1971 War is entirely a different story . The 2 nation theory was smashed . A new country was born. That day is not "celebrated" as a public holiday

Shouldn't the 1971 war be celebrated as a public holiday in Pakistan? That is when they came into existence in their current form as a TFTA country, rid of those SDRE Bangalis.

Notice anything odd about the seating positions when I'm the Dim met Pompeo and Gen Dunford? Immy duh Dimmy is sitting at the head of the table presiding the meeting with Pompeo and Dunford sitting to his right, on the side. Ordinarily, protocol requires that both sides should sit facing each other with respective leaders in the middle.

I bet this breach (insult) did not go unnoticed by Pompeo.

The Rocky Road To Naya Pakistan. Immy Announces A Slew Of Measures !

Whistle blower ordinance with 20% cash reward being implemented immediately in Pakistan
Sept 5, 2018

Some highlights ( in addition to the "whistle blowing program")
-
seeking information from foreign countries on illegal wealth.
Good luck !
He said the Prime Minister would get reports on implementation of these measures on fortnightly basis.

Government would also hire firms that would detect and help recover illegal money and in the case of recovery the firm would get an agreed share of the recovered amount.

A task force has been constituted on education led by Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood.

A uniform school education and certification system would be enforced throughout the country.

it has been decided that funds will be spent on establishing centers for street children and women.

The cabinet gave instructions to provide easy access in all buildings for disabled people, both at federal and provincial levels.

A strict notice will be taken if complaints are received against the attitude of staff deputed at foreign missions and embassies worldwide.

The cabinet has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to collect data of over 10,000 Pakistanis (onlee 10,000  ) incarcerated in various countries.

To a question the Minister said Islam is religion of peace and rights of minorities will be protected by the government. :((

'We will not bow to extremists': Govt hits back after vicious campaign targets Atif Mian

Makes one feel that the whole thing was elaborately concocted.

Step 1- Induct a high profile economist into some "advisory council", make sure to emphasise on his Ahmadi background

Step 2- Wait for the backlash, when it did not immediately materialise, stir the pot and bait the usual suspects so that atleast someone would respond.

Step 3- A trickle of tweets from parliamentarians and senators appears, but that's not what Immy's hukumat was looking for and it also send out a bad message overseas that all Baki lawmakers are bigots. So the tweets promptly disappeared.

Step 4- "Nudge" (forcibly if necessary) the rabble rousers such as Rizvi and lablick to go on their patented dharna and disruption. Wonder how many lifafa exchanged hands here.

Step 5- Issue a rejoinder such as above and try and send out the message that the Naya Bakistan "will not bow to extremists". Interestingly, this statement came out on the same day as Pompeo's visit.

Step 6- Once the matter "dies out", use this to beg the IMF, West and Cheeni for bailout and wheel out the usual "any failure to support tabdeeli in naya Bakistan will only strengthen the hands of the extremists."

Tabdeeli that.

https://www.dawn.com/news/1430911/samples-of-liquor-were-swapped-in-the-hospital-room-remarks-cjp

"I don't drink alcohol myself {but probably does with company!}, but it makes no difference to me if someone else does so," the top judge said. "It seems as though honey and oil {Bakistan - It's an Islamic paradise! The land of honey and oil} were recovered from the bottles after my visit."
Memon, his driver and two servants were booked by police last week under Section 4 (owning or possessing intoxicant) of the Zia-era law, The Prohibition (Enforcement of Hadd) Order (4 of 1979).

The section under which the case has been registered reads: "Whoever owns, possesses or keeps in his custody any intoxicant shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term, which may extend to two years, or with whipping not exceeding thirty stripes  , and shall also be liable to fine."

Nosy CJP Nisar knows his alcohol! So why is he so hot and bothered when he says "it makes no difference to me"?

this same chap was sitting in the same exact place in a meeting Imran had with his wc team mates and sidhu. This was before imran was officialy sworn in as PM.

An ADC that sits in on every meeting and takes notes on behalf of his minders at MI or ISI and not necessarily ISPR, which is just a PRO for propaganda.

CJP Nisar Issues Another "Order"

CJP Nisar directs measures to bring back Ishaq Dar in ten days

ISLAMABAD – The chief justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has issued orders to take measures for the return of former finance minister Ishaq Dar to Pakistan within ten days.
Resuming the hearing of a case related to the summons issued to Dar ...
“Where are NAB officials? What has NAB done up till now to bring back Dar?” inquired the Chief Justice.

