The Drama Queen Of LollyWood And The Farce Of " A Happy Marriage"

Did Veena Malik quietly get divorced after drama on media? Veena finally breaks silence
LAHORE – Veena Malik has been known as the ‘Drama Queen’ of Lollywood, and she announced her departure from showbiz in 2013 after getting married to Asad Khattak. Yesterday she appeared as a guest at a Ramazan transmission on a national channel. While taking about her married life she revealed that she had filed Khula from her husband and now the couple has separated finally.
Let’s have a look at the video clip of the actress talking regarding her separation :
Last year, the couple was in news and headlines because of speculations regarding their divorce and complications related to the marriage, but it seemed as if things had been sorted out. However, it turned out that the couple had kept their divorce hidden from the media. Veena Malik left showbiz after marriage and didn’t make any public appearance until recently, but the actresses had disclosed her decision of taking Khula in yesterday’s talk show. So, the public until yesterday, were under the (false) impression that the "couple were happily married " , with Veena taking a couple of breaks to fly to Dubai with her "loving" family - hubby plus 2 kids ( for the weekend ) to relieve the stress in her life
While talking about her relationship, she shared: “I think that marriage is very delicate and sensitive relationship and as an artist, I just wanted to set an example for us and I did. ”
During the last few months before their separation, the couple shared some pictures where they can be seen hugging and kissing each other. But the good terms between the couple didn’t last long and the marriage has ended. Veena expressed the main reason of separation was the physical abuse and mental torture by her husband. The couple had two children, one son and one daughter.

One More Sign Of Chinification Of Pakiland . Chini Company Muscles Its Way Into The Paki Light Commercial Vehicle Market

Joylong set to launch light commercial vehicles in Pakistan
AHORE – Chinese auto manufacturer Joylong is all set to launch its light commercial vehicles in Pakistan. Jiangsu Joylong Automobile Co Ltd.’s local subsidiary, Joylong Pakistan, will launch Vans in Pakistan by importing CBU’s (completely built units). The company will bring four different variants of coasters and Hiace-like vans. Pakis are accumulating debt left and right as if there is no tomorrow
Rehan Meghani, Joylong Pakistan’s Chairman told media that they had decided to target the commercial aspect of Pakistan’s auto industry after thorough studies by both our Pakistani and Chinese counterparts. The variants we are offering have added features with half the price of currently available commercial vans; this will definitely break the monopoly of Japanese manufacturers, he said. Under the new auto policy 2016-21, many new automakers are coming into the country and are gearing up to launch new vehicles. Most likely the company will fall into Chini hands, like other companies in other industries. Local owners will buy themselves "out ", if the price is right !
Aside from Joylong, many companies such as Daimler AG has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Logistics Cell (NLC) ( FAUJI OUTFIT !) to assemble Mercedes-Benz trucks in Pakistan. The company is aiming to tap the pickup/truck segment of the market due to CPEC. CPEC -the magic elixir , the cure - all for all Paki ills

Pakistani industrialists reject new load-shedding schedule for Ramazan

But if you BELIEVE the statements Paki Ministers have made in the recent past , you would get the impression that LOAD SHEDDING was a distant memory

If This Narration In A Paki Sarkari Newspaper Is To Be Believed, Ex ISI Chief Asad Durrani And Ex RAW Head A.S. Daulat Are "Bosom Buddies"

ISI - RAW Chiefs Joint venture book, startling revelations made
May 21, 2018
ISLAMABAD - Theirs has been the most vicious of all relations -- one was a former chief of India's RAW and the other of Pakistan's ISI -- but their coming together in a first-of-its kind groundbreaking book of dialogues highlights that "all hope is not lost" as far as sub-continental relations are concerned.
Amarjit Singh Dulat, former Secretary of Research and Analysis Wing (1999-2000) and Asad Durrani, former Director General, Inter-Services Intelligence (1990-91), being the most unusual of counterparts as they are, could not meet in their home countries -- and therefore guided by journalist Aditya Sinha (the moderator of the dialogues in the book), the conversations took place in cities like Istanbul, Bangkok and Kathmandu. The Pakis "using" Daulat cannot be ruled out !
The result? Their meetings produced a total of over 1.7 lakh words and about half of these have made their way into "Spy Chronicles" (HarperCollins), scheduled to be launched here on Wednesday. Their conversations, Sinha notes, primarily dealt with "subjects that have long haunted South Asia, flashpoints that take lives regularly." The idea behind these dialogues was to take a deep dive into the politics of the subcontinent, "as seen through the eyes of two spymasters."
Syrupy words to boost the sales of the said book
The conversations throw light on Kashmir, and a missed opportunity for peace; Hafiz Saeed and 26/11; Kulbhushan Jadhav; surgical strikes; the deal for Osama bin Laden; how the US and Russia feature in the India-Pakistan relationship; and how terror undermines the two countries' attempts at talks.
The book was Dulat's idea and when the project was first mooted, Durrani laughed and said: "Even if we were to write fiction, no one would believe us."
Was Daulat required to take permission from GOI before he went ahead with the project . Was the Book vetted ( like in the USA ) to ensure that State Secrets are not divulged
The former Indian spy chief refers to his Pakistani counterpart as a "friend", noting that his straight-forwardness is striking.
"There is no bullshit; for him a spade is always a spade, which is at times disappointing for me. He has never hesitated to speak up or render help," Dulat writes in praise of Durrani.
On the other hand, Durrani points out that he "was born an Indian - there was no Pakistan then" and goes on to recall his early days when he grew up watching Indian movies, and keenly listening to cricket commentaries on the radio. Not sure if this is the famous "Taqqiya" talking here !
Dulat also reveals that when Narendra Modi was preparing to take the oath of office as Prime Minister in 2014, "two notables from Srinagar" suggested that the then Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif be invited as "he was keen to come". A senior Pakistani diplomat suggested against taking the risk because Sharif "might not be allowed to come to India". Dulat then dialled Durrani, whose response was unequivocal - "there was no reason for Nawaz Sharif not to come." The message was then passed along. "There was excietment in government, but the bigwigs wanted an assurance that Mian Saheb would come if invited," Dulat reveals. But the downside is that "poor Nawaz" has now been branded for life as an " Indian Agent "
In the opening chapters, the two spymasters dwell on the relveance of the book , speakign about their respective backgrounds as professional intelligence officers. The book also mentions a particlar incident of May 2015 when Dulat and his colleagues rescued Durrani's son Osman who was stranded in India. "The General called me six to seven times the next day, often asking the same thing....I told him... You believe in Allah and I have full faith in Waheguru, all will be well," recalls Dulat. ( See separate post on this !)
And finally when Osman left Mumbai, the General called and said: "Your faith in Waheguru helped Osman."
Dulat and Durrani also explore the universe of spying in the book; they deal with the perceptions of the ISI and compare it to the RAW .
Hope no Indian state secrets were divulged in this buddy-buddy joint collaboration
In this context, Durrani reveals that "the ISI probably learnt about" Osama bin Laden and "he was handed over to the US according to a mutually agreed process". Dulat maintains that the assessment from the Indian side "is the same. That he was handed over by Pakistan." But Pakiland's Echendee has since taken a hit due to this provocative raid by Massa !
The book further carries an interesting round of conversations on India's current National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, whose "iron fist" attitude towards Pakistan, according to Durrani, is a result of his experience with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad in the 1980s."In Ajit Doval's case it probably affected him in a way where he felt, 'Oh God, this country must be dealt with an iron fist'," Durrani notes. Dulat, on the other hand, describes Doval as "one of our outstanding operational guys".
It would be interesting to get Doval-ji's take on the bonhomie between the two heads :D
"The trouble, though, with people who are so much into themselves, is that they're lonesome and they stay aloof. In 'A Legacy of Spies' there's a relevant line that says, the trouble with spooks is that they find it difficult to invest in trust...Ajit is a guy who won't trust anybody," maintains Dulat. Can you trust the Pakis . Even Massa - who has been their "ally" for a long time now - is leery of their shenanigans
On the issue of Kulbhushan Jadav, Dulat says that if he was "really a RAW spy, then it's a pretty sloppy operation." Durrani on the other hand believes that the revealation about Jadhav must have been done to counter the Indian threat after the January 2, 2016 attack on the Pathankot air base. "What was the threat," asks Dukat. "That India is looking for links between Pathankot and our establishment. So we came up with a counter-argument that we know you've been doing this (in Balochistan)." Both Daulat and Durrani were not in the inside, so this could well be conjecture on both their parts !!!
However, both of them maintain that India and Pakistan should have been discreet about the matter, ensuring the exchange of spies in each other's custody. The book concludes with a section where both spy masters submit a roadmap for the way forward and then discus, often argue, about the points presented by each other.
Maybe, the book will sell a lot and both of them will make tons and tons of money and equally gain publicity ( TV Talk Shows and what not !) :D
The book has been published by HarperCollins but it was Chiki Sarkar, the publisher at Juggernaut Books, who suggested that it should be in a dialogue form to reach a wider audience and make it an interesting read.

Ganja, The Shrewd Dehati Politico Ups The Ante ( With A Poker Face !)

I am innocent and have no knowledge of Dubai or London properties
May 21, 2018
ISLAMABAD : Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif , while recording his statement in the Avenfield reference before the accountability court here on Monday, denied ownership of the London properties and told the court that he had not been privy [Making good use of his" legal" education at La-Whore University ( LLB !) ] to any transactions for the acquisition of the properties.
Nawaz and his family members are facing three references — Avenfield properties, Al-Azizia and Flagship Investment Co — filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) under the directives of the Supreme Court in its July 28, 2017 Panama Papers judgement. As long as his brother in law Dar ( also Ex FM of Pakiland ) has done a "good job" of hiding these "gol-maal" transactions, (due to Dar's f London CA training ) , Ganja has nothing to fear from these hounds of the NAB
The PML-N supremo, his daughter Maryam, and son-in-law retired Captain Muhammad Safdar, have been asked to record final statements in their defence in the references under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code and to produce, on record, anything contradicting the statements of the 19 prosecution witnesses in the case. Hope he has a good lawyer to guide him through the legal maze !
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir had prepared a questionnaire of 128 questions and handed it over to the counsel representing the Sharif family on May 16. According to the questionnaire, the court has asked Nawaz if he was the benami owner of Nescoll and Nielsen, the two offshore companies that were shown as having ownership of the Avenfield flats. Dar must be "watching" these proceedings with much keenness from the safe confines of his expensive London flat - a place where he will be protected by HMG !
Testifying before the court today, Nawaz said, “I was never involved in or associated with the acquisition of the London properties through any real or beneficial title.” Regarding the money trail of the London properties, Nawaz said, “I have never been a participant in or eyewitness to any of the transactions mentioned in Tariq Shafi’s affidavit.”
Ganja is getting more and more pro-active these days ! And he is assertive himself inspite of all the pressures he faces and the relentless effort by the Deep State to demonize him and his family
Shafi, a relative of Nawaz, in his affidavit claimed that he deposited 12 million dirhams in cash with the Qatari ruling family following the sale of the Gulf Steel Mills in 1980. In the affidavit dated Jan 20, 2017, which was also part of the concise statement submitted by Hussain Nawaz, Shafi stated that he had deposited the massive sum with Sheikh Fahad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al-Thani of Qatar, after receiving each instalment from Mohammad Abdullah Kayed Ahli. During his testimony, Nawaz said that he could not say anything about the documents his son Hussain had submitted in the apex court with regard to the London apartments.
Not telling the "truth" in the "Holy" Month of Ramazan is considered a "big sin" . Ganja should well be aware of that
Hussain is also accused in this case but has been absconding since the trial began. Hussein is the proud holder of HM's coveted Blue Passport , so the Paki Govt may might as well say goodbye to getting "some of the looted money" back into their own depleted Treasury, unless Imran Khan can pull some strings at Scotland Yard and get the Junior Ganja's citizenship revoked and send him packing to Pakiland
Responding to a question regarding his address to the nation and his speech on the floor of the National Assembly, Nawaz said, “I never stated on those occasions that I was ever a real or beneficial owner of the London flats. Rather, it has always been my constant stance that I was neither a real or benami owner of the Avenfield flats.” Ganja's" legal education " put to good use in keeping with his new aggressive persona !
In reply to a query relating to forensic expert Robert M. Radley, Nawaz said that Radley was not a “font expert” and that he had admitted in his statement that the Calibri font was available prior to its launch in 2007. Good training by his lawyer !
Earlier this year, the British forensic handwriting document examination expert had told the accountability court that at the time when the trust deed of the property was prepared in February 2006, the Calibri font only existed in a beta version and was not commercially available before January 2007.
Moving on to questions regarding the Gulf Steel Mills, Nawaz said that he does not directly know where the funds for the creation of the factory came from. “However, Tariq Shafi’s statement suggests that the Gulf Steel Mills were created through loans.” Nawaz testified that he was not aware of how Gulf Steel Mills ran and was not a witness to how it was sold, adding that his knowledge about the matter was based on hearsay. But did he not manage Abbaji's Rolling Mills in La-Whore - the source of the original wealth of the Sharif Clan !
“Tariq Shafi was neither named a suspect in these trials nor was he called in as a witness in the case,” Nawaz said during his testimony.“It is a reality that I was taken into custody on October 12, 1999. After that I was sent off to Saudi Arabia,” Nawaz said, adding that he is aware that his father Mian Sharif had made Hussain and Maryam Nawaz directors of Hudaibiya Paper Mills. “I also know that Hassan Nawaz was made a shareholder in the Hudaibiya Paper Mills by my deceased father,” he added. During his testimony, Nawaz expressed his reservations over the formation of the Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the selection of its six members. He claimed that the JIT head, Wajid Zia, had hired his own close relative to “produce fabricated evidence” against the Sharif family.
Nawaz also said in court that Bilal Rasool, another member of the JIT, is a close relative of former Lahore mayor Mian Azhar, while State Bank of Pakistan’s Amer Aziz was also a part of the investigation of the Hudaibiya Paper mills reference — which was quashed by the the Lahore High Court.Regarding the appointments of Brigadier Nouman Saeed of the Inter-Services Intelligence and Brigadier Kamran Khursheed of the Military Intelligence to the JIT, Nawaz said, “Their appointments were inappropriate with the obvious fallout on the JIT proceedings, given the civil-military tension that has plagued the country throughout its 70 year history.” Nawaz said that serious questions had been raised over NAB’s acquisition of the JIT report from SC as there was no record of the acquisition available with the apex court and the official who acquired it had not been included as a witness in the case. He added that following SC’s verdict in the Panama Papers case, the investigating officer was forced to file the references against him as he had no other options. Addressing NAB’s allegations that he had failed to appear despite being served a notice, Nawaz said that he never personally received the notice nor was there any evidence to prove that the security officer at his Jati Umra residence received it.He clarified that he directed his lawyers to file a reply after finding out about the notice through media. Nawaz also said that during the course of the JIT probe and the filing of the references, he was not given the right to a free trial as enshrined in Article 10A of the Constitution. The ousted premier, during his testimony, said the prosecution could not produce any evidence that links him to the London flats. The hearing has been adjourned until tomorrow when Nawaz will continue recording his statement. The six-month deadline set by the SC for the trial of Nawaz and his family members in the corruption references expired on March 7, following which the apex court has granted two more months to the accountability court of Islamabad to decide the three cases.

The "New And Improved "Assertive Ganja

Nawaz Sharif stands at Rostrum for four hours, denies almost everything
ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif answered to 47 questions, out of total 128, and will respond to remaining questions on Tuesday. He remained in the rostrum for four hours and answered to the questions.
Responding to the questions, he said that he had no connection with the Dubai Factory and Al-Azizia Mills. “I have never said that I have connection with Avenfield Property. I did not own the bearer shares of Nelson and Nescol company and they had never been with me,” he said. Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar were also present in court.
Support from the "heir apparent" would have made a difference :D
In response to the first question, Nawaz Sharif read out the details of his public offices and said that the MLEs written by the JIT have not been presented in court. “Hence the verdict should not be pronounced on their basis,” he said. The former prime minister said that the JIT was formed on the order of the Supreme Court, while the constitution gives him the right of fair trial under Article 10. “The SC verdict affected my right of the fair trial. I have objection to the JIT members and I recorded it earlier,” he said.
Before he goes under, ( and lands in Adiala !) am pretty sure that Ganja will divulge "lots of state secrets" like the Mumbai Attack and other "juicy gossip" of the Deep State

Pakistan's comments on wanting peace will be taken seriously, says Indian defence minister
India's Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that India will take any "comment on wanting peace" by Pakistani officials "seriously"
Seriously. Has she read Kautilya's Earth-e-Shashter? Her statement goes against every advice in the book.

