JIT report levels serious accusations, recommends NAB reference against Sharif family
The Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which investigated the Sharif family's business dealings to establish its sources of wealth, has recommended that the National Accountability Bureau open a reference against the prime minister and his family after it found glaring disparities between their known sources of income and their actual wealth. The JIT's report on the probe, sections of which circulated Monday evening, suggests that a reference should be filed against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, as well as daughter Maryam Nawaz under Section 9 of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ordinance 1999.The JIT has found that the assets of all four are more than the sources of their income and said that they were unable to provide substantive evidence of a reliable money trail. So, after months and months of "enquiry", witness calling, salacious gossip, juicy conspiracy theories,( for which Pakis are infamous :D ) and of course, millions of taxpayer monies, is this the best that the so-called JIT came up with . Every Abdul, Ali and Azam knew or suspected that Ganja Sharif ( in the guise of an honest man ) is corrupt to the core! And the JIT is just "passing the buck" by " recommending" ( instead of "directing", "ordering" and other BS words !). By the time, election time comes around, all will be forgotten and Ganja Sharif with his dishonest tactics will be back in the driver's seat

Isloo Police Go Easy On "Crime Mafia Dons" . Round Up "Beggars" And Fake Pistol Makers Instead :D

Seven outlaws, 9 alm-seekers held, wine and weapons recovered
The Islamabad police arrested seven outlaws from different areas of the city on Monday and recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession. Sub-Inspector Aashiq Hussain from Bhara Kahu police arrested Habib after recovery of two pistols and ammunition while ASI Rizwan arrested Jawad for possessing 30 bore pistol, 12 bore repeater gun and 155 gram hashish.
Sub-Inspector Umer Hyat from Bani Gala police arrested Babar Khan for having 25 liquor bottles while ASI Muhammad Ashfaq from Shehzad town police nabbed Aamir Shehzad for having 50 gram heroin.
Inspector Haider Ali from CIA police arrested Temur Gul for having 30 bore pistol. ASI Azkaar Hussain from Koral police arrested Umer Khan for possessing 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Arshad Mehmud from Sihala police apprehended Asif for having 30 bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Not sure if 30 denotes size of barrel or numbers of weapons confiscated !
Meanwhile, nine professional alm-seekers were arrested from various areas of the city. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate efforts for effective policing. Seems like these are the "unlucky" ones, who were either unwilling or unable to "share" some of the loot with the police , and thus taken to thana

Conclusion

To break the stalemate by 2020, the General Nicholson’s operational idea is to invest in those forces that have demonstrated the best capacity to outmatch the Taliban in most actions - the Afghan Special Security Forces and the Afghan Air Force. In his testimony, he explained his operational idea to grow these relatively capable forces toward building an overmatch in offensive capacity vis-à-vis the Taliban to ultimately create favorable tactical and operational momentum. Creating offensive overmatch in the best and tested Afghan security forces will, in fact, create a tactical and operational capacity to hit the Taliban, disrupting and displacing their leaders and infrastructure. Offensive tactical overmatch will indeed disrupt the enemy, but without strategic change in reducing the sanctuary in Pakistan, these gains will be fleeting.

The U.S. and the Coalition must desist in the illusion that Pakistan, one of the foremost ideological and physical breeders of Islamist terrorists, can be an ally or a friend. It is neither. Pretending that Pakistan was an ally in the war against Islamist militants, one that would act in ways to help defeat Islamist networks in the tribal areas, made the West partly complicit in Pakistan’s perfidy. In September 2001, imagining that the only country on the planet with its capital named after Islam, and the foremost state sponsor of Islamist terrorists, would be a reliable partner in a war to defeat the very Islamists groups that Pakistan created, was a huge failure of imagination.

Since this war began, the U.S. has stipulated that Pakistan must curb all domestic expression of support for terrorism against the U.S. and its allies; demonstrate a sustained commitment towards combating terrorist groups; cease support, including by any elements within the Pakistan military or its intelligence agency, to extremist and terrorist groups; and dismantle terrorist bases of operations in other parts of the country. Clearly, Pakistan has not complied with these demands and continues to serve as a significant supporter and employer of Islamist insurgents and terrorists.

