That's the right way to go forward. Appointment by a dysfunctional committee. Let the majority have its say.

Yay! Track Thoo is alive again.
Soon all the anti-india netas, congressis, leftists will come crawling out of the woodwork and head to green pastures to indulge in wining and dining and pee-pee contact, and Oh! yes, the necessary element: Make pakistan == india, cry about evil mooodi and hindoo intolerance

These guys are all tied together at the hip. We would all be fools to not recognize this fact.

One does wonder, what the London school of economics gets out of this? Surely someone there is motivated by Jazba-e-pakistan amongst the organizers, and still living in a colonial hangover. Maybe getting some funding on the side from certain unmentionable sources both from the east and the west

Great! Just Great !!!

But, A.S.Dulat has been speaking along similar lines for a few years now, whatever his service record earlier has been. He is also on the NSAB.

And note the bloody scum bag Dulat is so pathetic and pusillanimous in defending India's position, while the Paki, true to his TFTA delusion is as aggressive as always even in track thoo setting.

GaganJi, I predicted this a long time ago. Its no lobger India Vs TSP, its India Vs "India" + TSP (with wink wink nod nod from western bahadurs)

Should BJP lose 2019, you can be rest assured what you say above is where we are headed. And I am repeating another often repeated prediction I have made. The Hindu hating Congoons, Indian leftist, and the entire ecosystem they have spanned with support from the west have a scripted solutions for India and Paaaaakinstaaan: Joint sovereignty over Kashmir. Push Dulat a little, and this is exactly what he is saying although not in those exact words. Believe me, there is no conspiracy, these are the contours I see playing out. And only BJP/RSS stand in between. The entire Indian opposition see in the Kashmir sell out to TSP an extension of their perverted notion of secularism.

ISI has connections with terrorist groups: top US General

Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has connections with terrorist groups and runs its own foreign policy, General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Tuesday. Responding to a question from Senator Joe Donnelly, at a congressional hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Gen. Dunford said: “I think it’s clear to me that the ISI has connections with terrorist groups.”
His views were later echoed by Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, who said: “We have seen the government of Pakistan come down on terrorism, while ISI appears to run its own foreign policy.” Same message probably conveyed to Asif FM , Pakiland !
Mr. Mattis added that the U.S. would try to work with Pakistan “one more time”. “We need to try one more time to make this strategy work with them, by, with and through the Pakistanis, and if our best efforts fail, the President is prepared to take whatever steps are necessary,” he said.
A joint statement issued after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with President Donald Trump in June had expressed similar sentiments.Mr. Mattis, who met Mr. Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman last week in New Delhi, told the Senators that “the meetings could not have gone better”. He also described the state of play in bilateral ties as a “generational opportunity”.He said Mr. Modi was taking India forward economically, “to a much higher level of living for his people, to a bigger role in the world.” "And that role, from our perspective, is a wholly positive one right now,” he added.

India’s former Intelligence Chief, Amarjit Singh Dulat says only dialogue can resolve Kashmir dispute, reported Radio Pakistan. Addressing a function organized by London School of Economics’ South Asia Forum, he said India’s strategy of not engaging with Pakistan makes no sense at all. Ex-Raw Chief said New Delhi has created a mess in Kashmir in the past 15 months. The former Director General of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence, Ehsan-ul-Haq, said the situation in Kashmir had taken a turn for the worse since last July.He said Indian forces had tackled protest with singular ruthlessness and indiscriminate use of pellet guns.He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his extremist allies are using harsh rhetoric against Pakistan to electoral and political advantage. This "explains" the earlier picture and the bonhomie between the two ! Indian Govt should take due note .

Can’t believe a former RAW chief is bad mouthing his nation and their armed forces in such a public way and that too in front of a former ISI chief.

Love, compassion and Democracy will solve the Kashmir problem? Yeah okay.

Describing the killings of youth and security personnel in the violence that has erupted in the region as "unfortunate", Dulat stressed that "heavy-handedness" is not the answer.

"One message which comes out of Kashmir is that a lot can be achieved with love and compassion but never by force. And, I think that is the mistake we have made in the last 15 months," he said.

The former intelligence chief was of the view that talks with separatist groups should not be ruled out as all matters "need to be discussed upfront" between Delhi and Srinagar.

"Democracy works. Apart from the mess we have created, the mistake we are making is not talking to people. It is high time we started talking...even to the Hurriyat. The idea of talking to them is to mainstream them and get them into the democratic process," he said.

Dulat, who was also a former special director of India s Intelligence Bureau (IB) and served as IB joint director in Kashmir in the late 1980s, claimed that the Kashmiri people are "not happy" with the BJP-PDP coalition for bringing the RSS into the Valley.

