as they say never engage the same enemy for too long in the same fashion.
The game is different now. Pak does not have state support from the western nations anymore
K militants will have to slow down. Geo political scene is changing
India has to attack the militants and their camps directly. It will take some time.
Militancy all said and done is on back foot and we are much better placed diplomatically to trash any OIC or UNSC resolutions, the more we delay the more China/CPEC dynamics will play a role, once CPEC is complete and Pakistan is 35th province of china, the arc of evil(Communalism and Communism) will increase its influence and assertiveness in our matters including J&K article 370
PS: Militarily i never think it was a challenge to contain it or reduce it to manageable levels apart from the time factor
This will blow up once the global trade reduces
China will abandon lot of expansion once it gets tough without support from western nations on trade

A bit unrelated, but trade is just a face given to give it a better sounding name CPEC; it might as well have been CPMC: China Pak Mill Corridor; or China Protecting My C (put whatever u want to). The face is to get into Arabian ocean at Gwadar, another base to secure SLOC there
There has been enough pages discussing CPEC it's economic viability covering points e.g. capacity utilization at Karachi, water problems, Debt Service costs of the entire plan, not using local labor, raising of units to protect CPEC. Trade is just a residue that only Pakistan is telling its people.
India has to attack the militants and their camps directly. It will take some time.
I completely agree with this, and I am saying this to be done sooner, along with subduing the nuisance elements inside our garden. We have few options
1. Fait accompli: Let things flow by, let chinese take control of more areas in PoK, let CPEC completed; face Chinese navy and airforce on west too. Yes if the navy comes(which it has already) airforce will come soon. Hope for world to help us and pray to allah for a showdown in SCS for destruction of sugar daddies of pro's
2. a. Ignite Balochistan, Sindh, provide diplomatic support
2.b. and strike when the time comes like we did in B'desh. Retake POK, Smash CPEC and Pakistan once and for all.

Right now, on the face of it we seem to be playing the game of first option. I understand that we may not be able to accomplish the 2.b today but 2.a should have started or should start ASAP.

Else we will be like those of Spain, who would say had xyz happened we would have been world rulers

The warning should be reiterated loud and clear that anybody interfering with an ongoing operation will be shot. Also stop handing over the bodies of dead terrorists, arrange a burial involving not more than a dozen people, the practice of gathering of thousands for burial should be stopped.

Maj Satish Dahiya (ASC) on attch with 30 RR, attained martyrdom today while fighting terrorists in Langate ( Handwara). The offr hailing from Narnaul haryana has put in 7 yrs of service, est contact with trts around 1700-1730 hrs. The offr was fatally wounded in chest. Civilians came up and started stone pelting on soldiers in order to give cover to trts. 3 trts were however gunned down, the rest managed to escape under civilian cover. The security forces, as in practice , were order bound to not hit civilians. Yet again it's the army and its brave hearts who are held up in the tussle between upholding human rights and upholding the anti-terrorist agenda of the Union. Need to empower soldiers. Need to empower AFSPA. The offr was declared brought dead at base hospital Srinagar. May the brave soul rest in peace. A message to an ungrateful Nation??

+1.watching video of stone pelters made my blood boil. These people deserve machine gun treatment. Unfortunately so called secular media will definitely use it defame our forces. Some sort of covert mission to eliminate traiters who motivate stone pelters will be better option. Kinda like killing proverbial snake without breaking your Lathi..

DIG North Kashmir Nitish Kumar said the surge in encounters cannot be linked to rise in militancy.
“We are seeking contact with the militants. It is not that the militants are attacking the security personnel,” he said.Another police officer said there has been a surge in encounters because security forces have gone on the offensive by launching counter militancy operations.During the more than five-month long agitation in the Valley last year, the focus of the security forces was to maintain law and order and not counter militancy operations. Now the focus has again shifted to counter militancy operations,” he said, adding that the security agencies have again made operational intelligence grid, which was rendered non-functional during the unrest.“Now that counter militancy operations have resumed, the security forces are tracking militants and encounters are taking place,” he said.

