sir ji!! right

Sikh empire was at peak from 1799 but it started right after the 3rd battle of panipat.

By 1765. Sikhs were controlling all of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi , NWFP and other areas around. at that time Sikhs did not had a Maharaja and had something called "Misls" total 13 which controlled all these areas and paid annual 10% tribute at GoldenTemple. Later they were consolidated into one sikh kingdom under Maharaja Ranjit singh by 1799.

Curious. Shashi Tharoor seems to have put his experience and talents to some positive use. He went as part of an Indian Delegation - not anti-Indian - -and gave some good facts to hit Pakis at Yoo Enn where he at least knows where to find the pakistans.
Some time back he wrote a long tirade against Modi/JKL/370scrap. It was used by the usual quarters to attack us.
Then the INC Saw Da Lite and got converted, leaving Tharoor up the proverbial pakistan creek w/o a paddle. So, nimble as ever, he seems to have morphed into a Defender of India.
Modi should reward him by sending him as Governor of WB.

Slowly, but steadily, TSP game-plan is coming to the fore:

1. The targeted cold-blooded murder of truck drivers from outside of J&K helping move apple produce.

2. Arms dropping via drones in Punjab. (This one is hard to tell as to how TSP plans to execute).

3. Simultaneous to #1, TSP proxies in India issuing the canard along the lines of what RudraJi mentioned, namely, blame these killings on India's decision. Or mock India saying 370 is supposed to eliminate terror, but it actually increased terror. Basic game-plan is to show no normalcy, scare the living shit out of anyone trying to restore normalcy, and propaganda machine with willing "Indian" collaborators in full throttle.

4. The battle post 370 has just begun. How quickly Indian security agencies can thwart TSP strategy will be one of the key.

Other than above, Paxis found a great set of friends in leftist scum and MSM gangs in the West. They are going to be used to the full extant. Just watch for the reports of Curfew, no medical treatments etc etc reports and statements. Main area is UK and US where in Labour and Dems are siding with Paxis quite openly. Fortunately and hopefully neither Dems nor labour are going to come to power in the next five years at least.

We need a full time information warfare now. We are not doing great in that area.

While I think we are terrible at info warfare (and our politicians do not present a united front abroad), I believe every news story has a cycle and once the mobile phone restrictions were gone and there hasn't been mass killings etc' the media has lost interest. Turkey-Kurds and China-HK will probably get more coverage now. In the longer term US (and possibly UK) elections will overshadow all other stories in those countries.

But that is where we are making the serious mistake. Left is great at information management and warfare. No news will be forgotten. Never. It is all recorded and kept somewhere to be used in future. Rajiv Malhothra says there is a big industry in the West to create and keep creating a serious false narrative about Hindus and the nation. All these creations are kept to be used at a later data. He calls that as atrocity literature. I agree with him on this. Just look at attacks on Savarkar, Golvalkar etc. This will keep us on defensive forever.

Looking back at events since Aug 5, I believe the Govt's actions have corrected the false narratives that Kashmiris (and the usual suspects in rest of India) took for granted for the last 20+ years. These (in a logical flow) were

1. Article 370 & 35A were a half way step to Azadi.
2. If Kashmiris agitate, GoI will be anxious to appease / win hearts and mins etc with more concessions.
3 India had no choice but to accept a soft separatist govt - to control stone pelters & militants and give governance a pro-India facade.
(remember Omar saying `rivers of blood would flow' if anyone tried to tamper with 35A - let alone 370).
4. Pak /China would ensure no Indian excesses. World community (or at least Muslim nations) were sympathetic to the struggle.
5. Indian security forces were the bad guys. Militants were `our boys' protecting us from bad guys.

1. Is now off the table.
2. GoI is least bothered about KMs agitating. Consequences of violent behavior are now a lot more obvious.
3. Bluff of PDP/ NC has been called. Any future govt will now be judged like in any other state of India - on the basis of development.
Weather or not KM's want development is upto them. (Jammu /Ladakh will move ahead without them if required).
4. World does not really give a damn. Pak has failed to internationalise AND their contribution to date has been to encourage the murder of Kashmiris, by terrorists, to show things are not normal. Pak's economic condition does not exactly make it a place KM would like to move to.
China's concerns do not extend beyond Ladakh.
5. Every civilian killed since Aug 5 (and almost every civilian for the past year) has been at the hands of terrorists. Even people with virulent anti-India views probably concede that militants are the real threat to their society.

