America’s Far-Right Extremists Are Drawing Inspiration From The Taliban’s Victory In Afghanistan

Right on cue. Top headlines for CNN. Hopefully a protracted standoff will distract enough from Afghanistan.

Hindu American Foundation has a link where you can send mass emails to all colleges responding to this. I did this yesterday. It also seems that some colleges are not even aware this is being done and their name used ( Colorado-Boulder, my local university being one of them)

There are 2-3 regular posters here on BRF who are professors/academics or retired professors from that list of colleges and universities. I hope they are contacting their university administrators about this.

And, that is the key to stop this nonsense. Looks like things are moving in right direction. Send emails to administrative and legal departments of schools/universities asking them if they are aware that their name is being used to demean Indians just like anti-semitism.

We @HinduAmerican got a call from @McMasterU asking why they’re getting so many of the same letter. It’s called a grassroots campaign. Think of it like individuals singing the same song in the same key in a “global” chorus demanding that each and every voice be heard and seen.

Shouldn't Stanford sue the organizers and make a criminal case?

They got the maximum publicity by using your name.

Tomorrow even Taliban can start using your name as 'Political group approved by STanford University"

Universities have been endowed/funded by questionable groups like "abraaj group" run by a Karachi born Naqvi who managed to cheat gates foundation out of a cool 100m$ ( total missing 385m$) while lecturing WEF etc. Here is a case study teaching business . Note how quarter after quarter money appeared in the accounts and disappear after reporting

We don't respect our own roots because our leaders have been insecure, third class colonials, "pandits" and barely clothed charlatans who saw their world and us only through the jaundiced eyes of the commies and the jehadis.

They are appropriating Ghee and Pattal

About Audrey Truschke:

https://historianaudreytruschke.wordpre ... -pakistan/
One shocking proof of Audrey’s connection with Pakistan comes from a very unique place. Let us go back to 2012 to understand this. The Pakistani government was looking for candidates for their fellowship program of 2012-13 to research at AIPS (American Institute of Pakistani Studies). The earliest mention of her on their website is from 2012.
AIPS aims to research on Pakistani history and limelight renovation of old monuments. As I went through their newsletter from 2012, I found out that they are not only removing any research on Hinduism in their studies but also seem to focus on renovating Islamic and Buddhist monuments only. Another thing that stood out was that there are no Annual reports or newsletter available on their site prior of 2012, AIPS was founded on 1973. Why so sudden change in the system? Why did it only happen when Audrey joined?
Further, If one go to the trustees section of AIPS, you can see a person called Manan Ahmed is a part of the board. Manan belongs to the same university as Audrey.
Upon investigating further, it came out to me shockingly that the trustee Manan Ahmed is a far left historian. His entire Twitter timeline tells a different tale, from questioning the Indian government, supporting Umar Khalid and criticizing Hinduism, Ahmad has made a career out of it. Ahmed a NYC resident and being a trustee of Pakistani/Islamic studies has just written two book called Origin of Islam and an upcoming book on Indian history and Hinduism.
Regardless, disappearance of Annual reports, total ignorance of Hinduism in Historical Pakistani Studies, connection with trustees, the whitewasher and foreign apologizer Audrey somehow seems to have links deeply embedded with Pakistan.

Fantastic, Anup Misra ji.

It is Pakistaniyat of the highest order for an *Indian Restaurant* in the USA to openly, brazenly associate itself with a propaganda event dedicated to inciting anti-Hindu Hatred.

We may not be able to do much with IAMC, HFHR, or even Rutgers. But some significant % of Falak restaurant's patronage will definitely be Hindu. Should they not be warned what kind of poison well they are taking their families to?

A bit dated (March 2021), How the Indian Cultural Association of Howard County, Maryland was aggressively prevented from participating in the StopAsianHate rally by Muslims and Communist Chinese.

