Pak Commandos' Hand Suspected In Deadly J&K Encounter, Say Sources
The group of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch have been able to evade thousands of security forces for eight days while nine soldiers have died in the encounter.
Rajeev Ranjan, Edited by Divyanshu Dutta Roy: October 17, 2021

New Delhi:The ferocity of the fighting between security forces and the group of terrorists holed up in the jungles of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district for at least eight days suggests the infiltrators were trained by Pakistani commandos, sources in the army and police have said.
Nine soldiers including two Junior Commissioned Officers or JCOs have been killed in the line of duty, fighting these terrorists since Monday, in what has become the deadliest encounter for India's military in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years.
It is also unclear if any of the terrorists have been killed since no bodies have been found yet. The fighting in the 8-9 km stretch of thick forest has continued despite a massive combing operation, a tight cordon and intense shelling.
In the first brush with these terrorists, five soldiers, including a JCO, were killed on the night of October 10 in the Dera Wali Gali area of Poonch, which is close to the Line of Control.
Following this, an army group searching for the terrorists were ambushed in the forests of Nar Khas on Thursday. Two soldiers were killed and two more, including a JCO, went missing. Their bodies were recovered after a tough operation two days later.

We have to hit back and kill some harami in POK. Sure Modi is planning something. Where and in what shape, that is the question.

That's a large area. Sounds like there are two or more groups of terrorists with an arsenal and supplies large enough for a prolonged siege. I wonder if these groups are in communication with their handlers across the LOC.

Even assuming there are multiple groups how are they sustaining their supplies while constantly on the move ? Its been 8 days now and no terrorist has been caught or found dead. One possibility is they have stocked ammo and food in multiple places over the months .

Army chief is visiting 16 corp Nagrota HQ today.

Yahoos may also be receiving CasEvac and medical treatment - silence on any estimation of how many Yahoos killed maybe an indication of that.
So all in all - this is PA entering Indian territory and kiling our jawans. I hope the wrath of Rudra is unleashed.
I have low hope of a substantial response. There is a bizzare obsession of "peace at all cost" , "shouldn't escalate, manage the Pak problem" within GoI, irrespective of the a party in power.

I feel this applies to IA as well. There is no effort made to badly punish PA, invest and apply tech to silence PA artillery and other response options.

If it was US or Israel, they will make sure to mount a video graphed campaign. There will be no one doubting a response was given, even if it was hiting a single house. In our case.. even a major event like Balakot was not a black or white op. Allowed Pak to create all sorts of drama..

There is a strong track 2 and "we are the same people" lobby in our political circles. I have little hope of improvement.

Few thoughts... We cannot be expecting an announcement from the Govt and IA about a punitive operation. We need to deal with the current situation first and then mete out punishment at the time and place of our choosing. We are not US or Israel. US signed up with with the Talibs on Paki advice after losing 1000s of her soldiers killed by the same Talibs. So let us not cite them as examples. We have done surgical strikes with both special forces and IAF. There has been 1000s of fire assaults and killed every pig that enters our territory. Track 2 or IFS or any other groups cannot dictate terms with PMO. Ultimately it is the decision of PM and his cabinet on how to deal with a particular situation, while taking everybody's advice. So let us be patient and not raise everyone's BP.

1. All out-of-state labourers should be insured for a decent sum by J&K government for life and loss of livelihood. This should be done at the expense of the UT government.
2. In case of a terrorist who has been identified as having harmed (or planning to harm) migrant labour, their property including family property, if any, should be confiscated by J&K government to fund the above.
3. Any action of point 2 above should be widely publicized.

Agreed. Might I suggest a law that enables local courts to prosecute those individuals that provide safe harbor and succor to terrorists and terror organizations. This list would include stone pelters that gather and hinder during a CI operation.