"The RSS may have come into the Valley but will not achieve anything," he said.

Two Pieces Of Bad Economic News From Pakistan :

Pakistan warned against delaying anti-tax evasion measures
The culture of "tax evasion" cannot be wiped out overnite. It is ingrained from top ( Ganja Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Imran Khan ) to the bottom ( local chaprassi and the biryani seller on the street !)

SMEs losing ground to imports from China
This is another economic indicator of the "Chini-fication of Pakiland !

Unclear what Dulat's motives are.
Glass half full or half empty?

Either he is giving a ghutti to the Pakistani, with soothing pillow talk, or he really feels that Pee-Pee contact is the way to go.
He was R&AW chief duirng ABV's tenure as PM, and then as advisor on Kashmir in the Prime Ministers Office and served there from January 2001 to May 2004. ABV was PM till May 2004

No Gagan, I disagree. You only had to watch this Dulat puke over the past few years. He has been peddling WKK p!ss for ages now. He is a frequent "guest" on Undy traitors TV peddling usual Congoon crap about ModiJi/DovalJi's so called "hyper-nationalism". Only in India will those who show rightful indignation at TSP's pigLeT policy be labeled as "hyper-nationalists".

Jhadav likely to be denied consular access: report

Pakistan has decided to proceed with its decision of denying consular access to detained Indian spy Kulbhushan Jhadav, a local media outlet reported on Sunday. Earlier, the International Court of Justice had stayed the execution of Indian spy Jadhav and asked Pakistan to provide consular access to the spy.Pakistan, in its reply to the ICJ to be sent on October 12, states that Jhadav cannot be granted consular access on the basis of forged documents, adding that he had entered the country with the purpose of spying. Many observers have questioned whether Jadhav is indeed alive or not !
Moreover, the government also decided to appoint former chief justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani as an ad-hoc judge for the Kulbhushan Jhadav case.
Pakistan maintains that all the legal procedures were observed in the death sentence of the India spy.

Immy Still Lusting For PM- Ship

Nawaz defaming army, judiciary to hide money laundering, alleges Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday lashed out at Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for lacking meritocracy and being family-dominated parties.Addressing a rally in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the PTI chief termed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi a ‘puppet’ and said that the current premier still considered Nawaz as his prime minister.Questioning the merit of Hamza Shehbaz and Maryam Nawaz for assuming key roles in the PML-N, the PTI chief said that PML-N leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan deserved a key role in the party. Immy promoting his party in FATA . Hoping to incorporate the Tribal Agencies in KP Province - PTI rules there !
“If Nawaz is punished for money laundering, all his wealth will be brought back to Pakistan,” Imran remarked. ‘Nawaz and “his ministers” are bashing the state institutions to hide the Sharif family’s corruption, the PTI chief added. Imran is not as "clean" as he makes himself to be . There are allegations of impropriety against him as well !
He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman played politics in the name of Islam. The PTI chief went on to criticise Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl by saying, ‘Maulana Fazlur Rehman sells his conscience for a ‘diesel permit’. There is no love lost between the two. The Maulana has accused Imran of being Zionist Agent ( Jemima - his ex is Jewish !)
Imran Khan alleged that Nawaz Sharif was defaming army and judiciary to hide his money laundering. He said the parliament passed a law by which a criminal could become a party chairman.
He said father of Ishaq Dar was owner of a small shop but Ishaq Dar has become billionaire. He said Rs 1000 bn were being shifted abroad through money laundering. He added if the same money was spent on the nation then poverty and unemployment would be rooted out.KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak addressed the gathering before the PTI chief. Local MNAs and senior leaders of the provincial government were also present on stage.

On an objective level, the whole Paki political and military establishment is totally corrupt from top to bottom. So Imran cannot (falsely ) claim that he has a monopoly on "cleanliness"

AoA, martial-law and sue-ban-in-law!
Shenzen-on-the-Arabian-Sea announced!! Chinification 2.0.

Chinese firm announces plans for $150m gated community in Pakistan’s Gwadar port city

The China Pak Investment Corporation– a private investment house, has announced acquisition of 3.6 million square foot area at the International Port City project in the city of Gwadar, along the Arabian Sea coastline in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
The final master plan for China Pak Hills is currently being refined in Hong Kong; It will also be home to the Gwadar Financial District
The investment company will be developing the first of it’s kind $150 million gated master community tailor-made for the expected 500,000 incoming Chinese professionals expected in Gwadar by 2022
...will feature a range of state-of-the-art amenities including an open-air shopping boulevard; indoor shopping mall; restaurants and eateries; an international school & nursery; six community parks; indoor and outdoor sports facilities including tennis courts and a resident’s gymnasium; a water desalination plant and recycling centre
“We believe Gwadar is following in the footsteps of Shenzen which represented a historic population rise, from a population of 30,000 in 1980 to 11 million people in 2017
we expect this to be one of the most strategic cities in South Asia.