Besides:
The civilian & security forces death toll since Aug 5 has been the lowest since 2012 and 2nd lowest in 30 years. (see satp.org) Terrorist deaths have been similar to previous years, so terrorists are achieving fewer deaths per killed terrorist.

CSR saar is still in the fight or flight mode going by his latest post. While challenges remain, the danger is not as great as it was before and it is receding a little with everyday.

Deans saar is right that news is cyclical Kashmir doesn't have the traction of China-HK or Turkey-Syria now and will be overtaken in the future by the intensely domestic focused 2020 Presidential election cycle very soon. And for that reason I disagree with CSR saar's alarmist views.

OTOH, Yagnasri saar is right too in that a Western/Global narrative is being built that is anti-India and anti-Yindu to the core with the collaboration is the Islamist, Evangelicals, Global Left, Indian Left, Indian seekoolar, Western Academic and Western media. This is a long-term project whose scope is much beyond the current Kashmir project. This is a multi pronged initiative using Dalit, Minorities, Patriarchy, Apartheid, Hindutva, etc narrative. The aim is to discredit and destroy the very foundations of Indian civilization. There needs to be very robust counter else we will find ourselves paraded as example of everything that is wrong in the world.

What is positive is that I am seeing individuals actively doing their bit to counter the narrative in their domain/area of expertise. While it helps to an extent, it is not enough. Without governmental or some mota party backing, scattered individuals can only do so much.

Someone, either the government or a private entity, needs to create a platform to bring all such individuals along with experts and funding to launch a robust counter campaign and to equip ordinary Indians with enough basic knowledge to be able to give it back to the propagandist and create experts to take back control of the Indic narrative.

Added Later: Example of what individuals are doing on their own BUT heavy duty backing is needed to turn the tide. Posted in reply to distortions in NCERT books.

Move over, CashMore! Uttar Pradesh bans cellphones at colleges
What next? Bihar to ban ladders (used to climb to exam hall window to run 'single-window clearance' of questions/answers)? Malloostan to ban bayonets (used to stick into the desk to inform exam proctors why they should not interfere with Internal Affairs of exam-takers pulling out cheat sheets from various parts)? Hain?

Incidentally, I think many Xtian colleges and maybe other private colleges already ban cellphone use on campus.

The blanket ban is aimed at creating a “better teaching environment for students across all colleges and universities in the state,” the directorate said.
The crackdown was put in place after the government concluded that the state’s young scholars were having trouble focusing on their studies. It’s unclear what the punishment will be if a student or faculty member is caught using a mobile device on campus. According to local media, the extreme measure was likely the brainchild of the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, who already prohibits the use of mobile phones during cabinet meetings. That ban was reportedly put in place because ministers were caught reading messages on WhatsApp during important government consultations.

Please do the needful. Dracula Angana is back ... Please spread this and kick her out
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The US State Department is holding a hearing on Kashmir titled "Human Rights in South Asia: Views from the State Department and the Region" for next Tuesday has been released (https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/hearin ... AJJqMfYrWg).

If you scroll down, you will see that Aarti Tikoo Singh is testifying. This is really wonderful, as Singh is a Kashmiri Pandit journalist who was in Kashmir during the blackout and can critically attest to the ground-reality (good or bad), which is an underrepresented, significant perspective that everyone needs to hear.

However, you'll also notice that Angana Chatterji is on the panel. This is incredibly concerning. Chatterji was removed from panels last year (the Internal Religious Freedom briefing & the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission). She is a well-known ISI mole and appears to have major issues with ethics.

(Read here for more information: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TVj ... sp=sharing)

HOW YOU CAN HELP: We need to get Chatterji off of the panel.

1. Please read the document linked above.

2. Get people to tweet @BradSherman that she is affecting
the credibility of the panel.

3. Go to his FB site, https://www.facebook.com/CongressmanBradSherman

4. Call his office, (202) 225-5911.

5. SHARE WITH YOUR NETWORK!

If you can take 15 minutes to read the doc and contact Brad Sherman within the next few days, you will be doing a LOT to ensure that elected officials have access to information from and can ask key critical questions of credible sources. We must push for an ethical panel on a topic that has been so skewed in its representation in the media.

Already, we've seen that, aside from Tulsi Gabbard, even the Democratic presidential candidates have bought into Pakistani propaganda and a very narrow and exclusive construction of the human rights story in Kashmir.

