I dare say this may be the first step on the road to freedom for the Chinese people. There will be a domino effect, not just in Asia but also through domestic repercussions for China.

US signs defence cooperation deal with Maldives amidst China's growing presence in Indian Ocean - PTI
WASHINGTON: The US has signed a framework for defence cooperation with the Maldives to deepen engagement in support of maintaining peace and security in the strategic Indian Ocean, the Pentagon has announced, as the Trump administration looks for strengthening alliances in the Indo-Pacific to counter China's growing presence in the region.

The framework for defence and security relationship was signed in Philadelphia on September 10 between deputy assistant secretary of defense for South and Southeast Asia Reed Werner and Maldivian minister of defence Mariya Didi.

"The framework sets forth both countries' intent to deepen engagement and cooperation in support of maintaining peace and security in the Indian Ocean, and marks an important step forward in the defence partnership,” the Pentagon said.

The Indo-Pacific is a biogeographic region of Earth's seas, comprising the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean, the western and central Pacific Ocean.

During discussions after signing the agreement, Mariya said the framework will strengthen defence and security cooperation between the two countries, Maldivian portal Sun Online reported.

Mariya said that peace and security in the Indo-Pacific and Indian Ocean region is tied to the best interests of both countries.

She stressed the importance of bilateral dialogue and engagement, against a backdrop of growing transnational threats such as piracy, violent extremism, terrorism, and illicit trade, which she said remained relevant, even amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a statement released by the Defence Ministry, the framework outlines a number of bilateral activities, including senior-level dialogues, discussions, engagements, and opportunities in areas such as maritime domain awareness, natural disasters, and humanitarian relief operations, the report said.

Mariya said that the Maldivian government sees the framework as an “important milestone” in defence and security cooperation between the Maldives and the US.

Werner and Didi also discussed US support for the island nation in its response to COVID-19 and areas for future cooperation, and agreed to work toward scheduling the first Defense and Security Dialogue, the Pentagon said.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific that promotes the security and prosperity of all nations in the region, the Pentagon said.

Border dispute: what’s at stake for Russia as it tries to mediate between China and India? - South China Morning Post
While Russia has stayed neutral in the long-running dispute, including during a brief but bloody border war in 1962, its efforts to coordinate talks between Beijing and New Delhi suggest the stakes are high for Moscow too, according to observers.

Artyom Lukin, an associate professor with Russia’s Far Eastern Federal University, noted that Moscow had been pushing the Russia-India-China (RIC) trilateral grouping since the late 1990s, an idea first raised by then foreign minister Yevgeny Primakov as a counterbalance to the US-led alliance.

“Moscow also hopes to play the role of the main diplomatic broker within the RIC, thus raising its influence far beyond what Russia’s economic capabilities would allow,” Lukin said.

But those efforts may be stymied if the rift deepens between the two Asian giants, and the Eurasian security situation could also be affected, said Aleksei Zakharov, a researcher at Russian Academy of Sciences.

He said it could even end up paralysing multilateral groupings such as the SCO and BRICS – the five major emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Russia is the chair of both the SCO and BRICS this year, a key diplomatic agenda for the Kremlin amid growing pressure from the West since its 2014 annexation of Crimea.

Zakharov said the border stand-off with China could push India closer to the United States, an outcome Moscow would not want to see.

“The rift in China-India relations may result in a shift in New Delhi’s policy, in particular its closer engagement with the US and other Indo-Pacific nations, including the further evolution of the Quad,” he said, referring to the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue involving the US, Japan, Australia and India that is widely seen as a US-led alliance to counter China.

“Certainly that’s not something Moscow would like to transpire as it has always appreciated India’s distinctive course in the Indo-Pacific region,” he added.

But observers said Russia would not want to get directly involved in the dispute.

“Russia does not want to get in the middle of a conflict between India and China [as] for Moscow to take sides between an old friend, India, and the new friend, China, is tricky,” said Rajeswari Pillai Rajagopalan, distinguished fellow and head of the Nuclear and Space Policy Initiative at New Delhi think tank the Observer Research Foundation.

“Russia does not want India to get close to the Western countries. So this may be an attempt by Moscow directed at that,” she said.

Rajagopalan added that China, also under mounting international pressure, “does not have good relations with any major powers other than Russia”.

“So the chances of China getting any other country to initiate such discussions are extremely slim.”

