J&K News and Discussion - 2016

Postby Peregrine » 21 Jul 2017 15:58

Farooq Abdullah is like his Father who conspired with US Ambassador Chester Bowles and Adlai Stevenson to have a US Sponsored “Free Kashmir”. On JLN finding out Sheikoo was imprisoned!

'Approach US, China to mediate in Kashmir issue': Farooq Abdullah's remarks met with reproof

NEW DELHI: Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah said on Friday that India should turn to third parties, such as the United States and China, to mediate in the Kashmir issue.

Advocating bilateral dialogue in the face of rising tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) between Indian and Pakistan, Abdullah said that violence and warfare were not the solution to the Kashmir dispute which has plagued both nations for nearly 70 years.

"For how long are you going to wait? Sometimes, you have to catch the bull by the horns. War means annihilation, as they (Pakistan) have atomic bombs, just like we do. The way (to resolve the issue) is through dialogue," Abdullah said.

The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister added that India has many allies across the globe, who can be approached to act as intermediators to help settle the Kashmir issue.

"Use your allies to initiate a dialogue and find a lasting solution. US President Donald Trump has said he wants to settle the Kashmir problem, we didn't ask them to. China also said that it wants to mediate in Kashmir. Somebody has to be approached," Abdullah said.

Quoting former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's remark - "Friends can be changed, but not neighbours" - the NC leader said that arrogance and stubbornness would not let any of the nations progress and develop.

Abdullah's statement has not gone down well with the ruling BJP-PDP government in J&K.
"Condemn his statement. When he was chief minister, he'd talked of attacking Pakistan. Why this two-faced approach?" said J&K deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh.

Congress, which plays the role of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly along with the NC, distanced itself from Abdullah's remarks, with party vice-president Rahul Gandhi refuting outright the possibility of third-party intervention in the Kashmir conundrum.

"The point that is being mentioned that a third party's intervention should be invited for the settlement of the issue, it's wrong. India is Kashmir and Kashmir is India. It's our internal matter and no other country should have any say in it," Rahul said.

Leaping into the fray, NC leader Omar Abdullah defended his father's statement.

"My father isn't a Congress party member and doesn't need it's permission or approval before he voices his opinion. It's called free speech," Omar said in a tweet, reacting to Rahul Gandhi's firm dismissal of third-party involvement in Kashmir.

On camera Hurriyat 'terrorist' Bitta Karate said, "Lost count after killing 20 Kashmiri Pandits." Despite this, Bitta Karate is a free man!

After doing that, he is charged with terror funds? Wonderful.

A top source in the NIA told India Today: "There were feelers being sent by certain quarters in establishment to go slow in the case, keeping law and order in mind. We knew it is not going to be easy. We did not want to get into hassles of explanation and reasoning with the state establishment. We had enough evidence to nail them".

me like this very much...diplomatically we have more support to our side and indifference to paki bleatings, militarily - the army has free hand and is ramping up operations, politically - nationalist forces are sharing power and on the up, and money movement has become harder and now going after the rats. This truly has become a summer that turned this issue around so much..

Geelani’s son-in-law, 6 others held for funding Valley unrest

NEW DELHI: In a big crackdown on separatists in J&K, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested seven Hurriyat activists, including Syed Ali Shah Geelani's son- in law, for allegedly bankrolling stone-pelting and other subversive activities in the trouble-torn Valley.Altaf Ahmad Shah " Fantoosh", son-in-law of Geelani, along with other associates of the separatist patriarch, have been accused of bringing money from Pakistan by misusing LoC barter trade and through the hawala route, to fund the unrest which has claimed scores of lives, including those of security personnel. The arrests, which instantly triggered a shutdown call by Hurriyat, were being seen as evidence of the Centre's tough stance, as well as its refusal to hold talks with Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Shabir Shah as is being urged by many in the opposition and civil society activists.

Al Capone part is incorrect. He was freed after spending 8 years in jail and died 8 years later after his release.

http://indianexpress.com/article/india/ ... shmir-nia/
National Investigation Agency on Tuesday claimed they have “incriminating evidence” against all the seven accused. They were sent to 10 days NIA custody by a Delhi court.
The NIA claimed that the Hurriyat leaders used hawala money to create unrest in the Valley, NDTV reported on Tuesday. The money, funneled through Pakistan, was used to fund attacks on schools and stone pelting, the agency alleged.

http://www.indiatvnews.com/news/india-p ... day-393010
arrest of separatist leaders comes after the NIA found evidence of their telephonic conversation with some 48 Jammu and Kashmir youths who have been tracked repeatedly amid stone-pelting mobs over the past year.

