https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/bhoomi- ... ferencing/
The Congress party has now come out and suggested that the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the construction of the Bhavya Ram Mandir at Ayodhya should be conducted virtually. Earlier, the same suggestion was made by their alliance partner in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena. The Bhoomi Pujan is set to occur on the 5th of August, 2020.

Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra from the Congress party and Cabinet Minister in the current government, Ashok Chavan, said, “All the religious places have been shut due to the Coronavirus outbreak. If Bhumi Pujan could be done virtually it would be good.”

This civilization wasn't founded on the principles of secularism. Dharma has no relevance to religions.

Telecasting Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan is ‘against India’s secular image’: Communists upset at live telecast by Doordarshan
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/chi-com ... t-pm-modi/
The CPI further opined that as a national broadcaster of a country founded on the 'principles of secularism and religious harmony', the usage of Doordarshan to videocast a religious ceremony in Ayodhya on August 5 is in contravention to the prevailing norms of national integrity.

The Bhoomi Pujan at Ram Janmabhoomi is no place for ‘Muslim Ram Bhakts’ who believe Shri Rama is an Islamic cleric and not a God
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/muslim- ... r-ayodhya/
The Bhoomi Pujan at Ram Janmabhoomi for the construction of the much awaited Bhavya Ram Mandir is all set to occur on the 5th of August, 2020. The event will be attended by various luminaries and the Puja will be performed by Prime Minister Modi himself. With days remaining for the auspicious event, it is being reported that certain ‘Muslim Ram Bhakts’ are on the way to Ayodhya in their bid to attend the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.

Before we proceed any further, there is a need to take a moment to comprehend the monumental significance of the event. The Bhoomi Pujan at Ram Janmabhoomi is the successful culmination of a battle that lasted over five hundred centuries. It is the fulfilment of a dream that has been nurtured by Hindus generations after generation ever since the Temple that stood at the sacred site was demolished by Islamic invaders.

Hundreds and thousands of Hindus marched to their deaths with a smile on their lips so that Shri Rama could return to His Janmabhoomi again. For centuries, our ancestors lived under the hope that a Bhavya Ram Mandir will be constructed at that sacred land again, that the King of Ayodhya will make His return to claim what is His by right. This is the dream that our ancestors harboured. We are living it.

Under such circumstances, that some ‘Muslim Ram Bhakts’ are marching to Ayodhya to attend the Bhoomi Pujan event is a matter of grave concern. It is a matter of grave of concern because the significance of the day is threatened to be hijacked for the purpose of singing paeans to Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. The 5th of August 2020 is not about that. That day belongs to Rama and His devotees alone.

The concern is further aggravated by the fact that such ‘Muslim Ram Bhakts’ do not believe that Shri Rama is Bhagwan. They, instead, relegate Him to the status of an Imam. ‘Imam-e-Hind’ they call Shri Rama. And they wish to attend the event not to pay their respect to the Hindu God but to an Islamic cleric. It is also reported that one Faiz Khan is carrying bricks for the Temple from his home state of Chhatisgarh. And he is carrying those bricks for an Islamic cleric.

Shri Ram mandir is a big Hindu event and it should remain so. It is a major religious event, we all Hindu dharma followers waited for 5 centuries. As a Hindu majority nation, we have a right to celebrate it. Anyone who oppose it, is hurting sentiments of all Hindus. everyone, irrespective of their background should join to celebrate this day and join to chant ... Jai Shri Ram!!

Ayodhya Priest, 15 Cops Deployed At Ram Mandir Site Test Positive For COVID-19 Days Before Bhoomi Pujan
https://swarajyamag.com/insta/ayodhya-p ... oomi-pujan

Days ahead of the bhoomi pujan ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir, an Ayodhya priest and at least 15 police personnel deployed at the temple site have reportedly tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Given the threat of spread of the COVID-19 disease, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust has already appealed to Ram bhakts (devotees of Lord Ram) and saints, who wished to travel to Ayodhya for the ceremony, to not do so. The trust has assured the bhakts that a 'Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Nirman Yajna' will be organised at the right time in future for them to attend.