Exclusive for the han. What about bars, casinos and night clubs, similar to the ones favored by the mainland chinis in Macau? Will those be included?

Keeping in mind that chini jobs for the chinis in the land of strictly pure will now be plentiful, here's another gem of a news:

Chinese students learning Urdu eyeing Pakistan job opportunities

Urdu may be a bit more challenging than other languages, but a growing number of Chinese students are choosing to learn it as they anticipate opportunities to be offered by Chinese companies carrying out development projects in Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)
To cope with the demand, several universities in Shanghai, Tianjian, Kunming, Urumqi and Inner Mongolia are considering setting up Urdu departments, Zhou Yuan said
A Chinese student who has adopted the Pakistani name ‘Rabia’ said she intended to become an Urdu teacher after completing her study.
Chinese students Mehtab, Mehrin and Alizeh also spoke about their interest in Urdu and vowed to play an important role in enhancing Sino-Pak friendship and economic cooperation, while, Moosa, Junaid and Amer said they are learning Urdu to further promote cultural and people to people contact.

All this while pakis were climbing over each other to learn Mandarin and hopefully get low level jobs in chini companies doing business in pakhanistan!! Little did they know that SeePak will be the way to get the chinis to learn erdoo. Now even the toll collector jobs are going to go to the erdoo-speaking han. :((

I still cannot believe he talks about RSS etc with Pakis in a debate on Kashmir where he agrees with all their points. The rot runs real deep

Dulat is compromised then.
This glass is half empty.
The motives may be left unstated.
Personally I don't think what Dulat days today makes any difference, other than giving the pakistanis some brownie points and a free junket for him.

The thing to note is that track two has again received funding from sources in the west, from europe.
This even as the european delegation was in Delhi just this week trying to improve trade ties.
This means that attempts at reviving the same old are afoot by the usual suspects.

Nawaz’s son-in-law Safdar arrested on return to Pakistan
https://www.thenews.com.pk/latest/23549 ... o-Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Muhammed Safdar have been arrested from Benazir International Airport by a special six-member NAB team. While Maryam Nawaz had left the airport for her house as she had the option to get pre-arrest bail which she reportedly signed before leaving, the warrants of her spouse are non-bailable, which has given rise to an interesting situation and led to arrest of her spouse Capt (Retd) Safdar.Ousted Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Muhammed Safdar arrived at Benazir International Airport through Qatar Airways at around 01:20am, where they were received by PML-N senior leaders, including Daniyal Aziz, Asif Kirmani, Parvez Rasheed, Tariq Fazl Chaudhri and State Minister Talal Chaudhri.Maryam Nawaz and her husband are required to appear before the court on Monday for the hearing of a reference filed against the Sharif family on the order of the Supreme Court. It is worth mentioning here that six-member NAB team was present at the airport to arrest former prime minister Nawaz sharif's son-in-law Muhammed Safdar as accountability court had issued the non-bailable warrants for Maryam Nawaz and Capt (Rtd) Mohammed Safdar fro not appearing even after repeated summons.Till filing of this report, workers of PML-N gathered and started chanting in favour of Safdar Abbasia a head of NAB vehicle in which Safdar Abbasi was being taken after arrest. He would be kept at NAB office Islamabad and be produced in the morning before accountability court in references.Earlier in the day, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar left for Pakistan to appear before the accountability court. Both have been summoned, along with Nawaz Sharif and sons, by the Islamabad Accountability Court onMonday.

After news items like Mortar shells from Iran land in Panjgur
Now Iran says to Terrirstan :
Mortar shell into Pakistani territory on bordering areas is the only way to deal with terrorists
Translation: (One can also use google translate )
The deputy chairman of the National Security Commission (NSC) has considered the use of mortar shells to pursue terrorists in Pakistan's soil, saying that agreements are signed between countries, and also we signed such an agreement with Pakistan in previous years.

Pakistani media reported on Sunday firing several mortars from Iran's borders to their border areas; at least four mortars have been fired from the Iranian border area in the Pakistani area of Taftan, according to the ExpressTruibune base.

Kamal Dehghani Firoozabadi, deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign and Security Policy Committee in an interview with the correspondent of the political group of the news agency, said about the claim of the "ExpressTruibune": "There is/was never any offensive to our neighboring territory from our territory, nor it would take place in the future."

