IPI gas pipeline not possible: says Iranian envoy to India
( Diplomatic art to fart on Paki face by Ummah Brother)
Jhujar Ji :

There are two reasons :

1. The Iran Gas deposits are in Southern Iran and Iran Imports Natural Gas from Turkmenistan. As such Iran would like to "Swop" this supply by Exporting Iran Gas and paying the Turmenistanis. As such they will either supply this "Swoped" Supply to India by either an undersea pipeline of as Liquified Natural Gas.

2. Cwapistan has no money to Pay Iran for the Natural Gas

It could also be possible that the Ex-Indian Navy Officer (Yadav?) has been kidnapped by the Taliban and delivered to Cwapistanis

Hafiz - Saeed Addresses Students At Prestigious Lahore University
Last year Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) was barred from organising an event on Balochistan and missing persons. The LUMS initially invited Mama Qadeer and Ustad Mir Muhammad Talpur to speak at a session and to interact with students there and with the youth of Lahore. LEAs pressurized the LUMS administration to cancel the event, 'Unsilencing Balochistan'.
And yet today it's not really surprising to see LeT/JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed, a globally declared terrorist, addressing students of the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
In Pakiland, ideological brainwashing goes hand in hand with "normal education".
Pakistan is still a venomous breeding ground for terrorists and jihadists. It may sound sad, but let's not forget this is a bitter truth as well.Hafiz Saeed is just a puppet on the front, the real masterminds of this venomous ideology of jihadism are those elements who had backed the so-called Afghan jihad and also declared the mass murderers as their "strategic assets".
f we do not consider Afghan Taliban to be the mass murderers of Afghan people we have no right to mourn the APS children. If we only consider the attackers of Mehran Base, Quaid-e-Azam International Airport and Lahore blasts terrorists but keep a soft corner and praise the attackers of Mumbai attacks as heroes of the nation, we can't play victim.
Zarb-e-Azab and NAP won't fool the masses with these inhumane policies.
One day Pakistani universities might replace the likes of Professor Shakil Auj and Dr Pervaiz Hoodbhoy with many Hafiz Saeeds producing many Saad Azizs in future.
s Mama Qadeer more dangerous and lethal for the mighty Pakistan or if it's a globally recognised terrorist Hafiz Saeed who is the real threat for our national security and future generations?
And this is the same "prestigious university" which recently trumpeted the fact that 19 of their chemistry students have been able to obtain admission in US Ivy League University for Doctorate Studies . And they expect Massa to give them student visas

I am curious to know as to what he said to the 'elite' LUMS students. It can't be anything but jihad against Hindus, destruction of India and the hoisting of the green flag over Lal Qila. But, any video or reporting of this talk would be useful.

Restriction: Pakistanis in Saudi can visit home only once in a year
RIYADH - Pakistani expats working in Saudi Arabia only be allowed to visit their country once in a year.
The Community Welfare Attache in the Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh has written a letter to the Saudi authorities inviting their attention towards restriction on Pakistani workers to visit home once in a year. The letter has sought resolution of the matter.
The embassy has also advised the Pakistani nationals in Saudi Arabia to contact Pakistan embassy in Riyadh if they are not being given permission by the Saudi authorities to visit home second time in a year. The Pakistani embassy has instructed the Pakistanis, who travel to Pakistan more than once a year, to contact the embassy.
The embassy has told Pakistanis that the employees have to submit their letters in the passport and permit companies to seek required permission. It should be noted that more than two millions Pakistanis are in Saudi Arabia. According to the data released by the Bureau of Immigration, Saudi Arabia took 522,750 migrant Pakistani workers in 2015 respectively.
Indispensable "Miskeens" or Modi-ji's Jadugiri ?
Unable to exercise conjugal rights in Saudi ?
Can the Paki embassy, in co-ordination with the Saudi immigration authorities, facilitate at least an "umra visa" for the spouse of the Paki miskeens so they are at least be able to fulfill their " conjugal rights" at least twice a year

Khulbhushan yadav was kidnapped by the taiban and then sold off to the fauj.
Kidnapping and ransom are an industry in Pakistan.
The ISI must have been on the lookout for indian nationals in and around chahbahar, and must have announced bounties to local traffickers / telebunnies.
Indian presence in Chahbahar must have sent the martial Pak faujis into a browning of the pants ceremony to begin with. Then omce they recovered from that they must have activated intel gathering and their usual haramigiri - sabotage, kidnapping, blackmail & ransom etc, since that is about all they can do with Iran. Iran is not Afghanistan that they can stage terror strikes everyday. But even in Afg, indian, afghan and sometimes international security personnel have fought off many a taliban-ISI joint venture attacks.
The whole afghan ring road system, electricity transmission lines system was done by Indian engineers, with ITBP providing security. They have through sheer resilience fought off many an attack, and got their work done!