The telephonic conversations revealed that these ‘habitual’ were in constant touch with local and mid-level Hurriyat leaders, who are believed to be connected to top separatists. It was also found that there was a terror-funding pattern with the top leaders passing funds to local leaders who would pay the youth to pelt stones and unleash mob violence.

The NIA analysed phone number active at locations witnessing stone-pelting protests intended to disrupt encounters between the security forces and terrorists. The investigation zeroed in at several common participants, with some of them present at as many as eight different locations at different times since July 8, 2016.

Focusing on youth present at three or more stone-pelting locations, the NIA drew up a list of 48 ‘habitual’ stone-pelters and tracked their phone call records as well as social media activity.

Many on the list were found to be in frequent touch with local and mid-level Hurriyat leaders. The telephonic connections of the latter extended to top leaders of Hurriyat, particularly from the hadline faction led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

“Phone call details of the alleged stonepelters show them to be in conversation with Hurriyat leaders with differing frequency over the past 11 months. We now seek to substantiate this technical evidence with investigation on the ground, starting with custodial interrogation of the seven Hurriyat leaders,” an NIA officer was quoted by Times of India as saying.

“The technical evidence unearthed by NIA shows several layers of communication-...there are multiple contacts between the seemingly 'professional' stone-pelters and the top Hurriyat leaders. Also, there is prima facie evidence of cash transfers from the Hurriyat leaders to the stone-pelters, indicating an 'organised' angle to the mob violence that followed after Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani's killing on July 8, 2016,” he added.

Those arrested have been brought to Delhi and will be produced before a court here today.

For the the first time since the rise of militancy in Kashmir in the early 1990s, a central probe agency had carried out raids in connection with the funding of separatists.

Srinagar police tried to stop NIA from flying arrested Kashmir separatists to New Delhi

Srinagar police tried to stop NIA from flying arrested Kashmir separatists to New Delhi

It was only after officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs intervened that the impasse at Srinagar airport ended.

Sudhi Ranjan Sen
New Delhi, July 25, 2017 |

The Jammu and Kashmir almost scuttled the National Investigative Agency (NIA) and its effort to crackdown on funds from Pakistan reaching separatists in the Valley.

Yesterday, as NIA team dashed towards Srinagar airport with the six Hurriyat Conference leaders in custody, they came up against an unexpected hurdle. And ironically it was another law enforcement agency - the Jammu and Kashmir Police that blocked its way. The local police didn't want the suspected leaders to be moved to New Delhi.

The NIA which is investigating slush funds reaching terrorists and separatists in the Valley, on Monday, arrested hardline Hurriyat chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani's son-in-law Altaf Ahmed Shah, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat's Ayaz Akbar and Mehrajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, of the Mirwaiz faction of the Hurriyat, Nayeem Khan of the Jammu Kashmir National Front and Peer Saifullah from the Valley.

For NIA, time was the essence and moving the suspects to Delhi was a priority. The apprehension was that the arrest could trigger another unrest.

As NIA hurried, the local police tried to delay them. The local police insisted on paperwork before the separatists were allowed to board the aircraft.

It is understood that a senior police officer was dispatched by the state government to block the NIA, top sources told India Today.

Explaining the reluctance of the Jammu and Kashmir government, sources told India Today that the Hurriyat leaders - now being questioned for receiving slush funds and further passing it on to stone-pelters and terrorists - were possibly being used the J&K government to reach out to separatists and get a grip on worsening law and order situation in the state.

After several rounds of back and forth between the NIA and state government, the issue remained unresolved and the stand-off between two law enforcement agencies continued.

Left with no option, the NIA escalated the issued to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), sources said and added "a stern message was sent to Jammu and Kashmir administration." The NIA, sources said, was even asked to book the J&K police officers in case they refused to relent and allow the suspect to the Delhi-bound commercial flight.

After high drama and a few tense moments, the suspected separatist leaders finally reached New Delhi in two separate flights last night.

The amount of rot that was existing in J&K govt/society is out there in open for everyone to see. This should have been anticipated. Only in our country we tolerate such traitors for so long and give them a royal arrest. Wish these people were tied to jeeps/horses like in the old b'wood movies and dragged on bangalore roads

hope that those arrested are getting free ayurvedic treatment from the NIA.

This exposes mehboob's hand in the "save the son in law" effort.

10 days NIA custody is not a dal lake picnic. testimonials are going to be called into play frequently.

This fantoosh bugger had a really worried look when he was shown on tv yesterday morning. No wonder.