FYI. IMO there is a problem with J&K demography. It is being claimed that the TFR of J&K in 2011 was around 2.1. At that TFR growth rate cannot be 23-24% as shown in census e.g. when Kerala had a TFR of 2.1 around 1991 its growth rate was about 14%. Same with Bdesh. At TFR around 2.1 growth rate is typically around 14-15%. Either they are overstating their numbers like happened in Nagaland in 2001 or they are not stating their TFR correctly.
I won't be surprised if actually J&K population is lower.

Army should after killing these pigs burn their bodies with gasoline (pig fat is preferred though)., make a video and release it to public.
Thus guaranteed that they won't get their 72 or get to heaven.

Guys, among all the puke-worthy filth I skimmed through on DDM post General Rawat's reasonable warning to KM scum who interfere with army operations, this one is not too bad an analysis, although he doesn't spell out exactly what he wants Mehbooba to do:

http://www.hindustantimes.com/opinion/k ... xOIUP.html

Some things very clear:

1. TSP seems fully in control of the terror in Kashmir valley.

2. Their "success" is mainly because of the overwhelming KM support they enjoy. And TSP's proxies counter India's political moves.

3. TSP also enjoys support from within India: Congoons, NC, Farooq retards etc. The common enemy for all of them is BJP

Using #1-3, TSP game-plan is to force ModiJi to the negotiating table to discuss Kashmir. Once discussion starts, TSP is confident that they will get the desired outcome: If not outright control of the valley, at least a strong foothold within the valley, and this is acceptable to valley KMs, Congoons, NC, dare I say PDP (its "secularism"), and of course that ever invisible force lurking beneath, Uncle (no skin off his back if India surrenders its sovereignty). Remember MMS's joint sovereignty sell out. Thats what TSP is after knowing that for something like that, there will be support from Indian traitors. But

The big question I have in my mind, and this needs to be asked even if uncomfortable among ourselves is: why is Indian army not in control? Whatever may be the local support, the kill ratio is in TSP's favor: losing disposable scum, but throwing Indian army off balance by taking out an equal number of our valuable boys.

Bottom line: General Rawat's warnings are welcome. It may be arm chair posturing from me sitting far away from the action, but I'd like to see Indian army gain control of the situation. It is demoralizing to see TSP pigLeTs can penetrate so deep into the valley and cause mayhem no matter how much support they enjoy among KMs. This has got to be turned around and defeated, or else, as we have seen may times before, India will talk tough but be eventually forced to negotiate, and in a situation where TSP dominates through its terror, its downhill for India.

The biggest hurdle in getting terrorism in Kashmir solved once for all is the dheel dhaal approach Indian government has taken over the years. What ever General Rawat has said should have been said long time ago. Stone pelting is not new in Kashmir but coming out to do or even worse throw Petrol Bomb with sole purpose to disrupt an active Operation can not be allowed and will be dealt with strong hand. This should be clear not only to those who do it but also to those sickulars who have been the reason for getting the situation out of hand.
Not all Kashmiris are terrorists, actually majority are not. Some who are frustrated youth for number of reasons it may be but when it comes to an Army operation a Laxman Rekha has to be drawn to make it clear what an Army operation means. They want to mess with the local Police - do so, want to mess with the local administration - do so but if they try to finger in Army business then their fingers will be cut. Enough of this BS. In some ways I really liked how Pakistan reacted after the Sufi shrine blast - 100s of terrorists killed, right away cross border raid to destroy their camps - Though this means nothing with what it does in India but we need to come out of our self created shell and start drawing lines too.

On Friday, I saw an interview where one of Sonia madam's slaves Pawan Khera was hyper active like a drunk monkey attacking ModiJi and BJP for their supposed failed policy in J&K when asked to comment on Gen Rawat's statement. He went to brazenly add that Congoons had "solved" Kashmir under MMS. As this guy was hyperventilating, one ex General Shankar Prasad couldn't take it anymore and told it like it is to the Congoon slave and said with anti-nationals like him making an arse of himself, India does not need any Paki enemies.

There seems to be one common thread running across all the traitors: Congoons, Farooq retards and NC, so called "liberals" etc; all BJP haters: they keep talking about "alienation of youth", "no dialogue", "Kashmir is a political problem seeking a political solution". I mean for heaven's sake, there was a free and fair election with 70+% turnout. Isnt't that decent political movement? Shouldn't KM leadership build on that and bring the separatist scum on board?