How Mr clean Dirty Musharraf became a billionaire?
A million billion dollar question Has Rs2,156 million net cash in his offshore bank accounts
ISLAMABAD: Under the Terms of Reference (TORs), the commission of inquiry will be able to summon and question former military dictator Pervez Musharraf for allegedly big wealth and transferring huge money out of Pakistan in offshore accounts, a task which National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other investigating agencies couldn’t do in many years.
So, the "Commission of Inquiry" set up by Ganja will take "revenge" against Mushy? will the Fauj allow this precedent to be set ?
Despite having such huge chunk of amount in his offshore accounts, neither did any investigative agency nor did the accountability bureau question him how he got billions of rupees in his foreign accounts. However the commission of inquiry appointed by prime minister in the wake of Panama Leaks has a broader scope and powers which can question ex-dictator Pervez Musharraf from where he got billions of rupees which are kept in his offshore accounts.
There is no indication as to who funded him and how he became fabulously rich but the retired general had accumulated billions in offshore accounts besides the property that he had already purchased abroad or inside Pakistan.
No one "funded" him ! nothing financially could be done, without "commission" given to him through his minions . And don't forget the so-called rendition payments given to Pakistan (via Musharraf) by the C.I.A ! In this case, through his public relations skill (A.K.A gimmicks), he was able to fool all of the people for some time
Recap As Below !:
During the early months of his taking over as a military dictator following his coup against the Nawaz Sharif government, General Musharraf made his wealth public, which hardly contained any cash but only some plots in different parts of the country. Musharraf claimed to be the Mr Clean of Pakistan. How did he become a billionaire is a million dollar question? Owing to the broader scope of the commission of inquiry and its power mentioned in the TORs, the commission is fully empowered to summon him and ask him the details of his offshore accounts, a task which couldn’t be done by the accountability bureau and investigating agency.b]

Afghanistan says Kabul attack was planned by Haqqani network in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
Afghanistan has alleged that a recent deadly attack in Kabul this month was planned by the Haqqani network in Pakistan.
On April 19, Afghan Taliban-claimed attack against a security agency responsible for protecting senior government officials and VIPs, which killed 64 people and injured 347 others.
In a message to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had condemned the heinous attack and called for coordinated approach to eliminate the menace of terrorism. :((
“Investigation is underway but the initial evidence suggests the attack was planned by the Haqqani Network with the help of foreign circles in Pakistan,” deputy spokesperson for Afghan President Dawa Khan Meenpal told Radio Azadi.
According to Meenpal, some foreign intelligence circles had helped the network [to plan the attack].
People familiar with the situation know who he is referring to !
Claiming responsibility for the attack, Taliban had said three militants took part in the attack and that it was part of the group’s spring offensive.
The attack raised questions about the capability of the US-Nato trained Afghan intelligence agents to thwart such huge attacks in high security zone.

‘Retired generals sold ETPB land illegally’
LAHORE: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiqul Farooq says that board owns no commercial property in Balochistan, as its all land in the province had been sold by its two former heads, who also were retired military generals, during the Musharraf rule.He told Dawn the two retired military generals had declared the land as “unmanageable” during their tenures.
“In Balochistan, the ETPB had the commercial property worth billions on Jinnah Road in Quetta which was sold during the regimes of two retired generals,” he said.
“Their act caused a huge financial loss to the ETPB.”
He said it was shocking to know that trust’s commercial property had been sold illegally by declaring it “unmanageable”.
“I don’t have the detail of commercial property occupied illegally in these three provinces. Also, I don’t have information about the detail of the commercial property sold out in Quetta,” he explained.
So, will the Bad Sharif open this case, based on this press report based on his much trumpeted drive to "root out corruption !