At least 11 priests form Varanasi and Ayodhya will be performing the puja at the ceremony. However, Das was not among those 11 priests, the report said.

Keeping the norms of social distancing amid COVID-19 pandemic the trust has done away with the idea of a mass event. The Ram Janmabhoomi premises is also being sanitised regularly, the Trust said.

“There is nothing to worry about. One of the priests who performs daily rituals at the temple site has tested positive. The entire campus will be sanitised on a routine basis,” said Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, successor designate to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of the Trust.

The bhoomi pujan will only be attended by around 200 people including political and religious personalities such as senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders L K Advani, M M Joshi, Uma Bharti, and Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat among others.

Security arrangements have also been beefed up in Ayodhya after central intelligence agencies alerted the state police about possible attempts by terror groups to disrupt and sabotage the bhoomi pujan ceremony.

Sacred Soil From Tamil Nadu, Holy Water Of Triveni Sangamam Sent To Ayodhya For Bhoomi Pujan
https://swarajyamag.com/insta/sacred-so ... oomi-pujan

Mukkudal in Kanyakumari is the confluence of three seas — the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.

“Holy water from the Triveni Sangamam in Kanyakumari and sacred soil from Dhanushkodi near Rameswaram have been sent to Ayodhya,” R Sethuraman, Organising Secretary, Tamil Nadu (South) VHP told IANS.

As per the legend, Dhanushkodi is the place where Lord Ram broke the Ram Sethu bridge with his bow’s end and hence the name Dhanushkodi “bows end”.

Rameswaram is one of the important pilgrimage town for Hindus where Ramanathaswamy Temple is located. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Ram prayed to Lord Shiva here.

Sethuraman said ‘prasad’ from Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam near Trichy will also be sent to Ayodhya.

Sethuraman said as per legend, Lord Ram used to perform pooja and pray to Ranganathaswamy (or Lord Vishnu in a reclining posture).

Lord Ram gifted the deity to Vibishana on the condition that the latter cannot keep the idol on the ground and if done then it could not be moved.

While on his way to Lanka, Vibishana kept down the deity on the banks of river Cauvery. Later he was not able to lift it. However, the Lord blessed Vibishana saying that he will always be looking South in a reclining posture and protect his kingdom. Vibishana succeeded his brother to the throne.

Jagdish Sewhani, President of the American India Public Affairs Committee, said on Wednesday that they are making arrangements to celebrate the historical moment of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in New York on 5th August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with prominent leaders and saints, will be present in Ayodhya for the ceremony. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Ram Mandir.

As per a PTI report, Sewhani said that they are leasing prominent billboards for the occasion including the 17,000-square-foot wrap-around LED display screen and the giant Nasdaq screen. These are highest-resolution exterior LED screens at Times Square in New York.

I Will Come Back When Construction Of Ram Mandir Begins - What PM Modi Said After Visiting Ayodhya In 1991
https://swarajyamag.com/insta/i-will-co ... ya-in-1991
As per a report in Times of India, the photographer Mahendra Tripathi had clicked a picture of Prime Minister Modi with senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi when they visited the Janmabhoomi site in 1991.

Tripathi goes on to say that when he and some local journalists asked Prime Minister Modi (then introduced to them as a BJP leader from Gujarat) as to when he would return back to Ayodhya, he replied that he would come back when the construction of Ram Mandir will begin.

The devious efforts to derail the Ram Mandir issue in independent India starts with cha cha neverwho himself.

this megalomaniac britshit stooge, foisted on India not by organisational election, but by tantrum induced selection by deep state sympathizers of extraterritorial interests and his not so harmless series of political "mishaps" that, over the years, have laid much of the groundwork for the long standing communal strife and enemity that is present in the political space today.

when the so called minorities were given their own political space and land which they took and left, why then were the remanants of the same minority who strategically stayed behind given so much of political and social width and communal leeway in the remaining space that should have been the sole preserve of the Hindus. sickularism doesn't mean that political power and right to large parcels of land is a given, and that too, at the cost of the hapless majority who were socially battered, forcibly divided by caste and continuously bruised by their own leaders in the venal pursuit of the mirage of an imagined consolidation of communal votebanks.

in recognition of his services to the Ram Mandir movement, the least that can be done now is to invite some members of the KK Nair family to the Bhumi Puja at Ayodhya.

would someone here kindly tweet this to NM and AS.

Ram Mandir : When KK Nair refused to bow down to Nehru's diktat in 1949

Image

The Ram Janmabhoomi movement is the manifestation of the relentless pursuit and perseverance of leaders who kept everything at stake to ensure that a majestic Ram Mandir is built. When India celebrates Bhoomi Pujan on August 5, it will mark the conclusion of a long-standing struggle by generations of Hindus in rendering justice to Lord Ram in His own country. Despite political pressure and illustrious career at stake, one such man decided to forego everything to ensure that the dream of a magnificent Ram Mandir comes alive.

The man was Kandangalathil Karunakaran Nair, abbreviated as KK Nair. Born in Kerala on September 11, 1907, the erstwhile Indian Civil Service officer was the frontrunner in safeguarding the Fundamental right to worship of Hindus even before India became a Republic. His life began from the village of Kuttanad in Alappuzha in Kerala. After completing his education in the State, Nair went to England for higher studies and cleared the Indian Civil Service (ICS) exam at the age of 21. He was then posted as the Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate of Faizabad, the earlier name of Ayodhya, on June 1, 1949.

Demand for a Ram Mandir left Nehru irked
His endeavour in Ayodhya eventually became the highlight of his career. After receiving a letter from the State government of Uttar Pradesh to do a report on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue, Nair sent his assistant Guru Datt Singh to submit a report on the same. On October 10, 1949, Singh, in his report, recommended the construction of a majestic Ram temple at the site. Singh had visited the site and observed that both Hindus and Muslims performed their ceremonies, side by side.

He wrote, “Hindu public has put in this application with a view to erecting a decent and Vishal temple instead of the small one which exists at present. There is nothing on the way and permission can be given as the Hindu population is very keen to have a nice temple at the place where Bhagwan Ram Chandra Ji was born. The land where the temple is to be erected is of Nazul (government land)”.

KK Nair refused to bow down to Nehru
However, on the directions of an irked Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Govind Vallabh Pant tried to evict the Hindus from the Ram Mandir. However, the KK Nair refused to budge and decided not to implement the order. He highlighted that the Hindus were performing Puja at the site and forcing them to leave would stir riots. He also refused to remove the idols from the site. Nair was eventually suspended by Govind Vallabh Pant from his designation as the District Magistrate.

However, he moved the court against the then Congress government and secured a judgment in his favour. On being reinstated as an ICS officer yet again, Nair bid adieu to civil services. He took the decision in the wake of the growing resentment against Nehru. Nair refused to bow down to the ‘Aurangzebi diktat‘ of Nehru. His open defiance of the then Prime Minister and his firm resolve to ensure justice to the millions of Hindus earned him a place in the hearts of people. As a gesture of endearment, he was called as ‘Nair Sahab’ by people.

KK Nair strives for Ram Mandir politically
Following his resignation from ICS, he started practising as a lawyer in the Allahabad High Court. To strive for the cause of building a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, KK Nair and his family joined the Jan Sangh. His wife Shakuntala Nair contested elections and became a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1952.

Both Nair and his wife eventually became the members of the Lok Sabha in 1962. Interestingly, their driver was also elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, Nair and his wife were arrested during the dark days of the National emergency that was proclaimed by President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed on the behest of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

KK Nair continues to inspire a generation of Hindus
KK Nair passed away on September 7, 1977. He dedicated his life to Jan Sangh and the cause of Ram Mandir. Although he was a celebrated figure in the state of Uttar Pradesh, he received a lot of recognition in his home state of Kerala. Reportedly, the nationalists in the state of Kerala have decided to build a memorial on the land donated by Vishva Hindu Parishad in his village. A Trust by the name of KK Nair Memorial Charitable Trust has also been set up. Besides welfare activities, the trust provides training for civil service aspirants and scholarships for students.