He continued: at the border crossing point, if the terrorists or the criminals want to take action inside our country, border guards may use all their means to prevent this from happening, and in some cases, if they , the criminals And smugglers of drugs and disruptors , needed to be prosecuted, in coordination with Pakistani side , border guards will chase them.

The Taft and Meybod delegate stated: "Agreements between countries are signed for cases like the pursuit of terrorists who crossed the border of the country and go to neighboring countries, and we signed such an agreement with Pakistan in previous years.

The deputy chairman of the National Security Commission noted: "We have also given decisive powers to our border guards, so that we can prosecute drug and human traffickers and those who disturb the borders.

In response to the question that Iran might launch missiles/mortars on the border if terrorists enter Iran, Dehghani said that there might be conflicts against terrorists to pursue terrorists and that this is a natural thing in the world.

"Border conflicts between the two countries in the world are different, the border guards of the two fellow countries may be involved, but the border guards of the two countries of Iran and Pakistan are in agreement and have formal agreements also coordinated, and we have no hostile factions and our main enemies are smugglers.

The deputy chairman of the National Security Commission about the reaction of Iran to the terrorist attacks on the borders and whether we are just waiting for the actions of the neighboring country, said: "We are taking steps at all levels, that is, we carry out security and intelligence operations and the Foreign Ministry leads Diplomatic relations, and security authorities are conducting bilateral talks between Iran and Pakistan, aiming to establish border security in cooperation amongst the two countries."

Should suit Paki H&D just fine..

I have no illusions that the same old has in any way changed except for a few contours here and there given TSP's perfidy that affected west in AfPak. So its the same old India and Paaaakistaaan this or India and Paaaakistaaan that.

The problem as I see it is that the Congoon ecosystem with western funding is alive and kicking. Thus, there is an immutable rot among the colonized NRI and RNI elite who have bought into the line India cannot advance in any meaningful way without taking Paaaakistaaan along. Corollary to this is that pigLeT terror against India must not be viewed in the same vein as terror against the west: unadulterated evil. Or else "Hindu nationalists" gain ascendancy. Its once again the secular BS at play. In the minds of these perverts, bringing TSP to book means that "Hindu nationalists" will exert power and control over Muslims, and this is unacceptable. It has to be equal equal even if it means TSP's thuggery not only needs to be overlooked but rewarded. And those opposing this are "hyper-nationalists".

C'mon CRamS
How can you say that? You paint with too broad a brush!
Things are either black or white for you.

Things are dramatically different in the relations that India has with all nations, including terroristan.
Which BTW, that abomination was called "Terroristan" in the UN general assembly no less!

Things are not exactly going great for Pakistan / Terroristan. There is great disquiet in their ranks, they see the endgame being played before their eyes.
If the Pakistanis and their chummy buddies in India don't understand the fact that Pakistan is sinking fast, and they will sink along with them.

Pakistan, even as it sinks wants to do an == in Track 2, perhaps the one last forum where its interlocutors can pretend to be an equal by lying through their teeth. Given a chance, India will knock that nation out.

Please learn to differentiate between reality and make-believe media circus - let the masses be entertained and be aggravated by it. Sir, you ought to know better by now.

If this is not a red herring, I can only hazard a guess as to extent of damage the likes of Dulat did when they were in the position of near-supreme authority on matters concerning J&K and national security.

Former spy chiefs want Indo-Pak cricketing ties resumed. Do you agree?
October 09, 2017 10:51 IST
Two former spy chiefs of India and Pakistan, Amarjit Singh Dulat, the former chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and General (retd) Ehsanul Haq, the former director general of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), have urged the two countries to resume playing cricket in order to strengthen diplomatic ties.
At a talk organised by South Asia Centre, London School of Economics' (LSE) Pakistan Development Society and the South Asia Future Forum in London, the two former spy chiefs agreed that cricket can serve as a peacemaker and can be helpful for the national interest of both countries.
According to Geo News, both spy chiefs said that the resumption of dialogue is much needed between the two countries. "India and Pakistan should play cricket to give relief to their people and reduce tension."

Abbasispeak.

