Rest snipped ....
Imran Khan went on to say the government will go to the International Monetary Fund after thorough deliberations, Radio Pakistan reported. Immy Dimmy : You have to go and beg at IMF's Doors - No Ifs No Buts!

All ministers will be given certain targets and they have to arrive office sharp at 9:00 am.

PEREGRINE-JI :
-You are absolutely correct on this "no -ifs , "no-buts" business . The "thorough deliberations" is just a "face saving" device, in keeping with the Echendee factor ! But then Massa also is "concerned" about Pakiland going rogue . The "Islam Bum" falling into wrong hands is one . And USA still needs Pakistan for land access to Afghanistan for keeping open supply lines etc etc

- And "the ministers ....... have to arrive office sharp at9.00am , BS, at least IMO , is "wholesale plagiarized" from Modi-ji's Rule Book
- Let use see if the Kaptaan himself sets an example. This "guy" was known to have a "very tardy" attendance record in the Paki National Assembly
- And he has promised to "answer questions" himself in the House

China says no to Winnie the Pooh film over comparisons with president

Image

Chinese censors have banned Christopher Robin, an adaptation of Winnie the Pooh ostensibly over many using the fictional character nationwide to take potshots at President Xi Jinping, The Hollywood Reporter claimed in a report.

The trend first started in 2013 when Jinping visited the United States and an image of him walking alongside then American president Barack Obama was likened to one featuring Pooh and Tigger, according to The Guardian.

Image

Jinping was compared to the fictional character again in 2014 while pictured meeting Japan’s Shinzo Abe with the latter taking the form of Eryore.

Image

Censors began cracking down on such images after comparison grew and memes went viral. Last month, the website of US television station HBO was blocked in the wake of comedian John Oliver repeatedly making fun of Jinping by comparing him to Pooh. The segment also shed light on the state’s dismal rights record.

According to Global Risks Insights, The Chinese government views the comparisons and mockery as “a serious effort to undermine the dignity of the presidential office and Xi himself.”

Robin’s is the second Disney film to be denied release in China this year. Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time was rejected earlier.

Loose Mouth Asif Forced To Defend Himself Re: Raheel's N.O.C

Islamic military alliance: NOC granted to Raheel Sharif after due process, says Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD – Former army chief General (retd) Raheel Sharif was granted a no-objection certificate (NOC) to head a Saudi-led military alliance after due process, said PML-N MNA Khawaja Asif on Tuesday.“Gen Raheel applied for a NOC and it was approved by MOD (Ministry of Defence) after due process,” Khawaja Asif, who was the then federal defence minister, tweeted.
His response came shortly after the Supreme Court was told that Gen (retd) Raheel Sharif had not obtained a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the cabinet before going to Saudi Arabia to head the 41-nation military alliance.
Can anyone in his right mind imagine, Ganja's nemisis ( Raheel Sharif) sitting and waiting to see if the Paki bureaucracy will "grant" him the "coveted NOC " in time ! Those kind of "plum jobs" ( We are talking $ 1 Million per annum plus perks ! ) do not knock on your door every day . So, NOC or no NOC, he dashes to Saudia. ( A private plane was ready for him !) The paper work can follow in due course ( but it never did , according to the SC !)
Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan told the court as per the law, the NOC is issued by the federal government to government officers willing to join service in foreign lands. The NOC is approved by the federal cabinet under government service rules, he said. :((

Defence minister must be the most useless job in the entire Paki cabinet. They just need some face to maintain the pretense of civilian control. I wonder what the staff in the Defence Ministry even do all day since all decisions are taken at GHQ anyway.

2695 police personnel still guarding ousted PM’s Jaati Umrah residence

According to reports a mighty amount of 2695 police personnel are guarding the Sharif family’s Jaati Umrah residence despite the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif. The reports claim that at least two Sp’s and more than a hundred SHO’s are assigned on the farm house’s security as they guard the premises in three shifts. The list also includes 400 Elite Force officers.
Not sure what is the purpose being served in publishing this report .
- That Paki Taxpayer is still "paying" for the disgraced and demonized PM monster residence? .
-Or the magnanimous "new" govt of Imran is leaving no stone un-turn to save the Ganja Family Palace from the wrath of the "angry PTI awaam. If security is removed, they will torch the whole edifice down in a jiffy? ( Ganja's mommy is still residing there in the complex !)

PS: It is a disgrace on the face of the Deep State that they refused to provide decent amenities to an ex Prime Minister ( dirty bathroom, small jail cell, treated like a common criminal !) . And to top it all, denied him proper medical treatment because of his health problems ( heart condition, diabetes, kidney problem ) until they were forced to transfer him to a proper place

Someone Is Sending A "Deadly Message" To The GOP ! Girl Schools Are Not Halal Under Sharia