I had posted this CT that NC politicians were using their men in Kahmiri police to arrange stone throwing. It is open secret that policemen and politicians get money in this thing. If these money handlers are caught, a lot of kashmiri policemen and politicians are in danger.

OIC's resolutions on Kashmir misleading', says India in firm rebuke

NEW DELHI: India on Monday strongly condemned the resolutions adopted by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) with regards to Kashmir and pointed out that it has no say whatsoever in the country's internal matters.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a firm rejoinder to the OIC, which had said during a recent foreign ministers' meeting that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was posing a threat to the peace and security of the region.

"India notes with utmost regret that the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), during its 44th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire on 10-11 July 2017, has again adopted certain resolutions which contain factually incorrect and misleading references to matters internal to India, including the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of India," the MEA said in an official statement on Tuesday.

Rejecting the OIC's claims of "gross human rights violations in Kashmir" and "the continued terrorism by India in the valley", the foreign ministry asked the organisation to refrain from making such inaccurate statements in the future.

"India out rightly rejects all such references. The OIC has no locus standi on India's internal affairs. We strongly advise the OIC to refrain from making such references in future," it said.

OIC secretary general Yousef A Al-Othaimeen had chaired the 44th foreign ministers meeting during which a resolution was adopted that the Kashmir issue would be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people and the United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions.

The secretary general had also "reaffirmed continued support to the people of held Kashmir in their struggle for the realisation of their right to self-determination", the Express Tribune had said in a report.
Adviser to the Pakistan Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had been present at the meeting, wherein he had highlighted "Indian atrocities" in the Kashmir Valley following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani on July 8 last year.

The OIC has 57 member states that include Turkey, UAE, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

It is high time that everytime these 2 rs (pakistani) nations talk about kashmir Indian junior officer makes a statement like
"Indian muslims including enjoy much more freedom and growth opportunities than these two rs islamic nations whose only contribution to today's geopolitical order is terrrorism. It would help OIC to work towards a transition to democracy, human rights/equality for women & legal immigrants and peace in region."

Whatsapp Being Used As Terror Tool In Kashmir !

This is how Pakistan-based terror groups used WhatsApp to fuel terror in Kashmir

he National Investigation Agency's (NIA) crackdown on Kashmiri separatists has revealed that terror funding activities in the state are being conducted through the popular social media platform WhatsApp.Seven separatists are already under arrest on charges that they took money from Pakistan to fuel unrest in the Valley.
According to the Times of India, the NIA has found out that there are at least 28 WhatsApp such groups with Pakistan-based creators, administrators and members, including cadres of the terrorist outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD).
"We have identified Pakistani numbers in the WhatsApp groups. Some of these numbers also show up in JuD posters and publicity material, confirming JuD link to the J&K youth who regularly pelt stones to disrupt ongoing anti-terror operations, allegedly on payment arranged by Hurriyat separatists," an investigator was quoted as saying by the TOI.
Till now, the NIA has zeroed in on 48 Kashmiri youth who were involved in three such encounter sites. The call details of these 48 people have further shed light on the involvement of local and middle-level Hurriyat leaders in such activities.Further analysis of their social media activities revealed they were in touch with other terrorist leaders. The NIA has said that it is zeroing down on these stone-pelters, and that it will soon be able to bring some top Hurriyat leaders under its scanner.

India hastens hydropower projects in Jammu and Kashmir
The government appears determined to utilise the provisions of the Indus Waters Treaty to the full

“There is no doubt that the speed with which these projects are being studied now is unprecedented. For example, the central power ministry was literally after our lives while seeking the submission of NoCs [No Objection Certificates] for Sawalkote and Kirthai projects,” the official said. He added that technical and economic clearance (TEC) for these projects was done within weeks in 2016 following a dithering of over 50 years from when the projects were first identified in the 1960s.

According to the anonymous JKSPDC official, Pakistan may be equally worried about the huge multi-purpose Ujh dam in Kathua (Jammu), though it is on the Ravi, one of the “eastern” rivers allocated to India for its exclusive use. Ujh is one of the main tributaries of the Ravi. So, under the IWT, its waters are for India’s “exclusive” use. But right now, it flows unhindered to Pakistan before meeting the Ravi. That is likely to be affected by the project. However, given the provisions of the IWT, Pakistan may not have any ground for complaint.

“This dam is quite huge as it is going to submerge a 41 square kilometre area with 116 metre high dam. I have never seen such vigorous activity regarding the investigation process of this project ever since it was envisaged some 20 years back,” the official said. Twelve villages may fall in the submergence zone.