IMO, Nisar's bark is worse than his bite
A NAB officer, present at the hearing, informed the bench that the anti-graft bureau had already written a letter to the Ministry of Interior for the issuance of a red warrant.
Ishaq Dar, a former senator, and a relative of former premier Nawaz Sharif, has been in London since October last year on account of his medical treatment and has been declared an absconder in the corruption case against him filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

And Bartania is supposed to bend over and "deport" Dar in the next PIA Flight to Isloo

Old News But Still Interesting News From The Land Of The Pure : Trident Gum Contains Pork And Hence Declared Haram By A Paki Mullah !

Spit it out now! Trident gum contain pork, declared haraam
Aug 19, 2016

For some valid reasons, there always looms a risk of the products not being halal over our heads and it’s also equally important to make sure that the local markets cater to this very need and issue. It’s not just local markets that have non-halal food coming in; turns out that imported products can be just as haraam. It is very likely that Trident is Haram. The popular chewing gum made by Mondelez International is “not certified halal”. A post on Trident’s Facebook page confirmed this as much.
And this isn’t the first time this has happened. Just recently, the popular toasted pastry, “Pop Tarts”, was allegedly banned from local markets because it contained haraam products too.So, inquiring about the products you are using is very important and you can always pick the alternatives that are certified as Halal.

This is one sure guaranteed way of eliminating your competition. Get a FATWA from a Mullah declaring your competition "haram" . And rake in the Moolah. The market price for the FATWA would of course be dependent on the "popularity" of the Islamic Preacher

The Kaptaan Cracks A Sporting Joke With Pompeo !

'A sportsman always is an optimist', says Imran Khan in meeting with Pompeo

Sept 6, 2018
The News International

ISLAMABAD: Responding to a query during his meeting with top US diplomat, Prime minister Imran Khan, who led Pakistan to World Cup victory in 1992, voiced his optimism, saying he has stepped on the field and he thinks he´s going to win, adding;"A sportsman always is an optimist."
Khan added that Pakistan looks forward to strengthening its ties with the United States based on trust and respect. :((
When asked about finding a new way forward with Washington, the cricketer-turned politician replied; "I have stepped on the field and I'm going to win," his remarks came during the meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters the meetings had been "positive", adding this was largely because the US and Pakistan now agreed that in Afghanistan "there is no military solution, we will have to go towards a political solution".
Taliban will do some mischief though

‘Optimist’ Imran upbeat about ‘resetting’ ties with United States – News Desk

Prime Minister Imran Khan, in Wednesday’s talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, said he is confident that he could ‘reset’ the fractured relationship with the United States.

“I’m a born optimist. A sportsman always is an optimist. He steps on the field and he thinks he’s going to win,” Imran told a reporter who asked him if he thought he could reset the two nations’ bilateral ties.

Both Imran and Pompeo struck a positive tone after the meeting, with the latter also expressing hope to reset relations. “We talked about their new government, the opportunity to reset the relationship between our two countries across a broad spectrum, including business ties and ending the war in Afghanistan,” he said.

PM Imran, Pompeo discuss ‘aid’ suspension, Afghan peace

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi also sounded positive claiming ‘forward movement’ after the US diplomat flew out.

“In all meetings, Secretary Pompeo emphasised the important role Pakistan could play in bringing about negotiated peace in Afghanistan, and conveyed the need for Pakistan to take sustained and decisive measures against terrorists and militants threatening regional peace and stability,” a statement issued by the Embassy of the United States read.

Pompeo, accompanied by Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff General Joseph Dunford and Trump’s special envoy Zalamay Khalilzad, first held talks with the foreign minister and then met the prime minister. Pompeo also held a separate meeting with army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The visit took place against the backdrop of simmering tensions between the two countries as the US cancelled $300 million ‘in aid’ to Pakistan in the days leading up to Pompeo’s trip.

“Today’s visit has set the stage for resetting the ties and the impasse in the relationship has been broken,” Qureshi told a news briefing on Wednesday. He said the two sides had a ‘candid and open discussions’ and concluded the solution to the Afghan problem would be reached through dialogue.

“This is the position Imran Khan has been advocating for years. It is a welcome development that the US has expressed readiness for direct talks with the Taliban,” he said.

Impasse in Pak-US ties broken in talks with Pompeo, says FM Qureshi

He said Secretary Pompeo’s visit also dropped a clear hint that the US had no plans to stay in Afghanistan forever, something that might dispel fears that Washington wants to extend its stay in the neighbouring country to keep a check on China and Russia.

The foreign minister accepted the invitation of Secretary Pompeo to visit Washington to take discussions forward. Qureshi also confirmed he would soon undertake a visit to Afghanistan at the invitation of his Afghan counterpart. “The future of Afghanistan and Pakistan is interlinked,” he stressed.

Girl moves SC to have her surname changed to 'Pakistan'
Sacrilege!!