Two girls’ schools set ablaze in Pishin
Aug 7, 2018

Days after at least 12 schools were burnt down in Gilgit-Baltistan’s (GB) Diamer district, unknown assailants on Tuesday night allegedly set ablaze two girls’ schools in the Khanozai tehsil of Pishin district, reported a private media outlet. According to media reports, no casualties were reported as the schools were closed at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, Balochistan Education secretary has said that a strict action would be taken against those involved. It merits mention that the incident comes four days after some 12 schools were attacked and torched by unknown assailants in Diamer. At least half of the attacked institutions were girls-only schools.According to authorities, explosions were also set off in at least two of the schools.
It appears to be the work of the Bad Taliban ( otherwise also known as TTP) . The Paki Govt has claimed many many times that the TTP is a veritable arm of RAA . Therefore, by extension, RAA is responsible for the havoc

Imran's "Victory" Is Bad News For Reham Khan :P

PTI’s ‘obnoxious’ supporter bullies Reham Khan
Aug 7, 2018

A video of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter interrupting interview of Reham Khan, ex-wife of prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan, is doing rounds on social media, wherein the PTI supporter could be seen bullying Reham. The video starts with the PTI female supporter asking Reham if she will join Ayesha Gulalai’s party but before Reham could finish answering the question, the supporter lambastes her with more questions, asking if she is jealous of Bushra Bibi.( AKA Peerni !) .“You have the same mentality as Gulalai,” the female supporter continues her tirade against Reham.
The female supporter also criticises Reham Khan’s son, Sahir Khan, for apparently looking at the woman as if he is “planning to murder her”. To which, Reham replies that you are being rude to her mother that’s why he is looking at you like that. Reham could be seen trying to calm down the woman throughout the video.

The whole fracas between Reham and a Muslim Mohtarma ( could be a non Paki from the accent !) appears to be in UK -istan , where Reham currently resides

No Place For Sikhs In Imran Khan's Naya Pakistan

Pakistan has NO place for its Sikh Minorities
Aug 6, 2018
farahkhanindian.blogspot.com

It is no secret that minorities are not safe in Pakistan. Pakistan has a miserable record of meting out step-motherly treatment to its Sikh minorities residing in the Islamic county. In recent times, a spate of killings directed by the ISI supported extremists against the Sikhs has raised concerns worldwide.Pakistan is the birthplace of the religion of Sikhism. Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, was born in the village of Nankana Sahib near Lahore in the Punjab province of Pakistan in 1469.“My ancestors have lived here for hundreds of years alongside Muslims but now we are being wiped out because we have a different religion, because we look different,” said Balbir Singh a young volunteer with the Pakistan Sikh Council.
But Paki propaganda persists in painting a positive picture of Sikhs living in Pakiland ! There is a (showpiece) Brand New Sikh TV Anchor . Then there were pictures of Sikhs distributing "langar" to needy Pakis during the "Holy" Month of Ramzan. And now, there is even a Sikh Fauji Afsar !
On May 29, 2018, Charanjeet Singh, a prominent Sikh community leader and human rights activist, was shot dead in broad daylight at his grocery store by unidentified bike-borne Islamic militants. This incident happened when he was sitting in his shop near Scheme Chowk, Budhbir area of Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in north-western Pakistan. The much-loved peace activist succumbed to his wounds and died on his way to the hospital.
Sikh who have been long time residents of KP Province are leaving their home and hearth and seeking shelter in the environs of Nankana Sahib, where they are hoping to be "more secure" .
Charanjeet Singh had moved to Peshawar almost 20 years back and was a respected Sikh leader of Pushtun Sikhs in Peshawar. The involvement of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is an open secret. Baba Gurpal Singh, a community spokesperson, said, “With Charanjeet’s death it is as if the arms of the community have been cut off.”According to the Pakistan Sikh Council, the murder of Charanjeet Singh is the tenth “targeted killing” of a prominent Sikh since 2014.
Do not think, IMO, that , Imran Khan as PM is going to be any difference to the besieged Sikhs or other minorities like Hindus and Christians .
The disrespectful and merciless attitude of Pakistan government towards Sikhs was again apparent when Pakistan’s first-ever Sikh police officer Gulab Singh was manhandled and forcibly evicted from his house in Lahore's Dera Chahal along with his children and wife.Singh said, 'My turban was forced open and hair was untied. This is how Sikhs are treated in Pakistan.”Singh pleaded to police to grant him 'at least 10 minutes' to be in the place where they have been staying since 1947. But all in vain, Pakistan authorities showed no compassion.

And yet Khalistanis in Canada , UK and other places have the "hots" for Pakistan  Defies logic !