This is an opportunity for something else, for greater truth telling.

Take this story with a pinch of salt, as the Telegraph is perhaps the most rabidly anti-BJP newspaper in India.

The government is anticipating trouble in Kashmir.

CRPF told to stock up on non-lethal munitions in Kashmir

The government has asked the Central Reserve Police Force to stock up on non-lethal munitions for possible use in Kashmir, anticipating long-drawn protests and demonstrations in the coming days.

Sources in the Union home ministry said the move was also aimed at neutralising allegations of human rights violation.

“Disillusionment is in the air in the Valley, so is the growing alienation. The home ministry has empowered the CRPF top brass to procure a large quantity of non-lethal munitions to tackle protesters,” a ministry official told The Telegraph.

govt employees recruited by a separatist govt headed by anyone of the families has to be a separatist. No doubts about it.

USINPAC JOINTLY HOLDS CAPITOL HILL BRIEFING ON KASHMIR

For immediate release October 19, 2019
Washington, DC Contact: media@usinpac.com

Washington D.C.: On October 16, 2019, the Indo American Community Federation (IACF), along with Congresswoman Anna Eshoo and in cooperation with the US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), the Kashmiri Overseas Association (KOA) and the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS-USA), hosted a Capitol Hill briefing on the way forward in Kashmir.

The unresolved issue of Kashmir has been a source of conflict since British India was partitioned into Pakistan and India in 1947. In the last three decades, over 42,000 people have lost their lives due to cross-border terrorism along the Line of Control (LoC) that separates Pakistan and India Kashmir. On August 5, 2019, PM Modi’s government took historic action to promote peace and reintegrate India-administered Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) by removing Articles 370 and 35A, or special status for J&K. PM Modi has since called for two Union Territories in the state, with the promise of elections soon.

The briefing on Kashmir highlighted India’s efforts to promote pluralism so that all communities can live in harmony. The briefing was the first on Capitol Hill to do so. Influential Members of Congress participated including Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, Ro Khanna, Mike Thompson, Zoe Lofgren, Mark DeSaulnier Dorothy Matsui and Chairman Eliot Engel of the powerful House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Personal victim accounts of persecution were shared and a video about current life in Kashmir was also shown. Jeff Smith of the Heritage Foundation, who has previously visited Kashmir, said he was touched by the stories shared and wondered why these accounts of genocide and ethnic cleansing had not been covered by the western press, while Pakistan’s narrative about Kashmir has been getting wide press coverage.

Congressman Khanna said, “I was born in the USA in 1976 and I am proud of my South Asian roots. I came to this briefing to grasp the many issues related to the Kashmiri community and I am glad I am here tonight to learn more.”

Congresswoman Eshoo said, “It is a testament to this worthy cause [of the Indian American community] that we have so many Members of Congress here to support you, including Chairman Eliot Engel. I am very touched and can’t believe so much torture is being inflicted in Kashmir.”

Chairman Engel said, “Democratic and pluralistic communities are very much needed to live harmoniously and I commend all of you for promoting harmony across the globe.”

Sanjay Puri, Chairman of USINPAC, said, “Kashmir is a very serious issue for Indian Americans. It should also be an important issue to the US, as India is a vital partner. We must continue to work together so that the future generations of Kashmir, regardless of their background or religion, have an opportunity for good education, jobs and security.”

“All this happens when national leaders come together with the same vision and focus,” Jeevan Zutshi, founder of IACF, said. “In this case, IACF, KOA and USINPAC came together to educate Members of Congress in hopes of making Kashmir a fully pluralistic society where all Kashmiris of different faiths can live together.”
About USINPAC:
The US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC) is a bipartisan nonprofit organization that leverages the power of over 4 million Indian Americans to bring about outcomes that matter. Boondoggles from Dilli: Stone-throwers to practise using Apples and Walnuts.

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) will see the fastest pace of development from November 1 when it ceases to be a state and becomes a union territory, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh said. The Centre plans to unveil a slew of development programmes from special apple parks to cherry parks in the Valley.

"North-eastern states have seen a lot of development in the past five years given the special focus on them. J&K is better connected and several lessons the government has learnt from the north-east will be implemented in J&K with a special emphasis on employment generation for youth," Jitendra Singh said.