‘Suicide bomber for sale’ in Lahore
LAHORE (Staff Report) – Lahore Police on Saturday took a man in custody after he was reported carrying a “suicide bomber for sale” banner.
The poster displayed by youth stated: “If any institution or agency needs a suicide bomber, they should contact me,” further adding a phone number. Media reports suggested that the man was carrying this poster as a sign of protest against unemployment. Reportedly, he has been searching for a job and after repeated failures, finally tested this tactic as a last resort to draw attention to his economic condition. Though still unemployed, through his ‘efforts’ he did manage to cause panic in the local police station.
The accused was identified as Waqar Ahmed (22), a resident of Shahdara town. “He was arrested near Davis road”, Station House Officer (SHO) Qila Gujjar Singh Nasir Khan told media.
“Mr. Waqar has been held on charges of terrorism”, he said.
According to the police officials such a protest was unlawful and considered as ‘an act of terrorism’.
However, the accused was released late night.
In the past, terror groups including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and other militant organisations recruited thousands of unemployed youth from different areas of country against heavy amounts.
Some reports claimed that each suicide bomber’s family was paid over $10,000, which is considered a very high amount in troubled tribal areas of Pakistan.
Sixty percent of Pakistan’s youth is unemployed, who have been at disadvantage due to rapidly increasing population, poverty and decades-long terrorist strikes in the country.
n 2015, Pakistan signed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, under which China will invest $46 billion in Pakistan for building infrastructure and power houses.
The project will link China to Arabian sea via a network of roads in Pakistan and ports of Gawadar and Karachi. Pakistan expects an economic revival and better employment chances for its population after implementation of the project.
If nothing else, this unemployed youth should be credited in using his imagination to draw the plight of the voiceless at the time retired and non retired jernails and kernels are minting millions. And the PM of this country had to dash in the middle of the night to London to consult his lawyer, "doctor", ex president and fellow fraudster to plot his strategy !

Kabul set to launch efforts to ‘isolate’ Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
Kabul intends to launch a concerted diplomatic campaign to isolate Pakistan in the international arena as well as in the region, a spokesperson for the Afghan president said on Saturday.
“Pakistan still supports groups involved in fighting in Afghanistan,” Dawa Khan Meenpal, deputy spokesperson for President Ashraf Ghani told the media in Kabul.
The comments came in reaction to the April 19 attack in which 64 people were killed.
The spokesperson alleged that the deadliest attack yet in Kabul was “planned by the Haqqani network in Pakistan.”
“Afghanistan is reviewing its policy on Pakistan,” he said, according to Radio Azadi.
“Pakistan is in the state of isolation. We want to use diplomatic initiative to isolate Pakistan at regional and international levels and to tell the world community where terrorists are and which country and intelligence (agency) support them,” Meenapal said.
He said Kabul had always asked Pakistan to seriously fight terrorism, but “they have backed terrorist groups and facilitated them.”
Kabul attack, harbinger of deteriorating ties
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had condemned the “heinous” attack in a message to President Ashraf Ghani and called for “coordinated approach” to eliminate terrorism.
Ganja is only paying lip service- diplomatese ! ; he has his own problems at home
Meenpal said Pakistan had “always allowed its soil to be used by those who fight (against) the Afghan government.”
The spokesman for Pakistan’s foreign ministry’s did not respond to a text message when asked about the country’s response.
Afghan Taliban had claimed responsibility and said three bombers had taken part in the attack and that it was part of the group’s Spring Offensive.
Afghanistan and India should co-ordinate their efforts against Pakistan ; Afghanistan should involve the IOC and seek their help as victim of terrorism from a brotherly Islamic nation

Only In Pakistan - Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal rewards personal servants in the name of CPEC !
ISLAMABAD (Online) – Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal allegedly rewarded one of his personal servants in the garb of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
According to document available with Online, the federal minister has appointed his servant as an “Envoy” on CPEC, :D besides a hefty payment of Rs15 million to him.
Is it possible that the "verbal agreement"calls for kickbacks to the Hon. Minister
Sources said that the PML-N minister has recruited his personal servant Asim, on the post of assistant in his ministry, which was deputed to monitor the affairs of ministry and other things.
Nothing new here! The brotherly country of Saudia does this all the time . And Pakistan is keen to follow in the steps of the elder (Ummah ) brother !
“Asim was recruited without advertising the post in national daily newspapers,” the sources told Online, adding that the said servant of federal minister had to look after and monitor the election campaign of federal minister Ahsan Iqbal in Narowal.
The documents, which were presented in the parliament house, reveal that more than Rs 1 million have been spent on the advertising campaign of CPEC since last year.
The minister was unavailable for his comments, when contacted by Online.
One more so-called anti-corruption file should be opened by the Moochar Sharif !

