"Why I’m Leaving the Republican Party"
The Republicans, however, have now eclipsed the Democrats as a threat to the rule of law and to the constitutional norms of American society. They have become all about winning. Winning means not losing, and so instead of acting like a co-equal branch of government responsible for advice and consent, congressional Republicans now act like a parliamentary party facing the constant threat of a vote of no-confidence.
Free trade? Republicans are suddenly in love with tariffs, and now sound like bad imitations of early 1980s protectionist Democrats. A robust foreign policy? Not only have Republicans abandoned their claim to being the national-security party, they have managed to convince the party faithful that Russia—an avowed enemy that directly attacked our political institutions—is less of a threat than their neighbors who might be voting for Democrats. Respect for law enforcement? The GOP is backing Trump in attacks on the FBI and the entire intelligence community as Special Counsel Robert Mueller closes in on the web of lies, financial arrangements, and Russian entanglements known collectively as the Trump campaign.

And most important, on the rule of law, congressional Republicans have utterly collapsed. They have sold their souls, purely at Trump’s behest, living in fear of the dreaded primary challenges that would take them away from the Forbidden City and send them back home to the provinces. Yes, an anti-constitutional senator like Hirono is unnerving, but she’s a piker next to her Republican colleagues, who have completely reversed themselves on everything from the limits of executive power to the independence of the judiciary, all to serve their leader in a way that would make the most devoted cult follower of Kim Jong Un blush.

NEW DELHI: Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar would lead its F-15 fighter aircraft programme in the US, the global aerospace major said on Monday.
"Kumar has been selected to lead our iconic F-15 fighter aircraft programme in the US and globally," said Boeing in a statement here.

During his five-year tenure in India, Mr Kumar had advanced the company's business in commercial airplanes, defence, space and security and global services.

"We launched our engineering and technology centre in Bengaluru during his tenure to drive innovation, scaled up aerospace supply chain and have set up a joint venture with Tata to make fuselages for the Apache attack helicopter," the statement said.

Liberals, This is War
What’s at stake is much more than a single Supreme Court seat.
In July, Leonard Leo, executive vice president of the “constitutional originalist Federalist Society,” as RealClearPolitics phrased it, told Fox News:

“Any Supreme Court confirmation is transformative. This is a court that is often equally divided. At the end of the day, I think what’s really important to remember is that there’s been a movement on the court toward being more originalist and textualist. In other words, the idea that law means something, it has determinate meaning. And that’s the trend that I think this president wants to continue.”
But, when I think of originalism, I think this: Many of the founders owned slaves; in the Constitution they viewed black people as less than fully human; they didn’t want women or poor white men to vote. The founders, a bunch of rich, powerful white men, didn’t want true democracy in this country, and in fact were dreadfully afraid of it.

Now, a bunch of rich, powerful white men want to return us to this sensibility, wrapped in a populist “follow the Constitution” rallying cry and disguised as the ultimate form of patriotism.
We have to learn to see everything around us, all that is happening on the political front, through that lens. This is what the extreme measures on illegal immigration and even the efforts to dramatically slash legal immigration are all about.
As the Pew Research Center pointed out in August: “In fiscal 2017, which ended Sept. 30, the largest number of visas went to citizens of African countries” while applicants from European countries and from Asia received fewer visas than before.

The effort to demonize the lottery program is an effort to preserve America’s white majority, against the statistical eventuality, for as long as possible.
Pierce continued: “If the convention is called, the disunion that has become a faith in some conservative quarters will run amok. Economic oligarchy will be established in law, and any political check on the powers of business likely will be eviscerated.”

Folks, Kavanaugh is only one soldier, albeit an important one, in a larger battle. Stop thinking you’re in a skirmish, when you’re at war.

Lot of ideas without any specifics. He himself says no one knows who he is. So why they hell they published this article? The MSM is all about dirt on GoP. Funny there is no mention of total EJ control of GoP. That of course no one mentions at all.

If they are white racist fellows who are afraid of democracy, then they would not given all the rights etc to the citizens without any specific restrictions/bar on giving such rights to women and blacks. True that initially there were slaves and women have no voting rights but this was some 200 years back situation. The fact that the US has managed a remarkable and systematic constitutional republic from such origin and reached the present levels is a great achievement of the framers of the US constitution.