Scared, but not leaving Kashmir as people are kind: Migrant workers
Source: PTI - Edited By: Hemant Waje, October 18, 2021

Sanjay Kumar like many migrant labourers from Bihar and other places working in Kashmir are scared following the killing of five non-locals by terrorists this month, but say they will go nowhere as wages are high and residents are kind.
Labourers from several parts of the country come to the Valley every year in early March for skilled and unskilled jobs such as masonry, carpentry, welding and farming, and go back home before the onset of winter in November.
"We are scared but we are not going back to Bihar, at least not yet. We go back in the first week of November every year and that is how it will be this time too," Shankar Narayan, a 45-year-old labourer from Bihar, said.
Kumar, who like Narayan also hails from Bihar, said he will go back to his native place according to schedule in the first week of November.
Narayan has been coming to Kashmir every March for the past 15 years and works here till the first week of November before returning home.
He said he has not faced any problem during his stay in Kashmir.

Two words need to be paramount in responding to cross border infiltration. Immediate and Disproportionate. Give our forces a free hand to decide on both.

PM should make a public statement: "Not allowing a single infiltrator to cross over into India from their territory is our neighbours' responsibility. I have authorised Indian forces under CDS to take all measures needed on Land, air & sea to stop infiltration by responding immedately and disproptionately in any place of their choice within or outside India."

Surgical strikes and balakot must be the minimum guaranteed response. Not some exceptional event.

Growing some cojones is more important than a beard.

Kab tak sahte rahengey bhai? Countries a fraction of our size and economy are bleeding us every day, and we are like let's get to 5T first.... :-?

It is not just about the PM but also the top army brass who needs to come up with a better strategy for COIN. This level of losses in unacceptable while fighting a rag-tag bunch of madrassa trained jihadi scum. While I understand not much can be done about shoot and scoot attacks on civilians, what is happening in Poonch needs to be thoroughly analyzed . Then again, we all know nothing will change and we will move on to the next outrage. If nothing else I wish someone could kick the gonads of Pravin Sawhney and Ajay Shukla .

They may not be rag tag madarssa trained jihadi scum. Growing a beard and brother's patloon is all it takes. This is Pak extracting quid pro quo for supporting Talibunnies in Afghanistan. While we are busy organising conferences, they are already infiltrated and running amok.

It is not about the capability and we don't have to be US or Israel. It is about the intent. And there is no intent in Delhi to really punish Pak.

When a MP was about to introduce a bill in Parliament, declaring Pak as a terror state, he was promptly "managed".

We don't hear the bill anymore, do we?

There are 3 individuals i am hesitant to rely upon for meaningful, trustworthy information given their past history, namely Abhijit Iyer-Mitra for defense and strategic affairs, Dr PP for psephology and Baba Banarasi for OSINT, that said multiple Indian defense twitter handles are claiming something "big" has been done. Don't know if this means we finally shot dead the terrorists in Poonch or if the big guns are singing again on the LOC or some action has been taken beyond the border.

According to Banaraswaley Baba in an earlier tweet - "All 6 killed terrorists in ongoing #Poonch operations are Pakistani. 4-10 terrorists are still in the jungle of #Rajauri & #Poonch". In a later tweet - "काम हो गया है !"

India moves thousands of Kashmir migrants to secure locations after deadly attacks
Story by Reuters, Tue October 19, 2021
Srinagar, IndiaIndian authorities have moved thousands of migrant workers in Kashmir to safer locations overnight, while hundreds have fled the Himalayan valley after a wave of targeted killings, two security officials said on Monday.
Suspected militants have killed 11 civilians, including five migrant workers, in Kashmir since early October despite a widespread security crackdown in the heavily militarized region.
While the trigger for the latest wave of attacks was not immediately clear, Kashmir has been the site of armed insurgency against New Delhi for decades. Kashmir is claimed in full by India and Pakistan but ruled in parts by both.
"We moved thousands of workers to secure places and are facilitating their return home," a senior police official told Reuters, declining to be named as he was not authorized to speak to the media.
In other areas, security forces had intensified patrolling to prevent any militant activity, the official added.
A government spokesperson in Kashmir's main city of Srinagar declined to comment on the movement of migrant workers.

The attack came October 20, 1962. Cuban Missile Crisis was also at the same time. The affair in JK is minor in comparison.