The Central government's pilot project will focus on apples, cherries, strawberries, walnut and willow. "Stone pelting and terror activities are down and with youth gainfully employed, the aim is to ensure Pakistan's influence is completely neutralized in Kashmir," the minister said.

The Centre is adopting a multi-pronged strategy to counter Pakistan's state-sponsored terror in the Valley.

The security forces are going all out to neutralise terrorists. Parents and peers have been roped in to ensure local boys are weaned away from guns. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval's main directive to the administration is to completely choke the availability of funds to terrorists.

The Centre has realized that Pakistan's notorious spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is trying to ensure apple growers are unable to sell their produce. The Army and the J&K police are creating a safe corridor for apple trucks to load from orchards and reach Jammu.

The Army, CRPF and the police have increased their presence closer to the orchards. The intelligence-based operations are also being mounted to neutralise terrorists targeting the orchard owners and traders.

Meanwhile, the security forces are creating safe camps for truckers in an attempt to keep them safe from terrorists. "The summer of 2020 will see a new dawn of peace because the people of J&K will defeat terror," Jitendra Singh adds.

If you want neuj, I give you some dork media neuj to vomit over:

Crisis in Kashmir: Bond of silence that buys freedom

Kashmir has lost not just its special status but also its azadi to speak.

A bond the government is forcing detainees, including top politicians, to sign to secure their release bans them from speaking against “the recent events” in Jammu and Kashmir — a thinly veiled reference to the changes to the state’s constitutional status and the security clampdown.

Senior lawyers and rights activists have described this bond — a tweaked version of the standard bond under Section 107 of the Criminal Procedure Code that potential troublemakers are asked to sign — as “illegal” and unconstitutional.

Kashmiris feel betrayed: Farooq kin

Kashmiris feel betrayed by India, one of Sheikh Abdullah’s granddaughters said at a protest meeting here against the 75-day-old clampdown in Jammu and Kashmir.

I applaud the first and say F*** U to the second. Don't give a pakistan about the "feelings" of the Cash More mafia. The Polis are doing several innovative things:
1. Backsides of stone-throwers take on a bluish tinge.
2. Entire village (50 men) has to give written assurance of good behavior b4 "teenager" stone-throwers are released.
3. "Child" stone throwers are taught valuable skills: clean the pakistans at the polis stations.

4. Compared to those, this "bond" bijnej is minor. Bottom line: they are secessionists. In any other country they would be dead.

Plus this stunt of keeping bijnej closed... that can be quickly deflated by revoking bijnej licenses of those who don't open for bijnej and condemning the property. Parking is at a premium in Srinagar, I bet.

There's a fellow called CJ Werleman (possibly a Joo) on Twitter who constantly keeps carping that yeevil yindooz running Dilli are making life so hard for poor Kashmiris. Today his video was Ayyub's one on bijnesh being closed. He needs a good thrashing.

Don't let name fool you: Every one of those is Paki. Ask him/her how come s(he) is posting during the Fridin noon brayer hour and whether the Anti-Blasphemy Court is aware of this. I did that once: caused sheer panic.

https://www.dailyexcelsior.com/4-terror ... ts-killed/

4 terror launch pads destroyed; 6-10 Pak jawans, about 20 militants killed
excerpts
“Number of casualties on Pakistan side could be more as there was kind of radio silence on the other side of the LoC which was targeted by the Indian troops in view of reports that Pakistan army was trying to infiltrate large number of militants into the Kashmir valley after completion of their training,” official sources told the Excelsior.
The Indian retaliatory action came immediately after two Indian Army jawans and a civilian were martyred and three locals were injured last night in Tanghdar sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Highly placed sources, however, said at least 20 militants were killed in the Indian artillery fire, adding the figure may be quite high as the four terror launch pads were hit directly in the Indian action and destroyed. Five to seven militants are accommodated by the Pakistan army in one launch pad before trying to push them into the Indian territory.
Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat, who briefed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh this afternoon in view of the situation arising out of strong military action by India to hit terror launch pads along the LoC in PoK, told reporters that artillery guns were used to target terrorist camps in PoK and on the basis of reports that they have been getting, 6-10 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, three camps destroyed and similar number of terrorists also killed.
“Confirmed reports tell that casualties to terrorists are more than the information we have as there is kind of radio silence on the other side, not even able to pick up any mobile communication from across,” Gen Rawat said, adding: “We have caused severe damage to terrorist infrastructure. Terrorist camps opposed Tanghdar sector have been destroyed”.