What rescue? They guy simply had a flight booked out of a different airport from the one that he had a visa for. Worst case, he would have to wait some more time till he was re-booked through the next available flight from the city that he was in.

And yet the Lutyens vermin fell all over themselves to give the Paki scum special favours and are then bragging about it as though it was some kind of special achievement or display of humanity that rose above the Paki hating hoi polloi of India.

WITH THEIR SNOUTS IN THE TROUGH THE LOOT GOES ON!

Retirement benefits: Outgoing MNAs to win lucrative perks

ISLAMABAD: In a highly controversial move the outgoing federal government is all set to entertain the lawmakers even after their retirement by awarding lucrative perks and privileges, which are entitled to government servants of grade-22.

Recently the National Assembly passed a resolution for the formation of a forum to resolve the issues of former members of national assembly. Ex-MNA of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Zamrud Khan was nominated convener of the forum.

Seemingly the parliamentary parties had no issue with this forum when resolution in this context was adopted by the House.

However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had their reservations over the person who was supposed to head the forum.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed had moved the motion for setting up a forum headed by Zamrud Khan which would seek welfare of ex-MNAs.

While speaking to The Express Tribune Aftab elaborated the salient features of the forum and said that “ex-MNAs would be entitled to medical facilities” adding that the move also intends to give them “facility of rest houses after their retirement.”

He said the purpose of this forum is to give facilities to ex-MNAs that are enjoyed by the secretaries of grade-22. “The forum would monitor the day to day issues being faced by the ex-MNAs and it will attempt to address these issues,” Ahmad stated.

However, the financial impact of this forum could not be learnt by this correspondent.

PTI leader Dr Shireen Mazari told The Express Tribune that her party has no issue with the forum if it has no major financial implications.

While responding to a query why she had opposed the move she said it seemed that the ruling party had wanted to facilitate a single specific person by appointing him as the head of the forum.

“Let the ex-MNAs decide who they want to lead the forum instead of appointing someone directly out of way,” she added.

Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal’s (JUI-F) Naeema Kishwar Khan was of the view that during presentation of the resolution, “lawmakers were not informed about primal characteristics of the forum.”

This is pertinent to mention here that government employees go through certain criteria to become a grade-22 employee and for that they have to complete more than 30 years of service.

The grade-22 official is required to serve anywhere in the country as and when required during his/her service period.

The MNAs, on the other hand, are not government employees and representing the people is considered as an honour and not an employment.

Unlike a parliamentarian a government servant can be posted anywhere not only across the country but also AJK, G-B, FATA and its adjoining belt which is full of rugged mountains and hilly terrains.

Moreover, the parliamentarians are not supposed to report any higher authority as the civil servants do.

They follow a complete chain of command with outmost discipline and their Annual Confidential Reports are written by the superior on yearly basis.

Any official can be promoted or demoted on the basis of the performance evaluation reports. Besides, there is no specific criterion for the parliamentarians.

The government officials generally wait for decades for government accommodations but the parliamentarians are lodged in Parliament lodges and MNAs hostels in the heart of Islamabad.

What would be the financial implications of this decision is yet to be ascertained but perhaps it would not be lauded by the general public at large.

Cheers Image

FATF "Breathing Behind" Pakistan's Back

Govt racing to meet FATF demands before June
SLAMABAD: Pakistan is putting the finishing touches to its action plan with proposed measures for combating money laundering and terror financing with the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to chart its way forward once it is placed on the grey list by the global watchdog in June.
Report "manufactured" in Sialkot
A compliance report has been submitted by the government to the Asia-Pacific Group (APG) — a sub-group within FATF — detailing the steps taken thus far and those that will be taken in the future to bring Pakistan’s financial, regulatory and legal landscape into compliance with the watchdog’s requirements. [/cHave the "I",s between dotted, and have all the "t",s been crossed off
[color]
On Friday, a meeting was convened at the Foreign Office to review the proposed actions which are to be discussed with APG joint working group in Bangkok next week. This was the last in a series of meetings taking place within the government as officials race to meet the June deadline by when Pakistan will be placed on the FATF grey list. Does it mean that if the deadline is missed, Pakistan will automatically be "upgraded" to the dread "Blacklist"
A senior official in the finance ministry told Dawn that a delegation from Pakistan would depart within the next few days for consultations with the APG’s Joint Working Group in Bangkok. That meeting will discuss the steps proposed by Pakistan to be taken after June to exit the grey list. The report has been drawn up by the Financial Monitoring Unit, a department housed in the State Bank of Pakistan, according to sources with knowledge of the matter.
Bangkok is a well known "flesh spot". Hope that the delegation does not indulge in any anti Islamic "extra - curriculum" activities and bring back some "unwanted" STD's
The FATF earlier sent an email to the SBP highlighting its concerns over the amnesty scheme introduced by the government in its last budget. The email points out that Pakistan is required to inform FATF before announcing any such scheme. To address their concerns, Pakistan included a provision to specify that ‘proceeds of crime are not eligible’ for the amnesty scheme.
Caught red handed . Trying to circumvent the rules :D
The senior official confirmed to Dawn that the placement of Pakistan on the grey list was set to commence in June. He said the action plan drawn up by the government would set conditions for Pakistan to meet in a period of one year. None of those working on the matter and contacted by Dawn were willing to discuss the details of the action plan. “Whatever conditions are being finalised, we will implement it administratively,” one source said.
Must be quite drastic and punitive in nature, considering Pakiland's past records !!!
When approached to seek comment on the issue, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail told Dawn that his government had already taken several administrative steps complying with global standards to counter money laundering and terror financing. The Deep State will find another way to get around the strict rules . The ISI will come up with something . Dawood and his gang will , of course be consulted
Under the reports, the only irregularity identified was the element of tax evasion. The investigations into the cases has also stopped owing to a court decision that struck down of the SRO that gave investigative powers to the intelligence and investigation department of Inland Revenue for anti-money laundering inquiries.
The proposed action plan will also include capacity building of law enforcing agencies to pursue such cases. The FATF wants increased enforcement against all proscribed organisations and individuals including all those organisations operating under new names, vigilance of non-profit organisations and enhancing capacity of the law enforcing agencies.
The FATF people need to put "their guys" on Paki soil to ensure compliance !

Does The NAB Have The "Guts" To Go After Property Tycoon Malik Riaz And His Shenanigans At Bahria Town Megaprojects

NAB launches probe against Bahria Town megaprojects in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi
In accordance with the orders of the apex court, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched a formal probe against Bahria Town Karachi, Bahria Town Lahore and Bahria Town Rawalpindi, according to a press release issued by the watchdog on Monday.NAB Chairman Javed Iqbal has directed the relevant directors general to complete their investigation within three months, in line with the court's directions.
On May 4, the Supreme Court, in three hard-hitting verdicts against the real estate empire, had declared the procurement of land by Bahria Town for its housing projects in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Murree null and void while noting that significant transfers and allotments of land to each project had been done illegally.
The court had subsequently ordered the accountability bureau to file references against the individuals responsible for the transfers and to take action against them within three months. Bahria Town Projects are owned and operated by the "famous" Malik Riaz. Every politico who matters in Pakiland, is in this guy pockets !
The apex court had barred Bahria Town from selling or allotting land in the Bahria Town Karachi project after declaring that the allotment of land to the company by the Sindh government and a massive land swap with the Malir Development Authority (MDA) was done illegally.
Separately, the SC had also held Bahria Town responsible for encroachment on forest land in the Takht Pari area near Islamabad.
The court had also taken notice of alleged irregular allotment of land to the Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
In his judgement, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan — who headed the bench which heard the cases against Bahria Town — had drawn Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar's attention to allegations that lands had also been allotted to DHA and many other societies on throwaway rates in contravention of the law. If so, the verdict had said, the chief justice should take suo motu notice of those housing projects as well so that all of them are treated alike.
Contrary to popular belief , Justice is not blind in Pakiland , so there is no guarantee that the culprits will be "punished"

Sign Of The Times : Chini Fliend Asked To Park At Least Two Billion Dollars To Tide Over "Temporary Difficulties"

