No the circus is actually a big tourist draw and useful for our GDP, as well as a compare-and-contrast with the monochrome world on the other side, the depression there accentuated by the setting rays of the sun which envelopes them in a shadow while giving us the last few rays before the day is done. We have had this discussion before on BRF.
Anybody that visits Golden Temple, Durgiana Mandir, Ram Tirath mandir (where Luv-Kush were born) and various museums (Jalianwala Bagh, partition museum, Virasar-e-Jang-e-azadir for example) the nationalistic fervor gets arises and they tend to visit Wagah Border.

Punjab tourism has been developed (by Bagal's off course) along this way

1. Religious tourism (Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzade, Banda Bahadur, etc)
2. Independence of India museums along the main GT road.
3. Food tourism (Various dhabas and "Haveli's" all along the GT road)., there is even a Pakistani food restaurant at Wagah (off course operated by Indians but they have menu where they claim is "Lahore type food" (There is no difference between Lahore or Amritsar food except for beef).

Golden Temple is among the top 5 tourist attractions in India
https://www.planetware.com/tourist-attr ... ia-ind.htm

On an average weekend in Amritsar people see more non-Sikh tourists from outside (all over India) than Punjabis. Tourism is huge in/around Amritsar. Pakistan off course is trying to copy India but infrastructure on their side is peanuts compare to us. They don't get that many international tourists.
Amritsar has Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Radisson (3 hotels) and many 3-4 star hotels.

The 49-year-old has been suffering for weeks from complications stemming from a pacemaker and stents implanted in his heart.

Another Baki for Indian visa on medical grounds. Nissan Motor Suar needs to take Suo Moto action against the stent and pacemaker manufacturers and heart daaktars/quacks in Pakistan.

China reassures Pakistan on ties ahead of Xi's meeting with Modi

BEIJING: China on Monday reassured Pakistan that relations between the two countries were as firm as ever and would “never rust”, ahead of a meeting this week between President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that could unnerve Islamabad.

China and Pakistan like to call each other “all weather friends” and their traditional close ties have long been viewed with suspicion by Pakistan’s neighbour and traditional enemy, India.

But Modi has tried to reset relations with Beijing after a years of disagreements over everything from their border to exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, and will hold an informal summit with Xi on Friday and Saturday in China.

China will continue to firmly support Pakistan, its top diplomat, State Councillor Wang Yi, told Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif at a meeting in Beijing.

“We are ready to work together with our Pakistani brothers to undertake the historical mission of national rejuvenation and achieve the great dream of national prosperity and development,” Wang said. “In this way, our iron friendship with Pakistan will never rust and be tempered into steel.”

There was no mention of the Xi-Modi meeting in comments made in front of reporters.

Or asks for a Hindu heart like this paki.

Pakistan hockey hero seeks heart transplant in India
Pakistan´s World Cup winning field hockey goalkeeper Mansoor Ahmed Monday reached out to India for help in securing a heart transplant
"I may have broken a lot of Indian hearts on the field of play by beating India in the Indira Gandhi Cup (1989) and in other events but that was sport", Ahmed told AFP.
"Now I need a heart transplant in India and for that I need support from the Indian government".
Ahmed -- said the visa could be a lifesaver.
Humanity is paramount and I too would be obliged if I get a visa and other help in India
Doesn't he know that Hindus have no heart?

Yes sir, indeed. You had provided some nice photos earlier on BRF of these tourist sites as well. That's why I said we have had this discussion before :) ; at that time I didn't reply to you but this time thank you for the post, this is very useful information, and indeed a great step by the Punjab/Central governments.

I hope they make the temple towns of South India also overhead wire free and developed along the lines of the Golden Temple.