Still there are lot of issues with US systems which needs to be reformed. Take voter registrations for example. We in India doing a far better job of it than the US. Dems and libs are not doing they job and instead spreading alarmist ideas which will make the already large existing divisions far far wider. This hating the whites has to go first. But it is now a mantra for the libs which they are unlikely to forgo.

The manner in which they tried to stop BK is a very bad one. BK is establishment fellow and I am sure most of the Dem Senators know how he really think and which way he a rule in most of the critical issues. From what i read he even supported/upheld Obama care. So why they felt he is such a bad thing? I fail to understand.

One has to emphathize with the "Y ah'm leavin' the elephant tribe" feeling. But why now and not 12 to 15 years ago? The Republicans have been drifting into Neo-Nazism since the late 1970s; the effects became starkly visible first in the (B) Clinton years when Gingrich contested elections on the sole platform of "making it impossible for Clinton to govern" through an endless series of Whitewater Special Prosecutor Starr and other gimmicks, culminating of course in Willy C's own genius in the Ovary Office "Pizza Delivery" sessions. They tried to obstruct every single budget. It was Clinton's genius (and luck of course) IMO that he managed to string together the forces that boosted the Internet, brought in the sdre to boost Silicon Valley and generally got the budget into huge surplus.

In the BO years the elephants went back into 100% obstruction. That BO was not replaced by a donkey was entirely the fault of the donkeys with their shenanigans. Had they got a younger person slightly more centrist than Sanders, it would have been a slam-dunk and a dominant donkey COTUS and POTUS. Instead they got u no hu, hu got ass whipped by U no Hoo. Karma.

Yes, sane people would like alternatives. But both parties have IMO outlived their non-rotten lifespans long since. Today the roles are reversed: the elephants are Protectionist, Southern Bap.. Conversionists and Neo-Nazi, while the donkeys are, well... communist/Ummah/Conversionist Mau-Mau. If only Canada were not so cold and infested with pakis and khalistanis....

WHat do you mean nothing happened to him ? He was held in contempt of court, fined 90,000 and had his license to practice law suspended for "misleading testimony".

Compared to that Kavanugh accusation were far more serious - a sexual assualt and attempted rape. And what do you mean cleared by FBI ? the statue of limitation against Kavanagh long expired. FBI didnt do legal investigation it conducted back ground verification of sorts within four days. And even before FBI gave any report the repubs were pretty clear they will back him irrespective of the report.
AFAIK there have been multiple sexual assault allegations against Bill Clinton, including rape ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juanita_Broaddrick ) and he has settled with other accusers by paying 100's of thousands $.

Also, the trouble with this "Its All White Men" thing is that a regime of "Its All White Wimmens" is not going to be any better; in fact indications are that it will be far worse, going by the behavior of Senators Feinstein, Boxer etc. Yes, they have retinues of non-slaves following their orders, but are they any "fairer" (a racist term, of course)? Clearly they do not respect the constitutional notion of Presumption of Innocence. They do not respect the idea of Merit through Hard Work and Smartness Regardless of Skin Color (they want blatant preference for, u guessed it, white wimmens or black wimmens who will take orders from white wimmens). The ones on the Elephant side are no better and may be far worse, except the elephant party has not ***YET*** been taken over by white wimmens. Look what happened to Sanders, to see the "fairness" of the cabal consisting of HC and her non-slave Donna whatzit the (ex) head of the donkey national party. You really look forward to living in a place run by THESE?

I mentioned this to some of my desi friends who are supporters of the ghadaa urban naxal party. India took over a decade and implemented a positive voter ID system to include some 800 million voters. It isn't completely perfect - better than 99.9% though, but the scope of vote fraud is significantly less. That too, the voting machines are independent and maintain a checksum that maintains their integrity.

Chinese Students in the US: Beware of Deteriorating US-China Relations
Chinese students in the United States are standing at the very front of this conflict and they will be directly impacted.
The Financial Times reported yesterday that Washington had considered a total ban on student visas for Chinese nationals. Citing three people familiar with the situation, FT revealed that Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, had urged the Trump administration to make it impossible for Chinese citizens to study in the United States, so as to deal with “China’s nontraditional intelligence collectors.”
Although the idea was proposed early this year and had been “shelved over concerns about its economic and diplomatic impact,” according to FT, the information still caught the immediate attention of many Chinese international students in the United States. The news has been shared widely on Chinese social media and instant messaging tools.
....
In February, FBI Director Chris Wray publicly fired the first shot against Chinese students. During a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, he claimed that Chinese information “collectors” have infiltrated U.S. universities.
“I would just say that the use of nontraditional collectors – especially in the academic setting, whether it’s professors, scientists, students – we see in almost every field office that the FBI has around the country,” Wray said.
In early June, the Associated Press reported that the U.S. State Department has instructed U.S. embassies and consulates to limit Chinese graduate students’ visas to a one-year period if they are studying in fields related to the “Made in China 2025” program, like robotics, aviation, and high-tech manufacturing.