Locals Asked To Stay Indoors As Anti-Terror Ops In J&K’s Forest Enter Day 9

extracts
Locals have been asked not to venture out into the forest area and to keep their livestock at their homes in view of the ongoing operation, they said. Those who have gone outside were asked to return to their homes along with their animals, the officials said.
While a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and four other security personnel were martyred in a fierce gunfight at the start of the counter-insurgency operation in the Surankote forest of Poonch on October 11, four other soldiers including another JCO were martyred in another encounter in the Nar Khas forest in Mendhar Thursday evening after the security forces extended the cordon and search operation.
An encounter was on in the adjoining Thanamandi forest in the Rajouri district on October 11 when the security forces confronted the fleeing terrorists who later managed to escape.
The entire forest belt continues to be under tight security cordon to kill the terrorists, the officials said, adding, the area is mountainous and the forest is dense, making the operation difficult and dangerous.
Eight suspects, including a woman and her son, were detained for questioning from Bhata Dhurian in connection with providing logistical support to the terrorists. However, it has not yet been ascertained whether the support was given voluntarily or under duress, the officials said.
Earlier on Saturday, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri-Poonch range Vivek Gupta said the presence of the terrorists in the forest area connecting Poonch and Rajouri was observed two and a half months ago and accordingly tactical operations were launched to track them down.
“The joint security grid was tracking different groups of terrorists but sometimes operations take time, depending on the topography of the area. The contact with the terrorists was established on three occasions during the start of the operation, based on the intelligence inputs,” the officer had said, adding, the terrorists are holed up and the joint forces are on the job to take the operation to the logical conclusion.
The army has already deployed para-commandos and a helicopter was seen hovering over the forest area on Saturday for surveillance.

Confirming the development, J&K Police said, “One of the two terrorists killed in the encounter has been identified as Adil Ah Wani. He has been active since July 2020. He was involved in the killing of one poor labourer at Litter, Pulwama.’’
Syed Khalid Hussain Hussain, Oct 20, 2021

SRINAGAR: The security forces on Wednesday gunned down two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including the one who killed a poor carpenter from the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian.
Three security personnel were also injured in the Shopian encounter, the officials said.
Confirming the development, J&K Police in a tweet said, “One of the two terrorists killed in the encounter has been identified as Adil Ah Wani. He has been active since July 2020. He was involved in the killing of one poor labourer at Litter, Pulwama.’’
“Search operation is underway,” the J&K Police added. “So far, 15 terrorists have been neutralised in the past two weeks,” IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said while addressing a press conference.
IGP Vijay Kumar also informed that Adil Wani was district commander (Shopian) of proscribed terror outfit LeT. The security forces had earlier launched a cordon and search operation in Dragad area of Shopian district following information about the presence of some terrorists.

Amit Shah’s first visit to Kashmir since Article 370 abrogation | What it means
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Kashmir Valley for the first time since the abrogation of Article 370.
Prabhash K Dutta, October 23, 2021

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will spend three days in Jammu and Kashmir beginning Saturday. His Kashmir visit comes as part of the Narendra Modi government’s outreach programme under which Union ministers are travelling to the region.
This is Amit Shah’s first visit to the Kashmir Valley since August 2019 when he brought a resolution to cease operation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, and a reorganisation bill that bifurcated the erstwhile state into two Union Territories — Ladakh being the other.
As the Union home minister, this is Amit Shah’s second visit to the Kashmir Valley. He had visited the Valley in June 2019 — barely 40 days before he moved papers in Parliament for a fresh political churning in Kashmir. The decision to abrogate Article 370, which accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was touted as a historic one that would curb terrorism and bring political stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
TIMING
Incidentally, Amit Shah’s visit comes when the Indian Army has been involved in one of the most extensive combing operations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch-Rajouri area. Indian Army chief MM Naravane visited the Kashmir Valley earlier this week, after which the forces launched an all-out operation against the terrorists. Nine soldiers, including two junior commissioned officers (JCOs) have died in encounters with terrorists in dense forest areas. Reports, however, suggest that despite using drones, the forces have not been able to sight terrorists believed to be hiding in the area.
TERROR
The terrorists are believed to have been hiding in the area for about two months. Some source-based reports have claimed that security agencies suspect that this group of terrorists could be responsible for terror attacks in Kashmir Valley since August this year — on August 6, August 19, September 13 and two attacks during the ongoing operation.
Earlier in June this year, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) told Parliament that incidents of terrorism reduced by 59 per cent in 2020 compared to 2019 and further by 32 per cent till June 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.

