Even the FOAB is only 0.044 KT yield though at 7 tonnes its lighter. I believe the thermobaric nature of FOAB makes it far more potent. Lets see if comrade Putin does decide to send a message to flee sylian army.

That should be the Russian response to US provocations in Syria: drop a FOAB or two on the FSA.

Guys: SO FAR... and I keep my fingers crooked.. the US "strike" on the SyAF base appears completely placebo/sham in nature. One thing to learn is, DT regime's Beverly Hillbillies act is an act. As UBCN analysis pointed out early, it was a win-win. The base was functionally operational within 6 hours.

It is tragic that 6 Syrians died and several were wounded (if indeed that is true...) but the materials losses were laughable. I don't think American strike planners are that stupid: anyone seeing that strike would figure out that it was mostly intended for theatrical effect. NATO is of course :(( :(( that their Moderate Terrorists are facing extermination, and are surely demanding some fig-leaf "political solution".

The speed of Tillerson's vijit to Moscow was a dead giveaway.

There was/is no doubt the threat that there CAN be more strikes that are far worse - example: decapitation strikes on Damascus where The Animal lives. Raygun Reagan tried that against Gaddafi (pbuh). The rumblings about War Crimes Trials are also very impressive. But, point is, the USAF is now busy hammering the ISIS for real. There was a night attack on a convoy that looked real and systematic: some 250+ estimated pest-e-sha'eed. The "accidental" attack that killed 18 Flee Sillians was also a sign that USAF is finally beginning to wake up.

Also the US domestic narrative has completely changed. The CNN etc hyenas are now gathered around Oscar Munoz, not Sean Spicer. The POTUS is now seen to be "decisive". For once gravity ensured that the bombs went down, not up, demonstrating how the POTUS' orders actually worked. The mutual snarling with Moscow makes Americans very warm and comfy: things are back to the way The Lawd Intended Them 2 B.

There is a small possibility that this is all kabuki and that Trump under massive pressure at home over ties with Russia decided to play a trick on everyone with this retaliation strike for a (false flag) chem attack. This is std. play for covert agencies and frankly does anyone in the west really care about Syrian/Muslim deaths? What seems to have happened though is overkill. The scale of the home attack and US response is making it v.difficult for US-Russia relations to get back anytime soon on an even keel, with the "dogs of war" back in Washington howling for Assad and Putin';s blood.

So we had Trump conduct a MOAB strike in Afghanistan-for popular demonstration and launch the USN's Pacific Fleet armada against the Young Leader of NoKo. That paranoid nation in the extreme will definitely savage SoKo if there is a single strike against it. China knows it and is warning the US,but will Trump who needs to show off his virility again, heed the warning? NoKo's arty alone can devastate Seoul. Will China too intervene as it did during the Korean War? History they say repeats itself, the fist time-tragedy,the second time-farce.Of course the British ability to laugh at itself /comedy is supreme.Look how many Afghan Wars they've indulged in and the current one is still on!
For the moment the heat is off in Syria where the mutual exchanges of population in the besieged towns under control of govt. and rebels is taking place.

Meanwhile in the Ottoman would-be-empire,Sultan Erdogan, aspirant to the title of Caliph of the umma,is holding a referendum tomorrow aimed to give him even grater dictatorial powers. This latter-day Sultan aims for imperator status, and should he win by fair means or foul, send his country into an even greater downward spiral of authoritarianism and dictatorship, which is unlikely to be contested by the opposition populace, since there have been so many thousands of those opposed to Erdogan rotting in his jails. Turkey's continued interference in the Syrian conflict will depend a lot on the outcome. If Ergodan wins,he may gamble even more in Syria, adding even more fuel to the funeral pyre that the nation is.

Turkey prepares for tight vote that could strengthen Erdoğan's grip on power
The campaign for Sunday’s controversial referendum on constitutional reform has polarised a divided country still further

Xcpts:
Opponents argue that the changes will effectively lead to one-man rule and autocracy with Erdoğan at the helm. They point out that the ruling Justice and Development (AK) party has been in power for a decade and a half, but has failed to bring stability to a country struggling with repeated terror attacks, an influx of refugees, and an insurgency by Kurdish separatists in the south-east that has devastated cities in the region.

Erdoğan addresses his supporters at a referendum rally in the Black Sea city of Ordu. Photograph: Yasin Bulbul/AP
They also point to the wide-ranging crackdown on the media and opposition as an indication of the government’s autocratic tendencies and the unfairness of the contest. Few media outlets that are outright opponents of Erdoğan remain.

Cumhuriyet, the main opposition daily, has had nearly a dozen staff and board members arrested and its journalists are facing trials. The pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic party (HDP), once a key source of hope for opposition activists and minorities who joined the movement, has had its two co-chairs imprisoned, including the charismatic opposition leader Selahattin Demirtaş. The party’s other chief, Figen Yüksekdağ, has had her parliamentary status revoked and is facing a possible jail sentence.

The referendum will also represent a vote of confidence or otherwise in Erdoğan himself. The first popularly elected president in Turkish history has already turned a largely ceremonial position into an influential role by sheer force of personality. If the constitutional amendments are approved, he could become the most powerful man in Turkey since Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the republic.

SeeEnnEnn
The convoy of buses, which were parked at the time, was carrying thousands of people from two regime-held but rebel-besieged villages in northwestern Syria, state-run media reported.
People were evacuating two rebel-held towns in southwest Syria at the same time under a so-called Four Towns Agreement.
Video shown on state television showed charred buses parked on the side of a road. People walked outside the buses, surveying the damage as well as bodies lying on the roadway and a grass median.
So this shows very clearly why Assad is fighting, hain? The Moderate Terrorists are quite determined to genocide the people in the besieged areas and respect no "ceasefire agreement".
This is no better than 1947.

