Yes we should think about the Ronin in TDP. Their leaders have jumped and they need to be shown alternate marga.
TN and Kerala are driven by Congress common factor.
Secularism is dead everywhere else.

Danda neeti is needed.

The vote by Kerala and Tn on Art 370 is troubling.
Cannot be so narrow minded on a national issue.

No. The (big) dams are practically empty. The smaller ones downstream are filled up and some opened. The rain seems to be more in the foothills and midlands this time. Last time it went further up and dumped beyond the big dams.

Too bad we don't have the predictor up and running. Can we get at least the MilkForest area covered quickly?

Changing equations in AP. We are all expecting this.

U-Turn opportunistic Babu does another U-turn after getting trashed and trying to warm up to BJP

Thaw after bitter battle ? Chandrababu Naidu makes a quick U-turn, warms up to BJP

TDP’s recent actions in Parliament and Naidu’s virtual silence over his four MPs shifting loyalties to BJP shows that he is inching closer to the NDA at the Centre, TDP sources said.

Naidu, who worked with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a bid to defeat the BJP, did not meet him even once after the poll results

Meanwhile, BJP keen to take on the role of the opposition before TDP recovers and interestingly it appears that AP BJP leaders thinks TDP will recover.

BJP keen to take on Jagan, plans dharna on August 16

“The government is fast losing popularity with its hurried policy making. It has brought entire developmental activity in the state to a grinding halt in the guise of investigations" said BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana.

He said putting sand supplies on hold has resulted in massive unemployment as lakhs of daily wagers were struggling for work. “How could a popular government take such hasty decisions without making alternative arrangements" he asked. He also alleged that police were creating terror by encouraging attacks on opposition leaders and activists.

Sources said the BJP central leadership has no role in the programmes being chalked out by the state leadership. The BJP state leadership says it will occupy the political space in the state only by playing the role of the opposition. BJP leaders are not mincing words to criticize the state government’s policies on various issues in spite of YSRC extending crucial support to the BJP-led Union government in Parliament.

Interestingly, BJP’s demand for implementation of 5 percent reservations for Kapu community within the 10 percent quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) has created ripples in political circles as it is being seen as BJP’s attempt to attract the Kapus.

The BJP state leadership seems to have ignored pressures from its core supporters--Brahmin and Vysyas--and demanded quota for the Kapus in EWS only to corner YSRC. “BJP seems to be in a hurry to take the main opposition slot as it is is worried about TDP’s chances of recovery,” said an analyst.

Curiously, the YSRC leadership is maintaining restraint and is not reacting to comments of BJP leaders. YSRC leaders say Jaganmohan is capable of handling the issues with the he BJP top leadership.

Request to use proper place names as people outside kerala cant make sense of it. Palakkad has received heavy rainfall as per whatsapp but not as severe as in hilly areas of wayanad and malapuram.

If there are enough complaints, then govt should take over Church of South India (CSI) and all its educational institutions should be nationalized and brought under government, similar to how Annamalai university was taken over by govt. CSI is the biggest recipient of foreign donation in India I think.

Can someone from TN confirm it? Is it just bypoll with less voter enthusiasm or slowly wheels are turning against DMK

Don't think so. BJP did not campaign much,(would have made it worse for ADMK) and ADMK did put up a good show unlike GE2019 where it did not put much efforts.

It will take some good leadership in TN to sway TN away from the current narrative that is increasingly getting dominated by BIF. Social media war is being won by BIF but there is some fightback though yet to make an impact. PIF needs some popular figures to help change narrative

It feels like BJP is squandering away some goodwill in Telangana. There is a constituency in north TG called Nizamabad, where the CM's daughter, Kavita, was defeated by a fresh political face from BJP, Aravind. One of his victory reasons was the farmer angst against against TRS for not pursuing a Turmeric board. BJP candidate promised to get this done within 5 days of his election or resign his seat. Its been 2 months so far and he has apparently not done anything. He is issuing statements of renaming Nizamabad to a Hindu name, of the great effort that Modi-Shah are doing with Art 370, but those do not translate into living up to the promises he made to his constituents.

There is a narrative being built of elected BJP MPs not focusing on local development and focusing too much on national issues..

Minister Botcha alleges Sujana Chowdary bought 623.12 acres before capital announcement

Minister Botcha alleges Sujana Chowdary bought 623.12 acres before capital announcement

29th August 2019

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary, who claimed that he has no land in the villages falling under Amaravati capital region, is in possession of a large extent of land abutting the capital region, a government source said. The lands are in a safe distance from the land pooling zone, the source said. The revelation has proved Sujana’s claims wrong and justified the State government’s stand that there was insider trading in Amaravati capital land pooling.