Sarkari Paper Confirms That "Major Oil Find In Balochistan" Is Indeed Fake News

Largest oil reserves found in Pakistan? Here’s why this may be fake news

LAHORE – The financially-strapped Pakistanis were left pleasantly surprised after being informed by leading media outlets that largest oil reserves have been unearthed in the country, however, the ground realities confirm that the piece of news might appear to be fake.
Pakistani media is currently flooded with speculative and fake news owing to the fraught election season and possible appointments in days to come, however, one of the news story carried by multiple media outlets quoted minister for Maritime Affairs and Foreign Affairs Abdullah Hussain Haroon, as saying that ExxonMobil (multinational oil and gas company) has indicated that it was close to hitting huge oil reserves near the Pak-Iran border, which could be even bigger than the Kuwaiti reserves.
Minister spreading Pakistaniyat to boost the morale in the business community
Though Haroon made the comments on Friday while addressing business leaders at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) adding that the government had already taken an undertaking from the company to set up a generation complex worth $10 billion.
However, the statement seems contrary to the facts and virtually another piece of FAKE news, an indication of which is multiple factors.
Firstly, ExxonMobil is not operating in Balochistan province and is not involved in any exploration. It is only working on an offshore field with ENI, PPL, and OGDC with a 25 percent interest. Secondly, Pakistan Petroleum Information Service, which keeps a record of explorations in the country, has not mentioned the ‘so-called’ discovery of huge oil reserves on its website.
The oil discovery is reminiscent of the major reserves of gold, silver, copper and iron ore which were claimed to have been discovered from Punjab’s Chiniot district in 2015.
At that time, then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and notable scientists felicitated the nation, with a hope that the minerals would boost the economy of the country, however, what happened to the discovery, is still unknown to many.
Answer is Ganja and his brother "secretly" developed the mine and shipped / smuggled all the gold, silver, copper and iron legally and illegally to various countries and the proceeds were deposited into his personal London Bank Account

Onlee 100 Pakis Deported From Saudia

100 Pakistanis deported from Saudi Arabia
Aug 7, 2018

LAHORE: 100 Pakistani nationals have been deported from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. As per media reports, the deported Pakistanis arrived in Lahore through flight no 734 of Saudi Airlines where immigration authorities of Allama Iqbal International Airport gave permission to the deported persons to go home after completing the procedure of immigration and scrutinising their travelling documents.
The passengers said that the Saudi government put many of the passengers in jail, even though they were having the travel documents, and then deported them to Lahore after sentencing them for three months.
The arrogant Saudis call ALL Pakis "Indians" and /or Miskeen  It is high time that Raheel use his "pull" with MBS to ease some of the hardship faced by this fellow Pakis !

Another Example Of Imran's Naya Pakistan

CDA official blackmail and raped girl in broad daylight in Islamabad Park: Media report
Aug 7, 2018

ISLAMABAD - Capital Development Authority (CDA) official allegedly blackmailed and raped a girl in broad daylight in a park on August 2. Two of his accomplices watched and assisted him in the crime, local media has reported.
The victim was with a boy at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park) when they were approached by a man claiming to be from CDA . The man, along with his accomplices, harassed them and blackmailed them. They were told that they would be taken to the police station where their parents would be called.
Under Sharia it is haram for a boy and a girl or a man and a woman to walk together in a park !
The girl had told the officials that that had done nothing wrong and asked him to call the police if he wanted to do so. The boy thought that they were doing this for money and gave them Rs2,000 after which he was asked to leave the park. The boy had been told that they would escort the girl from a different gate.
Later, the girl was taken to a secluded area where one of the men raped her while the other two watched. The official who had raped her dropped her off to a nearby metro station and was threatened the victim into silence.
The victim approached Margalla Police on Monday and registered a complaint against the culprits. In her application, she wrote that she was bringing the matter on record so that no other woman has to go through the torment that she suffered and so that the culprits can be punished.
Bring it to the attention of CJP Saquib . He may "order" immediate arrest of the culprits. Case closed !!!

I've posted this here before as well. Nankana Saheb would be the LAST place to expect safety.
I travelled to Pakistan with a Sikh Jatha to visit the holy sites of the Sikhs sometime in the early 90s. Spent about 10 days over there and visited Panja Saheb, Nankana Saheb, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Of all these places, it was Nankana Saheb that stood out with the most bigoted and openly hateful people. Street side vendors refused to serve us in plates because they were 'reserved for our Muslim brethren'. Shopkeepers selling trinkets made it be known that they were actually doing us a favour by taking our money and selling us stuff.
The experience in Lahore and Rawalpindi was quite the opposite, btw.
So yes, Nankana Saheb is unlikely to be a safe refuge for long, IMO.

Pardon my Ignorance and Naiveté, but I can foresee that one day - I Hope against Hope it never happens - the Ātaṅkavadīsthanis will stop all Sikh and Hindu Yatris to perform Pilgrimages at their respective Holy sites.

Is it not possible for Hindus and Sikhs to join together and Construct a Larger Identical Shrine(s) - similar to the ones in Nankana Saheb - in Indian Punjab as Guru Nanak Dev Ji is revered by both Religions in Punjab and I am sure in other parts of India?

So when the unthinkable occurs our Sikh and Hindu Brethen and Sisters are not at a loss and have a place of Worship available.

Once again I am sorry to make this suggestion.

