It has a demoralizing effect on one party and adds to the benefit of the BJP publicly.

such high level defections are also a huge telling commentary on naidu's politics to the disregard of AP's betterment and the frenzied pushing of his personal political agenda the likes of which was witnessed when he ran from pillar to post to annoint himself as a key figure in the anti Modi front which he was trying to revive.

jagans charges of corruption against naidu will now start to gain traction.

like some wise ameriki general said, grab them by their b@!!$ and their hearts and minds will soon follow.

Good point Devesh.. TDP cadre in TG is not a problem, they will shift loyalties easily. But Congress cadre are not shifting loyalties easily.. they still see themselves as a viable alternative to both TRS & BJP. Already some leaders had to face embarrassing situations where they announced joining BJP only to have their cadre walk away on them for being opportunists.

"Narasimha Rao Was Sidelined": Grandson Says Gandhis Should Apologise

The Congress sidelined PV Narasimha Rao to keep the focus on the Nehru-Gandhi family, said his grandson on Friday and demanded an apology from Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for ignoring the former prime minister.
Narasimha Rao's grandson, NV Subhash, who is now affiliated to the BJP, claimed that Congress leaders did not pay respects to the former prime minister on his birth anniversary today.

"After the Congress's 1996 debacle, he (Mr Rao) was sidelined due to many issues, which were not concerned with his government policies. The Congress party thought that if anyone apart from Gandhi-Nehru family continues then they themselves will not be noticed and so he was sidelined," Mr Subhash told ANI.

"All failures of the Congress party have been attributed to PV Narasimha Rao and his contributions have not been credited to him. I demand that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should apologise, and come and pay their tributes to him," he lashed out at the Congress.

Mr Subhash had joined the BJP in 2014 and is one of the official spokespersons of the party's Telangana unit.

He alleged that even on his grandfather's 98th birth anniversary, the Telangana Congress leaders did not pay their obeisance to the former prime minister.

I thought another language chauvinist.

Nannayya of 11th century is Panini and Adi Kavi of Telugu that more or less kept his rules till now with Chinnaya Suri being mini-Panini of modern Telugu. Before it was Telugu of Vishukundini/Iskshvahu who patronized it in 5-6th century. Before in Satavahana period what ever proto Telugu was there got prakrut-ized.

Phases roughly are:
Proto Telugu -> Satavahana/Prakrit Telugu (400 BC - 1 CE) -> Telugu (500 CE) * -> Nannayya Telugu (1100 CE) -> Rayala Telugu (1400 CE) -> Chinnaya Suri Telugu (1800 CE) -> Modern Telugu

* Telugu as we know today consolidated around 5th century.

The point of all the "leaders" joining BJP in TG and AP is to create the mahaoul that now on BJP is THE alternative to those in power. The end result is to get TDP cadre and what better way to set the rythm than get some leaders from TDP into BJP. It should be seen from this lens only.

CM ends 23-month Chandi Yagam with ‘purnahuti’

A ritual performed for 23 months for the success of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the elections in the State came to a close on Monday. Sri Maharudra Satha Dwisahasra Chandi Yagam that began on July 29, 2017, was closed with a ‘purnahuti’ performed by Mr. Jagan who took time off to perform the rituals in the fields outside Tadepalli village where the Chief Minister resides.

The Chief Minister then felicitated the ‘ritwiks’ who performed the yagam with silk shawls and gold bracelets for their efforts.

The organisers of the yagam, speaking to the media later, said that the yagam was performed for the victory of Mr. Jagan and also the prosperity of Andhra Pradesh people who were facing so many challenges.

The pradhana archaka, Sivarama Prasada Sarma, who performed the yagam said that Mr. Jagan who won the elections with such a big majority performed the ‘purnahuti’(closing ritual) to strengthen the impact of the yagna which was conducted for one year and 11 months. Everything would work in the favour of A.P. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi would help in the development of the State, he said. Starting with the Panchanga Sravanam on Ugadi Day, astrologers and archakas have been predicting Mr. Jagan’s victory.

A hotbed of hollow linguistic pride, Tamil Nadu must witness a resistance movement to shatter the social stagnation, rediscover its cultural literacy, and become the land of dharma it was once in character and core.

TANA ideally was supposed to be non-partisan Telugu Association of North America. But for all practical purposes, Kamma casteists and TDP sympathizers have turned it into TDP association of North America. I thought after the drubbing they got, they will learn their lessons. But no. They have to display their cheap partisan mentality in US also. TANA invited Ram Madhav to their National convention in DC and then insulted him. He was asked to give a speech and as soon as Ram Madhav started talking about Modi, his achievement in creating a new nationalist United India, some CBN/Lokesh sympathizers started booing him, raising anti-Modi, anti-BJP slogans and created a ruckus. Ram Madhav had to cut short his speech and afterwards left the venue immediately. The organizers have been incompetent in stopping these TDP rowdies. Utterly shameful.

Those hooligans are mostly NRI-TDP people. This time TANA attendance was high compared to previous ones. I was told they want to brush off the image that they are TDP covert organization or Kamma castiest organization and hence invited people across political spectrum. Pawan Kalyan was invited and many NRI Pawan fans (Kapus) were present as well. That could be the reason for high attendance. Pawan dissed both Jagan and Modi in his speech. Gossip mostly from Jagan/YSRCP supporters is TDP brought off Pawan kalyan and he is TDP's stooge. When Ram Madhav started his speech and mentioned Modi, a section of crowd (NRI-TDP people) suddenly became unruly and started shouting anti-Modi slogans. TANA president and another person came onto stage and tried to reprimanded the crowd but no use. TANA president then hurriedly presented Ram Madhav a shawl and try to conclude. However the anti-Modi slogans didn’t subside and Ram Madhav had to quietly walk away from the event.

TV9 (which is anti-BJP channel currently owned by TRS moneybag) grapevine is Ram Madhav came as part of "operation akarsha" for secret talks with TDP leaders/moneybags/coverts. He also met Pawan Kalyan behind the scenes and had some secret discussions.

Another theory/gossip going rounds is TANA invited Ram Madhav at the behest of CBN who wanted a "ceasefire" with BJP. As per this theory, CM Ramesh/Sujana/Garikapati who are CBN moneybags and close confidants crossed over to BJP as part of CBN's political strategy to have a covert communication channels with BJP after he burnt his bridges with Modi overtly. They point out that till now after all these leaders have crossed over, CBN havent personally critisized Modi/BJP on this matter yet. They say these TDP coverts will play the same role which Vijayasai Reddy plays for Jagan (as a conduit between BJP and Jagan).

chetak wrote: isn't Ram Madhav a telugu himself

Yes, he is. He is a Telugu Brahmin. So is another BJP face in AP - GVL Narashimha rao. TDP and TANA are Kamma dominated. Kamma-Brahmin tensions goes back to early 20th century when Kammas spearheaded anti-Brahmin movement (but not with as much vile as in Tamil nadu). So there is that angle as well. CBN tried to come out of this anti-Brahmin tag and tried to woo Brahmins. He even set up a Brahmin specific welfare corporation and beneficiaries were given over 200 crores. But a small section of castiest Kammas still have this anti-Brahmin prejudice and view BJP as "party of Brahmins".

Taqiya. Just this week, his uncle Y.S. Manohar Reddy celebrated his birthday with his supporters in Tirumala hills by cutting a cake in a hotel. This guy helps Jagan's mother (who is a Christian fanatic) in Church administration. It is illegal to take a cake to Tirumala Hills and have a birthday party with fan following. Apparently, the security in Alipiri let him go without checking or if even if they checked, they did not bother to enforce the rule out of fear of Jagan and TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, a fellow family member. For some reason, Jagan's family is hell bent on controlling Tirumala right from YSR days.

IT raids on TRS/KCR money bag Rameshwar Rao leads to unravelling of a Scam

https://twitter.com/rvaidya2000/status/ ... 0685515777

developing story on scam : KCR side seems to have pumped in several hundred crores to TMC/DMK/JDS/BJD etc to make him as deputy PM if non-NDA wins--My Home Rameshwara Rao raided__Kaleshwaram project is gravy train--Interesting times:)) RT

More details below

https://twitter.com/KPadmaRani1/status/ ... 8123186176

My Home: Hub Of 1000crore Hawala

Vendetta driven attack on TV9 former CEO Ravi Prakash by My Home Rameshwara Rao boomeranged.
A complaint copy of Ravi Prakash that surfaced on social media sites followed by IT raids on the invincible Rameshwar Rao seems to have escalated things. The IT Raids seem to have put the devotee of Chinna Jeeyar and his associates in trouble. During the raids the officials gathered reliable information that points directly to the political funding during the recently concluded Parliament elections.

The special IT team investigating Rameshwara Rao and his aides found compelling evidence that hundreds of crores of rupees was sent to Kumaraswamy in Karnataka, Stalin in Tamil Nadu, Navin Patnaik in Odissa, Mamata in West Bengal, Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh to gain support for making Telangana CM KCR as the Deputy PM in case of a coalition government.

Mammoth amount of cash reserves were said to have been generated in the kaleshwaram project. 85,000 crore irrigation project that is being projected as a pioneering one was a cash cow. It is said that about 40% of the project cost was cashed out through Mega Krishna Reddy’s company MEIL. Mega Krishna Reddy who is the other aide of KCR, in turn pumped the cash into My Home Rameshwara Rao’s cement, steel and real estate companies.

Current raids are not about the RMZ deal as My Home group has been projecting but to establish this whole link between KCR, his aides Rameshwara Rao, Mega Krishna Reddy & hawala money cycle. Huge amount of cash is hoarded at the very pious Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s ashram in Hyderabad.

IT officials received a tip that Rameshwara Rao’s secretary Venkata Rao is currently busy moving cash from the ashram. Jeeyar’s men are pressuring the investigating officers’ quoting the ashram’s connections with Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
They are trying to gain immunity using her name ? IT officials are looking at other accomplices - Bowenpally Srinivasa Rao, Yashoda group and Ravinder Rao. Resident of Shamshabad area, Ravinder Rao is believed to be the king-pin in moving cash via the hawala route.

Center is very clear on making this operation a success & hence formulated a team of sleuths from Karnataka. It is not a secret that IT officials in Telangana are close to My Home group. Rameshwara Rao’s son Ram Juppally even attends family functions of prominent officers here. It is only a matter of time to see how many dominos will fall in this scam that involves thousands of crores of public money.

How do you know nothing will happen?

Have you envisaged that the holy/very pious Chinna Jeer Swamy (CJS) is the money hub of TG? And holds funds for both Telugu states?
And note the throwing in of NS name as a freebie.
She is the one sending the IT folks.

One of our members drew a connectivity/nexus diagram of this whole raid.
it leads directly to KCR.
And loot of Kaleshwaram project.

Earlier in the event in the political forum discussion, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy was heckled by those who attended the forum. This was a day before Ram Madhav came to TANA. All the politicians - Ganta, Vishnu, Nadendla Manohar, Krishnadevaraylu etc were all in the same hotel, and they all had discussions in their rooms itself. Unlike in earlier versions of TANA where they would be hosted by some families and meet at the venue, so could have an ear towards their discussions.
Before the TANA Key Note Ram Madhav had a discussion with a select group of people, here also some idiot raised the issue of Special Status to AP. Ram Madhav was clear on it, told the person taht it is a closed chapter, that special status was not in the bill inspite of recommendation by Jaitley and Venkaiah. Ram M also mentioned that GoI is ready to give what it takes to develop AP but the ask should come from GoAP. He mentioned clearly that even though GoI repeatedly asked from Babu a laundry list of items that he needs for AP, it never came except the ask for moneyw ithout strings [he didnt mention this explicity but very clearly implied it]. He said that they [GoI] have extended the same offer to jagan - send us the list of things you want to develop in AP and GoI will work towards it. He said that modi and BJP want to do more than what a special status would grant for AP but GoAP wasnt ready for it. Hopefully it will be ready now.

As for the hecking and booing in the TANA conf itself, I think it was all pre-planned. The moment Ram Madhav got onto stage quite a few people were instigating others to start booing, heckling etc. Before he even started the speech. TANA as an org for Telugus has outlived its purpose imho.

I think your last line says it all.
Sad for it was a premier ethnic organization created in late 1979.
Already two other associations (ATA and NATS) were formed.

The cynic in me says so because Raja and Kanimozi got away with help of CBI judge Siani and a Prosecutor Anand Grover. Chidambaram and Karti have not spent one day in jail. Don;t know what happened to Jagan's cases. Lost all hopes on investigative and judiciary branches.

VijayK, Saini is retiring. Grover got raided just yesterday.
Jagan cases are still going on. Nothing has been withdrawn.

Now,
TANA and NATS : TDP
ATA and NATA: YSRCP
TATA: TRS
APTA: Jana Sena

So essentially Telugus have split on historical lines.

Great news on Grover and Jaisingh.
I am sure they will run to their patrons/blackmailing targets in SC to bail them out but keep them busy. They were collecting from every EJ/BIF such as Ford Foundation

I hope they raid Saini too after he retired. He must have got tons from PC and Raja

This video is going viral in Telugu social media. NRI Telugus in this video are cheering that this guy was speaking in Telugu. He says he stayed 2 years in Andhra Pradesh in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. None of those cheering ladies/gents asked him why he learnt Telugu and what he was doing 2 years in Andhra Pradesh.

I bet he is a EJ who finished his 2 year stint overseas and learnt the native language as part of evangelization. And God knows how many people he or his group converted. Instead of asking probing questions and understanding why he learnt our language and the threat that poses, they are cheering that a foreigner learnt our language. Naivety of our folks.

TANA and NATS : TDP
ATA and NATA: YSRCP
TATA: TRS
APTA: Jana Sena

Interesting phenomenon for social science. it is reflecting Telugu lands' politics in India.
No wonder BJP man heckled in India and US same way.

Rephrasing what you said,

> TANA and ATA in 1993

Kammas vs Reddies or TDP vs INC

> ATA and NATA in 2008 [*]

Commoner Reddy vs Rich Reddy

> TANA and NATS in 2009

Commoner Kamma vs Rich Kamma

> NATA and TATA in 2015. [*]

Andhra vs Telangana

> APTA was also formed 5 yrs ago.

I'm ignoring all-inclusive religious and regional groups (such as BATA in SF Bay Area) and party-specific groups.

Have you envisaged that the holy/very pious Chinna Jeer Swamy (CJS) is the money hub of TG? And holds funds for both Telugu states?
And note the throwing in of NS name as a freebie.
She is the one sending the IT l.

This time frame fits the profile.

Good details ShyamSP garu

NATA and TATA

Andhra Reddy's vs Telangana Reddy's to be more specific.

But nothing comes close to TANA and NATS in terms of both membership and resources/money power. In Last TANA session at DC, I was told around 16,000 people attended. Thats equal or more than all the combined rest of the orgs could muster for their annual sessions . That reflects Kamma's money power, resources and more importantly their organization capabilities among diasporic orgs in US.

Kuttipuram in Mallapuram district, more greener than Porkisthan. The Calicut airport officials (smuggling & trafficking), Calicut university, MES colleges all should be closely monitored by NIA. uneducated mullahs fight with swords while educated ones are into propaganda and indoctrination.

So are those imported mines or from Indian Army?
I don't think OFB makes such mines.