Andhar Nagri Chaupat Raj ! - Mega corruption revealed in Water and Power Ministry.
SLAMABAD (Web Desk) – An embezzlement of over Rs50 billion has been revealed in the Ministry of Water and Power while top officials including Chairman WAPDA and Secretary Water and Power involved in mega corruption.
According to secret documents presented in Public Accounts Committee, the WAPDA chairman and Water and Power secretary could not take back a loan more than Rs50(That is less than one dollar !!!)owed by KEPCO since two decades.
KEPCO, in 1996, had taken loan from different sources on guarantee provided by government of Pakistan but in 2002 ministry top officials made amendment in loan-agreement to give benefit to the company.
The government, as a guarantor, is paying interest on loan taken by KEPCO, from national exchequer.
On January 19 this year, the Finance ministry inquired the Secretary Water and Power about this issue who announcing his disconnection with the issue advised to send the matter to Public Accounts Committee.
BRF should open a separate thread : " Pakiland Corruption "

Fighting brekas out between Afghan & Pak armies in Nangarhar - DT
Kabul: The Afghan border police have claimed that the Paksitani forces captured a border checkpoint in Gustha district of Nangarhar province, Afghan media quoting officials reported on Sunday. An official on condition of anonymity said that an Afghan soldier was killed and two others were wounded during the clashes between Afghan and Pakistani forces. Nangarhar is in the provincial capital of Jalalabad and surrounding districts including fearful tribal elders, Taliban militants, some from the Islamic State IS advocates and a number of Salafi preachers who find themselves under increasing pressure to provide ideological and practical support to IS, which most here know by its Arabic acronym, Daesh. Nangarhar has had its share of insurgency-linked security problems since 2001 but the Taliban has never been particularly strong in this part of eastern Afghanistan.{So, PA is fighting on behalf of the Taliban?}

Xi calls for vigil against religious infiltrations from abroad
BEIJING: Chinese president Xi Jinping has asked Communist Party cadre to be on guard against religious infiltrators from foreign countries. He also said that different religions must be practised in line with the Chinese culture, and within the bounds of Chinese law and policies.

"We must resolutely guard against overseas infiltrations via religious means and prevent ideological infringement by extremists," Xi said addressing a conference on religion in Beijing on Saturday, the official Xinhua reported on Sunday.
He told the party cadre, "We should guide and educate the religious circle and their followers with the socialist core values, and guide the religious people with ideas of unity, progress, peace and tolerance".

Will no longer seek Pakistan’s help in peace talks: Afghan president

ISLAMABAD: In a major shift in his policy, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Monday said Kabul will no longer seek Pakistan’s role in the ongoing peace talks with Taliban.

“Pakistan had promised to aid peace talks but we no longer expect Islamabad to bring Afghan Taliban to the negotiating table,” Ghani said while addressing a joint session of the Afghan parliament. The Afghan president’s rare address to the joint session was aired live on state and private TV channels.

“We want Pakistan to honour its commitment and take military action against the Afghan Taliban. We want them to handover the Taliban to the Afghan government so we can try them in Sharia courts,” Ghani said.

Describing the Taliban as ‘ignorant’, the Afghan president said there is no difference between good terrorists and bad terrorists and that Pakistan should act as a responsible government. Ghani also labelled the Islamic State, Haqqani network and certain segments of the Taliban as ‘enemies’ of Afghanistan.

Ghani’s comments come as the relationship between the two neighbouring countries deteriorates once again following a deadly attack on Afghan security agency headquarters in Kabul on April 19.

An Afghan presidential spokesperson accused the Haqqani Network of planning the attack in Pakistan with help from foreign intelligence circles. Afghan Taliban had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Following the Taliban’s refusal to join the dialogue, President Ghani has been under pressure to change his policy on peace and reconciliation with the militant group.

Last month, the Taliban refused to sit face-to-face with the government in Kabul under the quadrilateral process of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the United States.

According to reports, China is working with Pakistan and the United States to broker peace talks to end a Taliban insurgency that has raged for 15 years in Afghanistan.

