Hajam Sethi :

(1) CJP Nisar's End Is Noble , But His Means Are Not
(2) Imran Is Unabashedly Using The "Nepotism" Card

Never Mind

SAQUIB AND THE DAM
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar, is an honourable man who feels passionately about righting Pakistan. He has been making headlines since the day he ascended the throne — inspecting hospitals, reprimanding profiteering capitalists, lecturing teachers, ticking off policemen, convicting politicians, censoring media persons, and so on. In the interest of the downtrodden and speechless, he has elevated the court’s suo motu powers to unprecedented heights. To crown it all, he has now taken suo motu notice of the court’s suo motu powers so that these may not be misused in the future. Never mind that he is transgressing into the domain of the legislature and executive because it is all for a good cause.
Hope he has not yet crossed the red lines of the Premiere Institution
The good judge has now set up a Fund seeking donations from all and sundry to build multi-billion dollar Dams to secure Pakistan from the looming threat of water scarcity. “The survival of the country and its economy depends on it”, he says, while threatening to slap Article 6 (treason) on anyone who criticizes his grand scheme on one count or another. Never mind that Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces are bitterly opposed to the Kalabagh Dam project that he favours unabashedly. Never mind too that the Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, immediately stood up in parliament to reassure the three provinces that the PTI government respected their strong aversion to the Kalabagh dam and frowned on the “unnecessary controversy” that had cropped up!
Saquib is a Pakjabi. The Sindhis think that "building Kalabagh" will steal "their" water . !
He is simply trying to draw urgent attention to a potential crisis of water scarcity facing the nation that is bigger than the population explosion and bigger than the fiscal deficit or national debt. And never mind if cynics don’t understand his real motive in trying to “instill citizens with a sense of ownership and belonging and inculcate the executive with a sense of responsibility, accountability and obligation.”
IMMY AND NEPOTISM
...how should we deal with the mundane ones of our new prime minister Imran Khan?
“With the appointment of Zulfikar Bukhari as Minister of State, the federal cabinet has swelled to 32”, reports Dawn. Mr Bukhari, it may be recalled, is the gent who was stopped from boarding a private flight with Imran Khan out of the country a month ago because he was on ECL to facilitate an ongoing investigation by NAB. But he claimed exemption for being a British national and duly boarded the flight. Now he has highlighted his Pakistani nationality to ensure a berth in the federal cabinet. Never mind the dubious benefits of dual nationality status in Naya Pakistan in which a dual national cannot be a member of parliament but can be a member of the cabinet!
Imran Ismail has been appointed the 30th Governor of Sindh. Never mind that he isn’t even a graduate.
Never mind that the federal cabinet is choc a bloc with ex-Musharraf appointees. The able Farogh Naseem and Anwar Mansoor are the Law Minister and Attorney General respectively. Never mind that both were the leading lawyers defending the runaway General (retd) Pervez Musharraf from facing up to his crimes. Never mind too that the fate of the treason case against their former client is now sealed. For good measure, Mr Naseem intends to revise the accountability laws so that our sacred judges and generals are immune from accountability.
The Punjab cabinet boasts some wonderful stalwarts too. For starters, there is Usman Buzdar who was picked out of the Book, as it were, by none other than the saintly First Lady.
Never mind that the wags are calling him the “Temp CM” who is keeping the seat warm for Jehangir Tareen or Aleem Khan. Then there is Fayyaz Chohan, the minister for culture and information. Never mind that he is uncouth, uninformed and uncultured. And so on.
Last but not the least, never mind the nail in the coffin of the budget prepared by the PMLN’s finance minister Miftah Ismail that reduced the tax rates for those who file their tax returns as honest citizens of the state and penalized those who buy expensive cars and properties without showing any income or paying any tax. The PTI’s economic Tsar, Asad Umer, has just reversed the just order of things!

