over 100 countries voted against Trump's plan including UK.
9 countries apparently voted in favour
Aside from Israel, the only countries to side with the United States by voting no were Guatemala, Honduras, Togo, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru and Palau.

Poodlestan voted against US. And from the Baksheeshistanis:
Many diplomats who spoke before the vote — from Turkey, Venezuela, Pakistan, the Maldives, Bangladesh and others — took offense at the pressure campaign by the White House, including last-minute threats by Mr. Trump to cut off aid to countries who voted for the resolution.
Baksheeshistan’s ambassador, Maleeha Lodhi, said her country remained a steadfast supporter of the Palestinians “despite the kind of threats we have received in recent days” from the United States.

India to seek supply of radars, missiles by 2018
India is all set to take a big stride in exports of arms and equipment with the defence ministry in the process of tying up with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Myanmar and Armenia for supply of radars, helicopters and missiles, and tank upgradation by 2018.

South Block sources confirmed deepening of military ties with these countries with high-level delegations interacting with defence ministry and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) units in Bengaluru this month.

For the first time, Saudi Arabia is sending 10 of its nationals for training to become officers at the National Defence Academy (NDA) next year.

Government sources confirmed that two joint committee meetings have already taken place with Riyadh as the latter is interested in a joint venture to manufacture weapons and equipment in Saudi Arabia.

It is understood that the UAE has also shown interest in purchasing DRDO-developed Astra 70-kilometer range air- to-air missile for its Mirage fighters. The beyond visual range missile has been successfully tested by the Indian Air Force on its Su-30 MKI fighter jet and will be soon integrated for test firing on its Mirage 2000 jets.

While Myanmar wants India to upgrade its T-72 main battle tanks, which the former had purchased from Ukraine, Jordan is interested in buying the Kamov 226 T multi-utility helicopter to be built under India-Russia collaboration. Jordan is also looking at the possibility of buying other hardware manufactured by the DRDO.

On its part, Armenia is interested in purchasing DRDO- manufactured radars for battle-field theatre and long-distance artillery ammunition from India.
UAE has spent close to 200-300 Cr this year on eqpt purchases from OFB this year. Exchange of personel and joint training being conducted in institutions of both countries.

China and the Saudi-Iran conflict
China has managed a fine balancing act between Iran and Saudi Arabia by playing its cards well. Keeping a low political and military profile in the Middle East, Recent events have amply demonstrated this balanced approach. In the last year, China has established an “all round strategic partnership” with both Riyadh and Tehran and has promised to massively expand economic interaction with both Middle East powers, pledging to increase bilateral trade to 600 billion dollars with Iran, and signing deals for 70 billion dollars with Saudi Arabia while offering to buy five per cent of Saudi Aramco’s shares. However, it would be increasingly difficult for China to sustain its pragmatic and lucrative policy of engaging both Iran and Saudi Arabia without entanglement in their regional conflict. There are four reasons why the prospects of continuing this policy do not look good.
First, China’s grand Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), formerly the One Belt and One Road Initiative (OBOR), would increase substantially Beijing’s presence in the Middle East and, hence, would enmesh the Middle Kingdom into the perilous regional politics of the Saudi-Iran conflict. The BRI, a megaproject which aims to increase China’s access to the Persian Gulf’s energy resources and connect China’s economy with those of the Middle East, Central Asia and eventually Europe though massive infrastructure building, would be seriously affected by the instability generated by Riyadh and Tehran at hotspots such as Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Qatar. Such regional instability presents a formidable obstacle to the BRI’s strategic design, as it undermines connectivity, threatens infrastructure projects and makes an economic corridor through the volatile Middle East to the markets of developed Europe less viable. Beyond such grand strategic designs, the Saudi-Iran competition would complicate China’s BRI-focused policy toward third countries involved in the competition, such as Qatar, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon, making it difficult for Beijing to engage with actors in these countries without taking sides. Just as important, as most of the Gulf and the Levant nations are divided between pro-Iranian and pro-Saudi camps which do not interact economically, it would be very difficult for China to integrate the two sides in a shared economic and infrastructure system.
Second, the BRI would align China much more closely with Iran, a process already under way, with serious strategic implications for China. The reason for this is simple — Iran has much more to offer to China than Saudi Arabia. The Islamic Republic is a key component of BRI, as its geographic position gives China access on land from Central and South Asia to the Persian Gulf and the westernmost parts of Asia that border Europe. Iran, whose hostility to the US guarantees its reliability in Beijing’s eyes, also boasts a large population and a substantial market for Chinese products and investment
third, the US is likely to massively complicate China’s fine balancing act between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Washington is not only a staunch Saudi ally and a foe of Iran’s theocratic regime but is also highly concerned by its weakened position in the Middle East and the steep rise of Tehran’s power in the region. Given this background, the US is likely to perceive China’s deepening engagement with Tehran as a major challenge to its sanctions on Iran and a factor enabling the Islamic republic to feel more secure and, consequently, pursue a more expansionist policy in the region. Finally, China’s balancing act in the Middle East would be increasingly challenged by the recent sharp escalation of the Saudi-Iran regional conflict. While some of this escalation can be attributed to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s risk-taking foreign policy, much has been the result of Iran’s consolidation of its regional position and its successes in Iraq and Syria which, coupled with the US-Iran nuclear deal, have raised Saudi fears of Iranian regional dominance. This escalation inherently threatens China’s economic agenda in the Middle East and complicates its efforts to engage both the Islamic republic and the Kingdom. Moreover, the sharp escalation of Saudi-Iranian competition is likely to boost further Islamist radicalisation in the region to China’s disadvantage. Such radicalisation and the terrorism it produces might spill into Pakistan, a key Chinese ally whose territory Iran claims is used by Saudi-backed terrorists against the Islamic republic, and even into Beijing’s restive Xinjiang province. In addition, the spiraling Saudi-Iranian competition is also pushing up energy prices and affecting China’s growth which has largely benefited from low oil prices in recent years, although to a lesser extent than often believed. Much more important, on the longer run the insecurity bred by the Saudi-Iranian competition and the geopolitical instability in the region would lead Riyadh and Tehran to seek a strategic, even military relationship with Beijing. This would present China with a dilemma, as both accepting and refuting overtures for such relationships would pose serious problems, either of entanglement or of straining relations with key partners. In short, China’s balancing act between Iran and Saudi Arabia would be much more difficult to sustain in the future. This situation would likely slow down BRI’s progress, create tensions with the US and face Beijing with difficult choices about how to navigate the Saudi-Iran competition

