Over 105'000 people have left #EasternGhouta since humanitarian pauses were introduced by Russian MoD in cooperation with Damascus & Red Crescent. Syrians are provided with first shelter, hot meals & food sets. Hugely successful humanitarian operation, yet largely ignored by MSM

this zoomable map shows how an area 20X the size of ghouta is occupied near the jordan border. there is one small enclave in damascus south of ghouta and one in qalamoun NE direction that is large.

Video allegedly shows two UAE Air Force F-16s targeted by Houthi Surface to Air Missiles.

A composite video that includes FLIR footage allegedly showing the attempted shoot down of what should be (based on claims) a flight of two F-16E/F Block 60 of the UAE Air Force flying over Yemen’s capital city of Sanaa has emerged on Mar. 27.

The video shows unidentified missiles being fired at night, whereas the FLIR footage shows the F-16s releasing flares to evade the incoming missile(s). The second part of the clip (with a timestamp dating the incident to Mar. 26 around 21.27 LT) is quite similar to the one released at the beginning of January, when a RSAF F-15 Eagle was targeted (by a modified R-27T based on claims that Houthis have modified a number air-to-air missiles to be launched from pick-ups) and allegedly shot down. At that time the video was alleged to have been obtained using a ground-mounted forward-looking infra-red sensor usually mounted on helicopters for surveillance and targeting: most probably a Flir Systems ULTRA 8500.

The clip released yesterday is also filmed from the right side of the aircraft and shows the aircraft maneuvering (note: 4 minutes before the missiles approaches the alleged UAE Viper), releasing flares and flying through or close to clouds of debris or extinguished decoys. Then you can clearly see the missile narrowly miss the F-16.

Either the proximity fuse failed or the missile was not within the proximity to the aircraft for fuse to trigger the shaped charged warhead to explode. Close Call.

IT shows that even expensive Fighter aircraft are vulnerable to old single color IR missile like R-27T because they are not aware of being under attack , All fighters needs MAWS else a 50K USD missile will bring down a $60 million dollah aircraft.

MAWS should be mandatory on all IAF fighter ,Even the lease costly Mig-21Bison will be many times costlier than the manpad and you cant count the cost of pilot life they are too precious.

Trump says US will withdraw from Syria 'very soon'
https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/29/politics ... index.html
"We're knocking the hell out of ISIS. We'll be coming out of Syria like very soon. Let the other people take care of it now," Trump told supporters at an Ohio event on infrastructure.
"We are going to have 100% of the caliphate, as they call it, sometimes referred to as land ... But we are going to be coming out of there real soon. We are going to get back to our country, where we belong, where we want to be," Trump added.
LOL never know what to think with the Americans. If their intent is to confuse the hell out of everyone, they succeed brilliantly time and again.

"Patriot missiles made in America fail everywhere"!
Great ad for selling Patriots. But this isn' t new news. The Gulf wars experience showed all the Patriot was as the Yanquis say, a lemon. The hilarious part is that they want us to buy Patriot instead of S-400s! Any takers? Perhaps we should offer them our desi Akash, or the B-8 JV, or even the PAAD system instead.

[url=https://www.rt.com/usa/422728-trump-syria-leave-troops/]We're coming out of Syria very soon, let others take care of it - Trump[/url
President Donald Trump has made a surprise announcement that US forces will be withdrawing from Syria, citing the defeat of Islamic State and the need to defend US borders and rebuild “crumbling” infrastructure.

“We're coming out of Syria very soon. Let the other people take care of it now,” Trump said during a speech in Richfield, Ohio on Thursday, dedicated to his infrastructure initiative.

The US spent $7 trillion in the Middle East, Trump said, describing how the US would build schools only for insurgents to destroy them, while there was no funding to build schools in Ohio.

“We build a school, they blow it up. We rebuild the school, they haven’t blown it up yet, but they will,” he said.

The president also pointed out the “wall” and 32,000 US troops guarding the border between North and South Korea, while the US border with Mexico was not likewise protected.

“Is there something a little bit wrong with that?” he asked the crowd.

Trump’s remarks about Syria are in line with what he said last month, at a press conference in Washington with Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull.

“We're there for one reason: to get ISIS and get rid of ISIS, and to go home,” the US president had said. “We’re not there for any other reason and we’ve largely accomplished our goal.”

Putin must be laughing his guts out in the Kremlin!
Trump says ISIS was defeated but not by whom. This leaves the way clear for Assad and co.( Ru and Iran) to mop up the anti- regime stragglers in the country.
I wonder what the "Mad Bin Sultan" now on a PR tour of the US has tried to achieve with his Yanqui hosts.
Assad, Iran and Ru should now carry out a full-court press
with a few " skyhook" baskets ( strat. bombing) on the remnants and their remaining strongholds.

Once that is done the other " Sultan" of the Ottomans can be given his lesson in statecraft.

al masdar
BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:25 P.M.) – A Russian military official has commented on the uprising of Al-Bukhamiss tribesmen against US-backed forces at the Euphrates town of Al-Mansura in Syria’s Raqqa province earlier this week.

According to head of the Russian General Staff Main Operations Directorate, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoy, the revolt at Al-Mansura was the due to disillusion stemming from forced recruitment of Al-Bukhamiss tribesmen by US-backed militias.

Acts of repression and extortion by US-backed forces against the town’s local Arab populace also played a key role in inciting the civil uprising that was witnessed, the Russian general added.

About one week ago, Al-Bukhamiss tribesmen revolted against US-backed forces in Al-Mansura, burning tires and blocking military checkpoints across the town; later on, reports emerged that a US-backed forces intelligence officer was murdered by unknown assailants near Al-Mansura – this information however has not been properly confirmed.

According to the Syrian News Agency ( SANA ), members of the Jaish al-Islam group would put down their heavy weapons and leave Douma for north Syria.

“Jaish al-Islam militants will exit to Jarablus city in eastern Aleppo countryside ” , SANA added

The UK-based monitor also says that a Russian-brokered agreement has been finalized to evacuate militants from Douma, the last terrorist bastion in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta
