Pakis Now Reaping The "Benefits" For Their Lop- Sided Policies In The Inra Ummah Struggle

Pakistan responds to the missile attack on Saudi causing casualties
June 10, 2018

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has strongly condemned the latest Houthi militia missile attack on Jazan and expressed deep concern at the sad news of three casualties in the attack. In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson said Pakistan reiterates its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threats to its territorial integrity and against the Haramain Sharifain.
Earlier, Houthi militias in a missile attack killed three civilians in Saudi Arabia's Jazan province. The Spokesman of Coalition Col. Turki Al-Malki said projectile was launched to deliberately target civilians.

Pakistan has always portrayed itself ( wrongly IMO !) as a honest broker between the Sunnis and the Shias . Then they sent the Anti- Shia Raheel to Saudia to fight against the Yemenis !

Rude Shock For The Pakis ! Sulplise Sulplise ! CPEC Is Not A Gift- Chini Official

'CPEC is not a gift': Professor Jia Yu at the CPEC 2018 Summit
By Dr. Jia Yu

THE economic relations between the two countries have been phenomenal, especially since the turn of the century. Early economic cooperation was based on political and security interests, like Karakoram Highway, nuclear capability, arms trade etc. Also, it was focussed on energy and mining, but there is now a need for diversification. Pakistan has to take advantage of China’s rise on the global scene. There is a tendency towards having even better economic relations based on market forces and there is a lot of under-exploited potential. Pakis can flex their Islami muscles on the coat-tails of the atheist Chinese
When it comes to win-win cooperation, of course there is a lot at stake for both countries. Pakistan’s interests lie in promoting growth, private sector investment, employment, exports, technology and transfer of skills as well as in the relocation of Chinese firms. China’s interests lie in overseas production bases, new export markets, energy cooperation, and its need for production capacity relocation.
So, Pakistan- specially Gwadar - is essentially going to be a Chinese re-supply base. And probably a sub headquarter for the Chinese firms to deal with Middle East and European customers . And of course to unload the surplus Chini maal into the Paki domestic market to capture market share from the domestic producers . Did not know that this is what the Pakis were signing into , when they went gung-ho about the CPEC
A successful execution of CPEC will ensure economic progress and stability for both the countries, particularly along the border region.
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a $900 billion investment, with finance channels targeting green development. It connects more than 60 countries, 60pc of the global population, 30pc of global GDP, and 35pc of global trade.CPEC, a central link of BRI, cuts 10,000 miles of shipping by sea, and connects ports from Shanghai to Africa and Europe through Gwadar.
So, there goes the Paki assumption that China will "defend" Pakistan against "Indian agression" :D
If things work out smoothly, Pakistan could use the FDI in its power and transport infrastructure and then in the manufacturing sector with the experience of leveraging SEZs to unlock this trio’s potential for rapid gains in job-rich industrialisation. This can be done without unrealistic pre-requirements as the work to lay the foundations for industrialisation has already begun.
Again what she is saying is that CPEC is not a "gift horse". The Pakis will have to WORK !!!
The potentials are outlined below along with policy options needed to convert them into actions. At regional level, Pakistan has been growing steadily in terms of GDP per capita since 2010, according to the World Bank. Investors are very keen to a growing economy. Consistent growth of purchasing power (GDP per capita) really matters for domestic consumption; therefore the growth rate must be maintained to catch up with competitors.Pakistan is one of the world’s largest reservoirs of human capital and has a tremendous potential consumer base. In 2016, the country was home to 193,203,476 people, being the world’s 6th most populous country. World Economic Forum estimates that it will be among the top five populous countries in the world by 2060.
Water, food, power, education, shelter etc etc - who is going to "take care" of these basic needs. And of course, there is the Mullah factor to "worry about"
However, a large population is necessary but not sufficient to attract investors. The population has to be equipped with adequate skills to meet industrialisation needs. Effort is also needed to attract global buyers.Thirdly, China and Pakistan have long hailed each other as “all-weather friends”, or “iron brothers” as close as “lips and teeth” in the words of The Economist. There is already solid trust between the two countries, but the Pakistani officials need to visit China more often to convince the private investors for investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Already the Chinese have grabbed Paki market in some sectors , so what "private investment opportunity is she talking about ?
The CPEC will improve road, air, sea, and energy infrastructure. It will ensure land, sea and air security. It will enhance trade and investment facilitation and will establish free trade areas that meet high standards, maintain closer economic ties, and deepen political trust. Also, it will enhance cultural exchanges and promote mutual understanding, peace, and friendship between the people of the two countries. :((
Having said that, the CPEC should not be considered just a ‘gift’ from China, but the Pakistani government should also establish an FDI Advisory Board that shall promote the new image of the country. This includes visiting China more often and ensuring that investors understand the opportunities and benefits available under the CPEC.
Cut ties with Massa, forget about the Islamic Ideology . Is this what she is suggesting
There are six steps to identify the right industries, as narrated by Prof. Justin Lin. They include identifying countries with consistent growth, with GDP per capita three times as Pakistan’s or was at the same level as Pakistan 30 years ago.
So, she is again "hinting" that Pakistan hitch its economic wagon to the Chinese mother -ship
Development can start from ‘low-hanging fruit’ through SEZs. The government should attract first movers to invest and help the pioneers succeed.CPEC should not be taken for granted. Proactive and systematic approach is needed for attracting investors, together with strong market factors.Despite long-term and solid trust at the government level, more mutual dialogues and exchanges need to be enhanced in the private sector. Let the peoples get to understand each other.CPEC and SEZs are open for all investors, including those from other countries beyond China.