Pakistan no more reliant on US for military requirements: Prime Minister Abbasi

Pakistan is no more reliant on the United States for military requirements and will reach out to others if one source [of military supplies] dries up, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbas said in an interview with the Arab News on Sunday.
It may cost more, it may consume more resources, but we have to fight that war, and that’s what we emphasised to all the people that we met
We have Chinese and European systems. Recently, for the first time we inducted Russian attack helicopters.
Speaking about his "unscheduled" meetings on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), he said that they were held on the request of the US administration and proved to be "very constructive".
While speaking to the Arab News on the economic challenges the country is facing, the prime minister said that Pakistan will neither reach out to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), nor devalue its currency.
He conceded that declining reserves is a serious issue but said that Pakistan will look to solve it within its own resources.
Abbasi also accepted that falling exports and rising imports were widening the current account deficit but, he said, falling exports is a worldwide trend while the rise in imports "actually signals growth in the economy 8) because the people have more money to spend on luxury goods."
Pinning economic hopes on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Abbasi said that the project will boost Pakistan's infrastructure which he termed "the basic ingredient" of any economy.
It’s really a game-changer
it will have multiplier effect
Abbasi rejected suggestions that large investments would give China undue influence in Pakistan. “It’s a two-way relationship,” he said.
He added that Pakistan does not see the CPEC as being "a threat of any kind". "They have equity investments here but mostly, it is debt or loans of some kind and it is basically focused on certain areas." :-?
Pakistan’s economy has the capacity to repay those loans.

In other words, all is well with pakhanistan.

Bajwa Biradari- Bajwa Ka Raaj

Three top army officers including ex-DG ISPR Asim Bajwa reshuffled

Three army officers, including former director general (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Asim Bajwa, are to be reshuffled, according to a handout released by the army's media wing on Thursday. Lt Gen Asim Bajwa has been posted as corps commander southern command (Quetta), replacing Lt Gen Aamer Riaz, ISPR said.
Lt Gen Ali will replace Lt Gen Asim Bajwa, who was posted as the inspector general of the Arms Branch by Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa. So, the Bajwa COAS is "looking after" his own clansman. Surely this is a promotion of sorts
Lt Gen Asim Bajwa remained the public face of the military for nearly four-and-a-half years, and was the first three-star general to hold the position. ( Under the "Bad Sharif" !)

Noose Tightens Around Sharif Clan

NAB court issues arrest warrants for ex-PM's sons Hassan, Hussain

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad on Monday accepting a plea to declare the sons of former prime minister proclaimed offenders issued perpetual arrest warrants for Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz. The court also separated their trial from other members of the Sharif family.
NAB officials had submitted a plea to declare Hassan and Hussain Nawaz proclaimed offenders as they did not appear before the court, despite issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants. The court also ordered to advertise in newspapers that Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz were proclaimed offenders.

Drama At Isloo Airport
Dramatic arrest of Safdar at airport
ISLAMABAD/Lahore - There was high drama at the airport when Maryam Nawaz and her husband Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar arrived in Islamabad from London after Sunday midnight, for appearance in the Accountability Court today [Monday]. A NAB team, comprising more than 15 officials including women officials, arrested Safdar – son-in-law of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif – after a messy situation. As the team arrived at the airport, the Airport Security Force did not allow them to enter the arrivals lounge amid deafening slogans from the PML-N supporters – who had gathered there to receive the couple.

Maryam Nawaz, Captain (Retd) Safdar appear before Accountability Court, Islamabad

Medical certificate of Kulsoom Nawaz was also presented before the court.
The court accepted bail plea of Captain Safdar and ordered his release.

Wonder all this dramabaazi (appearance before court, medical certificate, public shaming etc etc ) will make any final difference in the end vis-a-vis the hold of the Sharif family over the Paki political landscape ! The powers to be have already decided on their fate

Paki Anal-ist Warns The Real GOP To See The Coming "Writing On The Wall"