For All His Big Talk, Imran Is Still Beholden To Vested Interests And Is Still A Tool In The Hands Of The Military, Says The UK Guardian

Climbdowns, cheese and crowdfunding: Imran Khan’s first month as PM
Sept 21, 2018
The Guardian
Memphis Barker
On Monday morning, in the ramshackle suburb of Al-Asif Square in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi, local headteacher Syed Mustafa was organising a party. The night before, the newly elected prime minister, Imran Khan had promised on national television to grant citizenship to the Pakistani-born children of the country’s roughly 2.5 million Afghan refugees. Mustafa set out the sweets while one of his colleagues put up a large Pakistani flag.
But the celebrations were brief. On Tuesday, after strong push-back by nationalists, the military and his own coalition partners, the prime minister U-turned. “No decision had been made” on citizenship, Khan said in a speech to parliament.
Example of U Turn : "Decision to grant", has been announced !
As locals sought Mustafa out to ask where they could get Pakistani ID cards for their children, it fell to the 43-year-old to inform them that the situation had changed: their children would still be shut out of access to public healthcare, schools and formal employment.
The reversal reflects an unsteady first month in power for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party Khan founded in 1996.“The [good] things that stand out,” said Sehar Tariq from the US Institute for Peace, “seem to be reversed the next day”.
The celebrity cricketer turned politician began life in office by conspicuously shunning the trappings of state, promising to turn the opulent prime minister’s house into a university and trimming the motorcade afforded to his predecessors. The move looked good. As promised during his campaign, personal austerity was going to feature high on Khan’s agenda. These efforts were undermined however by his near-daily helicopter commute from a personal estate in the hills of Islamabad. Information secretary Fawad Chaudhry drew guffaws by suggesting it cost 50 rupees a kilometre to fly the helicopter, equivalent to travelling by local taxi.
PTI officials acknowledge more serious efforts to ward off a financial crisis are needed, given the country’s £13.5bn current account deficit. Wary of the conditions of any loan, Khan is keen to avoid Pakistan’s 12th IMF bail-out since the late 1980s. Initial brain-storming sessions however have done little more than to produce a much-mocked proposal to ban imports of cheese, alongside mobile phones and cars.
The serious work began on Tuesday, with a mini-budget that amounted to a fiscal adjustment of 2% of GDP. While analysts praised the PTI for the painful reforms, many were dismayed by the government’s relaxing of a proposed law that would have allowed only tax return-filers to purchase cars and property. Less than 0.5% of the population currently pay their dues but while this is a problem Khan has vowed to fix, many are skeptical of how much room he has to manoeuvre. “The climbdown smacks of a deep bow to vested interests,” wrote Khurram Hussain, an eminent business commentator. The PM has also invested his huge personal capital in an almost certainly futile effort to crowdfund the construction of an £11bn dam in the north-east.The project has led to an atmosphere of near-hysteria: Pakistanis overseas have been asked to each donate $1,000, children in tribal areas have been told to donate their lunch money, while the chief justice has threatened doubters with trial for treason.
All this has been repeated ad nauseam by the local media, but it is nice to know that the foreign press has also picked it up
Yet, even at the current rate of feverish donation, it would take more than 100 years to raise the capital. Misleading the population to believe it was possible to crowd-fund such an infrastructure project was “wilfully squandering a massive asset in Pakistan … a groundswell of love for country”, says political commentator Fasi Zaka.Likewise, another of Khan’s pre-election promises, to construct a meritocratic, forward-thinking administration has also run into trouble. Vested interests from the military to the mullahs have been indulged. Twelve of Khan’s appointed cabinet members served under General Musharraf, the military dictator ousted ten years ago, and apparatchiks have been given key positions in the civil service.
Meanwhile the government’s bravest appointment has also been reversed, this time under pressure from the Islamists. Two days after Fawad Chaudhry delighted Pakistan’s liberals by defending the appointment as economic advisor of Atif Mian, an Ahmadi Muslim and Princeton professor named by the IMF as one of the top 25 young economists in the world as an economic advisor, the PTI asked Mian to step down.
But Khan already appears to have been made aware of the limits of his writ: the military’s displeasure with his offer to Afghan refugees could be easily discerned: local journalists had their stories on the topic censored, while an Afghan community elder who gave interviews about the announcement to foreign media was allegedly picked up by paramilitary police, his daughter told the Guardian.Military support may afford the PTI plenty of leeway, analysts say. But the defenders of the nation cannot shield the party forever from the sky-high expectations of the public.