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:30 P.M.) – Over 200 civilians from Fuah and Kafraya have gone missing in the Rashideen neighborhood after they were supposed to enter government-held Aleppo yesterday. Regrettably, most of the missing people are girls.

interview with a fuah kafraya mother who was there. the 3yr and 4yr small kids were deliberately lured to a "relief truck" handing out packets of potato chips (which they had not eaten in years) and then the VBIED was blasted

even by jihadi standards this is quite a new low.

no tears from DT on this one. I am not posting the pics of the dead kids lying around, they are on twitter.

Such is the opinion of US Amb in Syria in 2006 Diplomatic Cable

This cable shows that, in December 2006, the top US diplo mat in Syria believed that the goal of US policy in Syria should be to destabilize the Syrian government by any means available; that the US should work to increase Sunni-Shia sectarianism in Syria, including by aiding the dissemination of false fears about Shia proselytizing and stoking resentment about Iranian business activity and mosque construction; that the US should press Arab allies to give access in the media they control to a former Syrian official calling for the ouster of the Syrian government; that the US should try to strain relations between the Syrian government and other Arab governments, and then blame Syria for the strain; that the US should seek to stoke Syrian government fears of coup plots in order to provoke the Syrian government to overreact; that if the Syrian government reacted to external provocations, it proved that the regime was paranoid; that the US should work to undermine Syrian economic reforms and discourage foreign investment; that the US should seek to foster the belief that the Syrian government was not legitimate; that violent protests in Syria were praiseworthy and exemplary; that if Syria is the victim of terrorism and tries to do something about it, the US should exploit that to say that the Syrian government is weak and unstable, and is experiencing blowback for its foreign policy.

UlanBatori wrote:The MIT ex-prof's report I posted above says clearly what I had not read anywhere in MSM: The SARIN came from an artillery shell found inside a bomb crater. The shell shows that it was damaged from outside - as would happen if were either blown out of an ammo dump, or deliberately hammered in after the fact.

IOW, it does not show signs of exploding from inside. Now this is in a rebel-held area so you can't accuse Russians or Assad of planting that there. Which points the finger very clearly at the Rebels and their Masters. Why is this not being publicized and debated?
I was encouraged to finally see that MIT professor's findings reported in mainstream US media today. His report has been gaining traction on the internet, so much so that the western MSM finally reported it:

Whaoh - it was just on Yahoo News a moment ago but was quickly pulled. Creepy...

I saw through the pictures of the dead children in Syria.

Most of them are semi-naked with upper torso without clothes. Uncanny.

Is this an orchestrated pic? Just to have more effect? Islam forbids display of nakedness.

Temperature in Damascus is 16 degree Centigrade now. It is not very hot.

Why would all the children sleep bare-bodied?

They were stripped to add shock value.

Explosions blow/ burn clothes off people. Just a physics fact. The bodies also look burned severely. If you want confirmation, look for a photo taken right after a Bum-e-Paki went off outside the J&K legislature back in 2002. It was a double explosion: first one, then when rescuers arrived, another one. You see policemen who survived, with most of their clothes gone/shredded, still bravely trying to get up and go to work.

^ those pics do appear genuine of burnt children, have seen many burn cases, and this is how they present. Since burning material or inflammed skin works as source for further inflammation and infection, clothes are immediately taken off , and plenty of fresh water wash given, more so in case of chemical burns.

The BBC is "never sure" about who carried out the act when it is perpetrated by an anti-Assad entity! Before the dust of the raid can settler though,it is first off the block to accuse Assad and Russia of orchestrating chem attacks. The BBC has lost massive credibility by being so "economical with the truth" at times. The attacks on Shias is given scant importance.

My Lebanese friend was spot on ,when a few years ago he told me that it was the clear policy of the US/West to destroy the Arab world by inciting war between Sunnis and Shias.Arab disunity, since they're truly a motley bunch of various tribes,is legendary, why they cannot cope with the sustained campaign of the West to render themselves impotent through strife. Nothing has changed in the region. The Western majors are at their chicanery best,
and the Arabs are still fighting amongst themselves in proxy wars,Yemen being the latest casualty.

The Iran-Iraq war is a perfect example, where the West armed Saddam to the hilt.German cos. (experts at this!) sold him chem weapons tech ,with which he gassed the Kurds. Dozens of western majors sold Saddam a host of other milware and the oilygrch nations of the ME funded him to do their dirty work against Iran. The two nations fought themselves to a standstill and even Ayatollah Khomeini said that he "was forced to drink the cup of poison (peace)".

Many of those pics (sorry to continue to remind myself of those pics!) show immediate aftermath with dead children hanging out of bus windows or lying in pieces. No one removing clothing there.. its all probably blown off. Horrible.

May the oiseules who planned these things die worse deaths - I hear RuAF is doing their bit to help there - a whole Fauj caught in the open at Hama.

How is the west trying to incite Sunni-Shia war when US/west is backing only one side all the time ie. Sunni. Your Lebanese friend seems to be true paki for blaming every Islamic ill on the west/US.
The shia side which comprises only of Iran and Syria perhaps is backed by Russia. Does that mean Russia is inviting Shia-Sunni war?! US and it's leaders are too stupid to attempt engineering something of a Shia-Sunni war in West Asia . They are too blinded by Russia hatred just like the roos lovers are in US hatred.

No disagreement with the physics part. But the photos that came in hard copy of ToI do not show any burn injuries on the body, face etc. No tattered clothes either. The children are all staring blank. I cannot find the link.

More:

Interesting since such major chemical attack would have let the people there to approach some organisation and help for the victims etc

Beyond the white helmet video there is no real proof of attack , Why didnt the OPCW and other Intl organisation approach those rebels to check the extent of chemical attack , contamination zone , medical help etc ?