You cannot kill an idea, you cannot jail an idea: Mehbooba on arrest of separatists

Signalling differences with ally BJP and its government at the Centre, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday criticised the recent arrests of separatist leaders, saying, “You cannot kill an idea. You cannot jail an idea”. Using her party’s 18th raising day rally to send across a rare and stern message to the Centre, Mehbooba also warned that her government would not allow any move to close cross-LoC trade and the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road link. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is reported to have recommended the closure of cross-LoC trade.

Mehbooba Mufti shows her true colours -

First, elements of J&K police try to delay/release Hurriyat Money Launderers.

Secondly, lobbying to keep cross border trade open despite NIA investigation showing immense money laundering. No doubt her personal finances are affected.

Hats off to NIA for their honest investigation unlike the Congress UPA Govt that allowed separatists to flourish.

Hoping the Central Govt does what is in National Interest.

Now, just wait to hear the globally applied logic of the "unwashed and the well and truly cornered, guilty minority".

Some jehadi ass will soon say "but these are only a misguided few and do not represent the peaceful majority who have nothing to do with this".

The majority should not be made to suffer because of a minuscule number of injudicious folks who need to be reformed and shown the error of their ways.

They have done it because they were aggrieved by the injustice of...................... (fill in your blanks as desired). The RSS is to be blamed for it

You cannot kill an idea, you cannot jail an idea: Mehbooba on arrest of separatists

What idea? A terror-laden tactic to kill and mass-relocate Pandits from their historic homeland in the name of religion?

Clueless Mehboobajaan is behind the curve here, almost thirty years behind. Is she equating terror with azaadi? Is that her definition of "the idea"? She should have first made her position clear by discrediting and then ripping into "the idea" of the unelected valley leaders supporting and abetting the tactics of terrorism, before counseling against "killing or jailing" it (the failed tactic). Yes, you can't imprison "an idea" but you can jail the ideators who promote terrorism.

Mehboobajaan has just overplayed her hand. Clearly, she is not a strategist but an opportunist.

look at her continuous history from a long long time ago

she is not a strategist, she is certainly an opportunist but most of all she is a separatist and a paki loving terrorist.

We may not be able to kill or jail ideas, but we can certainly kill or jail dudes who are having those ideas. The ideas die a quick death on their own after that.

It's a stupid statement to start with, since nobody is trying to kill or jail any ideas. It's a free country and anybody is free to 'ideate' on whatever they want within the framework of the laws of the land and the constitution - if these guys had stuck to just ideas they would be no different from the Pankaj Mishras and Arundhoti Roys of the world, in fact they would be valued for their comedic potential. It is the murderous jihad that we are targeting, and we sure as hell can kill it.

Spot on. In fact, she knows damn well that "you can kill an idiot and you can jail an idiot", and that is what is happening on a daily basis.

Plus what "idea"? Caliphate or Jihadependence....

NIA unearths J&K ‘protest calendar’ issued by Geelani

NEW DELHI: A detailed protest calendar issued and signed by Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani recovered by the NIA, points to the role of separatists in organising events in coordination with handlers in Pakistan that led to widespread violence in Kashmir.
The National Investigation Agency has found documents that list dates and when protests and other activities related to civil unrest was to be carried out in the Valley following the shooting of Hizbul Mujahideen leader Burhan Wani .

It was to be posted on the gates of their homes. NIA sources said that this showed that trouble-makers in the Valley had a list of all employees in government departments

Supplementary Source Of ( Terrorist ) Funding

Burqa-Clad Hizbul Terrorists Rob Bank In Jammu And Kashmir, Escape With 5 Lakhs

ammu and Kashmir: It was a usual Monday for officials till a group of at least three burqa-clad terrorists raided their bank in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag and escaped with over Rs. 5 lakh. The police said the incident took place at the Arwani branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank. Once they were inside, the men took off their burqas and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. Anantnag police have registered a case and investigating is on.
"We have studied the CCTV footage and we found that Hizbul terrorists are involved in the robbery. Efforts are on to arrest the culprits," a senior police officer said. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation announcement in November last year, the number of bank robberies in the Valley has gone up. Over a dozen banks have been targeted since.Last month, Jammu and Kashmir police had arrested Sandeep Kumar Sharma from UP's Muzaffarnagar for allegedly helping fund Lashkar-e-Taiba's terror activities by looting banks and ATMs in the Valley.
In June, unidentified persons in Pulwama took away an automated teller machine (ATM) of a private bank that had Rs. 5.40 lakh. In a similar incident in April, thieves decamped with a State Bank of India ATM containing Rs. 12.18 lakh in Anantnag.Earlier in May, five policemen and two guards from a private company were killed when terrorists attacked a bank vehicle in Kulgam. Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the attack. Two days later, two banks in Pulwama were robbed by terrorists in a span of two hours. Nearly Rs. 6 lakh in cash was taken.