If not for nehru clan, peripheries of Bharat would not have been able to play India vs someone else and milk both sides. IN with aircraft carriers but nothing to show for in first 20 years of independence. SL and Nepal being prime example. Assuming that SL doesn't want to play both sides, what's the worst they are looking at if they tell chinese to head out of SL waters for one reason or another and not pay chinese a cent back? One country needs to stand up to chinese debt successfully then all would follow and run away with chinese money. SL seems like to be in the best place to show finger to chinese.

Sridhar sir, what do you think is the impact on us? While this is welcoming from a "dealing with China PoV", is an increased US presence in Maldives really in our interest?

A financially crippled China goes back to its communist roots as CCP begins seizing private properties
Xi Jinping’s China harks back to the Maoist era
Akshay Narangby Akshay Narang, 12 September 2020

As China’s economy runs into trouble, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) General-Secretary Xi Jinping is taking brutal measures to centralise and retain political power. He is harking China back to Mao’s radical-socialist era and now it seems that private property is the latest target of Xi Jinping’s repressive measures. The hospitality sector including hotels and lodges seems to be the target of Communist China’s latest crackdown on private property.
According to an NTD report, private property confiscation has struck China again. Police and urban management staff seized property worth million US dollars in the Pingyao county in Northern China. A notice from the local authorities announced that the confiscation spree was a part of Socialist transformation, which was followed by arbitrary confiscation of properties of more than 200 families.
The notice by local authorities describes private properties with rental space as objects of Socialist transformation, and such properties belonged to the State. Therefore, the Communist State can forcibly take over these properties, seal them and violently dispossess the real owners. Private Chinese businesses and investors are already passing through a bearish phase and the ‘Socialist transformation’ might prove to be the final straw.
With the latest crackdown on private property, Xi Jinping is bringing the People’s Republic of China to its brutal, Communist roots. Private property has always been a contentious issue in the Communist Republic, as Mao Zedong detested the very idea of private ownership, and his perception of dealing with the menace of private property was simple- kill the land-owning bourgeoisie and take over their properties, which were mostly agricultural estates at that time.
Mao Zedong’s regime had identified tens of millions of “rightists” or class-enemies who were then subjected to systematic torture, harassment, abuse, killings and State confiscation of property. Mao was successful in achieving his primary goal- the institution of private property was abolished by 1956. But soon the Communist Republic realised the perils associated with killing rich people and usurping their property, as China descended into destitution and misery. And therefore, private property started becoming more acceptable with former CCP General-Secretary Deng Xiaoping’s opening up of the Chinese economy. In 1999, Xiaoping’s successor Jiang Zemin formally reversed the abolition of private property. A Constitutional Amendment even promised government protection “for the legal interests and rights of the private economy.”

If you want to understand your enemies, you need to read their minds. In other words, what they say about you or your country and its leaders. To fight the Commies you need to read Marx and Engels.Hitler's Mein Kamf clearly showed his warped conclusions about the Jews, etc.,which should've been taken seriously by the appeasers in the Brit. establishment Chamberlain and co. There are vested interests in the west who prefer China to India, who wish to denigrate us because we ARE the largest global democracy. These Chin appeasers have benefited greatly with puppeteers orchestasting their writings and actions, belonging to the tribe of former occupants of a house painted white.

Indian TV channel anchors (Palki Sharma excepted), instead of brainlessly shouting at each other or trying to make ex Defence personnel to say more they should, should get some Chinese folks on line and grill them like Tim Sebastien has done.

India beats China to win crucial election to UN commission on women - PTI
In a significant victory, India got elected as Member of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the principal global body focussed on gender equality and women empowerment, beating China in a hotly-contested election.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a functional commission of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

The 54-member ECOSOC, holding the first plenary meeting of its 2021 session in the General Assembly Hall on Monday, held elections for two seats in the Asia-Pacific States category with Afghanistan, India and China in the fray.

Afghanistan, which is led by Ambassador Adela Raz at the UN, garnered 39 votes and India got 38 votes of the 54 ballots cast.
China, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, got only 27 votes and could not even cross the half-way mark and also failed to get the required majority of 28 votes.

“India wins seat in prestigious #ECOSOC body! India elected Member of Commission on Status of Women #CSW. It's a ringing endorsement of our commitment to promote gender equality and women's empowerment in all our endeavours. We thank member states for their support,” India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador T S Tirumurti tweeted.

India beat China in the hotly-contested election to the prestigious UN body in the year when the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women, that was held in Beijing in 1995, is being commemorated around the world.

It is highly notable and telling that China lost the election to the UN's principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and women empowerment when the silver jubilee anniversary of the landmark Beijing conference on women is being commemorated and of which China takes a lot of ownership on.