Who is Tarek Fatah?
Tarek Fatah, a former leftist student leader and a practising journalist from Canada, is one of the most vociferous critics of Pakistan- the country where he was born
New Delhi: After writing a book titled The Jew is not my Enemy, his next book is called The Hindu is not my Enemy.
The titles and the themes explored would not be ordinarily deemed provocative—except that the author in question is a Pakistani born Canadian.
Many Indians seem to love him.
Why? Because he is one of the most vociferous critics of the country where he was born—i.e. Pakistan. And he is anything but an apologist or sympathiser for or of the radical Islamist.
Sample this:
“Forget about Pakistan. At some stage, it will wither away. At some stage, Balochistan has to secede. It is the fifth civil war they are fighting against the Pakistani military. The Pakistani military is an industrial mafia that controls everything from cereals to trucks to missiles to magazines to banks. It is the most vivid example of what US President (Dwight) D. Eisenhower talked about the military-industrial complex.
“Bangladesh, on the other hand, is an incredibly exciting place to be because that is where the Muslim vs the Islamist fight is taking place....”
This is a excerpt from an interview Fatah gave to The Times of India on a visit to India in 2013.
And this is from his blog: “I write as a Muslim whose ancestors were Hindu. My religion, Islam, is rooted in Judaism, while my Punjabi culture is tied to that of the Sikhs. Yet I am told by Islamists that without shedding this multifaceted heritage, if not outrightly rejecting it, I cannot be considered a true Muslim.”
Born in Pakistan in 1949, Fatah was a leftist student leader in the 1960s and 1970s.
It was in these decades that he was twice imprisoned by successive military rulers of Pakistan. In 1977, he was charged with sedition by General Zia-ul Haq and barred from being a journalist in the country. In 1987, he moved to Canada where he has been active in journalism.
His own introduction to himself goes like this on his blog: “I am an Indian born in Pakistan, a Punjabi born in Islam; an immigrant in Canada with a Muslim consciousness, grounded in a Marxist youth.”
He also claims that he convinced the Indian Govt and/or the Delhi Administration to change the name of Aurangzeb Road

Satellite for SAARC: Pakistan’s Missed Opportunity - Ajay lele, IDSA Comment
Recently, Pakistan’s high commissioner in Delhi Abdul Basit announced that the peace process between India and Pakistan stands suspended. Over the years the India-Pakistan bilateral talk process has been more like a sinusoidal curve with crests and troughs, but not reaching to any definitive conclusions. Almost for the last three decades, the Pakistani military leadership/Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) has directly or indirectly ensured that civilian governments would not be able to transform peace talks into a sustainable process. Surprisingly, in its dealings with India, Pakistan has been so myopic that it has not found any genuine gesture for constructive engagement useful. The latest instance in this regard is Pakistan’s decision to pull out of India’s proposal for joint satellite development for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations.

In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced India’s decision to develop (and gift) a satellite to benefit all SAARC member countries in different fields like weather data exchanges, disaster management, telecommunication and tele-medicine. The work on this satellite has already begun at the Indian Space research Organisation (ISRO), and the satellite is expected to be launched by the end of 2016. After remaining indecisive about this project for long, Pakistan has finally decided to opt out of the SAARC satellite project. Now, India would launch this satellite not as a satellite for SAARC, but as a South Asia satellite.

Pakistan’s decision may not be totally surprising given the current chill in the India-Pakistan relationship. The initial discussions on this project were progressing in a constructive fashion with Pakistan. However, Pakistan subsequently made a technical and financial help offer to India for the construction of the satellite. This was not accepted by India, which could be one of the main reasons for Pakistan opting out of this project. Obviously, Pakistan has missed an opportunity to develop ‘orbital cooperation’ with India in spite of having ‘terrestrial confrontation’.

On the other hand, it appears that China is keen to join hands with India for a proposed ‘BRICS Constellation of satellites’. BRICS is a group of states that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Amongst these five, Russia, India, and China are space-faring states with very successful space programmes. The proposal is to develop a remote sensing satellite constellation for BRICS countries. More than a year ago, China and Russia had also proposed to establish a global international navigation system based on China’s Bei-Dou (Compass) and Russia’s GLONASS satellite navigation constellations. The aim is to make this constellation available to the BRICS grouping as well as the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Already, under a bilateral arrangement, India is a user of the Russian GLONASS system. India is also expected to join the SCO shortly. It may also be noted that Modi has already expressed a desire to offer the services of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) to neighbouring states. Regrettably, however, Pakistan is missing an opportunity to engage India in the space arena when many other states including China are keen to do so.