"Randi-Baaz Rashid" Should "Come Out Of Closet" According To This Paki Politico

Is Sheikh Rasheed gay?

Sep 28, 2015

(old article but still relevant !)

Khawaja Saad Rafique shocked the world three weeks back when he revealed that Sheikh Rasheed’s usual fire against the Noora boys is limited to speeches only whereas in his usual interaction with them in Parliament, he resorts to giving them romantic looks! Though the great Khwaja refused to elaborate on this it is no secret that Sheikh Rasheed is a guy who has vowed to live as a bachelor throughout his life. This too is no secret that the Great Sheikh had many great opportunities throughout his decade as a federal minister to marry many available Pindi girls who looked up to their great Sheikh as a leader! (his decade as federal minister began with Nawaz Sharif becoming Prime Minister in 1997 and ended with Musharraf’s departure in 2008)
Nevertheless, our Sheikh rejected all the options and preferred to live as a bachelor! However if Sheikh gives his fellow male parliamentarians romantic looks than just what could be the meaning of this? Is he gay and that’s why he never married? When questioned by a TV anchor over Khwaja Saad Rafique’s allegation, Sheikh Rasheed instead of giving a proper denial, replied that he has got better taste than them! Just what possibly could Sheikh have meant by this! And why did he not deny that his carnal desires are not for men? Does he mean to say that he desires better looking men? These are questions Sheikh saab that you must come out to answer! Otherwise many judgements can be derived from this. The sooner the better! How will the "Islam Brigade" react to this disclosure

Here is the video in which Sheikh Rasheed replies to giving romantic looks to Noora boys!

PS: This "worthy's " name is being nominated as one of the PM candidate !!!

Art 35A and 370 should be struck off without further ado
excerpts from an article on the increase in fertility over the past decade in Kashmir Muslim women
Demographic design of the proxy war in the Kashmir Valley
This abrupt rise is restricted only to births in the Valley. In Jammu region, number of births has increased by only 19.3 percent, which is somewhat less than the rise in population of that region. In Ladakh number of births has declined by nearly a third," according to an analysis report released by Chennai based Centre for Policy Studies on Tuesday.

According to analysis, "While Total Fertility Rates (TFR) is declining everywhere else, TFR of Muslim women in the valley have increased from 2.6 to 3.9. This means that an average woman in the valley today can now expect to have 1.3 extra children in her lifetime."

Explaining how total number of births in Kashmir Valley has more than doubled in just a decade, Dr. J K Bajaj, Director, Centre for Policy Studies, Chennai, said, "Such drastic changes in fertility cannot be spontaneous. This can happen only when there is a conscious and concerted effort to encourage women to have more children. This would also require some organised effort by the community to support larger families, especially among poorer people. That is why I wonder whether these unusual numbers point towards another front of the ongoing proxy war in the valley."

Of the children born in the valley 99.13 percent are Muslim. The spurt in live births in Jammu and Kashmir is thus limited to the Muslims in the Valley. The rise is such that an average Muslim woman in the Valley can now expect to produce 1.34 extra children over her lifetime compared to what she could have expected in 2001, according to the report.

and
This spurt in births is almost entirely among Muslims. Number of Muslim births has increased by 84 percent, from 1.16 lakh to 2.14 lakh.

Number of Hindu births, on the other hand, has increased by just 17 percent, from 47.6 to 55.6 thousand. This rise in Hindu births is somewhat lower than the rise in their population.

The spurt in births is confined entirely to the Valley. In Jammu region, the number of births has increased by just 19 percent, and in Ladakh it has declined by nearly a third.

On camera Hurriyat 'terrorist' Bitta Karate said, "Lost count after killing 20 Kashmiri Pandits." Despite this, Bitta Karate is a free man!

An analogy is that if you borrow 5 lakhs from a bank, and can't return it, you are in trouble
If you borrow 50 crore from the bank, and can't return it, the bank is in trouble.

If you murder 1 or 2 people you are in trouble
If you murder more than 10 and pretend you are doing it for a cause, you will be feted by the politicians. You will get supari money offers, and might even be offered a parliament seat

All this has happened many times over, and over and over again.
