Maybe from Israeli POV, the militias are in Syria to stay - and direct their love and affection and gifts towards Israel sooner or later. Also, there may be some long-lost friends among the militias that have their names written on the Israeli bombs. See them in Syria, within range of F-16s, go and visit them. Maybe General Vodkov understands those sentiments.

Singha saab here are details on Brit soosai bummer ;
(He was in relation with Daughter of an Oz senator as well before travelling to Pk)
After some time back in Manchester, in 2002 Al-Harith travelled to Pakistan for a backpacking trip. While there, he paid a truck driver to take him to Iran. The truck was stopped when he passed near the Afghan border. Taliban guards, seeing his British passport, arrested him as a British spy, which was consistent with their usual treatment of foreigners.[1]

American troops discovered Al-Harith among numerous foreigners held by the Taliban in jail in Kandahar and released him. He was being aided by the Red Cross to make arrangements to return to Britain. They enabled him to call his family in Britain, whom he told he would be soon flying home. The Red Cross had arranged with the British embassy to fly him out from the American airbase to Kabul to meet the British representative.

Al-Harith was detained in Kabul by US forces who found his explanations regarding the purpose of his travels in the region to be implausible. He was arrested as a suspected enemy combatant and transported to Guantanamo Bay detention camp, where he was one of nine British citizens detained. He was interviewed by representatives of MI5 and the British Foreign Office, as well as by US officials, and provided interrogators with useful information about the Taliban's methods.[7] The United States notified the Australian government of Al-Harith's detention because he had recently been in the country. The ASIO carried out an investigation of his activities while in the Australia and concluded that he had not constituted a security risk.[1] After being held for two years, during which he claimed to have experienced "cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment",[1] he was released without charge

nobody much goes to backpack in TSP in the presence of so many safer options. and from there to seek to enter iran illegally ... the iranians are not known as the most welcoming on that frontier...esp to americans and british. they have jailed people in the past for losing their way into iran as 'spies'

maybe he was a newbie looking to explore various forms of jihadis then with an eye to picking a good band to hang with.

SDF are looking to clean up other areas so holding off from the 1st DCB line. these will be broken using artillery and airpower as they do not have concreted bunkers on reverse slopes, more like small tunnels and rats nests. organic dozers with assault force will break gaps then. mine clearing blades , trawls and explosive filled cables shot by rockets will clear paths through the mined roads.

first they should clean up downriver all the way to Deir azzor the chain of towns , to avoid being hit from the back once the raqqa attack starts. must be considerable number of rats camped therein. deir azzor surely has 3000 bandits in the vicinity.

turkey has bribed the isis to leave al-bab and go fight the tiger forces instead further south.

great video - ISIS captured vehicles charge at a Badr militia trench....but cunningly these boys had made not just a berm but a trench ahead of it - the vehicles get stuck there and daeshis hide in the trench , shouting and firing. a couple grenades flush them out to be gunned down. and they did not have ATGMs to strike the inbounds, just small arms and a RPG.

they dont back down or run, highly team spirit.

I would up my est of daily ISIS killed to 200 - iraqis are going berserk on them

and russians killed some 30 in deir azzor cemetary bunker today with a huge PGM

its not pretty, but someone has to step up and do the deed.

if the palmyra front collapses, it will be a extended mopping up kind of operation. "reed ki haddi toot jayega"

they have lost central C&C since the khalifa and his top emirs are in hiding, its more like each theater commander Emir trying what they can with depleting resources.

those guarding the citadel in raqqa can feel the cold hand of death creeping up on them . no more banks to loot, toyotas to drift in and yazidi women to rape.

camp ghazlani in the single photo seen today looks like a batteship had been pounding it for hours with 16" cannons. just piles of upturned earth, chunks of masonry and broken trees. looks like iraqis used artillery and direct fire weapons to blow up bunkers having tons of stores munitions.

Sigh, even a almost failed state is having fun with their jets. Pakis having fun bombing it's own people.

On the other hand 4th larget airforce, 50 billion defence budget, access to any damn munitions in the world, is made to sit around twiddling thumbs while LeT rats pick our boys regularly in the cursed heaven on earth.

demoralized daesh rounded up near mosul airport
I look at those pics of ISIS dead in the ditch near Tal Afar plus this picture and have to wonder why I don't see any weapons with the dead bodies. Or ammo belts. OK, a few had some chest/back packs. Were all the weapons and ammo removed from the bodies?

B4 or after shooting them? And is that what was going to happen to that line of Daesh near mosul airport, heading for a freshly-dug ditch?

Not that I am complaining, mind u...

Ulan Batori ji
Why are they lying in a straight line hain ji?
Are you suggesting an execution after disarming them? Its possible.
Or it is possible that they were killed in different areas of one compound and then lined up there for a photo op.

Either way, good riddance

the bodies would be given a simple burial in a mass grave so they were probably gathered in one place for the tractor to pick up.

true test of russian and american influence over the sultan is now. if they cannot make him back off from attacking Efrin and Manbij it will be proven they are impotent vs the sultan and just using the kurds as nirodh free condoms to get their ends without spilling own blood

the kurds will be left friendless and alone , unless they make nice with assad then.

#SRO - #SDF federalist coalition multiplicating assaults in east #Raqqa to accelerate operations. Main goal ? Not #Raqqa this time (1).

#SRO - #SDF about to send reinforcements to #Manbij Military Council in coming days and need to do. So, time to accelerate #Raqqa op' (2).

#SRO - Liwa Jund al-Haramayn (arabs) that sent fighters for #Raqqa already moved its fighters out to send them back in #Manbij (3).

#SRO - #SDF clearly about to create a blackmail to #US and allies : "if #Manbij attacked, we're ready AND we'll stop #Raqqa op'" (END).