Pakistan expecting $2 billion from China
May 19, 2018 ( This is date lined May 19. The situation might have changed since then  )
ISLAMABAD: In the wake of rising current account deficit that swelled to $14.035 billion in the first 10 months and resulting into slashing down of foreign currency reserves with every passing week, Pakistan is looking towards China as the last available option with expectations of receiving $01 to $02 billion on account of safe deposits before June 30, 2018, The News has learnt. Not sure what the Chinese will ask as a quid pro quo
If China does not rescue Islamabad, then there will be no other choice but to knock at the door of the IMF as lender of last resort for all countries facing balance of payment crisis and avoiding default on external payment position. Pakistan will have to "swallow its pride" and go - begging bowl in hand - to the lender of the last resort, who will extract his "pound of flesh" for sure .
When Federal Minister for Finance Dr Miftah Ismail was contacted for seeking his comments on Friday, he said that there was a month of heavy repayments to foreign institutions after which the foreign currency reserves declined. As opposed to "a salaried worker", - secured income - Pakistan is currently employed on "daily wages"- not sure where the next meal is coming from
“We will be able to build up our reserves to better position next month,” he hoped but refused to share details when inquired how it would be done. Another top official said, “Wait and see” as something was in the pipeline, which would be materialised most probably by next month. Someone has offered some hope of a daily wage job to Pakiland
One top official of the Finance Ministry confirmed to The News on Friday that Pakistan did not make any formal request to China for keeping dollars in the shape of safe deposits into the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), but Beijing had conveyed through informal channels that they might sanction putting $01 to $02 billion for keeping into Pakistan’s central bank in a bid to jack up the dwindling foreign currency reserves. At the moment, China’s $500 million are lying into safe deposit with the SBP.
A time will surely come, when the Chinese will have to "protect their investment" in Pakiland and they will call all the ( economic and political ) shots in Pakistan !
Pakistan had returned safe Chinese deposit to Beijing when the country’s reserves had reached comfortable position after graduating the IMF programme successfully during the tenure of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in September 2016.
Are the Pakis allowed to "dip" into these " parked funds" to satisfy their requirements if the situation does not improve . How will the Chinese react if the Pakis take them for granted . Lots of interesting questions
According to the plan of the Ministry of Finance, Pakistan will be receiving $01 to $02 billion from China for keeping into safe deposit and then the government will go for launching Eurobond in the range of $02 billion.
One debt exchanged for another debt ! At least the Eurobond is long term, ( silver lining in the sky !) while the Chini money is short term. So long term needs are financed by long term funds . Finance 101

Paki - Anal-ist Attacks PIA For Putting The ( Vegetarian !) Markhor As A Logo On Its Planes !

Markhors and haraamkhors
Zaigham Khan
May 21, 2018
My Lord, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, is not impressed by the goatly charm and manly posture of the markhor, our national animal, that found its place recently on the tail of the national flag carrier, PIA. “We have found out that you want to use a picture of an animal in place of our national flag, What animal’s picture have you put on the tail of the plane?”. The CJ has ordered to halt the makeover of PIA aircrafts until a report is submitted on the matter. The "latest project" of the over-active SeeJayPee of Pakiland !
Nations are supposed to be rich in symbolism and these symbols play a crucial role in constructing the national identity and uniting people. A flag is an important, shared symbol, but by no means the only one. Most flag-carrying airlines don’t have flags painted on the tails of their planes. Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey, describes its logo in these words: “Our logo depicts the world’s highest flying bird, the wild goose, that can rise up to 29,035 feet.” The acronym and the logo of Iran Air is Huma, the mythical bird that we know so well. The enterprise logo of Air China consists of an artistic phoenix pattern, another mythical bird. Pakistan is "always different" . For eg. It has "rejected" its Indian heritage and is trying to join the "Arab Club" . The Arabas are not interested in the offer
Rather than a land-bound animal, a bird is a natural symbol for an airline. Pakistan’s national bird, Chakor, is a game bird, suitable to describe the way PIA has been treated by our ruling classes, but does not make an inspirational image for a logo.
There are many migratory birds that connect Pakistan with other countries and continents by spending their winters on our land. These birds include the Siberian crane, Amur Eagle and the Houbara bustard. One of these birds can be a good candidate for the logo. It has to be "native" to Pakiland ! :(
While turning to land-bound animals, it is hard for me to understand why the markhor was chosen as a national animal. The ISI has selected this animal, so why not PIA
In fact, we do not know who picked our national symbols for us and on what grounds. I am assuming that all of these symbols were chosen in the 1950s and 1960s by our bureaucratic rulers, and manifest their lack of imagination. Kindly correct me if I am wrong. PEMRA rules will apply if ISI or PIA is criticized !
There is a good reason why legal professionals and bureaucrats do not excel in imagination. Legal and official documents require use of unambiguous language, where a word should have one meaning only. This is called a sign ie “a marker for something very specific, very concrete and, in general, unambiguous in meaning.” That kind of language should be enough to kill any residual imagination that has not destroyed by our education system already. Wow. The anal-ist is not mincing words. And openly criticizing the Paki Madrassah Education System
A symbol, as Carl Jung said, is a representation of an idea, mostly visual, that can’t be fully grasped by the conscious mind right away because it is usually generated by unconscious parts of the mind. Often the symbolic image encapsulates a concept and points to its universality. Impressive for a Paki Anal-ist :D
For example, I would not describe green and white as representative of Muslims and non-Muslim only. That would be a sign, not a symbol. The green can also stand for fertility, nature, environment and love for the land. The white can also stand for purity and pluralism. After all, white contains all colours and the white part includes green as well. White should mean that that we are one with all our diversities, including the diversity of faith. In that way, minorities would not complaint that they have the danda (stick) while the green is free to flutter. Imagination run wild, no doubt ! But are the Pakis ready for the "soft " symbolic approach as opposed to the "hard" sign approach . Are they willing to give some leeway to their minorities ? Food for thought. !
The crescent and the star are some of the most profound universal symbols. The Ottoman emperors put them together to symbolise their empire; this happened due to the dream of the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman I. These symbols, apart from their universal meanings, hint at our links with Turkey, Central Asia and the Muslim world and heritage. :(( In any discussion, the might of the Muslim Empire ( be it Ottoman or Mughal ) HAS to be injected
I have nothing against the poor mountain goat. The markhor is not only a national animal, it is also a trophy animal. Even a dead markhor is worth the proverbial one hundred and twenty five thousand rupees (sawa lakh). A few months back, the Gilgit-Baltistan government auctioned hunting permits for Astor markhors for $68,000 to $100,000 per animal. Unlike PIA and other national haraamkhors, the markhor does not cost us anything. It is a true national asset, not a liability masqueraded as assets to keep nephews and nieces employed. So, the prized ( and probably endangered ) Markhor is now harvested for money to replenish the empty coffers of the GOP . Is the WWF aware of this . Someone who cares for the Markhor should E mail them about this
Perhaps, the most important thing about the markhor is the myth that it eats snakes. ( But the ISI has already put it on its logo  ) That’s why it has the name markhor, meaning snake eater. Of course, its reputation supersedes its performance. It is a completely vegetarian animal – like any other goat. If we want a real snake eater, we can pick the mongoose, found all over the country in abundance. Mongoose of course is out of the question. It is a "Hindu Animal"
Perhaps no animal qualifies for the honour better than the Indus bull. Even with a little bit of imagination, those making the decision should have picked it without much discussion. The Indus bull is found on seals, figurines and also on rock carvings going back to five thousand years. And this species is still is found in our fields in Sindh alongside the cart used by the Harappan people. It is this kind of continuity that provides the greatest symbols. Rejected ! It symbolizes "Hindu Culture" and it has nothing to do with the Islamic "origins" of Pakistan !
I once asked Jonathan Mark Kenoyer, one of the best known archaeologists known for his work on the Indus Valley civilisation how the Indus civilisation was destroyed. At the time, he was carrying out his annual excavation at Harappa. “What do you mean?” he said. “[The] Indus Valley civilisation was never destroyed. You are living it even today.” He invited me to visit the Harappa town and see how artisans were still making the utensils that are exhibited in the museum. A similar lesson was given to me by Dr Saifur Rehman Dar, another archaeologist, regarding the Gandhara civilisation.
This "guy" is going to get a visit from PEMRA . He should not be "promoting" Hindu Culture
Our link with the bovine has not ended. According to an FAO report, “With an almost 50 percent contribution, livestock is by far the most important subsector in agriculture (in Pakistan).…. Within the livestock sector, milk is the largest and single most important commodity. Despite decades of oversight by the government, Pakistan is the fifth-largest milk producer in the world.”
not sure about this ! Could be Statistics Made In Sialkot !
Should PIA get the Indus bull? No way. I will give it neither the flag nor the bull. I will beseech our lords to let some entrepreneurial bull own the PIA. We badly need the millions of dollars PIA gobbles up every year. Haraamkhors must be pushed to some other grazing field. Some sage advice for the esteemed CJP !