The take-over
Syed Talat Hussain

We are fast becoming an island under attack from an endless tsunami of fake news, fraudulent analyses, and fraudulent theories. The rising tide has overwhelmed the space for truthful debate and destroyed our collective sense of reality of the present. There is a deluge of delusions drowning voices of dissent and disagreement. The result is an intellectual wasteland where lies sprout at will and facts die before birth.
Consider this. Since gaining independence, our strategic goal linked to our survival has always been that we should avoid being caught in a vice-like situation where our enemies (real and imagined both) are in a position to squeeze us from both sides of the borders
Later in national life, we created for ourselves a nuclear deterrent – the ultimate weapon (capability) of total offence and complete defence. We spread the nuclear shield all over the country to ensure that borders remain stable and we remain secure. We did other things as well. We sat in the American boat of counterterrorism and deployed all our resources on the border with Afghanistan in the name of creating security on the western front.
This is not all. More layers of threats have been added to the traditional threats on both sides of our borders. The border with Iran has become more volatile,...
More critical is the lengthening possibility of the US striking inside our country in addition to the hundreds of drone strikes that they have already carried out here without a single word of apology or remorse ever expressed at any level. Now the entire defence establishment in Washington is swinging towards ‘punitive measures’ against Pakistan in the coming months.
We have wrongly reduced this new global challenge to our security to the Trump Administration’s legendry stupidity, and have deliberately suppressed the context in which Washington is making these threatening plans
This context is not just the zealotry of the Trump Administration: it is set by the G-20 and Brics declarations and now the India-EU cooperation on countering terrorism (read the document to know which way the world is turning.) There is a global groundswell of concern that has started to concentrate on Pakistan which we continue to ignore and paddle-down because the truth of it is too inconvenient to accept. ( That Pakistan has become the epicentre of terrorism !)
At the same time, we continue to struggle and sacrifice precious blood and money against domestic terrorism whose ugly head refuses to disappear. Attacks like the one that killed at least 22 in Jhal Magsi at the Naseerabad Shrine last week rip through official stories of fascinating success and yet the mantra of glory continues to pore out without any let or hindrance. After seventy two years in existence, Pakistan in 2017 is facing dangers on all its borders; it is in the eye of the storm of global manoeuvres and has to deal with a tricky and partially-managed internal threat from myriad terror outfits at home. Is this success of policy or a woeful tale of failure? Is this the basis for claiming crowns or grounds for inquiry? Is this cause for calm and self-assuredness or for alarm and deep concern?
It is regrettable that, instead of looking ourselves in the mirror and acknowledging our weaknesses, a new season of hollow bombast has arrived. Our ‘narrative’ is akin to the dialogue of the deaf with himself. He cannot even hear what he is saying to the world outside much less appreciate that words spoken without facts on the ground are mere sounds without meaning.
Military takeovers destroy democracies as completely as information take-overs destroy critical national faculties like thinking, reflection, debate. They detach collective wisdom from reality and spread the disease of self-deception via fake news and fraudulent theories. Of the two takeovers it is hard to tell which one is worse. We have suffered one type of takeover in the past. We are suffering the other type at present.

Isloo "Tejaris" Do Not Buy The BS About Free Trade Agreement (FTA) With China !

FTA with China continues to hurt Pakistan’s economy: Traders

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders on Monday said FTA with China has inflicted heavy losses on Pakistan’s economy, hence it should be reviewed and balanced immediately. Many industrial units and SMEs have closed as a result of faulty trade deal resulting in massive unemployment, he said. The deal is heavily tilted towards China as Beijing’s share in Pakistan total imports have jumped to 29 percent which must be reduced, said Patron Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Shahid Rasheed Butt.Pakistan is importing electric and electronic goods, machinery, ceramics, plywood, chipboard, bicycles, iron and steel, chemicals, fruits and vegetables and a lot more from the friendly country while exporting a few items due to taxes imposed by Chinese authorities, he added. He said that China’s FTA with East Asian countries has resulted in further loss of exports are Pakistani goods are attracting higher tariffs in China as compared to the goods produced in East Asian nations.

"Showpiece PM" Abbasi Talks Big ( in the True Paki Tradition :D ) To Salvage Paki Echendee. Is Anyone Seriously Believing Him

Days of Pakistan depending on US are over: PM Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: The days of Pakistan depending on the US to meet its military and other requirements are over, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told Arab News. The world should recognize Pakistan’s efforts in fighting the “world’s war” on terror, he said, in his first interview since returning from the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York in September.“If one source dries up, we have no option but to go to another source. ( straight from the horse's mouth. Confirms once again, Pakistan's "randi" status . Sale to the highest bidder  ) It may cost more, it may consume more resources, but we have to fight that war, and that’s what we emphasized to all the people that we met,” Abbasi added.
Relations with Saudi Arabia are “as old as Pakistan is,” said Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Note Interviewer is Saudi based Arab News. Some ego massaging needed !!!
“There are more than 2.5 million Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia,” said Abbasi. “I also worked there, and visited on and off for almost six years in the mid-1980s.”The Kingdom “is like another home to us,” he added.“Every household you find here (in Pakistan) has some connection to Saudi Arabia. People have visited for Hajj or Umrah, or they have relatives working there or doing business there.” Yet in spite of this "connection" Pakis are deported left and right from the Land Of The Two Holy Mosques
Abbasi, 58, is a US-qualified electrical engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the University of California and a masters from George Washington University. He was a pilot for 40 years, and is Pakistan’s first premier to have flown an F-16 aircraft during an air force training exercise. Did not know about this fauji background
Abbasi and his delegation held meetings with several “key players” on the sidelines of the UNGA, including eight heads of state, the UN secretary-general, US Vice President Mike Pence and international investors. The meeting with Pence was “very constructive,” Abbasi said, adding that there was “also a small interaction with President (Donald) Trump at his reception.” Boasting galore. Handshake and a Hello with POTUS glorified as "small interaction"
Pakistan has fought “a very hard and vicious” war on terror, said Abbasi, adding that “200,000 of our troops are deployed. We have 6,500 shaheeds (martyrs) in the army. We have 21,000 of our citizens who’ve been killed, including police personnel. Almost 35,000 people have been seriously injured.” He added: “Nobody has fought a bigger war on terror than we have, with our own resources. Even the most conservative economic estimates of Pakistan’s losses are over $120 billion. ( Bill for $ 1200 Billion ( not $ 120 Billion!) should be sent to Massa  ) It has been a very difficult war, but our army has performed very well.” :((

