From the net
Christine Fair - yes, that Christine Fair, the "Southasia scholar" at Georgetown University in Washington, DC - has just tweeted out the following on Twitter, earning an account ban:

Georgetown professor says white GOP senators ‘deserve miserable deaths’ after Kavanaugh hearing

She's referring to conservative US Supreme Court nominee Bret Kavanaugh, who is being subjected to a new version of L'Affaire Dreyfuss, thanks to cut-throat partisan political fighting.

During the Obama presidency, Democrats controlling the Senate were so eager to get their own judges onto the Supreme Court that they dropped the threshold of Senate approval from two-thirds down to 51%. The Democrats merrily disregarded warnings that the tables could be turned on them if the Republicans achieved a majority in the Senate, instead stubbornly choosing to push the new 51% threshold to get both of their nominees onto the court.

Now, with Republicans having that thin majority in the Senate, and Trump nominating the conservative Judge Kavanaugh for Supreme Court bench, the Democrats are thrashing, flailing and snarling to keep from being hoisted by their own petard - hysterically making last-minute accusations of Kavanaugh being a rapist, then a gang-rapist, alcoholic, etc, etc - basically making any inflammatory, incendiary charges to derail his nomination, while inflaming gender issues in the process.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham was so appalled by the Democrat inquisition against the judge, that he lashed out during the hearings:

Lindsey Graham erupts: Kavanaugh hearing an unethical sham

By Saturday BK will be confirmed. One wonders if Dems overplayed this drama and united all conservatives behind golden monkey and thereby damaged their chances in the midterm. The fight to find the leftist bottom is going on very hard in the Dems. Almost every dem and his/her aunt are not calling for socialism and some even using that word openly/

But some news reports are saying that some Republican senators are going to jump ship? Is there any democrat senator likely to vote for BK?

habal wrote:Is US the new empire or does the empire control US

The real Empire has been in operation since 1649. The nominal Anglo Empire, actually controlled by a “power elite” of financial interests like the Rothschilds, operated through Britain until the 20th Century. They lost partial control of the US in 1783, but fought hard (financially) to re-establish control of the US. After 130 years, they finally regained a foothold with the Federal Reserve and consolidated that control during the next 50 years, finally gaining absolute control by 1963.

Meanwhile, the power of Britain as the bully boy under their control had been dissipated through their endless series of wars. The US, under tighter and tighter control through the first half of the 20th Century, became the co-bully boy with Britain during WW II, and replaced it entirely in 1956. However, the power elite still financially controls both the British Commonwealth and the US, and they sometimes indirectly influence US policy through British puppets like Theresa May (White Helmets, Skripals, the Steele dossier etc.)

In the 1830-40s, the power elite decided that a pro-British puppet state in historic Palestine would be useful to their goals in SW Asia, and they started a project to “restore” Jewish power in Palestine. This was a very long term project, as we know, taking more than a century.

It’s important for us to understand that this Empire, this power elite, is not a monolithic, absolute dictatorship with consistent policies. There are factions and power struggles within the power elite, but for the most part they are guided by shared interests, the most important being the preservation and expansion of their own collective power. As in any hierarchy, there are constantly shifts in relative power. Subordinates will always attempt to increase their own power, sometimes becoming a dominant force. Israel is such a case. However, if and when a vassal’s reckless actions begin to threaten the aggregate power of the rest of the elite, other factions will attempt to check its power. If they are able to, the vassal will be weakened or destroyed and the Empire and its power elite will endure. If unable, the parasitic vassal may cause the collapse of the Empire as a whole, perhaps even destroying the power elite itself.
Habal,

it's a very interesting topic and perhaps we should discuss it much further in an appropriate thread

But keeping in line with the discussion of this thread I would like to know your opinion regarding Obama removal of Iran sanctions

As I understand Obama and Clinton are part of deep state along with Saud family

In spite of close Association with Saudi Arabia, why would a obama remove Iran sanctions

payment of bribe by Iran to certain high-powered politicians for removal of sanctions does not seem like adequate reason especially when Saudi Arabia can outmatch any such bid

for those who want a concise and very informative account of the US social, economic, cultural situation in the 1800s when it was in china growth phase in all dimensions, you can download pdf off the web and read "battle cry of freedom" by james mcpherson which is the definitive 1 volume work on the civil war but is much more, a layered masterpiece account of the country as it evolved into a superpower.

it gives a good glimpse into how a resource rich, primarily farming and cottage industry nation , rapidly over a few quick decades became the worlds largest industrial and machine tools power, wrote the book on mass scale production (to the chagrin of their former british masters esp in weapons making), gained nearly 80% literacy and the east coast became a hive of finance and industrial innovation. all the while dealing with waves of immigration, social discords, protestant vs catholic hate, indian wars, the slave problem, westward expansion and fights with spain and mexico.

