I'm not sure if this is a cruel joke or not. Asanine level of open trade was going on with chinese and many others and is still going. However, for some reason GoI had issue with Bhutan that's somehow such a big agriculture powerhouse that it would have imbalanced things.
India allows market access for 5 Bhutanese agri-products

https://www.wionews.com/india-news/indi ... cts-336004
...
Now, Bhutan can market its Areca nuts, Mandarin Oranges, Apples, Potatoes and Ginger in India. Bhutan can access Indian market with immediate effect. The decision in this regard got impetus during the visit of Indian trade minister Piyush Goyal to Bhutan in February this year.
...
Meanwhile, Bhutan's Ministry of Agriculture & Forests has allowed import of Tomato, Onion, and Okra from India under the Plant Quarantine Rules and Regulations of Bhutan, 2018.
...
The decision comes after talks between India's National Plant Protection Organization and Bhutan's Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority (BAFRA) and the Embassy of India, Thimphu. Earlier only two Bhutanese agri-products – asparagus and cardamom – were listed in the Plant Quarantine Order of India which meant -- Bhutan could formally export only these two commodities to India.

India will also be setting up a Plant Quarantine (PQ) centre at Jaigaon, one of the key route of trade route between the 2 countries. An Indian Plant Protection officer has been deployed and will assume office shortly. Till date, Bhutanese agri-traders had to wait for the PQ officer stationed at Panitanki on the India-Nepal border, to visit Jaigaon for clearance of their agri-exports to India.

Quisling was executed. So was William Joyce. Even PG Wodehouse, after he gave a few non-political discourse over radio Berlin, was never welcomed back in the UK and had to settle in the US. Unfortunately, India does not have that tradition. We let our traitors prosper in peace.

One small correction. It was Wodehouse who chose to stay away even though there was no legal impediment to his coming back to England. In fact he was knighted by the British Government in the New Year Honours list of 1975. Ironically he died the same year.

It's always amusing to see how if a packet came from Russia then it's a definite proof for journalists that Russia is involved. However, with all chinese IT prowess and firewall, the same is not concluded even if every single packet came from china. Sacred western journalism or corrupt one?

The report from Google mentioned the attack ended in September 2017 and lasted six months.

Hong Kong protests and Doklam Standoff overlap the timespan to positively state that there's no doubt about the state actor being china.

Google Offers Fresh Details on China-Linked Hacking Group
https://www.bankinfosecurity.com/google ... up-a-15196
....
In addition to the details about the phishing campaigns, the Google report notes that the company is tracking increases in distributed denial-of-service attacks that have been increasing over the last several months. Over the last month, FBI and the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency have also warned about an uptick in DDoS activity that could affect the November election (see: FBI, CISA Warn of DDoS Attacks Targeting November Election).

"While it's less common to see DDoS attacks rather than phishing or hacking campaigns coming from government-backed threat groups, we've seen bigger players increase their capabilities in launching large-scale attacks in recent years," according to the Google TAG report.

As part of the report, Google also disclosed that it fended off a 2.54 TB per second DDoS attack in 2017 that is likely the largest publicly disclosed DDoS attack ever reported. In February, Amazon Web Services reported a 2.3 TB per second DDoS attack
....
The Google report noted that the 2017 DDoS attack appeared to originate with four Chinese internet service providers and the operation behind the attack appeared well funded. The company disclosed the attack now to call attention to increasing DDoS attacks that have occurred over the last several months.

Nandakumarji,
I do not agree. I wrote "he was not welcomed back to Great Britain". Please google "PG Wodehouse and his speeches in Germany" and you will get the picture. He did stay away from England voluntarily and there was perhaps no legal impediment to his return, that is correct. But had he returned back just after the war in 1945, there would have been a great deal of mud slinging at him for those speeches that he made. I am sure he wanted to avoid that. As it is, whenever his life is mentioned in the UK, his speeches under the Nazis come up even today. No one mentions the fun he made of fascists in his books and his comments about Hitler's mustache. He was knighted by the British government, but just one month before his death, thirty years after the war ended. I happened to read an interview on him just at that time, where he said that he felt that all was forgiven by the British people, as they gave him the knighthood and there was a statue of him with Madam Tussaud. He said that he had no more desires left on this account. I will stop as this may be considered OT here. Except that Mr. Wodehouse was the son of a British Magistrate based in Hong Kong! So, there is a Chinese connection here.