US restricts Chinese apparel and tech products, citing forced labor in Xinjiang
New York Times Last Updated: Sep 15, 2020, 09:20 AM IST

WASHINGTON: The Trump administration on Monday announced new restrictions on imports of apparel, hair products and technology goods from certain Chinese companies, saying those entities had used forced labor in the Xinjiang region to make their products.
.
.
.
.
The orders will also restrict hair products made in the Lop County Hair Product Industrial Park, apparel produced by Yili Zhuowan Garment Manufacturing Co. and Baoding LYSZD Trade and Business Co., cotton produced and processed by Xinjiang Junggar Cotton and Linen Co., and computer parts made by Hefei Bitland Information Technology Co.

“These extraordinary human rights violations demand an extraordinary response,” Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, the acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security, said of China’s actions in Xinjiang. “This is modern-day slavery.”
.
.
Hefei Bitland has said on its website that its cooperative partners include major technology companies such as Google, HP, Haier, iFlytek and Lenovo. Yili Zhuowan has produced gloves for French clothing brand Lacoste, according to the Workers Rights Consortium, a nonprofit.
.
.
Xinjiang accounts for about 85% of China’s cotton production, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department, and about one-fifth of cotton production globally.

India needs a 'post CCP' strategy. Whether the CCP survives 6 months or 60, it is important that we are prepared to deal with the fallout.
Since we have not mentioned 'One China' off late, I think its time to take the gloves off and start referring to TAR as 'Occupied Tibet', while the regions significant to our civilizational interests (Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar Lake in particular) need to be added to the current list of occupied Indian territories like AC/Gosthana.

Not having a post CCP strategy, weakens our claims. If Taiwan becomes part of greater china assuming no territorial loss during a CCP breakdown, then we inherit the same baggage. In fact Taiwans claims on our territories are more ridiculous that PRC.

The other reason I believe this is necessary, is that India may end up bearing the brunt of a CCP collapse and whether that be the case or not, we have to make sure that we get our pound of flesh. The CCP will not go without a full scale war with the rest of the world as there is nothing within China that will usurp them - no peoples revolution or economic collapse. The average Han is docile and they do not have any history of mass revolutions. Their history is instead rife with power shifts through deceit and treachery from within their elite classes, leaving aside the ming, ding, ting type dynasties...

Part of the post CCP strategy requires us to sign specific agreements recognizing the Tibetan Government in Exile as legitimate as well as a commitment to safeguard their borders from future Chinese BS. In any eventuality that involves war, in order to legitimize Tibet as an independent country, Lhasa must fall. Its not necessary to occupy 2 million Square km of Tibet to free Tibet - that will happen in due course through diplomacy and treaties.

I really think that our entire China Strategy is built on CCP legitimacy surviving indefinitely - I think that's short sighted. As well as the psyops of having a 'Post CCP' Strategy.

Rather than luxuriate in visions of the dragon becoming a vegetarian from its normal existence as a carnivore, what is needed is for India to push a door that is already open. This would be the formalisation of an alliance mechanism involving the Quadrilateral Alliance.

Very few that used to have chinese and wuhan virus tags have also sort of given up. Only exception seems to be wion. Are any regional papers writing truth about chinese in non English media?

This Modi just clean-up the act is just a cover. No one cares deep inside, but they will put up a show to keep their woke progressives happy.
After all they still deal with the organ harvesting CCP.

Correct. In the quest for cheap factory widgets and high returns, the west has been blind to the brutality and inhumanity of the CCP right from it's inception. What they have done and continue to do would put Pol Pot and Taliban to shame and yet because of the Kissinger partnership the west has turned a blind eye. Thanks to our sold out and copy cat media + the commie stranglehold on Indian education, most Indian's are also blind to what the CCP is. They literally view them as cute pandas instead of the soulless emoticons they are.
A fight against the CCP is a good fight and a Dharmic fight. It's a bigger fight than the border fight. Whoever brings them down would be doing humanity and the earth a big favor - now it may not be us. Once you study what they have done and what they have created, you will understand why the border bludgeoning of our soldiers was nothing for them and the only thing keeping them in check is the counter by the Indian forces. They have no concept of morality, no concept of humanity and 0 empathy. This is not hyperbole but the truth.

