Hafiz Suar Behind Rohingyas Agitation

Pakistan, ISIS allegedly behind Rakhine imbroglio

Indian and Bangladesh intelligence officials say that they have intercepted three long duration calls between Hafiz Tohar, military wing chief of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) on 23rd and 24th August that hold the key to why the militant group unleashed the pre-dawn offensive against Myanmar security forces. This is the other side of the "story", not publicized in the MSM. !
Hafiz Tohar set up the Aqa Mul Mujahideen (AMM) and was trained in Pakistan by the dreaded Lashkar e Tayyaba (LET) after he was recruited by Abdul Qadoos Burmi, the chief of Harkat ul Jihad al Islami -Arakan (HUJI-A) from Kyauk Pyin Siek village of Maungdaw in 2014.He merged his group into the ARSA after it was formed in the summer of 2016 and is widely believed to be behind the deadly attacks on Myanmar security forces from October 9-10 last year and on Aug 25 this year.
Following the training of a few initial recruits of the AMM in Pakistan, new cadres were recruited from among Rohingya youth in Rakhine State and refugee camps in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazaar. They were then trained in camps set up on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, specially one at Naikhongcherri in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. One "Major Salamat" of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, deputed for under cover operations with the LET,was responsible for these training during April-May 2016.
63 JMB activists from Bangladesh responsible for the suicide bombings in that country and 88 ARSA activists were trained in the Naikhongcherri base in April-May 2016, according to information revealed by two top JMB activists when interrogated by Bangladesh intelligence. This base was recently raided by the Bangladesh army, and six JMB rebels were captured. During interrogation, they confirmed information about this base and the joint JMB-ARSA training stint conducted by ISI that Bangladesh intelligence had garnered from top JMB leader Abul Kashem.Kashem's information led to the raid on this hideout three months ago.
They found contact numbers of one "Brigadier Ashfaq' and of 'Major Salamat' of ISI and one ISIS recruiter in Iraq.Bangladesh intelligence put these numbers on surveillance and also passed their numbers to Indian R&AW external intelligence agency which has superb Signals Intelligence capabilities with a regional reach.
These three calls simultaneously intercepted by Bangladesh and Indian intelligence makes it clear ARSA and their backers (ISIS and ISI) were determined to cause problems for the Aung San Suu Kyi government which had committed to set up an inter-ministerial committee to implement the recommendations made by Kofi Annan-led Rakhine Commission. It is nor clear whether Bangladesh or India raised a red flag with Myanmar to warn them of an impending attack.
That would explain why India and Bangladesh, mindful of their own security threats, have not bought into the narrative of 'genocide' as some in the West and many in the Islamic World have."The ARSA is determined to thwart Daw Suu Kyi's good intentions to implement the Kofi Annan report. They want to brutalise the discourse in Rakhine and help re-militarise the area so that the narrative of torture and extra-judicial killings help them boost the level of jihad and find recruits," said a top Bangladesh intelligence official.

Right back at ya!

The world must do more against terrorism: COAS Gen Bajwa

"If Pakistan has not done enough in this war, then no country in the world has done anything," he asserted. 8)
"Only Pakistan has seen this level of success with such limited resources. From Operation Sher Dil, to Rah-i-Rast, Rah-i-Nijat, Zarb-i-Azab and now Radd-ul-Fasaad, we have paid for each inch [of gains] with our blood."
"And now, I say that the world must do more."
"We don't want aid, we want your respect and confidence"
"I would like tell misguided people that whatever you are doing is not jihad but fasaad. Your country and your people are being hurt the most by your actions"
Pakistan is a responsible nation
Since 1971 Pakistan has remained a victim of terrorism
"Although the army can end terrorism, to gain control over terrorism and extremism it is necessary that every citizen is a soldier of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad"
we will not tolerate anyone shaking our foundations

Take that Trump! Tweet that!!

BRICS declaration signifies no change in policy towards Pakistan: Chinese ambassador

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong on Wednesday assured Pakistan that nothing new has been demanded of it with respect to the recently-adopted BRICS declaration against terrorist groups.
"There has been no change in Chinese policy regarding Pakistan."
He also said that Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif's upcoming visit to China expected to take place later this week is in the context of the BRICS declaration

Phew! For a moment the pakis were under the impression that would have to reform.

In his talk(fart) show one Porki said why is the world asking Islamic countries to divide the number of Rohingya's and settle them in their area ?Rohingya's should be free to settle wherever they want to. The 56 Islamic countries should otherwise contribute some soldiers each and invade Burma. They should do direct action.