My take: Under the gamechanger CPEC , Pakis will be the "wage-earners" while the profits will go to the Chinese ! ( But only if the Pakis "work" and not goof off as they have been doing for the last 71 years !)

Can Someone Tell This "Uneducated" Paki Hero That It Is NOT Ok To Keep A Lion As A Pet!

Shahid Afridi sparks social media outrage over photo of 'pet lion'
June 10, 2018

The cricketer took to Twitter to post what he thought would be a sweet post about family time and being kind to animals. He shared pictures of himself lovingly feeding a baby deer and of his daughter doing his victory pose... in front of a chained lion.

Image
Too young to be under the "strict purdah"? Where is the Begum - under strict purdah ?
Many were outraged by not only Afridi's alleged violation of animal rights but also his lack of safety precautions:
He needs to be "reported" not only to national authorities , but to international authorities as well !!! But to be fair to this "showbaaz", keeping exotic pets is a favorite pastime of "important Pakis" . Ganja Sharif has a private zoo - and if rumours are to be believed - strange and exotic animals are birds are kept there !

That is one emaciated, sorry-looking lion. It probably wishes it was fed to other lions and put out of its misery. BTW, where did afridi get that animal from? Ebay (or as its known in bakiatn, abay)? Per my googling, there are no real "lions" in bakistan. The last wild one was shot in 1843. Ganja sharief has a dog painted to look like a lion.

Two 'highly educated' militants freedom fighters among three arrested by CTD in Karachi

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police on Monday claimed to have arrested three suspects with links to banned outfits, two of whom were said to be "highly educated".
One of the detained men had remained a faculty member at a public university in Dera Ismail Khan while another had graduated from a 'prestigious' institute in Karachi. The third suspect is a religious scholar who provides online courses of the Holy Quran.

Immy Off To Umrah With The Peerni- On A Chartered Flight From An Paki Air Force Base!

Imran Khan heads to perform Umrah after brief obstruction at Nur Khan airbase
Image
Immy And "Friend" . Peerni under Purdah

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan proceeded to Saudi Arabia after his close confidante Zulfi Bukhari was granted permission by the Interior Ministry to travel for Umrah.According to a notification issued by the Interior Ministry on Monday, the immigration authorities were ordered to “grant one-time permission to Bukhari for a period of 06 days” to go on religious pilgrimage. The development came after Bukhari was stopped from travelling to Saudi Arabia today along with party chairman Imran Khan.
"Anything goes" ( crook, no crook, murderer, child molester, sexual harasser, etc etc) under the all -umbrella reason of Malsi
According to well-placed sources, the London-based magnate was set to fly to Islam’s holiest land from Rawalpindi via a charter flight along with Imran and his wife Bushra Maneka, but was stopped from boarding the flight as his name was on the Exit Control List (ECL).
So, this London "guy" has a "lot of dough" to charter a flight from Pindi to Mecca !!. And the Kaptaan is just tagging along to "preserve" the privacy of the Peerni ? Burkha comes off after take off ? Wonder , what is the quid -quo-pro
The charter flight was ready to take off from Nur Khan airbase, however, travel restrictions on Zulfi delayed the departure.PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that Zulfi Bukhari has left for Saudi Arabia.
Imran Khan and his wife are expected to return back to Pakistan ahead of Eid ul Fitr and the primary reason behind Zulfi Bukhari’s troubles is the fact that he owns offshore firms and the National Accountability Bureau has launched investigations against him.
Wonder, how Immy the Playboy is going to "enjoy" Eid in the cultural desert of The Land Of The Sand , unless he has something going on behind the back- and the knowledge - of the so-called pious Peerni .

PS: Just a word of caution to the Peerni. The Saudis - with their strict Wahabi ways do not believe in the hocus pocus of number reading, palm reading , astrology etc etc . Hope she does not become another "Zaid Ham-Eid"

What Was Previously "Celebrated" In Pakiland As "Shab-e-Baraat" ( Night of Revelation !) Has Now Become A Casualty Of The Ascendancy Of Wahabism And Is Fancifully Dressed As "Laylat-al - Qadr " To Appease The Arab Ummah

Laylat al-Qadr: The night of significance, prayers And seeking forgiveness

PS: Same as "khuda hafiz" became "Allah Hafiz" - to appease the Saudis. Strangely , all this "window dressing" measures have not made an iota of difference to the arrogant Saudis . Still , they keep their door firmly shut to the Pakis, deport them back by the thousands, and utter sweet nothings when they want something done

Paki Rupee Drops To Record Low Against The Dollar ! . Where Is The Bottom Line - Rs 150

Rupee weakens as US dollar hits record high Rs121 in interbank market

KARACHI – The US dollar surged to a record high against the Pakistani Rupee in the interbank market on Monday, touching Rs121.The greenback, which was previously being traded at Rs115.63, increased by Rs5.38, depreciating the already suffering rupee in the interbank market, according to foreign exchange dealers.
A widening current account deficit and increasing imports have resulted in the surge, the experts said, adding that the strengthening dollar will cause trouble for Pakistan’s economy. No kidding !
In March, the US dollar had recorded Rs4.93 surge, reaching Rs115.50 in the interbank market. Earlier, it had touched Rs116 in the open market. The value of the Pakistani Rupee had faced a four per cent decrease in the interbank market due to increasing rate of the dollar.
Cancel the four day Eid holiday to make it one day and see the dollar decline against the Paki Rupee. Guaranteed

Bakistan is one step closer to becoming the promised land.

Though I don't particularly like suffering of other life-forms, we have to remember Karachi is a city of Muhajirs. These people are the reason behind partition.

More padha-lkha bakistan issues.

Students charged with sedition ‘for solidarity with PTM’ include PhD, MPhil scholars

At least 15 of the 37 youngsters held at Adiala Jail on serious charges inlcuding sedition are enrolled in various graduate programmes at leading public-sector univeristies in the federal capital.
most of these youngsters hail from Pashtun-populated areas of Balochistan and are enrolled either at Quaid-e-Azam University or at the International Islamic University.
They include highly accomplished individuals like Habib Kakar, who hails from Loralai district of Balochistan and is an alumunus of the prestigous Fulbright scholarship programme of the United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). Kakar returned to Pakistan after recently completing his masters in Agricultural Studies.
...pursuing a PhD programme at the QAU’s Physics Department on a merit scholarship
...enrolled in an MPhil programme at the university’s Pakistan Studies Centre
These students were picked up by the police after a protest held in the federal capital to condemn the June 3 violent attack on unarmed civilians by armed members of an aman committee in Wana, the headquarters of the South Waziristan Agency.

Someone Playing A Cruel Joke On The R.A.P.E.S ? : Electricity Run Car Coming To "Power Hungry" Pakiland.

Rahmat Group is Launching Electric Cars in Pakistan This Year

The world – slowly but steadily – is moving towards a sustainable future and this means that the automobile shift will be towards emission-free cars. The global market for electric cars will reach 35% in the coming two decades.
And Pakis do not want to "miss the boat on the action"
Anticipating a huge demand in the humble Pakistani market as well, Rahmat Group is bringing electric cars to Pakistan.
The Group has signed as much as 14 technical collaboration agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with different Chinese companies in the recent months.( Under CPEC "umbrella" ? A senior Chini official has "warned" Pakis that CPEC is NOT a gift ! )
s per the reports, Rahmat Group will partner with two Chinese manufacturers to turn its plans into a reality.
The government recently reduced taxes on electric vehicles and Rahmat Group plans to take the lead in making the most of it. :((

PS: File under "Bullshit talks" , "action walks" ! Rehmat Group would be better off investing in "water-run" cars production !!!

"Cross Eyed" CJP (Ex !) Makes Good On His Threat To Demonize Imran Khan Over The Sita White Scandal

Sita White scandal: Imran Khan’s nomination papers for NA-243 Karachi challenged

ARACHI – An application challenging the nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in the pretext of the Sita White case was filed with the returning officer hours after the PTI chief filed nomination papers from NA-243 Karachi on Tuesday.
After the papers were challenged, scrutiny of Khan’s nomination papers was postponed till June 19, ( So, he can "enjoy" Eid with the Peerni in the cultural desert of Saudia !) which is the last date for the process.
The cricketer-turned-politician is contesting from five constituencies: NA-26 Bannu, NA-61 Rawalpindi, NA-95 Mianwali, NA-131 Lahore and NA-243 Karachi.
Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Chaudhry had claimed a few days earlier that he would challenge Imran for violating Article 62 (1)(f) of the Constitution citing the same Sita White scandal and Imran’s alleged daughter Tyrian White; the current appeal has not been filed by the former top judge.
But maybe instigated by him or his henchmen

Immy's Cheap Publicity Stunt In Medinah

Imran Khan comes out of plane barefooted as he reaches Madinah

LAHORE – Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, has again become a social media sensation after his video of coming out of an aeroplane without shoes after reaching Madina went viral. In the video and pictures circulating on social media including YouTube and Facebook, the PTI leader can be seen wearing grey socks without shoes as he emerged from a chartered plane at an airport in the Kingdom.

Image
Immy , sans shoes ( or Peshawari Chappal ! ). Peerni M.I.A
Social media users remarked that Khan carried out this action in order to show respect for the land where the tomb of Prophet (PBUH) is situated. And this, from a "guy" who has no hesitation is sending a picture of his "private parts" via social media to gain the favours of Paki Ayeshas ! Give your readers a break and do not publish this kind of rubbish
Imran Khan proceeded to Saudi Arabia along with his wife Bushra Maneka and a close confidante Zulfi Bukhari on Monday to perform Umrah through a chartered flight.
Billi choae ko kha kar, Haj pe challi !
As the plane touched down the airport in Madinah, the PTI chief and others were received by Kingdom’s officials.
Later, they headed to Roze-e-Rasool in Masjid-i-Nabvi where they spent the 27th night of Ramazan and offered prayers. They are expected to reach Makkah tomorrow to perform Umrah. Imran Khan and his wife are expected to return to Pakistan before Eid ul Fitr.
So, Eid - Thank God Allah- will not be "celebrated" in the empty "cultural desert" of Saudia , but in the "fertile cultural desert of Pakiland". It is more like a "flying visit" then

Psychological Warfare Against Ganja Nawaz And Family Continues Unabated

Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif likely to be put on ECL: Sources
June 11, 2018

ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry is to decide on putting Sharif family name on the ECL as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday requested the Ministry of Interior to place former prime minister Nawaz Sharif , daughter Maryam Nawaz , and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar's names on the Exit Control List (ECL).This is NAB 's second letter on the matter. The anti-graft body in a letter on Feb14 had put forward the same request.

Image
NAB in its Feb 14 letter, dispatched two letters to the ministry, one asking for Nawaz Sharif to be placed on ECL citing him being an accused in the Azizia Mills reference, Flagship reference, and Avenfield properties reference. In the second letter, it requested to place Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her husband Captain (retired) Safdar to on the ECL as both are accused in the Avenfield properties reference.

Ganja Sharif and his daughter have been "permitted " to proceed to London to see the ailing Kulsoom ! A vicious "demonization campaign" is underway in Paki media to paint Ganja as a traitor, friend of Dushman India , etc etc

Paki General Elections: Well Known Lothario Challenged By A 100 Year Old Woman !

100-year-old woman to stand against Imran Khan in Bannu's NA-35
Image
Immy And " The Challenger"

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan could face tough competition in the contest for NA-35 seat during the July 25 general election: in the face of a female centenarian.
100-year-old Hazrat Bibi has decided to challenge the PTI chief in the constituency that covers Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Besides NA-35, Bibi has submitted nomination papers to compete for the provincial assembly seat of PK-89 in Bannu. She will stand in the poll as an independent candidate.
"I will pay extra attention to education for girls if I end up succeeding," Bibi, who is a known personality in her area, promised.
NA-35 is one of the most populous constituencies in KP with a population of 1,167,892.

The conservative voters of KP Province would rather cast their ballot for a local Pashtun khatun , than for a well known international romeo , who bills himself as as a full blooded Pashtun , although "everyone knows" that he is NOT one

Dubai Is The "Parking Place" For Paki Black Money !

Report describes Dubai real estate as money-laundering haven
AP
War profiteers, terror financiers and drug traffickers in recent years have used Dubai's real-estate market as a haven for their assets, a new report released on Tuesday alleges. The report by the Washington-based Center for Advanced Defense Studies, relying on leaked property data from the city-state, offers evidence to support the long-whispered rumors about Dubai's real-estate boom.
In Pakistan, authorities believe citizens invested $8 billion in Dubai's property market over four years, possibly to evade taxes, officials said in 2017.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif suggested on Tuesday a Singapore summit-style dialogue between arch-rivals Pakistan and India to bring peace in the region. “If the United States and North Korea can return from the brink of a nuclear flashpoint, there is no reason why Pakistan and India cannot do the same, beginning with a dialogue on Kashmir whose heroic people have resisted and rejected Indian occupation,” he said in a tweet hours after US President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong Un signed a historic pact between the two nations.
The caveat is of course, "solving the jugular vein of Pakistan" ( AKA Kashmir ), without which the fauj will not even touch him with a ten foot pole , now that Ganja is being demonized as an Agent of India
The younger of Sharif brothers said the Singapore Summit should set a good precedent for Pakistan and India to follow. Ever since the start of Korean War, the two nations have been at odds with one another, both threatening to use military force with their nuclear arsenals facing each other, he added.
“It is time for comprehensive peace talks in our region. The international community must focus on the peace process in Afghanistan. The dialogue between Pakistan and India over Kashmir should also resume so that the long-festering Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with UN resolutions,” he further said in the concluding tweet.
So, after "waiting" for 71 YEARS, the Pakis are still pinning their hopes on the UN. Better do it, before India becomes a permanent member of the UN Security Council

New Book On Kargil War: ( 1) Ganja Caved In To Clinton's Demand (2) Clinton Reneged On His "Promise" To "Help" Pakiland Solve Kashmir Dispute

Kargil episode: Clinton promised Nawaz to help restore Pak-India dialogue, excerpts from book

NEW DELHI: The then US president Bill Clinton had warned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif of the dangers of a war with India amid the Kargil crisis, claims Srinath Raghavan in his book ‘The Most Dangerous Place’.
The book details the history of US involvement in South Asia, discussing its engagement with India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It looks at how the US has been a crucial player in regional affairs even as South Asia experienced tumultuous changes, says foreign media.
Pakistan has always enlisted/ sought the help of foreign powers to help her "solve" its bilateral disputes with India !
According to the author, “On 3 July [1998], as Sharif flew to Washington, American intelligence found evidence that the Pakistanis were preparing the nuclear arsenal for possible deployment. Clinton’s officials, Talbot recalled, had ‘a sense of vast and unprecedented peril’. Memories of the Cuban Missile Crisis came flooding back. Ahead of the meeting with Sharif, National Security Advisor Sandy Berger told the President that the objective was not only to induce a Pakistani withdrawal but also to help Sharif stay on in power. The fact that the prime minister was coming to Washington with his family suggested that he was unsure of his position at home. Talbot added that Clinton must also bear in mind Indian sensitivities. The United States seemed poised to clear decades of mistrust in India about American attitude towards Pakistan.”
Bringing family , is not necessarily a sign that things were "tough" for Ganja . At that time, he was "Badshah" of Pakiland, and no one would have the guts to question if the whole extended family would tag along for a shopping cum sightseeing jaunt of Massaland, at taxpayer expense
“In their meeting on 4 July, Clinton emphasized that a Pakistani withdrawal could not be linked to an American diplomatic intervention in Kashmir. Sharif insisted that Pakistan would withdraw its forces provided India committed to settling Kashmir within a specific time frame. ‘If I were the Indian prime minister,’ Clinton shot back, ‘I’d never do that.’ In any case, he was unwilling to go down this route. The President warned Sharif of the dangers of sleepwalking into a major war: ‘I genuinely believe you could get into a nuclear war by accident.’ In their one-on-one session, Clinton brought up the Pakistani moves to prepare nuclear-armed missiles for deployment and warned that it could lead to catastrophe. Eventually, Clinton persuaded Sharif to issue a statement on restoring the status quo on the LoC. At Sharif’s insistence, Clinton agreed to add a line that once the sanctity of the LoC had been restored, he would take a personal interest in encouraging a speedy resumption of the dialogue agreed to in Lahore,” reads the book.
“By 26 July, the last of the Pakistani intruders had pulled back behind the LoC. Although Clinton was sincere in his assurance to Sharif, he was unable to deliver on his commitment. In October 1999, following a gauche attempt at forestalling a coup, Sharif was deposed by General Musharraf. US-Pakistan relations sank to a new low. So frayed were their ties that the following year Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat offered to Musharraf to intercede on his behalf with Clinton,” the writer adds.

So, Mush was right in a way that Ganja did cave in to Clinton's persuading powers !!! (AKA American Danda  )

Saudi Tough Times Translates Into Tough Time And Rude Shock For Long -Term Paki Settlers

For Pakistanis used to Saudi Arabia, home is not home any more
Ayesha Siddiqa
June 10, 2018
For Pakistanis used to Saudi Arabia, home is not home any more