PIA "BASHING DAY" : TWO STORIES MAKE IT TO THE PAKI NEWS TODAY
1. PIA "Almost Killed A Baby." And The Bearded Attendee In The Video Is "Trying" To Calm Things Down

2. PIA probes video of mother pleading with crew to open door as her infant suffocates

IMO, CJP Saquib needs to focus at least 99.99% of his A.D.D time to "fix this perennial problem". Or Imran Khan's Naya Pakistan will remain just a dream

3. According to the latest report, the child in the story has reportedly died !

Paki "Students" In Australia Become Collateral Damage Because Of The "Special Reputation" Of The Islamic Republic

Pakistani student punched on campus in Australia
Aug 8, 2018
Express Tribune

A 21-year old student of Pakistani origin was attacked by a group of people at the University of Newcastle, Australia. The assault victim, Abdullah Qaiser studies at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus. He recalls the details of his attack as he recovers from a severe knuckle punch attack which disfigured his nose.
Qaiser recounted driving his car on Ring Road Callaghan, when he was ambushed by a group of six people. He told SBS Urdu that a man opened the car door and punched him in the face while others snatched his mobile phone. Another man in the group hollered at him: “Go back to your f***ing country. You don’t belong here”.
Qaiser received severe injuries and needed the help of a friend to describe the attack. “It was so sudden. I was not expecting something like this; I just tried to stop them,” Qaiser said.
Once the group left, he dragged himself to the campus gym from where an ambulance was called. At the hospital, the police recorded his statement. Qaiser will be receiving further treatment in the coming days.Possession of knuckle dusters is a serious offence in Australia and anyone found carrying them can be charged an on-the-spot fine or even sued.
There is no doubt that racial elements are responsible for such "sad" incidents. But then the Pakis are targeted because of the practice of "Pakistaniyat " which may include immigration fraud, petty crimes, "Sharia inspired behavior" etc etc

After 100 Days, Things Will Be Rosy In "Naya Pakistan" :D

No relief for people likely in first 100 days of PTI government
DAWN
Aug 8, 2018

ISLAMABAD: The incoming Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government plans to offer profitable dollar bonds to overseas Pakistanis, place China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) agreements before parliament, but is unlikely to offer any relief to the people in the first 100 days in office. Hope is eternal !
Speaking at the first formal press conference after the recent elections, the likely new finance minister Asad Umar said that offering any relief or subsidy to the people in first 100 days was like giving lollipops. He said the first 100 days would also not see a decision that would change the destiny of the nation, but a clear direction on what “we promised and where we are headed for stock-taking”.
IMO, it will depend whether IMF may oblige Pakiland or not . It is also possible that Umer may promise one thing to IMF ( to get the money ASAP) and tell a different story to the awaam to not dash their hopes . Stay tuned !
He complained that the local and international media did not quote him accurately in recent reports about the need for $12 billion foreign financing, privatisation of 200 companies, including the Pakistan International Airlines and Pakistan Steel Mills, and so on. He said there was no discussion so far on revising budget and non-transparency in foreign loans was the real challenge.
As they say, the devil is in the details, but it is important that he does not "shoot off his mouth" against Massa , as he did , a few weeks ago, when he received a "solid reply" from Pompeo  !
Mr Umar said the PTI so far did not have access to real data, nor did it have any outside view of the latest situation but based on the best available information, one thing was clear that the requirement was reasonably urgent to examine all available options to finance external account. “The situation is such that we don’t have the luxury of choosing one option, but will have to plan all options in parallel, including the IMF support within six weeks.”
Mr Umar claimed that no real reforms had taken place over the past five years and it was not only failure of the government but also the IMF as the two together “kept glossing over the challenges with Panadol to bring down fever instead of curing the disease with real reform”. Many observers believe that Pakistan is in the ICU , increase in fever, only one of the symptoms. Kidney and heart problems are very severe right now
He said there was no truth in reports about deals to free former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He said the best relief for the people could be real reforms that included reduction in indirect taxes which have touched 90pc now and increase recoveries from direct taxes. He said Imran Khan would not distribute jobs in D-Chowk, but increase revenues, reduce expenditures and open up six areas for investments and job creation.
One of his main problems would be to dampen down the euphoria that has been created, specially by The Khan, in his quest to get votes :( The Naya Pakistan (empty) slogan. And the "promise" of Islamic Welfare State ( whatever that means !)

Get Ready For The Kaptaan's "Core Issue" Speech At The UN General Assembly Meet In September

PM designate Imran Khan unlikely to address UNGA in September: sources
Aug 8, 2018

ISLAMABAD - Prime minister-designate Imran Khan has not decided at the moment to address a session of the United Nations General Assembly in September after taking oath of the office, PTI has revealed.
Lodhi met with Khan at his Bani Gala residence last Sunday. However, PTI officially did not release any statement regarding the meeting. At the meeting, Lodhi congratulated Khan on his party's victory in the July 25 elections.
Khan's maiden speech will "help a lot" in flogging the dead horse of the so-called core issue - at least for a while !
When asked whether Khan in his meeting with Lodhi expressed his desire for a rousing address to the UN session like Bhutto had delivered in 1971, Durrani said that this point did not come under discussion at the meeting.
IMO, I do not think that The Khan would go that far to replicate the megalomaniac Bhutto, when for drama purposes, he cut off his speech midway and he walked out of the UN room, to protest the so-called dismemberment of the Eastern Wing Of Pakiland.

Thailand court orders extradition of Chhota Shakeel's aide to India - ToI
A criminal court in Thailand on Wednesday ruled that close associate of underworld don Chhota Shakeel, Sayyed Muzakkir Muddassar Hussain alias Munna Jhingra is an Indian citizen and consequently ordered his repatriation back to India, reported news agency ANI.

The case has been under trial since April 2017 and involved a dispute between India and Pakistan over the citizenship of Munna, who has been lodged in a Bangkok prison since September 2000.

