Immy's Carefully Crafted Image Takes A Hit According To This Rumour Mongering Such Gup Report In Friday Times

Hand-wringing
There is much hand-wringing going on in The Great Khan’s horde, principally about mistakes made in the recent by-elections which they lost, and by corollary, about The Khan’s famous personal decision which has cost him his image amongst the powers-that-be. It is believed that The Khan married his spiritual advisor (Peerni) on January 1, this year, in Lahore. If true, this would be his third marriage – and the lady being a mother of five, has attracted a lot of misogynist criticism. This decision also appears to have cost The Khan amongst Pakistan’s rural voters whose conventionality shuns breakages of families, and where patriarchy denies agency to women, especially those who decide to divorce a husband and move on according to their choice. Imran in his usual cavalier way has dismissed "rumours" of his marriage ! . The Khan is being advised to keep his third marriage under wraps for the moment. Meanwhile, a tell-all book is about to be published, the author being The Khan’s second wife, whom he married in 2015, only to divorce her a few months later. The gossip is that the book, being published in the United Kingdom, has been translated into Urdu by The Man of Steel’s pen pushers for local consumption. Ganja's revenge !. He should ensure that the translated copies are available for sale well well before election time

Modi-ji's Policy Towards Pakistan Explained Here .

View: PM Narendra Modi has made Pakistan pay more for terrorism
By: Aarti Tikoo Singh - Economic Times
India and Pakistan have ratcheted up offensive rhetoric following the terror attack on the Sunjuwan army camp in Jammu, actuating nervous appeals for dialogue and peace from many including Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.
From NDA government’s Left-wing economics to its Hindu Right-wing politics, there is a lot worth criticizing but, in all fairness, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, contrary to his pre-election bluster on Pakistan, did start off from a reconciliatory position. Exercising the advantage of his massive mandate, he attempted to establish friendly relations with his counterpart Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is now ousted.
For the first time since 2012, India and Pakistan resumed foreign secretary level talks in 2015, which were followed by Prime Ministerial diplomatic talks in Ufa. The initial bonhomie between India and Pakistan began dissipating after the terror strikes, first on Gurdaspur police station in July 2015 and later on Pathankot Air Force base in January 2016.
After three wars with India and following the defeat of Soviet Union in Afghanistan by Taliban, Pakistan switched from conventional to sub-conventional warfare in the late 1980s, given its cost-effectiveness and maximum impact. The net result of all track I or track II diplomacy in the last three decades therefore has been a constant—cross border terrorism with the exception of 1999 Kargil war. Pakistan is convinced that its sub-conventional approach will deliver victory in Kashmir just as it as it did in Afghanistan.
Pakistan, like the Soviet Union, believes in not only reaching a nuclear and military parity with India but wants to supersede India on that account. It has moved from limited nuclear deterrence to a full-spectrum deterrence and at the same time, realigned itself from being an ally of the US, to now almost China's protectorate, in the new dynamic world-order, post-Trump. Pakistan's geo-strategic objectives in Afghanistan and Kashmir, which are defined by its military-mosque industrial complex anand not at variance with those of the civilian leadership, remain unchanged.
Therefore, talks or no talks, India has and will continue to receive only terror from Pakistan until Kashmir is “resolved". And even if Kashmir were settled, Pakistan's paranoia about India, which it considers an existential threat since the creation of Bangladesh in 1971, it will remain adversarial towards India and open new fronts of proxy war as it did after its Khalistani terrorist movement was defeated in Punjab. With the help of China, which also seeks to contain India, Pakistan will seeks to contain India, Pakistan will pursue policies to undermine India's influence in Afghanistan by supporting Taliban and to that end China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) only strengthen its goals.
Given this scenario, India's foreign policy towards Pakistan, which has historically been defensive-offensive, will follow the normal course—from talks to disruption and from disruption to talks. However, not talking at the table across each other is talking by other means and talking on one's own terms. The Modi government during the current disruption has determined the terms of non-engagement instead of being inactive as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was during his second term.
In the absence of a détente, India has escalated the cost for Pakistan's cross-border terror—pressure from the Trump administration to act against Kashmir-centric terror groups and their leaders, NIA investigations in terror funding of Kashmiri separatists, intensified counter-insurgency operations in Kashmir and cross-LoC limited strikes. These measures will be followed by talks at some point but for now without a Mikhail Gorbachev in Pakistan, and a tangible détente encouraged by Pakistan, , Modi has no immediate incentive to become Ronald Reagan. Until the power of the Paki Fauj is cut to size ( not likely to happen in the near future), the future of Indo Pak reconciliation does not look bright !