This Young Paki Lawyer Is A " Great Admirer" Of DJinnah. He Rejects The Current Siren Song That Nawaz Sharif Is A "Ghaddar ".

Nawaz Sharif — the ghaddar
Yasser Latif Hamdani
May 21, 2018
Was Nawaz Sharif once the ladla of the establishment? Yes. So was Zulfikar Ali Bhutto when he was dispatched by Field Marshall Ayub Khan to dissuade Maulana Bhashani from joining the ranks of the combined opposition united under Fatima Jinnah’s heroic candidacy for the office of the president. Yet Bhutto’s government was ultimately overthrown by the same deep state for having become too strong a civilian leader for his own good.
It is true that Imran Khan is the new ladla of the establishment but if he were ever to come into power, he would soon realise why Bhutto and Nawaz before him had to engage in course correction. Given his personality, Imran Khan’s alliance with the umpire would prove to be shortest in our history. That is if Imran Khan ever makes it to power. There are very good reasons why that should never happen, not the least because Imran Khan is reportedly relying on the supernatural to deliver him the coveted throne in Islamabad. Those familiar with American TV show Game of Thrones know the script already. Imran Khan is Pakistan’s Stannis Baratheon. Fantasy meets reality in Pakistan all too often.
So, he is also of the opinion that the Kaptaan is an empty vessel.

News from Bani Gala is at once bleak and hilarious. The red priestess has brought with her as pets two of her most favourite genies to Islamabad. Very unsportsmanlike of Imran Khan one must say. After all this is the same Imran Khan who won us the World Cup by relying on hard work and a never-surrender attitude. For him to now seek supernatural intervention is just a sad state of affairs. More importantly, it does not bode well for a nuclear-armed nation with the fastest growing stockpile to be led by a man swayed by such superstition and mumbo jumbo that defies all rationality and common sense.
Can one seriously believe that Immy is a graduate of the "famous" Oxford University . Maybe, the University was "lenient" on him because of his cricketing and "other" abilities . ( Similar to present POTUS being a graduate of the "famous" Wharton School of Finance in Philly
Nawaz Sharif’s stance of civilian supremacy represents, at this point in time, the most important turn around by any politician. His interview in daily Dawn spelt out something that many in Pakistan have been saying for a while. This is what he said, that has caused so much offence: “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?” The answer is simple. No, we should not. We should complete the trial and bring those responsible to justice. We should show the world that we are a responsible nation state based on rule of law and have not allowed our country to be overrun by non-state actors. Those who are opposed to this policy are the real ghaddars. For once , Ganja is right !
Paragraph 45 of the Judgment by the Indian Supreme Court in Ajmal Kasab v. State of Maharashtra should give us Pakistanis a reason for pause:
“It is reported that it was at the Taj Mahal Hotel ballroom that, on February 20, 1918, at her eighteenth birthday party, Ruttie had accepted Mr Jinnah’s hand in marriage ( others are of the opinion that DJinnah "ambushed" and abused his friendship with the Parsi Petits to snatch this young girl from her family  ) while the band was playing the Chopin tune, So Deep is the Night. It is also reported that both Mr. Jinnah, the creator of Pakistan, and Mrs Sarojini Naidu, the President of the Indian National Congress, often held court at Taj Mahal Hotel. Mr Jinnah also had an intimate connection with Mazgaon, where the bomb planted by two terrorists in a taxi exploded, killing three (3) and wounding nineteen (19) people. It is reported that Mr. Jinnah devoted Thursday afternoons to visiting the grave of his wife Ruttie at the Khoja Shiite Isna’ashri Cemetry, situated at Mazgaon, Mumbai. One wonders what Quaid-e-Azam would have thought of the terrorist attack on his favourite city in the subcontinent and especially on Taj Mahal Hotel, with which he had a personal relationship of a very intimate kind.” The writer is of course an ardent "admirer" of DJinnah !
We did not make Pakistan to wage perpetual war on our neighbour to the East. Not a hard core Islamist like Immy
At an Iftar party recently, an educated young critic of Nawaz Sharif told me that even if we have done it, we should never admit it. Why not? Since when did expediency and a false sense of nationalism trump truth and the right thing to do? Nawaz Sharif is not the ghaddar. Ghaddars are those who have led Pakistan on to such a perilous and self-destructive course. It would have been one thing if these so-called patriots had limited their operations to attacking legitimate military targets in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Attacking Bombay — I will call it Bombay, not Mumbai — or Delhi or any other place within the Indian union is beyond the allowable theatre of war. Yes, we want Kashmir to be free of Indian occupation, but we do not want to make permanent enemies out of our neighbours. This idea of a 1000-year war against India, planted by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and coopted by the Pakistani military establishment, must be put to rest once and for all. Pakistan’s military is our pride and joy. We salute their sacrifices in safeguarding Pakistan’s borders, but foreign policy must at all costs be the exclusive reserve of Pakistan’s elected civilian leadership. There can be no occasion for allowing their meddling in civilian affairs. Pakistan was created by civilians and it must be run by civilians. The military academy at Kakul does not train its recruits in political administration of the federation. Why then should they be trusted to run the country? Pakistan’s first military rule led to the departure of East Pakistan. Pakistan’s second military rule gave us Deobandi religious extremism, heroin, and Kalashnikov culture. Pakistan’s third military rule weaponised the once peaceful Barelvi sect. How has military interference in governance helped the country? From the safe confines of Massaland, the young lawyer seems to be "underestimating" the shenanigans of the Deep State !
Pakistan must put its faith in constitutional democracy and never waver from it. Only democracy can deliver us from the ills that plague us. Nawaz Sharif, the so-called ghaddar, stands for constitutional democracy. He has learnt his lessons well. For the first time in our history, the GT Road belt has risen up against the deep state. These are revolutionary times for our country. Therefore, every true patriot of Pakistan must stand with Nawaz Sharif in finally ridding Pakistan of the aliens that have presided over its destiny, so that no future elected leader has to ask mujhe kiyoun nikala. It will be a bit too premature to celebrate the "triumph of democracy " in Pakiland . At least IMO

Pakistani Troops Fire At Indian Posts, Day After "Pleading" For Ceasefire
JAMMU: Last night, Pakistani troops fired small arms and mortars, targeting Narayanpur area of Ramgarh sector in Samba district, hours after "pleading" with the BSF to stop firing, after being pounded with heavy artillery that left a trooper dead across the border.
In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangers today fired mortar shells on border outposts at several places in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting retaliation by the Border Security Force or BSF soldiers guarding the International Border. An eight-month-old boy was killed and six people including a special police officer were injured in the firing, officials said
Eight-month-old Nitin Kumar, sleeping with his family outside their home in Pallanwala sector along the Line of Control was killed.

Kishanganga project: Pak meeting with World Bank kicks off

WASHINGTON: The three-day water talks between the World Bank (WB) and Pakistan began here on Monday to discuss the Indian violations of the Indus Water Treaty.

A four-member delegation led by Attorney General of Pakistan, Ashtar Ausaf reached the World Bank head office to apprise the Bank’s president about the country’s concerns over more than a dozen projects that India intends to complete along the Indus Basin.

Pakistan maintains that these projects will disrupt its water supplies, and insists that the design of Kishanganga Hydel is not in line with the criteria laid down under the Treaty. Pakistan's ambassador to the US, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, told media on Saturday that its Foreign Ministry has suggested changes in the basic design to avoid Treaty violations but their proposals were ignored.