In April, this year, the Thailand court had allowed the deposition of 41 Pakistani witnesses who were trying to establish Munna’s Pakistani origin. His second wife and children are in Pakistan, a fact that was referred to as proof of his Pakistani nationality by the Pakistani witnesses.

However, India’s claims on Jhingra were backed by Mumbai crime branch submitting dossiers to the Thai court.

Jhingra studied in Ismail Yusuf College in Jogeshwari and was married to a woman in Mumbai and has children with her. His first family still lives in Jogeshwari.

After being released on bail in 1997, Jhingra reportedly fled to Dubai and then to Karachi in 1999 to join the D-gang run by Dawood Ibrahim.

After lying low for few years, he was sent to Thailand and assigned with the task to kill Chhota Rajan.

Jhingra was arrested in 2002 and charged with attempted murder and murder by Bangkok police. He was sentenced to 14 years in jail by a Bangkok court.

When India moved the Thailand court to seek his extradition, Pakistan staked claim leading to a prolonged legal tussle.

Just look at the terrible irony in the above news item.

Here is a country that refuses to take back bodies of its own soldiers, but stakes claim to a terrorist who is clearly not from its own country!

Another twist to the "Major Oil Find In Balochistan " Fake News" . It is not 100% Fake Yet . There might be a germ of a truth in it . ! Read the below TWO stories and draw your own conclusions :D

Story # 1

Foreign Minister Abdullah Haroon clarifies news item on ExxonMobil
Aug 7, 2018
Business Recorder - Fawad Maqsood

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Maritime Affairs and Foreign Affairs Abdullah Hussain Haroon on Tuesday clarified a news item published in a section of press, saying that his statement on oil drilling by ExxonMobil should be taken without implying any further meaning to it. IMO, the statement by the Minister, who himself is a businessman, was made to boost the sagging morale of the Karachi Business Community , due to the general pessimistic economic condition that Pakiland is going through right now !
The Minister in a statement issued for press said ExxonMobil had purchased a block of Pakistan’s deep sea drilling rights off the Indus Delta for exploration.
“Their drilling is yet to start as depths are very intense but they are very hopeful of success in discovering a big cache of oil,” he said in a statement issued to press.
He added, “While the situation is not only good news and hopefully rewarding to Pakistan, anything further should not be added and may not be construed by my talk at FPCCI etc.”
A national daily in its August 4th publication had quoted Abdullah Haroon during his address at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) as saying that ExxonMobil was close to hitting huge oil reserves near the Pak-Iran border, which could be even bigger than the Kuwaiti reserves.

Story # 2 Background story to the "bombastic announcement" by the Caretaker Foreign Minister

Assignment deed signed for offshore block

APP
May 29, 2018

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday witnessed the signing ceremony of Deed of Assignment of 25pc Participating Interest in Offshore Indus 6 (Block 2265-1).
The deed was executed among the Directorate General Petroleum Concession, Ministry of Energy-Petroleum Division, GHPL, Eni Pakistan Ltd (8.34pc), ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Pakistan BV, OGDCL (8.33pc) and PPL (8.33pc) to effectuate the transfer of participating interest.
The Block 2265-1 is considered one of the most promising blocks in offshore Pakistan. An ultra-deep exploration well is planned to be spud in the first quarter of 2019 in the Block for which preparations were underway.
Exploration success in offshore Pakistan will change the energy landscape of the country.
So, as it stands right now, just an agreement is signed on MAY 29, 2018 , by the previous govt . Nothing has been officially heard from Exxon yet ( these ventures takes months and years to frution !) and the Minister Haroon starts "shooting off his mouth" based on the fact of a piece of paper signed ! Typical Paki bravado. ( "where action is lacking, "buzz words" make up the slack," syndrome  )
This assignment is of great significance as it is the continuation of an increased interest from major oil companies in offshore exploration with Eni, reconfirming its long lasting commitment to Pakistan and ExxonMobil returning after 33 years. :((
The joint venture is led by Eni Pakistan Ltd (Operator), a subsidiary of Eni SpA.

DAWN Newspaper is of course owned by the Hon Minister' s family :D

They have no problem claiming the Taj Mahal and Qutb Minar and other Pashtun/Tajik/Mughal/Turk achievements in India but get butthurt when we rightfully claim the IVC. A quick look at genetics proves the people are the locals who mixed with pastoralists that arrived after the downfall of the IVC.

mrfreeze2000 [score hidden] 4 hours ago

I find the claim to IVC retarded because there was no India or Pakistan at that time.

Hindus can claim to IVC because a lot of Hindu religion derives from the roots laid in IVC.

Can't see how Muslims claim IVC because little of their religion or culture derives from it

So yes, Nankana Saheb is unlikely to be a safe refuge for long, IMO.
kancha Ji :

Well! There is no concept of pilgrimage as Guru Nanak Dev ji himself taught us. Like he says to the Haji's going to mecca that without good deeds we will both cry.
Here is a narration by Bhai Bala who went along with Guru Nanak Dev and Bhai Mardana to Mecca. They were stopped outside the city while Mardana went to do his Hajj. Guru Nanak dev ji kept telling people the following.

and original Gurudwaras use to

1. Society aka Sangat coming together and singing devotional kirtan.
2. Food for everybody through Sewa (volunteerism).
3. Shelter place for travelers (Sarai).
4. Educational place aka School for the children of the Sangat.
5. A place for a doctor aka Vaid where sangat can visit.
6. Guru Hargobind ji started tradition of wrestling bouts, exercises, swimming, keeping body fit, etc.