Voice Of America Launches Propaganda War Against Pakistan On Its Decision To Send Paki Troops To Saudia

Pakistan Under Scrutiny for Planned Troop Deployment in Saudi Arabia
VOA
Pakistan's decision to deploy troops to Saudi Arabia has sparked domestic criticism the country is taking sides in the Yemeni conflict in violation of a parliamentary resolution, and it's a move some say likely will upset neighboring Iran. The Pakistani military announced Thursday it was sending a "contingent" of troops "on a training and advice mission" to Saudi Arabia "in a continuation of ongoing … bilateral security cooperation." The statement, however, explained the Pakistani "troops or those already there" will be stationed on the soil of Saudi Arabia. It seems that in spite of his "retired status", Raheel Sharif has still got some "pull" back home !
Nearly 1,200 Pakistani troops are permanently stationed in Saudi Arabia as part of a training mission for more than 250,000 Saudi troops. The English daily DAWN quoted the Pakistan army spokesman as saying the size of the new contingent would be "less than a division," which usually consists of about 10,000 forces.Riyadh and Islamabad have been close allies for decades. The Saudis have been pressing Pakistan for the troop deployment since the outbreak of the Yemen conflict in 2015.
But the national parliament that year unanimously adopted a resolution affirming Islamabad's strict "neutrality" in the conflict and called for the government to use diplomacy to end the crisis. The Paki Parliament and the Paki Senate are "usually ignored" by the Paki Fauj, who consider these institutions with contempt !
Opposition Senator Farhatullah Babar initiated the debate in the upper house and warned of " grave consequences " for Pakistan.
The senator from the Pakistani Peoples Party alleged that recent statements by the foreign ministry were aimed at justifying the troop deployment to "actively engaging the Yemenis in the conflict on the side of the Saudis." The debate prompted Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani to summon the foreign minister on Monday for a clarification and to explain reasons for sending troops to Saudi Arabia. The FM, if he complies with these summons, will likely "mouth" the Fauji line on this
Critics warn that Islamabad's military engagement could upset the country's minority Shiite community and undermine bilateral relations with Tehran.Pakistani officials in background interviews, however, dismissed those concerns and told VOA that Iran "has been taken into confidence" with regard to sending troops to Saudi Arabia. They cited a recent visit to Tehran by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, where he discussed the matter with the Iranian leadership.Political commentator and television talk show host, Talat Hussain, questioned the army's statement that Pakistani troops will not be employed outside Saudi Arabia."It fools no one to say [troops] won't leave Kingdom boundaries. Saudi-Iran are fighting. Iran-Israel are fighting. In the middle of it are now are our contingents. This will have long-term implications," Hussain wrote on his Twitter account. The Iranis do not trust the Paki claims of neutrality in the Shia - Sunni tiff . Pakistan is clearly on the side of the Saudis !

What The Eff Is The "Bajwa Doctrine"