Most often the dumb anchors when they have these traitors on their shows never bother to ask what these traitors mean by "political solution" and "dialogue". Dialogue with whom? Those who want to embrace TSP? Some of course state what they have in mind, like that senile idiot A. S. Dulat and Col Shookla (can't believe these clowns were in highest echelons of India's security apparatus): bend down before the knees of Harried rats and TSP. If you push them hard, believe me, they will advocate MMS's "joint sovereignty" formula. Even TSP will sign on to this after huffing and puffing. It suits them fine. They get the Kashmir valley in slow motion. The KM elite will also be happy, they get independence in all but name and they get the goodies that India is bestowing on them. It will be India that is left with bread crumbs and complete strategic disaster rendering it a eunuch soft country that bucked under pressure (and it will set such a bad precedent that other separatist movements will gather steam).

Bottom line: I still repeat, a complete military victory over TSP (which is the only just and right solution) may not be possible, but Indian army has to assert complete dominance over the valley, or else its as good as gone. The kill ratio should be such that there should be complete demoralization among the pigLeT, TSP ranks, and their KM proxies. Right now we have a kill ratio that is unacceptable and its advantage TSP.

This has a very simple solution.

Every time there is a attack in Kashmir , infiltration or we hunt Paki proxies. there should be a default flattening of Paki post on LOC.

A grenade is thrown, we attack paki post.

A stone is thrown, we attack paki post.

As simple as that.

^^^Not that easy, but a few observations:

1. If it were that easy, Indian army would have done it by now. After all, at least from BJP govt, they have been given a free hand. And even hitting TSP posts is not going to cut it. India has to hit Murdike, Rawpindi, Lahore etc until the RAPEs wail and squeal. And we know India does not have the capability for that kind of a response

2. Nowadays TSP does nit even deny, they are calling for talks while maintaining the pigLeT pressure on India

3. On #2, they have massive support for that position in India, and from western govts

4. What is achievable with some hard work and will is to render pigLeT pressure ineffective by plugging the kill ratio

My govt managed freedom fighters in Kashmir: Pervez Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's former dictator General Pervez Musharraf has said his administration 'managed freedom fighters' in Kashmir but later realised a political process was needed to negotiate the issue with India, a media report today said.

Musharraf, who served as Pakistan's president from 2001 to 2008 after he threw out the elected government in a coup in 1999, said his government was able to force India to discuss issues that New Delhi was unwilling to negotiate.

He said his government was managing freedom fighters in Kashmir, and later they realised that a political process was required to negotiate further with India, the report said.

Musharraf left Pakistan for Dubai in March last year, after his name was removed from the Exit Control List.

The 73-year-old said Afghanistan's intelligence agency, the National Directorate of Security, was playing into India's hands and was being used as a tool to facilitate terror groups in Pakistan.

He claimed operation 'Zarb-e-Azb' - during which the Pakistan Army claimed it killed thousands of militants - had no shortcomings as it was specifically for North Waziristan.

"This operation cleaned up all the camps and launching pads of terrorist, who were supported by the Indian spy agency with the collaboration of NDS, to destabilise the tribal areas."

Musharraf said a holistic approach and planning was crucial at the moment to curb terrorism in the country. His possible reference was to a series of deadly terrorist attack in Pakistan this year, particularly the suicide bombing at a famed Sufi shrine in Sindh in which at least 88 people died.

Pakistan has blamed Afghanistan for allowing sanctuaries to terrorist groups targeting Pakistan on their soil.

The former military chief questioned the steps being taken by Pakistan to eliminate the "sleeper cells" active in the country, including the previously peaceful Punjab province.

"What steps are being taken to eliminate these sleeper cells? Punjab has become the stronghold of militancy," he said, refuting a question that terrorist attacks and terror outfits like the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi existed during his tenure.

"This all started after I stepped down, we had carved out an effective strategy vis-a-vis Kashmir, we were near resolving Kashmir issue with India on a four-point agenda, our policies were successful; America and China were aligning with us."

On Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's "house arrest", Musharraf said the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief is not a terrorist. He claimed India is after Saeed because his supporters go voluntarily to Kashmir to fight the Indian Army.

