussion was held or no?

MR KIRBY: I’m not going to get into the specifics of the discussion. I would just tell you that we believe – continue to believe that India and Pakistan stand to benefit from practical cooperation, and we encourage both India and Pakistan to engage in direct dialogue aimed at reducing tensions. The normalization of relations between Pakistan and India is vital to both countries and to the region, and steps that initiate closer regional trade and energy ties we believe will create jobs, lower inflation, and increase energy supply.

QUESTION: Also, any discussion with regard to the nuclear? Has he set any other demands made by the U.S. with regard to the nuclear safety?

MR KIRBY: I read out the meeting at the top of the briefing and I’m going to leave my comments to that. I’ve already addressed the nuclear security issue, and our recognition that the Pakistanis have a professional force engaged on that and they remain engaged with the international community on nuclear security. We believe that they believe in the importance of nuclear security issues.

Yes.

QUESTION: Following up, in your opening remarks, you said the two leaders discussed the need to take additional measures. What are these additional measures needs to be taken and against whom?

MR KIRBY: I won’t get into specifics, but obviously it remains a significant challenge, counterterrorism, and it’s something that we continue to want to partner with Pakistan on.

QUESTION: The Pakistani handout also refers about them submitting to U.S. three dossiers on India’s role in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan. Have you received those dossiers – three documents from Pakistanis?

MR KIRBY: I’m not aware that we have.

QUESTION: Can you take this question – confirm it or deny it?

MR KIRBY: I will take the question. I don’t know how much detail we’re going to be able to get into.

QUESTION: Just say yes or no. Have you received those documents from Pakistan or no?

MR KIRBY: I said I’ll take the question.

Yeah.

While I fully support current mood of denying any pakis a chance to earn money in India, if there is going to be any de-escalation in future it should strictly start with non pakjabis. Pakjabis are the most virulent in their hatred for India and they are the most interested group coming to India to enjoy life and earn money. Most of the artists and others coming to India are pakjabis. Hence as a first step of any possible de-escalation, only non pakjabis should get Indian visa if they want it. Pakjabis should be considered only if they behave for an extended time period then their visa can be considered.

Kashmir needs third party intervention, US most relevant: Nawaz - Dawn
The United States would be the most relevant third party that could intervene to help resolve outstanding issues including Kashmir between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif told US senators.

Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Bob Corker along with Ranking Member Senator Ben Cardin received the prime minister and his delegation at the Capitol Hill on Wednesday afternoon — the second day of his visit to Washington, said a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.

The premier briefed the meeting — which was attended by several senior members of the committee — about his recent peace initiative towards India announced in the UN General Assembly (UNGA) session.

Members of Senate noted the prime minister's proposal that given India’s resistance to bilaterally resolve outstanding issues including Kashmir, it would be imperative to have third party intervention for which the US would be most relevant, said the handout.

On the same day, Pakistan handed over three dossiers to US Secretary of State John Kerry on India’s involvement in subversive activities in the country.

Outlining his vision of a peaceful neighbourhood, Nawaz reiterated his government's commitment to remain engaged with the Afghan leadership to enhance mutual coordination in dealing with the common challenges of terrorism and promoting peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.

The prime minister was flanked at the meeting by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaz Aziz, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and Ambassador of Pakistan to the US Jalil Abbas Jilani.

Thanking the Senate committee for their consistent support to democracy, security cooperation and economic development in Pakistan, Nawaz briefed the members about his economic reforms agenda that led to reviving the economy and upgrading Pakistan's economic outlook in recent months, the statement said.

The prime minister also briefed members on the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate the Temporarily Dislocated Persons (TDPs) back in their homes in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) following the clearing of areas by successful military operations.

Appreciating the provision of counter-terrorism assistance by the US Congress, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that due to the successful operations of Pakistani security forces, militants' command and control infrastructure in Pakistan had been destroyed and the ability of militants to plan or conduct any major attack had been significantly diminished.

Responding to questions by members of the US Congress, the premier remarked that Zarb-i-Azb had achieved its initial targets and entered a decisive phase.

Members of the US Congress emphasised that Pakistan was an important country in the region and the US looked forward to engaging with Pakistan to advance the goals of regional peace and stability.

The senators also assured Nawaz of continued support by the US Congress in complimenting Pakistan's efforts to stimulate people-centred growth and eliminating militancy and extremism from the region.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is among the important standing committees of the US Congress with the mandate to oversee US foreign policy.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Washington on Tuesday for an official four-day visit. During the visit, the prime minister will hold discussions on wide-ranging issues of bilateral interest with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and various Cabinet members.

Nawaz Asked To "Approve" Sale Of "Paki White Elephants" Located In D.C.
PM Nawaz to approve sale of Pakistani buildings in Washington
WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – While Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Washington to discuss bilateral ties with United States President Barack Obama, during the visit he is likely to approve the sale of two Pakistan-owned buildings in Washington as well.

According to a statement a three member committee has already submitted an assessment report suggesting the premier to sale the buildings located on 2315 Massachusetts Avenue and another near Connecticut Avenue.

Privatisation Commission Chairman Mohammad Zubair, who was also a member of the committee along with current Pakistani US ambassador Jalil Abbas Jillani and former principal secretary to prime minster Nasir Mehmood Khosa, told newsmen that the two buildings had become redundant and the best option was to put them on sale.