‘Bajwa Doctrine’ working well against American blackmail
LONDON: Leading British security think-tank Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) ( heard about Chatham House but never heard about this "animal" before !) has said in an analysis that Pakistan army under “Bajwa Doctrine” is biting back hard against threats issued by the American administration and far more confident than it was when the Americans threatened its then President, General Musharraf, to bomb Pakistan into the stone age if it didn’t comply with American demands.
The RUSI said in the report published yesterday that the USA is making the same threats that it did from George W Bush till now but “gone are the days of timidity and scurrying to please the Americans” and this is being called the “Bajwa Doctrine” which suggests that the Pakistan Army should not do more, but rather the world must do more. Meanwhile, under the Bajwa Regime, Pakhastan is back on the international "begging circuit"
Written by Kamal Alam, RUSI’s expert on Pakistan and Middle East,[/size] the report said that Milt Bearden, a former station chief in Islamabad who along with Congressman Charlie Wilson ran the covert war from Pakistan to fight the Soviets in the 1980s, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have said that its wrong to blame Pakistan alone for Afghanistan problems... There has to be a catch somewhere and there it is . The report is written by a Paki sympathizer ( one Kamal Alam, allegedly a expert on Pakiland !) under the letterhead of RUSI . Nothing more be said, case closed
The RUSI report said that while there has been a downward trajectory of US aid to Pakistan, the Trump factor coupled with the threat of aid cuts seems to be a flash in the pan.
“The message from the military is quite clear – US equipment is no longer the only option for Pakistan. In fact, Pakistan is actively buying hardware and producing more with China. As far as US military aid goes, the words of the Pakistani Army’s spokesperson Major-General Asif Ghafoors sums up Pakistan’s perspective, ‘Pakistan never fought for money but for peace’. The Pakistani military leadership’s message is clear, that the Army has restored Pakistan’s stability. If that is indeed the case, why is the Interior and Foreign Minister of Pakiland are "urging" Massa to reconsider the aid suspension !
The report quoted leading American generals and officers who said that without Pakistan the war on terror would not have been won after 9/11. It was Pakistan that helped militarily more than any other NATO country. The future, as far as the Pakistan Army is concerned, belongs to them,” concluded the report.

'Pakistan troops sent to Saudi after defining rules of engagement' - PTI
Pakistan today said the decision to send its troops to Saudi Arabia was taken after clarifying the "rules of engagement" for which negotiations were ongoing for some time.

Defence Minister Khurram Dastigir Khan said the role of Pakistani troops was limited to advisory and training to Saudi forces.

"Negotiations were ongoing regarding the rules of engagement and once we attained clarity on the issue that the troops will be on training and advisory mission to strengthen the ground defence of Saudi Arabia, the troops were sent," he told Geo News last night.

He ruled out any involvement in the Yemen civil war but said that Pakistan will not provide any air defence against missiles by Houthi rebels.

"We only want to train their forces and better advise them. The areas bordering Yemen are mountainous, and as Pakistan's army is highly trained in mountain warfare, we will train and advise them {In other words, Pakistani troops *are* getting involved on the side of the Sunnis} ," he said.

In a major policy shift, Pakistan decided to deploy troops in Saudi Arabia under an existing bilateral security cooperation agreement with its close ally which is involved in a civil war in neighbouring Yemen.

The Pakistan Army announced the decision to send troops on a training and advise mission to Saudi Arabia after a meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki at the army headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

Separately, the Express Tribune reported that the deployment of troops was sanctioned by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as part of a longstanding defence cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh {That is the ruse} .

Currently, there are 1,379 Pakistani troops deployed in Saudi Arabia, most of whom are from Pakistan Army, along with air force and navy officials, according to security sources.

The exact number of troops being sent is not known, but the fresh deployment is said to be slightly over 1,000 soldiers, according to the newspaper.

Security sources also clarified that there is nothing new about the deployment of Pakistani troop in the oil-rich kingdom, as defence cooperation with Saudi Arabia is based on a 1982 bilateral protocol for training and advisory roles.

The report said defence cooperation in the Persian Gulf is not limited to Riyadh, as there is currently a deployment of 627 Pakistani troops in Qatar, including 165 from the army and 462 from the navy and air force.

Islamabad also maintains a similar working relationship with Iran, which currently has 10 pilots in training with the Pakistan military.

The Iranians will be sending five more pilots "sometime in April" and even "more in subsequent years," sources said.

Pakistan has stayed away from the conflict in Yemen where Iran strongly opposes the involvement of the Saudi-led military coalition.

In November last year, army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Tehran where he met top Iranian civil and military leaders, including President Hassan Rouhani.

Bajwa has also visited Saudi Arabia five times in his first year in charge.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been involved in a number of joint training exercises in recent months, the most recent being a joint naval exercise in Karachi codenamed Affa Al-Sahil, which concluded on Friday.

The exercise has been performed annually since 2011 and aims to enhance interoperability and sharpen tactical proficiency in countering maritime human trafficking, piracy and terrorism.

Meanwhile, naval exercises are currently underway between Pakistan and Saudi Arabian marines in Saudi waters.