Justin Trudeau hits back at China after threat to Canadians in Hong Kong
Prime minister says Canada will ‘stand up loudly’ for human rights after China’s ambassador against welcoming Hong Kong pro-democracy activists
Agence France-Presse, Fri 16 Oct 2020

Canada will continue to defend human rights in China, prime minister Justin Trudeau has pledged, after a top Chinese diplomat warned Ottawa against welcoming Hong Kong pro-democracy activists.
China’s ambassador to Ottawa, Cong Peiwu, warned Canada on Thursday against granting asylum to Hong Kong activists, which he said could have consequences for the “health and security” for the 300,000 Canadians living in the theoretically autonomous Chinese territory.
The Canadian daily The Globe and Mail said Ottawa had recently granted asylum to a Hong Kong couple, which the Canadian government has neither confirmed nor denied. China ambassador makes veiled threat to Hong Kong-based Canadians
“We will stand up loudly and clearly for human rights, all around the world, whether it’s talking about the situation faced by the Uighurs, whether it’s talking about the very concerning situation in Hong Kong, whether it’s calling out China for its coercive diplomacy,” said Trudeau on Friday when asked about the Chinese ambassador’s comments. But he added: “We don’t look to escalate.”
In a sign of the rising tensions between the two countries, Canadian foreign minister Francois-Philippe Champagne had earlier slammed the ambassador’s remarks as “totally unacceptable and disturbing”. For his part, the new leader of the conservative opposition, Erin O’Toole, called on the Chinese diplomat “to fully retract his remarks and issue a public apology”. “Should the Ambassador fail to do so expeditiously, we expect the government to withdraw his credentials,” he said. Relations between China and Canada have been icy since December 2018 when Canada, acting on a US warrant, arrested the chief financial officer of Chinese telecoms giant Huawei.

The tradition which we had, and lost after 1000 years of slavery, is how to be a free people.

Young India is re-learning it at an astonishing (to me) pace. The Abdullahs of today and tomorrow better watch out.

True, Wodehouse was heartbroken at his beloved motherland’s treatment of him for what he naively thought was a very innocent (and what he intended as a gentle mockery of Nazis) series of talks. The knighthood was a formal statement that he was forgiven.

A bit OT but Prince Philip is, in all but name, a Nazi. So was Wallis Simpson, the woman for whom Edward 7 abdicated his throne. Which means Eddie was, too. Also, I believe, Lawrence Durrell the literary “giant” who wrote unreadable soft-porn rubbish. All embraced, more-or-less, by Blighty.

So maybe, UQ is not exactly the role model for us Indians to envy when it comes to treatment of real & imagined traitors.

Maybe UQ is just crap. Maybe India is on its way to developing its own standards for these things, and maybe those should be the standards for UQ, should they ever decide to stop being crap.

Sir ji, I am also one of the people who has left the battlefield and in US. The actual idea came to my mind when I was looking into new initiatives for dung products and was looking at YouTube video on Beejom out of Noida. Even before posting here, I had sent few emails to goshalas about it.

As you suggested, it would definitely help if people on ground physically reach out to producers and suggest honoring Bihar16 and increase recognition of Tibet during auspicious times.

GoI will rollback, the moment there is some pull back from the Chinis. I am really hoping the PLA is adamant. Aussies have been called for Malabar. Hope the Chinis go apesh*** and decide to extend their stay.

I really want the standoff to continue for the next 1 year..

Meanwhile Taiwan rolls out a policy supporting it's companies moving in to India. This is the KEY. Taiwanese, SK & Japanese companies moving from China in to India. NOTHING else matter more that this, in neutering the Chinis.

https://swarajyamag.com/insta/taiwan-unveils-new-policy-aimed-at-setting-up-large-scale-production-bases-in-india

Under the "one-china" nonsense, the Chinis have been successfully deprived us of Taiwanese tech companies opening up in India.

Excellent article on the merger of Sikkim with India... a huge strategic win, against American machinations. Worth saving somewhere, just for the record. Sikkim is the middle finger in Mao's five fingers, and guess what happened to it! Let's give credit to those SDRE Raa agints who made this happen!

Looks like the Chinese worked around the lake forming landslides that buried their CPEC highway in Gilgit-Baltistan by building 10km long tunnels.

Interesting to see the Hindu roots of a lot of the tourist attractions in that area (in previous episodes on that channel).

The valleys will have good tourist potential after reintegration into the Indian Union.

2. Can WE manufacture CLOTH/Polyester FACE masks with FREE TIBET & Tibetan FLAG on the Mask -- Again Sell on Amazon

It would be great if the COST is kept low and MONEY is made on SHEER -- volume of sales !!

With the CURRENT trend World Wide against the CCP chinks -- it WOULD really really send a HUGE message.

Very interesting onlee....i imagine this thing had a healthy diet of absorbing many types of trons in the air during this little visit.

It is an unofficial as well as “surprise” visit because no notifications or announcements were made earlier. The news was revealed only after his aircraft landed in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The intel chief also met with Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

However, what interests us more is, that he reportedly arrived on board a special Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft.

There are many free tibet organizations that have merchandise. One can even find some on etsy or cafe press like platforms. However, what's missing is mainstream nature of it. This festival season was a perfect timing to make it a tradition but opportunity seems to be lost. Even profit oriented joints like patanjali have decided to miss on the opportunity.

I don't know about this org https://www.sftindia.org/ but they should have reached out to many places to start mainstream support for Tibet.

Much anticipation is expected in chattering circles about the " Quad", with Oz finally coming to the party. However, each member of this informal club have differing interests.Oz for example donot want it turned into a formal mil. alliance,as which nation will come to India's aid if war breaks out with the PRC in the Himalayas? Similarly India would think a hundred times before getting involved with a hot war in the Indo- China Sea between the US,Japan vs. the PRC.

