It appears that yogendra yadav has started a political party of his own some time back and as per TV discussions yesterday, it appears that this paragon of virtue was down in KAR during the assembly elections as well as the recent LS elections, begging the powers that be for a seat to be given to him to field an "independent" candidate.

the congis appear to have soundly kicked him on the backside.

All these machinations of this social and political parasite are conducted, as usual, in the dark shadows of political intrigue.

Chetak the vote share in Kerala tells it's own story.
BJP got 22% vote share. This means 1 in 5 Kerala voting public supported BJP.
And Hindus are about 50% in Kerala.
In other words about 1 in 2 Hindus voted.
In what alternate universe would we imagine this?

Kerala has changed.
The other Hindus voted to remove LDF.
That's the big picture.

End of Communist rule in Kerala.
Pinarayi Vijayan has lost the mandate.
He will cling on but he has no popular support.

So I believe Kerala has spoken. And its against Left.

The optimist in me feels that when even the darkest of the dark 2004-14 period with DMK/INC at state in TN/Kerala and INC at center and IM modules running amok all over, TN and Kerala did keep a decent clamp on stuff happening in their states.

So, with a strong big brother watching, might not be as bad as we fear ( or so is my hope)

True .. Also IIRC the cases are still on right? That should allow for a degree of leverage. Plus central funds are another point of leverage.

Quoting ramana:

Exactly. See the WB case first. For decades it was impossible to shake the CPM's reign of terror. Then the TMC shook them and they broke. But the TMC adopted the same tactics and tried to hold on to power. This time the people started really believing that BJP offers an alternative. So now TMC is shaking. Now the BJP and Central Govt should play its cards right (build grassroots support, build confidence in law and order, shake down TMC without using President's Rule which may backfire). I think TMC will turn into paper tigers.

Same should work in KL. Until recently (and I would say even now) a vote for BJP is a wasted vote: no chance of winning, and it just dilutes the anti-Left vote. People who are tired of the Marxists have no real option but to vote for CONGi (or local ML or Kerala Cong depending on religious diktats). If u r a smart voter, why would you take the trouble to go to the polling booth just to waste your vote?

So now the LDF is hammered in Kerala. The vehicle is INC, but the point is, Left is hammered. The next step is for BJP to keep building grassroots support and convincing the nationalist, patriotic voters (young people esp) that BJP is a real option. They can no doubt see that INC has become irrelevant as a national force - and that INC is not upholding the issues important to Hindus or nationalists. And by nationalists I mean a majority of Xtians, and many Muslims as well as Yindoos.

It is stunning to consider that ppl in Waynad voted so strongly for Pappuji, despite knowing that they were being treated like they were "backup wife in case real one isn't available" etc. They did it to kick out the LDF.

As for Kummanom R (my Evil 6th coujin has eaten lunch with him...), Surendran etc, they simply do not have that much name recognition in Malloostan, as we may imagine sitting in BRF. Yes, NaMo should make some of these people Mantris and get them into Rajya Sabha, like INC did to Ambassador Narayanan who then became Prez. WTH did he do for Malloostan I don't know, but he had Big Name Recognition.

It's a long way from 22% to at least 35%. But 22 is a lot higher than what the percentage used to be, isn't it?

Does he have any other alternative

his expensive and foolish foreign advisors who told him to go after Modi's image/reputation for honesty and incorruptibility and damage it seem to have ended up doing irreparable harm to pappu himself.

he himself is now widely seen as an inveterate liar and an incorrigible fraud

Just like TG all voted to stop return of CBN in 2018.
And now TG have 4 MP.
Each MP seat has about 7 to 8 MLA seats which translates to 28 to 32 MLAs. Out of 119 total.
And vote share was 22%. Ie. 1 in 5 TG support BJP.
And just 6 months ago BJP had 1 MLA.

Cauvery is one among many issues.
It is not going to be that easy.....there is a perception battle that needs to be fought. Just like Left is being eradicated, the DK ideology and EVR as an idol has to be first erased. Then the process of changing the mindset begins.

So state is between NC and BJP.

That is correct. He over-estimated his strength on taking mighty BJP by coming out and essentially made all forces against him too big to fight in the end. On top of it to play national politics went with traditional enemy Congress at the displeasure of core base. He should have sucked his ego and stuck with NDA and gotten money whenever there is opportunity instead did blunder that fighting for state rights as victim might bring him back to power again

On votebank strategies and tactics, he burned too much political equity on Kapus and to get HAM portion of KHAM from YCP at the expense of TDP core BC votebank instead of nurturing them in last 5 years.

His CEO CM mindset masked political and polling mindset and he arrogantly thought just like in 2004, people vote for him if he shows CEO-style development. But towards the end to save his skin, released all the welfare programs but it is too late.

Now on political side, Jagan front-loaded all the welfare schemes. Such schemes kept his father for 2 terms and they will do further depletion of money to stop any development. YSR also spoiled people by lulling with welfare schemes. Tough situation AP will be in without Center's aid.

Good opportunity for BJP to reboot AP now along with TS as it planned all along.

Freeing TTD (Tirumala) and other large temples from AP Government clutches is first thing BJP need to do. YCP goons were big into smuggling of unique Tirumala hills Red-sandal trees along with temple lands.

While I agree with you about WB and Kerala, I think that this huge margin of victory should be used to solve the problem in Kashmir. Modiji has earned a huge political capital that he needs to spend judiciously. There are many ways of approach, and I am sure the PM will apply them as the situation demands. The opposition is in disarray and will not be able to oppose it as they were before the election.

it may be their foreign liberandu virus that is being transmitted here.

Almost all of the verbal bilge by commie/naxal "intellectuals" on pliable media channels and SM diarrhea is offshore agenda driven, sourced and inspired.