Saudi special services participated in the last Pakistan Day parade, while there are currently 200 Saudi cadets in the Pakistan Military Academy, PAF Academy, and Naval Academy.

A source said that last year, close to 1,500 Saudi officers and soldiers were trained in Pakistan, mostly by the interior ministry.

Valentine Ban Gone Too Far

Peshawar University called off classes to bar students from celebrating Valentine's Day
The Express Tribune
PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar has employed a novel way to stop students from celebrating Valentine’s Day on campus with academia being given a holiday on the date. The varsity has seen violent clashes among different student groups on Valentine’s Day in the past with many students sustaining serious injuries as a result. Interestingly, the institute had organised a joint workshop for its 640 faculty members in an attempt to divert students’ attention from the motive behind the holiday, sources close to the move told The Express Tribune. Meanwhile in Saudia this year , a sarkari approved Mullah has made some conciliatory noises about Valentine. Does not Pakistan takes its cues from the "Land Of The Two Holy Mosques "
The administration issued a notification about classes which were cancelled for the workshop, however, the sources said that the workshop was merely an excuse and a cover from stopping students from celebrating Valentines’ Day. Teachers termed the move by the administration as an “act of hypocrisy.” Just like in Saudi Arabia, what goes on behind the four walls of a Defence Housing Society in Krachi, LaWhore or Isloo on this day is nobody's business !
Another faculty member remarked that the university should have put a ban on Valentine’s Day activities on campus instead of giving a holiday to students.
“This is hypocrisy, they [the university administration] should have clearly stated that they are against Valentines’ Day celebrations rather than covering it up with a workshop,” the teacher said. KP Province, where the University is located is of course, "ruled" by the Oxford educated playboy cum politician Imran Khan who has now been flirting with the Mullahs after flirting with some "western flesh" during his long sojourn in the "corrupt west"

Immy "Scores" Big Endorsement !
Ayub Khan’s grandson joins PTI
ISLAMABAD – Former Minister of State for Finance Omar Ayub Khan on Saturday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Omar Ayub Khan, who is a grandson of the former dictator and president of Pakistan General Ayub Khan, met PTI chief Imran Khan in Islamabad and expressed confidence in PTI’s leadership.
Ayub Khan served as the second President of Pakistan from 1958 until being forced to resign amid the 1969 uprising in East Pakistan.
He is noted for being the first and only self-appointed Field Marshal  as well as the first martial law ruler who forcibly assumed the presidency following the exile of President Iskander Mirza when the latter imposed a martial law against the Feroz Khan Noon government in 1958.

"Famous Foreign Based Paki" Regurgitates Mr Dracula AKA Christopher Lee As D'Jinnah

Christopher Lee, the Quaid fan
Akbar Ahmed
When I launched my book, Jinnah, Pakistan and Islamic Identity, at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, in the summer of 1997, there in the front row sat Christopher Lee. I have a delightful photograph of Lee in conversation with Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who graciously spoke at the event, and myself.Lee had developed a genuine admiration for Jinnah and during the film shoot in Pakistan when we faced great challenges on many fronts and even the completion of the film seemed uncertain, Lee would tell me “Just as Mr. Jinnah created Pakistan, I will make sure that we finish the film.” The success of "GANDHI" on the international scene led the Pakis to enlist one of their own ( Akbar Ahmed ) to highlight the so-called Father Of The Nation . !
We had become friends during the shoot, as had our wives, and he would make it a habit of ringing from his hotel room after a hard day’s shoot and dropping in to chat with me on a variety of subjects including the shoot. He often discussed ownership of the Jinnah film. I explained it was owned by Quaid Project Limited. I was head of the company and owned its only share. He would often talk to me in the stern tones of an elder brother admonishing his sibling: “Stop being a professor. Don’t be so trusting. Be a producer. You are dealing with sharks and they will eat you up.” Writer on an ego trip
Lee’s commitment to the film was inspiring. At the start of the shoot in Karachi in early 1997, a military officer with a beard and wearing civilian clothes (the self appointed guardians of the so-called "Pakistan ideology  ) asked to see me. He said he represented the army ...
I asked the officer to meet me alone in the basement of the hotel where we kept our wardrobe late one evening. I then rang Lee and requested him to meet me there too in the full Jinnah outfit — black sherwani and white shalwar with the karakuli hat on his head. I told him to stand still in the middle of the dark room with a bright light shining on him. I then went out and brought in the Major. On seeing Lee the Major thought he was actually seeing an apparition of Jinnah. With an exclamation he seemed to jump back a few inches murmuring that this was the Quaid-i-Azam. The ghost of D Jinnah come back from the grave
The negative press about Lee and the film which had been skilfully manipulated in the newspapers on our arrival by someone who imagined he was a better candidate to play Jinnah genuinely baffled Lee (see Dare to Dream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKmJFbWXuzc). So far no one has apologized for spreading lies and distortions. Many Pakis were miffed that the "role of the Quaid" was "given on a platter" to a Non Paki and that too to one who was "famously known as Mr Dracula" . Maybe there was a subliminal message there
“Why don’t the Pakistanis understand that we are here to pay tribute to the great man,” Lee would say with a hint of exasperation. “They object to my having played Dracula — and that 40 years ago. If people thought like this then the Americans would object to Anthony Hopkins playing an American president after he acted in The Silence of the Lambs as a psychopathic killer.” :D
I told him that Pakistanis were very big-hearted people and whatever nonsense he was reading in the press was motivated mainly by personal malice... damage control
Lee’s career went on from strength to strength as he got starring roles in some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters of all times like the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. He was even singing and publishing songs. The Queen recognised him as one of the great British actors and knighted him.
Lee completed his autobiography, Tall, Dark and Gruesome, in1999 and kindly sent me a copy inscribed, ‘To Akbar Ahmed who gave me the opportunity to portray a giant of history. With appreciation.’ In the last section, ‘Jinnah,’ he again showed his generosity by putting my name first on a list of people he thanked to ‘pay tribute’: ‘Executive Producer, Akbar Ahmed, a distinguished Islamic scholar who was the originator of the project, having worked on it for a decade. He was determined that we would fulfil our obligations’ (p. 300). Ego trip Part II
Footnote: In contrast to " GANDHI ", which won many Oscar Awards and made world public aware of India's struggle for Independence, the JINNAH project flopped and it appears that the producer cum writer must have "lost his shirt", unless the Paki Govt of the day, "financially bailed him out "

Cousin Of Disappeared Sind Journo Also Picked Up By "Deep State" !

Government school teacher 'whisked away' from Badin
A government school teacher was allegedly whisked away by men in civvies and police uniform in Sindh's Badin district on Friday, a day after his cousin, a former Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) activist, was picked up in a similar fashion. Job is now complete. Both of them will of course be tortured and made to "sing" and then others will then be picked up
The men who arrived in police mobiles and other vehicles whisked away Ubaidullah Jarwar, a primary school teacher, from a village some 70 kilometres away from Badin early on Friday, said his cousin Naseerullah Jarwar.
Naseerullah, whose brother Rafaqat Jarwar was taken away while he was sitting at a shop in Badin's Tando Bago town on Thursday, while talking to Dawn said Ubaidullah was whisked away in an identical manner as his brother. He said Badin police, including Badin SSP Abdul Qayyum Pitafi, was still denying that local police had been behind the "arrests".
Local journalists and workers of various political parties staged demonstrations in Tando Bago, Talhar, Matli and other towns of Badin and demanded the release of the two men. IMO, Pakistan is "digging its own graves". The whole East Pakistan scenario is being played in Balochistan, KP and Sind !

Dus Percenti Retracts "Brave Kid" Remarks

Zardari 'regrets' calling Rao Anwar 'brave kid', retracts remarks
A day after referring to absconding police officer Rao Anwar as a "brave kid", former president Asif Ali Zardari has retracted the remarks he issued in support of the suspended SSP, saying he had made them "unwittingly".
The former president has described his words as "misspoken and regretted any offence to anyone", it added.
"Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings are twins of a deepening curse," Babar said in the statement, reiterating that PPP would never support such occurrences. Zardari "realises that his remarks made unwittingly in the flow of conversation may have caused anguish and has regretted it", he added.

More Chini Loans For Pakiland !

Pakistan obtains yet another huge loan from China
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has obtained another $500 million loan from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) considering dwindling foreign exchange reserves and rising current account deficit. This raises ICBC contribution to $1 billion to assist a strong rupee against the U.S dollar in three months, Tribune has reported. This is probably just a "drop in the bucket" !
The govt obtained the loan on January 15th at an interest rate of 4.5 percent, sources in the finance ministry told. During January, Pakistan raised $704 million worth of new loans, taking total foreign borrowings to $6.6 billion in first seven months of financial year 2017-18. Swimming in debt !
Till now, Pakistan has been loaned $255m by Credit Suisse AG, Standard Chartered Bank London $200 million, Citibank $267 million and Dubai Bank $55.9 million. Foreign commercial bank loans constituted 27 percent of the country’s total foreign loans obtained. More to come !

Bad al sharief is the original instigator of this new paki role. A trustworthy servant of the two noble sanctuaries, willing to literally pick up the sword on behalf of his masters. Watch his newly defined role in this video after 2:00. Also watch how "envelopes" are exchanged.

Immy the dimmy was probably lying!

Justice Wajih demands forensic evidence of billion tree project
Former PTI senior leader and chairman Aam Log Party Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed has said there is no forensic evidence of planting over a billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
now that cat was out of the bag
only 240 million planted, rest is juggling
“Imran Khan is a good salesman but politics isn’t a trade.”
whatever your blind love for IK & the rest makes you believe. Probably you are a young zealot & have a long way to go
On the contrary I know plenty to destroy both Imran & PTI. Don’t push me lad! :rotfl:

Anupmisra-ji :
IMO, the "Bad Sherrif" AKA The New Savior Of Saudi should owe a big thanks of gratitude to his old LaWhori employer, the " Good Sharif" , who probably with his Saudi connections "whispered" a few good words on his behalf to the powers to be ! Now, that ( from the video !) he has almost ingratiated himself with the local elite, ( has he learned the local lingo yet ; why is he not gone completely native - local garb- ) he should apply for Saudi citizenship !,

If we're not doing so already, I think we need to start a photo archive of iconic displays of Pakistaniyat. This definitely would be in the top 10. Anyone remember the action shots of commandoos jumping out of trucks, jumping off hilltops with guns a-blazing in support of operations Rand-ul-Facade and Zarb-e-ArseGrab?

Thanks for sharing this link, Chetakji. I'm always on the lookout for these types of orgs to read up on strategic analysis.

I don't believe the 2 are related directly - The Indian one has a totally different set of management/patrons and focus (Armed Forces), whereas the British one (RUSI) seems to be more like a Rand Institute.

The list of RUSI patrons and well-wishers would indicate it is a highly legit org - the Queen, Teresa May, Kissinger are listed.

Cheers,

We all know that it was American aid and reimbursements that kept Pakistan army well fed, armed and clothed between 2001-2017, when Paki economy was going down the hill and losing its ability to maintain such an army. This money was free for Generals to use the way they want with no accountability. Generals used a part of this money to keep journalists, media anchors and Jihadis in their payroll.

As US is withdrawing monetary support and CPEC money is not trickling to Paki Army, Paki army faces an existential crisis.

Saudi Arabian deal is to keep that money coming (directly to Pakistan Army) as a reimbursement of their services. Money that doesn't need to be shown in any books. Money that can be used by the generals freely to keep the lower ranks in better shape vis-a-vis Aam abdul, and keep the media in their pocket. Money that can be used to show Paki army as an island of excellence amid ruins of decaying public institutions.

As Paki economy faces some serious issues, Paki army will turn increasingly rent for hire to maintain their current status and shape.

Police foil 13-year-old girl's marriage to 55-year-old man staged by her father
the father hailing from Mardan had agreed to marry his daughter off to a man more than four times her age in exchange for the promise of a five-marla plot.
the 55-year-old groom had been living in Saudi Arabia for the past 20 years
Girls as young as 10 are being married off in Pakistan even though the legal minimum age for getting married is 16 and this is because they do not get their CNICs made.
Following the leader.