Sadly, Hate, Racism, and Religious Intolerance are very much alive in Howard County.
Attached is the letter issued to our elected and appointed leaders in Howard County & Maryland regarding the state of religious intolerance and hate bias against the Hindu/Indian community in Howard County.
The Indian Cultural Association (ICA), and Indians stand against hate and violence, against any minority community. Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Rosa Parks remain our guiding lights. We cannot associate ourselves with any such discriminatory outfit which does not practice what it preaches. Prejudice, hate bias, and intolerance cannot be accepted or endorsed.
We (ALL) must stand and speak up against injustices wherever these might exist. Truly when good is silent, evil wins.

Surprised there is no mention of PM Modi's visit to the US this month. In a surprising announcement PMO said Modi may visit US at the end of September and will be meeting President Biden. One can only speculate if this sudden visit to US is to prepare for a post-covid world where India can play a vital role in reducing the reliance on China as the manufacturing hub for everything or the prevailing situation in Afghanistan or an increasingly aggressive China .

All that and surely more! Green energy, combating global terrorism, redefining what the "global rules based order" needs to be for the future, reforming UN and its many organs, increased military ties (purchases,ToT and initiatives), etc etc...

Modi has a much broader and deeper world view than Biden who made it at last after decades of sitting in anterooms of power and shaped by a largely bipolar world view of the Cold War era.

Modi could for instance speak about living (in harmony) with nature as opposed to continuing to exploit nature with superficially "Green" but ever increasingly energivore models of growth which will hit a limit sometime not too late

Speak about striking at the heart of the ideologies that manifest as global terror instead of drooping bombs on this Gillette challenged sooside jehadi or that brain dead mullah

Take initiative in defining what the rules of a rules based order need to be in 21st century as opposed to being stuck in post WW-II and coldwar mindset

Using UN more effectively to achieve some of the above, while drawing more world powers into the effort for a stable and inclusive international environment, instead of going it alone (or at best with NATO) and pulling back like we just witnessed

He might ask Biden what's the progress on "Build Back Better World (B3W)" initiative. Remember that one?

And various bilateral matters of course...

Modi's visit is a great learning opportunity for Biden and his officials. If they are willing and able to...

Modi will pointedly keep Pak and China out of the conversation because he has shown that India can contain them on its own, and is confident of independently continuing to do so. If America wants to talk about it then they have to formulate the "ask" and present it for his consideration.

Just my own speculations onlee...

PM Modi needs to be careful. There are many snakes in this administration who will deliberately try to ambush Modi and embarrass him. The Islamists-leftists-anarchists are always willing, and some senior members of the US executive branch may try to do just that. It is best to limit interactions outside of Xiden's inner circle. Keep in mind that this administration is incompetent in running the US government and is relying on the autopilot of the civil service.

I read the article. To me this is only adapting to Marxist theory into the Indian context.

In the American context they have CRT, as a stick with which to beat the white population. The democratic party is a willing collaborator in this.

Just as the brown sepoy are collaborator against Hindu population in India.

I think that a temporary arrangement can be made with the white population in America and West in order to beat this threat.

Earlier, guys from russia and the uk also came to see our guys.

looks like something is cooking in afghanistan, or has transpired in pukestan for 3 top security honchos from russia, uk, and the us to visit India when all three countries are in the midst of grappling with the fallout of what bye-den has so perilously and unthinkingly precipitated.

one hopes that it is not a concerted and coordinated push to force India to take in hordes of refugees from the region.

Even some from the EU have been calling.

that disclaimer is standard now, almost the world over and it has also been appearing on TV debates at the beginning of the shows.

It is mostly to self protect against iz!@m1c ire and the threat of jehadi violence and it may have a legal implication too.

to break the pattern and build a new one, reach is critical and that is exactly what id wilfully being denied to India and Modi.

the SciAm is a willing part of the DGH cabal and it is doing its bit.

I see the dirty hands of the padres behind this. They have started to raise their heads, especially after "catholic" bye-den has become the president.

On the home front, the coordinated push in AP and in TN against the Hindus is not is not a coincidence.