UAPA slapped on J-K students for celebrating Pak win over India
Source: PTI, October 26, 2021

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered two cases against medical students in Srinagar under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for celebrating Pakistan's victory over India in a T20 international cricket match, officials said on Tuesday.
The cases have been registered against the students living in hostels at the Government Medical College in Karan Nagar in Srinagar and SKIMS Soura, the officials said.
The two cases under the UAPA have been registered in Karan Nagar and Soura police stations respectively, they said.
Videos of the celebrations of Pakistan's victory against arch-rivals India at many places in the valley went viral on social media. The match took place on Sunday in Dubai. At many places, firecrackers were also burst following Pakistan's victory.

^^^ It is better to make sure that UAPA sections remain valid - I.e there is proof that the students did some 'unlawful activities'. At times our courts also take very liberal view and say that even Indians chanting 'Pakistan Zindabad' should be taken in sportsman spirit. But if there are other actions which the students did and which was harmful to India, the charge sheet should focus on that.

"Indians in General" is like a blanket statement. As I see it the number of urban dwelling, 100% literate (!?), progressive & liberal (!?) is on the increase. And this crowd invariably seems to be becoming more pro-Islamists than understanding their own original roots; as they can be influenced by social media, English main stream media etc. Unless I see a scheme where so called 'modern education' providers encourage upcoming generations to look inwards and find India's non-Mogul, non-British history I don't see such a bright future for the country as such (in next 50-100 years). The fact that BIF is also well entrenched is only going to add to the problems.

They are not naive. It is the MSM of the NYT type that writes lachrymose articles on India’s minorities.

Indians I speak to are mostly dismissive of this type of narrative. It’s the MSM in the west that has supported the liquidation of perhaps 1.5 million Muslims in the last few decades. Of course Muslim on Muslim violence earns the silence of those outraged by Bush, Modi, Trump, CAA etc

Westerners are not particularly bothered by this. Do you really think Indians are?