#1 is where i will focus, in some areas we will be able to do it, but in areas where geography is not in our favor we will have to bear the brunt, this is taking another step on the escalatory ladder. For that we will need near war readiness in terms of artillery ammunition and supplies in addition to the capability and of course political will. While the govt may have given free hand to army on the border, i see the will to escalate beyond a point, and that too unless provoked lakcing

J &K 'rights breaches': EU panel supports India
NEW DELHI: Human rights 'breaches' in Jammu & Kashmir should be settled through domestic Indian institutions, said David McAllister, who is leading a delegation of MEPs from European parliament's powerful foreign affairs committee. "We understand this is a sensitive issue," he said, marking a significant change from traditional EU position of moralizing to India on human rights issues.

McAllister leads a group of four MEPs to India where they met union ministers, national security adviser Ajit Doval, vice chairman of NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan among others. This is the second among three successive groups from the EU to engage with India in preparation for the next EU-India summit expected to be held later this year in New Delhi. The committee is charged with bringing out a report on EU-India relations which will cover everything from defense and security to human rights in time for the summit.

The group consisting of Zeljana Zovko (Croatia), Cristian Dan Preda (Romania), David McAllister (Germany) and Urmas Paet (Estonia) had initially included Amjad Bashir, Pakistan-origin British MEP from Yorkshire, and a well-known critic of India. However, while four of the EU delegation arrived in New Delhi, Bashir was reportedly denied a visa by the Indian government. Speaking to Pakistani media, Bashir said "I alone find myself still without the necessary piece of paper. Our political group has taken the matter up with the parliament's authorities. ... There has not been a word of official explanation from the Indian authorities, but through unofficial channels I have been told it is because of my stance on Kashmir.."

EU's decision to come without Bashir, and to take a more "understanding view of J&K could impact positively EU-India relations. In the past, India has felt EU has taken Pakistan's side on this issue. For the past year, Pakistan has embarked on a diplomatic offensive to rally world opinion against India on J&K.

The new escalation is taking a serious turn with a civilian government in the state applying strategy that forces Indian Army to cause collateral damage if retaliates. Army has to come out with a befitting strategical reply fast and effective. Drones should be used to bomb the hell out of hiding places, tunnels and people who are actively abetting. If such incidents continue to occur, some areas need to get under a direct control of the Army to cleanse otherwise it is getting unacceptable costly.

Guys, I would not blame everything on politicians. From my vantage point, this is ISI and TSPA outwitting Indian army. Now, there is a silver lining in that the battle lines are clearly drawn, and I am sure Gen Bajwa & Co have a plan to dominate pigLeTs, after all, we dominate the ground position. TSP has no military objective per se, its just to be a pain in India's arse with these relentless attacks, and force it to the negotiating table to discuss Kashmir. And as we speak, it makes me puke, you have those like Col Shookla on the Indian side who want India to give profuse BJs to Bajwa for supposedly "arresting" Hafeez pig. So, TSP is keeping its eye firmly on the ball with a military political diplomatic strategy.

http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Hyderabad/kashmir-is-nearly-lost-says-chidambaram/article17365791.ece
Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram said he had a sinking feeling that Kashmir was nearly lost for India because the Central government used brute force to quell dissent there.

Addressing a meeting organised by Manthan, a public discourse platform, here on Friday, Mr. Chidambaram said feared the situation would worsen if the Centre did not take up course correction like what was done by the Cabinet Committee on security in 2010. The graph of violence rapidly declined after that, but it grew at an alarming rate now.

He said seven million persons of Kashmir valley felt alienated by the oppressive methods of the Indian government, which was a “terrible” mistake. The statement of Chief of Army Staff Bipin Rawat that anyone who interfered with defence operations would be treated as anti-national was the last straw.

Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah on Friday said new generation of militants in the state were fighting for “freedom of this nation”.

Addressing NC workers at the Nawa-e-Subh party headquarters in Srinagar, Abdullah said the youth were not sacrificing their lives to become an MLA, an MP or a minister.

“Our youth are giving sacrifices. They don’t want to become MLA, MP or minister. They are rendering sacrifices demanding their rights. This is our land and we are its owners, you are not. This should not be forgotten,” he said at the gathering organised to commemorate the death anniversary of one of NC’s founding leaders.