Investing in and increasing the Afghan Special Security Forces and the Afghan Air Force to create overmatching offensive capacity, to then build tactical and operational momentum, will help assert influence over key population areas and take away Taliban capacity but it will be short-lived if not coupled with strategic momentum. To break the strategic stalemate, the Coalition should cast off its anxieties and illusions about Pakistan’s potential fragility or comity. After almost 16 years of Pakistan’s duplicity, it is essential to go heavy on sticks and light on carrots with Pakistan. With the support of other major regional actors, sticks will work where carrots, cash, and cajoling have not.

The following steps and demands, escalating from modest to severe, are suggested to break Pakistan of its pathologies and to break the stalemate: 1) stop paying for malice; 2) stop major non-NATO ally status; 3) state intention to make the line of control in Kashmir permanent; 4) shut down ground lines of communications via Pakistan; 5) declare Pakistan the state-sponsor of terrorism that it is; 6) issue one final ultimatum to Pakistan to end the sanctuary and to stop supporting the Taliban; 7) invite Indian Armed Forces into Afghanistan for security operations in the Pashtun east and south; and 8) reciprocate Pakistan’s malice using lethal coercion, both indirectly and directly.

The United States has not devised a Pakistan strategy that uses its substantial resources to modify Pakistan’s loathsome strategic malfeasance. A strategy that does not address that malign influence is no strategy at all. A realizable strategy needs to bring the full weight of the U.S. and regional actors to compel Pakistan to cease supporting the Taliban. The Taliban would have been diminished to a marginal nuisance without the full support that Pakistan rendered to the group in pursuit of its quixotic notion of strategic depth to assert control over Afghanistan. Sanctuary remains the biggest obstacle to the defeat of the Taliban, and it is the reason for the stalemate.
Interesting. They want India in Afghanistan and yet reward Pakistan with POK!!!!

Flooding In Pakistan Blamed On India !

IWT violation: India not sharing flood information with Pakistan since 1999
The Express Tribune > Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
There may be multiple reasons for floods in the country, but Pakistan’s archrival India has also played a major role in aggravating Pakistan’s problems.
Official sources say New Delhi – despite being bound by the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) – has not shared with Islamabad details about water outflow from its rivers since 1999, causing major floods in Pakistan. During all these years, Pakistan has repeatedly requested India for provision of information with regard to rains and floods but India has been reluctant to share timely information. Another one of those "baseless allegations" for which Pakistan is famous the world over !
Due to the absence of this vital information, Pakistan is unable to get accurate and timely preparation for the monsoon and remains at risk of heavy flooding. In last 15 years, Pakistan has to endure at least five major floods that have caused huge human and financial losses. "Gamechanger CPEC" tasked to "solve this problem"
According to a senior government official, Pakistan has raised this issue several times at various international conferences and meetings, but the Indian government has turned a dead ear.“Earlier there was some possibility of convincing India but as the tension between the two countries is mounting it seems very difficult to get the required information from the hostile neighbour,” he told this correspondent. In a high-level meeting held recently, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lt Gen Omar Mehmood Hayat also urged ‘upper riparian neighbour’ India to cooperate by giving timely information on water outflow from its rivers and actual rainfall recorded as stipulated in the IWT.
Applaud Modi-ji and his Govt for adopting a "comprehensive policy" as to how to deal with "rouge entity"

Bahawalpur tragedy: Negligence committed by motorway police, IG concedes :D
The inspector general of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) on Monday conceded that the Motorway Police displayed negligence in the Bahawalpur tragedy. He was addressing a session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Transportation.
"Laundry List " Of Negligence Items As Under :
1. Motorway Police behaviour deemed irresponsible 2. Ambulance and Fire Brigade not informed . 3. Motorway Control Room two employees were absent from work on that day. 4. Police not informed and therefore police failed to seal area. 5. Unable to determine who is responsible for (i) issuing Fitness Certificate to vehicle (ii) drivers licence 6. Unable to determine if driver partook "sharab" or "charas goli ". 7. Higher Police Officers were deliberately "kept in dark" by the six policemen on duty there, and therefore were suspended . 8. Driver Gul Mohamed could not convince Awaam to "stop stealing spilled gasoline" as it is dangerous .9 Driver Gul Mohamed himself was "sleep deprived" and fell asleep. And could not negotiate a sharp turn, and truck overturned.

Shell Oil has been "ordered" to pay a hefty fine for the mishap. In view of the above factors , it would not be an difficult task for Shell lawyers to point the finger at the "whole Pakistan system"

Bull crap on a cracker. Launch a satellite or, if you dont know how to, buy one or, if you cant afford to, lease one to predict the monsoons. This is typical paki victim behavior. It is nothing new. Back in 2014, they tried it but were shot down by their own meteorologists.

Pakistan floods not worsened by action in India
Top Pakistani and Indian officials have debunked some media reports in Pakistan, which had alleged that India had opened the gates of the Baglihar dam and had thus added to the current flooding in Pakistan
Asked if it was true that floods in the Pakistan stretch of the Chenab were due to release of water from the Baglihar dam in India, Mirza Asif Baig – chairman of the Indus Water Commission – told thethirdpole.net, “No, these floods are caused by rainfall in the basin of the Chenab river.”
Speaking to thethirdpole.net on the evening of September 5, Mohammad Riaz, a senior official in the Pakistan Meteorological Department, also categorically denied that any water released by India had been the cause of any flooding in Pakistan. Weather experts in Pakistan have said the flooding has been due to heavy rainfall.

DoD Report: Pakistan is Reason for Afghanistan Stalemate

Interesting. They want India in Afghanistan and yet reward Pakistan with POK!!!!
That donkey has left the stable long ago.
That is a behaviour best described by a Tamil saying, which translated says, "Grab a coconut (obviously for free) from a shop and offer it to Lord Ganapathy on the way"

But, that aside, we are to be totally blamed for such a US formulation. Apart from the unanimous resolution in the Parliament on the entirety of Kashmir belonging to us and its recovery, we largely kept mum and did not reiterate our claims forcefully frequently. We kept entirely quiet about Gilgit & Baltistan for decades and woke up only recently. At some points of time, we have even encouraged a permanent border along the LoC. We might have even conveyed this to the US for all we know.

And suddenly, we woke up to the huge threat that if we allow LoC to become the permanent border, then we have the PLA sitting there threatening us in a pincer. All along, we have behaved without any strategic thoughts or strategic culture.

It is pathetic that from military & moral positions of strength, we conceded ground whether it was 1948, 1965, 1972 or 2002.

What also struck me in that DoD report is the hesitation on the part of the GotUS to name the country, Pakistan. I don't know what is the 'sensitivity' involved here when, leave alone everything else, the US interests have been badly damaged for 15 years now in Af-Pak with 2500 deaths of American GIs and over 20000 injured. All US plans have come a cropper and the peace talks have been effectively sabotaged by Pakistan with US unable to do anything. Af-Pak is slipping into Chinese hands. From the days of that massive Kunduz airlift, Pakistan has at every turn pulled wool over the willing American eyes. More than that, it would be in the fitness of things if Taliban/AQ along with Pakistan claim that for the second time too, they have defeated a superpower.

Member of US Congress an Chairman of the US Legislatures Subcommittee on Terrorism, Non-proliferation and Trade, Lloyd Theodore Poe aka Ted Poe, writes an article titled “Pakistan’s long history of duplicity” in the Washington Times :

Pakistan’s long history of duplicity : Backing terrorists while proclaiming U.S. friendship is not the act of an ally

Excerpts:
Pakistan has a long duplicitous relationship with the U.S.
Despite all these cases of bad behavior, we still give Pakistan hundreds of millions of dollars every year in aid. We don’t need to pay Pakistan to betray us — they will do it for free.
I have introduced two bills that would put pressure on Pakistan. H.R. 1499, the Pakistan State Sponsor of Terrorism Designation Act, would require the State Department to assess Islamabad’s long history of cooperating with terrorists and determine whether or not Pakistan is a state sponsor of terrorism. H.R. 3000 would revoke Pakistan’s Major Non-NATO Ally status, an exclusive and preferential designation that Pakistan definitively does not deserve.

The Terror Problem From Pakistan
This was a NYT Opinion today in the print version. Case being made for an envoy.
Islamabad has shown no sign it is genuinely willing to end support for proxies like the Haqqani network.
Haqqani, a terror network with close ties to the Taliban, al Qaeda and Pakistan’s spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence.
Haqqani’s ties to Pakistan make political solutions essential. Islamabad has shown no sign it is genuinely willing to end its support of terror proxies and reconcile with the Kabul regime.
Haqqani has evolved from a relatively small, tribal-based jihadist network into one of the most influential terrorist organizations in South Asia.
Western and Afghan officials say Islamabad also sponsors terrorism in order to undermine Afghanistan and India.
Washington must also change its approach to Pakistan. As a first step, the president should appoint an envoy who would lead diplomatic and intelligence efforts to buttress the Kabul regime against terrorism.
The envoy would also sharpen the focus on Pakistan in bilateral diplomacy with countries that have good relations with Islamabad, such as China, Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states.
The envoy would also oversee relations among Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Russia and India, focusing on the formulation of political solutions. A U.S. alignment with India would more effectively check Pakistan, while improved U.S. relations with China, cemented over shared concerns about escalating violence and economic security, could pressure Islamabad and its proxies into a political settlement.
The U.S. should also press Pakistan to stop providing sanctuary to terrorists. That would require Washington to consider publicly exposing the extent to which officials at the highest levels of the Pakistan military and ISI support terror.
Written by a clueless 25 year old probably. Besides china, which other states have a good relation with bakistan? Pressing china to influence bakistan? Huh?

The Heritage Foundation warned about this in 2009. Yet, here we are. Still discussing the problem of Maria.

The Pakistan-Britain Terror Connection: Lessons and Warnings for the United States
Breaking the personnel, financial, and ideological links will require fighting terrorism on three fronts: Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Britain. In Afghanistan, the U.S., the U.K., and their allies need to continue to fight the Taliban and al-Qaeda. They should also hold Pakistan accountable for its failure to act decisively against terrorism.
Many of the planned or successful Islamist attacks in Britain have been linked directly or indirectly to Pakistan. British authorities have acknowledged that the al-Qaeda network based in Pakistan poses the greatest terrorist threat to Britain. This threat includes both terrorist attacks and the financial and ideological networks that support and inspire attacks.
Breaking this terror connection between Pakistan and Britain is central to winning the war on terrorism. It would improve the security of Britain and its allies, including the United States.
Same crap, different bull. Why does the west keep missing the elephant in the room?

And, this is what Huff Post had to say in 2011.

Pakistan’s Terror Problem is Beyond the Taliban
On September 11, 2011, Pakistan took out $36,000 half-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal to commemorate the 9/11 attacks which read in part, “Since 2001 a nation of 180 million has been fighting for the future of world’s 7 billion!...Can any other country do so? Only Pakistan...Promising peace to the world.”
Whatever you call it — either a black comedy or the theater of the absurd — the conflicting narratives signify the dreadful and complex nature of Pakistan’s long-term collusion with the most lethal anti-Western religious militants.
Since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, Pakistan has followed a destructive policy towards its neighboring country in order to achieve four aims:

Firstly, to use the war on terror as a camouflage for Pakistan’s own internal wars
Secondly, to entrap Afghanistan into Taliban’s ideological straitjacket.
Thirdly, to use the Afghan Taliban as a free army for suppressing Pashtun and Baluchi nationalism within Pakistan.
Fourth, as part of its contingency plan to use the Taliban against India.
I don't always agree with Huff but these two above articles admit that we have acknowledged the source (bakistan) of the problem (islamic terrorism) for many years but do not yet have the will to address it or act on it.

The Pakistani government has awarded a contract worth nearly $382 million to a Chinese company to reconstruct Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport, the Chinese state-owned People's Daily newspaper reported Tuesday. As Expected Ganja Sharif Has No Intention Of Resigning His Lucrative Post Of PM Of Pakiland, In spite Of The Massive Evidence Of Corruption, Nepotism , Forgery etc etc Detailed In JIT Report

Top-level PML-N huddle mulls party's legal and political strategy post-JIT report
Top PML-N officials met at PM House on Tuesday to discuss the party's legal and political strategy following the submission to the apex court of a damning inquiry report probing the Sharif family's wealth a day earlier. The 'unofficial' meeting was held to review the Supreme Court-sanctioned joint investigation team's report, according to DawnNews. Sources said the PML-N's legal team briefed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the JIT report. Participants of the meeting also discussed points of argument regarding the report that could be raised in court. FamilySpokesman Spokeswoman ! has already "rejected" the massive report, so it is 400% sure that he is not going to resign, unless the "awaam" take to the streets ( and this is what IMO, Immy is planning to do as a last resort ! )
The JIT report, spread over 10 volumes, declared that the prime minister's sons ─ Hussain and Hassan Nawaz ─ were used as proxies to build family assets.
PML-N leaders, in a press conference after the submission of the report, announced that the party would contest the report in the court, and labelled it 'worthless trash'. Interestingly that the Fauj has remained silent on this "important" issue . ( Is it due to the "preoccupations" at the LOC  )

SSJi, very rarely do I have a disagreement with you, and this is one of those occasions. Not a disagreement per se, but an incorrect reading of US IMO. And that is, I am not sure US considers AfPak region as so crucial to its interests as we think. In other words, despite all its losses, US wants to retreat with its H&D in tact, and its empire's core interests are preserved which includes keeping India in a "South Asia" box. Thats the sensitivity involved in not naming TSP. I do not believe US wants to avenge the losses it suffers at the hands of TSP, rather IMO, US believes its not only not worth risking further US lives in taking on TSP, but TSP is crucial to its wider interests.

On PoK, this guy's naivete is so obvious. If TSP were happy with PoK, it could have signed LoC == IB long time ago, because I believe successive Indian govts, be it NDA or Congoons, they gave the game away. (Basking in the 'glory' of the many terror attacks against India, even MushRat once declared that LoC == IB is a non-starter and if that were acceptable, he went to ask, what has TSP been fighting for, for 60+ years?).

No, TSP believes, it has India by its b@alls in the valley, and nothing will satiate its neurotic obsession and lust for the Kashmir valley because they believe that dismembering the valley will among others things (control of river waters also) will set in motion a chain of events for India's eventual dismemberment (there is some truth to this possibility should the valley fall out of India's hands) and it will be the 'golden era of the Moghul empire' again where TSP TFTA princes and kings rule the sub-continent from their durbar in the red fort in New Delhi.

TSP senses it has the upper hand and hence won't budge. Not to re-iterate the obvious, only visible hefty blows to TSPA's H&D either militarily or by ways of economic sanctions and diplomatic isolation will there be any chance of TSP backing down.

Missing Karachi Reporter Re- Surfaces After Torture !

Missing journalist appears after being dropped near airport
The Express Tribune
KARACHI:
After almost 20 hours of forced detention, captors released on Monday the journalist who had been whisked away on Saturday night. Abdullah Zafar, a staff reporter at The Nation, was taken away during an overnight raid at his house in Lawyers Society, Scheme 33 in the Sacchal area of Karachi. He was then shifted to an undisclosed location and his whereabouts were unknown until his release. Security personnel in plainclothes dropped him near Jinnah International Airport in the early hours of Monday. “I do not know who they were, why they picked me up or where they kept me detained,” said Zafar after his release.
Initially they beat me badly and later tried to torture me psychologically,” Zafar narrated his ordeal. “They kept asking my life history and checked my social media accounts.” He added that he had no idea where he was kept but it seemed that it was an underground place.
The Karachi Union of Journalists and other journalists’ bodies had condemned the Zafar’s abduction and demanded the authorities take action for his recovery. This appears to be the "normal" modus operandi of the Deep State. First warning given to him to "mend" his( "anti-Pakistan" ) ways ; second warning might come in the form of a motor cycle pillion rider taking a pot-shot at him and disappearing fast from the scene- like Hamid Mir !

Ganja, The Shrewd Dehati Politico Now Fully Exposed In The Explosive JIT Report

JIT report carries seeds of upheaval
ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), constituted by the Supreme Court to probe money laundering allegations against the Sharif family, set in motion a political upheaval by reporting that the prime minister and his children had accumulated wealth beyond their known sources of income.
The JIT’s damning report, submitted to the Supreme Court and spread over ten volumes, declared that both Hussain and Hassan Nawaz were used as (economic !) proxies to build family assets. While Maryam was being groomed as " PM in waiting " !
Key developments

Maintains that PM’s family has assets beyond known sources of income
Recommends NAB reference against PM, his children
Says Sharif-owned enterprises mostly ‘loss-making’, don’t justify family’s wealth
Qatari letters declared a ‘myth’
Unearths new offshore company chaired by Sharif
Ministers reject JIT report as ‘trash’ ( talk is "cheap" !)
Consequently, the six-man JIT concluded that it was compelled to refer to sections 9(a)(v) and 14(c) of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999, which deal with corruption and corrupt practices, though such charges are yet to be proven in an accountability court. Ganja is expected to "drag" this in court -maybe, bribe, ( or intimidate!) as a last resort !
The court will hear both the petitioner, namely Imran Khan and others, and the respondents, before handing down its final verdict. The JIT report also highlighted Articles 122, 117, 129 and other sections of the Qanoon-i-Shahadat Order 1984  [Islamic "window dressing" :D ] (Law of Evidence), which places the burden of disproving the allegations on the person facing accusations. The "onus" !
The JIT pointed out failure on the part of the Sharifs to produce the required information that would confirm their “known sources of income”, saying that prima facie, it amounted to saying that they were not able to reconcile their assets with their means of income.
During his interrogation, the JIT said, PM Sharif was visibly evasive on most of the questions related to Gulf Steel Mills and, after two and half hours of questioning, the prime minister only admitted to knowing Mohammad Hussain as his maternal uncle. The JIT also dubbed the two letters from Sheikh Al Thani “a myth and not a reality”. The JIT highlighted how the prime minister not only concealed assets to the tune of Rs45 million, but also misreported in his wealth statement for the year 2013. There is no doubt that under the guise of "Islamic piety" (like Zia his family mentor ! ), Nawaz is probably the most corrupt PM in the history of Pakiland !
The JIT also unearthed a new offshore company, FZE Capital in the UAE, which had Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as its chairman. The report said the prime minister kept shares in the name of his wife, sons and daughters, who were not financially independent at the time; thereby retaining control over the business due to his strong political and family influence. The role played by Dar, his FM in this massive corruption should also be "probed"

Karachi Prison Management Outsourced To Islamic Militants

Militants ‘virtually’ running Karachi Central Prison, says CTD inquiry report
KARACHI: An inquiry into the recent jailbreak by two high-profile militants of Lashkar-i-Jhangvi has revealed that some militants belonging to banned outfits were virtually running the affairs of the Central Prison Karachi by imposing their will on jail staff who follow their instructions due to fear or incompetence, it emerged on Monday. ( with the connivance of the Deep State  )
Sources quoting the report of the inquiry conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department of police told Dawn that the probe into the escape of LJ militants exposed some “incidents of deliberate and systematic intimidation” on part of certain prisoners towards jail authorities.
The jail officials were found ‘powerless’ to ensure discipline for fear of being targeted by the accomplices of such militants, the sources said. The hardcore militants, Shaikh Mohammad Mumtaz alias Firaun and Mohammad Ahmed alias Munna, who had been arrested four years ago by the CTD for killing more than 60 people including several police officials, workers of a political party and Shia community members, had escaped from the judicial complex inside the Karachi prison last month. No wonder that the Paki Awaam is increasingly taking the law in their own lands , as it has "no confidence" in the justice system ![/quote]
Meanwhile, Additional IG CTD Dr Sanaullah Abbasi told Dawn that the CTD’s report about the jailbreak was submitted to the chief minister and the provincial minister for prisons. It was on the basis of the findings that the DIG prisons was suspended and it was for the first time that such action was initiated. The investigation of the jailbreak is still on and the CTD has succeeded in getting physical remand of three jail staffers for interrogation, according to the CTD chief. The "whole system" is corrupt to the core. ! Stop gap measures will go only so far to correct a situation !

How a Microsoft font may bring down Pakistan's Nawaz Sharif govt
NEW DELHI: The undoing of Pakistan's Nawaz Sharif government might be a Microsoft Word font the PM's daughter Maryam used while allegedly forging documents she submitted to a team investigating illegal offshore properties flagged in the Panama Papers, the country's media reported.

Pakistan's Twitterati is having a field day with that bit of information, calling it #Fontgate.

On page-55 of the investigative team's final report submitted on Monday, it says Maryam's documents had on them sentences typed in the "Calibri" font which was not available before January 31, 2007, said The Express Tribune report. The documents themselves, though, were from 2006.

Ergo: forgery.

Still, the report noted that Wikipedia says the Calibri font was made much before 2007, in 2004. However, it was made available for public use in 2007.

"I'm the only Pakistani actor to become this popular without proving myself in India: Fahad Mustafa"
I am the only actor in Pakistan to have reached this level of popularity without having had to prove my mettle by going to India. If there were only a few more actors like myself, we wouldn’t even need to bother with Bollywood.
I wouldn’t work in India unless I got offered a project that was truly interesting. It’s certainly not my ambition to become a Bollywood star.
Additionally, our actors tend to return from India with surreal expectations from the local industry. We don’t have the budgets for the vanity vans and fringe benefits that are now part of Bollywood.
Paki speaks with a forked tongue.

Jammers, special security for Chinese working on CPEC in Sindh
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is very important for the country, therefore, security of Chinese workforce is necessary.
CM Murad said jammers will be installed on the traveling route of Chinese. He directed the police to provide special security to the Chinese caravans.
Jammers in sindh? Are they expecting eid mubarak attacks on their sugar daddies' caravans in sindh? I thought this only happened in b'lochistan and K-pee-kay.

CRamS wrote: . . . I am not sure US considers AfPak region as so crucial to its interests as we think.
CRS, the US thinking, if it were true, of 'retreating with its H&D in tact', is *NOT* going to be achieved by appeasing Pakistan. History, both in Af-Pak and elsewhere, is witness to that. In fact, Pakistan is doing everything to make sure that the withdrawal is not smooth but as messy as it possibly can be. It is doing the bidding of its new master, China.

Secondly, the 'wider interests' of the US, that you refer to, are being undermined by the Pakistani-Chinese nexus and the Chin-Pak region that is increasingly replacing the Af-Pak region today. In the long run, China is the mortal enemy for the US and without India, it cannot do much about staving off the perilous challenge from China. Unless TSP is put to the sword, the US will be badly singed by it in the near future, yet again. It already has been, by the various terrorist attacks on it including the biggest, 9/11. Along with China, it will pose the biggest threat, even if NoKo is somehow taken care of. It is absolutely myopic and self-destructive of the US to see Pakistan in any favourable light at all.

Health Scare Issued In La-Whore - The Cultural Capital Of Pakistan !

PFA puts red mark on sale, purchase of meat in Tollinton Market
LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority issued warning and has advised customers, shopkeepers not to buy meat from the Tollinton market as the market’s environment has been identified as completely unhygienic for sale and purchase of meat. PFA advised common people, customers, catering companies not to buy meat from the market. Tollinton market is hub of birds and purchase in the city and that is the only reason PFA issued warning that chicken’s meat which is openly available for the customers are getting infused with gems and diseases due to presence of birds habitant. Why not, "direct" the sellers to literally "clean up their act" !
There are dozens of chicken sale points in Tollinton Market and thousands of family’s household expenses are directly earned from the sale and purchase of the meat here at bazaar. ( Is polk been offered for sale yet for the benefit of "Chini fliends" ) PFA Director General issued in this regard said is the matter of citizens of Lahore whose health is at stake if the sale is continued at the market. Notice stated to shift the shops to other areas. In the notice it is pleaded that unhygienic meat which is being sold at the markets could lead to higher chances of typhoid, food poisoning, diarrhea, hepatitis A and E, poliomyelitis and dysentery. Why not also mention cholera, swine flue, bird flue and a host of other "exotic" diseases that are commonly found !
In 2014 a special team of the City District Government of Lahore (CDGL) seized 600kg of dead chicken and meat ( donkey meat, masquerading as "gosht" ?) from Tolinton Market which is city’s largest meat market and arrested three shopkeepers involved in it.
On Monday, PFA sealed Saad Oil and Ghee Industries which was operational in Kot Lakhpat industrial area. The factory was working without having any license.Earlier, Punjab Food Authority decided to inspect the quality of ingredients in 27 ghee and cooking oil mills located in several districts of Punjab. Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers’ Association (PVMA) office bearers met with Punjab Food Authority Director General Noorul Amin Mengal and agreed upon the process to check the ghee mills ingredients quality. According to PFA officials, in meeting both sides agree to devise a mechanism to check the quality of ingredients that are being used in manufacturing of ghee and cooking oils in mills. One way of "improving the hygienic condition of meat and fish market is to include this "industry" in the umbrella of the CPEC  )

Maid allegedly tortured to death by Punjab MPA
A child maid was allegedly tortured to death by his employee in Lahore, his sister said on Tuesday, reported Waqt News. Family of Akhtar Ali, 16, said the boy and his sister were allegedly assaulted by their employers that led to Ali’s death. Media reports identify the accused as Shah Jahan, a Punjab based lawmaker, ( most likely from Ganja's provincial wing !) and his daughter. “They used to torture us with rods,” said the boy’s sister. “There are torture marks on my body.”
In theory, rich and poor are supposed to receive equal respect from each other ( after all they pray in the same masjid !) in an Islamic society like Pakistan. The reality is however different. There is a huge class war between the rich and the poor , as evidenced by this news and other recent such cases !

Ganja Sharif Confirmed As A "Serial Liar" !

PM refuses to recognise own uncle during JIT investigation
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has made important findings in the report that it submitted in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Monday regarding the Panama probe of Sharif family, and said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refused to recognize his own uncle (Khaloo) during the interview, and identified him after two and half hours of questioning.
( heart problem leading to onset of dementia  )
As per details, PM Nawaz remained reluctant in answering the questions regarding the Gulf Steel Mills, and kept on saying “neither does he know Mr. Muhammad Hussain nor his partnership in Gulf Steel Mills.” On the contrary, he admitted after some time that Mr. Hussain is his own uncle. ( IMO, Ganja did not "participate in an interview" , but was "grilled" by interrogators !)
The report states: “Mian Nawaz Sharif was visibly evasive about most of the questions related to Gulf Steel Mills. Despite repeated questions, he stated that neither does he know Mr. Muhammad Hussain nor his partnership in Gulf Steel Mills, which is unlikely. After two and half hours of the interview, he admitted only to the extent of knowing Mr. Muhammad Hussain, as his uncle (Khaloo).” Ganja and his whole extended family ( starting from "Abbaji" the scion of the family! ) have developed a penchant for "lying with a straight face". And now he, his daughter and their two sons have been fully exposed in the massive corruption that is now being reported
On May 16, 2016, Nawaz Sharif addressed the National Assembly as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and said according to the JIT report: “Our father reached Dubai for the purpose of business and established a factory with the name of Gulf Steel comprising of 10 lac square feet of are. This factory, in 1980, was sold for 33.37 million Dirhams or for 9 million Dollars.”
As per the report, Nawaz Sharif said before the JIT: “The Gulf steel Mill was setup mainly from loans. I have neither owned nor held any beneficial interest in Gulf Steel Mills, I was also never involved in the running or operation of any of the foreign companies. I do not want to discuss the details of the sale proceeds of Gulf steel as they were best known to my father. All I know is that they were used for the business set up outside Pakistan later. I cannot however say when was the sale proceed of Gulf steel handed over to Al-Thani family; whether immediately after the sale or later on.” The JIT concluded in its report: “Mian Nawaz Sharif’s statement that this factory (Gulf Steel Mills), in 1980 was sold for 33.37 million Dirhams or for 9 million Dollars cannot be corroborates.” Abbaji must be turning in his grave at the "performance" of his "favourite son "