He hinted that Prime Minister will either approve selling these buildings or may okay to rent them out.
There was an earlier press report, that these properties, heavily mortgaged, have found no buyers (a)due to restrictive covenants on the kind of buyers (b) deplorable physical conditions; some forumites had jokingly suggested that either they should be sold to Chini-blothers or converted into the Embassy Of Balochistan

Ring Da Mamala Hai,India Karo Kaaram
Ring Finger Dekh Lo,Given By Her Khasam= Hubby, lover and owner.
Ring= Tactical Nuke. House Burnt= Paki Nuke their own town to prove they possess Ring.

Apologies if this one was posted before, but the inimitable Tarek Fateh tells it like it is to a bunch of Indians about 'Aman ki Asha'. Mandatory viewing for all pinkos, this should be. I wonder if the Kashmiri muslim youth is for real, sounds too good to be true if he is. It begs the question then, why are Indians incapable of understanding this basic principle?

New York Times - U.S. Set to Sell Fighter Jets to Pakistan, Balancing Pressure on Nawaz Sharif
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is preparing to sell eight new F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan, senior American officials said, an overture intended to bolster a tenuous partnership despite persistent concerns about Islamabad’s ties to elements of the Taliban and quickly expanding nuclear arsenal.
The decision comes ahead of President Obama’s meeting on Thursday with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, which is to be dominated by the president’s decision to extend the American troop presence in Afghanistan and a quiet effort to get Mr. Sharif to halt the deployment of a new generation of tactical nuclear weapons.
Massa bending over backwards to "appease" Pakistan.
The Federation of American Scientists, a leading American group that monitors the spread of nuclear weapons, published a report on Wednesday that shows that Pakistan has expanded its arsenal to 110 to 130 warheads, up from a range of 90 to 110 four years ago.
It is unlikely that either side will talk publicly about nuclear weapons on Thursday, but Mr. Obama plans to raise the issue at length, according to administration officials. Selling Pakistan more arms, however, is an issue that is often discussed more publicly to signal that Pakistan is acting in its role as a “major non-NATO ally,” a designation Mr. Bush bestowed after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
So, the designation still remains in place in spite of Pak perfidy
The new aircraft, whose sale could be blocked by Congress, would add to Pakistan’s already sizable force of fighter jets — it has more than 70 F-16s and dozens of French and Chinese attack aircraft. But perhaps of equal importance to supporters and critics alike is the symbolic value of the sale to an ally whose relationship with the United States has been marked by long stretches of acrimony in recent years.
Probably, the detailed terms and conditions of this deal were already worked out during the ISI Chief's visit a few weeks ago.
The Obama administration is also looking for Pakistan to help bring the Taliban to peace talks ...../quote]
Confirmation that the Afghan policy has been "outsourced" to the Non-Nato Major Ally
In March, the House Foreign Affairs Committee put a hold on about $150 million in foreign military financing — aid from the United States that foreign allies could use to purchase American weapons and other military equipment, said American officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the issue has not yet been made public.
The committee said the cutters were not essential to fighting militants, the officials said. But in a letter sent in February to Secretary of State John Kerry, Representative Edward Royce of California, the committee’s chairman, and Representative Elliot L. Engel of New York, the ranking Democrat, outlined their broader concerns about Pakistan.
“We remain deeply concerned that Pakistan has failed to take meaningful action against key Islamist terrorist groups operating within its territory,” they wrote.
Maybe, Uncle will listen to Afghans on their concerns about Pakistan; maybe, India needs to call upon its friend in Congress

With reference to protests in POK (TIFWIW):

Recently my brother was going on a holiday to Leh area. He had a planned visit to Turtuk. I asked him to get a ground view from locals on their perception of India. More than 12 years ago, when I was there, I knew that the Indian Gov. was working hard in pampering the local populace to help them integrate with India after we captured it from Pakis. Even in 2003, there was at least a partial pro paki view there.

My brother went there and spoke to some older gents who he thought would have seen the days under Pakistan. He specifically asked the following (not in exactly same words):
a) Do you remember the time Turtuk was with Pakistan?
- Yes.
b) Do you miss being with Pakistan?
- No.
c) Is the living situation better in India or was it better in Pakistan?
- Beta, relatives come from the other side to visit us. We give them our old woolens. Situation is very bad there. No one is happy there. No jobs, nothing. But a lot of trouble.
___________________

It seems the message that things in Indian Kashmir is dramatically better has gotten across to the 'awam' of POK loud and clear and they are getting really impatient with Pakistan.

A similar impact is happening in India. The local Kashmiri is fairly well connected with people from POK. That POK folks are not well off and are unhappy is now loud and clear to the aam abduls. This whole Kashmiri "intefada" jihad and the gun based terrorism is under threat.

Pakistan may be trying to stir up Punjab but they are fast facing a hostile Kashmiri on both sides of the border in Kashmir.

I like the keyword here, "sell"
They should try and sell them some F-22 raptors next. (It'll take up their whole airforce budget)

I guess the Pakistanis are not giving any more orders to the chinese to supply more JF-17 Thunders hain ji?

Just usual behavior, shenanigans of Lahori Lallus. India ignoring them removes their rational for living.Paki are jumping Agge, Peeche, Oopar, Neeche, Daanye, Baanye , Din & Raat not knowing what to do. India not falling for Paki Hii Hii Talk to me has completely wiped out their mental Phatti/Plate. Indians talking to them is the mother milk of manhood and their H&D.
Modi Sarkar now hold the power to give Dementia to majority of Paki just by ignoring them, Added bonus may come in shape of our sickulars getting the same in this process.

Yes, in a nutshell, Pakistan needs India. It has no intrinsic identity.