"Russian Experts" Confirm That Pakistan Has A New Suitor: China ! :D

Not terrorist groups but Pak-China strategic relations is cause of friction in Pak-US ties: RT

MOSCOW: Experts in an interview with RT revealed that the true reason for fallout between Islamabad and Washington is not related to terrorism, but rather to the growing influence of China in Pakistan. In recent years, Beijing has been increasingly influencing the regional alignment of forces. It is this expansion of Pakistani-Chinese contacts that allows Islamabad to pursue a more independent policy toward Washington.© AFP 2017 The US seems dissatisfied with this growth of Chinese influence in the region especially against the backdrop of the escalation of the Sino-US contradictions over the disputed islands in the South China Sea, North Korean issues and also on trade and economic issues.
“Preconditions for fallout between the United States and Pakistan existed for a long time,” political analyst Boris Volkhonsky said in an interview with RT.
“Islamabad has long and steadily reproached with Beijing and now it is China that is becoming the main investor in connection with the construction of the Sino-Pakistani economic corridor. And this, of course, does not suit the US at all – this is the real cause of friction, not Islamabad's policy in Afghanistan,” Volkhonsky said. So, according to this "theory", Pakistan has no hesitation in "sleeping" with anyone, provided "the price is right"

"leading intellectual person in Pakistan"

Right there is the problem with our assumptions. A trifecta of words in direct conflict with each other.

Somehow, "intellectual" and "pakistan" do not go well together. Almost oxymoronic! Then the descriptive word "leading" before any thing associated with pakhanistan is an insult to the intelligence of the average reader on BRF. As we all know, everyone in that benighted land is 'leading" this and "leading" that. Heck, Syed (pbuh) "mahdi" zaid ham-eid urf saudi-sheikh-chilli is a leading scholar of everything. He is well liked in saudialand.

This man is now wajib-ul-qatl, for sure.

The wall of BRICS

Pakistan, where for more than a quarter century, our state has come to be virtually held hostage by a reality that we have been denying in almost every forum around the world. This reality is that within Pakistan, as a matter of official policy, violent militant groups have been nurtured, trained, supported and nestled within the general population for use as assets in an underground geopolitical game that we have tried to play in the region.
...it has become an act of wilful schizophrenia to actually deny it now...
Now we have China, we were told, which will stand by us and has no intention of similarly wagging a finger at us on this point. And with China we have CPEC, which is our road to future prosperity
But there is a reason why Pakistan has had such a difficult time getting the world to recognise this simple reality: because we have been lying to ourselves and our allies about the nature of our involvement in this war all along. If Abbottabad didn’t establish this, surely the death of Mullah Mansour on Pakistani soil, with Pakistani credentials in his pocket, did.

OUCH!

China's endorsement of BRICS declaration, which is also seen as a significant diplomatic victory for India, was sharply criticised by a Chinese think tank, saying that it would strain close relations between China and Pakistan.

"It is beyond my understanding how China agreed to this. I don't think it is good idea," Hu Shisheng, Director of the official China Institute of Contemporary International Relations told PTI.

"This will irritate Pakistan. I don't think when the BRICS declaration is made, Pakistan is consulted. In the coming days Chinese diplomats have to explain to Pakistan. This is too costly to China. Pakistan will be very upset. After Trump denouncement of Pakistan, it is already feeling pressure. I feel little strange," he said.

Hu Zhiyong, a research fellow at the Institute of International Relations of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences told state-run Global Times today that "stressing counter-terrorism shows that the BRICS summit, which started from business cooperation, has expanded its cooperation to a more comprehensive level".

"China is also a victim of terrorism and is firmly against any kind of terrorism, and that's the main reason that the organisations are named in the declaration," Hu said.

Seems to be the CHinese version of getting Chaddis tied in a knot

That's not surprising.

We should avoid mixing up ISIS here in order to clearly see the LeT and the PA hand.

I hope PM Modi & Ajit Doval have conveyed the appropriate information to Myanmar. Indian counter-intelligence support is crucial for Myanmar.

The above article gives details after c. 2016. I give below some details before that period.

As early as c. 2007, Late B.Raman estimated the strength of HuJI(B) to be about 700, consisting of native Bangladeshis, Rohingya Muslims from the Arakan area of Myanmar and Pattani Muslims from Southern Thailand.

In Oct. 2010, the Thailand police arrested 15 Pakistanis on money transfer relating to the Islamist-insurgency hit southern Thailand.

In c. 2014, LeT extended its footprint along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border using the issues involving the Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims in the Rakhine province. JuD deputed a two-member team, comprising its spokesperson Nadeem Awan and publications wing member Shahid Mahmood Rehmatullah, to strike relationships with like-minded Islamist groups. JuD also created Difa-e-Musalman-Arakan Conference (Defence of Muslims in Arakan). LeT has also established a close contact with the Rohingya terror group Aqa Mul Mujahideen (AMM) through Abdus Qadoos Burmi, a Pakistani national of Rohingya origin, who is the HuJI-Arakan Chief and who is also a good friend of LeT Chief Hafeez Saeed. Jamat ud Dawa (JuD)’s humanitarian arm, Falah-e-Insaniat (FiF), was active in Rohingya relief camps in Rakhine State after the 2012 riots.

Sridhar sir, need to look at the US role as well. It looks suspiciously like the great game, South East Asia version - to contain the Chinese efforts to have an alternate to their Malacca choke point.

The template of co-opting Pakis and using them with their jihadi foot soldiers seem eerily similar to Afghanistan-Soviet Union

This guy is hateful Islamist to the core and often makes open attacks on Hinduism/Buddhism/Christianity on air, that would be considered extreme hate speech in any other country.

However, none of that is surprising. What is though is that he was given a visa to tour India a few years ago!

Manish, IMHO that is true only if we subscribe to the fantastic theory that somehow Professor Hafeez Saeed and his LeT/JuD are sword arms of the GotUS/PotUS.

We know that the US has flirted with and even consummated relationship with extremist jihadi Islamism in the forms of Muslim Brotherhood, Mujahideen groups, Taliban, United Jihad Council of Kashmir, ISIS etc. And yet, I am unable to believe in this.

This Farticle "Tries" To Deflect Suspicions About Pakistan's Nefarious Role In Giving Nuclear Technology To North Korea !

Pakistan, North Korea's mutually beneficial ties have long been a source of suspicion for West

North Korea is currently facing the possibility of additional sanctions against it, with the United States accusing Pyongyang of “begging for war”. At a time of uncertainty following its recent nuclear test, North Korea is likely to look to countries which over the years have enjoyed strong relations with it.Pakistan and North Korea established diplomatic ties in 1971 and since then, the two countries have maintained a mutually beneficial relationship — one that has often been scrutinised by the Western world. US should "go after" Pakistan for supplying nuclear technology to NoKo, rather than just "making noises"
North Korea — officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) — formed its separatist government in 1948, a year after Pakistan's independence. But it wasn't until the 1970s that the ties between the two countries started taking shape.
Two agreements were reportedly signed on September 18, 1971; one for the supply of conventional weapons to Pakistan and the other to set up mutual consular relations. The following year, on November 9, the countries developed diplomatic ties. Today, North Korea has an embassy in Islamabad and consulates in other cities while Pakistan has an embassy in Pyongyang.
...Western powers who have accused Pakistan of providing nuclear technology to North Korea, enabling the country to develop a nuclear bomb. Pakistan has denied the accusations. Just like it denied that it was unaware that OBL was in Pakiland, and Mullah Omar was not directing "operations" from Quetta !
Later in 1993, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto visited North Korea and reportedly signed an agreement with the North for the purchase of long-range missiles and in exchange, offered civilian nuclear technology ( If reports are to be believed , she was carrying CDs- of classified info- in her winter overcoat !)
and encouraged North Korean students to study at Pakistani universities. NoKo education is far ahead in math and science than Pakistan's . And I doubt that the atheist NK can learn much from The Book
Later, in a tit for tat move, Dr Khan reportedly alleged that North Korea had bribed senior Pakistani military officials for nuclear secrets. The said officials categorically denied the report, terming it “totally false”.According to the Washington Post, the nuclear scientist released a copy of a letter from a North Korean official, dated 1998, which gives details of the transfer of $3 million to a former army chief, and $500,000 and some jewellery to another military official. Both denied the letter’s authenticity to the Post.In 2010, the last regular sea cargo route between Pakistan and North Korea was suspended but reportedly, at least one major Pakistani company continued to offer shipping service to Pyongyang.
Recently, North Korea has been facing off against the United States, with both showing their military might and warning each other of a possible attack. The world is not fully aware of Pakistan's nefarious role in supplying nuclear technology to rogue states !
Pakistan's carefully worded statement comes at a time when the US and even North Korea's allies, including Beijing and Moscow, are trying to pacify the situation by urging Pyongyang to show restraint. Pakistan cannot be seen, in the eyes of the world, not to condemn the nuclear tests !!!
Defiant Female MNA Challenges Immy Khan' s One Man Show :D

Imran Niazi has no right to remove me from PTI: Ayesha Gulalai

Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai has once again slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan stating that he has no right to oust me from the party. "I have not left PTI never will," she asserted. She was talking to media outside Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) where she appeared because PTI has issued a notice for removing her from the party. "I have given my everything to this party," she stated. ( including "pouring her heart and soul" via social media - texting, sexting, etc etc to the Leader Of The Party, in the Leader's preoccupation for female companionship )
While hitting Imran Khan's character, Ayesha Gulali said that Imran Khan's characterless and politics of deceiving will not work anymore. "PTI is lying as usual," she claimed. "PTI is not property of Imran Niazi," she added. IMO,she is "wrong" on that score, because Kaptaan is PTI and PTI is Kaptaan

More Closure On 1993 Mumbai Blasts !
1993 Mumbai blasts: Abu Salem, Karimullah Khan sentenced to life in jail

MUMBAI: Abu Salem and Karimullah Khan, two of the five convicts in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, were on Thursday sentenced to life in jail by a special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act court. On March 12, 1993, serial blasts in the city killed 257 and left over 713 injured.
The sentencing comes after extensive arguments were made by the prosecution and defence since June 16 when the court had convicted Salem, Merchant, Feroze and Karimullah on charges of criminal conspiracy , murder and indulging in acts of terrorism that cause death. Siddiqui was found guilty on the lesser charge for abetting and aiding terrorism.
The main trial of 123 accused ended in 2006 with the conviction of 100. Yakub Memon, brother of prime absconding accused Tiger Memon, was hanged in 2015, and the others have served or are serving time.

