I never thought Trump had a chance, despite his popularity here on BRF (for making some pro-Indian noises).

No elected US president can defy the ruling elites of the West. We Indians need to get this through our thick heads. I hope this enlightens our policy elites as they seek strategic entanglement with the US. America is our enemy and will destabilize us or attack us when it suits them.

Saker has written a good article.

http://thesaker.is/the-us-message-to-th ... orship-me/
What is clear is that the Neocon-run Trump administration is willing to risk WWIII just to save it’s face, to look “tough” and to maintain the illusion of its relevance. It is also willing to commit the most odious crime under International Law, the crime of aggression, and it does this brazenly, with the supine, cowardly, support of almost all the western political leaders.

Yes, the US is clearly spitting in the face of Russia daring her to “do something about it”, but Russia-haters should not hurry to rejoice. Because by ignoring the UN and entire corpus of International Law, the AngloZionists are also spitting into the face of every single human on the planet and proudly declaring “we are the Hegemon, we are above everything and everybody, above you and above any of your laws or principles. We are even above facts or logic. Bow down and worship me!“.

On a personal note, my disgust tonight is really total. I take some consolation in the fact that mine was one of the voices which tried to prevent this. We failed, but at least we tried. We can live with ourselves. I also want to thank from the bottom of my heart of those of you who have helped me in this struggle. There really isn’t much we can do at this point besides pray for God’s mercy. What will happen will happen. But even if this specific aggression stops today, the fact that the Empire was willing to risk the future of mankind just to save its ugly face tells us all we need to know about it and it’s so-called “values”. Again, the message is clear:

Bow down and worship me!”

It is now for each and every one of us to decide how to respond. Or not. Your choice. You will have to live with yourself and the consequences of your choice. Think of it as a giant mirror. What do you see?

The Saker

#Russia didn’t act by fire against the #US led attack
Only the #SAA repelled with weapons
The Russian role consisted by providing an early warning 6 hours before the strikes, and by radar support.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that Syria's air defense reflected the impact of the United States and its allies by Soviet production complexes
04/14/2018 8:21:37 AM
Moscow. 14th of April. INTERFAX-AVN - Syria reflected a blow to the US and its allies by air defense complexes that were manufactured in the USSR dozens of years ago, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"Syrian anti-aircraft weapons S-125, S-200, Buk and Kvadrat were involved in repelling the missile attack, which were produced more than 30 years ago in the Soviet Union," the Russian military department said.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Syria's air defense had shot down a significant portion of the missiles that were released on Saturday night by the US and their allies.

So Syrian AD operates S-125 , S-200 and SA-6 Kvadrat and BUK .......Some of the slower SAM we saw in video could be S-200 ....this is the oldest of all the SAM in the list ....The most modern is BUK-M1 system of 80's, rest are 50,60,70 stuff but Syrian S-125 are modernised Pechora on Truck

Any way Good Day for Syrian SAM wala in these two strike during T-2 attack by Israel they intercepted 5 out of 8 Israel Stand off weapon , weather intercepted or missed this is a real battle experience against Tomahawk , JSSAM and Poppey

let us start with what is ISIS and why it took birth in eastern syria and anbar province before spreading all over...

- NATO invasion of Iraq destroyed the govt, removed saddam , so his brutal followers/military intel lost saddam but found arrah as it were, agile tabliqs looking to bootstrap a holy war in that region got their break and legions of well trained people including baghdadi who had done time in abu ghraib and endured some abuses. the ineffective baghdad govt was within 100km of being slaughtered such was the surge of ISIS once they moved into expansion mode ... iran was asleep then ... they woke up later ... shia militias sortied out of karbala, basra, najaf and set up camps around baghdad to protect the capital until situation stablized and iraqi military could be built up reluctantly by nato
- GOTUS records show, instead of stepping in and supporting the panicky iraqi govt , they decided to wait n watch if ISIS could bring down assad and quell iranian influence in iraq. arms and funds were given to rebels, some of whom sold it to ISIS, some joined ISIS . some were ISIS itself... not that the AQ syrian branch Nusra front was any better - less crazy on the craziness scale and more deliberately ruthless thats all
- syrian civil unrest over crop failure (water shortage) and declining govt subsidies was aided and abetted to become a armed rebellion threatening the core of the syrian state itself - damascus and aleppo the two biggest cities. east ghouta was the permanent dagger to the heart of the state and had a lot of help and funding from the jordanian border via loose unpoliced deserts and mountains.

