Rishi Bagree before that. That is the price of using platforms like Twitter controlled by the other side.

INC IT Cell is spending like crazy on english SM. BJP response is mostly by enthusiastic but unpaid guys with some firms involved in spreading news/content via automated means. Perhaps the real battle is in vernacular media.

Left wing minds work in using laws/rules to achieve their goals of suppressing RW voice.

The RW on the other hand are ignorant of the laws and rules and repeatedly think its brave to speak out and thus leave themselves open to such suppression tactics.
Even here we had folks who used to use Forum rules selectively and force suppression.

That turd Hamid Ansari rapidly expanded RSTV with ndtv trainees. DogVijay's current wife is one of them.

Later the BiF forces set up multiple digital shops to employ them once Hamid Ansari was out.

That's how all these scroll, wire, quint, altnews, factcheck and other such Social media ampliers were born. They are just like the digital version of green police and civic police from Jihadidi's WB.

Very perceptive.
Congress thinks the Twitteratti will influence the voters.
However that is the urban voters in teh big metros.
And even here its only in Delhi and that too Lootyens.

Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata have their own dynamics.

And Bengluru was turned with the South seat nomination of Tejasvi Surya as that took away the NOTA vote.

And its the rural that vote and they all are voting for NaMo.

E.g.
Rita Bahuguna was chosen as the BJP candidate in UP.
There was no time for posters showing her face.
She said just put posters with NaMo the election is about him only!!!!

the solution is not complaining to twitter (who are under no compunction, legally speaking, to be fair to Indians) but to move away from twitter to platforms like https://gutrgoo.com/

PIF need to vote with their feet and make these irrelevant.

Similar to Tarek Fatah, Imam Touhidi is Australian. Hence these guys are not targeted by Indian LW in the same fashion.

However, both have accounts suspended multiple times from their own corners (Muslim).

The advantage of twitter is the widespread acceptance. Until and unless some big shots/influencers move out or create parallel account in gutrgoo, nothing will happen.

I don't know why NaMo and rest of BJP big shots create parallel accounts in gutrgoo with fan fare and start posting in both mediums in parallel.

If RW big shots don't support RW platforms, who will?

Thanks R sir.

I think folks like me (english speaking metro dudes) are merely a drop in the vast sea that is the Indian polity. Sometimes, the reality is brought forward by the shock surprise of the MP, CG, Raj upsets. Now, I hope the same surprise will be sprung on all the elite BIF who are caught up in their respective SM echo chambers forwarding hate messages against Modi, duly paid for by their party's IT cells.

The lack of legal support from RW sources is a big dampener. This is where BJP/RW/RSS have completely let go of the ball. Our guys routinely get targeted and no clear action is taken. That "killer instinct" to protect their own is lacking on the RW party's side.

Having a parallel RW platform is absolute must as a sanctuary. All RW journalists would have been chased out by now without swarajyamag. BRF provides the same functionalities for Indian military enthusiasts.

gutrgoo is the need of the hour to counter twitter (face book is mostly dying anyway and whatsapp is not moderated anyway). Need a high publicity mass movement of right wing influencers to create parallel accounts in gutrgoo.

Unfortunately boss, what we see on our screen is very different from the reality. They even have a mesh to separate the bots from the chaff to pinning where the data point of resent is coming from against sentiment in that geographical area. INC are heavily reliant on contractors whilst BJP has bought the GIS package from ESRI to do their work. Needless to say, twitter doesn't even represent a handful of voters in the larger scheme. As you said vernacular media is on the forefront, and there is sufficient information to know who is reading the digital editions and how to reinforce the message. All credit to Arvind Gupta though.

With 70 years experience, Con party has mastered these 2 things:

1. How to create a patronage network (They built the facebook/twitter army in 3 years from a far lagging position) using their intellectual folks and x-ndtv glorified online trolls
2. How to ruthlessly cut down the opponents using ANY means

Legal notices are one part of the problem. But these notices are usually devoid of any substance and don't go very far. Their intent is to muzzle the voices of course, which they do achieve. RW voices have been muzzled in msm all along by the commie owners. They finally found a voice in SM but even that is under threat now. On the other hand the rise of Republic, Swarajya and Opindia to take on the msm in their own sphere is encouraging.

The switch to desi platforms like gutrgoo has to be led by RW accounts with a large number of followers. People like us who usually just like and retweet the popular folk can do little by moving ourselves.

A separate new platform is a non-starter. We need a local legal framework, a charter of rights for Indians on social media to make these platforms hew to our requirements. This was happening by @ianuragthakur, but sadly, elections came in and the whole thing slowed down. But I think it will happen.. There is sufficient mass, emotion on our side.. and hopefully, also the numbers after the election results.

Moving to other platforms also means you are conceding real estate permanently. If they can push us off Twitter there is no reason why they can't do it later on Gutrgoo as well. These people are basically like pakis in this.

Just that they are giving beautiful terms like 'Optimism' for their own dilemma. They are hiding behind such fanciful terms. Thats all.

For BJP 220 was the baseline before the start of the polls. But the first phase had spectacular battles which we don't understand except in hind sight.
The two Telugu states on same day basically confined them to their own areas without spillover effect. The results of that day made CBN non-viable. Another hidden factor was Chattisgarh on that day confined the Naxals and EJs there as it was more important to them than neighboring TG and AP.

Maharashtra showed DF as a masterful politician. By allying with UT he ensured NDA will sweep. Jihadidi having elections in all phases ensured she is confined to WB and not move out. The BSP and SP are fighting each other and Minorities are not supporting them. Those who voted are supporting Congress and others don't want to be part of losing group and stayed home. So much so that BJP held their won in these 3 phases.
From now on we will see a hockey stick pattern as the battles move into BJP friendly areas.

Moreover public sentiment will be with the winner and it adds its won un-measurable exponential component.

Quite a lot of estimates have been done by our own members and used to track the progress.

Here is one charter of rights for Indian social media users:

1. Users have free speech and shall not be restricted unless there is a police complaint or a complaint from a legal authority.
2. Users shall not have their 'news feed' changed to show them political news that is biased (or targeted towards confirming the users biases) in a certain direction. Any algorithmic adjustment that results in this effect is prohibited.
3. There is no right to 'anonymous' free speech. If a user has more than 300 followers/subscribers/friends, they will need to authenticate that they are an Indian person by presenting an aadhar card.
4. If a user has been shown a false news originating from a fake news campaign, or a foreign source, they shall be notified within 7 days of such determination that they have been exposed to fake news. The correct news shall also be identified along with this notification.
5. Govt. shall establish a non-partisan, constitutional body to regulate digital media that shall be in charge of regulating all digital media content.
6. Television and print news is an important infrastructure of democracy and its neutrality in political disputes must be protected at all costs. Therefore a new fairness law shall be passed, that requires that opposing view points of main stream political thought in the country is given equal and fair presence in editorial boards.

Posting my comments on Chengappa article from ASAT thread....
Varoon Shekhar wrote:https://www.indiatoday.in/magazine/the- ... 2019-03-29

This should work- Chengappa article

A section in the article:
While a political storm soon followed over whether Modi should have announced it in the manner he did and also its timing just before the first phase of the election, the prime minister had every right to take credit for going ahead with the decision to develop and test the missile. What was avoidable, though, was BJP spokespersons implying that the UPA governments did not show the vision or the courage to sanction and develop an A-SAT. As a scientist pointed out, the BMD systems the UPA had sanctioned and developed were a forerunner to the A-Sat missile system. Many of the technologies the BMD system had perfected were indispensable for the A-SAT test and the launch could not have taken place so speedily after it was approved without the continuum the BMD project had provided.
This is nonsense.
ASAT is much more than the BMD is what Chengappa says in the same article. And also says the program pace picked up after Dr. Reddy was appointed in six months before the test.
All this shows its just political claim to say that UPA worked on all the essential tools for the ASAT system but never tested it. Dr Saraswat is on record saying the NSA and his cohort did not give permission to finish the design even.
I submit the NSA Menon knew the space treaty was being negotiated but did not allow development similar to the Hamlet mode in 1968 that hamstrung India under NPT.

Chengappa doesn't understand a basic political truism - the political credit is taken by the entity completing the task. Not the entity who's early actions sowed some of the baseline capabilities. An analogous argument would be "What was avoidable, though, was BJP spokespersons implying that the UPA governments did not show the vision or the courage to build road and toilets. The existing production capacity of steel, cement and asphalt is built upon capacity originally constructed by Banditji in the 1950s."

INC can always make such claims - having ruled for 60 years, pretty much every contemporary effort has something that was done using capability from 'their time'. However, in politics, that does not matter - to the completer goes the spoils. That is why ABV is remembered for Shakti tests and not PVNR, even though the latter was courageous in sanctioning the original effort that the west stymied - he explicitly passed on the task to ABV to get done.

One thing I noticed is Modi/Shah are aware of all the things including Twitter. They don't act in haste. They don't comment or try haphazard solutions. They study a lot before acting. Just like NPA issue. They took 3 years to come up with IBC to attack NPA. They setup monitoring infra to monitor exports/imports/DBT/JanDhan. I hope they will address RTE, Education, Police and lack of Indian indigenous solutions for Internet.

This was my belief as well. The twitter war is a sideshow.
Lets hope so.. even the FB war has become lopsided, but again, how much of it is influencing folks is debatable.

One thing i note is that folks with a more diverse set of friends, receive far fewer likes for anti Modi/BJP posts etc than those in a region where the anti BJP perception is already strong.

Leads me to believe that many remain silent so as to not break ties/friendship, but their personal beliefs remain opposite to that of the anti Modi loudmouths.

Priyanka Gandhi & her congress cronies goad minor kids to call the Prime minister of India Modi ji a thief in front of camera.
The kids then raise a disgusting Congress chant that was thought to them that calls the Prime minister Modi a Pimp.
Priyanka Gandhi looks amused at the congie chant calling PM Modi a Pimp but recovers & smilingly says that such a chant is not ok apparently as it is being made in front of the media's running cameras. The kids are then made to chant "Rahul Gandhi Jindabad" !