The Strategic Disconnect between India and US Has Been Revealed by Afghanistan
There is no way the US and India can work together in the east even as the US actively props up India’s mortal and sworn enemies in the west.
September 08, 2021

In December 2017, the Trump administration announced a new national security strategy that sought to shift the focus of the US from combating terrorism to confronting the growing strategic challenge from China and Russia. In April 2021, Donald Trump’s successor, Joe Biden, declared that the US will completely withdraw from Afghanistan before the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. In his speech, Biden echoed Trump’s National Security Strategy and said that “rather than return to war with the Taliban … we have to shore up American competitiveness to meet the stiff competition we’re facing from an increasingly assertive China.”
On August 31, 2021, when Biden announced the end of war in Afghanistan, he justified it by saying that “we’re engaged in a serious competition with China. We’re dealing with the challenges on multiple fronts with Russia … we can do both: fight terrorism and take on new threats that are here now and will continue to be here in the future. And there’s nothing China or Russia would rather have, would want more in this competition than the United States to be bogged down another decade in Afghanistan.”
Clearly, like his predecessor, for Biden too, the China challenge trumps the threat from terrorism emanating from a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. That the Americans are seeking to confront and compete with China and Russia by ceding strategic space in Afghanistan to both these countries is a rather strange way to join the strategic competition. If China and Russia, together with some other countries—notably Pakistan—manage to bring stability to Afghanistan, it will mean loss of strategic space for the US and its allies from a very large geography in Asia. On the other hand, if America’s adversaries fail to pacify and normalise Afghanistan—a more likely outcome given that it is Taliban and their disreputable partners like Al Qaeda and other regional and global terror organisations who now have a state to boot—the terrorism challenge will metastasize into an uncontrollable strategic threat. Both these scenarios will seriously impact the US’ Indo-Pacific strategy.
India, which is a pivotal player in the Indo-Pacific strategy of the US, has been watching with consternation her strategic environment getting severely disturbed by the shambolic end of the US war in Afghanistan. For many years now, top US officials and policy wonks maintained that while the US and India had 95 per cent convergence east of India (read China), they had just 5 per cent convergence west of India (read Afghanistan and Pakistan). To appease the Pakistanis, the Americans were chary of letting India play a bigger role in Afghanistan. The security domain was a virtual no-go area for India. US Congressmen (including some of Indian-origin) would come to India and peddle the Pakistani line that India should keep signing the cheques in Afghanistan but desist from exercising any real influence which would rile the Pakistanis.
Successive Indian governments played along because as long as the US was present in Afghanistan, the danger of Afghanistan becoming a major source of instability and terrorism in the region remained more or less under control. That situation no longer obtains. This means that going forward, unless the Indo-US convergence to the west of India matches the convergence to the east of India, it will be difficult for India to partner the US. In other words, the two countries will now have to work in tandem on both the east and west of India.

Yet another poverty p0rn peddler. That makes SciAm a cheap p0rn magazine. I used to be a subscriber for many years, glad I didn't renew when work became very busy & travel and I had months of unread issues piling up.

Must admit after all the Rhonadhona on Baki channels in the past they have spent way above their weight; if not lobbying then on media propaganda; why are we not spending money writing op-Eds or developing media assets that can put our point of view Arnab not withstanding .

We worry about going to war, impact on economy, big power relations etc and hence conveniently do nothing . But we refuse to spend and do even the bare minimum on media.

Western societies like it or not are all media driven the average John is getting dumber every day with social media and tv, how can our chaps abroad not notice or go they just live in fancy places and eat fancy meals with others in fancy postcodes with sycophants of all kinds in their midst.
I wonder what exactly is MEAs mandate here ? Where are our ambassadors and envoys ?

We know the Xiden brigade is firing all cylinders and these guys have time and again failed to deliver on time, always reacting in a measly way. Or I wonder being part of the old Khangress ecosystem they are in cahoots with them and doing the bare minimum statement baazi

You can't teach old IFS dogs new tricks. SJ has publicly said as much. Same frustration MAD has with babulok. Chalta hai to Daudraha hai is a huge gap that can neither be bridged nor ignored. Sigh !