And so the Palestinians demonstrate why their being tarred with the appellation of being the original modern day Mohammadden Terrorists was not undeserved by the action of the Palestinian “Ambassador” to the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Waleed Abu Ali, attending a rally organized by the Difah-e-Pakistan Council, an umbrella group of 40 Mohammadden belief based extremist groups in Pakistan, headed by the United Nations Designated Terrorist and one of the Masterminds of 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.

So much for Palestinian gratitude for India’s support last week at the United Nations General Assembly for the resolution opposing the US move of shifting of their Embassy to Jerusalem.

@Swamy39
A few days after India voted for Palestine's UNGA Resolution on Jerusalem, Palestine's Envoy to Pakistan shared today the stage with terrorist Hafeez Sayeed in a Rawalpindi public rally condemning India.

Earlier he had tweeted this:
Subramanian Swamy‏Verified account
@Swamy39

It is against India's national interest to vote for the pro-Palestine Resolution in the UNGA. Palestine has never supported India on Kashmir question and Islamic terror attacks. Israel has stood with India always.

Our Ministry of External Affairs advises “Palestinian side has conveyed deep regrets over the incident “ of Palestinian “Ambassador” to the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Waleed Abu Ali, sharing a dais with UN designated terrorist and Mohammadden Terrorist mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafeez Mohammad Saeed:
Press release on India’s reaction over the Palestinian Ambassador in Pakistan’s association with terrorist Hafiz Saeed
December 30, 2017

Government of India has strongly conveyed to the Palestinian side that the Palestinian Ambassador in Pakistan's association with terrorist Hafiz Saeed, who is proscribed by the United Nations, at an event in Rawalpindi on 29.12.2017, is unacceptable. The concerns were conveyed both in New Delhi to the Palestinian Ambassador and in Ramallah to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, State of Palestine.

The Palestinian side has conveyed deep regrets over the incident and assured the Government of India that they are taking serious cognizance of their Ambassador's presence at this event. They have said they will deal with this matter appropriately. It was also conveyed that Palestine highly values its relationship with India and stands with us in the war against terrorism, and will not engage with those who commit acts of terror against India.

We take note of the assurances given by the Palestine side.

As at the time of posting this, nothing however on the website of the so called “Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine”. A case of Palestinian inefficiency, lack of concern for India’s anger or Mohammadden Taqiyyah of telling us lies which they do not admit before the rest of the world?:

Retracting one's envoy just does not cut it. It has no meaning. What would be necessary now is an official statement by the Palestinians on where they stand on the Kashmir issue. Let that be forthcoming and future Indian stand on Palestine should be guided by that statement. If it's against the Indian position, India should immediately revise it's vote in the UNGA.

