2019 General Elections News and Discussion
Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
I accidental came across brf online. I do not know something like this was there at all.
Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
It is going to be hell for INC with all this. NM must have known all this before making those comments.
Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
This is mainly for the consumption of new generation. With this my gen will remember even more of those stories during 80s and pass on to the next gen.
Like how Durdarshan used to be called Rajiv-darshan.
I have seen nice hindu mythological stories suddenly disappered from the syllabus and replaced by "secular" stories. Its like anything cultural became communal in late 70s. It was like UK banning every reference of santa claus from schools because it is communal. Thats how ridiculous it was and still is.

Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
My analysis of BB analysis on numbers:
Phase 1 to 5, accounting for 333 seats (some seats missing in count)
Normative Case:
BJP/NDA 183+21 =204
INC/UPA 48+6 = 54
Others/MGB/Tossups 75
Best case:
BJP/NDA 217+27 = 244
INC/UPA 43+4 = 47
Others/MGB/Tossups = 42
This is wave elections. On May 23, My normative case for BJP/NDA still is 250 (240-260)/ 290 (280-300).
Putting the neck out case, BJP/NDA 300/340. Wow factor (crazy horse) NDA > 360.

I'm thinking we should have a BRF election result pool, where everyone from dhoti shibberes who are predicting over <180 to uber jingos predicting 300+ for BJP can put down their numbers. I can help set one up

Raj Mahindra was not in forces so it's not against the law ; in services there are no exceptions to this rule, one harrier pilot who was son of Rear/Vice admiral (forget the exact rank) had to put in the papers as soon as he got married to a foreign national . HAL etc don't come under these regulations. GC Das got it at a time when laws were only for the poor .Karan M wrote: Yes lot of service folks or other senior folks had foreign spouses. I think Raj Mahindra, Group Captain Suranjan Das - but got the requisite permissions to keep their clearance. Must have been tough for them, I bet.

Leftists, Foreign Funded NGOs and the Rafale link: Women ‘activists’ protest against clean chit to CJI Gogoi in sexual harassment case
Donors to the HRLN include Misereor which is partners with Sherpa, the same NGO that filed a plea against the Rafale deal in France. Sherpa is also partners with George Soros' Open Society Institute.
Annie Raja, General Secretary of National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW), told India Today TV that the protest was being held to question the method adopted by the in-house investigation panel which gave a clean chit to Ranjan Gogoi. The NFIW is a far-left organization that considers Islamic Terrorism in Kashmir to be ‘indigenous uprising’.
The protest was also attended by other Left organizations. All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), an ‘independent’ Leftist organization with Brinda Karat as one of its patrons, too, joined the protest. The members of the New Trade Union Initiative (NTUI) also joined the protest.
Kalpana Vishwanath, the founder of the Safetipin app which is partners with organizations such as Ford Foundation and UK Aid among others, too joined the protest and talked about the apparent lapses in due process.
Apart from such far-left organizations, the protest was also attended by campaigns with extensive links to foreign-funded NGOs. Members of the Right to Food Campaign (RFC) joined the protest. RFC is an “informal network” of organizations that have been campaigning extensively against Akshaya Patra, the ISKCON affiliated entity that provides midday meals to children. One of the activists associated with it considers Brahmins to be obstructions to India’s development.
The RFC has PUCL, an organization with extensive links to ‘Urban Naxals’, in its steering committee. It also has the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), a foreign-funded NGO that has been interfering in various matters related to the internal security of the country, in its steering committee. Donors to the HRLN include Misereor which is partners with Sherpa, the same NGO that filed a plea against the Rafale deal in France. Sherpa is also partners with George Soros’ Open Society Institute.
CJI Gogoi had claimed that the allegations against him were a plot to dissuade him from hearing important cases. He is currently hearing review petitions in the Rafale matter and a contempt plea against Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Considering the entities which are protesting against the clean chit given to him, the plot has certainly thickened.

Another ploy by a cabal of vested interests bites the dust as CJI Ranjan Gogoi outsmarts them
In the recent past, we saw a curious turn of events as allegations of sexual abuse were leveled at the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Ranjan Gogoi and that having failed, some fringe elements are planning street protests. Though many lawyers accuse the perennial accuser and feminist lawyer Indira Jaising for raking up or helping a dismissed lady staffer in preparing petitions alleging sexual abuse charges, the recent protests engineered by certain Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) give wider ramifications to this case. What is their motive in accusing a 65-year-old Gogoi, who has never been caught in such allegations before?
Gogoi’s temper
In legal circles, Ranjan Gogoi was infamous for losing his temper off and on, thereby creating many enemies due to his obiter dicta (off-the-record speaking or utterances) or uncontrolled comments at petitioners. In his entire career, he was known as a strict person who tends to lose control often. He is set to retire on November 18, 2019, and some people or lobbies are fed up with him and want him to resign, say many lawyers who are in the know of the current developments. These NGOs and disgruntled lawyers might be behind this rent-a-cause move to malign the CJI, they say.
Lobby at work?
PGurus contacted several advocates and journalists on the Supreme Court beat. They point out a dirty corporate lobby behind this entire episode. All these things were engineered after two Court Masters were dismissed and are now facing Police probe on the manipulations in the Order involving Anil Ambani’s Rs.580 crores due to an Ericsson-related contempt case. After Gogoi became the Chief Justice as many as six to eight such fraud staffers were terminated and this lady happens to be one of them. So there was a huge discontentment brewing and some people have encashed their anger, said a very senior Advocate. He adds that certain elements in the Government, Intelligence system and a big lobby of politicians-cum-lawyers cutting across party lines, and some perennial petitioners who were not so happy with Ranjan Gogoi’s unpredictable nature tried to get rid of him through this malicious allegation. “They thought on the day media splashed the news, Gogoi would resign,” he said.
Anyway, the case is over after the ex-lady staffer boycotted the in-house proceedings. Now the Communist Party of India (CPI)’s women wing National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) is conducting stage-managed protests on the streets. This small organization’s General Secretary is Annie Raja, the wife of CPI National Secretary D Raja. For the past 15 years, its President is the former IAS officer Aruna Roy, who is a close confidant of former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan is also seen supporting these protests and supporting the allegations of the dismissed lady staffer, caught for malpractices. Many Gay-Lesbian activists were also seen in the sparsely attended protests. In fact, there were more media persons than protestors, which leads one to question the motives of this uncouth cabal.
But some lawyers say that there is also a role for certain elements in Government in engineering this sexual abuse charges. Some accuse Congress leadership of backroom operations in the entire episode, firing from the shoulders of CPI and the rent-a-cause NGOs. Those who doubt the role of certain Government elements point out that this lady was in touch with Delhi Police and Intelligence Bureau officials from January, citing her complaint pending in Union Home Ministry in January. They accuse, the Deep State of bargaining or sending messages to the CJI and argue that Congress’s top leadership was not happy with the stands of the Chief Justice in several sensitive cases ranging from National Herald, Rafale case, etc.
At the outset, it is very clear that many are unhappy with Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and they got a good item to BLACKMAIL him. Many thought Gogoi would resign. But Gogoi outsmarted all of them by not resigning and declared his intent to finish his tenure till November 18, 2019.

there are 5 days left (next tuesday) to close of campaign season as it will close 2 days before last round of voting on 17th.
6th penultimate round is sunday.
this is the slog overs of a hard fought 50 over ODI where the enemy team are all shahid afridi and sarfaraz nawaz types. no MCC rules they will follow.
whoever has any strength left and still on the field , better spread out and do your bit, defend the right things and fan the flames against TeamBIF.
esp members located in yet to vote key chokepoint nodes like Delhi, Punjab, Purbanchal, west bengal. work on the fence sitters, the lazy, the naive, the misled.
its now or never. use up every drop of the fuel in the tank but give it everything.

Act Six.
Coming on Twelfth of May.
Fifty-Nine seats.
Main questions:
- Will BJP sweep DL and HR as expected, with the added advantage of AAP and UPA splitting the anti-BJP vote ?
- Will NDA continue the strong performance in UP and BH ?
- Will BJP post a strong performance in central/north MP and JH, neutralizing some of the possible losses in eastern MP ?
- Will BJP continue the strong momentum against TMC and power well past the double-digit mark in WB ?
The campaign cannot afford any kinda complacency. Work-work-work!

imo the worrisome areas for BJP are
- eastern MP, chattisgarh, jharkhand - EJs, naxals, congis, mining lobbies have zero reason to love a clean admin or development in that belt. and congis have wrested the state govts recently. JMM shibu soren who was NDA last time is UPA this time. ex CMs of BJP may have done good work but the development gap is large and tough to showcase as big success.
- drought stricken tracts of MH
collectively thats a fair number of seats in danger like 50.

Rahul Gandhiresponsible if Modicomes back to power, Congress harming opposition:Arvind Kejriwal - PTI
NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday accused Rahul Gandhi of harming the SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh, the Left in Kerala, the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and the Aam Aadmi Party in the national capital, saying the Congress chief will be responsible if Narendra Modi comes back to power.
The AAP national convenor's attack, during a wide-ranging interview to PTI, comes two days ahead of elections in Delhi, which is witnessing a three-cornered contest as talks for an alliance between the Congress and the AAP did not fructify.
"Congress is harming SP-BSP alliance in UP, Left in Kerala, TMC in West Bengal, TDP in Andhra and AAP in Delhi..If Narendra Modi comes back to power, Rahul Gandhi will only be responsible, " Kejriwal said.
"It is appearing as if the Congress is fighting the polls against opposition parties and not against the BJP. The Congress is acting as a spoilsport, " he added.
The Delhi chief minister alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "totally failed" in delivering anything in any of the key sectors and that is why he has been resorting to "fake nationalism".
"Modi-ji's nationalism is fake. It dangerous for the country," Kejriwal said.
"He is using the armed forces to get votes as he does not have any work to show, " he alleged.
The AAP national convenor, who along with Anna Hazare led a massive anti-graft agitation against UPA II between 2011 and 2013, said Manmohan Singh as prime minister was a thousand times better than Modi.
Kejriwal said the BJP is not going to retain power.
"Our only aim is to stop Modi and Shah from coming back to power. We will support anyone other than the duo, " he added.
He said his party will perform well in the national capital.
"A month back, I thought it will be a fierce fight. But the situation changed dramatically in the last 10 days. I am witnessing a situation similar to the atmosphere when we got 67 seats in 2015. I will not be surprised if we get all seven seats, " he said.
Kejriwal said the BJP is seeking vote in the name of Modi but the AAP is banking on its work in the fields of education, health and water supply and lower electricity tariff.
"Modi-ji cannot say I made schools, hospitals, brought down electricity tariff, ensured drinking water supply. He failed in every sector. He has not delivered anything, " he alleged.
Cheers

545 for NDA. Now let's see which one or two may not pan out.

He may be blaming Pappu, but his speech sounds exactly the same. Substitute the name and you couldn't tell the difference. These guys are completely out of any real issues and are reduced to repeating the same old BS. It's gotten old and won't help in DL and HR. Maybe still some traction in PB but I think the vote there is more for Amarinder than for Pappu.

^ Doesn't this mean that their speech writers have given up?
Or they think the standard message is working super-effectively, enabling him to win all 7 seats?
So this is why I call it lungi-shivering to say "on, will NDA win 225 " when the opposition is going around declaring that they will win all 545.
The only valid reason is the Dilbullah Syndrone, so UBCN will issue the Lower-Bound Prediction as well:
0
Now we are SURE of being 100% accurate, within a maximum error of only 545 seats.
BTW, imagine if BRF were the IncRF. What would be the predictions and sentiment at this point I wonder. Total exhilaration? (I don't mean RaGaji's customers for Colombian import) Total depression? Glee? Anger?

Someone was right in saying that Modi dug a pit by raking up Rajiv Gandhi, and they all fell onto it. Sam Pitroda's comments may just swing the vote share in some seats of Delhi and Punjab.
Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
Ak47 has given up. They all walked straight into the trap NM set for them. Discussing Sikh murders in 1984 during Delhi and Punjab elections? Idiots don't have any brain? Sam Pitroda's anger is very clear. They wanted to discuss "Issues" which are created with their chamchas in MSM and what not. But NM simply bypassed all that now. No one is discussing farmers, jobs, democracy and all that. No GST, No DeMo and nothing which may give some scope for BIF to hit him. What they can do?
Barring major mistake by every proBJP person in predicting the mood, we are looking at NDA win in 23rd May 2019. BJP alone could be about 250.

NaMo spends very little time attacking other people verbally - it does not seem to be his nature. But when he does, it is always well thought out and usually hits hard where it hurts....including at the "ballot box" (EVM nowadays).mmasand wrote:Someone was right in saying that Modi dug a pit by raking up Rajiv Gandhi, and they all fell onto it. The opposition on the other hand has already "shot its wad" much too early by repeating the same old stuff day in and day out that more and more undecided/non-core voters are "zoning out" - and the more intelligent among them can tell that there is something seriously fishy about the opposition's constant drone.
What NaMo and Shah have done is to get such voters on his side both with good policies, good implementation, good messaging, and finally by rendering the opposition desperate. Yes, traps like the one about Rajiv and 1984 are potentially a great example of how the "swing/undecided" vote can be manipulated by NaMo and Shah just a few days before the election. Anyway, what is then left for the opposition is mainly a shrinking die-hard "core" voter base (greens, some yadavs, some dalits, reds/pinkos, tree-huggers, fruitcakes) who will vote for INC/MGB/AAP/CPI come what may.
NDA is really playing an excellent game on all counts, despite some people constantly whining about this or that not being 110% satisfactory. Another week of hard work and this campaign will be won!

As a ModiJi 'bhakt', not in the pejorative sense that libtards and BIF use it, but someone who believes that this son-of-the-soil has it in him to bring India back on track, I must say that while bringing up 1984 genocide of Sikhs post Indira election is morally upright and political savvy given Delhi and Punjab elections, but I must say his aggressiveness brings out the 'libtard' in me. When he calls for justice for 1984 Sikh victims, and righteously so, then as a statesman, he must also call for justice for the 2002 riots victims in Gujarat (both Hindu victims who perished in Godhra as well as Muslim victims who perished in the riots thereafter), and other Hindu-Muslim riots. My point being that victims are victims, electoral strategy aside. And at some point in his political career, I hope ModiJi does that.

UndieTV at it again: villagers cook without NaMoGas!!
For the Net Warriors: We Mongolians are deeply knowledgeable on this. We have excellent gas cookers and plenty of gas (we eat lots of protein!) but we still maintain sawdust cookers and just straight wood stoves for special purposes. But let's not talk about is. Let's talk about the Great Inspiration of the Left: Communist China.
PRC famously undertook a Modern Cooking Stove initiative. Shiny new stoves were given to all. But they don't stop at that. They then made it clear that maintenance people were PROHIBITED from servicing the old coal stoves on pain of losing license/ being sent to Gobi LeEducation Center.
Result: Families kept the Shiny New Communist Stove in the center of the living room when visitors came. But out in the corner was this grimy old coal stove. Reasons are complex.
1) In China the social H&D order is very clear. Those who go scrounging for wood to burn are considered to be poor and lowly, compared to the H&D of burning a real coal stove.
2) If no fragrant (of coal dust) black smoke was coming out of the chimney, again, major H&D blow.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Getting to UP:
Ppl will not catch on to imported natural gas until they have the disposable income to waste on refilling the cylinders. Why should they waste their money on that?
Also, sooner or later they will learn (if we can teach them) that the govt-supplied gas cylinders are great containers for locally-generated biogas, with solar power to compress and purify it. At that point it is 94% methane, better than the imported CNG. Maybe they can even liquefy it and use it in vehicles. So the CYLINDERS and stoves are great boons to the people: it just takes time for the real impact to kick in.
The sh1ts who sneer at this are, well, maybe useful if converted to biogas. "Bio-methanation" is the propah term for poogas.

India studying water treaty, water will flow to Rajasthan, Punjab not Pakistan: Nitin Gadkari
Nitin Gadkari has once again said that India will stop river water flowing into Pakistan and divert it to Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana instead.
- Union minister Nitin Gadkari said India is studying the Indus Water Treaty
- Gadkari said India is not bound to follow the Indus treaty
- The minister blamed Pakistan for not holding up the spirit of the treaty
Union minister Nitin Gadkari has once again raked up the Indus Water Treaty issue and said that India is studying the water sharing agreement and will be re-channelling the water to Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan instead of giving it to Pakistan.
Minister for Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari said, "Water is going to Pakistan from 3 rivers, we don't want to stop that. But the basis of water treaty between India and Pakistan were peaceful relations and friendship which have completely vanished. So we are not bound to follow this treaty."
Gadkari added, "Pakistan is continuously supporting terrorists. If Pakistan doesn't stops terrorism, we won't have any other option but to stop river water to Pakistan. So India has started internally studying it. The water will go to Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan."
In the days after the February 14 Pulwama terror attack, Gadkari had threatened that India will stop sharing water with Pakistan.
Earlier in February, slamming Pakistan over cross-border terrorism, Gadkari had asked what is the point of continuing the Indus Water Treaty if its spirit of mutual love, harmony and cordial relations is not being honoured by the neighbouring country.
He had said that India has decided to stop the flow of river water to Pakistan under the treaty.
Under the Indus Water Treaty signed between India and Pakistan in 1960, all waters of the three easters rivers, Ravi, Sutlej and Beas, averaging around 33 million acre feet (MAF), would go to India for exclusive use.
The waters of western rivers -- Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab -- averaging to around 135 MAF were allocated to Pakistan except for specified domestic, non-consumptive and agricultural use permitted to India as provided in the treaty.

You mean the commie in you, you keep giving yourself away comrade Ram. NM's subject matter of argument is certain leader's line: if a tree falls, earth shakes. It's not just the riots. Did NM say if a train compartment full of men, women and kids is burnt, the heat will be felt far away as well for you to make such ludicrous comparison?CRamS wrote:As a ModiJi 'bhakt', not in the pejorative sense that libtards and BIF use it, but someone who believes that this son-of-the-soil has it in him to bring India back on track, I must say that while bringing up 1984 genocide of Sikhs post Indira election is morally upright and political savvy given Delhi and Punjab elections, but I must say his aggressiveness brings out the 'libtard' in me.

Libtard it's when one talking can't even tell difference between two riots.CRamS wrote:As a ModiJi 'bhakt', not in the pejorative sense that libtards and BIF use it, but someone who believes that this son-of-the-soil has it in him to bring India back on track, I must say that while bringing up 1984 genocide of Sikhs post Indira election is morally upright and political savvy given Delhi and Punjab elections, but I must say his aggressiveness brings out the 'libtard' in me. 1984 riots:
1) started by political appointed people to avenge mafia family loss
2) wasn't started by Sikhs
3) no external players involved.
2002 riots:
1) external players involved, internal players involved from the opposition party
2) part of the bigger plan to get Indian army to move and readjust at the border
3) started by trigger controlled muslim outfits
And you left off all terrorist victims, Hindus framed for muslim terrorist acts, Hindus being killed off by political outfits, Hindus killed under JLN, IG, RG, etc. I would start compensating from 1947 and then get to 2002. Nice big jumps.
I still recall getting multiple call from different railway stations across charotar at the same time about muslims started killing Hindus in 2002. Too much of a coincidence?

Guys, please don't jump all over me. I am not making any equivalences, expect that those who innocents ones who got killed and their kith and kin need justice, thats all. Anyway, I completely understand that the topic of relevance is 194 Sikh genocide since Congoons pose as champions of minority rights, and so no need to being in any other riot as a way of any equivalence to let Congoons off the hook. I am speaking purely in moralistic and spiritual terms, but lets discuss this on another day.
Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion
You haven't explained why you have skipped over all the other riots in Gujarat that were started by INC goons that included killing of Patels and provoking Hindus to start communal riots through various means like acid throwing, abducting girls, having bus full of muslim goons driving from Ahmedabad to Surat, cow slaughterings, etc.CRamS wrote:Guys, please don't jump all over me. Looks like BJP is heading for a landslide win on May 23rd. So far not a single mistake in the campaign path and plan.