When ‘Parshuram’ came to rescue J&K
extracts
Time-0500 hours. Place- Wellington (Safdarjung) air field, Delhi, 27 October 1947.
Precisely 75 years back in the darkness of the Wellington airfield on a cold autumn morning the propellers of DC- 3 Dakotas of Number 12 squadron, IAF, were whirring fast and furious with Squadron leader KL Bhatia at the controls ready for his maiden and epoch creating sortie to the beleaguered state of Jammu and Kashmir . To be etched into the annals of Indian aviation history as well as history of independent India the first sortie by this Dakota has till date maintained an umbilical cord of emotional attachment with the Indian air force. Welcome to the resurrection and a wonderful saga of Dakota DC-3, tail number VP-905 of number 12 squadron of the Indian air force. The take off by a formation of 3 DC-3 Dakota aircrafts signaled the start of the now famous 1947-48 operations on an SOS call from the marooned Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir HH Maharaja Hari Singh ,who a day prior only had signed the instrument of accession with the dominion of India under pressure from the infamous tribal raid from Pakistan.
Though relatively not known much in the media, the first airlift by the independent India in defence of its state of Jammu and Kashmir has few parallels in the world for its short notice as also the lack of information about the place of landing at the contested Srinagar airfield. Even the then Governor General of India Lord Mountbatten had commended the way country’s fledgling air force rose to the occasion and put to shame even the famous “Berlin airlift ” under the” Marshal plan” undertaken by US/UK to a marooned city of Berlin immediately after the 2 WW.The above action was a testimony to the fact that an independent India could stand on its feet and call shots too. As the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir celebrated its 75 th year of accession with the union of India on 26 th October 1947 ,it ought to be remembered by the people of that area that it was the super human efforts put in by the ‘Proverbial Gods from the skies” the “Dakotas” which gave them the life line to cling to a future of hope as also deliverance from the forces of evil.
Flying in a formation of 3 Dakota aircrafts with the lead elements of the only readily available Indian army unit 1st Sikh, number 12 squadron spearheaded the country’s resolve in all its entirety. Before the end of the day the formation had flown 28 sorties in all. In the days to come the formation had flown sorties with 25 pounder guns in its belly for the saving of Poonch garrison. The importance of any inanimate icon, its shape ,size and colour for resurrection to instill a sense of Déjà vu as also to galvanize the countrymen can’t be overemphasized over a period of time.
and
Hence on a cold spring morning Thursday the IAF in the year 2018 took over symbolically the completely refurbished Dakota aircraft that was part of IAF’s first transport squardon ,12 squardon to be precise. Given a tail number VP-905 that landed in Srinagar on 27 th October 1947 with lead troops from the 1st Sikh and saved the Srinagar airfield from the tribal raiders, this Dakota joined two other vintage aircraft fleet located at air force station Hindon. Flying all the way from RAF Benson a typical airbase tucked away in the Cotswolds, UK not far from the Oxford, the Dakota renamed as ‘Parshuram” the eternal Sage -god of Hindu mythology epitomizes the emergence of good to vanquish the evils from the world when all hope seemed to be lost. The country and in particular Jammu and Kashmir owe the “Parshuram’ their eternal gratitude for coming to their help when slender was the thread of survival .

Why Kashmiri pandits do not fight back ? Why we Indians want to please these scums. Why Hindus are behaving like goats? For one Bihari killed we have to settle 100s more (armed).

Kashmiris who cheered for Pak team charged with sedition, sent to jail
Source: PTI - Edited By: Utkarsh Mishra, October 29, 2021

Three Kashmiri students arrested in Agra for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans were on Thursday booked for sedition, Uttar Pradesh Police officials said.
The three students, two of them aged 20 and one 21, were also remanded in 14-day judicial custody by an Agra court, the officials said.
While coming out of the court, they were allegedly heckled and chased by some people.
Meanwhile, a body of Jammu and Kashmir students urged Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath for the withdrawal of the sedition charge against them.
Adityanath earlier in the day had said the sedition law will be invoked against those celebrating Pakistan's victory against India in the recent T20 World Cup match. "The three students were arrested on Wednesday after an FIR was lodged against them at the Jagdishpura police station. "They were accused of raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the wake of an India-Pakistan T20 cricket match and posting celebratory messages on social media after Pakistan's victory," a police official told PTI.On Thursday, they were produced in a magistrate's court in Agra, which remanded them in 14-day judicial custody, the official said.
"The FIR was initially registered under IPC Sections 153A (promoting enmity between groups) and 505 (creating or publishing content to promote enmity). Section 124A (sedition) of the IPC was included on Friday in the case," the police official said.
The trio studies in a private college affiliated to Agra University.