one gets the sense of this continent country as a vast "engine" always in ferment, always looking for a win whatever it takes.

murica is not a status-quo kind of placid beast. the psyche of its establishment has mostly tended to be aggressive and risk taking.

more people died in the civil war than in all of murica's other 100 wars combined incl ww1 and ww2. sharpsburg, shiloh, antietam, gettysburg....blood soaked signposts on the road to be P1. at all levels from junior officer to generals, the same people who had fought side by side in american-mexican war spilt each others blood in the civil war a decade later.

gyan - rehabilitating iran into the world order was primarily to offset the Saudi/uae/Qatari block who were being nice on the face but supporting jehad in the background. it had the secondary benefit of weaning iran away from Russia and china
these are the oldest geopolitical games in history

Lalmohan, I agree with this proposition but it has only one problem
Your proposition is based on the assumption that Saud family did not control Obama
So, in fact Obama was acting independently to protect American interest even at the cost of its relations with saud family
But all the rumours seem to indicate that Obama was in bed with oil lobby which is primarily Saud family

Good find Singha Saar. I think they are close to having another civil war right now. The psyche is given to extremes and with guns so easily available, the wild West doesn't seem too far away. Either that or they're ready to start another external war.

This documentary on opioid crisis (and numbers) will make head spin. But as always, it is never a fault of pharma company. Not sure if post financial crisis made the matters worse..but no one talking about the hooman rights of these poor addicts.

60 Minutes' 3-part opioid investigation
...records show that in 2010, Schultz prescribed one patient more than 23,000 oxycodone pills in an eight-month period — more than 100 pills a day to a single person. During one 16-month period, his in-office pharmacy dispensed 800,000 opioid pills.

As for the manufacturers, two-thirds of all the oxycodone in Florida came from just one company: Mallinckrodt. Five hundred million of their oxycodone pills were distributed in Florida between 2008 and 2012...

HaathiBiBi Susan Collins, talking like a slow-playing tape machine, took 43 minutes to get to her conclusion that she was going to vote yes on BK, and the DonkeyWithConscience from WVA also toppled over. So now BK has 51 votes without VPPence's tie-breaker. Collins certainly laid it out in detail, trashing Feinstein in the process in a classic re-play of
But Brutus Eej An Honorable and Dignitiable Mard
Really stuck the knife into her, seems like. The donkey spin is that The Letter was in Feinstein's hands since July. Then someone told papparazzi that Such A Letter Exists. Then someone else leaked C.B. Ford's name, so papparazzi bothered C.B. Ford. So she said that she had sent the letter to Washington Post. So then everybody had the letter.

Convoluted spin, but still comes down to the fact that Feinstein is nailed.

UBCN prediction was initially that, and moved to 55-45, but that was before the show got REALLY dirty. I too feel that it will become 55-45, because the donkeys may see that there is a rising backlash. You don't call the FBI a coverup, just to move the goalposts after u r shown up, and escape consequences, even if u r Trump.

And if C. B. Ford went to our Indian American senator Kamala Harris of CA, then the matter would have been investigated back in July very discretely. If BK were actually guilty, his nomination would have been withdrawn. The Donkeys are indeed gaadhaa urban naxals. I would go so far as to say C. B. Ford is a racist for not approaching Kamalaji who is an experienced prosecutor and judge.

100% accurate. The "Liberals" are the worst racists of all. OTOH, you raise an excellent point. Had she sent the letter to KH, KH having been raised eating rice, WOULD have investigated. Suspected that it was a trap, and gone after the false complainer with all the weight of the Senator and her Pleet-Bhalala type experience. WHICH IS WHY the the Lie-Detector-Expert did not choose that route, but went to the dimwit commie Dianne-bibi instead. IOW, this is the worst exposure that the donkeys have EVER suffered, even counting the Ovary Office antics. Let's see come November 4... the wisdom of the old adage:

Patience, patience. As Millah Khan the co-terrorist said to M. Al lory the chief terrorist in "Fauj 10 phrom Dera Navarone Khan":
Give it time. Let Nature take her course.
The guy is walking dead in any academic job. And hain, Nature IS doing her jaab?
Langbert got more than taste of blowback.
Students and other observers are calling for Langbert’s termination, online and on campus, and they’ve organized a protest against him set for later today at the college.