"FATA Merger" Trial Ballon Floated By Fauj With Support From Imran Khan

Islamabad sees large rallies for early merger of Fata, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PTI Chairman Imran Khan had also directed his party workers, MNAs and MPAs to take part in the protest. During a press conference in Peshawar on Friday, Imran had demanded a Fata-KP merger before the 2018 general elections. Not so fast. Some relevant players like "Maulana Diesel are "deadly against" this plan
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, however, has not joined the protest. Yesterday, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the FATA-KP merger issue was being used by certain elements for political gains. ("certain elements" meaning Imran Khan and PTI said the "shrewd Mullah" !)
Demands for the merger have been gaining momentum since Aug 2016, when a six-member committee headed by then advisor to the prime minister, Sartaj Aziz, had tabled a report before the cabinet that recommended major reforms, including the merger of the areas with KP. The report had generated controversy when two allies of the federal government – JUI-F and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party – opposed the committee report.

"Fun And Games" For Young Peshawaris . In The True Tradition Of Paki Outsourcing , Bill Borne By United Nations Development Programme ( UNDP )

Entrepreneuring Peshawar

Peshawar 2.0, a community organisation which aims to ‘re-build’ Peshawar through ‘creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship’ hosted the second edition So, this is not a one-off , the UNDP is committing itself to an endless bottom less pit of fund giving ) of Startup Weekend Peshawar from September 22 to 24 (the first edition was held in December 2013). The event was supported by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Technology Board (KITB) and the United Nations Development Programme, in addition to other partners.
Day 1: Approximately 80 people, including designers, developers, biotechnologists and business administrators from almost every major university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended the event. In the evening, after everyone settled down, a one-minute pitch was made by 34 participants; 21 ideas were shortlisted and teams were formed to execute each idea.Day 2: The focus was creating businesses based on shortlisted ideas. Seasoned entrepreneurs met with teams and helped them create viable business models. Day 3: Final presentations and winners Teams finalised their prototypes and presentations. After a second round of mentoring, teams were asked to submit their final presentations by 3:00 p.m. Entries were judged based on customer validation (are customers willing to pay for the product or service?), execution and design, and the effectiveness of the business model. After that, the Startup Weekend Peshawar 2017 winners were announced: Sounds more like "fun and games" courtesy UNDP . Could also serve as a "useful device" to keep"Future Jihadis" off the streets and "out of trouble" for the future. Good competition - with foreign funds- for the nearby University of Jihad at Akora Khattak , headed by Maulana Sami-ul- Haq
First prize – ‘Selany Da Pekhawar’
Rs 100,000 were awarded to team Selany( bribing with UNDP money to stay out of trouble  ) for customer validation and execution. Khan said that he had been living in Peshawar all his life and wanted to do something meaningful. “Startup Weekend gave me a platform to stop thinking and start acting. This doesn’t stop here with winning the prize but is actually a start of something great. We will start taking orders for our guided tours in October,” he added.
Second prize – ‘Khpal Dukan’
Khpal Dukan (Pashto for apni dukan) was pitched by Syed Fahad Raza and Faisal Wahab. Khpal Dukan takes the hassle out of grocery shopping by providing a cost-effective home delivery solution
they were awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000. sincerely hope that the "budding entrepreneurs "see the money", the check does not bounce or are not given the usual runaround - " check is in the mail" blah, blah , blah
Third prize – Meat Inspector
Afia Azam, a biotech student and her team discovered that types of meats (mutton, beef, chicken etc) can be determined by identifying the proteins present on their surface. They have invented a hand-held device which can tell consumers whether the meat they are buying is mutton, beef – or something else. The team bagged a cash prize of Rs 25,000. Hope that the "instrument" is also calibrated to identify "donkey meat" masquerading as "gosht"

मज़दूरी का नाम महात्मा गांधी ! But era of talk is passed..USA (and other civilized world) should now join kicking the terrorists..

