Gotta empathize with Pakis here in what is a very reasonable and honorable idea. I have been there, done that myself. I decided not to enter into a race for Angelina Jolie because it would disturb the balance of romance in the world.

India’s nuclearisation of Indian Ocean will create instability in region: Sartaj Aziz
ISLAMABAD: Advisor to PM Nawaz on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has made it clear that it is the misconception of India that it would be safe from arms race while India wants to nuclearize Indian Ocean.

While expressing his views over the adjourned motion move in Senate here at today, Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan has expressed its concerns over the recent missile test by India while India want to spread instability in the region to join arms race.

India wants to nuclearize Indian Ocean but Pakistan would present a resolution in General Assembly to stop India from nuclear activities in Indian Ocean. Sartaj added.

He further stated that Pakistan nuclear capability is recognized at International level  and Pakistan wants peace in the region but our desire for peace must not be considered as weakness.

Sartaj elaborated that Pakistan is not oblivious from its defense and we are fully aware about our defense needs and requirements while Pakistan would meet its defense needs without joining arms race.

Talking about nuclear supply group membership, he made it clear that India would not be given any exception by Pakistan to become nuclear supply group member while Pakistan is in contact with all 49 countries of nuclear supplier group and effective lobbing is being made by Pakistan in this regard.
The "challenge" for Pakistan is to figure out how to finance a second strike nuclear response without going into bankruptcy mode.

For Sartaj Aziz I have a perfect solution. India has already declared that it will not use nuclear weapons against a nation that is not armed with nuclear weapons. Simble, pukis disarm and presto, all very happy. :D

Afghan Taliban refuses ceasefire in Ramadan

1. Pakistan is "angry" that Mullah Mansour was droned to death.

2. Pakistan tells "Afghan Taliban " to be angry as well

3. Afghan Taliban implements this " anger mode " by refusing ceasefire in the holy month of Ramadan.

4. Pakistan is now happy

5. Pakistan will now say that it has no control over Afghan Taliban actions

Pakis Attempt To Toe Chinese Line Iran's Regarding Chahbahar Port

Indo-Iran Chahbahar Port: Why India is bound to be disappointed
BEIJING: The recent Indo-Iran deal to develop the strategic Chabahar Port is part of India’s “larger geo-strategic calculations” to gain access to the Middle East and Central Asia and to counter Pakistan-China’s plan to develop Gwadar port, a media report said in Beijing today.
“Actually, Chabahar is just the tip of the iceberg of India’s geostrategic ambitions. Besides building new berths and upgrades to Chabahar, what interests New Delhi more is a comprehensive scheme that can reshape India’s geopolitics to the northwest and extend its influence further into the Middle East, Central Asia and the Trans-Caucasus,” an article in the state-run Global Times said today.
To this end, India has recently committed USD 400 million in steel to construction of the railway connecting Chabahar and Zahedan, near Afghan border, the report said.
Although New Delhi ostensibly highlights economic considerations, such as facilitating trade along the International North-South Transport Corridor and extracting minerals, natural gas and oil from the region, its larger geo-strategic calculations and ambitions are obvious,” it said.
A direct gateway through Pakistan provides the shortest and the most economical access for India to enter Afghanistan and Central Asia,” it said.

In other words, continue to be a hostage to Paki blackmail threats !
However, due to long-standing mistrust, Islamabad is reluctant to grant India access.
The sea-land route of Chabahar Port is designed to bypass Pakistan. With the new route, some Indian strategists suggest that India can take further advantage of its ties with Iran and Afghanistan and gain new leverage and positioning while reducing Pakistan’s political and economic influence in the region,” the report said.
“Besides bypassing the overland blockage, India also views its investment in Chabahar as a counterweight against Pakistan’s Gwadar Port, a Chinese-funded deep sea port 72 km east of Chabahar,” it said.
China and Pakistan are currently building a USD 46 billion economic corridor linking Pakistan’s Gwadar port with Xinjiang to improve connectivity between the two countries.

“Although India’s expectations of Chabahar and the sea-land route are running high, especially following the lifting of international financial sanctions against Iran, major challenges remain.
India may not be able to meet its generous offers and high-sounding rhetoric due to the following reasons,” it said.