“They have left (their homes). Everybody loves his life. Nobody wants to die. But they left (their homes) to fulfil their promise with God (and they say) we will give our lives to make this nation free,” he said.
This fight started in 1931. We are not enemies of anybody but we want both nations to do justice with us. You did not do justice to us. The promises you made to us in 1948, you forgot them. My nation does not fear guns,” he said.
Abdullah said the reason people were going to encounter sites was that the present government had promised them that they will not shake hands with “communal forces and Mufti (Mohammad Sayeed) did it and that's the reason people are angry”.

One of the biggest misstep that India had was an over reliance on Abdullah family. They always had an interest in keeping the terrorism going - it fed them, specially Farooq. With PDP and BJP sweeping Kashmir and Jammu they know their political success has their days numbered. "My nation" is a fear of getting him irrelevant. If Army is making deliberate contact with the Terrorists then it is a good thing because over all these years we have let the decent grow. Grab them and neutralize them and they must be told it is not "their" nation - It is one of the state of a Republic nation. This has gone for too long and time is ripe for getting this fixed.

Kashmir when 20 years was different. Now the POC and J&K are geo political important in 2017
The reason are CPEC and US troops in Af Pak

India will have to take it to end game.

What PC is saying is little over done. Kashmir people dont have any reason to interefere with Army
Cong used to have dhimmi attitude.

This is being pushed by Pak agencies and Pak hand.
Pak has created a direct link to the terrorist inside Kashmir valley. Indians have to enter Kashmir now.
Measures have to be taken like communication control, internet control and news and media control in Kashmir

Major Gaurav Arya talks about it

General Cheema takes over as deputy chief
http://www.hindustantimes.com/punjab/si ... p1IHN.html
(Army plan to take initiative and go for the Jihadi Jugular to end the Valley Nakhra and Jhagra)
General Jagbir Singh Cheema recently took over as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information Systems and Training). In this capacity he coordinates capability building of the army in terms of training, communications and information systems. Earlier he had commanded XI Corps the pivot formation in Punjab where he had a long string of achievements including recasting operational plans and providing enhanced facilities to veterans. . Professional courses done by him include staff college, long defence management and National Defence College (NDC).He has served on the general staff dealing with operations, planning, intelligence and training at all levels from brigade to AHQ. As chief of staff of an operationally committed corps, he set down ‘Turbulence to Stabilisation’ the history of proxy war in Kashmir. Operational experience includes command of a company on the Siachen Glacier and an Assam Rifles company in Kashmir.
Army chief General Bipin Rawat’s recent caution to stone-pelters and others who seek to obstruct counterinsurgency operations must be seen in this context. Though politicians have taken umbrage at his statement, in my view he has correctly warned overground workers of insurgents.A new, proactive strategy to tackle troublemakers which draws on the experience of British troops in Northern Ireland takes this beyond the ambit of a mere morale-lifting exercise however. To ensure the best coordination between the security forces, joint mobile control rooms will be set up at the scene of active operations. While the army, paramilitary forces and the police’s special operation group will tackle terrorists, the police will make sure crowds don’t gather.
If mobs do concentrate the police will disperse them with warnings, persuasion, guile and failing that with weapons best suited against unarmed people – teargas, batons. Civil administrators will become hands-on to prevent the assembly of terrorists’ collaborators by imposing prohibitory orders and other administrative measures. Such collaborators will be identified by the police who will take legal action against them.

About the issue of local help to the terrorists during counter terrorism operations, there is enough precedence in the west on how to deal with such aiding and abetting elements.

Under the US law for such actions, for instance.

10 U.S. Code § 904 - Art. 104. Aiding the enemy
Any person who—
(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or
(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or protects or gives intelligence to, or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly;
- shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.
Aid and Comfort
To render assistance or counsel. Any act that deliberately strengthens or tends to strengthen enemies of the United States, or that weakens or tends to weaken the power of the United States to resist and attack such enemies is characterized as aid and comfort.

Under Article 3, section 3, clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution; the giving of aid and comfort to the enemy is an element in the crime of Treason. Aid and comfort may consist of substantial assistance or the mere attempt to provide some support; actual help or the success of the enterprise is not relevant.

Pellet guns to get deflector. How about aiming for the groin area ? If a couple of young wannabe jehadis get their missiles chopped off it should send the right message.