quote]The idea of a homeland has consolidated so much in the modern human imagination that people often do not realise how fluid and overrated the concept is.
Homeland is equated with origin, which over years has turned into an important category to identify people. But homelands may often not be homes. People can equate lands with home that can have nothing to do with their origins. They may even be forced to return ‘home’, as in a place of their origin, and yet yearn for the ‘home’ they have had to abandon, and in the process never settle down emotionally.[/quote] Many authors have observed that Pakistanis are not comfortable ANYWHERE except in the land of Pakiland !
I began to understand the nature of a dichotomous identity when I first met Nadira Naipaul, the wife of V. S. Naipaul, in Bahawalpur during the late 1980s. She was then Nadira Mustafa, and lived there with her two children and her landowner husband, the late Iqbal Mustafa, warming the hearts of the town with her presence.
When I asked her about the place of origin of her family, I didn’t get an answer that I was used to: “My family is from Kenya.” She was not African, but that was very much ingrained in her identity.
After becoming Nadira Naipaul, The Lady has done an 180* !
Her’s was one of the many families who were forced to leave their homes to either settle in the West or come to countries associated with their origin. These people were part of the hundreds and thousands of Indians who were taken by the British as professional or unskilled workers to African colonies where they lived and prospered, even setting up their own businesses until Africa started to gain its independence.
Idi Amin, for instance, gave these people, who had British travel documents, the choice to either renounce these documents or leave in 90 days. For those who opted to stay, things didn’t get better either as they were up against discrimination.
While many people migrated to Europe and the Americas, some came to countries carved out of the Subcontinent. Yet, there is very little written about them or visualised in art in Pakistan about their personal traumas of that migration. To be fair, not a lot has been written even about the trauma of forced migration of Pakistanis from Bangladesh after 1971. Thus, it is quite probable that public discourse will ignore the evolving tragedy of hundreds and thousands of families currently undergoing (almost) forced eviction from Saudi Arabia.
So, the so-called "special relations" of Pakistan with the Saudis does not mean "anything" to the arrogant Saudis
These people have not been given any timeframe to leave but they know it is not longer easy to remain in the Kingdom where they spent decades and invested in a future. The decision by Riyadh to impose a tax of about 200 Saudi Riyals on every foreign individual, referred to in Arabic as ajnabi (stranger), has forced hundreds of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis to send their families home, if not return altogether. Now it is either men being torn from their families, or making a choice to live in Saudi Arabia legally struggling to survive in the face of the ‘Saudisation’ of the economy as per ‘Vision 2030’, rolled out by the new prince-king.
The Saudis are first looking after their own, and the Pakis are the "collateral damage" of the new policy !
Reportedly, General (retd) Raheel Sharif tried to give hope to some journalists he had invited from Pakistan at the end of last year to Riyadh. He had indicated that the military coalition would bring numerous benefits to Pakistan, such as the possibility of visa-free entry for member states of the Saudi-funded military coalition.
Actually, the opposite has happened . Saudis have tightened visa rules for the Paki Awaam and not for the Paki Elites ( like Imran Khan !)
While this may be his understanding, the facts speak otherwise. Saudi Arabia is not keen to import or retain un-skilled labour from Pakistan or other parts of South Asia. In 2017, about 64,689 Pakistanis were evicted from the Kingdom. While many of these people were fairly new migrants who had overstayed their visas or were working illegally, the situation is not good even for those who have lived there longer.
Recently a video surfaced on social media showing Paki pilgrims "openly begging" on the streets of Makkah, to the chagrin of those Pakis who are "settled" there !!!
Pakistanis or South Asian Muslims in general have a long association with Saudi Arabia. There were scholars and their families who had settled there during the 1930s and the 1940s. Even today, you find houses with the names al-Hindi and al-Sindhi written on the front. Later, as the Saudi state started to evolve with the discovery of crude oil, Pakistani experts played an important role in the evolutionary process. For instance, Pakistani economist Anwar Ali became the head of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) in 1957, an organisation that controls all the resources of the Kingdom and works as its central bank. He remained in the position until 1974. There were many other skilled workers often with an ideological affinity with the Jamaat-e-Islami who worked in various parts of the country.
That was then and this is now ! The Saudis have ( rightly ) decided that is high time that they "attempt to stand on their own two feet " . Now with "MBS gone upstairs" , it is anybody's guess whether this newly policy is (i) going to be implemented (ii) it is going to succeed !
A larger tranche of Pakistanis came during the 1970s and later. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto cultivated relations with the Arab Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia and Libya. Resultantly, there was space for workers from Pakistan who were happy to go to Saudi for good money and the blessing of being in the holy land.
In any case, Saudi society, dependent on oil revenue and not eager to do labour, was happy to enjoy the presence of this dedicated workforce. An old joke is that one of them was asked to define if love was pleasure or work. They responded that ‘it must be pleasure because if it were work we would have hired an Indian ( all Pakis are known as Indians in Saudia !) to do it.’ But it seems that KSA’s prince-king wants to change this by making his people work, and he is in a hurry to do so. Is he still alive
Vision 2030 aims to shift the emphasis from oil revenue to developing domestic production capacity which, in turn, means making Saudi’s work for their living. This shift has changed everything for the South Asians in the Kingdom.
IMO, it is a "pipedream" . It will not succeed . Work Ethic is a foreign word for them  !!!
The unskilled labour is finding it hard to earn money the way they used to. Today, the gold souk in Jeddah has far fewer shops run by South Asians than before. While the prince-king Muhammad bin Salman – popularly known by the short form of MbS – hopes to modernise society. He has also fuelled the frustration of the average Saudi by bringing out the inherent racism against what may be considered as “weaker races”.
In October, for example, a Bengali worker was accidentally run over in Taif by a Saudi driver whose intention was to ridicule a South Asian pedestrian. Naeem Qazi, who had moved to Saudi Arabia during the 1980s, said that running his grocery store had become difficult because even the Arab neighbours had begun to draw a distinction by not shopping there any more.
There was a time not too long ago when Qazi ran a shop and a departmental store and had a couple of big American cars to drive. Now with fuel prices going up and newer taxes being added, he can only afford to drive one pickup truck and that too not every day. His main concern when he surrendered his iqama (resident’s permit) was to salvage whatever he could because, as the family discussed between themselves, “Let’s sell when there is still someone to buy our things.”
Tough times for the locals spell tough times for the "poor Pakis"s !!!
Most Pakistanis leaving Saudi Arabia believe that, in the coming days, the situation would get even tougher for expatriates left behind. “The Arabs do not offer a good price for our things because they know it will come to them for free.” Yet Saudi Arabia feels more of a home than their homeland Pakistan. Naeem Qazi’s daughter Asma constantly complains to her cousins about Pakistan and how things are not so good. The food is expensive and impure and there is lots of corruption. The Saudi riyals they had earned somehow no longer buys them value for money. It was nicer then when they didn’t care about converting. Asma’s mother complained that: “Here, even the water is not pure – we used to have a good one-time meal in five riyals but this is so much more expensive!” She is not moved even when relatives remind her that her house in Jeddah was smaller than what they have in Pakistan.
Asma, who was born in Pakistan unlike her two other siblings, had moved to DG Khan in 2015 much before her family. Yet she embraces Saudi culture, wears the abaya, tells off her family if they visit Sufi shrines, and even opposes any celebration for her deceased father-in-law, decrying it as bidaa. She is amazed to see her cousins engaging in bidaa despite being educated. She had stopped a cousin, who had once come to Saudi Arabia for umrah, from touching the shroud of the Holy Ka’aba. She also believes that Pakistan has no morality as women roam around uncovered. When asked what she thought about the change in policy in Saudi Arabia, her response was that it was wrong as many people among her lot and especially in the Kingdom felt that a woman’s respect is in following her man or male members of the family.
She should stay patient in Pakiland. Slowly and surely , it will become another Saudi ( without oi. And without water as well !)
Asma and her sisters feel flustered at not finding it easy to just walk into a mosque in DG Khan. The younger lot, which moved back to Pakistan in mid-2017, remains nervous about the country of their origin. The brothers and sisters are far more comfortable speaking in Arabic.
Arabic is now become compulsory in Paki schools !
The family had never imagined returning to Pakistan. Nasreen’s family had lived in KSA since the early 1950s when her father-in-law migrated. Nasreen’s husband, born in Saudi Arabia, had not sought citizenship. He felt secure as he was a mutawi (member of the religious police), who had received his religious education in the Kingdom. He was even given a residence in Medina where he ran his general store. Forced to come to Pakistan, which is as foreign as any land, Nasreen’s husband struggles with language as Arabic is all he can speak.
"Religious police" will be recruited in Pakistan, once the country becomes fully Islamic in a couple of years . !!!
Many of these Saudi-Pakistani families believe that their stay in Pakistan is temporary and they will be able to return as soon as MbS realises his mistake ( MBS has not been seen since the last 2 months !) of trying to run the system through an inefficient local population. Even some of their Arab friends, who are probably frustrated with the rapid changes, believe that the new system cannot last and tell these people to hold on until they can return. This may be wishful thinking. However, an unfulfilled desire might also mean that these people could try to create their own Saudi Arabia in Pakistan for which there is a lot of potential. For these migrants, the Najdi culture is all they can relate to.