1.Iran may not always align itself with India’s geostrategic goals.
2.China is also crucial to Tehran’s core interests.
3. Iran never publicly articulated its opposition to the Sino-Pakistani project in Gwadar. Instead, it had aided the project by providing fresh water and fuel,” it said.

So the Pakis are dependent on the Iranis for water and fuel in Gwadar ; these two vital liquids in desperately short supply there !
4. China is Iran’s biggest importer of the Oil and Iran will never want to annoy China against India.

5. Iran may again face US sanctions over its missile programme and the trade with Iran and through Iran may again go into doldrums.

6. Chahbahar is not as a deep sea port as Gwadar port of Pakistan is and the heavily loaded ships may not anchor at Chahbahar unlike Gwadar.

7. India may not invest as much in cash starved Chahbahar as China is investing in Gwadar.

8. Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics may not support India as much as they may China in their economic goals.

9. India’s route to CAR states and Afghanistan through Chahbahar is much longer than the both Gwadar Port and the China itself hence reducing the time and money both for Pakistani and Chinese products.

10. The developing geo strategic situation vis a vis India heavily aligning with US and US going against Iran may trouble the Indo-Iran equation in future.

11. Relations between Pakistan and Iran may develop in future after removal of the bilateral misunderstandings and economic connectivity may flourish after Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline and Iranian oil flowing through CPEC projects to China may force Iran to reconsider it’s strategic alignment with India.

Items 1 to item 11 are "wish list" of Paki Anal-ists and meant to convey an impression of "Our Gwadar Is Superior To Your Chahbahar

Pakistan To Go Ahead And Built A Nuclear Reactor In Karachi In Spite Of Warnings By Experts !

China to build state of the art Nuclear Unit K-3 at Karachi
KARACHI: China and Pakistan are engaged in yet another state of the art project at the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant K3.
Construction is expected to start next month on the third unit at the K3 plant – the Karachi nuclear power plant using a reactor developed by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), the China Daily reported.
The plant is being built by CNNC using Hualong One, its own third-generation nuclear reactor design.
CNNC spokesman Pan Jianming said on Monday it is the second nuclear power project in Pakistan to use the Hualong One technology, after construction started at the K2 plant in August last year.
“Hualong One was developed based on very mature technologies and the project is going very smoothly. It will help ease power shortages in the Karachi region after completion,” Pan told a forum in Fuqing, Fujian Province, where the Hualong One pilot project is based.
China National Nuclear Power, a CNNC subsidiary, currently has 14 nuclear reactors in operation, with 11 under construction in China.
Pakistan has been denied the civil nuclear technology by the world (so the "world" must have a reason for such a denial and China must be considered a "rogue" nation to violate "world" opinion !) however China has again proved to be Pakistan’s all weather friend which is ready to support Pakistan in every thick and thin.

Karachi Nuclear Power Plants K2 and K3 are at least 12 meters higher than the sea level and the greatest Tsunami alert for Karachi is almost 2.5 meters high sea waves.
However some anti national elements in disguise of NGOs are spreading false propaganda against the Karachi Nuclear Power plants.

The Fukushima example is there ! Scientists have stated that climate change may result on more Tsunamis; is it not better to err on the side of caution in such matters !!

China and Pakistan are also in harmony over blocking the Indian bid to enter in the Nuclear Supplier Group :(( (NSG).

This is budget of Punjabistan and not Pakistan: Bilawal Bhutto
BZbutra On Bakinomoney Breaking Budget
SLAMABAD: While lambasting at government for not presenting public friendly budget, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto alleged that budget for next fiscal year 2016-17 is an attempt to break federation. As per details, Bilawal Bhutto said in his tweet message that it seems that budget has been designed to break the federation and we reject one unit budget for Punjabistan.Budget have also been rejected by opposition parties terming it as disappointing and said that no effective steps have been taken by government to provide relief to the poor people of Pakistan.Opposition leader Khurshid Shah and JI Ameer Siraj ul Haq have also expressed their concerns over the budget saying that government has failed to resolve the issues of people in next fiscal year budget. It is also worthy to mention here that Sindh, Baluchistan and KPK have raised objections of allocating little funds for developmental projects as compared to Punjab.

