i think Immy;s speech was more for domestic audience. He is being pillored all across pakistan for not doing enough. he is saving his backside/political capital with such fiery speeches / taqrirs. Paki awam gets quite excited about such fiery taqrirs. His speech and others speech sounded like a repitition ..nothing new. i think GOI should be actively propogating that Pakis are planning a terrorist incident to unsettle kashmir.

Immy is milking this to save his career - he has nothing else to offer Pakistan! The 2 nation experiment is dead! Modi proved it to be a non starter from the beginning.

All this bluster and threats by Pakis is primarily because they don't know what to do next.
Arab Masters haven't cared, Taller than mountain friend gave one statement and went back to managing HK protest, Trade war and Uighur Moslems.
Europe has no leverage left over India while even Maldives and BD have spit on Baki face.
DT uncle offered mediation but no one knows if that was before or after abrogation.
So where does that leave Bakis ? Of kourse use nuke threats and terror ops.
What does that mean for India ? Simple that Bakis will accept this move and keep whining and threatening.
With economy almost having gone to dogs, a few days blockade of Pak by Indian Navy in case of terror ops will send them into searching for the elusive grass which Bhutto promised.

Wonder how long it will take for “Ms Marvel” to go into hiding to save herself from her honor killing family. Serious concern. Hope she goes into hiding quickly & doesn’t stick around or visit TSP after.

The latest propaganda from the Pakis to try and rationalize the slap on the face from the UAE is that they gave the award out because Modi intercepted and returned an escaped princess. Their delusions have absolutely no limits. If they had even a pea sized brain they would question why 70 years of boot licking, serving as security gaurds, and allowing them to hunt their endangered wildlife did not result in a similar honor for them.

my thoughts on looking at paki obsession in this episode is that they are heading towards a palestine/syria type failed state model. Their economy is tanking, their cities are stinking, healthcare doesnt existing but their national narrative is completely focussed on one item and that is cashmere..

Pakistan’s isolation on Kashmir huge setback to its foreign policy, says chairman of US-based advocacy group Voice of Karachi
Asian News International Aug 27, 2019
Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has admitted to the failure of his country's stance on Kashmir and its diplomacy, stated Voice of Karachi (VoK) Chairman Nadeem Nusrat on Monday The Voice of Karachi chairman further said that Kashmir has been at the forefront of Pakistan's foreign policy since its inception Nusrat categorically rejected Imran Khan's claim that it was his government's policy to have peaceful relations with other countries, including India and Afghanistan
Washington: Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has admitted to the failure of his country's stance on Kashmir and its diplomacy, stated Voice of Karachi (VoK) Chairman Nadeem Nusrat on Monday.
"Imran Khan is not more than a puppet of Pakistan's military establishment who talks at the behest of his masters in GHQ (Pakistan Army Headquarter). The Pakistani premier admits that Pakistan has been isolated at the international stage by saying that if some of Muslim countries are not with us (Pakistan) currently due to economic or other reasons, they will be with us in the future", Nusrat said in a press statement.
The Voice of Karachi chairman further said that Kashmir has been at the forefront of Pakistan's foreign policy since its inception. "The military establishment of Pakistan and its notorious intelligence agency ISI spent billions of rupees from national exchequer to create militant organizations, Kashmir committees and Kashmir Desks in their embassies in the name of Kashmir's freedom struggle. The failed domestic and foreign policies of Pakistan headed by the military establishment have turned the country into a chaos-like situation", he said.
Nusrat categorically rejected Imran Khan's claim that it was his government's policy to have peaceful relations with other countries, including India and Afghanistan. He said that the reality is that the terror outfits involved in deadly attacks in Afghanistan and India are enjoying impunity under the present government of Imran Khan. "The sincerity of Pakistan to have peace with its neighbours can be measured with no change seen in using terror as a tool of its foreign policy and strategic depth in the region", he added.
The Mohajir leader outlined the plight of the minorities in Pakistan including the Mohajirs, Baloch, Pashtun and people of Gilgit Baltistan. The VoK chairman added that Islamabad has been "violating the basic rights of its ethnic and religious minorities, the superior judiciary has become the tool of military establishment and violation of the constitution by Army generals is a normal routine in the country"."There are over a hundred million Mohajirs, Balochs, Pashtuns and other ethnic entities who are facing near-genocide at the hands of Pakistani security forces whose majority hails from the country's Punjab Province only", the statement said.

It has been like that for a while but the H&D obsessed Pakis somehow pretended that everything was fine and dandy and they were moderates and sane and just like the west (remember Musharraf's 'enlightened moderation'?).

This change has driven them batshit crazy with impotent rage and they have completely exposed themselves as a bunch of ranting, helpless crazies.

As Imran whinges about Kashmir, Afghanistan complains to UNSC over Pak targeting bordering districts.

Even as Pakistan whinged about the Kashmir issue despite clear indications from Washington and New Delhi that it was a bilateral affair, Afghanistan wrote to the United Nations Security Council over Islamabad targeting and shelling district situated at the border.

They could have easily closed the airspace to PM's flights to and from France during the past few days, yet they didn't. After all the name calling, it's the least they could have done. Instead they are out to target all travelers, and the following will be our reciprocal:
1. We will close all air routes entering Pak airspace to all airlines
2. Pak's overflight forex income will go down by 90%
3. The few flights connecting Pakis to SL/SEAsia will be decimated; the only reasonable way for them to travel East would be either backtracking from the Gelf, or the northern route to China (Beijing/Urumqi)

Pak planning to shut airspace, trade route for India
August 27, 2019
Pakistan is once again mulling a complete ban on the use of the country's airspace by Indian flights, a senior minister said on Tuesday, weeks after the Indian government revoked Jammu and Kashmir's special status. Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said the decisions to close the airspace with India and to ban the use of Pakistan's land routes for India's trade with Afghanistan were taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
'Prime Minister is considering a complete closure of airspace to India, a complete ban on use of Pakistan land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan was also suggested in Cabinet meeting, legal formalities for these decisions are under consideration... Modi has started, we'll finish!' he tweeted.
Pakistan had fully closed its airspace in February after an Indian Air Force strike on a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp in Balakot.
The country opened its airspace for all flights except for New Delhi, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur on March 27.
On May 15, Pakistan extended its airspace ban for flights to India till May 30. It fully opened its airspace for all civilian traffic on July 16.
Pakistan has already suspended its trade with India and stopped the train and bus services in protest to India's August 5 decision to end Jammu and Kashmir's special status.
Tensions between India and Pakistan spiked after India abrogated provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution to withdraw Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcated it into two Union Territories, evoking strong reactions from Pakistan.
India has categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 was an internal matter and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality. Separately, Special Assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan told the media that the Kashmir issue was also discussed at the Cabinet meeting. She said that the Cabinet endorsed Prime Minister Khan's view to fight the Kashmir case in the United Nations and every other world forum.
After Pakistan failed to drum up international support for its belligerent stand on Kashmir, Khan said on Monday that he will raise the issue at every international forum, including at the United Nations General Assembly. Khan's address to the nation came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France on Monday, categorically rejected any scope for third party mediation between India and Pakistan on Kashmir.

It is really fun to see the takleef and shear helplessness of the various Paki 'anal'ysts, political commentators at the way India has walked all over them on Article 370 and 35A. They thought they would get support from most of the countries and they got kicked by all of them. They are now reduced to hoping that the human rights bodies all over the world and articles in various rags published in New York, Washington and London will somehow make India reverse its decision.

More and more pakis are realizing that they have been exposed as helpless and impotent in their inability to do anything vis-a-vis India. Even intellectuals (by paki standards) have now stated that as time goes by and the world forgets about India annexing Kashmir (their words), it will be difficult to live with this defeat and our humiliation will only increase with each passing day so Pakistan should now not shy away from declaring war and use the nuclear weapons against India.

PTI govt books highest-ever budget deficit of Rs3.45tr - Shahbaz Rana
ISLAMABAD: In the first year of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, public finances deteriorated further with budget deficit rising to a record Rs3.45 trillion or 8.9% of the size of national economy because of its sheer failure to enhance revenues and control expenditures.
Official figures released by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday confirmed that the PTI government exceeded its budget deficit target by 82% which stood at Rs3.444 trillion in fiscal year 2018-19. The budgetary deficit target was just Rs1.9 trillion.
The 8.9% deficit was the highest in the past eight years in terms of the size of national economy. In absolute terms, it was the highest-ever deficit, which broke last year’s record of Rs2.3 trillion, showed the finance ministry data.
The disappointing results have made the 2019-20 budget irrelevant within two months of its approval by the National Assembly. The results have also put a question mark over the government’s ability to deliver on promises made under the $6-billion agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The budget deficit in first year of the PTI government was worse than last years of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) governments. Traditionally, the governments tend to spend more in their last year in power compared with the first year which has historically remained the year of consolidation.

If they close their air space during 'peace time', India should unilaterally abrogate IWT and tell the world bank to take a hike.

Abrogating IWT is easier said than done. It is toothless without a way to divert the water. Also, in some sense it is a nuclear option because it can heavily disrupt Paki food security which can be taken as a declaration of war, and will not win us much sympathy. We could, of course, cut the water by a graduated amount for them to feel pain... regardless we need the means to do so.

I was actually thinking about IWT today & IMO there is no need to abrogate it for many reasons:

1. Even if India abrogated today, it would take 7-10 years to build the dams to make this effective. Might as well build first.

2. IWT takes away from Pakistan the argument that they need Cashmere for water security. Why give TSP an argument to bolster their thoroughly discredited claim to Cashmere?

3. There might be ways to starve TSP of water without abrogating IWT by (i) completely damming the non Cashmere rivers and (ii) exploiting all possible loopholes for the Cashmere rivers. Why go through the hassle of abrogating IWT when deadly Bania yindoo Lawyers can find ways to do the same thing w/o abrogating IWT?

No, it should be the reverse. Use the salami tactics. We need to normalise the deviations.

Wait a bit for Bakis to provide us justification and then announce abrogation of IWT. There will be hue and cry, but it'll subside because we don't have infra at our end to stop water anyway

Do nothing for a couple of years. Release water as if IWT is in de facto effect. But stop attending meetings and doing anything official.

Start building reservoirs on tributaries for drinking water supply and irrigation. Create a new normal.

Then start building big fans

There is massive, sparsely populated real estate in Ladakh and J&K that is now accessible to central govt after removal of Art 370. We can make use of the areas around the rivers to do large scale modern farming that can use cutting edge hydroponics etc (like what the Dutch are doing with tomatoes; https://www.nationalgeographic.com/maga ... e-farming/) that use a lot of water but don't take up much land either. Win win as we have high value crops and boost the local and national economy.

Another thing that we could do is open up tanning industries in the areas just before the rivers cross over to Pakistan. Another way to generate jobs and do a calibrated screwing of Pakis.

I had mentioned the tanning option (and some of what we can do under IWT) in my article in Swarajya.

According to pakis 5th generation warfare is to make a lot of noise online and on international forums and wring their hands in helplessness if anyone points out to homegrown terror.

Shaktimaan Ji :

IMO - It depends if the Lizard will "flood" Military Aid to the Terroristanis as in the Present Economic State of Terroristan it would be impossible to do so!

Imran says Germany and Japan are neighbors. Delegates puzzled.

Nothing to be puzzled about. Please read the full context of the speech, it is about how "Germany and Japan were both killing millions of their own civilians, then they saw the light and decided to open industries on their shared(!!!) borders, and see where they are today!"

False equivalence between evil Modi, Nazi Germany, and Imperial Japan, taken too far, led to this phenomenal gaffe. He didn't stop with saying it once, in true Paki fashion, he repeatedly hammered home the point of shared peaceful borders between Germany and Japan today. Enjoy.

I would suggest given past experience Pakis are upto something, it was similarly ignored before Kargil. I hope defences forces and GOI are able to get whatever the Pakis are planning.