PTI Challenges Senate Nomination Of Paki PM's Sister Holding Dual Nationality As "Insurance"

LHC rejects petition challenging Senate nomination of PM’s sister
The Lahore High Court on Saturday dismissed a petition of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI) challenging the nomination papers of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s sister Sadia Abbasi for the forthcoming Senate polls.
An appellate bench of the high court gave this verdict after hearing arguments of both sides. PTI leader Andleeb Abbas challenged the returning office’s decision to accept Sadia Abbasi’s nomination for the Senate on a seat reserved for women.
Abbasi’s lawyer argued that the petitioner did not raise objections on his client’s nomination papers before the returning officer during their scrutiny. He stated the petition was not maintainable and requested the court to dismiss it. In the petition, the PTI leader argued that the premier’s sister had concealed details of her assets in the nomination papers. Besides, she also possessed the nationality of more than one country, Many Paki politicos (eg, Shaukat Aziz, Ex PM, Interior Minister Rahman Malik hold dual passports as "insurance" ) therefore, she was not eligible to be a senator, the petitioner argued.
The PML-N candidates – Sadia Abbasi and Nuzhat Sadiq – had filed nomination papers for the Senate seat reserved for women from Punjab, which were accepted by the ECP’s returning officer after their scrutiny. The Abbasi family likes to keep its option open, in case the present PM falls "out of favour" with Ganja's PML, hence the nomination of the sister !

Sedition charges filed against Mani Shankar after his KLF session

Former Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has been indicted with sedition and defamation by a BJP leader after he reportedly praised Pakistan and insulted India.

At the ninth Karachi Literature Festival held last week, Indian diplomat Mani Shankar had stated during a session placed around India-Pakistan relationship that he values Pakistan’s policy of seeking to reconcile through dialogue, an approach that he believed India had not yet espoused.

The statement has caused enormous backlash in Shankar’s home country, with one BJP leader going as far as filing a case of sedition and offense against the eliminated leader.

The case filed by BJP’s head of Kota district OBC wing, Ashok Choudhary, has been admitted by the additional chief judicial magistrate court in Kota, with the hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

The case has been filed under sections 124(A), 500 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code, with Shankar’s statements described as an expression of love for Pakistan and pride for Islamabad not instigating talks with New Delhi.

In the petition filed against Shankar, Chaudhary states, “the statements in favor of Pakistan have deeply hurt my patriotism and passionate sentiments for my country.”

Imran Khan's Claim Of "Billion Tree Project" In KP Province , Termed A Hoax By Ex PTI Leader :D

Justice Wajih demands forensic evidence of billion tree project
ISLAMABAD: Former PTI senior leader and chairman Aam Log Party Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed has said there is no forensic evidence of planting over a billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to The News, Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed said this project needed to be audited and the KP government should provide forensic evidence of the Billion Tree Tsunami project. When asked what specific evidence Justice Wajih had on the basis of which he had given statement on social media that he could destroy Imran Khan and his party, he said he would not go into detail. However he said he gave this statement to a question of PTI follower that Imran Khan should have started a campaign against him.
Earlier in a series of tweets, the former PTI leader while responding to queries of his followers on social networking website said, “Imran Khan is a good salesman but politics isn’t a trade.” He said he had been continuously saying that there was no forensic evidence of billion trees in KP and now that cat was out of the bag.
“I have all along been saying that there was no forensic evidence of planting over a billion trees in KP. Now the cat is out of the bag: only 240 million planted, rest is juggling. Unsurprisingly, it’s a shady exercise. IK, good salesman but Siasat ain’t Tijarat”, tweeted Justice (R) Wajih. One of PTI followers commented on Justice Wajih’s social media post that to him even 240 million trees was a lot. According to this PTI follower they are with Imran Khan and he (Justice Wajih) should not try to be so cynical. Immy "appears" to be a "teflon politician". Nothing seems to stick to him. His popularity, due to his "image" appears to be high among the Aam Abduls

A 55-gramme gold crown was presented to Maryam Nawaz, daughter and political heir apparent to deposed premier Nawaz Sharif, upon her arrival at a public gathering in Sheikhupura, Punjab on Sunday. Approximately worth Rs1.3 million, the crown is embellished with a giant Ruby and diamonds. It is intended to be a gift from local traders to the former first daughter. What is the quid pro quo here