Pakistan Turkey Defence and Security ties further strengthened
...as Turkish Navy is going to upgrade three Agosta Khalid submarines and an agreement is likely to be singed this month.
T-129 multi-role attack helicopters would be bought by Pakistan. The decision had been taken by both countries defense ministers during the last meeting. Sources added that four ADA class stealth warships would also be received by Pakistan from Turkey.
In their (useless ) quest for = = , the Paki Army ( which is the only army in the world which has a state of it's own! ) will go to any length, even eat grass (as predicted by megalomaniac ZAB ) to maintain that facade !

KARACHI: A large number of paramilitary troops surrounded the house of senior parliamentarian and leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Farooq Sattar on Tuesday as part of an operation to arrest the party’s Sindh Assembly member Kamran Farooqui.Quoting unnamed sources in the Sindh Rangers, Geo News said the raid was part of an operation carried out after fulfilling all legal requirements.Rangers said a letter was written to the Sindh Assembly speaker, informing him that the MPA was wanted in an investigation. As many as 30 paramilitary troops barricaded three streets around the house located in the Peer Ilahi Baksh (PIB) Colony of the metropolis. However, Sattar, who was present inside his residence, told Geo News by telephone that there was no criminal present in his house.“I am unable to contact the Director General Rangers, I have sent him a message,” he said. Farooq Sattar said the Rangers surrounded his house for over an hour before they left the area.

But, they cannot complain. After all, it is they who insist that Afghanistan cannot do trade with India through Pakistan.

I recall Musharraf talking dreamily about Pakistan being the hub of trade routes, energy pipelines etc. about a decade back. Much, much earlier, Muhammad Ali Jinnah assured his West Asian counterparts that Pakistan would be the 'radiating' hub for science, technology, medicine etc to other Islamic nations.

It is: Djinn Science, Islamic Technology (watercar, brain.pk & Axact), Pir concoctions & decoctions (Islamic medicine), and in addition it also offers Islamic Terror as it's IT contribution. Pakistan is indeed radiating Islam. So much so that it also now has two Islamic neighbours.

Pakistan would be the 'radiating' hub ... to other Islamic nations
SS - As the sole Islamic nuclear weapons state, Pakistan is the 'radiation' hub to other Islamic nations. Dr AQK established the Walmart of proliferation hub to trade 'soccer balls' to all kinds of nations.

Everything about Pakistan is geo-strategic!

The Pakistanis are confused between Chitradurga & Amaravathi; just like Bangalore, Kerala. Some time back Adrian Levy wrote an article in Foreign Policy magazine about India secretly building a thermonuclear bomb manufacturing facility very secretively. The Pakistanis have let their fertile imagination run riot in the general direction of South India to link up every thing !!

First there was the paki's much vaunted but now very much diminished hope of strategic depth business in afghanistan and then their self declared and self propagated vital " geographical position " construct, both of which they desperately wanted to monetize and leverage for use as blackmail to extract concessions from India and the US.

They seem to have well and truly, effed themselves, as usual. The true implications of the CPEC is only just beginning to hit them. They are essentially a nation of low level and menial service providers, first to the amrekis and now increasingly, to the chinese.

The Pakistanis have been gloating about their strategic location for a very long time now.
In the past, the USSR wanted access to warm waters via afghanistan, via pakistan.
China could access the persian gulf via them (trading with the sunni gulf kingdoms via a shia Iran is problematic)
And they could block india's access to CAR, afghanistan & Iran.

They were quite overjoyed! The prospect of pulling one over india gave these guys immense pleasure!

Now, the reality of CPEC is well know to everyone, just a brave face is being kept for the media. In one swift move Modi has revived the moribund chabahar port (again kept moribund by the UPA), and pakistani delusions have come crashing down.
The pakistani's reality is that their country is unstable, Iran is emerging in a big way - just look at the tens of billions of dollars in investment that seem to be pouring in, and all economic and therefore political clout will pass via iran. Afghanistan is about to break free from Pakistan's stranglehold forever! Pakistan is stuck with the lizard's CPEC scam, where all they'll get to do is fix tyre punctures and serve wimmen, tea & polk flied lice to the cheeni truckers.

