The rest of the US doesn’t care about the hearings and the Donkeystanis must play to their base. After all said and done, this will help re-elect Trump come November.A_Gupta wrote:No, just that even with instant Presidential parsons available, Bolton considered the Trump-Giuliani-etc., Ukraine play to be too risky. The real fun will come with a trial in the senate which will subpoena both Bidens and maybe Ombaba too for the mess in Ukraine.

She is not leaving the party and is not dropping out. If she ran as an independent, then she would damage Trump as the Donkeystanis will not vote for her otherwise.UlanBatori wrote:So if donkestan expels TG, does she join the haathistan or be independent?

FBI 'low level' folks might procure a dead Russian hooker from Steele and who is paid by DNC and drop the body in the Hudson.

{yaaaaaawwwwn}. Along with the VP choice, party nominees should also elect their Impeachment Defenders to qualify for POTUS race.a review of her voting record in the Senate from President Barack Obama's time in office shows that in 2014, she herself voted in favor of appointing "wealthy donors" to multiple ambassadorships.
She voted for at least three out of more than 30 of Obama's ambassador nominees, who were also his bundlers, according to an ABC News analysis of voting and campaign finance records. Bundlers are top campaign fundraisers who reach the max of their own donations, and raise large amounts for campaigns by mining their networks of friends and acquaintances to donate as well.
Others were confirmed by voice vote, which would mean that Warren did not raise an objection on the Senate floor -- despite her vocal objections to such nominations now.

They’ve omitted me from their graphics 12+ times, called me John Yang on air, and given me a fraction of the speaking time over 2 debates despite my polling higher than other candidates on stage. At some point you have to call it.

Impeachment proceedings may be really swinging the vote of the uncommitted ( I mean to asylums). If I were a voter, would I be looking at the present Blue COTUS Circus and say:
Hard to imagine anyone looking at DTji with SYMPATHY, but the Democrats are truly achieving the impossible in that respect.Oh, wow! They are REALLY doing what I elected them to do! Living up to their campaign promises to solve the problems of America!

And DTji is not backing down even against the 5-gon.
Guess how this will play.... note that the SEAL was **ACQUITTED*** of murder and attempted murder by a court-martial, but they are still going after him, which does raise a huge question of fair play. Maybe send the Navy Secretary and a raft of Admiraljis out to Eyeraq?
For those who do not know: Both the USN and the USAF have a **HUGE** problem: PEACE. Not enough senior officers getting shaheed in combat, and not enough planes and ships being procured, to have more Xth Air Fauj, Carrier Groups and Fleets to command. So things are getting pretty tight in the 5-gon building, not enough offices with windows and all sitting around with knives sharpened to reduce the competition.
IOW, ***ANY***** gossip/perceived flaw/SNAFU is enough to end the career of senior jarnails of the USAF and USN, unlike the USA and Marines which at least have low-ranks risking their lives in action.
So I predict that this open-war-with-CinC SNAFU is enough to put paid to an entire flock of Admirals and Rear Admirals and Vice Admirals. Plus all the underlings whom they biss on in their rage.
Meanwhile Orangutan positively acquires a halo in the eyes of the Faithful.

What has happened is that the Admiralty's intention maybe to look very gracious by sort-of pardoning the officer and looking very fair, has been totally upended by the C-in-C. Now they are left looking like idiots in the history books. Might as well resign.Gallagher's lawyer, Timothy Parlatore, has said that the Navy's decision to order the review of Gallagher's status was part of an effort to push back against Trump's earlier decision to restore the SEAL's rank. Parlatore has slammed the Navy's leadership, particularly Green who had ordered the review board.
Green ordering the review "crossed a very dangerous line, having our uniformed flag officers being directly defiant of our commander in chief," Parlatore told CNN Thursday.

New Poll suggests Deomcrats Impeachment push could alienate the key voters
New Poll suggests Deomcrats Impeachment push could alienate the key voters
Alas, for the Democrats, the promising numbers of late October and early November rapidly dissipated, and polling numbers have reverted to a level more consistent with long-term opinions on President Trump. In the latest Politico/Morning Consult poll, released on November 19, Independents opposed impeachment and removal from office 46% to 39%, a number close to the rolling averages of the last few weeks. It is notable that the poll was fielded after the first public impeachment hearings. Even the compelling testimony of witnesses like Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, failed to move the needle on public opinion. That doesn’t mean further hearings won’t energize greater opposition to Trump, but it’s a little hard to imagine more effective testimony than that offered by Yovanovitch and some of her Foreign Service colleagues.
To understand the relative lack of enthusiasm among Independents for impeachment, I took a close look at data from the most recent Politico/Morning Consult tracking poll, a poll in which the Hive had the opportunity to propose questions focused on Independents and their views.
Don't tell any Democrat that. Then you are a Trumpie"Fundamentally, most Independents want Congress to focus on the issues that impact their lives. They have not been convinced that curtailing the bad acts of Donald Trump would have any tangible effect.
The second factor is the view among Independents that impeachment reflects the agenda of the political establishment and the media. Regardless of what they think about Trump’s behavior, Independents see impeachment as a continuation of the partisan bickering and media excess that began even before his inauguration. By massive margins, Independents say that the impeachment issue is “more important to politicians than it is to me” (62% to 22%) and “more important to the media than it is to me” (61% to 23%). It is hard to read this as anything but a warning to the Democratic leadership and candidates: Stop talking about issues that matter to you, not to me.
Re: Understanding the US - Again
The House has passed some 275 bills, all held up in the Republican Senate. Many are in the category of “"Fundamentally, most Independents want Congress to focus on the issues that impact their lives.”. Fundamentally most Americans are low-information. Which is why Trump prevails.
Further:
Democrats Know Trump Won’t Be Removed. They’re Still Amped About Impeachment.
They see the process as good for American democracy—and for their party’s chances in 2020