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kishaganga plant on Saturday. Pakistan wants the World Bank to play its role as a mediator. Its Foreign Office on Friday also voiced concerns, saying the inauguration without resolution of the dispute between the two countries is tantamount to violation of the Indus Waters Treaty that regulates the use of waters in shared rivers. The delegation intends to go beyond discussing the Kishanganga and hopes that the financial institution will also address Pakistan' concerns about Ratle and other Indian projects.

Pakistan’s debt may be soaring, but it has its benefits
The Express Tribune
LAHORE: There is news in the print media that the external debt of Pakistan was hovering around $92 billion till March 2018.
The current government is blamed for an astounding increase in the external debt and liabilities over the past four and a half years. There is half-truth in this statement since it ignores the benefits which are associated with the seeking of external debt. There is scarcity of foreign exchange in every developing economy. Normally, the shortage of foreign exchange compels governments either to attract foreign capital or borrow through bilateral, multilateral or commercial sources. This scarcity acts as an external constraint and doesn’t allow the economy to grow fast.
As far as the case of Pakistan is concerned, its economy can grow at a pace of 5% without any significant balance of payments (BOP) crisis since the 5% growth rate acts as a ceiling considering the export structure of the country. As growth rate crosses this ceiling, alarm bells start ringing on the BOP front.Pakistan government usually went to the lender of last resort ie the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to manage its BOP front. From 2013 to 2016, the country remained under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) of the IMF, which helped in bolstering foreign exchange reserves of the country.
Similarly, other multilateral lenders – the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Islamic Development Bank – provided necessary budgetary and project-related support to Pakistan. The economy remained range bound between 3.8% and 4.5% growth since the focus of the IMF was on macroeconomic stability. The low growth rate reduces imports, which helps in increasing the foreign exchange reserves.
In addition, lower oil prices provided a significant cushion to policymakers in Islamabad to maintain the oil import bill. Last but not the least, the government resorted to commercial borrowing in the form of Eurobond and Sukuk since the IMF programme increased the confidence of international investors to some extent and they invested in the bonds.
In a nutshell, every government intends to achieve high economic growth given the external constraint of precious foreign exchange. The government is able to achieve high economic growth of 5.5%, but cracks started to appear in the external sector. With every passing week, the BOP crisis is getting closer though the government keeps on borrowing from external sources.Under the emerging situation, the likely possibility is that the economy will slow down again in line with the precarious foreign exchange situation and the new IMF programme will be negotiated soon.

Brushing your teeth while having fast is totally Halal, however, it is preferable to avoid using toothpaste or mouthwash as they may reach the throat.According to Shaykh Ibn al-Uthaymin and Shaykh Ibn Baz, (Sounds like a Saudia, so it is "gold plate" advice  ) the fast will not break by using mouthwash and toothpaste.

Pakistan "Allowed" To Hold An Anti- Terrorism Conference

Pakistan to hold first ever Anti Terrorism Conference under SCO, Indian squad to participate
22 May, 2018
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan will be holding the first ever anti-terrorism conference in Islamabad, under the banner of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The three-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization–Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (SCO-RATS) legal experts meeting will kick off on Wednesday.
India will be attending the regional conference despite recent tensions that have persisted between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.Pakistan will be hosting its first SCO meeting, since the country became a member of the organisation in June 2017, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office. Pakistan = 1.00. India = 0.00 ; reminds me of the equivalent of a child being allowed to handle a loaded gun.
“The Government of Pakistan is pleased to welcome delegations from SCO member states to Islamabad,” said the FO. Legal experts from the eight member states, namely China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan, as well as representatives of the SCO-RATS Executive Committee will participate in the meeting. In this day and age, when Pakiland is pounded from all four sides, this will definitely help in burnishing its broken image
The legal experts will discuss terrorist threats faced by the region and come up with ways and means to enhance counter-terrorism cooperation between SCO member-states.
“Pakistan supports SCO’s efforts for regional cooperation in fighting terrorism, drug trafficking and organised crime.” The foreign office statement said. :((
The other delegations, will go through the required motions. Sightseeing around Isloo thrown in as an additional bonus . Not sure , if an LOC visit to Kashmir for the delegations is also being planned

"Everyone " Knows That PIA Is A "Sinking Ship" But Still They Have Invited Prince Harry And Megan Markle To Pakistan

PIA Invites Prince Harry, Megan Markle to Pakistan
PIA invited the newly-wed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to visit Pakistan on a PIA plane. Fly at your own risk? Bring your own food and portable toilet ?
Pakistan International Airlines, in what seems to be a bold marketing move, decided to send out a warm invitation to the newlywed couple – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – of the British Royal family to visit the northern landscape of Pakistan. Not only that the management implied that PIA would like to host them on their plane in case they accept the invitation.
IMO, no reply ( ie ignore the invite !) is the best reply
In a heartfelt tweet, the national carrier reminded about Princess Diana and her visit to Pakistan, the newly-weds were also invited to have an all-out trip to the country’s serene northern areas. PIA’s tweet reads, Invoke the memory of Harry's late mother Princess Di !
Lately, PIA has been revamping its operations, the overhaul seems to have impacted its social media and marketing department as well. Take a look for yourself, The CJP of Pakiland has admonished the PIA management of spending taxpayers' money for frivolous things !

Just like how US torn down agreement with Iran! Brexit!

Any country can back down from any treaty. This is not an international law. It is simply a treaty between two countries. The agreement is in force simply because our politicians want to. Otherwise after Kargil any country would have scrap such treaty.. then parliament attack... then 26/11... and not to forget pakistan's terrorism in JK... we have plenty of reasons.

Is Ex-ISI Chief the Sourse of A. S. Daulat's DHUN AND DAULAT?

Ex-RAW chief wants India to invite Gen Bajwa

Speaking to NDTV together with former ISI chief Lt Gen Asad Durrani ahead of the release of their joint book — The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace — Mr Dulat said there was a new inflection in diplomatic and strategic fields across the world. “Who could have thought a few days ago that President Donald Trump would be talking to the North Korean leader? We should also think out of the box, as Dr Manmohan Singh used to say. Roll out the red carpet and invite Gen Bajwa, and see what happens.” Has Daulat been appointed as Pajwa's Agent?

Both authors described people-to-people contacts as a low hanging fruit that could be plucked easily, including easing of visas and resumption of cricket ties.

Gen Durrani, speaking from his home in Pakistan, said he believed the meeting between former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and Yousuf Raza Gilani in Sharm el Sheikh had produced a path-breaking agreement, which bureaucracies on both sides had trashed. “The agreement to have a joint anti-terror mechanism would have been a great achievement for both. Alas, that was not to be.”

Former ISI chief Gen Durrani says Gilani-Manmohan meeting produced path-breaking agreement which bureaucracies on both sides trashed

Earlier, The Indian Express quoted Gen Durrani as saying in the book that Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval’s experience in Pakistan had affected him in a manner that he believed that the country must be dealt with an iron fist. That is the only Language Terrorists understand!

About Mr Doval, who served in India’s intelligence agencies before retiring in 2005, Gen Durrani says: “He hasn’t changed policy. He’s just a little more hardline but it’s still what I believe has been Indian policy for a long time. He shouts more, like Trump does, a lot of hot air. He provides that masala.”

Local reports said Gen Durrani would not attend this week’s book release in Delhi as he had not been given a visa.

“The upshot is he’s just doing what his boss wants done. Maybe more muscularly, more vocally,” Gen Durrani adds in the book.

He attributes Mr Doval’s attitude to his stint with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad in the 1980s, saying: “In Ajit Doval’s case it probably affected him in a way where he felt, ‘Oh God, this country must be dealt with an iron fist’.

Mr Dulat, according to The Indian Express, argues about “his colleague and good friend” and “Modi’s henchman” Doval that “as far as his capabilities go, he’s one of our outstanding operational guys. He’s a field man”. Daulat should be Censored and the Indian Authorities must put an Estoppel on his "Pension" for use the derogatory term "henchman" to describe Doval Ji's relationship with Modi Ji.

Mr Dulat goes on to say that Mr Doval is “not necessarily a hardliner” on Pakistan, arguing: “He toes Modi’s line. He also toed Mani Dixit’s line. He at one point toed [M.K.] Narayanan’s line… I’ll tell you something. He is convinced that Modi is the greatest thing that has happened to India. That I can vouch for.” This calls for an "Execution"!