Wow! That one-year thing would really hit a lot of grad schools.
BTW, one feature that the Free Biscuits have not caught on to, is the Vijiting Scholar Program. The Chinese govt seems to fund a nearly infinite number of these. And they don't particularly care what depts these scholars go to - or maybe they REALLY do care. Example: Say, Aerospace or Electrical Engg PhD wants to do post-doctoral stint in Marketing or Public Policy (or other way round I suppose). I am 400% sure that there is a good reason for this investment....

This is Steven Miller’s planning who is a racist. What next people from India? I’ve worked with some Chinese grad students and post-docs in physics and EE and they’re some of the best out there.

I do like that article above about the chinese students and what can happen. We Indians should not think we are any different or special. In an extreme situation or not so extreme situation what people now think is unthinkable can and will happen. Anyone that is not prepared is a fool.A fast deportation enmasse. Could happen to chinese or Indians for that matter in the future.

Why do I say so. Remember what happened to the japanese in second world war. Born and brought up here. A very successful japanese businessman now retired. His son is my friend. The pain still persists more than 75 yrs later.

In the late 80,s or early nineties or thereabouts. Drug war was in full swing in columbia. A Phd student from columbia in harvard University.literally midnight knock on the door, very little time given to even collect your belongings , herded like sheep in a bus and straight to the airport and deported to Columbia. He was my room mate in London, very very bitter about the whole experience. Can not write what he said here.Excuse given when asked why are you doing this, I am a Phd student. You all are drug dealers. All Columbian students deported enmasse. All drug dealers. Land of the free, home of the brave.

Not at all unimaginable. Which is why there has to be constant vigilance and strenuous countering of the hostile propagandoos at every step. Back in 1999/2000 onwards "we" formed something called a Rapid Response Team. Found hostile articles/OpEds (no shortage then..) and responded fast and hard-hitting. Aim was to cause ulcers for the writers and their editors, rarely saw our own responses published though that happened too. Had quite a few good victories like the time the Atlantic Council for the US (ACUS) published a stinker by a Foggy Bottom alum saying that India had invaded every one of its neighbors. etc. Pointed out that ACUS had several serving high officers of PLA among its Vijiting Fellows and threatened to write to every COTUSperson pointing to this fact. The Prez of ACUS wrote back a bit more than shaken. Never saw any garbage from there after that, specifically from the worm in question.

This is what the Jewish ppl learned the hard way and why they are the way they are: they realized that any sign of weakness and they would be preyed upon again. Yindoos are still pretty clueless; I hope they get a clue without suffering the experiences of the Jews.

Sad to hear about the Colombian students. Pity no one has sued on their behalf. Things are far better for them now in the US.
BTW, same happened to Indian students in Bilayat after POK-1 in 1974. A coujin of mine was totally destroyed in the process. Brilliant physicist.

Once an old racist jerk, regular writer to the local rag, wrote a long letter/OpEd declaring how it was important to US security to do what they did to Japanese-American citizens. My Evil 6th Coujin exercised some good missiles on said jerk and said anyone with a 6th grade understanding of the Constitution would know better. Was published completely. Got a call from a Japanese-American lady, and she was literally crying as she thanked E6C. Jerk was seen later whining that he couldn't express any opinions without getting slammed.

OTOH, put urself in the shoes of whoever was in charge of worrying about internal security circa 1941. Japanese forces were overrunning China and much of southeast Asia. They had just pulled off a massive coup against US naval forces. Clearly they had very good intel about Hawaii.

What would YOU do? Sit on your hands and do sashtang-pranaam to JA citjens? At least for their own safety, it would have been prudent to move them to secured areas. Looting their homes and bijnejes and other property was probably not very kind, but assuming that most JAs felt some pride in the resurgence of the Rising Sun, was probably not very far from the truth. Sad part of that is that JAs were probably considered to be the low-low Servants of the Round-Eyed Gaijin, by the Resident Japanese Patriots. Traitorous scum, IOW. So that is not an easy situation to do 20-20 hindsight, and it will be "rationalized" again the same way in future, with very high probability. Careful observation of the Kavanaugh saga hype shows how much the lynch-mob mentality still persists. Worldwide.