The Supreme Court on Thursday heard a girl's unusual request to have her surname changed to "Pakistan" and to have her father's name removed from her government documents.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar... said that according to the law, a father is the head of a household  and there was no space in the law of Pakistan or the religion to make such a change.
The chief justice asked why the request submitted before the court had stated the girl's name as "Tatheer binte Pakistan" [daughter of Pakistan]

Different matters related to mutual cooperation and bilateral relations between two countries as well as relating to the trilateral relations of Iran-Pakistan-Turkey also came under discussion in a meeting between Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Yardakul here on Thursday

Bhutto’s role in the 1965 War

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a lone star under Ayub Khan’s regime
Bhutto’s vision of Pakistan was laced with a complicated identity of Socialism and Islam.
Bhutto saw Pakistan more as a part of the Middle East.
While he campaigned for Ayub’s presidential election campaign in December 1964 against Fatima Jinnah, not only did he accuse Fatima, the sister of MA Jinnah, of being a CIA agent but also promised masses that once they voted Ayub into presidency, he himself will make sure that an action oriented campaign is launched in Kashmir to liberate it from Indian occupation.
Bhutto and his like-minded allies in the military command decided to undertake an offensive in Kashmir.
With a mix of demagoguery and media propaganda, Bhutto as Foreign Minister created the impression that it was only because of lack of will on Pakistan’s part that the Kashmir issue had not been resolved in this country’s favour.
Ayub was presented a position paper on Kashmir just before the presidential elections, which he had not read until a couple of months after his election. Once read, Ayub rejected the proposed covert military action, which was later to be named ‘Operation Gibralter’ in Kashmir as he insisted on a diplomatic solution.
It would be hard to believe in today’s Pakistan that as Foreign Minister, Bhutto had the masses and the majority of the military command under his spell. Just months before the operation in Kashmir, Bhutto used to chair meetings of army commanders in the absence of Ayub.
Bhutto’s hawkish viewpoint on Kashmir were so upsetting for Commander in Chief General Musa Khan that he complained to Ayub that Bhutto was ‘brainwashing’ his commanders.
Despite all this, Bhutto and the military commanders he had influence over prevailed, all on the basis of hyped up stories about popular revolts breaking out in various parts of Kashmir.
To salvage its honour, Pakistan launched ‘Operation Grand Slam’, which also failed because of poor strategy and command.
Until September 5, 1965 the war was restricted to the peripheries of the LoC. This was according to Bhutto and his commanders’ plans. However, on September 6, India opened a new front on the international boundary at Lahore and Sialkot. Pakistan had to give many sacrifices to save these two cities.

2+2 talks: India, US ink critical defence pact; discuss cross-border terror, H-1B visa issue

PTI | Updated: Sep 6, 2018, 20:55 IST

NEW DELHI: A long-negotiated defence pact under which critical and encrypted defence technologies will be provided to the Indian military by the US was inked here on Thursday after the two countries held their first 2+2 dialogue. The two sides also discussed key issues, including cross-border terrorism, India's NSG bid and the contentious H-1B visa issue.

During the talks external affairs minister and defence minister had with US secretary of state Michael R Pompeo and defence secretary James Mattis, the two countries also decided to set up hotlines between them.

Addressing a joint press conference, Sushma Swaraj expressed satisfaction over the agenda of the inaugural dialogue while giving the details of the deliberations.

While Pompeo termed the 'Communications, Compatibility, Security Agreement (COMCASA)' India's defence capability and preparedness.

The COMCASA will facilitate India to obtain critical defence technologies from the US, and access critical communication network to ensure interoperability among the US and the Indian
armed forces.

It will also allow the installation of high-security US communication equipment on defence platforms being sourced from the US.

Swaraj also asserted that the dialogue reflected the desire of leadership of the two countries to further elevate the bilateral strategic communication on cross-cutting defence and security issues.

She said, "The recent decision by the US to put India in the list of countries eligible for Strategic Trade Authorization Tier-I License Exemption reflects India's robust and responsible export control policies. In our meeting today, we also agreed to work together to secure India's membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group at the earliest."

Talking about her bilateral meeting with Pompeo before the 2+2 dialogue, the external affairs minister said they reviewed the direction of the Indo-US relations in recent months and exchanged views on a number of regional issues of shared concern.

Terming the rapidly growing trade and investment ties as an important element of bilateral relationship, Swaraj said this growth is giving rise to new opportunities and a basis for more intense economic engagement which supports development of manufacturing, promotes knowledge and innovation, creates jobs and provides critical resources for growth.