So Chinese strategy essentially consists of eating to the point of becoming big and bloated, and then approaching smaller guys with a lowering attitude, puffed up chest, and deepened voice, yelling "you want a piece of this? You WAnt A PIecE OF THIS??" And then when they back off, go building a road here, an island there, a bunker here, and squatting until the next opportunity. This time the intended victim didn't back off ("sure buddy, I'll have a piece whenever you're ready"), and it was seen that all that body mass was blubber, not muscle. Unfortunately it's been working with all the smaller countries on their periphery :| . Now like that dog which caught up with the car, they don't know what to do next. So what do they do, line up and parade their gizmos some more, desperately hoping that by doing so they look even bigger and more threatening, and the victim will "come to his senses."

Please mock these guys all you can on social media - memes, trolling, witticisms, the works. Harsh exposure is what is needed to deflate this bully. And don't feel bad doing it, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people. Their very attitude and modus operandi provides countless opportunities for stinging jibes.

Mods, are we going to have a BENIS like thread, as some poster suggested on the mil forum?

Yes, that's correct. A summary of the internal US-embassy cable of 2009 portrays the then PSC & VP Xi Jinping like this, as gleaned from a 'contact', a similar 'princeling' of the CCP and of the same age as XI and a 'close friend' with Xi for 15 years during the growing up stage:

1. According to a well connected Embassy contact, Politburo Standing Committee Member and Vice President Xi Jinping is "exceptionally ambitious," confident and focused, and has had his "eye on the prize" from early adulthood. Unlike many youth who "made up for lost time by having fun" after the Cultural Revolution, Xi "chose to survive by becoming redder than the red." He joined the Party and began mapping out a career plan that would take him to the top of the system. In our contact's view, Xi is supremely pragmatic and a realist, driven not by ideology but by a combination of ambition and "self-protection." Xi is a true "elitist" at heart, according to our contact, believing that rule by a dedicated and committed Communist Party leadership is the key to enduring social stability and national strength. The most permanent influences shaping Xi's worldview were his "princeling" pedigree and formative years growing up with families of first-generation CCP revolutionaries in Beijing's exclusive residential compounds. Our contact is convinced that Xi has a genuine sense of "entitlement," believing that members of his generation are the "legitimate heirs" to the revolutionary achievements of their parents and therefore "deserve to rule China." {Xi, being the son of a first generation revolutionary, Xi Zhongxun of Yanan province who became very close to Mao and was a Vice Premier to Zhou-en-Lai. Our characterization of Xi as the new Emperor of the CCP Dynasty is accurate}

2. (C) Xi is not corrupt and does not care about money, but could be "corrupted by power," in our contact's view. Xi at one point early in his career was quite taken with Buddhist mysticism, displaying a fascination with (and knowledge of) Buddhist martial arts and mystical powers said to aid health. The contact stated that Xi is very familiar with the West, including the United States, and has a favorable outlook toward the United States. He also understands Taiwan and the Taiwan people from his long tenure as an official in Fujian Province.

The Cultural Revolution was Mao's elimination style of all those whom he feared and the father's of many such princelings were jailed or liquidated. Some of those who survived were later rehabilitated by Deng Xiaoping.

Australia formally names China in foreign interference investigation - South China Morning Post
Australia has formally named China in a court document as the foreign state under investigation by police in the nation’s first foreign interference investigation.

A document lodged in the High Court on September 1 by the Australian government lawyer is the first official acknowledgement that the ongoing investigation into an alleged plot to influence an Australian politician centered on China.

The court filing states the search warrant used by police “expressly identifies the foreign principal as the“Government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC)”.

In the government’s response on September 1, the government lawyer states there is “no doubt that the suspected offences related to the plaintiff’s dealings with the Hon Shaoquett Moselmane MLC, allegedly on behalf of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), from about July 1 2019 to about June 25 2020, to advance the interests and policy goals of the PRC”.

On Wednesday, the Chinese consulate general in Sydney responded angrily to an Australian Broadcasting Corporation report that said one of its officials was also named in the search warrants.

“The accusations that the Consulate General and its official engaged in infiltration activities are totally baseless and nothing but vicious slanders,” the statement said.

Foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told a news briefing on Wednesday that Beijing will not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

Wang said that some in Australia are spreading rumours about China, and that this does not help with the development of bilateral relations.

So, what is left for China to increase tariff for Oz products? Barley, Beef & wine are done already. Iron ore, gas & coal?