That took like 24 hours to come out. Clearly no pressure of homework assignment, tests, Career Fair etc at this college. It's Fast Response for Lynchmob Organization 401.
Not just that, the College Prez is walking dead if s(he) does not "terminate" him. The Prez of the Board of Trustees is walking dead if s(he) does not terminate the Prez if s(he) does not "terminate" him. Humor/satire is verboten in todin's "academic" environment.
And..
The college referred a request for comment to an all-campus memo from Anne Lopes, provost, which says that an unnamed faculty member “blogged a gender-biased and homophobic post that advocates sexual assault.”
Lopes said the post was “offensive, obviously abhorrent and contravening the fundamental values and practices of our community.” Yet the First Amendment “protects even speech that many experience as offensive,” she said.
The college hopes that students and others “will respond to abhorrent speech with persuasion and join in the conversation” via a reflection submission link, Lopes said. Details about a related forum are forthcoming.
Langbert denied that his post was homophobic or advocated assault. But he said that he appreciated the implication that his speech was protected.
Asked if he had faith that the college would continue to hold his speech as protected, Langbert said he’d already retained a lawyer. “I really don’t know what they’ll do.”
But these gentle ppl's co-gentle people at Emory U., U. Chicago etc had absolutely no problem with Paul "Phaullus" Courtright and Wendy "Pondy" Doniger's writings calling Shri Ganesa the baby's linking for sweets to be a
clear indication of desire for oral sex

Patience is all fine but the strong language you use against left (and i am no supporter of left and i like trump ) such as "lynch mob" etc doesn't seem to be actually true. The action against Christine Fair was swift. Despite the fact her tweet is just over the top ridiculous that it really is laughable. But Langbert;s was pretty dangerous insuniation - how can any male with a daughter or sister be comfortable if he is holding any sort of authority over them (which his position of associate profession do gives). Despite your strong language (sent to siberia) there is nothing happening. Nothing happened to kavanaugh as well despite the seriousness of allegations well before he was actually appointed but Clinton (despite consensual) was almost impeached.

Either way its not my goat but just that the characterization does not seem to be accurate.

The reason left loves ISIS and Islamists is because both of them think alike. Just because of the legal consequences they don't murder opponents unlike in Kerala and WB.

Kiran, The Lynch Mob's characteristic is that they arrogate all duties of the prosecutor, defense, judge, jury, jailer and executioner to themselves, assume that they know more than anyone else, and jump to conclusions, wrong more than right. These fit the Left perfectly. And yes, the lynch mobs of the USA, including the KKK etc, were the roots of the Democrat Party. After the Civil War, these were the ones who opposed Lincoln's Republicans, and ruled the South as soon as the Northern Armies withdrew/ stepped down from the military government phase (and stopped hanging the KKK perps).

John Kennedy was an aberration. Which is why he was rubbed out. There was a difference between the Northern Democrats (mostly labor unions) and the Southern Democrats (more KKK). Ultimately many of the Southern Democrats decided that they were more Republican (uber-Capitalist, against social programs, against (free) minorities). But the rest of the Democrats joined with the California and New York commies to form the New Democrat Party. They have brought a fine merging of the Lynch Mob with the Communist/Naxal mob. Just a precise, factually based descriptor.

Interesting, your comparison of Clinton, who denied using the Ovary Office for what was termed "pizza delivery" until Ms. Tripp revealed the MonicaL tapes (and was sent to jail by the Democrat Regime for revealing sexual abuse by powerful people!!!). You say be was "almost impeached" IOW, nothing at all happened to him, he served 2 terms as POTUS and retired to run one of the biggest multinational scams in the world. Despite CLEAR PROOF of gross misconduct.

Compared to Judge Kavanaugh who was cleared by the FBI. 7 times. Zero evidence of wrongdoing, zero CONCERNS.

Nice going, the sense of fair play exhibited in the comparison.... isn't that the same mentality exhibited by a lynch mob?

O, so I c that B(ee)rett "Coat-Hanger" Kavanaugh has been sworn in. :rotfl: Roe v. Wade goes out, Pre-existing condition coverage in BOcare goes out... blanket immunity from impeachment for (Republican) POTUSes... Maybe approval for Martial Law in California and Illinois and New York. Mass arrests and Cavity Searches of Democrat candidates and their lawyers.

And right on cue, there is an abortion case heading for the SCOTUS.

Do you have any actual instances ? Ms Ford asked for FBI investigation and testified under oath - she, by all means a successful woman, was willing to risk prison for her words. And she absolutely had no power to be jury, judge or executions here.

After the Civil War, these were the ones who opposed Lincoln's Republicans, and ruled the South as soon as the Northern Armies withdrew/ stepped down from the military government phase (and stopped hanging the KKK perps).
It doesnt matter the hoary past of democrats or republicans. Right wing left wing are different from democrat/republican whatever the lip service maybe. Republicans in recent past have always increased govt deficits while just cutting expenses a little bit here and there. And democrats especially Clinton was known to be very rough on black crime. They are just political parties and do what fetches them votes.

But currently left wing politics are clearly about women and racial minorities issue. And alt-right is all about white solidarity.
Clubbing Democrats - many of them uber capitalists owning and running businesses and whose commitment to fight against soviets cannot be doubted- with commies is quiet a stretch in my opinion.