'Creeping coup' underway in lead-up to election, alleges Babar

PPP leader Farhatullah Babar on Tuesday alleged that there has been a 'creeping coup' against the civilian government in the lead-up to the 2018 election.Addressing a seminar organised by the Rawalpindi/Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) on freedom of expression and possible threats to the elections, the former senator noted that both democratically-elected governments which had completed their terms had sacrificed a prime minister each.
"A creeping coup has taken place against the authority of the civilian government. The coup has taken place very quietly before the election," he said."It is different from the martial law of the past, with two resulting outcomes: the civilian government exists, but has no authority; press freedom exists, but journalists have no freedom."
"All media has been controlled, whether it is social media, print media or electronic media. It is all happening very quietly," he told the seminar."The restrictions from the security establishment are the greatest. There are also restrictions from non-state actors and your rulers," he alleged. "The media is being attacked on all fronts."
Unless the media person has a British Passport, then they release her and feign ignorance that they attacked her
"When the 'Dawn leaks' controversy was published, it was said that it was against national security. A British newspaper reported on a secret garrison meeting earlier this year, yet no one is speaking about it," Babar complained.
The PPP stalwart also called for an international conference on the freedom of expression.
"Parliament should be asked to hold a public briefing on the matter, and those against whom allegations have been levelled should also attend the briefing."
"Political parties should, in addition to human rights agendas, present road maps for press freedom and protection of journalists," he suggested.
"The civilian and military establishments are not on the same page. They are on different pages. To close the divide, the Parliamentary Committee on National Security should play a role."Institutions that announce without any investigation that a journalist has undermined national security should be strongly protested against, and they should be told that if the journalist has done anything wrong, then due legal process should be adopted against them," Babar said.
"If I ask how a former army chief received 90 acres of land, a tweet will be published saying that I am trying to ruin civil-military ties," he said.
"I fear that deliberate attempts are underway to create discord among journalists. There will be attempts to break you apart," he warned. The former senator also called for amendments to be made to the existing contempt and cyber crime laws, and said that suo motu powers should not be abused to either reward or punish anyone.