Palestine could very likely be practising the Mohammadden belief based lying doctrine of dissimulation aka Taqiyyah when they said “On the basis of the principled and firm Palestinian position, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates considered the participation of our Ambassador in Pakistan in a mass rally in solidarity with Jerusalem, held in Rawalpindi on Friday and in the presence of individuals accused of supporting terrorism is an unintended mistake, but not justified”.

This is after all not the first time that Palestine Ambassador Waleed Abu Ali has committed the unintended mistake of associating with UN Designated Terrorist and mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.

Two newspaper articles datelined August 18, 2014 from media of the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan disclosing fact that Palestine “Ambassador” Waleed Abu Ali addressed the “Palestine Unity Caravan” organised by Jammat ud Dawa (JuD) and attended by UN Designated Terrorist and mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.

From Dawn (Clicky) :
………………….. Hafiz Saeed was speaking at JuD-sponsored ‘Palestine Unity Caravan’ that marched from Nasser Bagh up to Masjid Shuhada on The Mall.

In Lahore, Palestinian ambassador Waleed Abu Ali spoke to the rally by phone. ………….

In his telephonic address, Waleed Abu Ali appreciated the efforts of the JuD emir in highlighting the Palestine issue not only in Pakistan, but all over the world.
From Express Tribune (Clicky):
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek must include “peace in Palestine” in their charter of demands and press the government to take practical steps to stop the “genocide of Palestinians Muslims in Israel,” Jamaat-ud Dawah amir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said on Sunday.

He was addressing the rally Palestine Unity Caravan organised by the JuD. ……………………..

Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Waleed Abu Ali, …………………..and leaders of several other religious organisations addressed the Palestine Unity Caravan. …………………..

In his telephonic address to the protesters, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Waleed Abu Ali appreciated Saeed’s efforts in highlighting the Palestinian cause not only in Pakistan, but all over the world. …………………….

A Maulana by name of Tahir Ashrafi who is identified as the Chairman of the Mohammadden Group the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), says Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has reinstated Palestines so called “Ambassador” to the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan, one Walid Abu Ali. Said Walid Abu Ali was reportedly recalled after India protested for his sharing dais with UN Designated Terrorist and 26/11 Mumbai Mohammadden Terrorist attack, Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.

Given that citizens of the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic. are inveterate liars but bowing to the need of sensible caution when dealing with the Mohammadden doctrine of Taqiyyah which has also infected Palestine, I wait for confirmation from other sources :

There Are Limits To Recent Saudi Attempts To Liberalize Their Country

Famous Saudi columnist gets 5 years in jail for slamming royal court
JEDDAH – A Saudi Arabian criminal court has awarded five years imprisonment to a renowned columnist on charges of criticising the royal court.
The court issued the ruling against Saleh al-Shehi on Thursday, and banned him from leaving the country for five years after completion of the jail term, the Okaz online newspaper reported.Saudi authorities arrested the columnist on Jan 3 after he accused the royal court, the official body that represents the king and crown prince of the country, of corruption while speaking in a TV show Yahalla on Rotana Channel. Those who are currently sitting on the "corrupt throne" cannot be criticized !
According to the 2017 World Press Freedom Index, Saudi Arabia is at 168th position out of 180 countries for free expression. In September, the new Crown Prince ordered the arrest of several prominent Saudi personalities, including moderate clerics, for raising fingers on his domestic and foreign policies. The more things appear to change, the more they remain the same !

Even more dramatically, she gave an opening speech at the Festival, and the speech was attended by King Salman (who is not in best health, but went still) and many leading princes. It was a very well received speech, and then she met the king as well as several other senior princes, including the head of the National Guard.

It is a totally different thing when an Indian woman minister goes to the Kingdom, she carries a civilizational heft and ancient connections which the Peninsular Arabs are well aware of. In the past (at the state level) they were dismissive of India for the most part, and paid attention to it only as a source of trouble-free manpower - since we had neither wealth nor power. The dynamic has changed.

This week I believe our Prime Minister will visit the UAE, where he will be shown plans for a grand temple in Abu Dhabi, where Hindus can worship. We are also likely to take a share in ADNOC subsidiary ADMA-OPCO (Abu Dhabi Marine Areas - Operating Company). This is particularly pleasing for me because, there was a time when my family was educated but desperately poor in Mallustan - where the Brits and Commies as well as the Moplah Rebellion had done their bit and disenfranchised a large number of tharawads.

My father somehow managed to get a job in ADMA-OPCO, which saved us. And now we are both alive to see this. Can't tell you how proud this makes me feel.

Well, a bit of personal history there to go with regional developments.

Not really newsworthy anymore, which suggests a lull in the action but not an end to it.

Looks like barbaria is the place where pukes has either stored their nukes. Dog is loyal to its madter to fund some deficit and give free oil in lieu of orphan soldier heads being shaheedized in the name of brotherly love..
