in other news, sinopec has beat some 22 other contestants to operate the oil bunkering facility at hambantota.

pro sinic factions of the SL elite may be ok with such a situation where SL is in financial distress and forced into debt trap.

we should encourage the SL non-sinic pasand elite to tear up such contracts on national security grounds and tell cheen to take a hike. addiction to cheen loans is like addiction to sugar and corrupts the countries elite.

the other 5 may be critically wounded and unable to identify themselves. stands to reason they would have gone to eat breakfast together when the jihadi pig joined the queue.

death toll is gone up to 290

short term this will lead to a flood of western money and evangelization in the region

long term people will get fatigue from the constant drumbeat of supremacist religions and rediscover value of older faiths

Just a couple of points:
-Why are SL authorities so reluctant to give out the names of the identified bombers and arrested suspects?
Refer this statement of State Minister of Defence : “Don’t give extremists a voice. Don’t help to make them martyrs,” State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene told reporters when asked for details of those in custody.
Police officials privately said the suspects were all from the minority Muslim community.
- As reported here:
https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/world/24-people-arrested-in-connection-with-multiple-blasts-in-sri-lanka/762052.htm
This point about denying publicity and martyrs status etc is just fluff, especially in the context of today's electronic and social media.
- Point to note is that Defence and Law & Order are under President Sirisena - who is not exactly inclined towards India. The intelligence warning by India would have been brought to his attention. Is this an effort to control the narrative by Sirisena or even give it an anti-India twist?

- Perhaps its in the above context that Indian media are naming the suspects and the group with the SL authorities giving info off the record whereas officially SL appears to be to be stonewalling information.

The de-fusing of two bombs at the IHC was reported by Ramana Saab (through internal sources, no doubt). Curious that there appears to be no mention in the main-stream media.

His organisation TNTJ or Thowheed Jamaat is part of PFI/ SDPI which supports UPA in various states. As long as people ignore extremists for self benefits or narrow political aims, they are bound to grow further and further.

Social media in SL may be off the air after the attacks. The GoSL doesn't want public lynchings and mob violence in the streets. The SL muslim leaders are scared and have already appealed for calm

The news/names of the suicide bombers came before the clampdown on the social media.

Anyway, it is an internal security matter of the SLs and how they choose to play it is their business. SLs do not need any lessons from India about how to handle terrorism.

They know better than us how to break the eggs and make the omelette too.

the de-fusing of two bombs at the IHC was also on SM.

no one has claimed responsibility so the GoSL/press is very right in being circumspect.

moreover, the outfits to which the bombers belonged to are now widely known.

Thowheed Jamaat was behind the Ambur riots in Tamil Nadu in 2015.
An old post of mine on it quoted below.
Lilo wrote:... speaking of the riot in Ambur 2 years back , i know that TN police bore the brunt of it.
The TN police were chased on the highway in night by peaceful mobs and beaten on the Chennai-Bangalore National Highway.Even the SP was not spared and made to bleed on the Road.Consider the plight of the lower cadre.
TN police couldn't even protect the women police amidst them - they were grabbed by the "Tamil speaking" pissfull mob and usual things expected from a pissfull mob(taharrush) done to them.
A new Police recruit posted in that general area recounted to me the stories later.

As usual the spark was an incident of love jihad when a young married Dalit Hindu woman was seduced and disappeared for one "Tamil speaking" Shameel Basha leaving behind her 3 year old son.The guy who also happens to be a Towheed local head who through love jihad seduced the married woman away from her family, died due to an heart attack( or made into a sacrifice ?) few hours after being released after being subjected to third degree trying to find the woman's whereabouts.
So the thowheed declared Jihad in Ambur and went on a night long rampage blocking the arterial Highway.

Next time when dutty naarthies are suggested to try the phamous Ambur chicken biryani(made with love and beef fat by "Tamil speaking" Muslims of Ambur) maybe someone will ask their Tamil Hindu friends further relevant questions on Ambur apart from the Biriyani.

the stress on all bombers being SL is ONLY to keep their paki friends happy and may have even been mandated by the pakis.

The SLs don't want to burn any more boats, after having massively pissed off India with their cheeni dalliance and the hambanthota drama.

Being two clever by half, the SLs dug their own grave using han supplied shovels and then fell into it all by their lonesome selves.

I have no love lost for the pakis but the fact is cancer has spread far too deep ; 10 years ago idea of hating people to this level was limited to people within TSP borders . That hate has successfully managed to take deep roots in parts of India like WB, Kerala , TN , BD and some parts of gangetic belt too. SL case is simple outbreak of symptoms as it was a soft target .

This is a very important point, if true, that most people have missed. So naming and shaming the perpetrators and leaking the memo should not really hurt the India-friendly Ranil Wickramasinghe but rather the pro-Chinese and anti-Indian Sirisena.

Sri Lanka is a sort of a chota paki at heart in the sense that they have consciously tried to deny their own roots and carve out an artificial identity of their own just like pakis do.

Rajitha Senaratne says international links will be probed

Government spokesman Rajitha Senaratne said that the Sri Lanka government will investigate links between the local outfit suspected to be responsible for the Easter Sunday attacks and international elements. "We don't see that only a small organisation in this country can do all that," he said.

"We are now investigating the international support for them, and their other links, how they produced the suicide bombers here, and how they produced bombs like this," he added, at a press conference.

Sri Lanka govt seeks international assistance in probe into international links

The Sri Lankan government is seeking global assistance to investigate the possibility of the perpetrators of the crime having international links, reports said.

Documents seen by AFP show Sri Lanka's police chief issued a warning on 11 April, saying that a "foreign intelligence agency" had reported NTJ was planning attacks on churches and the Indian high commission.

Reports also said that Sirisena was likely to declare 23 April as the national day of mourning in tribute to the victims of the explosions on Sunday.

every country in south asia barring us is primarily identified as "not india". it is only natural that they rail against this order and try to carve their own identity. nepalis do the gadhimai festival in opposition to the peaceful hindu and cow loving nature, sl are secular exemplar except against people from the north, bds are emotionally unstable and can be identified amongst many nationalities, bhutan is blissful, myanmmar is a buddhist junta, and the pakis are pakis.

Hain?
Gadhimai is an old festival where often young unproductive(read male) Buffaloe are slaughtered to the Goddess. There is a species level difference between a Cow & a Buffaloe.
There are many places in India where Buffaloe are sacrificed to Goddess Kali & her many forms .
And this practice is millenia old starting from tribal societies.

So its hardly a festival nepalis have supposedly invented to cock a snook at the "peacefull" cow loving nature of naarthies.
Please to avoid broad generalizations especially when it leads to wedging with fellow indics.

Yes I know about rajrappa, but only Nepal is in the news for animal slaughter, our little adventures are not recorded in public memory, which I tried to poorly portend.
also they are narthies themselves, and aside from following Indic religion in name only are anti india. I have lived amongst many to know that their attitudes are one of superiority and disdain for us.

Definitely Pak hand. Recall ISI had a module in Colombo to do terror attacks? They put a bomb and as the train got delayed it blew up in Nellore.

Any confirmations of Pak Hand? I only wish for such a link to be exposed.

plenty.

four Indian fishermen have been taken into custody by the CG and have been sent for interrogation. They were found loitering on some tiny island close to katchatheevu.

Individual variations of some special ayurvedic treatment may be under administration, even as we speak.

Barely hours after the bombs went off in SL, the IN and CG were placed on high alert all around the coast bordering SL and some ways beyond that.

Looks like the surviving rear axle of the Van packed with explosives in Srilanka.
Cant imagine what is the fate of the Bomb diffusing squad :(
Edit: Ok saw few videos suspect no one died in that as it may be a "controlled explosion" by bomb disposal squad. Those taking the video are seen signalling & hiding before the explosion goes off surprised they did explosion in a public residential area though.