This is where I find your moral compass very strange. There was never an accusation of sexual abuse against Clinton. Monica never claimed that. It was clearly consensual relationship between two adults and by most current moral standards a victimless crime (despite presence of rarely enforced adultery laws) But nevertheless Clinton was severely prosecuted. WHat do you mean nothing happened to him ? He was held in contempt of court, fined 90,000 and had his license to practice law suspended for "misleading testimony".

Compared to that Kavanugh accusation were far more serious - a sexual assualt and attempted rape. And what do you mean cleared by FBI ? the statue of limitation against Kavanagh long expired. FBI didnt do legal investigation it conducted back ground verification of sorts within four days. And even before FBI gave any report the repubs were pretty clear they will back him irrespective of the report.

I think Clinton had affairs with numerous women from position of power. There is also grapevine rumour that he gifted WTO membership to China due to affair with some Ms Lin.

Maybe approval for Martial Law in California and Illinois and New York. Mass arrests and Cavity Searches of Democrat candidates and their lawyers.

And right on cue, there is an abortion case heading for the SCOTUS.
so, doing the SCOTUS math, does this mean that uncle trump cannot now be impeached??
In 1998, Kavanaugh wrote extensively on the matter of impeaching a president, writing that independent counsel investigations can take "too long," easily become "politicized," and investigations can go beyond their original scope. He also seemed unconvinced that a president can even be indicted while in office.

"Whether the Constitution allows indictment of a sitting President is debatable," he said.

Over a decade later, Kavanaugh reiterated this belief in the Minnesota Law Review saying, "a serious constitutional question exists regarding whether a President can be criminally indicted and tried while in office."

Trump has reversed every single failed economic policy of the Obama era – Here’s what must happen next

By Kayleigh McEnany | Fox News

Unemployment rate falls to 3.7 percent

Friday was a great day for America’s economy and the American people under the leadership of President Trump, as the Labor Department reported our nation’s unemployment rate fell to just 3.7 percent – the lowest level since 1969.

Millions of us have never seen an unemployment this low in our entire lives.

There is simply no denying the overwhelming success of the Trump economy.

Need more evidence?

Hispanic and black unemployment are at historic lows, while female unemployment has reached a 50-year low.

Meanwhile, wages are increasing at the fastest pace in nearly a decade.

Manufacturing jobs completely reversed course. In the final year of President Obama’s term, the manufacturing sector lost 16,000 jobs. In the first year of the Trump administration, there was a gain of 196,000 manufacturing jobs.

Accordingly, and perhaps unsurprisingly, “American manufacturers are on track for their most optimistic year in at least two decades,” according to the National Association of Manufacturers.

For nearly a decade before President Trump was elected in November 2016, Americans suffered through the worst economic recovery since World War II.

Because of the disastrous Obama-era failed liberal policies, manufacturing jobs fled, wages were flat, and millennials lost access to the job market.

Everything changed when America elected a businessman and a job creator to be president of the United States. Immediately upon taking office, President Trump set out to cure the ills of the ailing U.S. economy.

Recognizing the intuitive truism that overregulation and over-taxation put a chokehold on the free market by depressing wages and destroying jobs, our new president reversed course.

President Trump has slashed burdensome regulations at a record rate, cutting 22 regulations for every one implemented.

And the Trump tax cuts not only gave $2,059 back to the average American family, but also had the added benefit of reducing the corporate tax rate – once the highest in the industrial world – resulting in job creation and higher wages and bonuses.

It’s no wonder that President Obama is desperately trying to lay claim to the Trump economy. But his efforts to do so fly in the face of logic, intuition and fact.

The Wall Street Journal surveyed economists and found that a big majority credited President Trump’s policies as a catalyst for economic growth. Moreover, in the same survey, “more than 90% of economists said the tax cuts would increase GDP growth over the next two years.”

The truth is that President Trump has reversed every single failed economic policy of the Obama era. With that welcome move came a sea change in results. Jobs grew at historic rates. Wages finally began to climb. And consumer confidence, alongside the stock market, rose to record highs.

Though the Great Recession had run its course, workers still felt unsettled in 2016. It’s why a Deutsche Bank study found that workers felt more worried about losing their job in 2016 than they did in 2009 – at the height of the recession.

Workers felt insecure for one simple reason: the Obama economy failed them, resulting in the worst economic recovery since World War II.

Voters elected President Trump in 2016 because they believed he would rectify the wrongs of the Obama economy. He did just that – resoundingly!

And if the American people vote to give Republicans continued majorities in the U.S. House and Senate in the Nov. 6 general election, the president and Congress will continue working together to build a stronger and more prosperous economy and make progress on many other fronts as well.

I think what comes next is that Rosenstein and Mueller both exit on Nov. 6. No sense in rocking the boat b4 that.