China 'categorically rejects' Islamabad 'Xinjiang criticism' reports

Beijing on Saturday rejected recent media reports claiming Islamabad had ‘criticised’ the former over its treatment of Muslims in China’s Xinjiang.

A statement by the Chinese embassy in Islamabad said Ambassador Yao Jin paid a courtesy visit to Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq on Septemeber 19. The two discussed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other projects on the occasion, the statement read.

Muslims forced to drink alcohol and eat pork in Chinese detention camps, claims former inmate

The press release said a news item carried by APP the same day accurately reported the meeting. Some local and international media, however, presented baseless and distorted versions of the meeting.

These, the Chinese embassy, categorically rejected. Haq was reported to have called on Beijing to soften restrictions placed on Uighur Muslims residing in China’s western province of Xinjiang in the ‘baseless and distorted’ reports.

Muslims in China

In its rejoinder, the embassy said the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China enjoyed social stability, sound economic development and harmonious coexistence among ethnic groups. And How! :rotfl:

Some measures are taken against separatism and terrorism for the sake of safeguarding China’s national security and protecting people’s life and property, the statement read.

Fuel import bill surges 30pc

ISLAMABAD: The country’s oil import bill rose by 30.08 per cent year-on-year to $2.64 billion in the first two months of FY19 whereas machinery imports registered a 19.2pc decline to $1.6bn, showed data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

Barring petroleum and agriculture products, almost all of the groups in the imports table posted negative growth.

Consequently, total import bill during July-August FY19 crawled up 1.01pc to $9.82bn, from $9.73bn over the corresponding period last year.

The data for July-August suggest that the trade deficit, which has risen to alarming levels, might have already hit its peak since subsequent months have shown tepid growth. The newly elected government’s fortunes on external sector could see a marked improvement if the ongoing declining trend continues during this fiscal year.

Product-wise data show that the petroleum group imports saw a robust growth of 30.08pc, reaching $2.64bn in July-August as against $2.03bn over the corresponding months last year, with the largest surge coming from crude oil, up 66.85pc. In terms of quantity, however, crude imports fell 1.8pc to 1.66 million tonnes, from 1.69m tonnes in same period last year.

The cost of petroleum products imports dipped 10.08pc during the first two months of current fiscal year, whereas a 32.24pc decline was recorded in terms of the total quantity imported; bringing it down to 1.95m tonnes.

The import bill for liquefied natural gas (LNG) soared by 146.77pc during the months under review while that of liquefied petroleum gas plunged 30.15pc.

The data show a changing trend in the overall imports, with machinery-related imports registering a marginal decline, and oil imports — including LNG — bill increasing in large part due to the rise in global oil prices.

For a number of years now, machinery imports have been a cause of major reason for the government since they have continuously fuelled trade deficit but since the past few months, the category has seen a decline in imports. For July-August FY18, machinery imports fell by 19.22pc to $1.59bn, from $1.97bn last year. This was led by shrinking imports of textile and power-generating machinery at 18.43pc and 52.24pc, respectively. Telecom equipment imports went down 6.49pc — excluding mobile phones which grew by 6.06pc while those of construction machinery fell 4.56pc.

On the other hand, imports of office and electrical machinery posted substantial increases of 20.17pc and 8.5pc, respectively.

Transport group, another important contributor to trade deficit, also receded during July-August FY19 as it posted a 26.16pc decline. The month saw a dip in imports of all types of transport equipments including auto parts and road motor vehicles.

Food imports — the second-largest group contributing to the total import tally — import shrank 15.5pc in July-August from a year ago.

This was led by 94.1pc decline in imports of dry fruits and nuts, 82.77pc in soybean oil, 12.19pc palm oil and 15.17pc milk products.

Furthermore, imports of ‘other’ food items were down 11.53pc during the period under review.

Did I'm the Dim just call Modi a "small" man? That's an insult to the entire nation. Dimmy just mocked Indian democracy.

On India cancelling the talks, assh**e Immy the dimmy has made the comment that small minds are occupying big office in India. Our 3rd secretary in the MEA should just give a rejoinder that small minds occupying small offices in small countries will not comprehend what a 'big office' is. India's cancellation of the FM talks at (n)UNGA conference has touched a bunch of raw nerves in pakhanistan. Their HS&D is deeply hurt. Couple that with Rawat's threat, hell has broken lose in that zoo. Here's the ISPR reaction to that threat.

Indian war mongering detrimental to regional peace: DG ISPR
“India will have to respond to Pakistan in their own language without resorting to barbarism," Rawat told Indian media
Pakistan army chief spokesman Maj-Gen Asif Ghafoor said that India was trying to divert attention from domestic problem :D by calling off talks with Pakistan and resorting to baseless propaganda.
Pakistan army is a professional institution. It is part of army’s professional code of conduct. No Pakistani troop was involved in mutilation of Indian soldier (I call Bull$hit on this)
India should not get into war mongering as a ruse to deflect international challenges. (which international challenges?)
Indian stance was detrimental to peace between two countries and the region.
We need to maintain peace in the region and it should not be misconstrued as our weakness.
The army spokesman further said that he would soon hold a presser to discuss the matter in details.
So, I'm the Dim's indirectly insulting Indian democracy for electing "small men" was apparently not cleared by TSPA, which is now in damage control mode. Their hands are tied on their western front, where all is not quiet. Dimmy's instant use of teetar to bellyache, rave and rant to assuage his hurt ego is going to harm him the most.

Rawat's direct threat is something the paki establishment (read: TSPA) had clearly not expected. Now watch the flurry of meetings between Dimwit Khan and Waist Bajwa in the next few days. Khan will have to trudge over to 'pindi for a dress down.

Khan is going to get his tsunami sooner than he expected.

Message has already been already delivered by Rawat. Nothing better to hammer in a message from a person who knows what he is saying (and means it) to a dimwit who shot off a thoughtless comment on teetar. ISPR is in damage control mode.

What have the Yindoos started? Baki ego has been severely affected now.

India using cheap tactics to save Modi: Fawad Chaudhry
In a stern response to Indian army chief’s threatening remarks, Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said on Saturday that India was using hate speech against Pakistan to bail Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi out of the calls for his resignation over a ‘French deal.’ :rotfl:
Fawad termed the statement as undiplomatic and condemned the use of ‘such cheap tactics’ in a bid to bail their PM out.
“We reject war mongering by ruling elite of India everyone knows that the Indian government uses hate against Pakistan basically to bail Modi from call for resignation post-French jets deal and to divert attention of Indian public from this mega corruption scandal,” he said.
Oh boy! Bakis are desperately grasping for probable answers to the most important question of the day: what forced the evil Yindoos to do this?

Someone's chaddi is in a serious twist.

FO offers joint investigation to establish truth in BSF soldier's killing
Foreign Office Spokesman, Dr Muhammad Faisal on Saturday categorically rejected allegations of killing Border Security Force (BSF) soldier.
In a statement, the spokesman said that Pakistan Rangers clearly conveyed to BSF through official channels that they had nothing to do with it. They also extended help in efforts to locate the soldier‘s body, he added.
The spokesman also offered to conduct a joint investigation to establish the truth.
India has once again wasted a serious opportunity to change the dynamics of the bilateral relationship and put the region on the path of peace and development.
Pakistan has always desired peaceful and good-neighborly relations with India on the basis of sovereign equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.
Now the optics are being constructed to create the image of a peace-loving pakhanistan whose sincere intentions were subverted by war mongering India.

Railways headquarter to be shifted from Lahore to Karachi: Sheikh Rasheed
Sheikh Chilli has gone over the edge.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad announced on Saturday that a big part of railways headquarter will be shifted from Lahore to Karachi within 60 days. (Why? Who knows.)
the minister said that Nawaz Sharif and their party looted the country’s wealth
“The country has to pay 6 billion interest every day,” Rasheed added.
Railways department is facing 38 billion deficit and is under 25 billion debt.”
“We need hard work to make the railways department functional again,” he added.
We need 23 thousand workers in the department, however, a summary for the recruitment of 10 thousand workers, for the time being, has been sent to the Prime Minister (PM).
Six Billion interest per day? Hain? That's $17,520,000,000 annually. Where did sheikh chilli come up with that number? I mean, I know from where but, how?

Pakis Ratchet Up War Of Words ! We Are Ready For War : Propaganda Dept Of Paki Army ( AKA ISPR )

We are ready for war, but choose to walk path of peace: Pakistan Army
Dawn .Com
Sept 22, 2018
Moments after Times of India reported inflammatory statements by Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Saturday, the Pakistan Army spokesperson responded by saying: "We [Pakistan Army] are ready for war but choose to walk the path of peace in the interest of the people of Pakistan, the neighbours and the region".
These remarks were made by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor while talking to Dunya TV. ( mouthpiece of Paki Fauj !)
Responding to Gen Rawat's statements, Asif Ghafoor said Pakistan has a long-standing record of fighting terrorism, adding "we know the price [that is paid] for peace".
In the name of "fighting terrorism" , they are carpet bombing their own ethnic population of Pashtuns and Balochis !
"We have struggled to achieve peace in the last two decades. We can never do anything to disgrace any soldier," he asserted, strongly denying the claims made by India that hold the Pakistan Army responsible for the killing of a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier.“They have in the past as well laid the blame on us for mutilating the body of a fallen soldier. We are a professional army. We never engage in such acts.
Bullshit !
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry also promptly issued a response, backing the DG ISPR's statement. "Pakistan and India are nuclear powers; a war is out of question," he said.
Does Fawad "boasting" about Paki nuclear blackmail
Chaudhry said that the Indian army chief's statement was inappropriate and that the general must refrain from using statements as a political tool.
This is Imran's Khan's Information Minister , who had earlier defended Imran's use of heli by stating that it is "much cheaper" than traveling by road. !
"As a peace-loving nation, Pakistan desires peace [with India]," he stressed, highlighting the fact that peace will be in the benefit of billions across both nations. He said that Pakistan had reached out in hopes for peace and will continue its efforts to that end.

Revenge for what? Just like Pakistan's history began with Bin Qasim and continued with selective events later, the history of Pakistan cricket vs India started and ended with that Champions Trophy final (if you ask all the Pakis incessantly braying about it for the past year).

No Money For Girls' Education In Paki Budget ! American Women "Sweet Talked" Into Building A School In Hunza

American mother builds school in Pakistan to honour her late daughter’s memory
Sept 22, 2018
AHORE – An American woman has built a school in Pakistan to honour the memory of her daughter who killed herself some 14 years ago due to depression.Elizabeth Tschursin, 39, had come to Hunza in 1993 for a few months and she fell in love with the beautiful sight.
Elizabeth spent her time in the valley teaching science at a depilated building of Al-Murtaza Academy. However, she had to go back to the states to visit in order to sort out some visa issues back in 1994. Before she could come back to Hunza again, she took her own life.
Diana MacArthur, Elizabeth’s mother, was heartbroken after was told about the depression her daughter was facing that made her take her own life. In 2007, Diana made her first trip to Pakistan and decided to help the community just as her daughter had wanted to.
It took her 10 years and 20 visits to Pakistan to construct the perfect building. The building introduced safe and green engineering practices to the area and was the first seismic proof school to be constructed in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The school has facilities for physically disabled children while providing standard education.
The Paki Govt has virtually outsourced social sector programs ( education, technical training, women empowerment etc etc ) to foreign NGOs for lack of funds . So much so, that they are running on-line ads in their newspapers asking foreign donors and Paki Ex Pats to sponsor a "Paki Child" by "indefinitely pledging $ 10-20 US Dollars per month !

Pakistan Has A "Donkey Market"

Asia'a biggest donkey market held in Pakistan
Sept 22, 2018
*Asia’s biggest donkey market is being held in Badin’s Tando Ghulam Ali.*
This 100-year-old market is spread out over four acres and has around 3,000 donkeys on display.
There were Lassi, Larree, Irani, Tharya, Takar and other types of donkeys at the market, which is being held for two days.
The donkeys are usually bought to pull carts or for other labour. Most donkeys at the market are brought by single owners who also use them to pull carts. They come and browse the market and buy another donkey or two if they take a liking to them.
According to some earlier Paki Reports the Chinese have also entered ( not sure under CPEC or outside CPEC ) the donkey market . The "reproductive organ " of the male animal is a prized aphrodisiac in the Chini domestic market , besides the meat and the skin , which are put to used in domestic cuisine and footware etc ! And of course, some domestic buyers purchase donkey meat and sell them in the local market as "gosht"