The pak fauj was never interested in economic development anyways, (if they ever did, they would not be hostile to India). They were only interested in a power play sho-shaa vis-a-vis india. They thought they will have india dancing around their fingers once india built a transit route via them. Sonia & party almost did that. This myopic geostrategy by the congress almost lost the game for India!
Then the pakis could get their sadistic pleasure by harassing india, and to add some salt to the wounds, make money off transit rights like they've done for the US. I am pretty sure, they had started making grandiose plans to spend all the wealth they were going to acquire soon. Just see the change in the tenor of their TV talk shows from 2-3 years ago and now. One can't help but noticing the elaborate boasts and grandiose plans then, vs the unending rona dhona now. What a hollow boast it has been by them! India and the world has understood & watched their pain as they've eaten grass to keep up a very poor facade. What a sorry figure these poor pak faujis cut! Everyone knows, there is no hope for Pakistan as long as the Pak Fauj runs that country, and the faujis will never give that up.

When the pakis use the bypass term, it is with a sinking feeling. All their hot air bakwaas has come crashing down around them. All that strategic location farting has gone right back into their musharrafs.

Defence minister's 'vulgar' outburst against Shireen Mazari angers PTI
Using derogatory language specifically targeting the PTI's chief whip Shireen Mazari, Asif pointed towards Mazari and said, "Someone make this tractor trolley keep quiet" when she and some other lawmakers protested to his speech on loadshedding during Ramazan.
:D
"Make her voice more feminine," he said, according to eyewitnesses. Another lawmaker chimed in from the government benches to say "Keep quiet, aunty."
:D
Responding to Asif's outburst, PTI Spokesman Naeemul Haq said "Khawaja Asif should be hung upside down for his vulgarity and misbehaviour, and should be beaten with a shoe 25 times in the morning and 25 times in the evening."
I second that.

I have yet to see a more apt description for Shireen Mazari than "tractor trolley"!!! This must be widely publicised, considering that it came from a minister, ever time she opens her mouth (even if she practises to make her voice "more feminine")

Though "dump truck" or "wrecking ball" sounds quite nice too. In the US, equivalent to "dump truck" can be used.

Pak envoy in India barred from entering a diplomatic meeting

NEW DELHI: Pakistani High Commissioner in India Abdul Basit was not allowed to enter a diplomatic gathering in Nagpur, Indian media reported on Wednesday.

The diplomatic gathering was arranged by United Nations and Pakistani High Commissioner was invited to attend the meeting.

The justification given by the authorities was that the Hindu extremist organisation RSS had threatened against allowing the Pakistani high commissioner into the gathering.

Officials at Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi say that this is fourth time the invitation has been canceled. It is also said that this is against the diplomatic norms.

I read some where that he was supposed to be the Chief Guest. Which UNO is this and don't they clear these invites with the Government first? That UNO official should be persona non grata.

From the above,
PTI's Shafqat Mehmood said Asif, who he had known for 50 years, was intelligent and well-dressed . . .
"Khawaja Asif should be hung upside down for his vulgarity and misbehaviour, and should be beaten with a shoe 25 times in the morning and 25 times in the evening :rotfl: ."
On the whole the National Assembly is a den of jokers !

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan-Jan 24, 2016

Post by Peregrine »

True colours revealed

If there was ever any doubt as to where the sympathies of the current government really lie, then the recent budget has laid them bare. The government has not the slightest interest — or indeed intention — in creating a national counter-terror narrative nor in activating and empowering the single agency that is tasked with doing so — the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (Nacta). The budgetary allocation for the coming year is a paltry Rs109.42 million, the financial equivalent of a kick in the teeth and a staggering 90 per cent lower than the budget set aside for Nacta in the last financial year, when it looked as if, at last, it was finally going to be the robust entity it was envisaged as. The agency itself had requested Rs1.8 billion to meet needs for the coming year.