Gurudwaras are suppose to be community centers of the like minded Sangat.

I also went to Bakistan in 2006 without part of any Jatha. The caretakers of the Gurudwara Nanakana sahib were locked inside the gurudwara while the person managing the lock was sleeping in his house. We waited for 30 minutes before he biked in and made us write down in a register that we were Sikhs visiting. There was no Guru Granth Sahib the Nishan Sahib (Flag) was torn. The Sikh children (locked inside) were playing by themselves (there are about 4 families living inside Nankana Sahib). There was no prasad either. It is just a building.

Finance Minister Asad Umer Keeps The Door Open For Chinese Bailout Option As Well :D

Pakistan to decide on IMF or Chinese bailout by end of Sept: Asad Umar
Reuters
Aug 7, 2018

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will decide on whether to seek a bailout from the International Monetary Fund or friendly nations such as China by the end of September, according to Asad Umar, the finance minister-in-waiting of the incoming government.
“We have to evaluate all options in parallel,” Umar, 56, told reporters in Islamabad. “By end of September, I should be able to sit here and tell you this is the way we are going.”

-If IMF obliges, they will of course, demand their own pound of flesh, for giving loan at a nominal rate ! ( no public subsidies for electricity, water, increase tax collection enforcement, privatization of "jewels" like PIA, devaluation etc etc ).

-If they go the Chini route, says goodbye to Paki Sover-virginity, Chinification of Paki economy will increase drastically , dumping ground for shoddy Chini goods and devastation of local industry. And bargain hunting for Chini Hans out looking for Paki Ayeshes ( AKA CPEC marriages :D ) . The mullahs will say that Malsi is in danger ! And of course, the interest rate will be market rates ! And Massa will be mad !
IOW, Pakistan is caught between a rock and a hard place . In both options, say good bye to Imran's Naya Pakistan and the Islamic Welfare State

Imran Khan accepts President Rouhani’s invitation to visit Iran

-May not sit well with the Saudis, IF , he visits Iran first and Saudia later on , at least IMO
- Imran, IMO, may also pursue policies with respect to Iran , that may not go well in Ryadh !
- Imran hates Sharif Clan. In his mind , he associates the Saudis with the corrupt Shariffs
- Two years ago, he made some "noise" about Paki troops that will be used as cannon fodder, if they were to be sent to Saudia to be at Yemen front. The idea was shelved.
- Imran also realizes the "fauj factor" in all of this . After all , the Saudis "own" almost 30% of Paki Co. shares and have a proven history of financially bailing out Pakiland .( 1 out of a total of 3.5, the others being Massa, China and 50% allocated to Japan  ) The Iranis are more shrewd . Sometimes they "cosy" up to India, and when " Ummah" fever strikes, then sometimes to Pakistan " And the fauj is still full of Saudi pasand senior afsars ( Raheel was one of them !) . And the Saudis are still dependent/ interested in the "off the shelf" purchase of The Bum . So, all this may complicate matters for The Khan.
- Maybe, in this "invite" is the first seed of discord between the "fiercely independent" and "unpredictable" (puppet) Khan and the "puppet master" Fauj , who is pulling the strings behind the Show

Some Wikipedia Details About The Kaptaan's Four Legged Friends

Imran Khan’s pets have their own Wikipedia page, leaving us confused
Aug 8, 2018

LAHORE – Wikipedia deleted pages belonging to Bakhtawar and Asifa Bhutto-Zardari stating that ‘notability is not inherited’. However the contradiction of the statement that Imran Khan’s dogs have their own Wikipedia page now named as “Pets of Imran Khan”.
Khan has five dogs named Sheru, ( not the original "Sheru" who died !) Motu, Sherni, Pidu and Maximus, according to Wikipedia.
( I believe that one of the dogs, he inherited from The Kammundu, when he left for Dubai in a hurry !) So, this "dog thing" is a common factor between DJinnah, Mush and Imran , all so-called "liberals "
Image
Wikipedia justifies the attention to the pets by comparing it to the pages of the US presidential pets.“Wikipedia articles cover notable topics. If a topic or subject receives significant coverage in reliable secondary sources such as newspapers, then the topic/subject is considered notable and can have its standalone entry on Wikipedia”, Saqib of Wikipedia’s help desk confirmed.
There have been various rumours of Khan getting into marital tiffs due to his dogs. Even though his wives have denied such allegations, the dogs have been a topic of interest in Reham Khan’s book as well in which she often discusses the pets of the now PM alleging that Imran also practiced favouritism when it came to the furry friends. Why should he prefer Reham's dog, when he has got his own Pidu  . And of course, he is partial to Sulieman and Kasim ( whom he has not disowned , than to his step sons from Reham and now the Peerni
Sheru was a gift from former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and as per reports it is said that Sheru has passed away some time ago.