Ram Janmabhoomi movement spearheaded by KK Nair was later continued by tall leaders like of LK Advani, Ashok Kumar, Kalyan Singh, Vinay Katiyar, and Uma Bharti. Following the historic judgment by the supreme court in 2019, a trust has been constituted to build the Majestic Ram Mandir at the same site for which Nair espoused his career. Although KK Nair is no more in this mortal world, yet his contribution to the movement will be cherished for years to come.

Hindu deaths and muslim appeasement much more preferable to runditv and its BIF masters.

no wonder when runditv counts among its owner and his extended family such "illustrious" abhramic desert cult members such as pronoy roy, sussanah arundathi roy and brinda carrot, prakash carrot and many crypto cristo islamic anchors and reporters

NDTV anchor suggests Kalyan Singh should have ordered massacre of Hindus in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992 so as to protect the secular fabric of the nation

Kalyan Singh in an interview with NDTV in 2009

As the much-awaited Bhoomi pujan ceremony of the Ram Mandir approaches, marking the culmination of the long-drawn battle to reclaim the abode of Lord Rama, it is worth drawing attention towards those who had wanted the police to fire bullets on the karsevaks gathered in Ayodhya, apparently, in a bid to protect the secularism of the country.

Days leading to December 6, 1992, thousands of karsevaks, harbouring the dream of getting the Ram Janmabhoomi back flocked to Ayodhya and protested against the disputed structure that symbolised centuries of Muslim tyranny and oppression. On December 6, 1992, a raft of restive karsevaks stormed the premises of the disputed structure, scaled its heights and razed to ground the buildings that were claimed by Hindus as illegal construction over the hallowed Ram Janmabhoomi. The Supreme Court had recently upheld that notion and granted the disputed site of Ayodhya to Hindu for building a magnificent Ram Mandir.

However, while the preparations for the bhoomi pujan in Ayodhya is on the anvil, it is pertinent to reflect upon an important interview of the then UP CM Kalyan Singh. Singh had become an object of scorn of the liberal establishment for ‘allowing’ the karsevaks to demolish the controversial structure and seemingly cause a dent in the pluralism of the country. In the aftermath of the demolition, Singh’s government was sacked and President’s rule was imposed in Uttar Pradesh.

Years later, an NDTV journalist interviewing Kalyan Singh raised aspersions on the wisdom of the former UP CM, asking him if it was wise to save lives of thousands of karsevaks at the expense of “dividing the country”.

In an interview with NDTV in 2009, Kalyan Singh said, “Lakhs of karsevaks were present at the site but I had given explicit orders to the police that no bullets will be fired at them. He elaborated that doing otherwise would have led to the death of 1000s of people. He emphasised, “If I had allowed it to happen, thousands of people would have died from bullets and stampede, and the structure still wouldn’t have survived.”

However, Kalyan Singh’s unapologetic response possibly raised the hackles of the NDTV reporter who questioned Singh’s decision of not letting police fire bullets on the karsevaks gathered around the Babri structure. “You decided to divide crores of people for saving lives of just a few thousands of karsevaks?,” the NDTV journalist asked.

NDTV anchor suggests Kalyan Singh should have passed orders to slaughter 1000s of Hindus

The question posed by the NDTV reporter revealed that the concept of secularism was more important to him than the value of thousands of human lives. It exemplifies the partisanship that NDTV has come to be associated with, where cosseting a particular community is a matter of utmost consideration, even if that entails the loss of thousands of Hindu lives. The NDTV anchor felt no compunction in suggesting former UP CM Kalyan Singh to have ordered deaths of a few thousand Hindus so that the Muslim community can be appeased.

Calling out the anchor’s fearmongering, Singh sharply noted that even after 17 years of the incident, the demolition had not divided the people as claimed by the journalist. He further added that he has no regret, remorse, or guilt for the demolition of the controversial structure.

“I am not sorry for the demolition of the structure. Nor do I feel any contrition for it. No regrets, no repentance, no sorrow, no grief. Following the demolition of the controversial structure, many regard the event as a matter of national shame but I say that it is a matter of national pride,” Singh added.