Civilian Resistance at Ichhama-A 1947 Pakistan Invasion Story

extracts
Non-Muslims organized resistance at different places in Jammu region-Mirpur, Bhimber, Poonch, Rajouri, Deva Vatala, etc. Muzaffarabad too witnessed civilian resistance at some places.Active involvement of Pak army made outcome of civilian resistance difficult.
Unlike parts of Jammu province and Muzaffarabad Kashmir valley proper saw civilian resistance at three places only-Chhoor-Bulgam in Sopore and Ichhama and Atna in Tangmarg region. In all these places it were the Sikhs who organized the defence.Over 300 Sikhs were massacred in the Bulgam encounter on 30 October 1947.
Sikhs of the Hamal region and Ashnaji (Uri) too received the news about the Pakistani attack but could not flee well in time. There were gruesome massacres at Ashnaji, Shalakot, Wampora, Chogul, Yaarbug, Dengiwacha, Ninghal and Budgam.
Sikhs of Baramulla and the area called Krun fled their villages and marched towards Ichhama. More than 3000 members of Sikh community assembled at Ichhama by the evening of 29 October 1947.One Pandit family of neighbouring village Yaal and two families of Larikpora too joined them.
Contrary to the accounts that say Pakistan invaders after entering Baramulla refused to move ahead evidence available refutes it.This is not to deny that there was no conflict between Major Khurshid Anwar and Pashtun tribesmen over loot on one hand and between Khurshid Anwar and Pakistan Govt.over formation of ‘Provisional Govt.’ on the other.
The plan drawn by Pakistanis had already envisaged that a section of invaders would try to capture the Srinagar airfield by taking a route which passed through Ichhama and Atna.In fact ,accounts claim that Major Khurshid Anwar along with Pir Manki Sharif had done RECCE of the route on 17 September 1947.
Maqbool Sherwani
So question of the invaders having been diverted by Maqbool Sherwani towards Tangmarg region looks out of place. Sherwani was in Sopore between 27 to 29 October1947 and helped the Pandit families flee the town before the invaders entered there. Then on 29 October 1947 he left for Srinagar along with Sopore NC leader Sofi Mohammad Akbar via Bandipore. He remained there till 2 November 1947 and thereafter he left alone for Sumbal ,possibly on way to Baramulla. At Satkreri he was betrayed by someone to the invaders. He was taken to Baramulla and brutally killed there.
Pakistani Attack
Soon after entering Baramulla town on 27 October 1947 Captain Sher Khan,a deserter of State army, left late in the afternoon for the airfield. He had taken along a force of 40 Pak army regulars with him. After targeting Sikh dominated villages enroute he reached Palapora on 30 October 1947. Around 45 members of the Sikh community of Chandoosa village were killed in a gruesome massacre in a nearby ravine. There was loot and arson also at many places.
After fall of Pattan Major Khurshid Anwar, head of the invaders, reached there on 29 October 1947.He had reportedly 500 Mahsud tribesmen with him. From Pattan he had carried a big mob of locals for loot and came via Khor to Aripantan.
Latif Afghani’s name frequently comes up in the accounts of Pakistani invasion.A crony of Pakistan Minister Mian Iftikharuddin he had remained an activist of Communist Party of India in 1940s.Being politically ambitious like many other Pakistani communists he joined Muslim League. Latif Afghani was drafted for invasion by Mian Iftikharuddin and Col.Akbar Khan.He reached Gugaldara village on the morning of 31 October 1947.His force of 100 men comprised mostly Muslim League workers.Academic Eqbal Ahmad, who was part of Latif Afghani’s column, has provided eyewitness accounts of the incidents at Shalteng.Whether Latif Afghani was already tasked for the assignment or else was ordered to go after Sikh resistance at Ichhama not much details are available in the accounts of the invasion.
The columns of Sher Khan,Khurshid Anwar and Latif Afghani pitched on outskirts of Ichhama.
resistance of the local non muslim population
Ichhama
Latif Afghani’s column soon after arrival attacked Dalwash village.Sikh youth gave tough resistance to the invaders.Realising that they were up against a stronger force the villagers vacated Dalwash and moved towards Ichhama and Atna. The village was looted by the invaders and houses of Sikh families set on fire.
Oral testimonies indicate Sikh defenders at Ichhama were well prepared to face the assault. There were three attacks by the invaders on 31 October 1947.All these attacks were successfully repulsed.Heroic fight by Sardar Ujagar Singh Mistry and many others is recalled to this day by the survivors.Capt Sher Khan was reportedly killed.Khurshid Anwar was hit by a bullet in the thigh and was evacuated. No definite figures are available about killings of Sikhs at Ichhama.A conservative estimate puts it at 32.
Serious injury to Khurshid Anwar forced the invaders to retreat. In a tactically wise decision the Sikhs decided to march towards Srinagar. More than 70 percent of their ammunition was exhausted. Next day as expected the invaders came in much bigger numbers and burnt down Sikh villages including Ichhama. The houses of the Pandit families in Larikpora too were burnt.
Atna
On 1 November 1947 the invaders targeted village Atna. Many Sikh families had assembled there. They fought heroically. An old woman Mata Gangi Kaur picked up a sword in hand and exhorted her community members to fight -Inko roko.Insay daro nahi.Ladna hai.(Stop them.Don’t be afraid of them.We have to fight.)With this brave call she moved forward and achieved martyrdom.
Memorial
It was because of the resistance by the Sikhs at Ichhama and Atna that arrival of the invaders in Budgam was delayed to 2 November 1947 when martyr Major Somnath Sharma spotted them near a nullah.Had there been no resistance at Ichhama the invaders would have been at Budgam on 31 October 1947 itself.Ichhama front gave breather of crucial 2 days for more reinforcements to arrive from Delhi.
GOI needs to raise memorials at Ichhama and Atna to commemorate the heroic sacrifices of Shaheed Ujagar Singh Mistry, Mata Gangi Kaur and many others who fought Pak invaders. Unfortunately, the role of Sikh partisans at Ichhama has found little space in narratives on 1947.

