namji: U r behind the times onlee. The WHOTUS-COTUS-POODLESTAN-CNN have long since declared that there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of anyone getting hurt by SARIN leaking from a destroyed Sarin ammo dump. It HAS to be given orders by Assad to become active and aim for civilians, otherwise it is totally harmless.

So there!

THAAD is exported to those that are willing to fight Russia? Who, UAE? JASSM has been recently exported to a NATO state. There are Russian cruise missiles already exported to forces that are adversarial to the US and the same applies with the S-300 and S-400 system sales. THAAD is a strictly a long range ABM while S300 and S400 are long range AMD systems so from an overall defensive perspective broader in scope.

Some of these nice things have warheads that actually DO bounce off walls spreading fire. True wunderweppuns. Burn everyone inside to a crisp while leaving the walls intact.

My assesment of Shayrat Airbase.
The image is from 2014, so some things may have changed
More Su-22s in the bunker to the right of the Mi-24 (NE). Looks like a repair workshop for the Su-22s
Image

Areas hit by the missile strikes marked in Pink. One can see fire and smoke in the FLIR images, craters in the visual light images on some bunkers

So if the SA-6s were deployed, one wonders who won the battle, the Tomahawk or the SA-6s?
Did the SA-6s take down some tomahawks?

Yes it looks like facing saving measure at home where DT is just overwhelmed by Liberal Media like CNN, CNBC ,BBC etc for Election Hacking , Leaks , Judge Appointment etc

Also its a good distraction against the huge civilian death at Iraq Mousul thats been dominating the headlines besides DT news

The same media CNN , CNBC etc is not cheering and praising Trump for taking a bold step on syria that Obama could not.

Serves well for DT ATM but this is a limited time offer , in few days they will be back on DT neck with same Election Hacking , Leaks , Ivanka Trump , Kushner but this is welcome relief

US Military Strike on the brink of military clashes with Russia - PM Medvedev
The US missile strike violated not only international, but also US laws, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, adding that the attack “was on the brink of military clashes with Russia.”

“Instead of their much-publicized thesis about a joint fight with a common enemy, Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL], the Trump administration has proven that it will fiercely fight against the legal government of Syria,” Medvedev wrote on his Facebook page.

Moscow 'Draws a Red Line' by Suspending US-Russia Flight Safety Deal on Syria
Russia appears to have drawn a "red line" by suspending the air safety agreement, which Moscow and Washington reached in October 2015 to prevent aerial accidents in Syria's crowded skies, Director on geopolitical studies at the Brussels-based European Institute for International Relations (IERI) Pierre-Emmanuel Thomann told Sputnik.

The deal was put on hold following the Pentagon's massive airstrike on the Shayrat air base operated by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
Not sure how reliable Spuntik portal is...but it is definitely not an encouraging sign although I think US and Russian fighters would try to stay away from each other.

Machine of power in US broke Trump’s pledges over ten weeks — PM Medvedev

More:
http://tass.com/politics/940148
MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has remarked that it took the machine of power in the United States just ten weeks to "break" President Donald Trump’s election pledges.

"Right after his (Trump’s) election I said that all will depend on how quickly the existing machine of power will break Trump’s election pledges," Medvedev said on his page in a social network. "It needed ten weeks."

yes I know the thawks must have hit mostly in from the open front and back of the shelters to set the planes on fire....but still its huge 450kg warhead produced surprisingly no impact on the interior or exterior. some of the shelters look to have small craters on top, so many a few hit and bounced off there.

the roof of the shelters seem to be around 10 feet of concrete....

China must have rushed a special NEST team of "advisors" to pickup the remnants of the 30 or so missing TLAMs and ship them asap back for "studies" and "cloning" lol....a thawk block4 would be a good prize to study the guidance and IR suppression technology

the ones they got from TSP must have been block1 or 2.

If you wanted to go after hardened aircraft shelters in a big you wouldn't have necessarily done so using TLAM's, Stand Off JASSM's (shorter flight time) followed by stand in Paveways would be the way to go.

This is what a proper weapon (for target) does to a hardened aircraft shelter : http://www.sue_and_bernie.talktalk.net/ix(b)_sqn.htm

How do these US strikes affect the pro-Uncle brigade here at BRF?