Yes, that's correct. A summary of the internal US-embassy cable of 2009 portrays the then PSC & VP Xi Jinping like this, as gleaned from a 'contact', a similar 'princeling' of the CCP and of the same age as XI and a 'close friend' with Xi for 15 years during the growing up stage:

This is one of the best profiles of Xi but it's still not completely accurate. Xi's personal wealth is estimated at 1.5 Billion $ Source Source 2 His salary is alleged to be 22,000 US$ per month, so he's only needed to work for 400,000 years to save this much. His siblings have similarly amassed billions and his daughter is pretty rich too.

As for understanding Taiwan because of living in Fujian, it reminds me of Sarah Palin's statement that she understood Russia because it was so close to Alaska.

Cross posting from Boundary thread. I'll add some Sun Tzutiyapas that can be copy-pasted in a second post, as requested by suryag Garu

A battle on China’s hands

Very important points. I had posted earlier how some Chinese military forums were having a discussion on the potential loss of soldiers' lives ending not one but two family lineages. One of the more outlandish, but quite popular suggestions was to have the sperm of the soldiers frozen and supporting artificial fertilisation in case of their death. This is a major weakness that is ripe to be exploited. Not only do they have no social ability to handle body bags but also having a sufficiently large number of prisoners would be an excellent advantage for us at the stage of war termination.

The major problem in the ongoing propaganda game is that global social media sites are banned in China and their own are difficult to penetrate. Obtaining a gateway into these sites and pushing forth Indian forces’ capability could impact morale of Chinese public and forces, which are currently being fed one-sided inputs. This avenue must be explored and exploited.

Regarding counter-propaganda, I actually sacrificed several accounts on Chinese social media (SM) before deciding to change strategy. We don't really need to do much. Sending a public appeal to HK guys to help bomb their social media would be useful, especially for completely degrading their SM and spreading FUD. HK people are a lot more experienced at Chinese SM wars and naturally their Chinese language ability comes in handy.

But all their news is coming from Indian media, which they then twist suitably as per their desires. Yet even they know the Indian media is more truthful than the People's Daily. I had also posted earlier that the Baba Banaras twitter account was being used as a source of latest insider information on Indian military actions on Chinese SM  Hu Xijin twitter is also one they rely on heavily. Bombing his tweets with FUD replies in Chinese (Own warriors should use deepl instead of google translate for creating Chinese posts) will also spread the message.

I call this the "poisoned sugar" strategy: you don't go into the anthill, you mix poison with sugar, the ants will come to consume it. The term obviously fits Sugarland very well.

We don't just need armchair generals, but also keyboard warriors, I call upon younger readers to get on to this.

I propose a counterpart term to dhoti shivering : choti shivering

During the Qing dynasty, the Hans had to wear a pigtail (correct term queue or cue) to show their subservience. The Hindi word for pigtail being choti, I think choti shivering is an appropriate term for what some Chinese are already doing and what all of them should be doing. They have plenty to choti shiver about, and they should be afraid, very afraid.

Some Sun Tzu counter propaganda suggestions, as requested by suryag Garu. Mods please forgive if this is out of bounds

If using twitter, best to create a Chinese named account such as "Anna Wang 王安旎" or "Rainbow Sun 孙彩红" before you start

是不是A3军囚禁了120名中国士兵,所以我们才推不出去?
Is it true that A3 army are holding 120 Chinese soldiers prisoner and that's why we can't push them out?
A3 or Asan is a racist term for Indians, so this should sound authentic to Chinese ears.

Also nice to twist sources to create scary stories

我的军朋友说我们的23名士兵在印度军队的射击中丧生,但请不要散布 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-54067400
My PLA friend said 23 of our soldiers have died in firing by Indian army but please don't spread this

解放军为什么要掩盖伤亡人数? 寡妇和母亲难道不该在坟墓上放花吗?
Why is the PLA hiding the number of casualties? Don't the widows and mothers deserve to lay flowers on their graves?

我很害怕我的兄弟无法幸免于藏寒。 我们为什么要为这个无用的荒地而战?
I am scared that my brother won't survive the Tibetan cold. Why are we fighting over this useless wasteland?

老虎在北京变胖,苍蝇在西藏死亡。
The tigers get fat in Beijing and the flies die in Tibet.
I am quite proud of this one, it even rhymes

印度军队以国家荣誉来纪念战争中的死者,而我们的军队则将我们的烈士们丢在没有标记的坟墓中。
The Indian army is honouring its war dead with state honours and our army is dumping our martyrs in unmarked graves.

与印度的战争并不容易,他们得到了山姆大叔的完全支持,我们只有小巴
War with India is not easy, they have complete support from the Uncle Sam, we only have the minibu
巴基斯坦 bajisidan is Pakistan and 小巴 xiaoba means little Pak or minibus

汉兵为什么要死以保护落后的藏人?
Why should Han soldiers die to protect backward Tibetans?