Will Mush Bite. Or Will The Kammundu- With His SSG "Training" - Smell A Rat

SC orders Musharraf to return to Pakistan by 2pm tomorrow

LAHORE: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered former president Pervez Musharraf to return to Pakistan by June 14. The apex court on June 7 had ordered the former president to appear before the court and assured he would not be arrested upon appearance. Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar had said the apex court would pass an order ensuring authorities to not arrest Musharraf before his appearance in court.
. The ("Suo Moto") CJ of Pakistan would not have taken this "extra-ordinary step"- and stuck his Pakjabi neck out - unless he had the "seal of approval" from the Deep State ! This is another way of giving a message to Ganja, that YOU do not count in the equation , with reference to Mush !!!!
he chief justice was hearing a case filed by Musharraf in 2015 against the rejection of his nomination papers in the 2013 general elections. While hearing the case today at the Supreme Court's Lahore Registry, the chief justice said the former president should return to the country by 2pm on Thursday. "The verdict will be announced in compliance with the law upon Musharraf's failure to follow the orders," he said. The apex court noted that it was not bound to comply with any conditions set forth by Musharraf.
"Musharraf was assured he would get protection but we are not bound to issue a written assurance to him," said Chief Justice Nisar. "He [Musharraf] should come [to the court] if he is a commando," remarked the chief justice. "Like politicians, he should not keep claiming he will return."
Chief Justice Nisar further remarked that the scrutiny of Musharraf's nomination papers for the upcoming General Election 2018 would not be allowed if he failed to return to Pakistan. "What does Musharraf need protection from and what is he so afraid of?" remarked the chief justice. "How is a [brave] commando so afraid?"
This "publicity hungry" CJP, surely knows how to maintain his dignity, and the dignity of the Paki Supreme Court . He has his way with words and the gift of the gab !!
Musharraf's lawyer informed the court that his client was willing to face the treason charges if he was given the guarantee to be protected.
"My client is ill and a medical board has to examine him," the lawyer said. ( Was Mush on painkillers when he was dancing the bhangra at a Dubai night club  ) To this, the chief justice responded that the court would order the constitution of a medical board.
"Musharraf can come back to Pakistan in an air ambulance, and we will order the constitution of a medical board," remarked Chief Justice Nisar. Tit for tat. Between the two Pakjabis !
Musharraf has not visited Pakistan since leaving for Dubai in March 2016.
Mush, of course, is missing his "beloved Pakiland" in the cultural desert of Dubai !!!

Ganja's Grandson In Londonistan Participates In Paki Polo Meet In Bartania

Maryam’s son leads Pakistan polo team against Great Britain

LEMINGTON SPA: Pakistani student’s polo team took on Great Britain’s polo team here at the historic polo fields which provided a great day out to hundreds of people who watched the thrilling match.
The match between teams of Pakistan and Great Britain was organised by Schools and Universities Polo Association (SUPA).
Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s son Junaid Safdar led Pakistani team which consisted of Junaid Safdar himself from the University College London (UCL), Saif Noon from Royal Agricultural University, Sufi Haroon from University of Surrey and Taimoor Haroon from Royal Agricultural University.
Is he planning to return to Pakiland after studies there, or is he likely to involve himself in Ganja's financial gol-maal in Bartania , where his uncle resides
The match was won by Great Britain after a tough completion which lasted for an hour of four intense rounds. Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner Zahid Hafeez Chaudhary was chief guest at the occasion and he distributed prizes amongst the players for their individual and group performance.
Speaking to Geo News, Junaid Safdar said that although Pakistani team lost the match but the event overall was really great and “winning and losing is part of the game”. He said it was for the first time that Pakistani Universities have entered in competition at the international university level.
The deputy high commissioner added: “It is very important and positive to take part in the mainstream sports in Britain. The turnout of Pakistanis here is greart and it’s a good sign. Our students have performed very well and it is very encouraging for all Pakistanis. Organising such events is much needed and community gets to come together through these events, it shows integration and cohesion of our community in the society. Such activities play very important role for integration and enhancing positive image of Pakistan.” What "positive image", is he talking about . Pakis in Bartania are in the news - left and right- for the wrong reasons

Another "Money Walks, Bullshit Talks" News From Pakiland

Billion to be spent on restoring temples, gurdwaras: report

TAXILA: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) will be spending Rs1 billion on the maintenance and restoration of various temples and gurdwaras in order to make Sikh pilgrims more comfortable, ( First make the "few Sikhs" still living in Pakistan, "comfortable" , then worry about the pilgrims !) reported a local media outlet.
This was said by the board’s acting chairman, Tariq Khan Wazir on Monday.
Mr Wazir said ETPB is planning on relaxing the visa policy for Sikh pilgrims from across the world. The 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak will be observed next year in which over 20,000 pilgrims will take part. Will of course, include Pro- Khalistan Sikhs as well !

BANNU – A 97-year-old woman, Hazrat Bibi, is not more able to contest elections against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan due to financial constraints.Bibi, a lady hailing from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, had filed nomination papers for National Assembly’s NA-35 (Bannu) and K-P Assembly’s PK-89 (Bannu III) seats earlier this week as an independent candidate. But, the old woman could not be able to take part in the polls as she lacks funds to submit the security fee, set by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for National Assembly nomination papers, local media reported.
In Pakistan, one never knows the "true story". Maybe, she has been offered "consideration" by Immy's minions, and she changed her mind . This is the same Imran who has the audacity to go for the "small Hajj" , while rumours were swirling around him that he transmitted via social media , a picture of his private parts to a female MNA from his party !!
She lamented that the fee for National Assembly seat has been increased to Rs30,000 from Rs3000. Hazrat Bibi also highlighted that the election body has set Rs20,000 for provincial assembly election while it was Rs2000 in the past.“Failing to submit fee timely deprived me of the election battle,” she added. The strangely odd contestant is not a neophyte in the political realm as she has previously contested five elections as an independent candidate – she did not emerge victorious in any of her previous struggles.

Musharaff has Parkinson's? This is a new one. Until now he only claimed that he had 'heart condition' when in Pakistan which magically disappears when he goes out of Pakistan. Perhaps he is also suffering from Alzheimers.

I think that she is more afraid that IK may propose marriage to her, going at the rate he is, getting rid of his wives.
