This Neelima Jain actually worked for NaMo's UJALA initiative -- effing gungadin scum all over the place.
In her role, she works closely with the Indian states to bolster U.S.-India relations on energy and water reforms. Jain formerly worked with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a government of India entity, and established EESL’s UK operations from the ground up. She led the first-ever acquisition of an overseas company by an entity administered under India’s Ministry of Power. While in the government, she conceived and led the roll out of UJALA, world’s largest zero-subsidy energy efficiency program for domestic consumers.
So this person Neelima Jain has background in this BJP regime? WTF?

Are you referring to his interview asking for US to comment on the internal happenings in India?

If yes, then it is this one-

It is a common strategy by USA to tame a country or create dissatisfaction among the people of a country against its rulers, by creating hyper-inflation as in Venezuela or embargo against Iraq, Iran, and N Korea etc...

They are following the same playbook now, by stopping the export of raw materials for vaccine production e.g: material for Novovax prod. by SII and TLR7/8 molecule for Covaxin production by Bharat Biotech. There is no soothing/sympathisizing message recently regarding covid, which is different from Trump era. We can expect more articles in near future blaming GoI in handling Covid.

US created artificial tension with FONOPS. So, we can expect farmers protest or some minority protest will come to the fore, once the covid spread slows down.

^^^Give the current US regime some time, after all they've only been in office for less than 100 days. India is low on the horizon. Their claim to fame right now is stimulus monies pumping up the US economy. By the end of the year the Xiden administration will demonstrate their lack of commitment both strategically and economically, and may try to interfere in domestic affairs. I believe MAD knows this well and India-US relations will go into cold storage for some time.

What is the exact nature of the situation?

Is it that the vaccine precursors were never approved for export from US to India previously, and India has requested GOTUS for special permission to allow their export now but GOTUS has refused?

Or is it that US used to freely export vaccine precursors to India at other times but GOTUS has stepped in to block their export now?

In whichever case, what is the ostensible reason given by the GOTUS for their decision?

I think that precursors were exported earlier without any additional permits required from the US gov. After Trump involved Defence production act, a whole generic class of materials were banned for export. Interestingly, there is no definitive list of agents that are banned as the act does not list specifics.

So we are in a peculiar situation as US exporters won’t export but can’t say what exactly is restricted. Probably why US government is mum as well.

The Defense Production Act was initiated by Trump for PPE, ventilators and materials earlier in August 2020. Biden extended it to vaccine production materials in February 2021.

India is muscling into potential markets that pfizer, J&J and others have their eyes on

this is the crux of the matter. They will probably leave just enough precursors and other APIs to cover our internal needs and throttle the rest to block exports by India.

how much of an agreement they have with the chinese and are enforcing such productions quotas on India via beijingbiden is yet to be seen.

Only two entities profit from this, the western big pharma and the chinese who have had a major efficacy debacle with their vaccines

the possibility of a yearly booster dose is looming larger and these guys will want to lock in those markets.

china and amerikis have an incestuous business relationship with overtones of parasite and host attributes

So does China/Germany -- US is not the only country to talk about freedom and democracy while it depends on a communist dictatorship for its economic well-being. China knows that money talks with these powers and everything else walks.

https://www.npr.org/2020/10/26/92774325 ... -interests
Standing up to China does not come naturally to Germany. Its largest companies depend on China's market for big portions of their revenue streams. In the first half of 2020, 42% of Volkswagen's revenue came from China, as did 34% of BMW's and 24% of Adidas'. But recently, Beijing's used this market as leverage, with its diplomats taking an increasingly aggressive stance towards Germany and the rest of the EU - like last December, when China's ambassador to Germany threatened retaliation on German companies if Berlin excluded the Chinese telecoms company Huawei from its market

Unprecedented demand for medical supplies and raw material is definitely a fact. What is making the matter worse is the reserving of the supplies and raw materials for Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, and few others in the pipeline like Lilly, Roche etc. Very likely the vaccine priority is for US, then its allies in Europe, Australia, Japan, Brazil, wealthy Chinese etc. India or SII or BB probably lower priority.

First, some numbers for what is at stake...(no, I'm not referring to human lives  )
With the competition struggling, Pfizer's COVID vaccine sales could hit $24B and $14 billion for Moderna

EXCLUSIVE UNICEF says AstraZeneca supply problems outside India resolved (Supply of ingredients is stretched)
...
"At this point, UNICEF expects around 65 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from suppliers outside of India will be available for supply through the end of May to 80 countries."
...
Europe won't renew AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine contracts next year: report
...
Amid delivery delays and concerns over rare but serious blood clots for the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 shots, European officials are looking elsewhere for next year's supply.
...
For Europe, the bloc will now likely lean on the mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech and Moderna in a big way, La Stampa reported. The European Union is keeping all options on the table as it tunes its pandemic response for 2022 and beyond, a European Commission spokesperson told the Italian daily.

Officials are seeking member-state approval to secure up to 1.8 billion Pfizer-BioNTech doses for 2022 and 2023, Reuters reported last week, citing an unnamed EU official. About half of those doses will be optional. Meanwhile, Comirnaty's price tag is ticking up.
...
And, some creative solutions to cross sales.
Spain will test the effects of mixing two different COVID-19 vaccines after the country decided to limit the use of AstraZeneca’s shot to people over 60, Reuters reports. The trial will involve a sample of 600 people of all ages across Spain to see if a dose of Pfizer’s vaccine can be given 28 days after someone’s first AstraZeneca shot. A similar study led by the Oxford Vaccine Group is underway in the U.K.