These are the ones I could think of. If other rumour or statements sound nice, please post them and I can create suitable Chinese versions. Please forgive the racist tone of some of these, I'm trying to do an authentic role play of the Average Zhou.

Raped, beaten and sold in China: Vietnam's kidnapped young brides
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/cn ... s-11777162
En route to Muong Khuong, the teenager was kidnapped and brought to China, where she was forced to marry a stranger.

“If you are trafficked, of course you will be raped. Probably everyone was raped,” she recalled.

“I became a wife there (in China). At that house, I had to obey everything they said or else I would be beaten. They beat me without fear because I am not Chinese.”

In the scenic rural highlands of northwestern Vietnam, girls like Linh, and as young as 13, have been disappearing from the remote villages at an alarming rate.

https://m.theepochtimes.com/china-desperate-to-stop-south-korean-and-japanese-firms-from-leaving-market-leaked-documents_3499427.html

CCP is desperately trying to stop SK and Japanese companies from leaving.

The key to hitting the Chinis is getting SK, JP and Taiwanese companies in to India. Along with US markets.

Look at this, there is a guy Eleven, who has had a turbulent(if not traumatic) childhood, guy plays all kind of games to get to the top; past record of his performance shows he is cunning but not brave by any means, heck Stalin(the mass murderer not the artist's son) did a lot of daring things before he got his place in the scheme of commie machinery. I dont expect anything beyond chicanery from Eleven. If we are capable enough(for a certain objective - may it be liberating kailash, getting gosthana or having Tibet as an independent nation or whatever) we should not kick the can down the road(in interests of costs) and precipitate the conflict and close it.

BTW, I see that he is the head of all the committees is it a normal thing to have the head of CCP lead all these committees or is it just Eleven doing it?

We should have a thread for psychologically profiling Xitler.

My theory is that he was extensively schooled by his father, with the intention of making him rise to the top. Xi is a product of his father's upbringing, planning, maneuvering, scheming etc. Xi learnt it all from his father and his experiences with the CCP. His father's troubles and lessons from the powers that be, served as the tutorial for Xi's rise. A vengeful duo seeking to hit out against the oppressors (CCP) with a plan to seize ultimate power.

When the cultural revolution happened, because of the hatred of intellectuals, his father made him move to the countryside, making him appear like an Average Zhou or Common Xi to the CCP. While he was building up his Common Xi credentials, Deng Xiaoping happened and CCP changed. The tide had turned. The cultural revolution was no longer fashionable. Property owners, entrepreneurs and meritocracy were back in fashion. So what did the vengeful duo do? Put Xi in Tsinghua university in a fake course (with the help of their CCP friends) and make him an 'engineer'. All he did was take electives on "How Mao's Face Looks Like the A$$". By the end of it, Xi had shopkeeper, princeling and meritocrat credentials to be acceptable to all power blocks within the CCP, hence naturally he floated to the top.

Having got to the top so easily, Xi's desire to grab power is not satiated. He continues with this thirst to rule the world but this time it is not easy, because there is no one to orchestrate his rise to the top. He now seeks a father figure in Putin (look at some of the pictures of them together), but that is surely a false hope.

In fact it is very much possible that Xi is just sailing on the momentum created by his father and is rudderless on his own. Xi Jinping Bipolar Thought is a mix of shopkeeper, princeling and meritocrat ideas put together in an incoherent fashion. There is no intellectual content in it at all to bring together a treatise like the Das Kapital or even Mao's cultural revolution. It is just a dictum of the man in power. Just crap.

The CCP is in an intellectual vaccuum and that is clearly visible from people like Cai Xia running away from the main political school of the CCP and from the country altogether. There is no cohesive philosophy to keep the CCP together.

So he puts himself in every committee (to appear cohesive at the top).
Hence also Xi keeps desperately appealing for loyalty from its cadres, which is rapidly dwindling away.
Hence also the repeated purges in the name of keeping "party discipline".

Situation will get more chaotic and $h1t will hit the fan. What will happen then is anybody's guess.

Sometimes plain unvarnished truth also works. Like this: 西藏要自由! 香港要自由。新疆要自由。内蒙古要自由。广东要自由... (Caution: This'll get you midnight knocks in cheena)

Or this: 人民解放军是党的军队,不是国家的军队。 (People's liberation army is the party's army, not the country's army.)