some say idea was to roll back iranian influence, secure a 'greater israel' ie syrian oil and gas, some pipeline stuff, or just plain old love of war and chaos - the monster needs misery and crisis to survive

ISIS is very much alive and kept on a 'indian reservation' along the iraqi border. east of euphrates and protected by NATO air bubble. syrians go a mile east of euphrates , NATO bombers pound them to protect freedom and peace. I suspect the 1000s of jaish al islam jihadis bow being busses to jarablous will be rebadged as syrian democratic forces of deir azzoe (SDFDA) and put to work soon. this ruthless lot are not even welcome in turkey where the dregs usually get a warm welcome.

this strike was a petulant retaliation and parthian shot for losing all of East Ghouta under deft russian handling and no longer being able to threaten damascus . Daraa and Al ghab plains will inevitably fall...... al tanf is kept as a "piece of syria" (pakistan) to keep a check on the natives and foment trouble later....but being unpopulated desert its easier to monitor any banditry staging out of it .....

assad is working hard to split the tribal formations east of euphrates and break up the SDF into a pro-govt part and a rebadged bandit/ISIS part. some minor rebellions around raqqa have already happened.

iraqi govt wants to cross the border and clean up the ISIS reservation once and for all but is so far held in check by hidden levers.

Hitting at Poodle-istan and sending some missiles up the neo- Napoleon pretender, the Macaroon, by striking at their mil. and territorial assets in the Meditt. is a nightmarish prospect.US forces in the Levant on land at risk too.
There is no way that Russia will hold back.A suitable response will come.
The Sinhala and Tamil New Year has begun very inauspiciously.

By the way, I am not an Ru " psycophant".I respect Putin anx Russia for creaming ISIS which the West did " diddly- squat" aboot! These sanctimonious hypocrites were using ISIS to oust Assad becos US backed forces were p* ssing in their pants at taking him on.Robert Fisk , the world's most experienced and tenowned journo on the ME,read his books, even ridiculed these so-called rebels saying that they numbered less than the fingers of his hands .They were Uncle Sam's and his Wahaabi bumchums mercenaries and " contractors".

putin and turkey seem to have a track2 understanding to let the ahrar al shams control the eastern part of Idlib, western aleppo countryside and bab al hawa border crossing, while western idlib (incl the fertile al ghab plain - a ancient lake that was drained for irrigated farming) and jisr al shughour the gateway to mordor are taken the syrians from nusra front ..... ie until sultan decides to double and triple cross again

turkey has set up OPs N-S inside Idlib

the only open approach for SAA from south is via heavily defended homs sector over rolling terrain. from the west a range of wooded mountains separates it from the coastal plain and towns like tartous .... not easy to move heavy formations through those few roads.

Very Interesting News All 12 Cruise Missile Targeted at Dumeir Airbase Intercepted by Syrian AD

Syrian air defense intercepted all the missiles fired at Dumeir - the RF Ministry of Defense airfield

04/14/2018 9:04:04 AM
Moscow. 14th of April. Interfax-AVN - Syria's air defense forces have intercepted all 12 cruise missiles that were fired by the western coalition at Dumeir military aerodrome near Damascus, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"The Syrian military airfield Dumeir, stationed in the east of the city of Damascus, was attacked by 12 cruise missiles." All the cruise missiles were intercepted by the air defense forces of the Syrian armed forces, "the Russian military department said.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Syrian anti-aircraft weapons S-125, S-200, Buk and Kvadrat were involved in repelling a missile attack at Dumeir airfield.

"These air defense systems were manufactured more than 30 years ago in the Soviet Union," the Defense Ministry said.

Seems more of a good day for Syrian AD than NATO strike , NATO assesment of BDA will be interesting , so far we have heard RF MOD POV

Even though Russia says its AD did not participate but the bigger picture from RF Radar would have been provided to SAM walah of SAA

It is like the crying wolf story but with more fukery at hand, after witnessing the down hill skiing effort of the gotus ala korea and day night twittering, people around the world were happy to put a chankiyan spin on the potus mutterings with trade cabals and embargoes to boot. Well with such monstrous stakes, every warning is best heeded to as can be seen here with the evolution of covert to overt involvement when most where complacent. The unknown handlers cannot be reasonably predicted, and with the more controlled and insidious, check and balance provided by the internationalists trade lobbies ebbing, the war mongering sledge hammer side can now spread democracy and freedom everywhere.