This COVID vaccine supply global debacle conclusively proves that all the nonsense about "International trade where each country produces what it does best and imports what it does not" is dangerous.

Globalisation is mostly bogus, and seems to work well during "normal" times but falls apart very fast during abnormal global crisis situations. Every country needs to be self sufficient in all essential commodities, and not be dependent on any other country for its supply chain for these commodites, whether it is defense, health, or technology.

India has a long road ahead in many areas -- US/EU seem to have learnt these same lessons after China shutdown the pipeline during the time of COVID.

See a pattern here?

1. FONOPS
2. Currency Manipulation
3. "Human Rights" (a.k.a. "Cashmere-Xinjiang equal-equal")

The Biden Sarkar rule seems to be: "Whatever China does, India must also be blamed and punished for."

Wonder what's next to be hung around India's neck. The next global wave of COVID?

Kissinger's US-China duopoly is a reality today, even though US's public stance is "peer economic competitor".

USA is an unreliable ally whether it is economics or military, and they need to be kept at arm's length and then a bit more. The democrats are bought and paid for by the chinese indirectly, all the high margins of most of the companies in the US stock market rely on the slave labour in china, and the US/EU are working on dividing asia into parts that will have to face china down without US/EU support, and the parts that will help them keep china in check.

Indonesia and Vietnam are prime candidates for keeping china in check, while India, Thailand and the Indian Ocean littoral states are less useful and can be left to China's mercy. Indonesia owns and controls a formidable Island chain that the white race, US/EU, wants to coerce and bribe to its side to blockade china if necessary down the line -- India is not really required to challenge China in the Indian ocean.

The recent op-ed in the American Express by Heiko Maas openly states that breaking up unity in ASEAN is on top of their list -- that would reduce China's influence on states that would help the USA/EU check China's naval power, and USA/Japan check China's expansion eastward in the pacific. Countries like phillipines will be left to deal with China on their own, because they failed to protect the human rights of the jihadi groups in Phillipines, which is very unamerican.

Germany is talking about sending a naval fleet "to fight piracy" in the Indian ocean...riiight.

Yeah, this is how Gorascumbags create and promote a narrative that serves their interests... Xidmala knows he can't beat chinkdaas so make it like there are other bad actors too...who knows what they negotiated in Alaska...from the looks of it they got POTUS/GOTUS by their .alls and squeezed them very hard...
India is left to defend and fend for itself... sad that all those DesiDumbocrats lovers still don't get it and they want to be whiter than the whiteman!...its's our own tribe that stabs us in the back over and over...

^^^I and others warned as much last September when Dems published their manifesto. PIOs ignored the warning signs at their own peril. Need to keep our powder dry and understand how major powers work as Surajsan says.

Next will be travel ban to and from India. Even though GoI is demanding a PCR test prior to boarding an international flight coming in or going out.

Besides the list of 1, 2, and 3; number 4 is the denial of critical materials for vaccine production.

US and China pledge joint action on climate change despite strained ties
“Both countries recall their historic contribution to the development, adoption, signature, and entry into force of the Paris Agreement through their leadership and collaboration,” (uhhhh, wat?) they said in a joint statement.

The pledge, which follows two days of high-stakes meetings in Shanghai, is a signal that climate change could be a rare area of collaboration in a strained relationship. Washington has been highly critical of Beijing’s assertive policies on Taiwan and the South China Sea and over its approach to human rights in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
Article is a bit OT but there is definitely some rapprochement between the two.

To me looks like Biden Admin has decided that India won't buy the fighter planes: F21/F-18 and the EMALs without regime change in India. And bring India into their camp as neo-Gungadin.
So they are using the Corona Virus crisis as an opportunity.

aka comma la heiress,

awaiting, vulture like, the anticipated departure of beijingbiden to move from her current residence Number One Observatory Circle at the Naval Observatory

Anyone heard even a whisper from ‘Chithi’, the Vice President about allowing the export of raw material from US to India at this time of crisis for vaccines ?? The lobby that went all ecstatic over her election win is selectively silent over this rude snub.

AMNESTY EMPLOYEES COMPLAIN OF RACISM
https://www.wionews.com/videos/gravitas ... ism-379132

Current and former employees of Amnesty have exposed the culture of racism in the organisation. They have accused senior staff of using the N-word and the P-word liberally.

U.S Organisations that the U.S govt uses to accuse others are themselves racist to the core. India must question U.S govt and their links to such racist organisations.

Curious how this is supposed to work when the Indian opposition has signed a MoU with the CPC. If this is the case, it will also be the case that the USA has decided to retreat from the world in favor of the G-2 concept.

Citibank is also closing their retail banking division in India, although i don't think its anything to do with Biden administration's recent decisions. Citibank in the late 90s and first decade of 2000s was very popular among corporate clients with many choosing Citibank for direct deposit accounts, so it is surprising that they have decided to throw in the towel.

the citibank credit card assets are being looked at by SBI cards division is the rumor.

It's a data storage issue which the amerikis are fighting tooth and nail. If they had become compliant by storing end-to-end transaction data on local servers in India, matters would not have come to this stage.

The amerikis and all the others including the hans want free access to Indian customer data which they want to seamlessly transfer to their countries and store on their servers only and India under Modi has refused to allow them to do this insisting that Indian consumer and financial data be stored only in India and then also only on locally sited India based servers.

the huge success of rupay has hit them all very hard and they are constantly whining asking to be allowed to be part of the rupay system as well

Is there an article summarizing the American hoarding of supplies and denying ingredients to the RoW? I am aware of a few things they've done - restrict exports, sitting on excess doses, "contribution" to Covax, etc., but a good article with dates if possible would help.