Considering that the fourth point of the National Action Plan (NAP) is the strengthening of Nacta itself, and that the agency has a primary responsibility for the implementation of many of the 20 points in NAP, NAP itself would seem to be dead if not actually buried. It must be assumed that the Joint Intelligence Directorate, which was to be formed under the Nacta aegis, is also stillborn. Why the finance ministry is reluctant to release funds to Nacta is a mystery, but in administrative terms, it comes under the interior ministry, and the prime minister, currently offline, oversees all Nacta operational activities. The Board of Governors of the body, chaired by the prime minister, has yet to meet despite being required to do so four times a year.

At a stroke, any move towards the development of a coherent and unified policy in terms of combating what is a considerable threat to the state, namely terrorism, in a variety of formats and contexts, is killed stone cold dead. A decision such as this can only have been taken in the highest reaches of government, and any protestation by the government that it is truly committed to wiping out terrorism (and banned groups) is nothing short of balderdash. The fingerprints of extremist sympathies are all over this latest example of crass governance.

Islamic Brigade Costs Paki Taxpayers Rs. 91 Million

Does Pakistan need an Islamic council?
The news first emerged mid afternoon, on 29 December 2015. Soon, it was all that prime time talk shows and newscasters in Pakistan could talk about. Two senior religious clerics, both bearded, both well-regarded among their followers, had used their fists rather than their words, to settle an argument during the 201 meeting of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Pakistan’s top Islamic advisory body. News outlets were salivating. Leaked videos of the brawl emerged. The incident was unusual; religious hardliners are more likely to face-off against liberals than one of their own. “I am stronger than him,” boasted the pot-bellied Maulana Tahir Ashrafi (self confessed alchoholic !) while talking to a television crew. He held back, he insisted, out of respect for his opponent, the 78-year-old Maulana Sheerani, (Sharia School Islamic "Economist"!) also the chairman of the advisory body, who grabbed his collar and ripped out the buttons.
The two came to blows after the council reopened debate for the legal status of the already persecuted Ahmadis—declared non-Muslims under a parliament amendment in 1974—on whether they should instead be categorised as murtads (those who renounce Islam and are punishable by death according to Sharia). It was a dangerous suggestion that could put the minority community more at risk of being hunted and killed.
First Paki Pindigenous TV Realty Show with no help from state or non-state actors :D
“There is a dictatorship within the body,” a frazzled Ashrafi told us over the phone on 13 May. “The environment is such that no scope for dissent is left.” The new chairman, he argued, had made the body unnecessarily notorious.
Islamic democracy in action
Here was a constitutional body no lawmaker seemed to want to talk about, until the current chairman Sheerani took over in 2010. Under him, the council began making headlines, but for all the wrong reasons.
The current chairman, at least is making "some effort" to earn his Federal Cabinet Level Salary of Rs. 70,000 every month ; can the same be said of Ashrafi, who is spending all his "hard earned money" on "Sharab" and other haram items
Consider this. In the last week of May, the council proposed a draft for a women’s protection bill. One clause stated that a Pakistani husband could “lightly” beat his wife if she defied his commands or refused to have intercourse with him. ( This "Islamic gem" made Pakistan "famous" for a few days in the international media )In April, the council argued that Pakistan should revoke the current economic system and paper currency and replace it with gold and silver coins. ( One of the brilliant ideas of The "Islamic Economist ") Earlier, in January, its members agreed that girls as young as nine-years-old were eligible to be married. Marvi Memon, a politician from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), who had called for a ban on child marriages, was bullied into withdrawing her bill, after the council dubbed it “unIslamic” and “blasphemous.” In fact, if previous declarations by the CII ever make it through the parliament, co-education would be banned in Pakistan, airhostesses would wear burqas and the government would sack civil servants who do not say their daily prayers. If the CII had its way, Pakistan would be a theological state like Saudi Arabia.