What’s more, the impeachment process carries a real risk for Democrats: Just as it appears to be exciting their own base ahead of the 2020 primary season, the process may also be exciting Trump’s.
Most of the Democratic voters who gathered on the Hill to watch history in the making these past two weeks said that they were keenly aware of this possibility. Still, they said, they believe that the impeachment inquiry was a risk worth taking.
“I’m reassured,” said Bannon Kulsrethsiri, “that [democracy] in this country is not completely kaput.”

Can't comment on Americans, but can on Mongolians. I am also "low-information" because I scan CNN and ABC every din. A totally honest statement: I cannot name one solitary Resolution or Bill that has been passed by this House, not dealing with attacking the President. Of course I must be far stupider and less sophisticated than the average American voter. Boonies/ hillbillies, they call us.vijayk+A_Gupta wrote:The House has passed some 275 bills, all held up in the Republican Senate.

The cost (to the user) of prescription drugs is shooting up by 50 to 100% starting January 1, 2020. WHY? Is there 50% inflation? Or collusion by COTUS and Big Pharma/Big Insurance to brutally rip off the public, with absolutely no controls on greed?
Auto insurance rates have skyrocketed. Why? What is COTUS doing about it?
The Education System is broken. The only change I have seen due to legislation is that now CAMPUS CARRY is permitted. All hail to Freedom. Not booze. GUNS. Inside the classroom. Maybe marijuana as well. Congratulations to the COTUS (and in this case, State Houses).
The Immigration system is totally broken. OK, that may not affect the VOTER, but only the voter's relatives. Friends. Employees. Co-workers. Competitiveness of their products. Survival of their employer companies. Their paychecks. Ability to put food on the table. Oh! So Immigration DOES matter to the voter!
The borders are leaking worse than an armed invasion. One million coming in per year to the bottom tier of society at best, probably including veteran or 2-b violent criminals. May show up at the VOTER's door. Or in the streets where the VOTER's children must walk.
I could go on... but I cannot name ONE Bill passed by this House. I don't even hear about the Senate, they could all be lying under tables in assorted DC bars for all I know. But then what do I know?
Re: Understanding the US - Again
All insurance rates in general have gone up. Reminds me of a PBS episode around 2012 where one analyst was going on and on about by 2020 people would be paying lot more for insurances in general due to certain decisions being made by the politicians while public is sleeping.

So on side we have DT and the right wing racists and on the other the anarchists-socialist-islamists. Both sides wanting to screw its own peoples and constantly interfere in the affairs of other countries of the world. The US is a sham democracy and survives due to the world using the USD as the currency for energy and trade.

It would be interesting to see what Indian origin people like Neera Tanden's opinion is on India? I'm willing to bet dollars-to-donuts that she's an IINO (as Ramanagaru stated) and falls in line with with Warren-Sanders-Ro-Jaypal-Omar. What little I do know is that she and her brother were raised by her mother after their parents divorced. She seems to have been smart enough to get into an Ivy League law school and that has been her ticket to the halls of power in Washington.
Unlike Israeli or Jewish origin people in government, Indian origin people have been a mixed bag with some great disappointments.

Sorry Ulan Barolo, but the House has passed, e.g., 9 bills for improving veteran care. Now you can interpret these as “attacking Trump” — if he MAGAed, how can veteran care need improvement? Or accept one’s limitations.

I have to apologize to Guptaji. He does absolutely awesome, quantitative, accurate research. I was going to say "objective" but sorry I don't want to lie.
And the only truth I have stated is probably that I am clueless.
Tired of giving sidestepping answers to such wonderfully reasoned and information-filled posts. Used to be an opening batsman in the days b4 helmets and face-guards, and my main job was to avoid getting my bat on the outswingers and bouncers. Hardly ever scored any runs except by accident (inside edge missed stumps and keeper..). Just let the bowlers sweat, fume and get the shine off the ball.
Whew! A big load off my conscience.

This whole 'Jewish presidential candidate' is moot. Non-leftist whitey will never vote for a jew as their president just like they will never vote a Hindu Tulsi for a president even though many may agree with her views. When it comes to Tulsi, even a "progressive leftist" wont vote her unless she is Hindu in name only and displays hatred for Hindu culture and India.UlanBatori wrote:What REALLY matters in US politics

Ronyji: Long ago, there was a joke making the rounds in my (fascist right-wing military-industrial complex) circles:
The Rev. Jesse Jackson (a recent POTUS candidate then, and IMO someone who made really memorable speeches) went to The Lawd and said:

So just a Billionaire gora Y is not a problem. Will sweep Noo Yoik, NJ, CA and FL. The massive media support, far beyond what he will simply buy or order, will be unprecedented.

I think only Butt-e-gig has any MIL credentials, of the rest of the bunch. The times have changed, but that credential is worth many percentage points. Unless the Deep State manages to demolish/discredit that. I am sure they are working on it, so she would be smart to quite the National Guard ASAP.