India Media reprints Reuters and ZNN verbatim , India does not have a reporter in that area neither government or private channel to provide independent view different from Western or Russian media.

Its a sad thing really , most India media would be interested what happens to Salman after he Killed Black Buk the story runs entire day for many days !

so it appears without preliminary SEAD strikes on radars, modern systems like pantsyr and tor can wage considerable attrition on even a large swarm attack by cruise missiles - all of them LO shaped and IR suppressed like the thawks , jassm(b1), scalp and storm shadow .

the fact that SEAD strikes were not done points to one thing - having painted themselves into a corner , NATO wanted a way out without losing face, which was duly provided by russia in exchange for track2 hidden favours and told where to strike, what to strike , and on what routes, and the syrians told to vacate the buildings and take as many shots as they wanted moment the russians alerted them of missiles in flight. no manned platform came within syrian airbase so that was a nice play to permit shooting every SAM in stock and get live training (more would be moving out black sea ports on ivan rogov ships next week)

allegedly all missiles from western side overflow lebanon and avoided the syrian coast to avoid the russian occupied bases on the syrian coast

assad gets to look strong - huge patriotic war rally sure to be in damascus today - he gets to be a rock star and work his flock and show his 'defiance'
DT gets to distract the hounds and tell the deep state 'look i did what you told me, now can i get back into bed and tweet?'
russians get to look chankian and ruthless 'pragmatists' ... from naked threats by DT a day ago to not losing a hair on their backs...and a collection of the latest western missiles to take home and study deeply, perhaps pass on a few to cheen

jihadis get nothing except the green bus.

the persians and hezbollah continue to prowl and have run of the place.

You can bet you last yuan that Ru input both tech and physical " advisers" ,were present last night in downing western missiles. But this is only the opening move.Western public opinion will determine if the attacks continue.. What is certain however is that the gloves are off when it comes to sparing Western entities embeddef
with the so-called rebels.Western covert forces operating in Syria.

Exactly as a Brit. worthy put it.After the strikes, which are of quèstionable worth.Assad will simply ride them out and strengthen himself on the ground.

Looks like one SAM launched and it managed to down 4 missiles. Also great work by the video maker in being able to determine the nationality of the missile. :rotfl:

In reality, however, all the video shows is a SAM being launched and it destructing a few seconds later. Its night, so you can't see the falling debris, you can't see the target etc. In such a case what one looks at is the remnants of the cruise missile with fragments showing BF damage. At best what one can say is that this footage shows a SAM attempting an intercept knowing that we really have no idea what it is even attempting to shoot down.

Austin wrote:

There should be a flood of TLAM, JASSM and SCALP images appearing all over the internet and littered all over the Syrian countryside with BF damage etc. Literally dozens of those that were shot down if 100+ were launched and most were intercepted. Lets say 50% were shot down..thats a heck of a lot of debris that would be showing up in the media any time now and can be geolocated and verified via independent analysis. But of course there is always the chance, as someone here predicted the last time the Syrians shot down (as they claimed) most of the TLAMs, they could have been quietly removed from the country and transferred to China, Iran etc.

If indeed 100+ missiles were launched at the target sets, then most certainly some would have been downed, some would have malfunctioned etc. This is something that mission planners account for when planning and allocating targets. But lets at least try to actually show an interception before posting something verbatim that clearly does not show something that it claims to show.

As a tally, so far we have one debris, alleged to show a TLAM, and one quite positively shows a SCALP/SH. Neither show any visual evidence of blast fragment damage (of course cannot rule anything out as more images would be needed and they need to search for relevance). We also have a bunch of videos showing SAMs being launched at night without any ability to positively identify the intended target or confirm an intercept. Claims over the course of the last many hours have ranged from 13 intercepts to 71 intercepts. As I said, more photographic evidence will begin to flood the media any time now if 70+ missiles were downed or otherwise disabled. Additional video and images of target strikes also would need to be checked for legitimacy as there may be folks on SM that are just recycling old footage from the past.