“The family members of Sujana bought 623.12 acres of land in the capital region outside the land pooling zone,’’ the sources said. The details of the land deals came out when Municipal Administration Minister Botcha Satyanarayana, during his visit to the capital region recently to assess floods, said that a former Union minister has a large area of land in the capital region. Sujana, who visited the capital area on Wednesday, refuted the allegations of insider trading and said he has no land in the capital region. Botcha immediately hit back and revealed details of Sujana’s land deals just before the announcement of the capital city.

There were allegations that the then chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had given prior information to his close aides about the proposed capital Amaravati. Many TDP leaders are said to have purchased land after that at low cost from the farmers of Amaravati. It may be recalled that Sujana, who was with the TDP, joined the BJP after the 2019 elections.

Those villages mentioned are in I think in his native places in Krishna Dist. So this is hardly an issue not that he is any Saint.

So they got minister Botsa by resurrecting Volkswagon scams and he came up with non-sense scams of BJP person and some empty threat on moving capital. All are making noise to give BJP leaders who got <1% in recent elections to make more noise. Mostly silly accusations and counter accusations.

Meanwhile those with real cases on real scams are still leading life of babus, ministers and chief ministers. They don't have money to do more scams now so they are fishing all sources to get their election spending back.

Meanwhile AP is getting screwed and getting taste of their decision. Sand scam is favorite past time of local leaders to earn. Last year it was some 1500-2000 I think per truck now after change sand policy last 2 months it is now 3500-4000 per truck.

Maridhas, the YouTube vlogger, seems to be making some impact. Events of this week show how well-networked the BIF are. As soon as DMK's complaint against Maridhas got lots of publicity, "Environmental Activist" Piyush Manush - who became famous for protesting against the Salem Highway project - went into a BJP local office, raised a ruckus and got beaten up. All media showed sanitized versions of the video to "prove" that Piyush was only decently exercising his right to speech. Apparently, he really provoked the BJP workers by taking the usual "Indian Army rapes women in Kashmir" line. Now, tweets floating around that say the whole episode was directed by News 18. Predictably, all the BIF twitterati including Stalin tweeted against BJP. Maridhas has been hidden now.

TN has reached a very nasty stage. Ordinary people are definitely being poisoned. I remember some individuals in my extended family also parroting the "Indian Army rapes women in Kashmir" line several months ago.

TN got poisoned by Free loans and Bank write off's, there is hard working element which is 60%, absolutely lazy element of 40%. With the combination of Drought natural Disaster, one time heavy election funding, the stars aligned for BIF in 2019. I may be wrong, but come May 2021, BIF will get a shock.

2019 LS election in TN was what Karnataka Assembly Election in Feb 2018, CH, RJ, MP in Dec 2018- everybody felt they had to get it out of there system for their perceived greivences against Modi.
Let Stalin go and use his UN invite and talk, lets see him do this.

Non-Hindus can't work in Andhra's Hindu temples
Taking the issue of non-Hindus working in Hindu temples of the state very seriously, the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government has ordered that only those who have converted to Hinduism will be allowed to stay in the job.
The bolded part is a bit dicey. Token conversions can be done and jobs retained, but at least this order is in the positive direction. And looks like there would also be a kind of vigilance sqauds which would make random checks at the home of the employees to figure out which religion they currently believe in ;).

In Karnataka Yeddy is now in full swing..
BJP forms team to study beef ban laws
Yediyurappa govt drops pursuit of Karnataka flag. Siddu's plan to have an official state flag (like J&K) is now scuttled. No one would complain as J&K itself has lost its state flag .

Biggest supporter of Jagan who voted for him expressing deep dissatisfaction

* All sand disappeared. Went up from 2000 to 7000 per truck. All construction stopped.
* He stopped anna canteens.
* only thing that drives him is ant-Naidu agenda
* He is stopping Hindu charities to give help
* all promises of free money are not becoming fruitful
* I voted for him and regret it.

why are these volunteers doing to deliver rice?

Lot of angst in AP about sand. Looks like CBN is getting back into the game.

We have never seen this kind of worse situation. All he is doing is destroying attacking Naidu and only revenge.

Jagan basically stopped all projects. all land values are down. CBN will come back.

Is this TDP proaganda or real ground situation?