I am sure that the Paki Mullahs must have asked the Saudi Mullahs for their input, lest these measures be deemed UnIslamic by the Head Quarter Of Malsi based in SA . No less a persona than Maulana Diesel ( a hard line Deobandi ) had threatened Ganja Sharif that he will bring down his Govt through street agitation if the Women Protection Bill is not withdrawn immediately; Ganja backed down and this Bill is now dead !.
For a country made in the name of religion, Pakistan’s path towards Islamic ideology was set after the implementation of Objectives Resolution in 1949, which proclaimed that the constitution of Pakistan would be modeled on the ideology of Islam. Four years later, the country saw its first religious-based violence when there were mass protests against the Ahmadis, a sect of Islam considered heretical to traditional Islamic belief. And ironically it was the Qadianis who were in the forefront for the Demand for Pakistan !
In the 1980s, Zia ul-Haq reorganised the council, increasing the ulemas, spiritual leaders, (but only of the Sunni sect !) and gave it a boost it never expected. Seemingly, the council has had an affinity to military dictators
The council had one task laid out in the 1962 constitution passed by Ayub Khan: to review all existing laws and submit a final report within seven years of its appointment. That never happened. The first report came after 18 years. The reason for this delay is not known. It is also unclear why the body still exists today, despite having achieved the one task it was meant to.
IMO, the mullahs are happy as long as long as they were kept on the public dole ( minister level salary, free housing, govt car etc ), asked to pontificate on matters Islamic once in a while, take trips abroad on diplomatic passport (- like the "recent vacation" to London taken by Maulana Diesel to escape the Paki heat wave, meet Dus Percenti in his London hotel, convey some message from Ganja Sharif, and then return back to Pakiland with loads of haram gifts and presents for friends and family  )
The answer, or at least the reasoning for the existence, was to be found at a leafy road in Islamabad, in the administrative center of Pakistan. The sprawling structure of the council, situated on Ataturk Avenue, is shaped like a mosque with distinctive green domes. On its right are the parliament lodges, and on its left is the Central Bank of Pakistan. It houses over 100 employees, but even on a Tuesday morning, barely a dozen were in attendance. The council and its administrative affairs, such as members’ salaries and other expenses cost Pakistani taxpayers Rs 91 million last year. That amount has been increased to Rs 99 million, according to the federal budget released on Friday for the fiscal year 2016-17.

Look busy do nothing - Part I.
On 17 May, from his air-conditioned office in Islamabad, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sheerani, who is also a member of the National Assembly with the religious party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal), explained why an Islamic council is necessary for the country. Removing his slippers and then carefully wrapping a string of prayer beads around his hand, he began, “Let’s say that the government is a fruitful tree.” (which must be milked as much as possible for "Islamic purposes " !
“If the parliament will keep making laws, the CII will keep debating them,” he added. (so the gravy train will never stop !)
Each member draws a salary of PKR 70,000 per month and enjoys additional perks, such as free lodging, medical expenses, petrol, and security, since their status is equivalent to that of a federal minister.
However, weighing heavy on the parliamentarians, the question remains: does the Pakistan of today need a Saudi Arabia-style body, whose past recommendations have been both comical and irrational and, as pointed out by Babar, dangerous?
Once these "bearded" are given these priveleges, it will be very hard for a future government to control them ; instead of "punishing" the poor Paki Awam by imposing increased consumption tax on essential items, why does not the IMF / World Bank impose some austerity measures on this Islamic Body; I am sure that they will be able to cut a lot of fat (pun unintended )
The parliamentarians finally broke their silence this year, in a first-of-its-kind debate, which bifurcated the upper house into two camps: the Islamist and the secularists. Babar was bold and unusually candid. The council, he said, is “dangerously conservative” and irrelevant, and should be disbanded. That did not go down well with the Islamic parties, whose members goaded Babar to prove his religiosity by reciting verses of the Quran. In a country where blasphemy accusations can lead to mob violence and murder, this debate was taking a precarious turn. “Islam cannot be eliminated from the constitution,” thundered an emotional senator from the main Islamic political party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal), as reported by the media, “For it, we can give our lives and take that of others.” The order of the house soon moved to other matters.
Don't mess around with my livelihood; Islam is my "bread and buttter"
“I am pained that some of the council’s pronouncements have prompted the critics to describe it something of medieval nonsense at public expense,” said Babar. Its list of suggestions is “long and frustrating,” he added, including calling for “Allah-o-Akbar” to be inscribed on the national flag to inspire martyrdom and jihad. The senator would like to see the council be populated with scholars well versed in Islamic and modern jurisprudence. And it was, for brief periods, steered by just the kind of progressive clerics Babar is talking about.
Look busy do nothing - Part II.
The journalist Khaled Ahmed told us that there are several reasons why elected representatives do not want to be seen openly debating the CII. “One is that they do not want to implement the suggestions. Another is that majority parliamentarians are from non-clerical parties and want to hide their ‘modern’ approach from the nation. Yet another is embarrassment from opposing Islamic law because Islamic law is difficult to practice and there is the risk of getting killed by non-state actors.” In other words, it is much safer to ignore the CII than to oppose it.

