russis drop a couple of "large ones" on a nusra HQ either in idlib or west aleppo

the first one falls in the courtyard but must have knocked anyone inside senseless. the second one falls on one wing of complex ... I doubt anyone made it alive from that one.

The deal between Russia, Syria and Kurds is causing major takleef to Islam pasand Erdogan
A Kurdish-Russian deal against Turkey

Lieutenant General Sergei Rudskoy, Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff, has confirmed a deal between Russia, the Syrian government and the Kurds in Manbij against Turkey and Turkish-backed rebels.

“Defending the civilians and protecting them from the adverse impact of the war, ensuring the security of Manbij and frustrating the invasion plans of the Turkish army against Syrian soil are the goals we have taken for all the peoples living on the lands of Syria,” the Manbij Military Council (MMC) said in a statement.
“In order to realize these goals of ours, we as Manbij Military Council confirm that we have handed over the defense of the line – where villages between the positions of our forces in western Manbij and Turkish-affiliated gangs are located – to Syrian state forces as part of the alliance we have made with Russian officials,” the council said.
“The SDF ceded this territory west of Manbij because it is clear that there are limits to the extent that the United States will intervene on behalf of the SDF’s interests west of the Euphrates,” the statement added.

Ghee not come with seedhi ungli. Turk mercs are pressing on with manbij attack, killing and abusing captured ndf and sdf troops .....

Sdf is falling back ... now only thing left is for both ruaf and usaf to bomb the crap out of them to send a message to erdogan. He cannot sit smugly in ankara talking peace and let his dogs out of the kennel to run wild

Off in east the sdf has cut the raqqa to deirazzor road. To an extent daesh can still dive up south bank past this point and use fleet of boats to cross. Its a 6 month project to uproot daesh there

https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/sc ... ic-photos/

graphic photos of SDF/YPG soldiers killed and wounded in arima area west of manbij including a YPJ woman.

additional turkish vehicles are pouring in via jarablous

while syria had posted some NDF type border troops in that belt after deal with MMC, they have been defeated and melted away in all but name...SDF/YPG behind them is in direct contact and in firefights with the turkish militias now including experienced ahrar-al-sham units.

they are going for the jaguar vein knowing that MMC is weak and US is loathe to hurt the turks and russia has been successfully neutralized by erdogan with "deals" , the syrians are stuck with their pilot in turkish custody.

in this condition, manbij can only if saved only if either the P2 release their AF to crush the turks or the YPG pulls out of Raqqa at this gross betrayal and deploys into Manbij to have a got at the turkish horde.

the US SOF are sitting in manbij flying the flag and doing nothing.

an idea assad could explore is let a SAA brigade + desert hawks use the manbij corridor to drive through SDF area in east bank to push the remaining 30km to deir azzor whether alone or in concert with SDF... this could be a useful place to roll up ISIS from the south. units from palmyra front could be used.

tigers are using heavy artillery and MLRS to blast their way steadily forward.
8km to the river and 3km from the viral Jirah helicopter base.

once eastern aleppo plains are cleared, Jirah (attack helis) and Kuweires (CAS a/c) can support the attack on maskanah plains further south ... the road to Tabqah.

I would take a leaf from PMU playbook and encircle deir hafr with earth berms & ditches and just sit there letting the ISIS periodically charge out and spend themselves in attacks and SVBIEDs. at night the attack helicopters can launch attacks inside the town.

isolated in this way, it will play no further part in the war despite falling much later once food and ammo runs out for the rats.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military has deployed a small number of forces in and around the Syrian city of Manbij as part of a new role to ensure that the different parties in the area do not attack each other, a Pentagon spokesman said on Monday.
Captain Jeff Davis told reporters the forces were stationed inside and to the west of Manbij starting last week to be a "visible sign of deterrence and reassurance."

south and east of palmyra is black but in reality has no towns or population of noteable number, but the southern black belt between the red and green is the Sweida region I think, which is settled and fertile.

500 vehicles filled with ISIS fighters , camp helpers and supporters evacuated north aleppo plain last night when the tigers came.

it is unclear as yet if they relocated to deir hafr or hightailed it much further south toward raqqa. they can only cross into raqqa by boat now though.

Thanks! This is the first time I got a sense of Syria's geography, shows how 404 I am. Where does the Euphrates run into the sea? Southeast Iraq? Pretty big so far away from the sea!

General Vodkov hitting the bottle again all night, apparently. Surprising, given that they clearly have night-vision thingies on their planes. BTW, all the "BIG ONES" suddenly appearing on videos, appear to have EXACTLY the same spread pattern. Hmmmmm!!!! :rotfl:

euphrates and tigris(mosul & baghdad) join together just north of basra in iraq before joining the sea, this is the cradle of very ancient civilizations like sumerian, assyrian, babylonia and mesopotamia. perhaps the first place where wheat was grown too. kings nebuchadnezzar and hammurabi are stalwarts in history. there are rich layers of culture and history beneath the islamic overlay.

ruaf/usaf might have held off bombarding anything due to mix of civilians incl women and childen in convoy. they can run but where will they hide? on all sides is just enemies.

its the home of the winged bull god lamassu which drives the isis nuts and must-have feature in any filmi set of ME palaces

and similar motifs in persepolis

Image

needless to say , radical islam goes batnuts at such 'idolatry'

the euphrates is dammed at multiple places in syria and iraq. where the dams are forming lakes it looks big like lake assad which the tigers just slaked their thirst from.

having lost his kingdom the king is powerless to change anyones fortunes now. probably more worried someone would not sell him out like tribal chief did to Saddam.

Abadi needs to put a bounty of $25 mil on his head - delivered in any currency of choice in any country via diplomatic courier to the informer(s)

while ISOF might arrest and fly him to baghdad for trial, PMU will kill him like a pig, given most have lost family and friends in the brutal and never ending car bombs in southern iraqi towns.