The complex nature of ties between India and Pakistan is known. What Pakistan needs to understand is that its relationship with India is central to stability in the region and hence it needs to work around the differences to ensure regional stability. Pakistan is stuck in the maze of extreme positions, like only accepting a composite dialogue route and refusing to talk on terror unless the Kashmir issue is resolved as per UN resolutions. All such demands essentially push the dialogue process to a dead-end. Pakistan needs to realize that 21st century diplomacy is not either-or diplomacy, sometimes it could have paradoxical contexts too. There is a need to work in the new environment by identifying areas for cooperation which were previously unheard of or unthinkable. Modi’s offer on the SARRC satellite was one such attempt.

Today, the US and Russia are showcasing ‘space maturity’ by setting aside differences and cooperating in the outer space arena. Despite having an uneasy past (and present) of diplomatic relations, Russia and the US have a history of cooperation in the outer space arena. They are found utilising opportunities offered by the technological revolution in space to the best of their advantage. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin orbited the Earth to become the first man in space and Russia celebrates the day as Cosmonauts Day. On April 12, 2016, on the 55th anniversary of Gagarin's flight, Putin spoke by video link with astronauts from the US and Russia aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He highlighted the willingness of both the states to cooperate closely in space, despite various differences on Earth.

Post the Cold War, with the harmonization of relations, the US and Russia have begun an era of collaboration is outer space. In December 1993, along with other states, the US welcomed Russia to join the most ambitious project in space in recent times, namely, the International Space Station. Since then, both these states have contributed a lot towards establishing this station, with continuous human presence for more than a decade. Since 2010, the US has been totally dependent on Russia for transporting its astronauts to this station, after having wound up the Space Shuttle programme. For the last six years, the Russian Soyuz craft is taking and getting back US astronauts to and from the space station.

The Syria catastrophe and the Ukraine/Crimea crisis have caused a significant deterioration in Russia-US relations. Yet, both states have not allowed this bitterness to spread to their cooperative relationship in outer space. While the Space Station can be considered a scientific experiment, the two states have not shied away from cooperating in the strategic realm too. The Atlas-V rocket used by US agencies to launch military satellites has significant dependence on Russian RD-180 rocket engines. The US is not in a position to manufacture these engines indigenously, at least until 2019. Today, Russia is supplying these engines to the US.

Pakistan needs to learn from the US, Russian and Chinese examples. Space Security is an issue for all major states, but at the same time states are not shying away from collaborating in this arena. The SAARC satellite was an opportunity for Pakistan to display its enthusiasm for space cooperation with India, but probably its strategic calculations ‘jammed’ its vision. For its part, India needs to appreciate the fact that in the 21st century actions like ‘gifting’ of a satellite to SAARC and making an ‘advertisement’ about it does not go well with the smaller states, given that it may be seen as a symptom of the Raj syndrome!

Water Politics In Pakistan
Islamabad and its Petty Water Politics
The Indus River Valley has been a perennial source of water for the land of Pakistan. The river system has helped in establishing an agricultural economy with the backbone of an effective irrigation system. Research shows that Pakistan is heavily dependent on water as far as the economy is concerned. Major water from all over Pakistan is diverted to Islamabad where major part of the Muslim Pakistani Punjabi people lives and control Pakistan.
The Indus water treaty of 1960 provided Pakistan with the principle river of Indus and its tributaries like Jhelum, Chenab and Sutlej joined with Shyok, Gilgit, Astor, Siran and Kabul. The two other major sources of water include the closed basin in the Kharan desert consisting of the streams like Pishin Lora and Maskel as well as the Makran coastal basin consisting of rivers like Malir, Hub, Porali, Kud, Hingol, Nai, Mashai, Dasht, Nihing and Kech. The major water reservoirs include Terbela dam, Mangla dam and Chashma barrage. It cannot be doubted that the country utilised these water resources along with the available underground water to develop an agrarian economy.
. The day India decides to use water as a "political weapon", Pakistan will be in deep trouble !
However, the utilisation of water has been quite irresponsible over the years. In the bid to generate hydroelectric power and to fuel irrigation and domestic usage of water – the water levels are fast reducing. The extremes of temperature and lack of planning by the government has deteriorated the water condition in the country. The country is already feeling the pinch with extreme shortage of water ... Instead of objectively looking at the water problem, India becomes a convenient scape goat being an upper-riparian state !
The water loss in the process of irrigation has only added to the existing problems. Incessant and luxurious use of water by the common people has also been a major factor. However, there have been protests about the water being hoarded up by the mafias. The central major city of Islamabad enjoys enough water while the rural areas suffer.
The farmers are unable to produce enough crops and the orchards are being affected as well. Baluchistan is purposely not given water in order to eradicate the Baluchi. According to research, the provincial capital of Quetta might run out of water in a very few years. It is a cause of concern for the country in particular and the world in general as it is tipped to claim the life and livelihood of a number of people. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revealed alarming statistics about the water condition in Pakistan. South Asia expert Michael Kugelman from the Washington-based Woodrow Wilson Center has clearly identified three major causes leading to the water crisis – poor management, increasing population density and climate change.
Some drastic measures need to be taken by the government in order to deal with the issue and ensure sustainable development. The water and energy ministry has expressed their alarming concern for the crisis at hand but little solution has been devised in this regard leading to panic among the general population.