News from Andhra. Not a supporter of Jagan by a long shot, but at least he has done something which no non-BJP Hindu CMs have done/dared to do fearing loss of minority votes.

Jagan govt has apparently issued a GO banning non-Hindus from holding any administrative posts in temples. This follows the recent 50% reservation to SC/STs in all temple administrative boards, and seems to be done to allay concerns of Hindus that Xtian Jagan is filling up temple boards with Dalit Christians in the guise of social justice.

All existing temple employees across all Andhra temples now have to declare via signed affidavit that they are Hindus or will be fired immediately !

Some other recent measures of Jagan govt:
- Giving salary to temple priests in addition to pastors & imams
- Firing the EO of a famous shiva temple (Srisailam) for celebrating Xmas
- Announced rebuilding several temples demolished by TDP for "road widening" in Vijayawada area

Its clear that Jagan is desperate to cut down the emergence of BJP in Andhra by appearing more pro-Hindu than his predecessors.

A small but important development in Andhra, which I hope is emulated by all CMs across the country.

Frankly, even if this is done not for the right reasons, this is something a self-serving rogue like CBN wouldnt have done in a million years, even if he had absolute majority.

Attended a Telugu social gathering. Overheard that some NRI TDP morons (most probably Kammas) are planning to protest Modi in Houston along side Pakis, Khalistanis, EJs and "south asian" leftist types . Dont have any other details. If True, this is one more example of how anti-national this TDP bunch has become. They are as poisonous and venomous as Jagan's EJ batch. How much bad Karma did Andhra people have that they have to bear EJ's on one hand and casteist filth on the other hand.

Political power and Associated money, I personally know people who are part of the DMK ecosytem who have the same attitude, you fail to understand how this eco system has minted money and probaly live life in countries in USA based on such access to Bank loan write offs, land allotments, education institution license allotments etc.

In my personal experience the more weaker the moral and ethics are the more anti Modi they are.

This is one of the key outcomes of BJP's but more particularly of Modi's emergence has done. Also, it must be noted, once the Yindus are yinduised they will prefer the real deal over the fake, as happened with the CON/Rahul.

How much bad Karma did Andhra people have that they have to bear EJ's on one hand and casteist filth on the other hand.

Even the hardcore TDP guys who believed that Modi was somehow responsible in subjugating Naidu and not releasing funds to the state are pro revocation of 370 and are behind Modi/India in this instance. Among Telugu people, the most virulent pro-Kashmir folks are the CPI/CPM cadre and a select band of TRS supporters who take the first spot, followed by erstwhile congress, now Jagan guys who are opportunistic supporters in the hopes of gaining Minority votes. For all the ill deeds the Naidu clan brought to AP politics, being traitorous is not one of them. These NRI guys you heard must a statistical anomaly if they are indeed TDP supporters.

@Jay,
I don't know if your statement is still true. I don't know much about Telugu people but one thing I can confirm is what Rony wrote by recently ending up living in a community that's dominated by Telugu people. This is in US. So much so that we have put up house for sale to move out of it. Our community went to a length of supporting paki muslim on HoA board over non Telugu Indian to have their say. And, I have heard similar Telugu first stories from many non Telugu people. Just wish that I had heard earlier and would have avoided buying home in this community all together.

@ Jay,

Dont forget that many CPI/CPM people in AP are Kammas whose children joined TDP in great numbers in later years. These commie children still carry the same hatred for the "fascist BJP" which their fathers had before for Jan Sangh and RSS. They virulently hate Modi/BJP/RSS and its nothing to do with any special status to AP issue and predates it. They hate BJP because of its "Hindutva" character. Its their commie genes talking. My error of judgement is not anticipating that these commie children will go to the extent of hobnobbing with Pakis and Khalistanis to spite Modi/BJP. But i dont want to tarnish all TDP and all Kammas. There is definitely a 'right' section among them. But these traitors in NRI TDP are definitely not one of them. Even CBN and Nara Lokesh twitted and congratulated Modi on revocation of Article 370. But not sure how much control they have on these NRI TDP assholes.

I also dont want to give impression other groups are all well. Jagan EJ batch has huge support among AP Reddy NRI's and what you say about TRS elements is also true.

Darshan ji,
I dont think telugus are that much odious for nontelugus ... however we tend to be oblivious to our surroundings when we get together. And Rony ji is a telugu himself.
And why would NRI telugus "target" non telugus when they themselves have dedicated groupings to scratch each other "for kicks" based on caste even on phorien shores?

Anyway, tell your experience in detail if you can so we can categorize it.
