Expat booked on blasphemy charges

An expatriate Pakistani living in Germany was booked by the local police on Monday under the blasphemy charges after his “blasphemous” video went viral on the social media.
Imran Rafique, a resident of Kathala Chenab village, lodged a case with Gujrat Saddar police against the suspect, who was a resident of the village and had settled in Germany many years ago, alleging that he committed blasphemy.
The applicant alleged that the suspect had aired his “blasphemous” video on a web-based television channel, dated Nov 11, which was also available on Youtube and other social media sites.
The complainant also demanded the extradition of the suspect from Germany and death penalty for him.
He also demanded the suspect’s family and any other person who believed in the blasphemous remarks uttered by him should also be taken to task
Police have registered a case against the suspect under Section 295-C and started investigation.

Unbelievable!! Now pakis in pakhanistan can file charges of alleged blasphemy on "expats".

It's highly likely that the complainant has his eye on the ancestral lands of the "blasphemer", and this is a great way to ensure that the latter never sets foot in the country and has to do a fire sale benefiting the former.

Why Young Pakistanis Are Learning Chinese

Image

On a July morning, Saqlain Abbas, 26 years old, stood before rows of students, Mandarin textbook in hand, while a Pakistani soldier sat silently at the back of the classroom with a gun at his side :D . Hanging on the wall was a collection of idyllic Chinese landscapes—the reddish-orange mountains of Gansu, the placid waters of a lake in Xinjiang. Here, at Karakoram International University, in a remote, rugged terrain that is still contested territory between India and Pakistan, the Pakistani military has been sponsoring free Mandarin courses for indigent students. “Previously, students were more inclined toward English,” Muhammad Ilyas, the director for the university’s Institute of Professional Development, told me. Today, that’s changing, as young Pakistanis increasingly gravitate toward Mandarin in search of jobs and degrees.

A lack of transparency regarding the terms of CPEC loans and investments still worries many Pakistanis, and some express skepticism about bullish job creation figures. “The jobs are an illusion,” Ahmad said. “People believe they can get a job, so maybe they should learn the Chinese language. And I always ask them, ‘If that’s so, why are there still unemployed Chinese? They have to first give jobs to themselves, and then they will give them to you.’”
:((

“If the Chinese are thinking they can dictate anything to Pakistan with respect to CPEC, they are living in a fool’s paradise,” Ahmad told me.

As his Mandarin improved, Abbas was excited to engage locals in conversation. However, when he told young Beijingers where he was from, he was taken aback by how little they knew about Pakistan. From their childhoods, Pakistanis are taught about their ironclad friendship with China, he told me. “The friendship is very strong.” On the other hand, he said, the youth in Beijing have a dim awareness of China’s role in Pakistan. “They don’t even know a country exists called Pakistan.”

First oil, now gas?

Huge gas reserves discovered in Makran

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Wednesday revealed that major gas reserves have been discovered along the Makran coast.

Speaking at a conference in Karachi, Gen Zubair said Pakistan is blessed with minerals worth billions of rupees.

A recent oceanographic survey conducted in the coastal belt discovered huge gas reserves, he told the audience in a QA session.

Pakistan is sitting on ninth biggest shale gas reserves, he further added.

Pakistan turning literally into Pakhanistan.

The failure to manage fecal sludge or waste water poses a grave threat to public health in rural Pakistan. About 42pc of households in rural Punjab, 60pc in rural KP and 82pc in rural Sindh and Balochistan have no drainage system worth the name. “Untreated fecal waste water seeps into groundwater aquifers or drains into surface water, polluting both. Fecal sludge also contaminates the soil.”

Is this a photo of FM Qureshi receiving a standing ovation at the UN?

A photo posted to Facebook purports to show Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi receiving a standing ovation at the United Nations General Assembly. The photo is manipulated from an original image of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
This Facebook post dated October 1, 2018 says “When leaders are honest then the world will respect itself. Look at the respect for Foreign Minister in America because behind him is the lion, truthful and trustful Prime Minister” next to a photo of Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi apparently being given a standing ovation.
Another post of the same image claimed the picture showed: “Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi speech at 73rd UNGA session | 29th September 2018”.
But this is not a photo of him at the UNGA.

Im the Dim - greater than Der Fuhrer and Le Emporer

Taking U-turns is sign of leadership

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the real leader of a nation always makes U-turns and changes his or her strategy according to the situation and the need of the hour.

He was talking to journalists who met him in the Prime Minister Office (PMO). “The leader who does not do timely U-turns is not a real leader,” the prime minister was quoted as saying by a participant.

Mr Khan gave the example of the ‘failure of German leader Adolf Hitler and French military leader Napoleon Bonaparte in the wars in Russia’ and said: “Both Hitler and Napoleon faced defeat as they did not change their strategies according to the situation and (as a result) their armies were marooned in Russia.”

Located around 60 kilometres (40 miles) from Pakistan’s capital, nearly 3,000 people live in caves in the village of Hasan Abdal, according to councilor Haji Abdul Rasheed -- whose own home is among the dwellings carved into the rugged, earthen hillside embankments.

Many years ago, in BR, we coined the term - Raisin de Itr - for pakjabis' reason for "being". A take off from "raison d'être", the obvious connotation of raisins are the illusive hoors which all mard-e-momeens seek in the after life, and itr are the khushboos (goats) they are willing to settle for.

The current raisin de itr is the dam. After that drains away in arab ki khadi, the momeens will be on a divine quest in search for the next windmill.

PCB making efforts to host Australia in Pakistan next year

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday stated it is making efforts to host series against Australia in Pakistan next year.
Moreover, PCB is trying its best to host at least one or two match in Pakistan for which Karachi or Lahore can be an option.

I dont get it. Why make this "hopeful" attempt public? Does PCB have an MOU with the aussies or a series of emails to back this request? By the way, please destroy any meeting minutes if they are self incriminatory.

Pakistani Bank to do down hill skiing from New York after caught money laundering.

Reason being given by the Paki bank is:
"The United Bank Ltd (UBL) has announced its plans to wrap up its operations in New York, saying the decision has been taken considering the commercial viability of the branch. "As part of its global realignment strategy, UBL intends to voluntarily liquidate and surrender its license pursuant to New York Banking Law," the bank said in a letter to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday. "This is a commercial decision keeping in view the commercial viability of NY Branch and is subject to all regulatory approvals," it added.

While the real reason is:
The announcement comes months after the US Federal Reserve Bank ordered UBL to toughen its anti-money laundering policies as the regulator faulted the Pakistani bank for not doing enough to track suspicious transactions. UBL had subsequently signed an agreement with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in July to comply with laws and regulations of United States.

According to the agreement, UBL was bound to take steps to address deficiencies concerning its New York branch’s risk management and compliance framework under federal and state laws, rules, and regulations relating to anti-money laundering compliance, including the Bank Secrecy Act. (So it is clear the Paki bank branch was not established to conduct normal banking operations but to do Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing and once that became difficult it is trying to give a corporate mumbo jumbo excuse to run from the US)

UBL is the second of the country’s largest private banks to wind up their US operations. In August, the Habib Bank Limited had announced its decision to close its New York branch following intimation from the state's financial regulator that it seeks to impose a hefty penalty of nearly $630 million on the bank. (This kind of penalty is never imposed unless the violations are every severe. That paki bank not only paid it and hence acknowledged its guilt but also ceased operations, tells it own tale)

'Were you in your senses'

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday censured the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Minister Fida Hussain for his misbehaviour with an Islamabad airport official earlier this month, and ordered him to submit a written apology for his conduct.
"The reason for forgiving [you] is our immense love for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, " CJP Nisar told Hussain, warning him to be cautious in the future.
In his written apology, the minister said he was ashamed over his actions and would accept whatever punishment the court handed to him.
"Leave your pride and arrogance at home (in GB) when you arrive here," he said.
"Did you push [the airport official]?"
"Are you educated?"
"Were you in your senses at the time?"
"Is this how one behaves when a flight is delayed?"
"Are you a thug [badmaash]?
Hussain responded that he was ashamed of his actions and asked the court to forgive him, to which the chief justice said the minister would not be granted forgiveness

Wait a minute! If GB is an "azaad/independent" state with its own president, constitution and legislature, then isn't the GB tourism minister outside the laws of pakhanistan? Doesn't he have diplomatic immunity?

It is clear that Pakistani's are bringing the Paki rupee rate below to meet the loan requirements as prescribed by IMF. That is easily done.
What about the more tricky/contentious IMF pre-requisite that Paki's disclose the details of the Chinese loans and its conditionalities? China will never allow the Pakis to disclose this information. So either the shitistanis have shown their true nature to the Chinese and given all the information or they have disclosed false information and Sialkoti documents to the IMF. It is clear they will cheat either of the two. It has to as there is no other way to get that loan.

Pakis will never ever come clean. That's a given. If they try to cook the books on the chinese loans and rejig the loan docs, it will be so obvious. IMF knows it as well.

Paki Toi.Rs fall was more to do with the state of their dismal economy and less to do with IMF conditions which were announced a week ago while the fall happened today (although the spin is otherwise in paki newspapers). IMF recommends the Toi.Rs to fall to 145, even to 150. It, however, rose back to 136 at the end of the day. While the IMF intervention is not a done deal, if IMF conditions are accepted, the Toi.Rs will fall to 150.

I expect the Toi.Rs to fall despite IMF - I link it to the lack of chini and saudi commitment to additional cash infusion into the paki reserves and economy, a general slowdown of the paki economy, falling exports, increase in Debt to GDP ratio, inflation and the resultant falling reserves to prop up the failing Toi.Rs.

December 15 is the date. Asad Umar is probably preparing his exit speech.

Re: Terrorist State of Pakistan : Media Digest

IMF has asked an initial devaluation of 15-20% of the current value which takes Toi.Rs to ~160/$. While in the program they will ask to devalue some more taking it to 1INR = 2.5Toi.Rs. At which state BgDsh Taka will be more valuable.
Currently a big chunk of ForEx is utilized to keep the value at present level. It is a Paki d*** measuring thingy.
If they go to IMF program, they can very well kiss their whatever raw agricultural export goodbye due to high electricity and fuel charges. Vietnam, Maldives and Bangladesh are already taking the pieces.
After that a coup will be most likely to happen.
Only way remaining to them is go into Yemen war and hope to extract whatever they can from KSA and Ilon Blothel.
