Nevertheless, there should be no market access for paki goods in the Indian market under the guise of "investor confidence".

Either zara understands our sensitivities and sympathetically sources from noncontrovertial supply chains or simply effs off, period

No surprise there. Didn't the greatest mard-ul-momineen ever to be produced by Pakistan, Gen. Zia-ul-Haq, tell Reagan that duplicity was allowed in Islam for a good cause?

If Zara thinks that Pakistan has more potential for its business than India, they are welcome to take steps to protect their interests.

I am yet to come across a "liberal" in Pakistan who holds the view that Pakistan should give up Kashmir claim and focus on development of whatever they have but you will find plenty of "liberals" in India who want Kashmir to be part of Pakistan.
This is true to some extent but it's not the whole truth. The fact of the matter is that a so-called liberal has the freedom to say stuff like that in India and they will get no blowback except some criticism and hand-wringing by a few people on social media and online forums like this one. A liberal who does the same in Pakistan will literally be killed or silenced by the 'establishment'. I am referring here to people who might genuinely be decent, not the snakes like BB, Sherry Rehman or Najam Sethi who gullible people on our side consider to be liberals or moderates just because they say the odd moderate-sounding thing on occasion.
Forget Paki 'liberals' in Pakistan but consider those Paki 'liberals' living comfortably in the west where their speech is well protected. Check the views of Husain Haqqani. He has gone full Paki against Paki deep state and will probably never set foot in Pakistan again yet when it comes to Kashmir his advice to Pakistan is to "pause" Kashmir agenda for a while and focus on economy. What's he saying is that once Pakistan becomes economically strong and independent, it has better chances of snatching Kashmir.

Courting another political verdict - Hussain Haqqani, The Hindu
Pakistan’s Supreme Court is an arena for politics, not an avenue for resolution of legal disputes. Unlike other countries where the apex court serves as the court of last appeal, Pakistan’s Supreme Court often entertains direct applications from political actors and generates high-profile media noise. In that tradition its judgment in the so-called Panama Papers case is a classic political balancing act. It raises questions about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s property in London, but does not remove him from office.

Opposition politician Imran Khan, currently a favourite of Pakistan’s establishment, initiated the case after Mr. Sharif’s name appeared in leaked documents about owners of offshore companies worldwide. The documents indicated that the Sharif family had borrowed money against four flats they own in London’s posh Mayfair district.

Show them the money

Having an offshore account is not in itself a violation of Pakistani law, but transferring money from Pakistan illegally is. Hence the case decided on Thursday revolved around the provenance of the money with which the Sharifs became owners of the property in London. In hearings that began in January, the petitioners insisted that the Sharif family’s ownership of this particular property could not have been possible without their possession of undeclared wealth or illegal transfers of money from Pakistan.

Instead of insisting on the time-honoured principle that accusers must prove their allegation beyond a shadow of a doubt and that investigations must precede judicial hearings, the Supreme Court acted politically. It asked the Sharifs to explain the source of money used to buy property abroad, forcing the Sharif family’s lawyers to offer various (sometimes contradictory) explanations at sensational hearings.

One of these explanations comprised a letter from a member of the Qatari royal family who said that he had transferred $8 million to the Sharif family as return on investments made in cash by the Prime Minister’s deceased father, Mian Muhammad Sharif, in the Qatari family’s real estate business in 1980.

The Qatar letter did not settle the matter because the Sharif family members had, at different times, given different explanations for the source of their funds. Moreover, the timelines of the acquisition of the London properties, the formation of the offshore company that was used to buy them and the apparent cash dealings in Qatar did not always align. In any case, a Qatari royal might be willing to send a letter for his friends, the Sharifs, but could not be expected to testify in person in Pakistan and submit himself to cross-examination, something that would be needed if the case ever went to proper trial.

The Supreme Court’s final verdict was split 3-2 among the five-judge bench, with two ruling that Prime Minister Sharif should be disqualified from holding office for failing to explain the source of money for his property. The majority said there was insufficient evidence for such a drastic step and instead announced the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) comprising five members.

These would include appointees from the Federal Investigation Agency, the National Accountability Bureau, the State Bank of Pakistan, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan and one representative each from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).

The fallout

The Prime Minister’s side breathed a sigh of relief that the court did not disqualify him from holding office, a decision it has given in the past for the removal of elected civilian Prime Ministers. Imran Khan, who wanted disqualification, declared victory even with the JIT’s creation. He and other opponents of the government are hoping that Nawaz Sharif will now bleed politically from the thousand cuts that are likely to be inflicted on him through reports emanating from the JIT.

Mr. Sharif has won elections before notwithstanding allegations of personal financial wrongdoing, but a new wave of charges could make things difficult for him in Punjab’s urban centres when Pakistan goes to the polls in 2018.

Ironically, the Supreme Court’s nearly 549-page judgment begins not by invoking some eminent jurist, but with a reference to Mario Puzo’s novel The Godfather, citing Balzac’s well-known words, “Behind every great fortune there is a crime.” But then most Pakistanis, including judges and military officers, have known for years that the fortunes of Pakistan’s uber-wealthy families come from bending or breaking laws or using political connections for private advantage. Why go looking into the origins of wealth now?

The creation of the JIT, and including two military intelligence service members who are not trained in matters relating to business and finance, says more about Pakistan’s judicial and political system than it says about the merits of this particular case. The issue in Pakistan is never corruption or failing to explain the source of funds for property. It is where someone fits into the permanent state’s scheme of things.

Nawaz Sharif was fine when he was picked up by General Zia-ul-Haq as leader of a military-backed Punjabi political elite after the coup of 1977. Courts and investigators seldom found anything wrong with the phenomenal expansion of his family’s wealth until he decided to start questioning Pakistan’s military establishment and, in recent years, even assert himself in core policy areas. Politicians can make money as long as they do not seek a role in policymaking. When Benazir Bhutto stood for a different paradigm for Pakistan, she and her husband were subjected to long-drawn legal proceedings over corruption. Asif Ali Zardari might have fewer problems on that score now after he is content to parrot the establishment’s views on national security and foreign policy. Nawaz Sharif is being put through the wringer to become more like Mr. Zardari and less like Bhutto.

As for the Pakistani Supreme Court, it intervenes to swing politics one way or another by favouring the country’s establishment against politicians or vice versa, to justify patently unconstitutional military takeovers and occasionally to embarrass one party against another. Unlike elsewhere in the world, its function is not just to determine the constitutionality and legality of judgments already given by lower courts.

As a victim of one such Commission (ironically, created on Mr. Sharif’s petition) in the so-called Memogate Case, I know that the principal damage inflicted by its proceedings is to public image. The Memogate Commission’s findings never led to criminal charges, not even an FIR, against me for any crime as none was actually committed. But its proceedings and comments created sufficient political noise for some Pakistanis to still think I am a fugitive from Pakistani law.

Signal from the deep state?

Generating smoke without fire against persons deemed difficult or uncontrollable by Pakistan’s permanent state establishment, the deep state, is often the greatest accomplishment of inquiries created by the Supreme Court on direct petitions like the one over the Panama Papers.

The JIT might still find nothing definitive for prosecution but Mr. Sharif is on notice. And that is how Pakistan’s system is designed to work.

Pakistan takes its China love to a whole new level with record tax breaks, translators

Pakistan is rolling out a tax red carpet for Chinese investors in the $56 billion economic corridor. According to a report in Pakistani daily Dawn, Islamabad is giving all sorts of tax breaks -- from customs, sales to federal and excise - to investors from Beijing in its push to outpace India with the Chinese-funded CPEC.

India has criticised the CPEC, which links China's Muslim-dominated Xinjiang province to the Gwadar deep-sea port in Pakistan, because it passes through Gilgit-Baltistan in PoK, which New Delhi considers its own territory.

Islamabad, according to the report, has handed out tax discounts close to $ 1.43 billion so far despite concerns of an adverse impact to its local industries and domestic investors.

The Chinese imprint in Pakistan is clear with Beijing overtaking the US as the largest direct foreign investor to Pakistan, funnelling in billions of dollars and revamping Islambad's decrepit infrastructure via the “One Belt, One Road” trade plan.

With relations frayed between the US and Pakistan, China has been strengthening its ties to the nation of about 200 million people after it pledged two years ago to loan and finance about $55 billion in the corridor. US direct investment in Pakistan stood at $505 million from July 2013 through January this year, compared with $1.82 billion that came from neighboring China, according to central bank data.

Chinese companies are in talks to snap up more businesses and land in Pakistan. A dozen executives from some of Pakistan's biggest firms say that Chinese companies were looking mainly at the cement, steel, energy and textile sectors, the backbone of Pakistan's $270 billion economy.

Analysts say the interest shows Chinese firms are using the "One Belt, One Road" project to help expand abroad at a time when growth has slowed at home.

"The Chinese have got deep pockets and they are looking for major investment in Pakistan," Muhammad Ali Tabba, chief executive of chemical firm that recently got some Beijing backing, told Reuters.

CPEC will connect China's Western region with Pakistan's Arabian Sea port of Gwadar through a network of rail, road and pipeline projects. That will be funded by loans from China, and much of the business will go to Chinese enterprises.

The scale of Chinese corporate interest beyond that is difficult to gauge, but in Karachi, Pakistan's financial centre, sharply-dressed Chinese appear to outnumber Westerners in hotels, restaurants and the city's airport.

Rising skyscrapers testify to a construction boom in the city, businesses are printing Chinese-language brochures and salaries demanded by Pakistanis who speak Chinese have shot up.

The Chinese interest comes as Islamabad and Beijing discuss the next phase of CPEC: how to build Pakistan's industry with the help of Chinese state-owned industrial giants.

Bilateral investment has grown rapidly also because the two countries have built up trust over the years. Pakistan, according to experts, is seen as an “all-weather strategic partner’ by the Chinese government, signaling a sense of unwavering support under all conditions.

China’s government plans to hold a summit, called the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, in Beijing in May involving about 20 heads of state. India has already expressed reservations on this summit.

China's interest also fans concerns that US President Donald Trump may cut economic and military funding to Pakistan, which is the sixth largest recipient of American aid. Trump’s fiscal 2018 budget proposal -- entitled “America First” -- called for “deep cuts” to foreign assistance with a 28.5 percent funding reduction for international programs, including the State Department and the US Agency for International Development.

" Shan " Ropes In Chini Motor -rama For Ad Promotion For "Biryani"

Shan Foods celebrates Pak-China friendship over a delicious plate of biryani[*][/b]

[*] Smell of "CPEC" is spreading far and wide; have they ( Shan Food ) come out with packet of Pork Biryani yet for the potential Chini- market [/color]
It's really as easy as feeding Pakistanis biryani ( Chinese love their pork ! they don't care an eff whether it is halal or not ; is this "biryani" up to Cheeni standards !) to win them over. Shan Foods gives us more reason to love thy neighbour in their new ad which shows a Chinese woman befriending her Pakistani neighbours over a plate of biryani.
The ad shows a newly moved Chinese couple in a Lahori neighbourhood struggling to make friends due to multiple barries: language and food. However, in a stroke of genius, the wife decides to make biryani and introduce herself to her Pakistani neighbours. ( Is Pork on sale in La-Whore  or is the "stuff" sourced from a Paki "farmer" in Raiwind for the "Chini- immigrant family" ; are Chini Massage Parlors cropped up yet ( like in Isloo !) in the neighbourhood ; is there another "Lal Masjid" in the making ? lots of unanswered questions  )
Her biryani turns out to be an instant hit and the Pakistani women cannot stop gushing over it. But is it fair to say that women only bond over food?Social media, on the other hand, is buzzing with people talking about the ad.After all, what better way to bring two people together than food, right? Is the neighbour hood Maulvi aware of the "new arrival" ; are they potential recruits of Malsi ; the famous Paki Mehman Nawazi on display ? Again lots of interesting questions awaiting an answer

Here's a message I got when I clicked on Yawn! website for updates on pajamagate or how the chinis are faring in their effort to own pakiland.
Dear readers,

As we greatly value the trust you place in us, we think it fit to apprise you that over the last three months, the Dawn Media Group has been under cyber attack. Multiple attempts have been made to hack and hijack our official social media accounts and the accounts of our staff.

If such attempts were to succeed, the Dawn Media Group would lose control over what gets published and the hacker(s) would acquire the dreadful power to post false, harmful and dangerous content to give an impression to the reader that the offensive posts emanated from Dawn or with its acquiescence. Hackers and malicious groups attempt to damage reputations and stir up virulent and negative campaigns to serve their agenda, and Dawn has already been a target of such online campaigns in the past.

While we are continuing to fortify our digital security, you may draw some comfort knowing that Dawn would never, under any conceivable circumstance, post or condone the posting of content, either on any website or its social media accounts, that is in violation of the law and our code of ethics, particularly hate speech, and content that is blasphemous, indecent, prohibited, illegal, or likely to arouse societal discord or disturb tranquility.

We hope you will stand with us in the fight against hackers who are bent upon spreading fear, hatred and disin-formation; who through their actions, are attacking our shared commitment to the progress of Pakistan.

Panama case: ‘Army to play due role in JIT for transparent probe’

ISLAMABAD: The army on Monday in a Corps Commanders’ Conference pledged that the institution through its members in the JIT shall play its due role in a legal and transparent manner, the ISPR said in a statement.

The Supreme Court in Panama case verdict on April 20th had directed to form a joint investigations team (JIT) including members from the ISI, MI, State Bank, SECP, NAB and the FIA to probe into the financial affairs of the Sharif Family.

The opposition parties had cast doubts on the transparency of the investigations saying that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would influence the probe as the concerned departments come under his direct supervision.

Senator Aitzaz Ahsan of Pakistan Peoples’ Party on Saturday said that ISI Chief is a relative of Sharif Family and rejected the JIT.

The forum, which met under the chair of COAS Gen Qamar Bajwa, pledged that institution through its member in JIT shall play its due role in a legal and transparent manner fulfilling confidence reposed by the Apex Court of Pakistan.

The conference, also reviewed progress of Operation Raand-ul-Fasaad.

Commenting on the development, analysts are of the view that this is a message to those who were targeting the army and tarnishing its image.

Director News Geo TV, Rana Jawwad said after the controversies around the JIT and army’s role in it, the army felt it necessary to clear the air and it is important that the highest forum of army has spoken on the matter.

Bakistan is well and truly a success story for radicalization. Erdogan must be furiously taking notes.. Any one could be accused of blasphemy at the drop of a Shalwar and painfully dispatched to the afterlife with no complication whatsoever. There is also the added benefit of being declared a Ghazi and getting french kissed by rocket pack wearing paki lawyers..

Yawn doing some serious preemptive musharaff covering.. But unfortunately the frenzied mob that eventually will eventually gather outside the yawn office will never get this memo..

Infact, the JIT walas are sure to propose that the time period for the JIT be extended some more months so that more 'evidence' can be gathered...
They'll probably want an office to be set up in Panama or Cancun to better investigate this serious Pajama scandal

Every paki momeen (and momeenette) is now a front line soldier (and, ergo, paki haveli is now a battle front) according to TSPA head gernail.

Every Pakistani a soldier in Radd-ul-Fasaad: COAS
General Bajwa vows to flush out terrorists from land of the pure (I did not make up this quote)
Qamar "Waist" Bajwa on Sunday called every Pakistani a soldier in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad...urging all citizens to be vigilant against terrorists
Let us clean Pakistan from ‘fasaad’ [mischief]
The video itself shows a man attempting to rent a car from a business owner illegally. When the owner asks the man for his identification, the latter presses him to simply lend him the car for extra money. The video then shows the man who rented the car using it to transport a suicide bomber to his target. 8)
Pakistan is at war with terrorists, mostly foreigners
Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav (a foreigner, let me remind you) was also arrested from Balochistan.
Every dark cloud has a silver lining - said djinnah in his Bakistan Resolution. One good thing will come out of this directive. Since all terrorists are foreigners and since all good bakis will learn to become informers, this will enable bakis to learn a second language and become truly global.

Fake News Once Again : Pakistan persuades Iran to join Saudi alliance

Pakistan cajoles Iran to join Saudi Alliance .
The Express Tribune has learnt through credible sources that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had given a special task to Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf.
Ausaf, who is considered a close confidant of the prime minister, last month travelled to Riyadh where he held a series of meetings including with Saudi Crown Prince to discuss the issue. More significantly, the attorney general is also scheduled to travel to Tehran in coming days as part of quiet diplomacy to ensure that Pakistan’s relations with Iran are not affected by the decision on the Saudi alliance.Ganja making his debut in international Ummah Diplomacy Urdu, English , Arabic or Farsi ( or Punjabi or universal "sign language" ) what will be the medium of communication
“It is good for both Pakistan and Iran as long as Gen (retd) Raheel is part of the alliance,” the official said. Is this some other "Raheel" or the same "Ruff and Ready" Jernail who violated diplomatic norms and openly accused the President Of Iran of (i) opening siding with India (ii) fermenting trouble in Paki Balochistan :D
A senior government official, however, insisted that staying out of the military alliance would have damaged Pakistan’s interests more. ( no more Saudi Moolah ?) He also strongly defended the decision to allow Gen (retd) Raheel to head it.

Serial Liar Cum Publicity Hungry Mush Again (Mis) Uses Indian News ( WION) For Propaganda :x

Musharraf likely to contest 2018 general elections
The Express Tribune > Pakistan
Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is likely to contest the 2018 general elections, he revealed during an exclusive interview with WION (World Is One News). The former Army chief stressed on the need to “create a third political force” to “introduce better practical democracy”.
“Yes, I am looking to relaunch my political career,” he said.
Musharraf, however, said he was not keen on becoming the prime minister of Pakistan. “I want to create a political force. A third political force. But not necessarily be the next prime minister,” said the former president.
Referring to Hafiz Saeed’s house arrest, Musharraf said, “Let me surprise you. The Hafiz Saeed issue is an issue in India, not in the United States.”“They maybe talk about Haqqani and Shakil Afridi… they don’t talk about Hafiz Saeed,
“I don’t think Saeed was behind the 26/11 attacks. In Pakistan, we don’t call him a terrorist,” said Musharraf.( did not the UN also sanctioned Hafeez - ur - Suar! Hope the naive interviewer had the guts to challenge him !) only India keeps talking about him,” he said while talking of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Referring to the current relations between Pakistan and India, Musharraf said, “If the current prime minister of India [Narendra Modi] wants peace, he is in the best position to go for peace with Pakistan. But he doesn’t want it.”

Pakistani female entrepreneurs develop speech software for patients
The Express Tribune > Business
KARACHI:
Two Pakistani female entrepreneurs – Shanza Khan and Rabab Fatima – have recently developed clinical software, aimed at assisting people with speech disorders. PS: Usually happens when " A Paki Dignitary" visits Iran on a goodwill visit or when an Senior Iranian Official visits Pakiland on an official visit . 10 killed as landmine blast hits van carrying census workers in Kurram
A passenger van hit a landmine in Godar area of Kurram Agency on Tuesday, killing 10 passengers, which included children, and injuring eight others, among them two census workers. The vehicle was on its way from Godar to Sadda, Parachinar when it hit a mine, injuring two census workers on board, security sources told DawnNews. The injured were shifted to a hospital where they are being treated for injuries. The army dispatched an MI-17 helicopter to Parachinar to assist in transferring the injured victims of the blast to CMH Peshawar, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but Shahid Ali Khan, assistant political agent for Kurram Agency, told Reuters militants planted a roadside bomb in the Kurram Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).“Among them is a baby and another nine-year-old child. Two women were also killed,” Doctor Mujahid Khan, a senior health official in the district told AFP.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's office said the premier had “directed relevant authorities to extend maximum support for treatment of the injured”.
Census workers have been the target of many attacks since the national enumeration exercise kicked off on March 15.
The latest attack on Monday saw a security official lay down his life while another suffered injuries in the line of duty in Kallag Kolanch, an area near the coastal town of Pasni in Gwadar district. The two personnel were deputed to provide security to a census team. Wait for RAA to be blamed !

.

So the "Islami Jinni," now out of the box, and initially nurtured by the Deep State , is now in the thorn of the Paki Establishment

China Bans "Mohammed" As A Name In Xinjiang Province

China bans some Muslim names for newborns in Xinjiang
Chinese authorities in the western frontier region of Xinjiang have banned parents from giving newborns Muslim names such as “Mohammed” and “Jihad”, the latest clampdown on symbols of Islam in an ethnically fractious area of China. Has this piece of news been broadcast/ published in the Paki vernacular and English language Press: Will Shan Food now change their "Parosi Ad" , promoting the arrival of the "Cheeni Immigrant Family " to La- Whore! Lots of fantasy scenarios come to mind
“We received a notice from municipal authorities that all those born in Xinjiang cannot have overly religious or splittist names,” said a public security official in Urumqi, Xinjiang’s capital. “If your family has circumstances like this, you should change your child’s name.” Subtle threat !
Those who do not comply with the new naming regulations will not be able to receive a hukou, or household registration, an essential identification document needed for access to education, welfare benefits and employment. So, they don't care an Eff about violating international norms and are serious about implementing this discriminatory measure. Will Pakistan protest this measure against their fellow Ummah Brothers
Foreign journalistic access to the region is restricted but China’s state-owned media report numerous clashes, often fatal, between police and suspected terrorists. In February, paramilitary police shot and killed three “terrorists” who stabbed to death five and wounded three in an impoverished Xinjiang county. Only a month before, police shot dead three other residents in the same county who were suspected of participating in an April 15 attack that went unreported in Chinese media.
How is it going to affect the Chinese Pakistan Exploitative Corridor AKA CPEC is anybody's guess !

Long Forgotten Paki Politico Comes Out Of Closet For Immy

Veteran politician Mustafa Khar joins Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf
Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar on Monday joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) after a meeting with party chairman Imran Khan."I agree with the PTI's manifesto and its leadership," said the veteran politician while speaking highly of the PTI chairman.Imran Khan on the occasion welcomed Khar to the party.Mustafa Khar was famously associated with the PPP as one of its founding members. During Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's government, Khar was appointed the chief minister of Punjab. However, he later fell out of favour with the party's senior leadership and was later associated with the PML-F and the PML-N. ( His Ex wife Tehmina Durrani is currently married to "clever brother" Shahbaaz; so he had found a home there also !) So true to form, like "most" Pakistani politicians , he smelled the political wind , and has now "shifted gear" in favour of the Kaptaan; in Pakistan such persons are AKA "lotta politicians" . Imran Khan's PTI is full of them
"Imran Khan will lead Pakistan into the future," said Khar, and added, "I will stand side by side with Imran Khan, as he struggles for a new Pakistan". :((
Earlier today, PPP-Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari made scathing remarks against Imran Khan, while addressing a rally in Mardan. "He [Khan] calls himself a leader of the youth. How can he be a leader of the youth? He is older than me. Bilawal is a leader for the young people," he said, referring to his son and PPP chairman. So, is he implying that Imran Khan has undergone cosmetic surgery- before his recent failed marriage - in Londonistan to improve his looks
In what may be a rebuttal to Asif Ali Zardari's speech, Khan said, "this is not the time for personal attacks. The need of the hour is to unite for Pakistan.""The privileged class of people in Pakistan ( a dig at Dus Percenti's Sindhi Wadera status? ) has a responsibility on its shoulders, to work harder than the common man, for greater good of the country," said the PTI chairman.

Hunt Is On For "MQM Supporters" In This Volatile Area Of Krachi

4 'militants' killed during hours-long Rangers operation in Karachi's Urdu Bazaar
Four suspected militants and a minor child  were killed during a raid carried out by Rangers personnel in Karachi's Urdu Bazaar area on Monday night, a press release issued by the paramilitary force said.Lasting nearly seven hours, the targeted operation ended at 2:45am on Tuesday, with one suspected militant shot dead in a shootout with Rangers and three other militants killed in suicide blasts. So, Karachi lives up to its "reputation" as one of the "most dangerous cities in the world " !
The Rangers in a statement said they had arrested a "most wanted" militant of a banned outfit while acting on an intelligence report in Ittehad Town. On the suspect's pointation, Rangers personnel launched a raid on a building in Urdu Bazaar at 7:17pm on Monday.Upon seeing them, the suspected militants opened fire at the security personnel with automatic weapons and lobbed hand grenades, leaving four Rangers men injured. When Rangers personnel surrounded the building, the four militants including a woman confined themselves into a room. As the name suggests, it is a stronghold of Urdu speaking persons, therefore would not be surprised that "militants" were MQM supporters . The Rangers are going after them like "sewer rats" regardless of collateral civilian damage !
Located on M.A. Jinnah road, Urdu bazaar is one of the oldest book markets in Pakistan. The bazaar is a hub for all services related to printing and publishing, with wholesalers selling paper, stationary and other materials required in the publishing industry.

Pakistan Now Seeks India 's Cooperation In The Census Exercise

Army contacts India through hotline to ensure safety of census teams near LoC
The Army on Tuesday contacted the Indian Army, through the hotline established between the two opposing forces, as part of a confidence building measure regarding the movement of civil and military enumerators near the Line of Control (LoC) as part of the ongoing census. The Indians were asked to inform their ground troops about movement of census staff in areas close to the LoC, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). India should proceed with caution in view of past experience with Pakistanis
The military’s media wing added that the step is aimed at ensuring safety and security of civil and military personnel following incidents of “unprovoked targeting and persistent ceasefire violations by Indian Army”. :((
Last minute notice to Indian authorities ; was this not planned ahead of time

Speaker blocks Opp’s resolution demanding PM’s resignation

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly speaker on Monday blocked the opposition’s move in the house demanding prime minister’s resignation, but allowed the treasury to adopt a resolution reposing full trust in “active and sagacious” leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
In Parliamentary tradition, once a person is elected as a Speaker, he is supposed to be non-partisan . But this tradition, I am guessing , is null and void in Pakistan. In Pakistan, at present, the provincial and national assemblies are in Ganja's pocket .

Begging Tender For $ 700 Million Being Announced

Borrowing-spree-continue-pakistan-now-seeks-700m
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan is seeking $700 million for balance of payments’ support in the next two months If you shop at the last minute, expect to pay a higher price ( in this case, if the seller is willing to sell to you - knowing your past record  from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and France, loans that are aimed at offsetting pressure from the external account that has come under strain due to a growing trade deficit.
The government is trying hard to receive both these loans before June-end aimed at supporting foreign exchange reserves that have been on the decline since expiry of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme in September last year. Confirms the earlier rumours that Pakistan is living from paycheque to paycheque and is utterly at the mercy of international creditors !
The sources said that the government was also making efforts to get a $300-million energy sector loan by June, but due to poor performance of the sector the government is facing difficulties in meeting prior actions.
The government has already borrowed $1.3 billion from China for balance of payments’ support while another amount of $750 million will be obtained within a month to repay the Eurobond floated in 2007. Basically, Pakistan is "living beyond its means "; one way of raising additional funds would be to ( secretively ) sell its family jewels to rich "relatives" like the KOSArabia away from the watchful eyes of Massa

Pakistan not violating any pact by not giving consular access to Jadhav: Basit
NEW DELHI: Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has rejected India’s assertion that it is violating a bilateral pact by not giving access to Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.Abdul Basit told PTI in an interview that as per the bilateral pact on consular access, cases pertaining to political and security issues, will be decided on merit, indicating that consular access cannot be taken for granted.Basit said Kulbhushan was caught in Balochistan and was tried for espionage and sabotage. He said that Kulbhushan had been travelling to Pakistan for several years and was carrying two Indian passports, including a fake one.Pakistani envoy said that the Indian spy was tried in a military court because it was not possible to try him in a civilian court. “We have a bilateral agreement under which it is clearly said that in matters relating to political and security issues, those cases should be decided on merit”, Basit added.

According To This Paki Analist , Ghani Wants "Moderate Taliban " Into Afghan Government

Bravo, new ISI narrative on Afghanistan
By: Naimat Ullah Khan
The new head of ISI is of greater significance for Afghanistan because of his strategic and academic expertise regarding Afghanistan. It is evident from the fact that the current DG, then Brigadier, did a research project titled “Afghanistan — Alternative future and their implications” during his Master degree in Strategic Studies from US Army War College, Pennsylvania back in March 2011. In this project, he proposed four alternatives and its implications in case of withdrawal of the US and NATO forces. In his academic endeavour, he has also endorsed the comments of the former US Commander General David Petraeus that “It’s not possible to resolve the challenges internal to Afghanistan without addressing the challenges, especially in terms of security, related to Afghanistan’s neighbours.”
Pakistan should play its role in convincing/pressuring the “moderate Taliban” to be a part of the Afghan government in peace building process. As the DG did not downplay Pakistan’s role in influencing Taliban, as he is suggesting in his thesis that “the United States should engage the Taliban with the help of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan so as to ensure that Afghanistan does not return to a pre-2001 state.” In army corridors, DG ISI is perceived a peace-loving person with a more strategist mind. Peace in Afghanistan is good for the whole region including all neighbouring countries. It will pave the way for building “One Belt, One Road”, reviving the centuries-old silk route, connecting China and South Asia with Europe through Afghanistan.

Govt should settle circular debt to save masses from sizzling heat: Isloo Chambers Of Small Traders
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders (ICST) on Tuesday asked the government to settle issue of circular debt to save poor masses from sizzling heat in summer.Honest customers should not be penalised for the inefficiency and mismanagement in the power sector, it said.
He said that government is not ready to settle circular debt which power subsidy has been blocked which has prompted power producers to stop pay the bill of PSO that can result in disruption of oil supply chain in the country. Meanwhile in the palaces of Ganja in Raiwind and the palatial mansion of Immy at Bani Gala , the supply of electricity goes uninterrupted ...

One meeting that Dimran Khan Niazi had with the Qadiani COAS, and Paki Tahreek-e-Insaf's future suddenly looks very bright.
Suddenly there are people joining PTI, people are starting to see Dimran Niazi as the future PM of LaLa Land.

These photo ops are used by Pakis to signal to the domestic constituency about their closeness to the high and mighty.

One can understand this in the context of Paki PMs, Presidents & Dictators meeting presidents and PMs of foreign states. These guys use these for buffing up their image back home.

The same thing happens when they hold a dialogue with india. They get an oppertunity to grandstand, while everyone knows that they just don't want to solve any issue, they actually profit from the status quo - the politicos and fauj in Pakistan are part of this industry

Dus Percenti Morphing As A Demagogue

Zardari dubs Nawaz as ‘student of Gen Zia’
MALAKAND: PPP Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has dubbed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a ‘student of Gen Ziaul Haq’, saying he was carrying forwarding the agenda of the former military dictator.“I will retrieve whatever these dacoits have looted,” the former president vowed while addressing a public gathering here on Tuesday. Speaking about the CPEC project, he said that the project had been initiated for Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Balochistan. The project is viable today only because we  constructed the Attabad Lake route.
Criticising the foreign policy, he said that problems for Pakistani’s living abroad had increased manifold. He said that the judges had also remarked ‘Go Nawaz Go’.On the occasion, the former president while referring to the PTI chief also chanted ‘Go Jaali Khan Go’ (Go Fake Khan Go). As far as "streets politics of Pakistan " is concerned , this sleezy high school dropout has come a long way !

IK is too much of a loose missile to be made PM of Bakistan. With NS already in pocket, why should Army get a new guy in the chair which can bring its own set of problems. Anyways Pak army will be busy minting money out of CPEC and fighting imaginary battles on western front for next few years while eastern front is outsources to Chinese to manage so who needs IK.

I wont be surprised if NS is again selected to lead Bakistan for next 5 years while IK is given Punjab to rule.