But for us there is No sense in sitting around contemplating navels and saying Bhavitavyam Bhavedeva, All is Maya etc. and going and putting notes in the Hundi and expecting all to be fine. Have to be watchful and not let the asuras move an inch without kicking them hard. Which is the reason for the Brfee Strat Phorum. History is not pretty at all, and history is made every din.

Then again, I am **NOT** weeping for the PRChinese. The finding that there is massive systematic spying by the PRC is totally warranted. I have no idea how to tell the innocents from the others, or whether there ARE any innocents. I fully agree that MANY are brilliant and VERY hard-working people. But you can't bet ur life on their trustworthiness, or even of their being really themselves.

No doubt that sounds and is probably, xenophobic and racist. But it comes from fear induced by a near-100% record. Several universities have quietly stopped accepting PRC grad student applications - not because of spying but because of widespread fraud. The person who shows up often has no relation to the person who wrote the application or "took" the standardized tests. If you are advisor to a student from there, there is a very high chance of your computer codes, notes and all showing up inside PRC. Which can get you arrested in the US as well! So taking on students from there is about as smart, from a prof's pov, I imagine, as driving drunk or having unprotected hootchie-kootchie at hi-school parties.

It’s like a switch is thrown at D+8 that causes actual Democratic seat gain to go from behind their popular-vote gain pace to well ahead of it. So what happens at D+8? Republicans’ structural advantage in how districts are drawn (gerrymandering, as well as the phenomenon of self-sorting, whereby Democrats tend to cluster in cities, which are already heavily Democratic) begins to erode. That advantage normally allows Republicans to keep control of the House while still losing the popular vote by a modest margin. But if Republicans lose the popular vote by too much, their firewall might break all at once, and Democratic gains could multiply.

This "to give others a chaanus" is just bakwaas that is put out when people are pushed out for various reasons. To give a nice wrapper around it. It also happens in sports.
My feeling is she had some issues with policyof Trump and could not defend it and decided to leave.

A right-time-exit, IMO. No negatives voiced. Marginal benefit of staying on has declined, it's better to quit while one is ahead. Under DT boss-ship, chances of being fired rise exponentially with experience on the job.

UN Amby is not a job with any direct upward mobility. Future SoS maybe. Or $$MM CEO of Blackwater or some such.

IIRC she is not a lawyer( thank god) so AG post may not be in the cards. VP run is 2020 seems to be possible. Pence has served purpose and is/was not a Presidential candidate anyway due to his extreme and open EJ records. DT do not need Pence now as in 2020 EJs vote for DT no matter what. A non white women in the GoP ticket will be good one to get female votes plus launch Nikki ( I do not like this Namratha business she seems to be as anti Indian as they come - Remember how she tried to get our candidate for ICJ defeated in spite of DT advise to support us) for 2024.

Her anti-Indianness pales compared to Piyush "Bobby" Jindal. He is the master, she a mere acolyte.

Looks like Trump cut off Soros funding in US.

#Antifa demonstrators who didn't get paid, gather in front of a Soros office and chant: "George Soros - where's my money?"

There is almost a civil war like situation in the US. Both left and right are hardening positions and things which are never thought before like directly attacking like "Lock her up" to harassing people in the restaurants etc being done by both sides. Election results will not be mere change of party but looked as a mandate to negate everything done by the immediate previous rulers. Both sides have their own goons and soon we may be seeing shootouts in the streets. GoP may have an edge in this as they have most guns as of now.

antifa has links back to Rodina, has been discussed by a number of commentators
for antifa to come out against soros now serves many purposes
he is the favourite target right now - and not just in the US

thats the bottomline.
FT oped suggests that she has been manoeuvred out by Bolton, following the 'confusion' public humiliation she had a few months ago

ofcourse, it is now very handy for her to start working on a nomination with enough distance from the WH and DT

Soros will be taken to task soon. He is making too many enemies in a very open manner. There is no need for many agitations he is creating in the US and elsewhere other than to usher in anarchy.

Nikki will be an idiot to contest the GoP primaries in 2020. As things stands today it is very difficult to defeat DT.