That is the bane of us Hindus since independence. Else how can we let 100s of bakistan mushroom in our country.

Time has come when we need to donate one of our family members from each and every hindu household for dharma and defence of Bharata, just like how Khalsa was formed by Hindus of Punjab.

Hindus must unite and form the resistance, else the menance will only amplify greater and greater. Lets stop with relying on rss aand bhajapa. They are doing what they are doing. It is what rest of us are doing that needs to be questioned.

Just look at number of KPs who even apply for armed forces, let alone manage to pass the exams. It is a astonishingly dhimmified community which paid the price for its own hubris. Before 1980s, they looked down on non-Kashmiri Hindus because of "Kashmiriyat", higher education standards and lighter skin tone. I had many KPs say something like this, "Kashmiris fight with pens, not swords".
Even now, they want others to fight for their right to live in Kashmir, but are not willing to do something about it apart from criticising gobarment and sometimes taking out a rally of 15-20 people. Most will criticise their KM neighbours and friends in private, yet will act completely opposite in real life and social media. Can't even say what they really feel about the enemy which snatched everything from them. Remember the KP girl whose father was killed recently asking terrorists to debate about quran and peaceful islam? Most are like this.
They have so much in common with Bengalis and Malayali Hindus.

Revenue maps of villages Sunjwan, Chowadhi missing from Patwars, Record Room
excerpts
JAMMU, Nov 5: In what can turn out to be major land scam, several vital public documents (Latha and Massavi) of the Revenue villages Chowadhi and Sunjwan in tehsil Bahu of Jammu district have been missing from concerned patwars as well as General Record Room, Gole Gujral, Jammu.
In addition to Latha and Massavi (Revenue maps), the Book of Record of Rights (Missal-i-Haqiyat) is also missing from the Record Room and the specific pages of the field book were also found missing, forcing the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Raghav Langer to order lodging of an FIR in the case.
this seems to be a planned conspiracy
It has been learnt from the sources that the Divisional Commissioner office has sought an explanation from the concerned tehsildar as to how Fard-i-Intikhabs for these Revenue villages were being issued and mutations being attested in the absence of Latha and Massavi but no satisfactory reply could be provided.
As per the sources, the Divisional head of the Revenue Administration is specially irked at the fact as to why a First Information Report was not yet lodged vis-à-vis this serious matter of missing of vital revenue records and as to how the concerned Revenue offices were functioning till date in the absence of such documents.
On the conditions of anonymity, a revenue expert commented that this seems to be a well planned strategy as Latha/Massavi/ RoR are always prepared in two sets- with one complete set kept in safe custody in General Record Room and the other set is held by Halqa Patwari. He said a proper charge report is made whenever public documents are handed/taken over between the transferee and his reliever and as such the trail can be clearly established.