The Paki Foreign Office "Doctor" Goes Ballistic Again

India violated diplomatic norm by using abusive slang against Prime Minister of Pakistan: FO
Sept 22, 2018
ISLAMABAD - Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has said India has violated diplomatic norms by using an abusive slang against the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Talking to Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel this evening, Dr Faisal said Pakistan will not reciprocate in the same language as we do not believe in it.He said Indian occupation forces were badly exposed by United Nations High Commissioner's report presented in June this year.
He "forgot" to also mention that India "broke" Pakistan in two in 1971 !
Foreign Office spokesman said Indian occupation forces are involved in grave human rights violations in held Kashmir and now India is trying to hide its face because they have become completely isolated in the world.
The "Doctor" broke his own "promise" of "Pakistan will not reciprocate in the same language as we do not believe in it "

India Denies Visas To Paki Chefs For A World Chef Meet In Amritsar ! Pakis Say That They Will Lodge A Protest With WorldChef Association !

India denies visas to Pakistani chefs for Amritsar food festival
Sept 22, 2018
Pakistan Today
India on Saturday denied visas to Pakistani chefs intending to participate in the ‘World Heritage Cuisine and Food Festival’ scheduled to be held in Amritsar next month, as tensions between the two countries increased following New Delhi’s volte-face on a meeting between foreign ministers of both countries on the sidelines of the UNGA summit and the Indian Army chief’s inflammatory remarks against Pakistan. The festival will take place from October 12-14 with chefs from over 40 different countries taking part in the event.
Pakis should retaliate and deny visas to Sikh pilgrims from India visiting Nankana Sahib !
According to details, the Pakistani chefs have decided to lodge their protest to the secretary general of WorldChefs, a global network of chefs associations, in Paris against the Indian refusal to grant visas.
Pakis now will not be able to "showcase" their Paki Cuisine . And Indian Cuisine is poised to win "all the prizes" . Is it possible that there is some sort of an Indian conspiracy to deny Pakiland her rightful place in the world of cuisine
Ahmad Shafiq, secretary general of Pakistan Chefs’ Association, said that they had fulfilled all necessary documentation required for the visa but organisers of the event told them that their invitation had been cancelled owing to political pressure.
Pakis need to be reminded once again , that visa is not a "right" . It is a "privilege "

Small, meaningless victories are all they have to cling on to. Those are what keep the unwashed mob united as a nation. They will keep harping on it till the next decade, just like their 1992 world cup win.

Cop killed by ex-PM’s car
Pakistan Today
Sept 22, 2018
The driver of former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf was taken into custody after his official car hit and killed a motorcyclist in Islamabad on Saturday.
Before "PTI rule" all is bad. After "PTI rule" all is good .
According to the police, Ashraf’s driver Abid Nawaz was behind the wheels of his official vehicle, when he collided with the motorcyclist on the Islamabad Expressway near Zero Point. The victim, Zeeshan Abbasi, was a constable in the Rawalpindi Police.
The people surrounded the vehicle soon after the accident and called the authorities, who later took Nawaz along with the vehicle to the Aabpara Police Station.
Hope he is not handed over to ISI in Aabpara !
Abbasi was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) but could not survive. The deceased was driving in the fast lane when he was hit by the car. The expressway has four lanes with an additional lane for cyclists and motorcyclists on each side. A video in this regard was also leaked on social media.Aabpara Police Station SHO Inspector Khalid Mehmood Awan said that they had taken the driver as well as the car into custody and were registering a case of reckless driving against him.

This is what prompted Indian government to cancel the meeting the FMs.

ISI instructed J&K terrorists to kill SPOs, intercepted chats reveal
The government’s decision to call off proposed talks between external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the sidelines of within 24 hours of announcing the same was prompted by interception of messages from ISI handlers based in Pakistan directing their foot-soldiers in Kashmir to abduct and kill special police officers of Jammu & Kashmir police.