Sex - Hungry Paki Duped Into Marriage By A Pakjabi Hijra

Man duped into marrying transgender in Punjab

CHINIOT: A man in Punjab was duped into marrying a transgender person, who fled shortly after robbing him of money, Geo News reported on Thursday.52-year-old Gulzar, a resident of Chiniot district, contracted a second marriage with the bride, named Sonia, in court after paying Rs150,000 to the ‘fraud’ gang comprising Ghulam Nabi and Safdar, who pretended to be relatives of the bride. The gang administered the man’s nikah three days before marrying off their accomplice (a transgender) to Gulzar. It was not until the man brought the bride home ( and probably took off her / his shalwar !) when he realized he had been duped into marrying a transgender.According to reports, Gulzar had wanted to marry for the second time as he has no child with his first wife. So he was a victim of a "hijra con game " Wonder if an FIR was filed

Church Pulpit Mis-Used For Political Preaching By Maryam Sharif

Cathedral forced to apologize after Maryam Nawaz’s political speech from the pulpit

After severe criticism, the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Lahore was forced to issue an apology for letting PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz Shareef make a political speech from the church’s pulpit.
However, along with an apology came a clarification too. Fr Francis Gulzar claimed that the church was contacted by Provincial Minister Tahir Khalid Sandhu and MPA Shakeel Marcus that Maryam Nawaz Shareef wished to visit the church to say prayers for her mother, Kulsoom Nawaz, who was recently diagnosed with throat cancer.
IMO, the right venue for such an occasion should be a neighbourhood ( Saudi built ) masjid or if you are sympathetic towards the Barelvi Brand of Malsi , the nearest Dargah would suffice
But in a turn of events, Maryam Nawaz Sharif also used the church’s pulpit, making a political speech which resulted in hurting of the sentiments of many followers. This is a clear attempt by the "heir apparent" to court the Masih ( Christian ) vote and garner sympathy for her ailing mother in the by election that is being scheduled in the very near future !
Issuing the clarification, Francis said, “Keeping in mind that a place of worship is a home of prayers, the church allowed Maryam Nawaz to visit. It was decided unanimously that the lady will speak about herself and her family members’ association with Christian schools.”Soon after interacting with the people present in the church and saying prayers for her mother, came Maryam Nawaz’s political speech. NA-120 of Lahore has been under the heat of country’s current political scenario after Nawaz Sharif was sent home by the Supreme Court. This proves once again, that the word of a Paki politico, whichever political stripe he or she may belong to, cannot be trusted !
Issuing an apology in a video message, Fr Francis reiterated that the church will stay open for anyone who wishes to pray but it will not allow the church’s pulpit to be used for political gains in the future. This is not the first time that a member of the Sharif family has been indulging in PR- giri in front of minority groups to project the (wrong) impression that all is well with Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in the "Land Of The Pure". The reality is otherwise, going by everyday media reports

BOL ( Deep State Mouthpiece ) Caught In Net Of "TV Police" For Anti- Pakistan Remarks :D

PEMRA Sends Notice to BOL Over Hamza Ali Abbasi’s ‘Anti-Pakistan’ Remarks

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), on Wednesday, issued a show cause notice to the private TV channel Bol News for its programme “HQ Debate”.The authority claims that the host, Hamza Ali Abbasi, allegedly passed derogatory remarks about the Pakistani passport. The Green Passport is of course "open to attack" at all immigration counters all over the world, but apparently not in the Land Lund Of The Pure
PEMRA states that airing of such derogatory remarks can spread hatred and provoke anti-Pakistani sentiments among the public. Besides that, the media watchdog ruled that Bol’s programme has also been found in violation of several clauses of PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) Act 2007 and Electronic Media Code of Conduct 2015. PEMRA "audit" is like an income tax review by a tax auditor. They "throw" the full Income Tax Act at you for even a slight violation !
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the channel has also been called by PEMRA to appear for a personal hearing before the authority’s committee on the aforementioned date.In case the Bol News management does not reply within the time frame or if the CEO does not appear before PEMRA for a personal hearing, the authority will commence proceedings against the channel. This is not the first time that PEMRA has issued a notice to Bol News. Both have been on bad terms since the channel first started its transmissions and often pushed the limits when it came to criticizing the PML-N government. There have been unconfirmed rumours in the past, that BOL TV is an "organ' of the Deep State, directly or indirectly controlled by Dawood Ebrahim business interests
Hamza Ali Abbasi’s latest HQ Debate can be viewed below. During one of its most recent shows, PML-N’s Jan Achakzai made controversial remarks regarding the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar which provoked a response out of Hamza Ali Abbasi during the latter part of his program. You can see the intense arguments after the 36 minute mark and the controversial remarks at the 38:30 mark below:

Damage Control Exercise By Isloo's Exclusive Shopping Mall :D

Centaurus Mall Tries To Explain Its Entry Fee Policy After Facing Backlash

A few days ago, Islamabad’s most iconic shopping and entertainment centre Centaurus Mall imposed a Rs. 500 entry ticket for men and boys who were not accompanied by a family. Eve -teasing/ Ayesha ogling preventive measure. Considering the nature of the single sex hungry Paki male, it is justified IMHO
Earlier, the mall used to charge Rs. 300 as entry fee for single men who wished to visit the mall by themselves, with Rs. 250 being refundable and redeemable at selected outlets in the mall. After the mall’s management increased the price and made it non-refundable, a severe backlash followed. Mall Management has to take some "sanitizing measures" to keep the riff-raff out. Nothing works like an "entry free" for those Aam Abduls - able to afford it - who want to watch the "show" in air-conditioned comfort

MALL MANAGEMENT VERSION OF EVENTS AS BELOW !
Image

However, the mall has now decided to revert to its previous entry fee rate, making it redeemable as well. So, the "bad publicity" generated by the price gouging has resulted in some badly needed financial relief for the Aam Abduls !

Motorway Police Use Fines Collected As Another Source Of "Personal Income"

Over Rs 2 Billion Go ‘Missing’ From Fines Collected By Motorway Police

Auditors have discovered massive irregularities in the collection of traffic fines during the past few years.According to a report submitted to the parliament by the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), the irregularities in fine collection by the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) are worth over Rs 2 billion. I would say that each ministry, each department, each police thana, each chowidar has his or her own scam going to supplement the British Era pay scales still in existence. If the PM can do it, why not the police. No wonder, Govt employment is in high demand
Audit report shows that motorists plying the highways have been charged with fines of Rs. 19.704 billion over the past 19 years by the NHMP.However, the National Highway Authority (NHA), which is responsible for collecting the fines, has only received Rs. 17.676 and is hence falling short on Rs. 2.029 billion. The discrepancy in the imposed fines and the amount collected goes as back as the fiscal year 1997-98 and up to the year 2016-17.The auditors expressed their amusement  regarding the fact that no action was taken by the concerned authorities to stop the irregularity that had been on-going for years. The auditors probably have some (extortion) scam of their own . Share the loot or else .... :D
Motorway police has been working since 1997 to ensure traffic safety and rules on the country’s highways and motorways.
An example of the Motorway Police doing its job is a recent incident that occurred during Eid. The National Assembly Speaker, Ayaz Sadiq, was asked to pull over on the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M-2) near Khanqah Dogran for over-speeding. This made headlines in the Paki press. But I would not say that this exception proves the rule that all is well . !He was then charged with a fine of Rs 1,250 for violation of traffic rules. However, the audit report confirms that all is not well since there might be some corrupt element operating among the ranks of honest motorway police officials.

Kirket Players From Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England , New Zealand ,Sri-Lanka, West Indies And Zimbamwe Take Lives In Their Own Hands And Decide To Participate In So-Called "Pakistan- Azadi" Tournament

World XI-Pakistan Azadi Tournament logo unveiled

LAHORE: Pakistan is set to host a T20 cricket series with World XI titled Azadi Tournament from September 12, first time in nearly nine years.
This was announced by Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mr Najam Sethi at a press conference at the Gaddafi Stadium where he unveiled the logo for the forthcoming series. If, (and it is a BIG if ) it can be carried off smoothly without any incidents, then you are sure to hear it for the next infinite plus years citing Pakistan as a model for World Kirket
Players from England, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be visiting Pakistan as part of the World XI squad for a three-match T20 series this month. The country has seen only a short visit by Zimbabwe and the final of the Pakistan Super League, featuring a number of foreign players, since March 2009 when Sri Lankan team was attacked in Lahore. Hope that the "Deep State" has reached some sort of understanding / assurance with national non -state actors and /or terrorists not to attack, disturb the "proceedings"
The World XI squad, captained by South Africa's Faf du Plessis, will arrive in Pakistan on September 11.

Pakjabi Patwaris "Promoted" ( In name onlee )

Patwaris to be renamed as Revenue Assistants

Despite its tall claims to eliminate the patwari culture from Punjab, the Punjab government has finally proposed to rename patwaris as the Revenue Assistants.Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) was established to replace the patwaris. With the accomplishment of a project of land record computerization worth over Rs12 billion, record centers have established across Punjab that started extending facilities in 143 Tehsils of the province with a total area of 205,345 square km and over 80 million population.Land Records Management and Information Systems Project (LRMIS-P), a World Bank funded program, (yet another "program" outsourced for lack of funds ! )was signed in January 2007. Though the BOR claims the PLRMIS computerization was just a scanning of the board record and the system was using it as a copy at the service centers.
Earlier, in Punjab, around 8,000 Patwaris used to preserve land records of the 20 million land owners. Shahbaz Sharif had criticized the patwar khana saying if it had been helping the people there was no need to modify the system. He also pledged to end the traditional patwari system from across the province. The Punjab government had stopped recruiting of the patwaris on the vacant seats of the retired officials. The "forward looking CM" with a "roving eye" for the good looking Ayeshas of rural Pakjab  . Moreover, a proposal to restructure the Board of Revenue (BOR) was moved to the Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) who sought comments from the commissioners, board officers, and others.
Sources told that the proposal was floated by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shaikhupura. Official sources in a commissioner office told that his office forwarded the proposal to the BOR. A commissioner on anonymity said that he had conveyed to the SMBR that the government would be playing on very weak footing if it ignored the importance of the board. The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) Director General was also conveyed about the alarming situation in districts. “People are suffering more than they used to do during patwari culture,” he said.
Talking about the proposal an official of the DC Office Shaikhupura told that the Revenue Assistant will be hired in BP 12 with graduation through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
A new tier of the Revenue Supervisor BP 14 will also work as Assistant Collector grade II. All the tehsildars with 25 years of experience and below 50 years may also apply after passing certain tests or fresh graduates with a bachelor degree may be recruited through PPSC. There is also a proposal to entitle them with 800 cc official vehicles. So, the new "Revenue Assistants" will be, in theory, ( at least ) computer savvy, will be provided official vehicles . So in theory, there is "lots of scope" for corruption , and use of "sifarish" to get the lucrative job

Whose/which "azadi" are the paki sponsors referring to by naming it "azadi tournament"? GOI should urgently raise this matter with their paki counterpart and get a clarification. If the pakis bring up Cashmere as reference, the foreign players should then be notified that if they choose to play this so called "azadi tournament", their future chance of playing in the IPL or any tournament in India are next to zero.

Paki HS&D at stake.

HBL fined $225m, ordered to shut New York branch

United States (US) banking regulators slapped a $225 million fine and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to shutter its New York office, for repeatedly failing to heed concerns over possible terrorist financing and money laundering, officials said Thursday.
HBL, Pakistan's largest private bank, neglected to watch for compliance problems and red flags on transactions that potentially could have promoted terrorism, money laundering or other illicit ends, New York banking officials said.
New York regulators said it facilitated billions of dollars of transactions with Saudi private bank, Al Rajhi Bank, which reportedly has links to Al Qaeda, and failed to do enough to ensure that the funds were not laundered or used for terrorism.
HBL permitted at least 13,000 transactions that were not sufficiently screened to ensure they did not involve sanctioned countries, the agency said.
And the bank improperly used a “good guy” list to rubber stamp at least $250m in transactions, including those by an identified terrorist and an international arms dealer, regulators said.
Habib company secretary Nausheen Ahmad called the proposed fine of $629.6m “outrageous” and “capricious” and said the bank had decided to close its New York operations “in an orderly manner.”
DFS will not stand by and let Habib Bank sneak out of the United States

Older article but rehashed again to promote the new pakiness - the updated profile of a paki terrorist.

Understanding the new militants of Pakistan

Image

The confessions made by these detainees shocked many, particularly those who believed that terrorists exist only in the lower classes and in unusual circumstances.

The new pakis are:

Educated and well-off
Shocking
hailing from educated middle-classes
While the presence of extremist tendencies in upper middle- and elite-classes is not new...
Self-radicalised individuals...they are in search of causes that resonate with their radicalised worldview
A failure to find and join a ‘proper’ terrorist group can encourage them to plan and launch terrorist attacks by defining the targets themselves.
Jundullah is important in the perspective of urban militancy
many groups are also operating under the Jundullah nomenclature in Pakistan
the Jundullah groups are breakaway factions of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and its student and militant wings
they are naturally inclined towards the Islamic State (IS) militant group
These groups can generate funds through criminal activity and because of their small size, they can sustain their activities on minimal resources.
more freedom to evolve the operational strategies by themselves

Watch out for this new phenom called Jundullah. Its the new ISIS. Members of this group are likely to be urban, educated, passport carrying, world traveling pakis seated in the airplane seat or the bar stool next to you.

More "urbane" pakis being pakis because one cant change their DNA.

Why does a university-educated student turn to terrorism?

unaddressed personal issues can befuddle the mind of an educated university student and make him/her easy prey for terror groups
...case of IBA alumnus Saad Aziz, who was tried by a military court and is now on death row for his involvement in the Safoora Goth massacre and Sabeen Mehmood's murder...he initially grew religious due to household influences..after he faced rejection in his love life
Naureen, a second-year MBBS student at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), for her alleged links to the militant Islamic State (IS) in Syria.
"The problems we face in Karachi, Pakistan, and all across Muslim countries are categorised as religious extremism or terrorism in the name of religion." He added, "However, if we carefully observe the situation we come to the conclusion that these problems are actually linked to civil rights."

Civil rights?!!? I call Bull$hit on this one.

Photo-Chor Khan Pontificates On NoKo Nuclear Technology

North Korea’s technology much better than Pakistan’s: Dr Qadeer

KARACHI: North Korea’s nuclear technology is much better than Pakistan’s, nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said on Monday, but ruled out any assistance from Islamabad to Pyongyang in this regard.
This "Father Of The Islami Bum" guy is talking too much
In a telephonic interview to BBC Urdu, Mr Khan insisted that North Korea was self-reliant in the nuclear field because of its highly qualified group of scientists.
Mr Khan, said to be the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, said he had been to North Korea twice under a missile programme, and found that they had much better quality than Pakistan. "Deep State" should take "due note " of this unpatriotic statement  “Their scientists are highly capable, and most of them have studied in Russia.”
In February 2004, Mr Khan confessed to having supplied nuclear technology and expertise to North Korea, Libya and Iran. The " confession" was obviously made under duress to satisfy Massa . He is since been rehabilitated !
When asked about Pakistan’s role in North Korea’s nuclear programme, Mr Khan rejected the notion out of hand. “It’s out of the question. They have much better overall technology than ours. We have the same old and conventional technology,” he said. Is he "authorized " to divulge "sensitive information"
However, he said Pakistan’s relationship with North Korea for the missile programme was common knowledge. “In fact, the Pakistani government itself announced that we were in contact with North Korea.”On North Korea’s latest adventure, Mr Khan said the hydrogen bomb tested by Pyongyang had the capacity to destroy any city within minutes.“Hydrogen bombs are much more powerful than atom bombs. For instance, an atom bomb may destroy the area in the radius of 1.5 to two kilometres, but a hydrogen bomb can devastate an entire city,” he said. I am sure that this "esteemed Father Of The Islami Bum" is still being protected 24/7 by the Deep State. One step outside Pakiland, then he is "toast"

No One Is Buying The Paki BS Of " Many Terrorist Groups In South Asia Responsible For Extreme Acts " In Connection With The BRICS Terrorism Declaration

Many terrorist groups in South Asia responsible for extreme acts: FO on BRICS' security concern

Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Nafees Zakaria on Tuesday said that Pakistan is "seriously concerned" about the threat posed by terrorism and extremism in the South Asian region. Zakaria was speaking in reference to the BRICS' leaders summit document which named militant groups allegedly based in Pakistan as a regional security concern."Many terrorist groups based in the region — including in Afghanistan — such as the [banned] Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and its associates like Jamaatul Ahrar (JuA) have been responsible for extreme acts of violence against Pakistani people," Zakaria said.
Hidden hand of RAA needs to be mentioned as well !
Zakaria further said that Pakistan is concerned about the rise of extremist ideologies and intolerance in the region, which have been "encouraging social stratification and systematic targeting of minorities". The Paki State is obviously the incubator of all these extremist ideologies. :D
Earlier on Tuesday, Defence Minister Khurram Dastagir refuted the BRICS nations' claim about the presence of militant groups allegedly based in Pakistan.
Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa make up the BRICS grouping. The group had called for an immediate end to violence in Afghanistan.
“We, in this regard, express concern on the security situation in the region and violence caused by the Taliban, ISIS...Al Qaeda and its affiliates, including Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-i-Taiba, Jaish-i-Mohammad, TTP and Hizbut Tahrir,” the leaders had said in the declaration.

X Posting another article and DFS order on the same from the Pakistani Role in Global Terrorism thread ........

New York regulator kicks Pakistan’s Habib Bank out of US : NY watchdog says company ‘opened the door’ to terror financing and fines it $225m :-

The DFS’ most recent investigation found that Habib facilitated billions of dollars in transactions with a Saudi private bank, the Al Rajhi Bank, which has had reported links to al-Qaeda. The bank also used a “good guy” list — a group of customers who supposedly presented a very low risk of illicit transactions — to wave through at least $250m in transactions with no screening at all. Characters on the list included a leader of a Pakistani terrorist group, a notorious international arms dealer, and the former Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq under Saddam Hussein.

Habib Bank's spin:
All charges have been dropped following this consent order,” said a senior bank officer who did not wish to speak for attribution.

“Obviously we will have to take this on our books this year. Our capital is strong enough. The underlying business remains strong. HBL agreed to the settlement as protracted litigation was not in the interest of the bank or the country. The charges were not proven, and they have been dismissed.{So, why did you pay such a huge amount then?}

The closure of the branch has no impact on the bank’s business, he added, since it was an “immaterial part of the balance sheet and profitability”.

X Posted from the Pakistan Economic Stress Watch thread.

A real Honour and Dignity aka H&D nightmare for the Mohammadden Terrorism fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Bangladesh which separated from the Mohammadden Terrorism fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 1971 with our help overtakes the Islamic Republic in per capita GDP at Market Exchange Rates per the Economist:

Bangladesh’s GDP per person is now higher than Pakistan’s
At market exchanges rates, at least

Print edition | Asia
Sep 7th 2017

WHEN Bangladesh won independence from Pakistan in 1971, it was much poorer than the country it left. Industry accounted for only 6-7% of its GDP, compared with over 20% in Pakistan. The battle for independence had killed or displaced millions, damaged roads and railways, and severed ties with Pakistan’s bankers and industrialists (including the owner of one of the world’s biggest jute mills). Even before the war, Bangladesh had been trampled by another apocalyptic horseman: a cyclone killed hundreds of thousands in 1970. The country’s independence leader, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, complained that West Pakistan had not promptly shared its bumper wheat crop or “given a yard of cloth for our shrouds”.

Last month revealed a remarkable turnaround. Bangladesh’s GDP per person is now higher than Pakistan’s. Converted into dollars at market exchange rates, it was $1,538 in the past fiscal year (which ended on June 30th). Pakistan’s was about $1,470.

Strange as it may sound, Bangladesh jumped ahead because of an advance in Pakistan. On August 25th Pakistan released the results of its census, updating earlier population estimates. They showed that the country has 207.8m people, more than 9m more than previously thought. It may now have the fifth biggest population in the world, surpassing Brazil’s. But the new count also lopped 4-5% off Pakistan’s GDP per person, the arithmetic consequence of revealing so many more people.

A caveat should be noted. A dollar stretches further in Pakistan than in Bangladesh because prices in the former tend to be lower. So Pakistan’s $1,470 per person actually has more purchasing power than Bangladesh’s $1,538.

This is nonetheless a good moment to celebrate Bangladesh’s economic progress. Its annual growth has averaged more than 6% over the past ten years and has run above 7% over the past two. Industry accounts for 29% of its GDP. A country that once lacked cloth for shrouds now exports more ready-made garments than India and Pakistan combined. Working conditions are still far worse than they should be. They are also far better than they once were.

Bangladesh’s GDP per person received a boost from another source. Its last census, in 2011, led to a large revision of the country’s population, larger even than Pakistan’s. But in Bangladesh’s case, the revision was downwards.

The Economist:

Bangladesh’s GDP per person is now higher than Pakistan’s : At market exchanges rates, at least

Paki Pants On Fire

Pakistan needs a swift policy shift: Asif

ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Khawaja Mohammed Asif said on Thursday that the world was in a whirlpool and Pakistan needed to readjust its position without any delay. “We have no time. Pakistan needs to change its direction swiftly. We are undergoing a seismic shift,” he told a news conference on the conclusion of a three-day envoys’ conference here. Asif’s comments come after US President Donald Trump on August 20 warned that Washington will “no longer be silent about Pakistan’s safe havens for terrorist organisations”. POTUS appears to have put a burner under Paki Musharaf. IMO, this is just optics for the benefit of media and world opinion . Fauj is in charge of Foreign Policy, not the newly minted FM.
“Pakistan has much to gain from partnering with our effort in Afghanistan,” Trump said, and issued a veiled threat: “It has much to lose by continuing to harbour criminals and terrorists.”Trump’s statement angered Pakistan as the civil and military leadership reminded him of the country’s enormous sacrifices in the war on terror.
Pakistani envoys in various countries including the United States, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Iran, and India participated in the conference which started on Sept 5. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi chaired the final session on Thursday.
“Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Sohail Mehmood also briefed the conference about Pakistan-India relations,” he added. The minister said Pakistan will raise the Kashmir issue at all forums and expose India’s brutalities in the held territory. “We will highlight the Kashmir issue at the UNGA,” he said. He said China had not allowed India to include many controversial points in the BRICS declaration. “China is our friend. I will meet the Chinese counterpart and discuss the regional situation,” he said.Asif, later in the day, flew to Beijing to discuss the foreign policy and the future strategy. He will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi today (Sept 8) and is expected to exchange views on Trump’s speech.
The foreign minister will also visit Russia, Iran, and Turkey before joining Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for the UNGA session.
Besides others, Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir and NSA Nasser Khan Janjua also attended the conference.

Pakistan Makes It To A ( Bad) List - Again !

Pakistan among top 50 countries with high terrorism financing, money laundering risks: Report

BASEL – Pakistan is among the top 50 countries with high terrorism financing and money laundering risks, according to a latest report by a Swiss group.
The Basel Institute on Governance, in its 2017 edition of the Basel Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Index which has assessed 146 countries regarding money laundering and terrorism financing risks, said that Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka stand out with particular high risk scores in the Index.Pakistan has been placed on the 46th position in the list of 146 countries which have been given marks on a scale of 0– low risk to 10 — high risk, by the Switzerland-based independent not-for-profit competence center. The average risk score this year is equal to 6.15.
India has been placed on 88th rank with 5.58 marks, the report said. So, Pakistan is "above average" and India is " below average" on this "bad index" list !
In South Asia, Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka have been given 8.38, 7.57 and 7.15 marks and placed on the second, 14th and 25th ranks respectively.