PAF’s former officer, daughter-in-law gunned down in Peshawar
PESHAWAR (Staff Report) –Pakistan Air Force (PAF) former officer along with his daughter-in-law shot dead in Peshawar on Monday.
As per details, unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on a car, killing PAF’s former officer Sabir Hussain and his daughter-in-law, while his grandson remained safe in the incident.
The suspects managed to flee from the scene.
According to sources, slain Sabir Hussain’s son is working in an intelligence agency.
Security officials have launched an investigation into the matter after cordoning of the entire area.
IMO, these are targeted revenge killings by the TTP, as a result of Paki fauj "operations" in FATA; bound to increase in the near future, specially in Immy- run province of KP

Ex Mrs Imran Khan Flirting With Jamaat -E- Islami ?
LAHORE (Staff reporter) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s former wife and TV anchor Rehman Khan on Sunday attended Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) sit-in at Mall Road Lahore.
Talking to a private news channel, Reham said that she would support anyone who would raise voice against corruption, adding that JI should start corruption free Pakistan movement from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
“Ameer JI Senator Siraj-ul-Haq never face any corruption allegation so we can say him a corruption free leader,” Reham said. She emphasised that practical steps against corruption should be taken so that every party should be held accountable without any discrimination.
This "publicity hungry Paki celebrity" will do anything (including going under the burkha !) to keep herself in the Aam Abdul's eye,- attending India-Pak cricket match - and including "flirting" with the Jamaatis, if this could help her in finding a new "sugar daddy", after all unmarried and /or divorced females are not looked upon kindly in Malsi societies !

Will no longer seek Pakistan’s help in peace talks: Afghan president
http://tribune.com.pk/story/1091321/wil ... president/
ISLAMABAD: In a major shift in his policy, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Monday said Kabul will no longer seek Pakistan’s role in the ongoing peace talks with Taliban.“Pakistan had promised to aid peace talks but we no longer expect Islamabad to bring Afghan Taliban to the negotiating table,” Ghani said while addressing a joint session of the Afghan parliament. The Afghan president’s rare address to the joint session was aired live on state and private TV channels.“We want Pakistan to honour its commitment and take military action against the Afghan Taliban. We want them to handover the Taliban to the Afghan government so we can try them in Sharia courts,” Ghani said.Describing the Taliban as ‘ignorant’, the Afghan president said there is no difference between good terrorists and bad terrorists and that Pakistan should act as a responsible government.
Afghan Taliban had claimed responsibility for the attack.Following the Taliban’s refusal to join the dialogue, President Ghani has been under pressure to change his policy on peace and reconciliation with the militant group.Last month, the Taliban refused to sit face-to-face with the government in Kabul under the quadrilateral process of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the United States.According to reports, China is working with Pakistan and the United States to broker peace talks to end a Taliban insurgency that has raged for 15 years in Afghanistan.Meanwhile, expressing anger at Ghani’s remarks Taliban described Afghan rulers as “slaves” and said they have been “imposed by John Kerry” on the Afghan people.“The rulers should face the fate like Dr Najeeb,” Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said while referring to public hanging of the Communist leader in 1996.

Dawood Ibrahim's leg will be amputated because of life threatening gangrene. I for one would be very happy to see his photographs with his leg amputated.

In Telugu we say "kuLLi kuLLi chavaali". I want him to live a long life everyday suffering with utmost pain.