Gen Durrani says in the book that Mr Doval “matters nowadays, as Modi matters. I agree he is smart and would not miss an opportunity for another spectacle. Win Modi or himself brownie points. But I’m not counting on him to turn around the relationship and make it stable. Next time he’s in Lahore or Islamabad, it will be for all the right reasons for India, but all the wrong reasons for the long-term relationship, and without wishing us (Pakistan) any benefit.”

Gen Durrani cites the example of the Indian NSA’s meeting in Delhi in 2016 with six former Pakistani high commissioners to India. “Six high commissioners had an invitation from the Aspen Centre; Sati Lambah was the moving force. They considered their most substantial meeting was when they called on the NSA. Ajit Doval treated them indifferently, saying: ‘We are watching you. If something good does not come out of our investigation, and if we find a link between Pathankot and Mumbai and a state structure, there will be consequences’. Well Done Doval Ji!

“When the meeting finished he did not shake hands with a group that is highly regarded in both countries. Just walked away. The message was conveyed.” And rightly so!

Mr Dulat, however, disputes that version, telling Gen Durrani that what he “heard in Delhi was the contrary; the high commissioners were pleasantly surprised that he was nice and soft despite his reputation of being tough as nails”. Daulat the Butt-Kisser!

Mr Dulat reportedly said that if the case of retired Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, arrested by Pakistan on charges of spying, “were a RAW operation and he was a RAW spy, then it’s a pretty sloppy operation”.

US Congressman Criticizes Human Rights Situation In Sindh Province !

Congressman Sherman Condemns Assault on Families of Disappeared Persons during Hunger-Strike in Sindh, Pakistan
May 21, 2018
Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), released the following statement regarding the ongoing human rights situation in the Sindh province of Pakistan:
"I express my grave concerns about the human rights situation in the Sindh province of Pakistan, with special reference to enforced disappearances of persons at the hands of Pakistani security agencies. Many of the disappeared persons are from the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM), Jeay Sindh Mutehada Mahaz (JSMM), and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM). The disappeared persons also include teachers, intellectuals, writers, and publishers. Six of my House colleagues joined me in sending a letter to the State Department on this issue in August 2017. I also raised this issue on the floor of the House in October 2017, and this problem of enforced disappearances was discussed in a February 2018 hearing of the Asia Subcommittee at the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
"I strongly condemn an incident that occurred this past weekend, when Pakistan’s security forces assaulted the families of disappeared and missing persons who were on a hunger strike in protest of these disappearances.
"The family members of the Sindhi victims of enforced disappearances (mainly their daughters and wives, as male members are being held by the security forces or have moved underground or remained silent as they fear the security agencies) and their friends have launched a peaceful nonviolent protest for their release. The daughters and wives of the disappeared persons were engaged in a 72-hour hunger strike in front of the Press Club at Karachi that began May 20. During this nonviolent protest, Pakistani security forces or their agents assaulted two daughters of the disappeared Hidyat Lohar (an elementary school headmaster who was taken away in April 2017 in front of school children) and two daughters of Khadim Arijo (a civil servant missing since April 2017). Security forces also reportedly detained about five of the nonviolent activists, though it seems they have been released.
"It is crucial that Pakistan immediately cease these and other related human rights violations in the Sindh province. Pakistani security personnel and others involved in the enforced disappearances should be held accountable. I urge the U.S. State Department and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as well as our ambassador in Pakistan, to take up this issue with the civilian and military leadership of Pakistan. Our ambassador to Pakistan must receive guarantees from the Pakistani government regarding the protection of human rights defenders and of those who advocate for Sindh’s missing persons. It will be even more significant to set up a bipartisan fact-finding mission to probe enforced disappearances and related killings in Sindh."
It is significant that no one from the SD "discouraged" this congressman from openly criticizing the Paki Govt . Would not have been allowed to happen, for sure, during the " Afghan Jihad"

Paki Physician In Massaland, Shows His Pakistaniyat

Doctor sentenced for spiking girlfriend's drink to induce abortion
May 21, 2018 8:04 AM EDT
ARLINGTON, Va. -- A physician who spiked his girlfriend's drink with medication to induce an abortion has been sentenced to three years in prison. Sikander Imran was arrested last year and pleaded guilty earlier this year to fetal homicide in Arlington County, Virginia.
WJLA-TV in Washington reports that Imran received a 20-year sentence Friday with all but three years suspended. He has lost his medical license and faces deportation to Pakistan after he serves his term. Where he will be "treated" as a hero, for sure :D
The station reports that the victim, Brooke Fiske, had been dating Imran and was 17 weeks pregnant when she went to visit him to discuss raising the child. If he did not want a child by her, why did he deceive her . And if he still wanted "white infidel flesh " why did he not "wear protection" . So, he wanted to have his cake and eat it too ! Typical Paki behaviour
Imran admitted slipping an abortion pill into her tea. "When I was drinking my tea in the evening I got to the bottom of the cup. There was a gritty substance in there and when I looked at it, I could tell that it was a pill that had been ground up," Fiske told CBS affiliate WROC in December.
She had a miscarriage within hours. "He [Imran] immediately started crying and said that he was a horrible person and that he had done what I thought he did," Fiske told WROC.
Fiske asked the judge to grant some leniency to Imran at Friday's sentencing hearing. Stockholm syndrome?

Madam Jalebi Not Happy, That Pakistan Did Not "Get Tough" With USA :D

Ambassadors not given free hand for massacring in Vienna convention: Shireen Mazari
ISLAMABAD: Shireen Mazari, MNA from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) said on her point of order that our rulers are having the mentality of slavery. When a Pakistani citizen is murdered at the hands of foreigners then we dispatch the killers to their country under complete protection.
The government early said on the matter of Col Joseph that his name has been placed on ECL and later he was sent to the US stealthily with honour.
Massa threatened further aid cuts, further hardship for Paki diplomutts in D.C. Pakis buckled under. As simple as that
It is not mentioned anywhere in Vienna Convention that the diplomatic staff has right to kill. Even US had sentenced 7 years in jail to an ambassador of Georgia who had killed a US citizen in an accident. Georgian ambassador is serving this jail term. She stated in Vienna convention ambassadors have not been given free hand for massacring.
If she become FM under Imran's Govt, let us see how tough she can get . May well have to change her anti- US rhetoric :D

TERRORISTAN'S GULABI MUSTAQBIL

Currency could weaken to Rs125 to the dollar: Moody’s

ISLAMABAD: Amid risks associated with servicing external debt due to devaluation of currency, Moody’s Investors Service, one of top three global credit rating agencies, has forecasted that Pakistan’s rupee could shed value by another 7.75% and its worth may go as low as Rs125 to the dollar by June next year.

In its latest report, ‘Government of Pakistan – B3 stable, annual credit analysis’, Moody’s has taken a negative view of Pakistan’s external sector but remained upbeat about economic growth prospects due to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The credit ratings agency also does not see any “significant surprises” in terms of the broader direction of macroeconomic and national security policies after the 2018 general elections, indicating towards limited options available to political parties to change the landscape.

It has forecasted that as against Rs116 to a dollar value by June this year, the nominal exchange rate could be Rs125 to a dollar by June 2019, implying a devaluation of 7.75%. The local currency has remained under pressure in recent months due to mounting external sector financing requirements. The government has already devalued the currency by over 10% from December to March of this fiscal year.

Moody’s said that a moderate but rising level of external government debt also exposes the country’s finances to sharp currency depreciations. The high level of imports, largely because of CPEC, continues to exert pressure on the external account, it added.

It said that there are also risks of higher than expected inflation, as oil prices have continued to rise, and there may be further rounds of currency depreciation by the SBP to reduce import demand.

The ratings agency also expects “ongoing pressure on Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves, arising from the country’s large refinancing needs and its widening current account deficit”. Foreign exchange reserves fell to $10.7 billion The import cover of foreign exchange reserves has consequently fallen to less than 2.5 months, which is below the IMF’s recommended minimum adequacy level of three months, it added.

The moderately large and rising share of foreign currency borrowing further exposes the sovereign credit profile to sharp currency depreciations, warned Moody’s. The increase in government’s debt burden since fiscal 2016 has been due to higher external debt, borrowed partly to fund the country’s balance of payments deficit. It noted that the external debt as percentage of official foreign currency reserves has risen to 730.4%, which is the highest level in past two years.