Religious loyalties run deep in Pakistan. No one is safe from blasphemy accusations. In 2011, trumped up allegations led to the killing of the Punjab governor Salman Taseer. Interestingly, Sheerani doesn’t feel safe either. The topics he deals with, he stated, are sensitive, and a single misstep can put him in trouble with the hardliners. Although the chairman has refused security details, he carries a small gun at all times. “ ( So, some feel that he is not "green enough " ?)I have been told by intelligence agencies that I can be targeted,” he said nonchalantly. Then, pausing, he looked directly at the tape recorder placed near him, smirked, and continued, “But if I am in danger from anyone it is the government officials.”

Though "dump truck" or "wrecking ball" sounds quite nice too. In the US, equivalent to "dump truck" can be used.

Pakistan "Taken For A Ride " By Ummah Brother"
The Arab who owes Pakistan Rs 80 billion that the country has completely forgotten
ISLAMABAD (News Desk) – An Arab named Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, who owes Pakistan Rs.80 billion, has surprisingly been let off the hook this year as well, almost 3 years after Finance Minister Ishaq Dar promised to retrieve the money in September 2013.
Julfar is the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai based Etisalat Group which bought 26% shares and administrative control of Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) in 2005 for $2.6 billion. Under the agreement, Etisalat promised  to pay $1.4 billion immediately and the remaining amount was to be paid in nine installments until September 2010.
In return, Pakistan handed over the administrative control of PTCL to the Etisalat Group and also transferred some properties owned by the company to the buyer
Despite the Pakistani government having come through on its end of the deal, Etisalat has yet repay the Rs. 80 billion it owes Pakistan, a fact that has surprisingly been raised by few in the media.
According to the Express Tribune, the 2016/17 budget books also fails to mention the outstanding money owned by Etisalat to Pakistan for the 2005 PTCL privatization deal.
For the fiscal year 2016/17, the Finance Ministry has shown only Rs50 billion as privatization proceeds.
However, the outstanding amount was mentioned in the country’s budget documents till fiscal year 2014/15.
Officials have also confirmed that the amount was excluded from the budget bill passed in the previous fiscal year for the first time.
However, Privatization Commission Chairman Mohammad Zubair said that the money had not been forgotten by the government, which had raised the matter with Etisalat a number of times.
He added that Pakistan should not expect to receive all the remaining dues from Etisalat since the PTCL sale-purchase deal had required the value of non-transferable PTCL properties to be deducted from the remaining dues.
When it comes to dealings with "Ummah Brothers", there are all sorts of possibilities
(1) Maybe, the whole deal was a verbal promise, which The Arab had no intention to keep anyway ; has happened many times before, but on a very very smaller scale ; how many times have we heard that an ex -pat Pakis working in Dubai, Saudi has been bilked of his monthly pay cheque by his Arab Employer; Lesson learnt ; get the agreement in writing - Business 101 !
(2) There were recent reports which suggested that Ganja's Finance Minister (and close relative) Ishaq Dar is a money launderer of the First Class!; there might be a remote possibility that The Arab has already paid the money and it has either disappeared in Dar's or Ganja's pocket !
(3) This is the most likely explanation : Ganja Sharif, Ishaq Dar and the "whole Paki Establishment " is too afraid to "remind" the said Arab of the outstanding amount, lest he get angry/upset and might vent his spiel with unintended consequences on the Paki economy