100 Pakistanis deported from Saudi Arabia

LAHORE : At least 100 Pakistani workers were deported by Saudi authorities on Wednesday after being incarcerated for months, Express News reported.

The deportees arrived in Lahore via Saudi Airlines flight SV-734. Upon arrival, they were questioned and processed by immigration authorities and were later let go. The deportees said that they had pursued employment opportunities abroad for a better future.

In March, thousands of Pakistanis were imprisoned in Saudi Arabia and dozens were sentenced to death in the kingdom. Sixty-six Pakistanis were beheaded in the country between 2014 and 2017 alone, the report entitled “Caught in a Web” said.

Pakistani migrants are “exceptionally disempowered and marginalised,” Saroop Ijaz, an HRW researcher told AFP, adding that the group faces a “premodern discriminatory” criminal justice system in the kingdom.

In February 2017, at least 39,000 Pakistanis were deported from the kingdom within a span of four months, according to a Saudi Gazette report.

Pakistan defends its economic partnership with China amid US criticism

Pakistan on Wednesday defended its economic partnership with China, amid fears that the terms of opaque multi-billion dollar investments by Beijing could be exacerbating Islamabad's economic woes as it considers a fresh International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout.

“We have noted recent media reports questioning the viability of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), claiming that it would create an unbearable debt burden for Pakistan,” the government said in a statement issued to the media.

“Such media reports are often one-sided, distort facts, and are based on irresponsible statements by individuals who either have no understanding of CPEC or are driven by ulterior motives,” the statement continued.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an ambitious plan by Beijing to build infrastructure in Pakistan, mainly energy and transport, connecting the western Chinese region of Xinjiang with the Arabian Sea.

It is part of China's massive “Belt and Road” initiative seeking to revive ancient trade routes through a massive rail and maritime network via $1 trillion in investments across Asia and Europe.

But the opaqueness of the CPEC terms has led to concerns as Pakistan faces a looming balance-of-payments crisis, with analysts saying it will need to take urgent action, potentially seeking a bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“It is because of the favourable financing arrangements that Pakistan opted for Chinese investment under CPEC,” said the statement issued by the caretaker administration.

“China stepped forward to support Pakistan's development at a time when foreign investment had dried up, and economic activity was being crippled by energy shortages and infrastructure gaps,” it said, calling CPEC a “win-win”.

Chinese energy companies have “raised funds from Chinese banks and investors”, and these do not constitute any debt obligation on Pakistan, the statement said.

“CPEC projects are financed through a composite financing package comprising long-term government-to-government concessional and preferential loans, as well as grants from the government of China. Repayments on these loans would not commence in the immediate future,” it added.

The details come after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo voiced concerns in July over any IMF bailout being used to repay Islamabad's debts to China, with whom Washington is engaged in a trade war.

On Tuesday Pakistan's likely future finance minister Asad Umar announced that the decision on a possible IMF loan would be taken by “the end of September”.

“There is a general perception that we have picked up very expensive loans from the Chinese. I personally don't think so,” he told reporters in Islamabad.

“They are like most commercial loans,” he said, denouncing the “lack of transparency” by the previous government on the subject.

China's financial largesse, in the form of the Belt and Road project, has raised concerns over the vulnerability of poorer nations to such massive debt.

Last year Sri Lanka was forced to hand over majority control of its Hambantota port to China after being unable to repay its loans.

As Predicted In This Forum, Another Confirmation That , Pashtuns And Balochis Will Never Be Treated As Equals In Pakistan

Punjab Police draw ire over ‘racial profiling’ of Baloch, Pashtun students
PT Times
August 8, 2018

LAHORE: The Punjab Police on Wednesday removed from its official website a list of ‘Real Terrorism’ that contained pictures and names of Punjab University students, mostly Pashtuns and Balochs, after an uproar on the social media. The ‘Real Terrorism’ list was posted on Tuesday, drawing severe criticism from students and civil society activists, who termed the police’s move as ‘racial profiling’ of students belonging to ethnic communities.
Non Muslims are also on this list !
When Pakistan Today contacted Syed Nayab Haider, the chief spokesman of the Punjab Police, on Wednesday to inquire about the list, the latter refused to comment, feigning ignorance about the issue. Interestingly, the list was soon after mysteriously removed from the website without any explanation.
Something to do with Imran's Naya Pakistan BS
Talking to Pakistan Today, PU Pashtun Council Chairman Alamgir Wazir lamented that the police had named the students in the list, despite the court absolving them of all charges, including terrorism.“Most of the students were in Waziristan when the police put their names on its official website,” he said.
Old habits die hard. Mujib-ur-Rehman and Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan were also labelled as "traitors and agents of India" ( At that time, the word "terrorist" was not yet in vogue  )
He further claimed that the Pashtun Council was in talks with Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leaders Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar.“We have asked for their support as now they are also members-elect of the National Assembly,” he said, claiming that they have assured them of their support.“We will protest against the discriminatory attitude of the police,” he said.
Punjab police uploaded names with picture of few #Baloch students from #PunjabUniversity in Real Terrorism’s category along with other notorious criminals on their official website. A clear cut to deprive Baloch students from higher education. #Shame #PunjabUniversity pic.twitter.com/mtlw6e5qf8

Shocking Claim By Hamid Karzai, Ex President Of Afghanistan !

Karzai concerned regarding alleged financial US support to fence Durand Line
Khama Press
Aug 7, 2018

The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has expressed concerns regarding the alleged financial US support to Pakistan for fencing the Durand Line. The Office of the Former President in a statement said Hamid Karzai is deeply concerned over the US financial assistance to Pakistan for fencing the Durand Line. The statement further added that the former President strongly condemns the move and call it it a violation of our rights and sovereignty. He said “The US funding to Pakistan for fencing the Durand line is helping Pakistan’s policy of separating Afghans on both sides of the Durand Line.Karzai further added that the Durand line was imposed by the British colonial rule which the Afghans have not and will never accept.
Pakistan started work on fencing the line in June last year, covering the areas which according to the Pakistani authorities are the most prone in terms of the movement of the militants.Major General Nauman Zakaria, the commander for the South Waziristan tribal region had earlier told reporters that no “terrorist” will be able to use Afghan or Pakistani soil to launch cross-border attacks after the fencing is completed.

Of course, some of the recent agitation in Waziristan can be partly explained because of this ! The Pakhtuns on the Paki side are denied free movement to the other side and vice versa due to the so -called "terrorists" crossing over from Afghanistan to Pakistan and "doing terrorism" there. The Pakis must have convinced the (naive) Americans that they cannot "control terrorism" unless they build the fence . And since, they do not have money, the Americans probably obliged . And the Pakis have "succeeded" in dividing the Pashtuns of Pakistan and Afghanistan, in the name of "fighting terrorism" . That is my interpretation anyway . And therefore Karzai is protesting !

RAWALPINDI: To increase its patrol along Pak-Afghan border, Pakistan will add 60,000 troops to curtail movement of militants, Bloomberg citing military officials reported.
The military officials requested for anonymity informed The Bloomberg that 40 percent of the aforementioned number of troops has already been recruited in the exercise and it will likely take two years.

Western Diplomats Not Happy Over Jalebi's Choice As Defence Minister :x

Imran Khan nominates Shireen Mazari as defence minister…???
Aug 8, 2018

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari was tipped for the post of defence minister in the next government. PTI insiders refused to comment on the appointment of Mazari, an Islamabad-based scholar and close aide of party chairman Imran Khan. Local media reported Mazari was being considered for the post as Khan finalises the members of his cabinet.
Mazari is known to be a hawk and observers fear her appointment as defence minister could push Pakistan further away from the West and India. Earlier reports had said she was being considered for the post of foreign minister.
While the daughter is safely ensconced in ( liberal and "western ) Austria, the tractor-trolley mother is mouthing all sorts of garbage !
Western diplomats have said they are “extremely disturbed” by the possible choice of Mazari. Large parts of her work centres around shaping a Pakistani nuclear doctrine that hinges around a “one-rung escalation ladder”— in plain language, to respond directly to a conventional weapons attack by India with the massive use of nuclear weapons against civilian targets.
Some observers argue Mazari may not be selected as a number of foreign governments have in the past expressed reservations about her competence.
The Feudal Jalebi will not be happy, unless she is given a prominent portfolio like Foreign Affairs or Defence !
As editor of an English daily, Mazari had angered Western governments by printing highly speculative and defamatory reports in the paper. One Western diplomat said she was “particularly vicious when it comes to the US and to India”.

ISLAMABAD – The Acting US Ambassador John Hoover along with a delegation met the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan at the Chairman’s Secretariat in Banigala, and discussed Pak-US bilateral relations besides other issues of mutual interest.
Talking to the US diplomatic delegation, Imran Khan said that Pakistan desires full stability in Afghanistan.
He said that he always stressed upon to resolve the Afghanistan issue politically, adding it’s a pleasing sign that voices are being raised in the United States also to politically resolve issues. The PTI chairman said that war and use of force are not a solution to the Afghan issue. A stable Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan, the US and the region, he added.
In keeping with his "New High" Office of PM, Imran is reverting to diplomatic language in making his point , otherwise, he has had no hesitation in using "gutter language" in the past, to describe America's role in Afghanistan ( using Pakistan as a condom etc etc !)
Khan said that Pakistan-US relations witnessed several ups and downs in the history. The PTI chairman said that we want better relations with all countries. “There is a trust deficit between Pakistan and the US,” he added.
No kidding ! Haqqani Network, OBL in Abbotabad, Mullah Omar hiding in Quetta, and also his death suppressed , allow China full access to US high tech arms , padding US Coalition bills for submission etc etc
Moreover, he said that PTI is determined to strengthen Pakistan’s ties with the United States based on mutual trust.
Imran Khan said that they consider it important for both the countries to have stable trade and economic relations, added that it’s need of the hour that Pakistan and the US establish stronger diplomatic ties.
US moolah and US Aid is "always welcome"
During the meeting, the acting US ambassador felicitates Imran Khan on his party’s thumping victory  ( is he being sarcastic . The Man was selected not elected ! ) on July 25 general elections. John Hoover said that the US wants to strengthen the relationship with Pakistan.