Kalyan Singh likely to visit Bhoomi pujan ceremony of Ram Temple
Singh, 88, in his recent interview, claimed that he is proud of his decision to not allow the police to open fire on the karsevaks in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992. Singh added that it was the demolition of the disputed structure that paved the way for the Ram Temple bhoomi pujan scheduled on August 5. Singh further added that he wished to see Ram Mandir come up in Ayodhya before his death and take rebirth in the temple town once again.

Singh, who also served as the Governor of Rajasthan, said that the construction of a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would lead to more tourism and ensure the development of the city. Singh is expected to reach Ayodhya on August 4, a day before the bhoomi pujan ceremony is scheduled to be held.

In a freewheeling interview, Singh reiterated his stance, saying that he had no remorse over the demolition of the structure in Ayodhya. He cited Mir Baqi’s demolition of Ram Temple in 1528 as an instance by a Muslim invader trying to humiliate the local Hindu population.

“May be it was destined to happen under my rule. Had there been no demolition, probably the courts too would have ordered status quo. So, it was the demolition that actually has paved the way for the August 5 bhoomi pujan and naturally, I am delighted,” Singh said.

TWITTER

@SirJambvan:

I see tweets thanking Sitaram Goel, Koenraad Elst, and a host of others who contributed to the Ayodhya case. Sure, they deserve our thanks.

However those named also have a contempt for Sangh that they think is rational.

There are many sides to this story .. ++

While intellectuals rightly claim that their research helped in the courts, I don't think the case would have moved forward at all if not for the collective efforts of Swayamsevaks. If Babri Masjid stood, this verdict wouldn't have come - no matter what the evidence was ..

Long story short: extend a little courtesy and respect to those who aren't intellectuals. Without them, we will not achieve any of our goals.

This is how the temporary Mandir of Ram Lalla came up in Ayodhya after the demolition in 1992
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/ram-lal ... emolition/
As the date of Bhoomi Pujan for Ram Mandir is coming closer, more stories are surfacing around demolition the disputed structure of Babri Masjid. One such story is of the temporary Mandir of Ram Lalla that was raised in 1992 after the demolition. Baba Satyanarayan Maurya is one of those Karsewaks who were present at the time when the temporary Mandir was built. In a recently published video, he narrated the story briefly how they had to think quickly before armed forces entered the premises to take them away.

You can do it through western union or other service of your choice. WU gave better exchange rate than Indian banks including SBI/ICICI etc and 0 charge for transfers to SBI RJB savings account or through UPI to RJB account. They also charge 0 for ACH, $4 for debit card more for credit card I think. I used ACH and deleted my bank details in WU once transaction happened to be safe. Whole thing took 1 week to complete because ACH takes 4 days to settle. I think debit card will be much faster, but will incur charge. Just install the app or use their website. There are many other money transfer services like money2india, xoom etc. Look around to compare rates and make your choice.

I remember, this written *many* decades ago, by our national poet Maithilisharan Gupta:
भूलोक का गौरव, प्रकृति का पुण्य लीला-स्थल कहाँ?
फैला मनोहर गिरि हिमालय और गंगाजल कहाँ?
संपूर्ण देशों से अधिक किस देश का उत्कर्ष है?
उसका कि जो ऋषि भूमि है, वह कौन, भारतवर्ष है।

I particularly like this, still etched in my mind, first read more than half a century ago:
भारत माता का मंदिर यह , समता का संवाद जहाँ
सबका शिव कल्याण यहाँ , पावे सभी प्रसाद यहाँ ।
जाति-धर्म या संप्रदाय का नहीं भेद-व्यवधान यहाँ
सबका स्वागत सबका आदर सबका राम सम्मान यहाँ

Why are the anchors on Doordarshan in western clothes? At the very least, DD could wear Indian clothes from different parts of the country. I can understand UndieTV etc but DD should herald Indian clothing.

I’m not one to bandwagon and sloganeer typically but an occasion like this that took centuries of effort to accomplish, more than warrants this joy:
