Now, in uq, if they want to bring a bill against companies doing business in Russia, Infosys will come up and sunak's (rather his wife's) involvement would be an issue.

If this issue is cleared first, then it is easy to target (indian) companies without any issues like conflict of interest and such.

Indian Express seems to have some setting with the Whites. This paper is the first one to jump to defense of any Western academician barred from entering India, and tries to project that the White professor is very "eminent and world-renowned" and Indian Govt action is unfair and vindictive. This paper has been at it for years. I have noticed a pattern. Notice how it has labeled the anthropologist as "renowned" in the headline.

Audio of British Def. Sec. Wallace entertaining Ukrainian nuclear ambitions on phone call w/ a prankster he believed to be the Ukrainian PM was just released.

The MoD insists YouTube take it down, calling it Russian propaganda —and “a substantial risk to UK National security”

wonder what the agenda is this time, especially after the britshit parliamentary delegation was refused the nod to "visit" India

when dealing with the britshits, just carry a big stick, never you mind about speaking softly

dangling new security and defence toys now, are we....

The britshits are very quick out of the gate, eagerly hoping to replace some of the items that putin would normally have sold us

on the one hand, they are part and parcel of the ameriki sanctions imposing regime to cripple the russkis and as "a nation of shopkeepers" keen to beat the queue lining up to take up the slack in the weapons trade with India

even after all these years, it seems like nothing has changed in "merrie olde england" and her less than subtle "once more unto the breach" sense of insensitive and exploitative enterprise

will tante truss be as condescending and imperious as the blocked parliamentary delegation with their colonial airs of pretentious la-di-da or has she arrived suitably chastened, hat in hand

Nothing meaningful will be obtained by any tie-ups with BritshitStan. What exactly do they have that India wants? Tatas bailed out Jaguar/LandRover. The model of looting still continues. The west requires outside talent to grow their economies. A large contingent of Indian immigrants are holding the fort. An average Brit is loud mouthed has nothing upstairs to contribute anything meaningful to the world. The media is full of wishful thinking, boring lectures on their version of morality and bravado for a waning empire. India should insist on reparations for its dead soldiers of WW 1 & 2 and deliberate famines (100 T pounds), return of all artifacts, jewels, gold (200T pounds) it took from India and then we in India can consider these chaps for a meaningful relationship.

I think the agenda is that Biden sarkar has decided that India is an unreliable, "shaky" partner in the QUAD (post Ukraine). Hence, someone else is needed (making it a PENT?) to keep India in line. Who better to do this than the Briturds, who bore the white man's burden of teaching India's natives the value of civilization back in the day.

tante truss came empty handed and she will almost certainly return empty handed too. Spoons and forks will be carefully counted and numbers tallied

there was a time, not too long ago, when the Indian PM would have invited such highborn for a sumptuous meal, kissed the ring and had a quiet chat before singing on the dotted line

Alas, now only the unwashed Hindutwa gawars will deign to deal with such pesky visitors, and that too, far away from the PM's conspicuously frugal and vegetarian only table

the britshits are well aware of the lowly standing that they have reduced themselves to.

India has to de-emphasize QUAD, especially after AUKUS and the recent Ukr crisis. Yes, we can have joint ops for policing things on high seas but that is the end of QUAD, nothing more, nothing less. What India has to do is to Create Its Own Version of NATO with other like minded South-Asian nations and co-opt Japan, Korea into the mix. This will provide better security than QUAD (the Aussies are a useless appendage). With such a coalition, China will be willing to hear the group carefully before any adventure. The combined might of such a coalition is a force to reckon with. This coalition is what the UK opposed for a long time during the Raj period and continued it afterwards. It takes some vision and leadership to make all this happen. Many Asian nations are happy to have India take leadership, they are very wary about China.

The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and Minister for Women and Equalities, United Kingdom paid an official visit to India on March 31, 2022.

2. External Affairs Minister, Dr S. Jaishankar, held bilateral consultations with the visiting Minister and conducted the annual strategic review of the Roadmap 2030 agreed between the Prime Ministers during the India-UK Virtual Summit 2021. The two Ministers expressed satisfaction on the progress achieved so far and agreed to further intensify efforts to deliver results in priority areas of trade and investments, defence and security, migration and mobility, education, S&T, climate cooperation and green energy.

3. Both sides appreciated the substantial progress made in the India-UK FTA negotiations with two productive rounds already completed since their launch in January 2022.

4. The two sides also discussed the implementation of the Migration and Mobility Partnership which has the potential to bring the people of both countries even closer. They also discussed the modalities of instituting the Strategic Tech Dialogue to enhance cooperation on new and emerging strategic technologies like 5G, AI and quantum.

The two Ministers agreed to resolve legacy issues and deepen defence and security cooperation including in defence co-development and co-production, and enhance capacities to address growing threats in the cyber, space and maritime domains. India welcomed the UK’s interest in participating in its national defence manufacturing programme through Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. They agreed to consult intensively on this.

6. they don't want to be upstaged on the QUAD membership proposals and fear being left out of any grouping that includes India and so the britshits are very directly making this QUAD point to India in an open press conference after tante truss must have made this a major talking point in the discussions

I think that India's independent stand has left them all quite apprehensive and they don't to be caught without a chair when the music stops

they have realized that the mafia famiglia is down and out for the count and, most importantly, India can no longer be counted upon to be the west's gungadin, a la showering in a raincoat person

the "defence" carrot is vigorously being waved by all the whiteys.

the only option that they all have is to leverage the pakis to keep the border hot

So, bajwa will stay put in the short to medium term while the selected fall guy niazi takes the hit as well as the blame

Wondering what UK FS was thinking when she planned the visit (on Unkils behalf). Some time I think that all these MI6,MI7,MI8 are only good for James Bond films. Can one imagine the naiveness of people who briefed her before the visit. Or old Boris wanted to make her the sacrifice goat.

Actually Truss appeared to justify why UK is going overboard with sanctions multiple times with mea culpas regarding how UK let Ukr down after signing Budapest accords etc.

Her harping on democracy, who they will do business with etc plus funny accent dragging the last syllable were as amusing as snooty...

I was hoping the student who got up would ask when will UK return the stolen Indian artefacts from British museums. That would have been real fun!

the britshits are being to forced to go to bat for the amerikis

The amerikis seem to have called in some pending favours

Since they panicked and abandoned ship in 1947, the britshits haven't, in these decades past, exactly been the flavour of the month in many Indian circles. It is beyond their comprehension that in a mere 70 odd years, India has risen once again to a stature where her economy surpasses that of the britshits. The edwina sweet spot has long since evaporated into the thin air

the britshits are skating on thin ice as far as sanctions are concerned, especially with not many in europe being agreeable to being railroaded by the amerikis.

Jaishankar, with his cold logic, has forced her on the backfoot on a particularly sticky wicket.

All in all, it was an ameriki schitt show with tante truss and her britshit brigade cast in a minor supporting role

she and daleep did everything possible, short of parking a gunboat in the bombay harbor.

the older days were so much simpler and the gungadin natives were not uppity at all

India is "ruthlessly unsentimental" toward us

Former UK National Security Adviser and Ambassador to the US Kim Darroch says UK has a “warm and fuzzy” view of India, but India is “ruthlessly unsentimental.”

He doubts a UK-India trade deal is possible (that’s not exactly what his former colleagues are saying).

We like a Banker can remind BoJo that he owes 300T and when does he plan on returning the amounts. If not like Banker, cease all his assets, including his precious Island nation. All of the Queens gold and jewellery confiscated by India, all Bank of England gold stash (mainly stolen from India) gone. No more nation left called BritshitStan, they will work for India over 300yrs to repay all the debt.