What the Quad members must do is to enlarge the group of nations being threatened by the PRC especially in the maritime sphere. Why SoKo wit its powerful UW fleet has been left out is interesting. Ancient enemy Japan the reason? The thete are Vietnam, the Phillippines and Indonesia who also feel threatened.
The IN needs to adopt a forward posture in the ICS, which requires more bases in the region.;In the ultimate analysis, pro- Indian interests must drive our foreign policy,no shortcut by sticking to the coat tails of any uncle.

It is an unofficial as well as “surprise” visit because no notifications or announcements were made earlier. The news was revealed only after his aircraft landed in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The intel chief also met with Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

However, what interests us more is, that he reportedly arrived on board a special Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft.

why are we exposing our covert intelligence assets to such close chinese scrutiny.

Japan was the scourge of Asia in WW2,met its just desserts at Hiro and Naga. It's now 75 years on and many Asian states prefer standing with Japan than China after it displayed its naked ambition in seizing the atolls in the ICS by force and turning them into huge mil. bases.

How Indian Soldiers ‘Out-Smarted’ Chinese PLA Troops & Deployed Their T-72 Ajeya Tanks Over Key Heights?
Penned By Ayush Jain. Edited By Syed Shafiq, October 25, 2020

The Indian Army has reportedly deployed its upgraded T-72 Combat Improved Ajeya MBTs (Main Battle Tanks) to some of the new heights captured during the ongoing standoff in Ladakh. The move is expected to provide significant firepower to the Indian troops stationed at treacherous heights.
According to a new report by prominent Indian defence journalist Nitin Gokhale, Indian Army moved its tanks to some of the newly captured heights in Eastern Ladakh, which it seized while Chinese PLA troops were heading towards the same heights on the intervening nights of 29th and 30th August.
The advance was also aided by India’s ‘Special Frontier Force’, which became the highlight of the clash.
“In a lightning move, well-poised and fit Indian troops raced to the top to occupy tactically important peaks such as Magar Hill, Gurung Hill, Rezang La, Rechin La and Mukhpari, outmanoeuvring the Chinese on the southern bank of Pangong Tso,” Gokhale explains.
“The next day, after a quick clearance from Delhi, Indian Army’s Northern Command also deployed T-72 tanks on some of the above-mentioned peaks, once again catching the Chinese unawares. Of course, in the next few days, the PLA also moved tanks close to Indian positions in this sector,” he adds.
This new deployment also indicated the change in the tactics of the Indian Armed Forces, including the whole structure of support staff and the mountain-warfare specialised ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police). The PLA never expected this from the Indian Government, which was reportedly approved by PM Modi himself.
This dramatic shift towards an aggressive stance halted the Chinese withdrawal in its tracks, aided by air dominance provided by the Indian Air Force.
While the Chinese deployed their fighter jets into the region, the IAF too mirrored by carrying out sorties by its mighty Su-30MKI flankers, the highly upgraded MiG-29UPG aircraft, Mirage-2000 variants, and even the familiarisation sorties of the new Rafales.
The Navy also sent its MiG-29K fighters and P-8I Neptune reconnaissance planes, and the rotorcraft included new AH-64E Guardian, Light Combat helicopter, the Rudra, and the ALH Dhruv from the IAF and Army.

There is something lost in translation. What do they mean that the tanks are positioned on the peaks?

^^This was done to show that not only Indian dudes but also Indian tanks can assume ancient yogic positions on pointy peaks. It has bewildered the kungfu and sanda experts on the other side, who have now assumed exotic positions in which their face and rear end are in intimate contact.

China Hunts For Castor Seeds In Indian Market; Domestic Crushers Want Exports Discouraged
https://swarajyamag.com/business/china- ... iscouraged
Following trade intelligence inputs of Chinese inquiries into the purchase of castor seeds from India, the Solvent Extraction Industry has raised concerns over the development and has asked the Union government to take necessary steps to protect Indian interests.

“We understand that China is targeting purchase of large quantities of castor seed from India. Traditionally, China buys castor oil and derivatives from India, but this new-found interest in castor seeds has huge ramifications for our domestic industry as we may be starved of raw material,” said Atul Chaturvedi, President, Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEAI), in a letter to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.

The SEAI concerns rise from the fact that India accounts for nearly 90 per cent of castor oil supplies in the global market.

India exports about 5.5 lakh tonnes of castor oil annually, valued at Rs 6,000 crore, and China buys nearly 2.5 lakh tonnes of it.

^^ on the contrary, wait a year, allow the chinks to spend some money on infra for crushing castor seeds, and then ban the export. thieves have to be punished, not discouraged.

Some of us are not corrupt, not because we want to be but because we do not have the opportunity to be corrupt.

Or that all good ones have been killed off in last 1000+ years of invasions and are still being picked and killed. The described population is small percentage but controls the country. Without seeing the dynamic power changes in action, it's hard to make a decision about millions of other Indians.

No sir, I still feel deep down, all of us are corrupt. My father was a career beauracrat and he said a small fish cannot swim against the river tide. What do you think will be the first question that we will ask when we clear ias and get posted? What is the percentage.

What's with this navel-gazing? How does that help "neutering" the Chinese?