In another news - Someone in Texas says "U.S. aid amounts to illegal support for Muslim nations." and sues Trump to stop this tamasa with Terroristan..
Texas GOP court candidate sues Trump over foreign aid
Republican candidate for the Texas Supreme Court, Joe Pool Jr. of Dripping Springs, has sued President Donald Trump and administration officials in hopes of cutting off U.S. aid to Pakistan.
Describing the nations as Islamic theocracies, Pool argued that providing tax money in the form of defense and economic aid amounts to improper support for Islam in violation of the First Amendment, which bars government action that establishes or promotes a particular religion.

And although he supports Trump, Pool said he sued the leader of his country and his party because “the Constitution comes first.”

“Ultimately, he’s proposing the defense and establishment of Islam...Does he know he’s doing it? Probably not, but that’s why you name him (in a lawsuit), because you want, if you have to, to beat him over the head with these facts.

“Am I the only person who sees this? Well, maybe, but that doesn’t mean I shut up .."

Pool’s lawsuit is in its early stages, but it faces a difficult path... <snip>

Army Chief says int’l community failed to recognize Pak sacrifices, efforts in war on terror

RAWALPINDI: International community has failed to recognize Pakistan’s efforts and sacrifices in war on terror, said Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

General Bajwa was addressing the passing out parade of 138 GD (P), 84 Engineering, 94 Air Defence, 19 Admin and Special Duties and 3rd Logistics courses held at PAF Academy, Asghar Khan Monday. General Bajwa was the chief guest at the occasion.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Army Chief said, “No country has sacrificed as much as we have and achieved enormous success. The only country which has successfully fought terrorism and is in the process of eradicating the residual through operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. It is our resolve that we will make Pakistan a terror free country, come what may.” Liar, Liar Pants on Fire!

General Bajwa said Pakistan is a peace-loving country and wants to promote peace all around as it is the assurance of our own internal stability. "Lying trough the Teeth" - a Speciality inculcated in the Trainees in Terroristani Defence Academies!

“We stand firmly committed to this cause and will not allow anybody to misinterpret our actions. Our Armed Forces are fully capable of responding to all sorts of internal or external threats or aggression. If the enemy ever resorts to a misadventure, regardless of its size and scale, it will have to pay an unbearable cost.”

Praising Pakistan Air Force efforts, the Army Chief said, “I must mention here that our national struggle against terrorism has largely been successful due to outstanding contribution of PAF. PAF, being a highly organ of the national defence, has played a remarkable role in annihilating and destroying number of terrorists sanctuaries and training camps along Pak-Afghan border.”

On this auspicious occasion, the COAS congratulated all the graduating cadets, especially the position holders and winners of Swords of Honour.

General Bajwa was extremely pleased to see cadets of brotherly countries from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Hashmite Kingdom of Jordan, saying “My special felicitations to the Royal Saudi Air Force and Royal Jordanian Air Force cadets on successful completion of their training at the Academy.”

On his arrival at the Academy, he was received by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.

Where Action Is Lacking Due To Funding, Technical Expertise, Organizing Competency, Security Situation Etc Etc Etc , Well Scripted Words Will Do The Desired Needful

Govt Approves Program to Prepare 1 Million Freelancers in Pakistan

The Board of Directors of Ignite – National Technology Fund (formerly National ICT R&D Fund) has approved ” DigiSkills” initiative to train one million youth with an aim to promote excellence in technology, innovation and work ethic, building a workforce for a future driven by the 4th Industrial Revolution.Decision was made during a board meeting, under the chairman of Mrs. Anusha Rahman, State Minister for IT and Telecom. CEO Ignite Mr. Yusuf Hussain, was also present during the meeting. Official sounding " PR Words" - as above - to "pick up the slack", due to laziness, incomptency, "terrorism" etc etc
The Minister said that our educational institutes are producing huge number of graduates every year. In Islamic philosophy ?, History Of Islam, ?
She revealed that more than 20,000 IT graduates and engineers are being produced annually and it’s time that we prepare our workforce for new technologies in line with fast growing trends of freelancing and entrepreneurship. like the recent event in Peshawar funded by the United Nations !
CEO Ignite Mr. Yusuf Hussain further apprised the Board that after due deliberation and negotiations, LMKT & LUMS have signed contract agreement for their respective National Incubation ( for terrorism !) Center ( highfalutin words to do what  ) at Peshawar and Lahore.
Board also approved the re-bidding of National Incubation Karachi, where the bidders opted out of the plan.
no takers for the "fanciful" idea, so let's therefore "try" once again :D
Federal secretary IT Mr.Rizwan Bashir Khan, Member Telecom Mudasar Hussain, CEO Ignite and other board members were also present in the meeting. :(( Make it "sound official " to give a "positive spin" on the whole idea )

PS: Am 400% sure that this is part of an overall plan ( on paper onlee !) to do an = =