The Moody’s has included growing debt burden among credit rating challenges, which has weakened the country’s debt bearing capacity. “Pakistan’s debt affordability is one of the weakest among B-rated sovereigns with narrow tax bases”, stated the credit rating agency.

At 68.1% of GDP as of fiscal 2017, the government’s debt stock is higher than the 57.5% median for B-rated sovereigns. Moody’s said that Pakistan will not adhere to Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation (FRDL) Act for at least next three years. The Act requires the government to limit public debt to 60% of GDP until fiscal 2018 and targets further reduction to 50% of GDP over the following 15 years.

The credit rating agency has also set Pakistan’s government liquidity risk is “high” due to sizable fiscal deficits and reliance on short-term debt. At an estimated 33.4% of GDP, Pakistan’s gross borrowing requirement in fiscal year 2018 is the fourth largest among all rated sovereigns, after Japan, Egypt and Bahrain, and higher than most similarly rated peers. It has assessed Pakistan’s susceptibility to event risk also “high”, driven by domestic and geopolitical political risk, and government liquidity risk, stemming from the government’s large rollover requirements.

Pakistan’s political risk is also assessed “high”, reflecting a strong probability of an escalation of violent terrorism or tensions between the different branches of the government, which would threaten political stability and divert essential policy and economic resources.

Moody’s said that successful implementation of the CPEC project has the potential to transform the Pakistani economy by removing infrastructure bottlenecks and stimulating both foreign and domestic investment. But “the fiscal costs related to the project could raise Pakistan’s debt burden more rapidly and significantly than we expect, and persistently high levels of imports could develop into greater external vulnerability”.

Moody’s said that over the next three to five years, CPEC has the potential to significantly improve Pakistan’s competitiveness and raise potential GDP growth, by relieving supply-side constraints and catalyzing private sector investment. But it said that the CPEC implementation could be slower than envisaged or less effective at generating productivity gains.

One More Example Of Binge Eating And Food Gorging During The "Holy" Month Of Ramadhan Ramazan

Sehri at Kartarpura is new rage
The Express Tribune
May 22, 2018
ISLAMABAD: When Ramazan and summer vacations coincide the results could be amazing. Instead of waking up for Sehri, the young ones are up and about till the Sehri. And what could be more fun than eating out at 2am. Sex is strictly "forbidden" during the "holy" month of Ramazan. So eating is the next best thing "Food" is the new sex !
The tradition of eating out on Sehri is gaining popularity. The old-city area food street of Kartarpura has become a famous haunt for foodies to indulge in sumptuous desi delights. Consumption of "rich food" is one sign that you have "made it in Isloo" !
The day long fast and long prayers of Taraweeh leaves Pindiwaals famished to feast on local foods like siri-paya, nihari, brain masala, cholay and lassi. People are seen with friends and families enjoying food in the open air with cool late night breeze heavy with aroma of barbeque and charcoal ambers.
Eat during the night, sleep during the day. And go to the doctor in the evening to cure yourself of "stomach problems" . And defeat the whole purpose of discipline and control during the "holy" month !
Such is the rush of the people that the staff at the two-kilometre long food street starts setting up tables for Sehri soon after dealing with Iftar crowd, besides giving final touches to traditional food items especially sri paye and nihari, which require hours to cook.
Then they complain of high prices and price gouging !
During Ramazan, tea shops are usually replaced with lassi shops with milkmen busy churning curd for lassi in their makeshift shops.
“After having warm and oil laden food like nihari, people like having at least two or three glasses of sweet and namkeen lassi. Most people believe that having lassi for sehri eliminates thirst for the day,” said Mohammad Afzal a visitor at the Kartarpura food street.“It took me two hours to get a table, be served and to be done with my food because of the huge crowd on the weekend,” he said.
Just before the onset of Ramazan Paki doctors had sounded an "alarm" about the high rate of type 2 diabetes prevailing in Pakiland !
“This food street does not have a parking, and customers have to park out in the streets or in the adjacent Kohati Bazaar. But it is all worth it because the food is so good here. The chefs are familiar with the tastes people prefer in the area. While other markets may offer better seating, its all about food in the Kartarpura food market,” said a visitor, Numan. Does Numan has to go to work tomorrow

Pakistan’s budget deficit soars to record Rs1.48 trillion

ISLAMABAD: The government that once took pride in ensuring fiscal discipline is now on a path of compromising Pakistan’s macroeconomic stability as it has booked a record high budget deficit of Rs1.481 trillion for nine months of the current fiscal year, which is even higher than the annual target. So the Annual Figure would be Terroristani Rs. 1.975 Trillion with Good Chances of Broaching the Two Trillion Barrier!

The overall budget deficit – the gap between income and expenditure – widened to 4.3% of gross domestic product (GDP) or Rs1.481 trillion in Jul-Mar 2017-18, according to the Ministry of Finance that released a consolidated summary of federal and provincial budgetary operations on Monday.

In absolute terms, it was the highest-ever budget deficit that Pakistan recorded for Jul-Mar in any fiscal year. In terms of total size of national economy, the 4.3% deficit was the highest in five years and even higher than the 4.1% annual target that former finance minister Ishaq Dar had set in June last year.

It seemed that the Ministry of Finance did not exercise control over expenses and kept sanctioning expenditure requests without having the fiscal framework in mind. One reason for such a lax control was the posting of inexperienced bureaucrats in the ministry.

The Rs1.481-trillion budget deficit came despite the fact that four provinces of the country showed a cash surplus of Rs174 billion in the first nine months. Excluding provincial savings, the federal budget deficit would have jumped to Rs1.65 trillion.

Earlier, the Pakistan Peoples Party-led government had booked a 4.4% budget deficit in Jul-Mar of fiscal year 2012-13, which was its last year in power. In absolute terms, the 4.4% deficit was equal to Rs1.04 trillion.

The latest figures negate the federal government’s claim that it has reversed the trend of last fiscal year when the budget deficit peaked to a historic high of Rs1.863 trillion or 5.8% of GDP.

The Rs1.481-trillion deficit suggests that even the revised annual target of 5.5% of GDP or Rs1.891 trillion will be breached.

Ratings agency Moody’s Investor Services on Friday listed “material widening of fiscal deficit” among the triggers that could lead to downgrading of Pakistan’s credit rating.

Other elements that could cause a downgrade are stalling of the IMF programme’s economic reform agenda, worsening of external payments’ position, loss of multilateral/bilateral support or renewed political instability, according to Moody’s.

“The government’s very narrow revenue base restricts fiscal flexibility and weighs on debt affordability,” Moody’s said in its May 18th report on Pakistan.

The budget and current account deficits remain the two biggest challenges for Pakistan’s economy that overshadow the government’s economic performance in other areas. Because of the twin deficits, there are apprehensions that Pakistan may go back to the IMF for another bailout.

It seems the government has opened the purse for spending just before elections. Most of the development spending went to the schemes that can benefit the ruling party in upcoming elections.

Another main reason for the record-breaking budget deficit was ballooning debt servicing. From July through March of the current fiscal year, the domestic and foreign debt servicing consumed Rs1.172 trillion, according to the Ministry of Finance. It was 86% of the annual budget estimate.

The government’s growing reliance on short-term domestic and foreign borrowing has significantly increased the debt servicing cost.

Defence spending in nine months stood at Rs623.8 billion, which was 67.7% of the budget estimate. Both debt servicing and defence expenses consumed 56.4% of total expenditures in first nine months of the current fiscal year.

Overall, the federal government’s expenditure stood at Rs3.2 trillion in the Jul-Mar period, which was roughly two-thirds of the annual budget. However, current expenditures amounted to Rs2.67 trillion, which were more than 70% of the annual allocation.

Federal development spending in the first nine months amounted to roughly Rs416.4 billion or about 41.5% of the annual budget.

Revenue receipts remained at Rs2.8 trillion or 64.5% of the annual estimate. The Federal Board of Revenue’s tax collection was Rs2.627 trillion or 65% of the annual target. Both of these Items should have been 75% of the Annual Estimates!

Non-tax revenues stood at only Rs390 billion due to curbs placed by the US on the release of Coalition Support Fund. The State Bank of Pakistan contributed Rs143.2 billion or 55% of its annual targeted profit.

The collection of petroleum levy increased to Rs136.4 billion or 85% of annual projection. It will also remain a main tool to increase federal tax collection in the next fiscal year.