After this treachery, do you still think we should be entering a strategic relationship with these people. Should we be entering into decades long arms contracts with them? Should we rely on American consistency and trustworthiness? Does anyone believe the Americans won't betray us at the first opportunity?

The "hanging roots/wires" inside the hangars are probably steel rods pushed in by mijjiles that penetrated the shelters and exploded inside.

No point waiting for them to be hit the way Assad waited for the US navy to do that. China would not wait. The ships have to be hit because bunkers of any thickness are no use.

1000lb warhead doesn't have to penetrate. the energy will cause the concrete to spall off ricocheting about exposing the rebar in the concrete and bending it down. sparks will fly everwhere. not good for jet a/c. those thawk warheads are prolly not hardened the way bunker buster bombs are.

could be wrong. its happened before.

The HAS look like open doors. Why would they need LGBs?
Some of the hits look like top attack. So interesting bunker penetration mode.

Yes Correct, that is why I had said earlier that if such shelters even existed at the particular base. But my point was more about using the shorter range weapon and the ability to re-target based on ISR information. By sticking with just the Naval assets you don't really have the option of dialing in quick strike (unless a carrier happens to be around) to sure up targets that still require some work. The USAF would have likely used an initial JASSM strike followed by a B-2 pass .

Gagan In the second picture can you count the number of Tomahawks expended by means of craters etc.
US says 59 THawks launched.
Russia says only 23 hits.
This would mean 36 went awry or didn't make it.
What do the craters say?

https://gabbard.house.gov/news/press-re ... rt-sighted
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard: Trump’s Military Strikes in Syria Are Reckless and Short-Sighted
April 6, 2017
Press Release

Honolulu, HI—Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) released the following statement today after the U.S. launched military strikes on Syrian government targets:

“It angers and saddens me that President Trump has taken the advice of war hawks and escalated our illegal regime change war to overthrow the Syrian government. This escalation is short-sighted and will lead to more dead civilians, more refugees, the strengthening of al-Qaeda and other terrorists, and a direct confrontation between the United States and Russia—which could lead to nuclear war.

“This Administration has acted recklessly without care or consideration of the dire consequences of the United States attack on Syria without waiting for the collection of evidence from the scene of the chemical poisoning. If President Assad is indeed guilty of this horrible chemical attack on innocent civilians, I will be the first to call for his prosecution and execution by the International Criminal Court. However, because of our attack on Syria, this investigation may now not even be possible. And without such evidence, a successful prosecution will be much harder.”

^^ AFAIK she opposed Trump perhaps her party line but she has also opposed things like NFZ over Syria.

Ron Paul has been very consistent in his approach and is not known to be a Neocon war monger like others are.

BTW I am not Russian or Orthodox Christian , Since I followed them for some time I know that is the case.

Its easy to be Dharmic when you dont have power even Trump was 10 weeks back , As they say Power Corrupts and Absolute Power .........

The video is cut short, spliced and so just based on the small snippets available, it will be difficult to make a count.
But I see 8, maybe more aircraft bunkers hit. There can be more, but the video is cut short.
Then there are 6-8 targets lit up on the FLIR images. Some of these are incandescent lights of the bunkers themselves, so counting them out

So the SAM sites were hit, and then the Su-22 hangers were taken out.
One area looks like, perhaps the SAM garrison HQ building, I just can't be sure.
I counted about 10 odd SA-6 missle launchers, images were not good enough to identify the 1S91 flat face radars (and I was lazy), but the missiles were nicely organised in a triangle.
I would say 20-25-30 hits? Can't be sure.
What I am really interested in knowing is, that the Russians were around and they would have tracked the missiles from the origin to the target. Did the russians or the syrians try and interdict some of the missiles? Did they successfully intercept any missiles?

The world wants to know, how good are russian/soviet origin SAMs, specially their export versions!!!

Counting TLAMs by target is tricky since one doesn't know the exact launch/shot doctrine. You can't really do shoot look shoot with a subsonic missile salvo from potentially XXXX km away so you would be building that into how many you launch in the first place.