"I sought secretary Pompeo's support to nurture our people-to-people links. Specifically, I conveyed our expectation for a non-discriminatory and predictable approach to the H-1B visa regime, given its high impact on innovation, competitiveness and people-to-people partnership, all of which are a vital source of strength for our relationship," Swaraj said.

She also noted that there was a growing convergence of views, including on the Indo-Pacific, during the discussion among the four ministers.

"We see the Indo-Pacific as a free, open and inclusive concept, with ASEAN centrality at the core and defined by a common rules-based order that both our countries are pursuing," the minister said, adding India welcomed the US' interest in expanding its economic footprint in the region as they "complement our own efforts".

Asserting that counterterrorism cooperation between India and the US has acquired a new qualitative edge and purpose, Swaraj said they have agreed to deepen ties in international forums like the United Nations and the Financial Action Task Force.

"We welcomed the recent designations of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists by the US. They underscore the international community's scrutiny over the threat of terrorism emanating from Pakistan, which has affected India and the US alike.
On the 10th anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, we recognized the importance of justice and retribution for the masterminds behind this terrorist attack," Swaraj said.

She also said, "India supports President Trump's South Asia Policy. His call for Pakistan to stop its policy of supporting cross-border terrorism finds resonance with us".

The two sides also discussed the ongoing efforts by India and the US in promoting an Afghan-led, Afghan-owned and Afghan government-controlled reconciliation process, that brings together all ethnic groups and political formation in that country, the minister added.

anupmisra-ji :
It is "fashionable" to blame Gen Yahya Khan for the 1971 fiasco and his military action in the then East Pakistan. Most Pakis now agree that it was the most fair election ever in their country . IMO,the megalomaniac ZA Bhutto is solely responsible for the break up of Pakistan ! Had he gracefully accepted the results of the election, and agreed to let Mujib become PM of Pakiland, maybe, just maybe, Bangladesh "creation" would not have happened that soon !

Wish List From A Paki "celebrating" Decriminalizing Of Gay Sex In India

Hope Pakistan follows suit. Protect the marginalized!

What more does this Paki want !
(i) Official status has already been sanctioned to Paki transgenders
(ii) Transgenders were "free" to put up their own candidate in the recently held election
(iii) If "rumours" are to be believed , Imran had/has a transgender boyfriend/ girlfriend

PS: Never mind that transgenders are a "special target" in the bacha baazi capital of Pakistan ( Peshawar) ruled by Imran Khan Party

The general elections of 1970 (December) were by far the only fair elections ever held in pakhanistan. Not the fairest! Prior to that and after that, none of the elections have ever been fair.

But, fairness in the election process and fairness after the elections are two different things (kind of like "freedom of speech" and "freedom after free speech"). What followed was a general civil war for reasons that we all know. Suppose if the outcome of the post-elections was fair and if Mujib was allowed to become the PM, would the pure breeds in the west have reconciled with an SDRE running the nation from Dacca? Never. Bhutto realized this in the 60's and used the civil war situation to his advantage. My bet is that he even instigated Yahya and Niazi to "go forth and multiply" with the "bengalees". Recall the famous speech - "jahannum mein jao!" to the pakjabis?

Many pakis had realized the futility of keeping East Pakhanistan together with the western part much earlier than the 1970s elections. The civil war did not erupt one fine day, suddenly. It was in the making from the very get go of 1947. East Bengal was promised significant autonomy but did not get it. Pakhanistan was originally planned as a loose federation with promises made to the Sindhis, Baluchis and Pashtoons, which as we all know know, was never djinnah's intent.

So, my point is that it is the pakjabi character and hubris that were responsible for that country's breakup. Bhutto just played to the gallery for his personal gains.

Paki Ayeshas Resort To Shoplifting To Make Ends Meet ! . Get Beaten With Sticks By Abduls !

VIDEO: Women suspected of shoplifting in Lahore beaten up with cane
Sept 5, 2018

LAHORE – Two women received a beating by shopkeepers in Batapur area of Punjab capital area after being accused of stealing from a garments store.A video making rounds on social media shows the shopkeepers hitting the women with a large cane and then slapping and kicking them.
In an Islamic Republic,- which Pakistan is - the place for a woman is in her home . From that point of view, the "punishment" can be justified
One of the men has been identified as Chaudhry Ejaz Manawan, the owner of the shop, and head of the Kabbadi Association.
Any correlation between the beating and Manawan being the Head Of The Local Kabbadi Club
Manawan told the media that both the women stole a bundle of clothes worth over Rs10,000 from his shop.
Wow ! The idea being to sell the stuff in the "chor bazar" and bring some bacon home for the family
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident, summoning a report from the inspector general of Punjab.

IMO, "Human Rights" "Minister" Mazari ( being a woman herself) should also "take notice" and do the needful
